  10. 0:28and now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Welcome everybody to another edition of the Hamilton Corner
  12. 0:37and I'm guest hosting tonight for Abraham Hamilton
  13. 0:40the third ambition me W. Jackson's my pleasure
  14. 0:44to sit in the seat and talk to you tonight.
  15. 0:47And I do want to hear from you before the evening is over
  16. 0:49but we have a very special program plan.
  17. 0:52I want to talk to you about a couple of things
  18. 0:54and then I'm going to have as my guest
  19. 0:55in the second segment, Bunny Pounds.
  20. 0:57I'm sure all of you have heard of America,
  21. 0:59reads the Bible, well, Bunny Pounds is the visionary behind that, which had people from
  22. 1:06all over the nation, including the President of the United States reading the Bible.
  23. 1:13So we're going to talk a little bit about that, about how that vision came about, and
  24. 1:18that's in keeping with the theme for the program today, which is the spiritual condition of
  25. 1:22America because I think what Bunny did was absolutely tremendous and very much needed.
  26. 1:31You know we need prayer but you know we also need the Word of God because without the Word
  27. 1:37of God we don't even know how to pray.
  28. 1:40So we need the Word of God.
  29. 1:42The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 4 the Word is living and powerful and sharper than a two
  30. 1:48to its sword, cutting to the dividing of soul and spirit of joints and mow.
  31. 1:53It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, and there is nothing hidden from
  32. 1:58his sight for all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must give account."
  33. 2:08So folks, we need the word.
  34. 2:11And that's exactly what her program did.
  35. 2:14It brought the word to America again.
  36. 2:16Can't stop there, obviously.
  37. 2:17I've got to stay in the word.
  38. 2:19But look, before I get into a couple of issues I want to raise today, I want to remind you
  39. 2:24all, I've got something I'm starting to call the truth tour.
  40. 2:29Untaught facts about American history, things about American history that people were probably
  41. 2:34never thought.
  42. 2:35In some cases, some may have been taught it, but most Americans have never been taught
  43. 2:39it because what we've been taught primarily is a polemic against America emanating from
  44. 2:45the infamous Howard Zinn's book of people's history of the United States, which is an abomination.
  45. 2:53That thing is nothing but it is a compilation of lies.
  46. 2:58It is a narrative that is intended to make people hate America.
  47. 3:03And sadly, most of our youth have been exposed to that version of American history.
  48. 3:09Well, the true version of American history is what I'm going to be talking about.
  49. 3:13And I want you all to know that my first foray into this is going to be at Joy Church in
  50. 3:22Matthews, North Carolina.
  51. 3:24Let me see if I can get this thing.
  52. 3:27Here we go.
  53. 3:29Matthews, North Carolina.
  54. 3:30And that's at 11516 Idlewild Road.
  55. 3:34For those of you in North Carolina, that's 11516 Idlewild Road.
  56. 3:43Matthews, North Carolina on Friday, June 19th at 7 p.m. So just come on by. There's no ticket
  57. 3:53price, no cost involved. Just come on by and I will be teaching on the truth about American
  58. 4:02history, the truth tour. That's going to be my, that will actually be my second. I'm doing,
  59. 4:10my first is going to be a private event held at Nutramax Company, which is in South Carolina,
  60. 4:16wonderful company that's sponsoring me to come down and talk about this. And then I'm going to be
  61. 4:20going over to North Carolina to talk about it there. And then I'm going to be in in Vicksburg,
  62. 4:24Mississippi. Let's see, I think a little later in June, I need to have that date so that I can tell
  63. 4:29those of you who are listening to me exactly when I'm going to be there. So if I can find that
  64. 4:35before the program is over, I'll share that with you. Look, here's what I want to talk about though
  65. 4:39today. You know, we always say we are in a spiritual battle, right? All of us
  66. 4:47agree with that. This is, this gets fought out on the political arena, in the
  67. 4:53political arena, but it is really a spiritual battle. And, and this is why
  68. 5:01what Buddy Pound did was so important and so powerful because without the word
  69. 5:07of God, we don't have any orientation. You know, it's like our, it's our true
  70. 5:11north. And without that, we people just kind of float and bounce from pillar to
  71. 5:17post all over the place. We've got two major forces working. Well, in fact, I'd
  72. 5:22dare say three major forces working right now to undermine our country. In fact, you
  73. 5:27know what you could even say for. In fact, I think I will say for one, we've got the
  74. 5:34The leftists, the Marxists, the socialists, Zoron Mamdani, and this guy, Hassan Piker,
  75. 5:49who is just, he is just right out of the devil's playbook.
  76. 6:00And of course, Mamdani's, and he joined at the hip philosophically because they're both
  77. 6:05But you've got them, you've got the Marxists and socialists and leftists and that's a whole
  78. 6:13slew of them.
  79. 6:14You've got AOC, you've got Bernie Sanders, you've got Jasmine Crockett and On and On and
  80. 6:21On and On it goes.
  81. 6:23People whose names frankly are not even really worth saying but nevertheless, you know who
  82. 6:28they are.
  83. 6:30The whole Democrat party is filled with them at this point.
  84. 6:34We need to just come to grips with the fact there's no such thing as a democratic moderate,
  85. 6:39a democrat moderate.
  86. 6:40That doesn't exist.
  87. 6:41Look at Tallarico down in Texas.
  88. 6:43He's what they offered up to the people of Texas and they're calling him a moderate.
  89. 6:48And he believes, for example, that Mary could have had an abortion.
  90. 6:52That would have been fine with God because he gave her the choice.
  91. 6:55I mean, he believes God is non-binary, you know, that there's at least six genders.
  92. 7:05I mean, I guess we should be grateful.
  93. 7:06He didn't name 106.
  94. 7:10This guy is just, I mean, he's crazy.
  95. 7:14He just really is that crazy.
  96. 7:20But that's where the Democrat party is now.
  97. 7:22But so we got the Marxists and the socialists and the leftists.
  98. 7:26But then folks, we've got another thing
  99. 7:27that we don't talk very much about.
  100. 7:30And that is Islam, Islamism, Sharia law.
  101. 7:36law, because those of you listening to be in Texas right now, you all know this whole
  102. 7:41Plano, Texas battle over this gigantic thing that the Muslim organization wanted to build.
  103. 7:49In fact, I believe that may have contributed to John Cornyn's ignominious defeat, because
  104. 7:55he supported this thing.
  105. 7:57He basically backed some of the funding that was intended to build it.
  106. 8:01Now why in the world any American patriot, anybody calls himself a patriot, would be
  107. 8:06supporting the building of a major Islamic complex in their
  108. 8:10community is beyond me. I do not know. I will say this. Sharia
  109. 8:16law is incompatible with the Constitution of the United
  110. 8:19States and is incompatible with American culture. Period. They've
  111. 8:25got the Sharia law enclaves in Europe, in England, particularly
  112. 8:29where they don't want cops coming in, they don't want to, they're
  113. 8:32governing these places by Sharia law. We're not having that
  114. 8:35in our country. We're not having it. If you don't want to abide by our Constitution,
  115. 8:41go live in a Sharia law governed country. Don't bring it here. But this stuff is really
  116. 8:49spreading. The fact that they've set up an enclave in Texas ought to give us pause. And
  117. 8:58the fact that we've got a New York mayor who is a Muslim and we've got a Virginia lieutenant
  118. 9:04governor who is a Muslim and we had 46 Muslims elected to public office and of course they all left us.
  119. 9:14All of that ought to give us pause. These people have a right to run, people have a right to vote
  120. 9:20for them, but it's not good for our country. And then the third thing, and I'm going to save
  121. 9:29what I consider to be probably the right thing. Now the greatest
  122. 9:35single threat to our country and it goes along with the first, the first I said of these
  123. 9:39These Marxists and these leftists and the second is Islamists.
  124. 9:42And then the third of these globalists.
  125. 9:44And there's overlap between the leftists and the globalists.
  126. 9:47But these are people who just don't like American sovereignty.
  127. 9:50And they think that the best thing that could happen
  128. 9:52is we submit ourselves to the UN or some other global entity
  129. 9:56that will tell us what to do and what they can,
  130. 9:59how to speak and all that.
  131. 10:01No thank you.
  132. 10:03America first, American sovereignty.
  133. 10:08yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
  134. 10:13And then last, but certainly not least,
  135. 10:15we've got common, it's China breathing down our necks,
  136. 10:17infiltrating our country.
  137. 10:20We need a national security audit.
  138. 10:22Between these four factors, we need a national security audit
  139. 10:26to find out just to what degree we have been infiltrated
  140. 10:29and in what institutions and entities
  141. 10:32and what is the threat to our national security as a result.
  142. 10:36Because between China buying up meat plants and farms
  143. 10:41and properties next to our sensitive national security
  144. 10:46installations and Sharia law invading our country,
  145. 10:50coming in through all these refugees
  146. 10:52and bringing in a kind of foreign anti-American mindset.
  147. 10:57That's where a lot of this anti-Semitism is coming from.
  148. 11:01It's coming from these Islamists who are coming here
  149. 11:03and getting a bunch of young people to buy into this
  150. 11:05nonsense of the Israels in apartheid country
  151. 11:08and the Palestinian people are the oppressed and all that.
  152. 11:11And they're being occupied.
  153. 11:13Give me a break.
  154. 11:14I read the Bible.
  155. 11:17It tells a very different story.
  156. 11:19And what the Bible says is true.
  157. 11:20And what these other people are saying is a lie.
  158. 11:24You know, if you are a Zionist, apparently that makes you evil.
  159. 11:27Well, I'm not Jewish, but I'm a Zionist because I believe that that land was given to the children
  160. 11:31of Israel by Almighty God.
  161. 11:35And he hadn't taken it away.
  162. 11:38He dispersed them from it, but now they've been regathered to it.
  163. 11:43So between them and the globalists, you know, the world economic forum and all these crazy
  164. 11:50people who think they know best, these elites who think they know best, and only the world
  165. 11:54would get to skip together.
  166. 11:56We don't need American sovereignty.
  167. 11:58Thank God for American sovereignty.
  168. 11:59The world would be a complete wasteland if it weren't for the United States of America in
  169. 12:08every way, economically and otherwise.
  170. 12:11And then last Xi Jinping in communist China, the communist Chinese, particularly not the
  171. 12:19people of China because a lot of them are not communist, a lot of them are Christians and
  172. 12:23have other ideas, but of course they can't say that in communist China because that'll
  173. 12:27get you locked up or killed.
  174. 12:32But between birthright citizenship and Confucius institutes and all these other ways in which
  175. 12:39they found to infiltrate our country, we are beset. We really are. And folks, you may not
  176. 12:47feel it right now, but the question is what's going to feel like if this continues unabated
  177. 12:52and unchecked in 10 years, in 20 years? I'll tell you what it feels like. It feels like
  178. 12:57a country that's been completely undermined from within. And this is all a spiritual battle.
  179. 13:03I mean, think about the forces that are at work.
  180. 13:07Islamist, idolaters, communists, atheists,
  181. 13:13globalists, idolaters as well,
  182. 13:16because they think that they're gonna set up
  183. 13:18to somehow one world government,
  184. 13:19and everybody's gonna be great
  185. 13:21because they're gonna be in charge.
  186. 13:24They'll be God, thank you very much.
  187. 13:29And of course, you know,
  188. 13:32I mean, between Islamism and communism
  189. 13:35Marxism and socialism and globalism.
  190. 13:38I mean, we have the isms, don't we?
  191. 13:44We really do.
  192. 13:45And folks, by the name of Jesus,
  193. 13:51we're gonna have to rid ourselves of this mess.
  194. 13:53And it's gonna take prayer and the word of God to do it.
  195. 13:57Yeah, we have to be engaged.
  196. 13:58Yes, we have to vote.
  197. 13:59Yes, we have to be active.
  198. 14:01But without the word of God and prayer,
  199. 14:06We're we're we're impotent because that's where the power is.
  200. 14:14The power is in our connection with Almighty God, not in our connection to the Republican
  201. 14:19party or the Democrat party, but in our connection to Almighty God.
  202. 14:24Bishop E. W. Jackson in for Abraham Hamilton III here on the Hamilton Corner, stand by
  203. 14:29folks.
  204. 14:30We'll be back in a moment with Bunny Pound, a discipleship minute with Joseph Parker, not
  205. 15:12being alert, making unwise decisions, moving without a sense of urgency, any and all of
  206. 15:17these actions in wartime can literally cause someone to get killed.
  207. 15:22Psalm 91 is a unique weapon in scripture that addresses many of the perils in life.
  208. 15:28Using this weapon daily helps us to be prepared for many of the attacks the devil may utilize
  209. 15:33consistently against us.
  210. 15:36encouragement to you is to pray Psalm 91 every single day over yourself and over
  211. 15:42your family because remember in the dangerous crazy world we live in no one
  212. 15:46can protect you like the Lord can Lord. Annoying is a fresh with a spirit of grace
  213. 15:50and mercy that would empower us to be warrior-minded believers who are absolutely
  214. 15:56every day praying Psalm 91 as well as putting other weapons to work
  215. 16:00fruitfully and wisely.
  216. 16:02In Jesus' name we do pray.
  217. 16:04Amen.
  218. 16:05Shiting light into the darkness,
  219. 16:15this is the Hamilton Corner,
  220. 16:16an American family radio.
  221. 16:20And this is Bishop E. W. Jackson,
  222. 16:22and for Abraham Hamilton the third,
  223. 16:24great to be with you.
  224. 16:25Folks, I started the program out talking about
  225. 16:29the spiritual battle that we are in,
  226. 16:32and some of the forces coming against us,
  227. 16:34Marxism, Islamism, globalism,
  228. 16:36communist China, Iran. And now I want to talk to someone who has really stepped up and brought
  229. 16:45the spiritual battle to its fundamental, its foundation, which is the word of God. And I'm talking about
  230. 16:52none other than Bunny Pound. Bunny Pound is the visionary who led, pioneered, organized a
  231. 17:00of this gargantuan effort called America Reads the Bible.
  232. 17:05Bunny, welcome to the Hamilton Corner here
  233. 17:07on American Family Radio.
  234. 17:10Well, it's great to be with you Bishop Jackson as always.
  235. 17:13And it is just a blessing to just give American people hope
  236. 17:19that God is moving in our day.
  237. 17:20It really is an amazing moment that we live in.
  238. 17:23Well, look, I just mentioned all of these forces
  239. 17:25that are still working against us.
  240. 17:27And we see it in the news every single day.
  241. 17:30And we know that it is a spiritual battle.
  242. 17:33But very often it's difficult to figure out,
  243. 17:35how do we put that to work?
  244. 17:37I mean, we can pray individually,
  245. 17:38we can certainly ask God to help us and so forth.
  246. 17:42But you came up with a very unique idea.
  247. 17:47And that is America reads the Bible.
  248. 17:51Tell us how did that come about?
  249. 17:54And then what did you do to put all of that in place
  250. 17:58to have people reading the Bible from one end
  251. 18:01to the literally from the beginning to the end.
  252. 18:03That's how I got saved by the way,
  253. 18:04reading the Bible from cover to cover.
  254. 18:06But tell us how that unfolded to get America reading the Bible.
  255. 18:10Yeah, two years ago I was in the Museum of the Bible
  256. 18:13with a whole bunch of young people we take to Washington DC.
  257. 18:17And I had this encounter with the Lord about Ezra
  258. 18:20and I thought we need an Ezra moment in our nation.
  259. 18:22We need to realize who we are as a people in our nation,
  260. 18:27that's specifically the body of Christ.
  261. 18:28We've, you know, we've let a lot of things
  262. 18:32pull on our affections, even programs in our church,
  263. 18:35but we're not like focused on actually reading the Bible,
  264. 18:38praying and worshiping the Lord.
  265. 18:41So I had this thought, wouldn't it be awesome
  266. 18:43if our national leaders from all spheres of influence,
  267. 18:46all demographics and denominations would humble themselves
  268. 18:49and say we need the Bible every day to make it,
  269. 18:51and we're gonna read the Bible in front of the American
  270. 18:53people for our 250th birthday of the country. And we did that April 18 through 25. It took
  271. 19:0018 months approximately 14 months of my life working 80 hours a week with our team to pull
  272. 19:07this off. 122 ministries partnered with us, almost 500 readers, six cabinet members, six
  273. 19:15governors, 20 members of Congress, the President of the United States reading uninterrupted
  274. 19:21scripture for the first time in American history, two and a half minutes of uninterrupted scripture,
  275. 19:26as he read almost the whole chapter of second Chronicles chapter seven. And then we had 5000
  276. 19:34media hits, E. W. In one week, over 3 million streams on PureFlicks, and it's now still one of
  277. 19:42the top programs on PureFlicks. People are streaming at nonstop in their living rooms with their
  278. 19:48families. It was such an amazing moment to shepherd. I'll never forget it. And we can talk about more
  279. 19:58about how I believe it's impacted the country. But I'll just say what an honor, what an honor to see
  280. 20:05it come to pass and see God move in this way. Well, thank you for doing it because I really believe
  281. 20:11it's exactly what the country needs. I once asked Andrew Wameck who is a mutual friend of ours, I asked
  282. 20:18I said, what do you think it'll take to bring an awakening to our country?
  283. 20:22God later gave him a word that we are in an awakening right now.
  284. 20:26But he said, I expected him to talk about prayer, but he said, it's going to be the word of God.
  285. 20:32He says, it's going to be the word of God because the word of God is filled with power.
  286. 20:36And I often say, you don't even know how to pray if you're not reading and studying and
  287. 20:42by being meditating in the word of God because it teaches you how to access God and
  288. 20:48and his will and his plan and purpose for our lives.
  289. 20:50So it was a wonderful thing.
  290. 20:52And I'm so glad to hear that it's ongoing,
  291. 20:55that it's continuing, because I really believe
  292. 20:59that that's part of this awakening
  293. 21:01that is happening in our country right now,
  294. 21:03because like you said, it's never been done before,
  295. 21:05and we've never had the President of the United States
  296. 21:07reading the Bible before to the entire nation.
  297. 21:10So praise God for that.
  298. 21:12And praise God for you that you listen to the Lord
  299. 21:15and went ahead and launched this.
  300. 21:18Now, you've got a new book out,
  301. 21:20and it sounds to me like the book in some sense
  302. 21:23is kind of inspired by this experience of reading the Bible.
  303. 21:28Actually, yeah, reading the Bible came from this book
  304. 21:31when I had this encounter with the Lord about Ezra.
  305. 21:34I just finished the first draft of it
  306. 21:36and was looking for a new publisher
  307. 21:38and Whittaker House decided they wanted to publish it.
  308. 21:41But it is really the leadership qualities of Nehemiah
  309. 21:46have inspired my life for over 15 years, E.W.,
  310. 21:49I used to lead Bible studies.
  311. 21:51I used to be a congressional staffer.
  312. 21:53I ran campaigns for 16 years for members of Congress.
  313. 21:56Most people know that.
  314. 21:58But out of that, I would teach Bible studies
  315. 22:00to current staffers, state representative staffers,
  316. 22:03congressional staffers, even members of Congress.
  317. 22:05And I taught through the book of Nehemiah.
  318. 22:07And this book is literally a chronological study of the book.
  319. 22:12It's set about 16 chapters, but each chapter covers a characteristic of his leadership that I believe will impact every pastor, every civic leader, every politician that reads it, every business leader.
  320. 22:25But you can literally train your staff and leaders how to be amazing leaders through this amazing character study of Nehemiah.
  321. 22:32Not only was he a man who galvanized and mobilized people like we know to rebuild the walls of a nation in 52 days
  322. 22:40Which is
  323. 22:41Unhuman right any of us would go wow how in the world did you do that?
  324. 22:46But he went through massive warfare. He had to stay on the wall in the midst of suffering and persecution
  325. 22:52He had massive favor massive blessings
  326. 22:56He just exemplified was very strategic full of wisdom
  327. 23:00And so I actually go through 16 modern Americans also friends of mine like Kelly Shackelford and Scott Turner
  328. 23:09our head secretary and Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond and different people from different spheres of influence
  329. 23:15that exemplify these characteristics today and our culture today to inspire people that they can be leaders like
  330. 23:23me and Maya and inspire the country. And we have to have leaders. We have such a leadership
  331. 23:30crisis in our country. We need people that have a biblical worldview to step up and lead.
  332. 23:35Please lead now.
  333. 23:36Hey, man. Well, look, let me ask you this. Since you've talked about leading one of the
  334. 23:41complaints I often hear as I travel around the country is that people say many pastors,
  335. 23:47churches simply won't step up.
  336. 23:50Either they are afraid of the government punishing them
  337. 23:54because they're involved in quote unquote politics
  338. 23:57or they're afraid that their members won't like it.
  339. 24:00If they take a stand based on the word of God,
  340. 24:04well, you stepped out there and I'm sure you faced
  341. 24:08all kinds of resistance and all kinds of obstacles.
  342. 24:10You can't do anything great without facing that.
  343. 24:13What would you say to those people who are still kind of,
  344. 24:15Well, you know, I don't, I don't, I don't,
  345. 24:18I'm not sure I wanted to get involved like that.
  346. 24:21Well, it's one of the reasons we created Christians engaged
  347. 24:24our ministry about seven years ago
  348. 24:26is we wanted to create a vehicle for pastors
  349. 24:29that are awakening.
  350. 24:30They are afraid though, they're afraid of,
  351. 24:33you know, different things in their mind
  352. 24:34related to the Johnson amendment and all this stuff,
  353. 24:37but really they're worried about losing one
  354. 24:39tithing member, let's be frank.
  355. 24:40That's really what they're worried about.
  356. 24:42But we wanted to create an apparatus
  357. 24:44where they could teach people about prayer, voting,
  358. 24:46and engagement without splitting their church.
  359. 24:49And they can be bold enough to register voters
  360. 24:52and to just do the stuff.
  361. 24:54And so anybody listening to us can go to our website
  362. 24:57at christiansengaged.org and they can take so many resources
  363. 25:01that we have for pastors to their local pastor.
  364. 25:05They can be an area leader with us.
  365. 25:07They can help us mobilize people.
  366. 25:09But we track every election in the country.
  367. 25:11we push over a million people out to vote now to every election.
  368. 25:15And we teach them about prayer, voting and engagement.
  369. 25:18It's a very safe and easy way for people to do this work in a
  370. 25:23nonpartisan way that can connect their biblical values with basic
  371. 25:27civics. So we do every day.
  372. 25:30And you're involved, aren't you?
  373. 25:32You correct me if I'm wrong, but you're connected with the
  374. 25:36network of policy councils across the country.
  375. 25:39Or at some point you did some work with them?
  376. 25:42Yeah, no, we are the Church and Civic Engagement Ministry of Family Policy Alliance, and we
  377. 25:47work with our amazing family policy councils around the country.
  378. 25:51We're the beginning step one, to get every Christian praying, voting, engaging, and then
  379. 25:56we love to push people to actually working on advocacy, running for campaigns, mobilizing
  380. 26:02Christians, and working with our amazing network across the country.
  381. 26:06What is the biggest obstacle that you face, Bunny, and getting people engaged?
  382. 26:14What's the biggest hurdle?
  383. 26:16There's a couple things I hear as you hear.
  384. 26:20Just plain apathy.
  385. 26:21It's not going to make a difference.
  386. 26:22The unbelief that hits our heart that, oh well, everybody's the same.
  387. 26:27All these politicians are evil or they're mud slinging or none of this is going to matter.
  388. 26:33of the basic unbelief of that, not realizing that we have been created by God to do something,
  389. 26:40right? To create and to steward our nation, steward our earth well. But we also hear just
  390. 26:52the idea that I don't even know how to say it. It's like, my mind's going blank because
  391. 27:02there's so many frustrations I have related to this.
  392. 27:04Yeah, I'm sure.
  393. 27:06But so many people just think they can't make a difference.
  394. 27:10They really think they can't make a difference.
  395. 27:13And then the overall busyness of life, the busyness of life, tries to steal our affections
  396. 27:19from what's most important.
  397. 27:21And so when we think Proverbs 29-2 talks about when the Righteouser and Authority that
  398. 27:25people rejoice when the wicked man rules the people grown. We don't actually think that
  399. 27:34that's true. And so we keep busy with everything else. And then we're not really loving our
  400. 27:40neighbors well by electing righteous leaders. And that's a huge problem for our country.
  401. 27:45And we have to shift that part of reading the Bible over our country was reading the
  402. 27:49Bible because we have to have a biblical worldview. We have to be the leaders that
  403. 27:53God's a called us to be and then we have to elect righteous leaders to govern well, to
  404. 27:59protect our republic for the next 250 years.
  405. 28:02We have to remain strong.
  406. 28:04It's important for our country and it's important for the world that America remains strong and
  407. 28:08active and full of faith.
  408. 28:10Yeah, buddy, if I can and you have time, I want to try to get a couple phone calls in.
  409. 28:16People may want to talk to you, ask you questions.
  410. 28:18I'm sure they're inspired by you.
  411. 28:20That's the numbers, 888-589-8840.
  412. 28:23That's 888-589-8840.
  413. 28:26If you'd like to ask a question of Bunny Pound,
  414. 28:29or you'd like to make a comment, or just encourage her,
  415. 28:32this is the woman, the visionary,
  416. 28:34behind America reads the Bible.
  417. 28:36That's 888-589-8840.
  418. 28:39We'll take those calls as soon as they begin to come in,
  419. 28:42and if she can stay over a little bit
  420. 28:43to take some additional ones after the break, we'll do that.
  421. 28:47Bunny, talk to us a little bit about legacy,
  422. 28:51because frankly, I look at you and I am so encouraged,
  423. 28:56because of course I've been at this a lot longer than you have.
  424. 29:00I remember the first battle I was engaged in
  425. 29:03in addition to the whole pro-life issue
  426. 29:06was the first one of the earliest so-called gay rights bills
  427. 29:10that were coming down the pike up in Massachusetts.
  428. 29:13And I heard from pastors a lot, oh, I'm busy.
  429. 29:15I'm too busy pastoring.
  430. 29:17This is no big deal.
  431. 29:18This is not going anywhere.
  432. 29:20I mean, they were just convinced that it didn't matter
  433. 29:22in the end because, you know, God would take care of it
  434. 29:25and nothing would happen.
  435. 29:27And there are those people who do kind of say,
  436. 29:30well, you know, we already know Jesus has won the battle.
  437. 29:32It's already over and so forth.
  438. 29:35And we don't really need to get involved in all of that
  439. 29:37because, you know, the rapture's coming.
  440. 29:41So I wanna thank you as a younger person
  441. 29:44for being out there and continuing to pioneer.
  442. 29:49I think about the fact tomorrow,
  443. 29:50I'll be going to the funeral of James Robinson
  444. 29:53who has passed on, gone home to be with the Lord.
  445. 29:56And I think about how much he was concerned
  446. 30:01about legacy, about making sure that there was a new generation
  447. 30:04to pick up the gauntlet and continue to run.
  448. 30:08And frankly, your part of that new generation of leaders,
  449. 30:13And I hope that you and I hope others
  450. 30:16In my age group and beyond appreciate how God is using you. Are you getting encouragement from some of the elders in the body of Christ?
  451. 30:26Well, actually that's where we first met
  452. 30:28I don't know if you remember it was at James's studio when he had a closed-door meeting of those of us that were changing the country
  453. 30:35and I was the only woman out of 40 men in the room and
  454. 30:38And anyway, James has been such a spiritual father to me.
  455. 30:43I worked for him when I was 18, 19, and 20.
  456. 30:47We wouldn't be here.
  457. 30:48Christians engaged would not have been sustained
  458. 30:50in the early years without his support
  459. 30:52and believing in this mission of what we're doing.
  460. 30:56And I will be there honoring his legacy.
  461. 31:00But I think it comes down to this question for all of us,
  462. 31:03EW, you know, I'm too young, but I have three grandbabies.
  463. 31:08I don't look that old.
  464. 31:10But we, you know, I wanna be on the front porch
  465. 31:13of my East Texas home one day, bass fishing,
  466. 31:16telling my children and my grandchildren
  467. 31:19that I was in the fight,
  468. 31:20that I didn't let our republic die,
  469. 31:23that I didn't let the church go complacent,
  470. 31:27that I was there as a revivalist
  471. 31:29to awaken the church in an important moment, right?
  472. 31:32That I was fighting for the lives of the unborn,
  473. 31:35and I was doing everything in my power
  474. 31:38to stop the gates of hell from overtaking our nation.
  475. 31:41I think we all have to live with these decisions
  476. 31:45and we have to go, what am I gonna be saying
  477. 31:48when I'm 80, 85, 100 to the next generation?
  478. 31:53Was I in the fight?
  479. 31:54Did I just sit there binge watching Netflix all day long?
  480. 31:58How did I use the time, the precious time that we have?
  481. 32:01You know, when I ran for Congress in 2018,
  482. 32:04I used to tell my staff during that season,
  483. 32:07I have the same 24 hours,
  484. 32:09you have the same 24 hours our opponents have.
  485. 32:12How are we using that 24 hours?
  486. 32:14We'll define our destiny and define this race.
  487. 32:18I think we all have to say, look at our lives
  488. 32:21and James lived well.
  489. 32:23My gosh.
  490. 32:24Oh, man.
  491. 32:24What an amazing legacy he had.
  492. 32:26And I'm so thankful that he was in my life.
  493. 32:28We've got to take a quick break,
  494. 32:30Bunny, thank you for staying on folks.
  495. 32:32will be taking your calls when we come back just a moment.
  496. 33:08Thoughts of the child you were carrying,
  497. 33:10keep poring over in your mind.
  498. 33:13A deep unrelenting sadness over shadows your days
  499. 33:16and you wonder if you will ever feel whole again.
  500. 33:19There is hope and healing from a reproductive loss.
  501. 33:23Call the International Helpline 866-482-LIFE
  502. 33:28and talk with someone who has been where you are.
  503. 33:31Your call is confidential and we will help you find healing.

  517. 34:08Rededicating America to God.
  518. 34:11This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian World View.
  519. 34:15This year we commemorate 250 years as a nation.
  520. 34:18Early Americans in our history were overtly Christian,
  521. 34:22but we have strayed far from that today.
  522. 34:24Recently an event called Rededicate 250
  523. 34:27was held in Washington that invited, quote,
  524. 34:30all Americans to come together in prayer and worship
  525. 34:33ahead of the nation's 250th birthday.
  526. 34:36Certainly good intentions, but let's also realize
  527. 34:39that a nation is transformed when more people repent
  528. 34:42and believe in Jesus Christ.
  529. 34:44That will lead to what the psalmist said,
  530. 34:46blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
  531. 34:50Here in most recent program on Rededicate 250,
  532. 34:53with guest Todd Freel at TheChristianWorldView.org,
  533. 34:57and then join us this weekend for another topic
  534. 34:59that will sharpen your worldview.
  535. 35:00Listen to the Christian worldview with David Wheaton,
  536. 35:03Saturday mornings at 8th Central on American Family Radio.

  560. 36:30Stepping up to lead rebuilding a nation in the footsteps of Nehemiah.
  561. 36:34Wonderful. 888-58840.
  562. 36:38Bunny, we're going to go to the phones and give people an opportunity to talk to you.
  563. 36:43Our first caller is Wendy from Iowa. Wendy, welcome.
  564. 36:50Hi, Wendy.
  565. 36:51Can you hear me? Yes, we can hear you.
  566. 36:57I wanted to call and you just gave the answer to my question.
  567. 37:01I wanted I didn't write down because I'm driving the name of that book of leadership in the Bible.
  568. 37:08And that's Nehemiah, correct? Yes, stepping up to lead. Yes, stepping up to lead, rebuilding a nation in the footsteps of Nehemiah.
  569. 37:18My name is Bunny pounds bunny with an eye. So just think of a bunny rabbit with an eye.
  570. 37:23Yeah, I'm sure you look at Bunny's name. You'll find the book. Okay. All right. Okay. B I N N Y. No, I D I N N I.
  571. 37:33Yes. Oh, be I. Okay. Yeah. My other book on my story is called Jesus in politics. One
  572. 37:42woman's walk with God in a mud slinging profession. That's a highly entertaining book too. Okay.
  573. 37:49All right, Wendy, well, follow follow up and I'm sure you are going to be inspired and encouraged
  574. 37:58about what God is doing with Bunny Pound. So thank you so much for the call Wendy. Let's
  575. 38:02go to Greg in Arkansas. Greg, welcome. Oh, Greg, we got some
  576. 38:12background noise there. I'm sorry. That's okay. I just had a
  577. 38:19simple question. And I think you pretty much answered it.
  578. 38:24Bunny just said go to American engage.org. I think it's
  579. 38:29Christian. Right? I was looking. I think it's Christians
  580. 38:34engage, right? Money and. Yeah, I'm going to engage that work and you can take the pledge. There's a
  581. 38:41commitment to pray for our nation to vote in every election and to gauge in some form of civic
  582. 38:47education or involvement for the well-being of our country. So just take that commitment,
  583. 38:52fill that out and you'll start getting prayer reminders every Monday and four votes, four voting
  584. 38:58reminders for every election to make sure you never forget to steward your nation well again.
  585. 39:04a man christians engaged out of love
  586. 39:09all right thank you so much i felt like for a long time
  587. 39:12exactly what you just said that
  588. 39:15people are too worried about their not gonna change anything so if everybody
  589. 39:19that says that would get off their butt and do something then
  590. 39:23we'd be more like money
  591. 39:25that they may and yes i i got tired of running christian candidates as
  592. 39:31candidates and then them losing because churches wouldn't come out to vote so
  593. 39:35If every Christian actually votes,
  594. 39:38we can literally shift the nation, I believe that.
  595. 39:40Hey, man, thank you for the call, Greg.
  596. 39:42Let's go to Carolyn in North Carolina.
  597. 39:45Carolyn, welcome.
  598. 39:48Hi, thank you.
  599. 39:49Appreciate your bishop and bunny, I love your name.
  600. 39:52Thank you.
  601. 39:54I was named after Billy Green's daughter, Ruth Graham Bell.
  602. 39:57Yeah.
  603. 39:58Oh, that's great.
  604. 40:01So my question is I have been,
  605. 40:04my husband's a veteran,
  606. 40:06So we pray for the country all the time.
  607. 40:08We're active in our church.
  608. 40:10I've been a public speaker for many years.
  609. 40:12I'm comfortable in front of five or 500.
  610. 40:16And my question is, what would be the best place
  611. 40:19to get started?
  612. 40:21Like what's the best next step to get started
  613. 40:26in my community, my church,
  614. 40:30my new community where I just moved?
  615. 40:35Where do I start?
  616. 40:36That's a great question.
  617. 40:39Number one, you wanna kind of look at your interests
  618. 40:42and what are the kind of the burdens that you carry?
  619. 40:45Is it for a specific topic?
  620. 40:47Is it for your Chamber of Commerce?
  621. 40:52Would you ever wanna run for office?
  622. 40:55We have a great program through Christian's Engage
  623. 40:57our area leader program that we actually walk with you.
  624. 41:01We have Zoom meetings once a month.
  625. 41:03We actually train people how to engage their pastor,
  626. 41:07do voter registration drives,
  627. 41:09how to lead classes in your home or in your church.
  628. 41:12We have so many resources there,
  629. 41:14but really you just wanna start somewhere.
  630. 41:16Is that going to a political party event?
  631. 41:21So one thing we love to tell people
  632. 41:24is we have an on-ramp to civic engagement class,
  633. 41:28and we've actually done this over around the country,
  634. 41:31but we haven't recorded.
  635. 41:33It's amazing, it's 29 bucks and you can buy it
  636. 41:36and it'll actually help you discover
  637. 41:37where you need to go for your life
  638. 41:40because there's so many needs.
  639. 41:42And between federal government, state government,
  640. 41:45county government, local government,
  641. 41:46there's so many ways you can plug in.
  642. 41:48But if we all find our place on the wall,
  643. 41:51that's where the power is.
  644. 41:52So we'll help you do that.
  645. 41:54Thank you for the call, Kelly.
  646. 41:56We appreciate that.
  647. 41:57Wow, that's really very practical advice, Bunny.
  648. 42:01And sounds like you've got a really practical way
  649. 42:04of helping people to get engaged,
  650. 42:07not just say and get engaged,
  651. 42:08but actually paving the way for people to do that.
  652. 42:11That is great.
  653. 42:12Okay, let's, we've got Tracy in Texas.
  654. 42:17Tracy, welcome.
  655. 42:20Hi, thank you for talking with me on call.
  656. 42:22Bunny, I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you.
  657. 42:26so very much for being obedient to what the Lord put on your heart.
  658. 42:32I realized that you have already had some engagement in political areas,
  659. 42:36but I was so excited when I heard about this on this radio station
  660. 42:42and I drive for the city of Denton, Texas.
  661. 42:45And so I listened to this program, Hamilton Report all the time,
  662. 42:50while I'm driving around Denton.
  663. 42:52However, I was telling people about it when I found out about it
  664. 42:56and just kind of spreading the word
  665. 42:59and I was engaged with it throughout the week
  666. 43:01as much as possible.
  667. 43:03And I just wanted to thank you so much.
  668. 43:06And you've really inspired a lot of people
  669. 43:11to want to do more,
  670. 43:13but I'm just very grateful that you took this.
  671. 43:17And the dedication, people don't realize day by day
  672. 43:21that 24 hour thing you just said,
  673. 43:23they don't realize that day by day thing.
  674. 43:25how long 14 months can take to organize something?
  675. 43:29I'm doing good if I can get six people together
  676. 43:32for lunch date, so thank you.
  677. 43:35Thank you.
  678. 43:36Thank you, Tracy.
  679. 43:37Yeah, the depth of what it's done for families,
  680. 43:40I think I've not really realized how effective it was
  681. 43:45when you turn on a Bible reading in your home
  682. 43:49and thank you for playing it in your home for your family.
  683. 43:52Again, the amount of families that are still playing this nonstop,
  684. 43:56I've got even business owners that said they keep playing it in their offices,
  685. 44:01nonstop because the word just penetrating the atmosphere is shifting the environment
  686. 44:08in their offices or in their homes. Um, we had a one little boy woke up the other day.
  687. 44:14He told his mom and dad,
  688. 44:15he wanted to do America,
  689. 44:16read the Bible in their home at breakfast,
  690. 44:18He pulled out his little Jesus Bible and started reading it to his parents.
  691. 44:22I mean, that is culture changing.
  692. 44:25Amen.
  693. 44:26Because the altar is back in the home of the Bible being read.
  694. 44:30So thank you, Tracy, for doing that and keep sharing it with people.
  695. 44:35Hey, Abunni, since you brought this up, any chance that this becomes something that people
  696. 44:41could get in like they had now the you know the word Bible or the Bible the audio Bible
  697. 44:49and if any chance that this becomes something that's available to people on an ongoing basis.
  698. 44:54Yes well PureFlex has it for free everybody can watch every hour it's going to be there forever
  699. 45:02we're also going to take the audio files and put it out on a podcast you know streaming
  700. 45:08platform so that people can listen to it nonstop as well. We're going to be clipping every single
  701. 45:14reader on America Reads the Bible on our YouTube channel. So Patricia Heaton and Candice Camemberay
  702. 45:20and all of those will be individual clips so that people can share them on social media and stuff.
  703. 45:27Starting July 1, I'm probably going to watch every single video and invite the American people
  704. 45:32to watch each video with me. So we got a lot of plans to keep the archives alive and it's
  705. 45:39not the end. We don't know what God wants to do with America reads the Bible, but we do feel
  706. 45:44like we've tapped into something and we really have seen that there's a famine in the land
  707. 45:49for just the word. You know, we can't live on a 20 minute sermon at our local churches anymore
  708. 45:55and think we're going to make it guys. You've got to have the word all the time and this is just
  709. 45:59one of the ways you can get in the word in you. Well, we've only got a couple of minutes
  710. 46:03left. Let's see if we can get some of these calls in. We've got Samuel in Texas. Samuel, welcome.
  711. 46:09Yes. Good afternoon Bishop Bonnie. I just wanted to we were just talking to a group of pastors at
  712. 46:16Corpus Christi. We had citizens defending freedom. They actually did a proclamation at the county
  713. 46:24courthouse that basically was a proclamation from our county judge for a
  714. 46:30responsible fatherhood
  715. 46:32and i remember you a few years ago you came to corporate christy
  716. 46:36on body and it was just it's exciting to hear what you were doing
  717. 46:40i was very excited about america's reads the bible
  718. 46:43on the really resonates with me i've been for maybe about three years i've been
  719. 46:48literally
  720. 46:49on quoting
  721. 46:50exit is twenty
  722. 46:51every morning
  723. 46:53in the morning out in the air and I believe that speaking scripture out like
  724. 46:57what you did with America's reached the Bible
  725. 47:00was absolutely what our nation needs and that's really thankful for you for doing
  726. 47:05that
  727. 47:05on the god bless you and continue to work through you
  728. 47:08thank you and carpets christy is a perfect example of what it looks like
  729. 47:13when the church gets together i mean there's no more unity in the body of
  730. 47:17christ than in corpus christy texas and you have the best member of congress
  731. 47:21because of it. Uh, Congressman Michael Cloud, who's a dear friend and on our advisory board. So,
  732. 47:27um, that's what happens when the church gets together and works in a community is what's happening
  733. 47:31in Corpus Christi, Texas. So keep it up. Amen. We've got time for one more call. This is, I think
  734. 47:36it's pronounced Randell could correct me if I'm wrong, Randell, uh, from Arkansas, I believe. Welcome.
  735. 47:45Thank you, Bishop. Thank you, Bonnie. Uh, Randall Randall. Okay. Yeah. Um, I'm burdened by the fact
  736. 47:53that I have family in Texas that I tried to convey to them what you have been saying,
  737. 48:01what Bunny says, and of course we know the answers are in God's Word.
  738. 48:05And they still listen to the media and whatever they hear on WBAP or KRLD or whatever,
  739. 48:16or TV radio, they still cannot believe
  740. 48:21that they're being misled.
  741. 48:25And so even with me trying to convey that to them,
  742. 48:29they still voted incorrectly.
  743. 48:32And that's what's at the burden I carry.
  744. 48:35Yeah.
  745. 48:36All right, Randall, I'm gonna let you go
  746. 48:37and let Bunny respond to that.
  747. 48:38And then Bunny, I wanna try to get in one more time
  748. 48:40where people can connect with you,
  749. 48:43but go ahead and respond to Randall.
  750. 48:45Yeah, it is a sobering moment guys,
  751. 48:47and this is why we read the Bible all the way through
  752. 48:50because we have to know the truth
  753. 48:53and the only way we're gonna know truth from error
  754. 48:56in the days ahead is the word of God.
  755. 48:58So, you know, just to keep encouraging your family members
  756. 49:01that there's only one place of truth,
  757. 49:03and that's the word,
  758. 49:04and we have to line up our voting habits related to that.
  759. 49:08And unfortunately, that's not an easy message for people,
  760. 49:11but it's a message we have to keep caring it.
  761. 49:13So thank you for caring it.
  762. 49:15So many people are inspired by you.
  763. 49:17How again, give them how to get the book,
  764. 49:19how to connect with your website,
  765. 49:21just to tell people that information again
  766. 49:23for those who might have missed it.
  767. 49:25Yeah, go to Christiansengage.org,
  768. 49:28take the pledge to pray, vote, and engage.
  769. 49:30You'll get in our system and connect with the ministry.
  770. 49:34Marica reads the Bible.com,
  771. 49:36where you can watch non-stop Bible reading.
  772. 49:39It's amazing and you'll touch your life.
  773. 49:42And then the new book is Stepping Up to Lead,
  774. 49:44rebuilding a nation in the footsteps of Nehemiah.
  775. 49:46So get it wherever you get your books.
  776. 49:48Well, Bunny, it looks like you and I may be seeing each other.
  777. 49:50It's gonna be a big crowd.
  778. 49:51So I don't know that that will happen,
  779. 49:53but I'll be at the funeral for James as well.
  780. 49:56So maybe by the grace of God, I'll see you there.
  781. 49:59But thank you so much, Bunny, for all that you are doing
  782. 50:01for God, for the body of Christ and for our country.
  783. 50:05Well, thank you, Bishop.
  784. 50:06And we'll honor the man who got us all started
  785. 50:08and encourages us in the next,
  786. 50:10I know he's cheering in a great cloud of witnesses
  787. 50:12for us right now.
  788. 50:13Hey man, folks that was Bunny Pound great woman of God. I can't believe that she's got three grandchildren
  789. 50:19but
  790. 50:20but
  791. 50:21Wonderful woman of God being used mightily by the Holy Spirit
  792. 50:25You all know what to do stand up step up speak up and refuse to back up because we cannot be defeated
  793. 50:30If we will not quit because we are on God's side
