  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Would you believe that 250 years ago, Benjamin Franklin was an emissary to France?
  12. 0:39He was in the colonies, very prominent in the American Revolution, not only the Declaration
  13. 0:46of Independence, but the Constitution.
  14. 0:49And Benjamin Franklin, he was a Christian, led to the Lord by a Presbyterian evangelist
  15. 0:55named George Whitfield.
  16. 0:56A lot of people think that our founders were just secularists, but Benjamin Franklin had
  17. 1:02the foresight enough to realize that America was going to be like the persons that populated
  18. 1:10this country.
  19. 1:11Hi, Alex McFarland here.
  20. 1:13We got a great show today, fantastic show.
  21. 1:15I'm very honored to be sitting in on the Hamilton Corner.
  22. 1:19But Benjamin Franklin wrote a little pamphlet and circulated it throughout Europe.
  23. 1:25And he ought to read from it, and then we're going to bring up a very special guest, a
  24. 1:29colleague.
  25. 1:30Benjamin Franklin was in France, and he didn't want America to get corrupted with atheist.
  26. 1:37So he writes this pamphlet, called, quote, information to those who would remove to America.
  27. 1:45And here's what it said.
  28. 1:46He said, bad examples to youth are rare in America, which must be a comfortable consideration
  29. 1:53to parents.
  30. 1:55This may be truly added that in America serious religion under its various denominations is
  31. 2:01not only tolerated but encouraged and practiced.
  32. 2:05Atheism is unknown here in America.
  33. 2:08Infidelity is rare and secret so that persons may live to a great age in America without
  34. 2:14ever having their piety shocked by meeting with either an atheist or an infidel.
  35. 2:21Isn't that something?
  36. 2:22Now, he said serious religion is not only encouraged here, but practiced.
  37. 2:28And he meant Christianity.
  38. 2:30Today, with something like less than 50% of adults professing Christianity, we've fallen
  39. 2:37along ways.
  40. 2:39And we need a restoration of the gospel.
  41. 2:42We need a restoration of belief in the authority of Scripture.
  42. 2:45And to talk with us about that and to give some good news in a post-Christian America, a voice
  43. 2:52of encouragement in a post-Christian America.
  44. 2:56Long-time friend and colleague Carl Kirby.
  45. 2:58Carl is founder of Reasons for Hope.
  46. 3:02He and I have partnered on many, many ministry projects of the years, including numerous summer
  47. 3:09camps that we'll tell you about as well.
  48. 3:11But he's a busy man.
  49. 3:13He's with us now and we're very grateful.
  50. 3:15My friend, champion of the gospel, Carl Kirby, welcome to the American Family Radio Network.
  51. 3:22Dr. Alex, you already blessing to let me be with you.
  52. 3:26Well it's good to have you.
  53. 3:27So Benjamin Franklin, 250 years ago, he circulates this document, says information to those that
  54. 3:35would remove and come to America.
  55. 3:37He's basically saying, hey look, we encourage belief in God here and you know it's a good
  56. 3:45moral place. So if you're coming to America, you know, if you don't like
  57. 3:50Christianity, you might want to think about not coming. Stay over in Peggen
  58. 3:54France or Europe. What do you think Benjamin Franklin would say if he hit the
  59. 4:00streets of America in 2026? Oh, he wouldn't even begin to recognize that I
  60. 4:07worked for the federal government for over 24 and a half years and I can't
  61. 4:10tell you how many times I was struggling to be fired for proselytizing. And I mean
  62. 4:14nothing more than somebody asked me a question and I would answer it. And remember one time,
  63. 4:18it came to a head, my supervisor pulled me out on the back, you know, away from everybody,
  64. 4:22started chewing me up and down and how he was going to do this and how he was going to do that and
  65. 4:26all this sort of a thing. And I finally just looked at him and I said, look, Don, let me put it to you
  66. 4:29like this. If God wants me here, there's not a thing you can do to get me out. And if he does want
  67. 4:34me here, there's not a thing I can do to stay. So you got to do what you got to do. And I'm going to do
  68. 4:38what I got to do. Hope you have a great day and walked out on him. And I mean, that was just the federal
  69. 4:43government and a quote unquote Christian nation, yes, we have fallen very far. I remember watching
  70. 4:48a movie a long time ago, you might remember the exact title, Time Changer, something like that.
  71. 4:54Yeah, I just remember watching that and the individual that just went back not even hundreds
  72. 4:58of years. If I remember correctly, there was only maybe 50, 75 years, something like that.
  73. 5:03But how much he was appalled at how far we had fallen in such a short amount of time.
  74. 5:08Yeah.
  75. 5:09Do you know, Carl, when I was in school, Pleasant Garden Elementary School, I talk about it a
  76. 5:13lot.
  77. 5:14It's just this lovely little part of North Carolina.
  78. 5:18My family's been there a long, long time.
  79. 5:20Pleasant Garden.
  80. 5:22Every day we would line up to go to lunch.
  81. 5:24And this went up to sixth grade.
  82. 5:26When I got to middle school, seventh grade, it didn't happen.
  83. 5:29But up through sixth grade, first of all, every morning we would say the Pledge of Allegiance
  84. 5:36to the flag.
  85. 5:37I mean, I remember Miss Finch, Miss Satterfield, Miss Ray, Miss Hayes, those were my teachers.
  86. 5:47We would line up to walk to the cafeteria and she would say, who would like to say the blessing
  87. 5:52today?
  88. 5:54And this is a public school and the kids were like me, me, pick me, pick me.
  89. 6:01And everybody wanted to say the blessing.
  90. 6:03And it might just be, thank you God for the food.
  91. 6:07And we'd walk to the cafeteria.
  92. 6:09And listen, there were no lawsuits.
  93. 6:13There was no weapons on campus.
  94. 6:16I had never heard of the words like pot or meth or anything.
  95. 6:21And I don't know, Carl, I think about it.
  96. 6:24Back when publicly and privately we acknowledged God, was it a better America, Carl?
  97. 6:32Is it a safer America back then?
  98. 6:35Well, there's no doubt about that.
  99. 6:37I mean, there's a really interesting book
  100. 6:38that I read a long time ago,
  101. 6:39America to Prayer not to pray by David Barton.
  102. 6:41And I think he did some phenomenal research
  103. 6:43and he shows the impact that what has happened
  104. 6:46in America since prayer, public prayer,
  105. 6:48was removed out of the school system.
  106. 6:49And he shows every statistic.
  107. 6:51And it's unbelievable the immediate
  108. 6:55and dramatic hockey stick increase
  109. 6:58in every bad thing that you can think of.
  110. 7:00And there was one that really decreased.
  111. 7:02And that was the number of people that were passing the school.
  112. 7:05So it just immediate decrease.
  113. 7:08Now people would say, so Carl, you're saying,
  114. 7:09take it a 22 generic word prayer out of schools
  115. 7:12is what caused all this?
  116. 7:13No, I'm saying that a generation that was born in a country
  117. 7:19that was founded on biblical principles by Christians.
  118. 7:22I mean, go read the Mayflower Compact.
  119. 7:25When we said, God, no thank you, we can take over from here.
  120. 7:28He gave us what we asked for the same way
  121. 7:30that he did the Israelites.
  122. 7:31and we've seen what's happened.
  123. 7:32We rejected him and he's let us have what it is
  124. 7:36that we've asked for as a nation, not as individuals,
  125. 7:39because Christians are still here, we're still firm,
  126. 7:41we're still bold, and I think that we need to keep doing that.
  127. 7:44We keep speaking the truth and love,
  128. 7:46and we'd be a light that's shining in the darkness.
  129. 7:48You know, a couple hours ago, I had the great privilege.
  130. 7:51I was on another AFR show with Erwin Lutzer,
  131. 7:55the former pastor of the church in Chicago.
  132. 7:57Love him, love him.
  133. 7:58Oh yeah, he's phenomenal.
  134. 8:00And he has got a brand new book out called Marx and Moody.
  135. 8:05Now, Karl Marx, his life overlap with DL Moody
  136. 8:09by about 46 years.
  137. 8:12And anyway, Marx, which is a very influential philosopher
  138. 8:17about economics, and he was an atheist,
  139. 8:20and he knew and he told some of his generals,
  140. 8:23Karl Marx said, the thing that's gonna prevent us
  141. 8:27from succeeding in America is the church.
  142. 8:30But here's the thing, Karl Marx was heavily, heavily, heavily
  143. 8:34influenced, as you know, and I'm going to ask you to comment.
  144. 8:38Karl Marx was influenced by an author named Charles Darwin.
  145. 8:46Now, Karl, is it accurate to say so much of what we
  146. 8:52say all around us, the abortion rate,
  147. 8:57the belief that we can transition to a different gender, homosexuality, the idea that economies
  148. 9:05evolve, religious beliefs are not given from God to man, but religion evolve.
  149. 9:11Could it be that so much about what we see all around us and really so much of what's
  150. 9:16wrong with the world is due to the influence of the late infamous Charles Darwin?
  151. 9:23Well, there's no doubt that that is a belief system that has impacted this world beyond
  152. 9:29anything that I think anybody could have imagined because ultimately it became a battle between
  153. 9:34in the beginning God versus in the beginning nothing.
  154. 9:37And if science quote unquote is correct in their teaching that in the beginning nothing
  155. 9:41turned into something to turn into everything that we see, then that absolutely impacts human
  156. 9:46value.
  157. 9:47And we have seen that over and over again, human morality, because you cannot justify Christian
  158. 9:52morality apart from Christian God. I use this quite a bit when I'm doing my talks, especially
  159. 9:57with younger generation, because it's like, well, he's a good person. He's a good person.
  160. 10:00He doesn't believe in God. So you don't have to believe in God to have good morals. Well,
  161. 10:04here's the problem. You need a law giver to be able to enforce the laws that were given.
  162. 10:11Where do the laws come from if they are just chemical complexes that take place inside
  163. 10:15of our heads? Well, what makes my chemical reactions different and better than yours? Everybody's
  164. 10:21got their own chemicals so everybody gets their own laws? No, we know there's an
  165. 10:25ultimate right and wrong. Even the atheists know there's a right and wrong and
  166. 10:30there's good and there's bad but they can't justify the Christian morality apart
  167. 10:36from the Christian God and I think many times we have to challenge them to say
  168. 10:39look if this is true in the beginning nothing turned into something it's all
  169. 10:43just random chance process is given enough time right circumstances that
  170. 10:46destroys everything because ultimately everybody's going to have their freedom
  171. 10:52to do what they think is right and that leads to nothing but death and suffering.
  172. 10:57Did Darwin himself ask regarding his theory and regarding you know anyone's
  173. 11:04worldview? Did Darwin say something like you know why should we trust convictions
  174. 11:09in the mind of a monkey? I cannot say for certainty I've never heard that quote so
  175. 11:17I would not want to, I would not go on a record and say that, yeah, that's an accurate quote.
  176. 11:21I don't know.
  177. 11:22I know some people have claimed that he rejected his atheism at the end of his life and that's
  178. 11:28been proven to not be true.
  179. 11:30So forgive me.
  180. 11:32I am so glad you mentioned that.
  181. 11:33I was going to ask you this.
  182. 11:35I promise because here's the thing.
  183. 11:37Every weekend I'm on the road hundreds of times people come up to me well-meaning Christians,
  184. 11:43but I don't think this is accurate.
  185. 11:45People say, well, you know, Alex, on his deathbed, Charles Darwin became a Christian.
  186. 11:50I don't think there's any evidence for that.
  187. 11:52Would you speak to that, please, Paul?
  188. 11:54Yeah, yeah.
  189. 11:55It's called the Lady Hope Theory, and there was supposedly a lady that was with him that
  190. 11:58took notes and he rejected, you know, his past beliefs and received Christ as a savior.
  191. 12:05But there was nothing, nothing, no documentation that was supported in the least.
  192. 12:09I think it was a story made up by probably some well-intentioned people, but it's not
  193. 12:14accurate and that's not true so we shouldn't use it.
  194. 12:17Amen, amen.
  195. 12:19And even if that were true that Darwin had a deathbed conversion
  196. 12:24which I don't think is true and I don't think
  197. 12:26there's any credible evidence to that,
  198. 12:29that would not nullify evolution
  199. 12:33nor would it affirm creation.
  200. 12:36Yeah.
  201. 12:37No, I can't.
  202. 12:38No, I mean, I think, I reject Darwinian evolution.
  203. 12:41I do not believe in Darwinian evolution whatsoever,
  204. 12:45but it's not verified or falsified based
  205. 12:50on an anecdotal story about a deathbed conversion.
  206. 12:53Absolutely.
  207. 12:54I think we can just look at the world around us
  208. 12:56and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there's a creator.
  209. 13:00I mean, even, I'll never forget watching this one video.
  210. 13:03It's a documentary where they're doing autops.
  211. 13:06He's on giant animals, elephants and whales
  212. 13:09and this sort of thing.
  213. 13:10love that. And they were talking about the physiology. It was
  214. 13:14actually Richard Dawkins was one of the guys, but I forget the
  215. 13:17name of the scientists that was talking about the just the
  216. 13:21genetics or not the genetic but the physical anatomical structure
  217. 13:24of the giraffe. And he's talking about how would they run that
  218. 13:28it's a piston and their their legs come together force a
  219. 13:31air out and all this sort of thing amazing. And he goes amazing
  220. 13:34design evolved. And I mean, so even the atheist can see design
  221. 13:40Richard Dawkins all the time talks about the appearance of design.
  222. 13:43Why do they use those terms?
  223. 13:44Because I don't care where you look in our world around us.
  224. 13:47Anything that God made, the clothes you get to it,
  225. 13:49you use an electron microscope, you use a telescope,
  226. 13:51the more amazing it is.
  227. 13:53You look at anything that man made,
  228. 13:54it's junk the closer you get to it.
  229. 13:57So we see design everywhere, design requires designer,
  230. 14:00his name is Jesus.
  231. 14:01And he told us what he did, how he did, when he did, and why he did.
  232. 14:04Amen.
  233. 14:05The voice you're hearing is that of Carl Kirby,
  234. 14:07long time friend and colleague.
  235. 14:09Hey, every summer we have kids come to our biblical worldview camps and Carl and I have
  236. 14:16partnered on these for many years.
  237. 14:17It's called Unshaken because we believe the Christian faith is the firm foundation.
  238. 14:23Hey Carl, we've got a break.
  239. 14:25We're going to come back.
  240. 14:26Give the website of the camps because look, summer of 2027 is coming.
  241. 14:30What's the website for our summer camps, Carl?
  242. 14:35and it'll take you right to it. Give you all the dates and everything.
  243. 14:42Unshaken camp dot com. Alex McFarlane here of Carl Kirby. This is the American Family
  244. 14:47Radio Network and I'm very honored to be sitting in on the Hamilton Corner for Abe Hamilton.
  245. 14:51Stay tuned more after this brief break.

  255. 15:34Shiting lightning to the darkness,
  256. 15:37this is the Hamilton Corner, an American Family Radio.
  257. 15:41Welcome back to the program, Alex McFarland here.
  258. 15:44What did you always to speak with Carl Kirby of reasons for hope?
  259. 15:49I mentioned just before the commercial break that we've got our summer camps and
  260. 15:53let me just say regarding getting teenagers, you know, we do the fun camp stuff.
  261. 16:00We go hiking, you know, we play volleyball, depending on the camp, like the Montana camp, where we go, has horseback riding, and then there are many other places.
  262. 16:09but we do something that's different, I believe,
  263. 16:12and I've been a youth pastor since 89, okay?
  264. 16:16But we get into the Bible, we explain the gospel.
  265. 16:20Every summer we have dozens of kids come to faith in Jesus
  266. 16:24and they're saved, they believe in the Lord Jesus,
  267. 16:27but we get into apologetics.
  268. 16:30And we talk about, you know, part of the reason we call it
  269. 16:32unshaken is because, you know, when kids go to college,
  270. 16:36they're gonna get blindsided by Darwinian Evelyn
  271. 16:39evolution, methodological, naturalism, critical theory, so many things.
  272. 16:44Carl Kirby, how receptive in your experience are young people to drill down deeply and
  273. 16:52to know God personally, to know the Scriptures, to be able to defend the Christian faith?
  274. 17:00Do kids respond to this?
  275. 17:04Alex, adults don't believe us when we tell them.
  276. 17:06I mean, I literally have video of where the kids
  277. 17:10are outside playing on one of their breaks.
  278. 17:12And then we didn't even have to announce
  279. 17:14that the sessions are getting started.
  280. 17:16Some of the kids looked at their wide side,
  281. 17:17hey, it's time for the next session.
  282. 17:19And literally started running in.
  283. 17:21We didn't even have to announce it.
  284. 17:2317 teaching sessions over five days
  285. 17:25of remandatory plus the voluntary ones,
  286. 17:27which we never get less than 50% of the kids to come back to.
  287. 17:30I'll never forget a parent telling me one time.
  288. 17:33What are you guys gonna talk about?
  289. 17:34I told them and she was like,
  290. 17:35oh please, please don't do that.
  291. 17:37I said, what do you mean?
  292. 17:38My daughter's gonna be calling me on Tuesday
  293. 17:40wanting to come home.
  294. 17:41I said, we've never had that.
  295. 17:42Well, we've never had that.
  296. 17:44Matter of fact, we have the testimonies at the end
  297. 17:46of the week where the kids are literally crying
  298. 17:49because they gotta go home and they don't wanna go home.
  299. 17:51They want me to continue on.
  300. 17:53Oh yeah, I mean, generally we have like check-in
  301. 17:55on Sunday or Monday and we go up to Friday.
  302. 17:58Hey, on Friday at lunchtime when it's time to pack up
  303. 18:01and get back on the buses.
  304. 18:04Listen, the kids are like wiping tears away going,
  305. 18:07I wish we had another week.
  306. 18:08Can we stay one more week?
  307. 18:10Isn't that awesome?
  308. 18:12It is.
  309. 18:13And one thing that we're adding this year, Alex,
  310. 18:14who I'd love people to know about,
  311. 18:15is we're adding a discipleship component.
  312. 18:17Because here's the goal in three areas.
  313. 18:20It's gonna be media, it's gonna be ministry,
  314. 18:22and it's gonna be worship.
  315. 18:24All of our speakers, including Mr. Alex here,
  316. 18:26we're gonna have a special session set aside,
  317. 18:28a couple sessions where we are pouring into
  318. 18:31whoever wants to go into whichever area.
  319. 18:33So you got somebody that wants to be a speaker.
  320. 18:35Come on, you're gonna be with Alex, myself,
  321. 18:37Juan, we're gonna listen to your talk,
  322. 18:39we're gonna give you feedback,
  323. 18:40I'm gonna help you make your presentation even better,
  324. 18:42then you're gonna do that presentation for the whole group.
  325. 18:45We're gonna help people in worship
  326. 18:47because the goal is when you leave,
  327. 18:49when that young person goes back to church,
  328. 18:50they're gonna be able to plug into an existing ministry
  329. 18:52or start a new one with mom, dads,
  330. 18:54and they have pastors approval.
  331. 18:56Do you know what, Carl,
  332. 18:57when I worked for Dr. James Dobbs
  333. 18:59focus on the family. It was such a blessing. But I was one of only two or three people
  334. 19:04that was an approved media speaker. I went on the BBC, I went on Fox News, CNN, C-SPAN.
  335. 19:12I went through a lot of training. And there was a Christian group out of California that
  336. 19:19did the media training. In fact, they had done media training for Pepsi, they had done media
  337. 19:25training for national figures. And Dr. Dobson, two or three times a year, would bring in these
  338. 19:32media training people. And it was just a blessing from God that I got authorized to speak on
  339. 19:39behalf of Dr. Dobson and focus on the family. Here's my point. The very same public speaking
  340. 19:47that I was taught that I've also taught at places like Liberty University, I teach at
  341. 19:53the camps for the kids that feel like they might go into the ministry and I think about
  342. 19:58last Florida, Carl, you and I were in Florida with one of our camps from Frank Figueroa was
  343. 20:04there who's absolutely one of my favorite speakers, Dr. Juan Valdez. I was doing the
  344. 20:10technical word is really homiletics which is teaching people how to preach and teach
  345. 20:16the scriptures but these kids they were like Mr. Alex, will you teach me how to preach?
  346. 20:22because someday I might be a preacher.
  347. 20:23And my point is we love it,
  348. 20:26and these young people are so receptive.
  349. 20:28So grownups, friends, Romans, countrymen,
  350. 20:33now is the time to pray about summer of 27
  351. 20:37because we are seeing God raise up an unshaken generation
  352. 20:43and you and I and your youth group,
  353. 20:45your teens can be a part of it.
  354. 20:46Carl, give us that website
  355. 20:48and what are some of the localities and dates, please?
  356. 20:52Yes, Unshaken Camp Singular.com.
  357. 20:56And I'm going to read these because I don't want to mess them up.
  358. 20:58We're in North Carolina twice, 8 in North Carolina, July 18 to 23rd, then Brevard the next week,
  359. 21:04the 25th through the 30th.
  360. 21:05We're in Icoaca, Montana, June 6 to 11th.
  361. 21:09And then Steven's, Pennsylvania, August 22 to 27th.
  362. 21:13And those dates and everything are on the Unshaken Camp.com website.
  363. 21:18And we are looking to do more.
  364. 21:20So if you have a camp in your area that wants to work with us, get them in touch with us
  365. 21:24because we're looking for other areas.
  366. 21:27We want to be very strategic on where we do these and we want to impact the generation.
  367. 21:32Amen.
  368. 21:33You know, I was just on the phone a few days ago, Jim and Kim Pardee that have run the camp
  369. 21:40in E.K.
  370. 21:41Welcome, Montana.
  371. 21:42Trails in, Christian Ranch.
  372. 21:43They've given their life to build this camp.
  373. 21:45They're fantastic people.
  374. 21:47He called me up and he said, the most requested camp is you guys in your biblical world, you
  375. 21:53camp.
  376. 21:54He said, we had a waiting list and oh my goodness, Montana, besides God's beautiful creation and
  377. 22:01the scenery, we have seen so many lives impacted.
  378. 22:06And you know, listen to this, Carl, last summer we were in Pennsylvania.
  379. 22:12And is that the one that's called refreshing mountain Christian camp?
  380. 22:15Yes.
  381. 22:16Amazing.
  382. 22:17Yes.
  383. 22:18A young lady comes up to me, she goes, Mr. McFarland, we love your teaching.
  384. 22:24She said, I came to the Lord about five summers ago.
  385. 22:27I've grown every summer I'm back.
  386. 22:30She said, I just finished a philosophy degree at New Jersey State because they're from the
  387. 22:34New York, New Jersey area.
  388. 22:35I said, okay, praise God.
  389. 22:38She said, your teaching helped me thrive even though I was in a very secular program.
  390. 22:44She said, now I'm in law school this fall, fall of 26.
  391. 22:49At your urging, Mr. McFarland, I'm going to become a constitutional lawyer.
  392. 22:53I'm going to defend America from Sharia law.
  393. 22:57Now here's my point.
  394. 22:58Carl, in evangelizing, discipling, equipping, encouraging, launching, for these young lives
  395. 23:07in the making, we've got to be in this for the long haul.
  396. 23:11Agreed.
  397. 23:12Amen.
  398. 23:13young lady you're talking about, she's actually helping lead worship next year, she and her sister.
  399. 23:18So it is amazing to see how the impact is continuing to grow.
  400. 23:24It's not just one and done.
  401. 23:25I mean, because we've been there a number of years now, so we have young people that have been there as campers, multiple years,
  402. 23:31and now they're coming back as counselors.
  403. 23:33And we are seeing discipleship happening, we are seeing lives being transformed and changed.
  404. 23:38your teaching has had a huge impact on a lot of people.
  405. 23:41And we are praising God that we get the privilege
  406. 23:44of doing what we do.
  407. 23:45So I would ask people for prayers.
  408. 23:47I really would.
  409. 23:48I'd ask you to consider supporting us in these things
  410. 23:50because we need it.
  411. 23:52This generation needs us to pour into them
  412. 23:55and we're willing to run with it.
  413. 23:56So get behind us.
  414. 23:58Well, and if you want to scholarship a young person,
  415. 24:01and I want to say this in 28 years, I give God the glory,
  416. 24:05I did camps for a lot of years, just our ministry, Truth for a New Generation.
  417. 24:11Then Carl and I, we've been friends for many years and I just, my love and respect for you
  418. 24:16and your family is beyond words, Carl.
  419. 24:19But here's the thing, folks.
  420. 24:20We have never, ever turned away a young person.
  421. 24:23Never.
  422. 24:24That's right.
  423. 24:25Everybody comes.
  424. 24:26Cost money, of course.
  425. 24:28But if you want a scholarship, a young person, you can send money either to Reasons for Hope
  426. 24:34or you can send it to Alex MacFarlane Ministries, we have a line item that is just camp money.
  427. 24:40And here's the thing, whether it's $20 or whatever, I mean, I think what do we charge
  428. 24:47young people?
  429. 24:48Isn't it like about $400 or something like that?
  430. 24:50We have been at $3.95 forever.
  431. 24:53There's conversation, do we have to raise it next year?
  432. 24:56We're praying that we can get the support and that we don't have to.
  433. 24:58But we're at $3.95.
  434. 25:00Our costs, just to throw it out there, Alex.
  435. 25:02Our minimum cost is $550 to $600 at any one of the camps that we go to.
  436. 25:07So that's how much we have to subsidize for these young people.
  437. 25:10People say, raise the price.
  438. 25:11Then we have all these young people tell us, I can't come.
  439. 25:14And I would much rather get these young folks there and get folks to support us in doing it.
  440. 25:20Well, and let me say there's a very well-known Christian camp in America.
  441. 25:25God bless them.
  442. 25:27But their cost is about $2,800.
  443. 25:31Now, we would never do that because God's allowed us to reach and equip a lot of kids.
  444. 25:39For example, you mentioned Brevard.
  445. 25:42Last summer, it was fantastic.
  446. 25:44This western North Carolina, kind of up in Billy Graham country, many of these kids had
  447. 25:50never been out of the inner city.
  448. 25:52Some of it had never ever seen mountains.
  449. 25:56And they were just amazed.
  450. 25:57They were in the mountains.
  451. 25:59And they get out there in God's creation and we're teaching, we're just with them in God's
  452. 26:05Word, and they can hear the still small voice.
  453. 26:09And so as you help us, we're not going to be that camp that charges $2,800, $2,800 because
  454. 26:18we are seeing God reach the least and the lost and they're becoming mighty, mighty champions
  455. 26:27for the gospel.
  456. 26:28We got to pull away right now.
  457. 26:30Your website, your travel schedule,
  458. 26:32how can people find you online?
  459. 26:35R-F-O-R-H.com is the website and our app,
  460. 26:41which is the best tool I can put in their hand free of charge,
  461. 26:43is R-F-O-R-H.
  462. 26:45Just search for that in your app store.
  463. 26:47Yes. And by the way, Tim Wom and the president of American Family,
  464. 26:52I was on his radio show a month ago,
  465. 26:55kind of doing a recap of summer 26.
  466. 26:58and he said to me on national radio, he said,
  467. 27:01Alex, when you get these dates, you have my blessing,
  468. 27:05you promote, promote, promote,
  469. 27:07because we want to fill up these camps
  470. 27:09with American teenagers, Carl Kirby, blessings.
  471. 27:12We got to change gears, man.
  472. 27:13Be safe, be bold, and we'll see you soon.
  473. 27:17God bless you.
  474. 27:18God bless.
  475. 27:19This is the Hamilton Corner with Alex McFarland.
  476. 27:21We're going to sort of transition in just a moment.
  477. 27:24Another colleague also doing vital work,
  478. 27:28and that's evangelizing Muslims.
  479. 27:30His name is Kamal Saleem.
  480. 27:32Now we've been friends over 22, 23 years.
  481. 27:36He was recently a keynote speaker for us
  482. 27:39in our conversations that matter.
  483. 27:42I don't think ever we've had as much feedback
  484. 27:46asking for part two of this event.
  485. 27:48His name is Kamal Saleem.
  486. 27:50He is a follower of Christ, a mighty man of God,
  487. 27:53one of my closest friends.
  488. 27:55Welcome to the American Family Radio Network,
  489. 27:57Mr. Kamal Saleem.
  490. 28:00Thank you, brother Alex.
  491. 28:01Thank you for what you do
  492. 28:04and for advancing the kingdom of God
  493. 28:06and for being speaking the truth, the whole truth
  494. 28:09and nothing but the truth.
  495. 28:11Thank you for what you do.
  496. 28:12Well, thank you, my dear brother.
  497. 28:14I've got some exciting news to announce in a moment,
  498. 28:18but first I want you to introduce yourself.
  499. 28:22Who is Kamal Saleem?
  500. 28:24Coom Ministries, tell us about yourself dear brother.
  501. 28:28Well, we have a ministry called Coom Ministry,
  502. 28:31which is a rise, which is after the risen Christ.
  503. 28:37And our job is to educate and teach the churches,
  504. 28:42colleges, conferences, seminars,
  505. 28:46all over including media.
  506. 28:48And my past life dictated what I do
  507. 28:53what I do today. I was born in Beirut, Lebanon, the Muslim Sunday family, was a child soldier at
  508. 29:01seven years old. I went several missions to Israel and the Civil War in the Middle East and then came
  509. 29:07to the United States of America to do still jihad, which is conquer America from within.
  510. 29:14And I was conquered by the god of this nation, Jehovah, God Almighty, and then in the process I
  511. 29:23met three Christian men that they took care of me after the car wreck and I had an encounter
  512. 29:29with Jesus Christ and I gave my life to him and he called me to arise, Qum, and I had a
  513. 29:38broken neck, collarbone, ribs, you know, I was devastated and when I rose up I was
  514. 29:43totally healed. My heart was reformed and my mind was rewired and I knew only a true living
  515. 29:51God can do this and I gave my life to the living God and his son Jesus Christ and today I'm
  516. 29:59a full of Christ and the president of the cool ministries.
  517. 30:02Amen.
  518. 30:03Amen.
  519. 30:04Folks, I want you to be familiar with Kamal Saleem.
  520. 30:08Pray for him as he literally travels the world on behalf of the gospel.
  521. 30:13So you and I were together October 3rd and you were the keynote speaker in one of our,
  522. 30:19We do a lot of events called conversations that matter.
  523. 30:24And I have to say with all my heart, in the last 20 plus years, we've done 51 citywide events
  524. 30:31where we get Christians, churches.
  525. 30:34We have great speakers, yourself included.
  526. 30:37Abraham Hamilton III, Jenna Ellis, James Dobbson, a lot, a lot, a lot of great speakers.
  527. 30:45We've never had such glowing feedback, Kamal, everybody, yourself, and then also Muhammad
  528. 30:51Faridhi was there.
  529. 30:54I just want to first of all thank you that night, the Spirit of God worked through you.
  530. 31:02We've just gotten volumes of feedback.
  531. 31:06And basically everybody says, bring this man back, we want more.
  532. 31:11So thank you, sir.
  533. 31:12to God be the glory.
  534. 31:15So you're on the road speaking and let me just say this folks, if you, your church, you
  535. 31:22want to learn how to share Jesus with the Muslims that are now all around, our neighbors, our
  536. 31:29coworkers, they're, the Muslims have come to America, they need Christ.
  537. 31:33Kamal Saleem will teach your people how to evangelize Muslims.
  538. 31:38We have a brief break.
  539. 31:39Before we go in this first break, what is your website?
  540. 31:43My website is Qum Ministries.
  541. 31:47That is K-O-O-M-E next door at Ministriesboro.com.
  542. 31:55Qum Ministries, Ministries I-E-S, Qum Ministries.com.
  543. 32:00We're going to talk about how to share Jesus with Muslims, with Kamal Salim.
  544. 32:05After this brief break on the American Family Radio Network, please stay tuned.
  545. 32:09Well, Fred, it is today, it's three weeks away from the midterm election and a lot of talk
  546. 32:41about how this is going to go for Republicans especially, probably going to maybe lose the
  547. 32:46House and the Senate.
  548. 32:49There is always talk at election time that Christians should stay out of the political
  549. 32:54process, just be spiritual and win-lossals, all of that is important.
  550. 33:00What would you say to people who are wondering whether they should go out, get registered
  551. 33:04if there's still time and a vote in three weeks?
  552. 33:07Well, political issues are Christian issues when we talk about things like abortion.
  553. 33:13When we talk about men who say there are women and want to go into women's restrooms and play
  554. 33:19in women's sports.
  555. 33:21I mean, that's not just a political issue.
  556. 33:23It is a Christian issue.
  557. 33:26And I've been reading some interesting articles in Decision Magazine, Franklin Graham talking
  558. 33:33about this, a gentleman from the Colson Center.
  559. 33:38Socialism is a Christian issue.
  560. 33:41Socialism is about making man God.
  561. 33:44You know, the system that America has made America success is obedience to God's Word.
  562. 33:52And yes, there are problem areas.
  563. 33:54But there is a huge difference and it is a spiritual issue because when socialism comes
  564. 34:00in, it's man-celebrating man, man becomes God, man oversees everything.
  565. 34:07And I'll tell you what, we just have to look at other countries that have tried socialism.
  566. 34:12They basically want to chase Christianity at the end of the scene.
  567. 34:17That's right because it's a competing ideology.
  568. 34:21I heard Dr. Ray Prichard say that yes, we all understand as Christians that government
  569. 34:26can't save our nation, but it sure can't hurt our nation and can do a lot to damage the
  570. 34:32church and to become an obstacle to the preaching of the gospel, which of course is the most
  571. 34:38important.
  572. 34:39But Jesus says to be salt and light and I think it's fair to say that voting and standing
  573. 34:44up for biblical values is at least part of that in a country where you're free to vote.
  574. 34:49And we will be covering here at American Family Radio Election Night.
  575. 34:53On November 3rd, you'll be able to tune in to American Family Radio, and we'll have staff
  576. 34:59from AFR, from our news team, and special guests talking about the election, and what
  577. 35:04those results mean for the next two years as we prepare for a presidential election in
  578. 35:102028.
  579. 35:11The Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Commentaries are available at afr.net.
  580. 35:26to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  581. 35:31Welcome back to the program, Alex McFarland.
  582. 35:33Here, AlexMcFarland.com.
  583. 35:36I've got a lot on the road this fall.
  584. 35:39I'm speaking for Child Evangelism Fellowship.
  585. 35:42I'm speaking in Florida.
  586. 35:44Coming soon to a town near you, perhaps.
  587. 35:47And I've got some articles I've written that have been
  588. 35:50published on townhall.com and the Wall Street Journal
  589. 35:54and elsewhere. If you go to my website, which is AlexMcFarlane.com, please check out what
  590. 36:01we're doing. Keeps in prayer. The website of my very special colleague and guest, Kamal Salim.
  591. 36:08It's Qum Ministries, K-O-O-M-E, Qum Ministries with an I-E-S.com. Kamal, you do a lot of speaking
  592. 36:21all of the world really. What's your passion topic when somebody says you have the microphone?
  593. 36:29What's your favorite topic to teach on?
  594. 36:33Well, our heart desire is to really evangelize the Muslim and teach the church how to reach
  595. 36:39the Muslims. And also, we also talk about the radical remnant, which is the ugly truth,
  596. 36:47as we talk about the beautiful truth,
  597. 36:49and that is what is the Islamist agenda
  598. 36:53to United States, for America and the Western Hemisphere,
  599. 36:57and how they are able to infiltrate and conquer
  600. 37:01and their latest strategy and how they're doing it.
  601. 37:05But nevertheless, we love the Muslims,
  602. 37:07my family are Muslim and I love them,
  603. 37:09and we want to save the Muslims.
  604. 37:13What's the difference between the God of Christianity
  605. 37:17and the God of Islam.
  606. 37:20The difference between the two is one of them is a God,
  607. 37:25who said that he want only slaves,
  608. 37:31and he could not have a family.
  609. 37:33And the only the highest rank in his kingdom
  610. 37:36is to kill and be killed.
  611. 37:38And that is the God of Islam, is Allah.
  612. 37:42And the other God is Jehovah God Almighty.
  613. 37:46He is God of, you know, from the beginning to the end of our humanity through history,
  614. 37:52the Word of God has been spoken by him to humanity.
  615. 37:56And now he is, has been wanting a family, sons and daughters,
  616. 38:03and the difference between this God and the other God,
  617. 38:07one God wants you to die for him and the other God died for us.
  618. 38:12So I choose the living God, the one who is rose again in glory and power and he died for
  619. 38:20me.
  620. 38:21And that's the true living God.
  621. 38:23Come on, this morning I spoke at a men's breakfast, it was great.
  622. 38:27And there were some college students there and a young man, a wonderful Christian young
  623. 38:32man, he said that his college roommate was a Muslim and the Muslim roommate said Jesus
  624. 38:39didn't really die on the cross, that the story of Christ dying on the cross is not really
  625. 38:46historically true.
  626. 38:49First of all, do Muslims really believe that?
  627. 38:51And if so, how do we respond to that?
  628. 38:55Yes, so in the Muslim world, they don't believe that Jesus Christ is crucified.
  629. 39:01Thus, it nullifies his sonship and his resurrection power and what he rose for.
  630. 39:07where his blood become a covenant for our life. So thus, you know, Islam become the
  631. 39:14antichrist, you know, and so, but the Muslim by their, by their self, they have no evidence
  632. 39:21of this. This is a hearsay because the Bible state that in an Old Testament and a New Testament,
  633. 39:27Isaiah 53, it describes everything about what happened to Jesus Christ and in a New Testament
  634. 39:33how Jesus Christ fulfilled Isaiah 53 and many other prophecy. He is the fulfillment of prophecy
  635. 39:41while Islam is written by one man, the entire Islamic religion is given to a one man, his name is Muhammad
  636. 39:51and he is written all by himself and it was so confusing and it was not written until 60 years
  637. 39:58after his death by his third caliph and thus they don't know which is the beginning which is the end
  638. 40:04so they wrote them from smallest to the greatest and Islam has not been verified historically whether
  639. 40:11it has miracles whether it has a god who interacted with humanity except with the sword and that is
  640. 40:20demanding from people their life either become Muslim or die. I've got a book that you wrote
  641. 40:27called The Blood of Lambs that has your amazing miracle story. What are the books have you
  642. 40:34written, Kamal?
  643. 40:36I have written three books so far. The first one is The Blood of Lambs. That's my autobiography.
  644. 40:43And it tells you about the infiltration of the United States of America and the God of
  645. 40:47this nation that is protecting this nation. The second book I wrote with General Jerry
  646. 40:52boykin who is one of the founder of Delta Force and it's a novel, it's based on
  647. 40:58truth and it's called the coalition and we wrote it together based on truth
  648. 41:03and our lives and the last one is Ishmael redeemed, called the Kingdom. How God is
  649. 41:10reaching the Muslim in the last days and appearing through Muslim where six
  650. 41:14million Muslim are converting to Jesus Christ every year and then not just
  651. 41:20But also how to reach a Muslim and it shows you where God said he will do this and we will see about
  652. 41:281 billion Muslim coming to Christ in the last days. Amen. Amen. So much I want to ask you before time fleets away
  653. 41:36I do want to ask you the you know days from now
  654. 41:40We have an election midterm elections and there are a record number of Muslims running for office
  655. 41:47from
  656. 41:49Washington down to local cities.
  657. 41:52What are your thoughts about this, Kamal and what is your challenge to American voters?
  658. 41:58Well, here's the thing.
  659. 42:01America has a lot to lose where we have Islamists who are sworn to destroy the Jews and Christians
  660. 42:08in their own Koran, in their word, commended by Allah.
  661. 42:14And what we see, you know, what's happening in the United States of America today, we
  662. 42:18We see in May 2009, on the 27th of May, the federal judge in Texas handed a judgment against
  663. 42:31a group of people called the Muslim Brotherhood in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
  664. 42:37They were indicted and many of them are sent to jails up to 60 years.
  665. 42:44We see that a lot of the politicians that they are running now from Abdul Al-Sayed in Michigan.
  666. 42:54We see also Zahram Mandani in New York, and then we see Ilhan Omar in Minnesota and many
  667. 43:02others.
  668. 43:03There are over 255 Muslims serving throughout the American government from the state, from
  669. 43:13the sedits from the house representative,
  670. 43:16all the way down to city councils,
  671. 43:18too over 255.
  672. 43:21And but what's so radical about this
  673. 43:23is the Muslim Brotherhood organization
  674. 43:26is sworn to destroy America and Israel.
  675. 43:30And now these people are funded by this organization
  676. 43:35and they are not funded, but founded by them as well.
  677. 43:39The Muslim Brotherhood put them up front
  678. 43:42And now we are facing this nightmare that they may become senators, and now they can
  679. 43:49fight this nation from within.
  680. 43:51Instead, bringing 9-11 to our nation, they can bring it from inside out, just like we
  681. 43:57see in Zohara Mandani, destroying New York from inside economically.
  682. 44:02It's just really hard to believe that New York City, where nearly 3,000 Americans died
  683. 44:08on September 11, 2001.
  684. 44:11And by the way, roughly 30 hours after 9-11, I was in the rubble of Ground Zero.
  685. 44:18I was a chaplain with the Billy Graham ministry.
  686. 44:21I was up there for two weeks.
  687. 44:24And look, the terrorist of 9-11, they did what they did in the name of Allah.
  688. 44:3225 years later that city that lost 3,000 citizens due to Islam, jihadism, that city now has a
  689. 44:42Muslim mayor. To me, Kamal, that is just painfully ironic. Yeah, the people need to watch your last
  690. 44:51conference that took place in North Carolina, if it's online, because this is a reveal for these
  691. 44:57people and how they doing it and what's their agenda to destroy America in the future.
  692. 45:03This election in November, November 3, about 62 to 82 percent of the conservative movement
  693. 45:12is voted by the boomers of the United States of America.
  694. 45:16We need the young men and women to really arise and step forward and take initiative in not
  695. 45:23not just helping this nation to survive, but defending this nation and future generation
  696. 45:29from being destroyed.
  697. 45:30Indeed.
  698. 45:31And you mentioned that video.
  699. 45:33It was called Conversations That Matter, a Christian response to Islam with Kamal Saleem,
  700. 45:39Muhammad Friti.
  701. 45:41Even as we speak, we're finishing up just putting some titles on it, little editing,
  702. 45:46not any editing as in cutting.
  703. 45:49We had to put an announcement slide, put some credits on the end.
  704. 45:54It's probably on YouTube for free, totally free, the teaching of Kamal Saleem and Muhammad
  705. 46:00for Reedy.
  706. 46:02Because as you said, we love these people and we want them to know Jesus, the Savior.
  707. 46:10And Kamal, one last question, I know time fleets away and I, there's so much I always
  708. 46:15want to ask you.
  709. 46:18The children of Ishmael, if they find Messiah, might it prompt a hunger in the children of
  710. 46:25Isaac?
  711. 46:28How the evangelization of the Arabic world could that put jealousy, a holy jealousy, in
  712. 46:37the heart of Isaac?
  713. 46:39Absolutely.
  714. 46:40That is a great question.
  715. 46:43So, blessed to have someone like you to speak, ask him to write questions.
  716. 46:50In my book, Ishmael Redeemed, called In a Kingdom, you can find it on our website and
  717. 46:55you can see that over there, how that will entreat the Jewish people to come to know Jesus
  718. 47:01Christ.
  719. 47:03So we are in a place and time today that God says, in the last days I will pour out my
  720. 47:08my spirit of all flesh, that old men, young men,
  721. 47:11old women, young women will have dreams and vision
  722. 47:16and they will prophesy.
  723. 47:18And so when we are looking at all this,
  724. 47:22we are seeing that this is happening right now
  725. 47:26with six million conversion,
  726. 47:28and that is by the senses, Islamic senses,
  727. 47:32every year 10 million in Iran alone.
  728. 47:35And so when people like me come to Jesus Christ,
  729. 47:40they fall in love with God of heaven and earth.
  730. 47:43The Jesus that I saw, he was a Jewish rabbi,
  731. 47:47he was not a Christian carrying the cross,
  732. 47:52he was a Jewish rabbi with the delete on his shoulders,
  733. 47:55with his holes in his hand and his feet.
  734. 47:58And he's bringing people like us to testify to the church first,
  735. 48:02that Jesus Christ is Lord, and then to go to their brother
  736. 48:07under the tent of Abraham and tell them the time has come.
  737. 48:12That Jesus Christ has called you home.
  738. 48:13When I went to Israel and they put me to speak to the kaboots,
  739. 48:18114 people came to Jesus Christ from the Jewish soldiers,
  740. 48:22just hearing my story about my incredible Jesus Christ.
  741. 48:27And they know my past that I was, I hated Jew.
  742. 48:31I went into mission against the Jews,
  743. 48:34but now I'm trying to save the Jews,
  744. 48:36and they believed in God of heaven and earth,
  745. 48:39and they testify that Jesus Christ is Lord.
  746. 48:42And the baptism we baptized Muslims over there,
  747. 48:46many of them are coming just to waiting for the invitation.
  748. 48:51But I want to say this clearly,
  749. 48:54if you wanna see America in the next five years,
  750. 48:57where America will be, look what's happening in Britain
  751. 49:00and friends and we can learn from that lesson.
  752. 49:03But if you have the Zamasi for Christ and for our belief,
  753. 49:08you need to really get this book, Ishmael Redim behind me
  754. 49:13from our website, coldministries.com,
  755. 49:16and learn how to reach the Muslims
  756. 49:19because they are waiting for invitation
  757. 49:21in our streets and throughout the world.
  758. 49:24You know, thank you, Kamal.
  759. 49:26And by the way, folks, first time we've ever publicly
  760. 49:29announce this. But a few days ago, Kamal and I talked about this, our board enthusiastically
  761. 49:36100% affirmed what I'm about to say. But in the fall of 27, we're going to have a national
  762. 49:43summit meeting on the evangelization of Muslims. And Kamal, since you and I talked a couple of
  763. 49:50days ago, we're talking about the venue, the auditorium, the budget, the promotion, you
  764. 49:57as one of the keynote speakers, but stay tuned folks.
  765. 50:03We're going to prayerfully,
  766. 50:04and we'll promote this like crazy,
  767. 50:07but we're gonna do a national conference
  768. 50:10on reaching the Muslim world for Jesus.
  769. 50:12And Kamal, I'm just so thrilled that you'll be a part of it.
  770. 50:16Thank you for the honor.
  771. 50:17Thank you for the honor.
  772. 50:18Alex, thank you for being a blessing to all of us
  773. 50:21and to the Kingdom of God.
  774. 50:23Well, you're a blessing.
  775. 50:24Thanks for being with us.
  776. 50:25We'll talk again soon, I'm sure.
  777. 50:27Keep Kamal in prayer. Again, his website, QumMinistries.com.
  778. 50:34Alex McFarland here, thanks for listening.
  779. 50:36And remember, your labor in the Lord is not in vain for Corinthians 1558.
  780. 50:42So speak up, stay bold, be strong, and let's bear fruit for the King of Kings and his kingdom.
  781. 50:49Blessings, see you soon.
