  10. 0:28and now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:32Good evening.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  13. 0:39I'm your host Abraham Hamilton III,
  14. 0:41and I am joined by the full squad.
  15. 0:44Mr. Jeff Reed is on my left.
  16. 0:47Mr. Rob Gardner is on my right.
  17. 0:49Marty Sparks is lighting up the dark from the screening room,
  18. 0:53and we are ready to rock and roll with another edition
  19. 0:56of the program.
  20. 0:59Right now, many of you are making that transition from your part-time work to your full-time work.
  21. 1:05Although some of us, we have integrated that phenomenon in some states.
  22. 1:09You might have been releasing that. I'm trying to pull you back in. Wherever you are, wherever you are,
  23. 1:18again, I thank you for joining the program, but I want to make sure you understand
  24. 1:21that we all understand that what we do to generate an income that is not our identity.
  25. 1:27And I know we describe it as full-time work, you know, based on hours and a week and so on.
  26. 1:34But I just want to let you know what you do for a living is a part-time job.
  27. 1:39Your full-time job is discharging faithfulness to the Lord and especially taking advantage
  28. 1:48of the opportunity to do so in a primary context that He has created for us within our families.
  29. 1:56This is our full-time job.
  30. 2:01This is our full time job.
  31. 2:04All too often we have sacrificed our families, many of us, many of us, on the altar of external
  32. 2:11faithfulness that we have turned our attention and our focus has been dedicated so much to
  33. 2:18making things happen outside of our families that we wake up to realize, hmm, probably should
  34. 2:25have been more present when I was present.
  35. 2:30scripture teaches clearly that when it comes to the offspring of children born into Christian
  36. 2:36families, it's not the church's job to make disciples of our children. It's not the school's
  37. 2:42job, especially the schools that systematically exclude the knowledge of God. How would they
  38. 2:46make a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ? It's the parent's job with the fathers leading
  39. 2:58their families. So I know that's not politically correct. Hey, Ram, did you just say fathers
  40. 3:02Are they all the lead families?
  41. 3:03Yes, I did.
  42. 3:05Because my concern is that I am biblically correct,
  43. 3:08not politically correct.
  44. 3:12And if someone has a problem with God making men
  45. 3:15or maybe more specific, you know, in this crazy time,
  46. 3:19making husbands the head of their families,
  47. 3:22their issues, their issue is with God, not with me.
  48. 3:26I didn't create that idea.
  49. 3:28It is not my original thought.
  50. 3:31I am repeating what was orchestrated and ordained by the heavenly Father.
  51. 3:37And it just so happens, it just so happens that when we obey God's instructions, things
  52. 3:46go well with that.
  53. 3:48But when we don't obey God's instructions, well, let me say it this way.
  54. 3:56You can do your own research to see the impact of, I'll say it this way, headless homes.
  55. 4:04You can do your own research to see the down the line implications, not only for men, but
  56. 4:10for women.
  57. 4:11In case you don't know, men were once boys and women were once girls.
  58. 4:18Obeying God has great benefit for all of us.
  59. 4:22And so my encouragement is simply for us to re-establish the biblical understanding generally
  60. 4:28and specifically as it pertains to the family.
  61. 4:31when you understand the role you have within your home,
  62. 4:37you recognize, man, this is the primary context
  63. 4:40for ministry.
  64. 4:41Do you realize that you have the opportunity to change the world
  65. 4:44by shepherding your families well?
  66. 4:48You do.
  67. 4:49You do.
  68. 4:50You have the opportunity to literally change the world
  69. 4:55by serving well in your home.
  70. 4:57And the unfortunate thing is that the God haters understand this
  71. 5:02and there's so much so that they work feverishly to make sure they box you and I out of having
  72. 5:07influence on our own children so that they dominate the shaping of the minds, hearts, and the cultures
  73. 5:15for future generations. It's very easy to point at the craziness that's going on around us and say,
  74. 5:21look how bad things have gotten, but how much of what is happening right now has happened with your
  75. 5:26consent, with my consent. To the word of God we go. Mark chapter 4. Mark chapter 4.
  76. 5:35verses 13 through 20. This is where Yeshua the Messiah explained in private to
  77. 5:49his disciples his parable of the soils. You know he told the parable in public
  78. 5:56then he pulled his disciples up close to him and asked him do you understand
  79. 6:01what's going on here and this is where we've been granted a peek into this
  80. 6:06conversation because the Lord knew this would edify us. This is what the word of
  81. 6:14God says. Verse 13, and he, yeshua, said to them, do you not understand this parable?
  82. 6:19How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word and
  83. 6:28these are the ones along the path where the word is sown. When they hear Satan
  84. 6:35immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them and these are
  85. 6:401. Are the one sewn on rocky ground, the ones who when they hear the word immediately receive
  86. 6:46it with joy, and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a little while, and then when
  87. 6:54tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away. And
  88. 7:06others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world,
  89. 7:13and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word,
  90. 7:21and it proves unfruitful. But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the
  91. 7:27word and accept it and bear fruit, 30 fold, 60 fold and 100 fold. Now I'm pretty sure
  92. 7:37just like me you have probably heard many people abuse this text to make it say
  93. 7:44things that are not being conveyed to us by the scripture. The seed that was sown
  94. 7:49is not money. Jesus is explicit. Yeshua is explicit. The seed is the word of God.
  95. 8:01The seed is the Word of God.
  96. 8:03And as he goes on to explain the various types of soil,
  97. 8:09he explains the seed that was sown along the path
  98. 8:13as those who hear the word, but immediately Satan is able to steal the word from them.
  99. 8:18Then he goes on to explain the rocky ground, the seed, or the word that is sown on the rocky ground.
  100. 8:25It's a parable, so it's representative of those people who hear the word
  101. 8:32and upon initial reception of it, they respond exclusively emotionally.
  102. 8:39Now notice I said exclusively emotionally, because there are some people who try to
  103. 8:45completely eliminate the reality that God has given us emotion. If you listen to me
  104. 8:51for any length of time, you know I say repeatedly that emotions are a gift to us
  105. 8:56from God. But God did not give us emotions for them to lead us. Emotions
  106. 9:03are horrible generals, but they are tremendous foot soldiers.
  107. 9:07That's why the Lord tells us, tells us in his word things like,
  108. 9:10set your affection, that we have the capacity to direct, to aim,
  109. 9:16and to launch our emotions in a productive and a fruitful direction.
  110. 9:22But when we allow our emotions to get out of place,
  111. 9:25when they begin to drive our engagement, they dictate to us what we do,
  112. 9:30then our emotions have become disordered.
  113. 9:33Lord has never given up emotions so that they lead anything.
  114. 9:37Why didn't you do this?
  115. 9:38Because I didn't feel like it.
  116. 9:39Okay.
  117. 9:41I didn't ask you what you felt like.
  118. 9:43You know, this is also a part of the reason why I have such a great objection to the romantic
  119. 9:48comedy display of love.
  120. 9:50You know, people say, I fell in love.
  121. 9:52I fell out of love.
  122. 9:53Listen, you can't fall in and out of love.
  123. 9:56I've said it before, love is an act of the will.
  124. 9:59It is accompanied by emotion.
  125. 10:02But it is an act of the will.
  126. 10:05One of the foremost demonstrations of love is commitment.
  127. 10:10That may not go to too many marriage conferences.
  128. 10:13I know people like to feel their way about,
  129. 10:15no, love is an act of the will.
  130. 10:17And before you say, yeah, but men are not emotional.
  131. 10:19That's not true.
  132. 10:20Have you ever watched the Saints gang with the Saints fan?
  133. 10:23Who happened to be a man?
  134. 10:24Drew Brees, what are you?
  135. 10:26You never hear anybody saying,
  136. 10:27I really wish Drew Brees would throw a more accurate pad.
  137. 10:32You know, you ever saw a man on a golf course like Jeffrey?
  138. 10:35Oh, Jeff Turner's around saying, I lost that one, Jeff.
  139. 10:41I mean, I lost that one, Rob, in the drink again.
  140. 10:46Of course not, men have emotions.
  141. 10:49We express them differently, but we have them
  142. 10:52because all humans have them.
  143. 10:55Let me keep going.
  144. 10:58But the seed that was sewn on the Rocky Grounds
  145. 11:00was representative of the people who hear the word
  146. 11:03and receive it emotionally, but they have no root.
  147. 11:07of your relationship with the Messiah is exclusively emotional. It's very likely that it has no root.
  148. 11:19This is why I can say that there is no competition between the word of the Lord and the Spirit of
  149. 11:25God, because it is the Spirit of God that aids us in loving the Lord with our mind. But when
  150. 11:36But when Emotion-alism is the base of your relationship with the Lord, as the Scripture
  151. 11:44says plainly, when difficulty comes, tribulation or persecution, notice those things are not
  152. 11:51identical, but tribulation or persecution.
  153. 11:54And guess what the Bible says?
  154. 11:55On account of the Word.
  155. 12:01Do you realize that there are persecutions and tribulations that come our way because
  156. 12:11of the word of God and our commitment to it.
  157. 12:18I know that messes some people theology up right now as well, because some have been persuaded
  158. 12:23by charlatans that faith in Christ means you live life on flowery beds of ease.
  159. 12:30No man, no sir.
  160. 12:33All who live godly will face persecution.
  161. 12:40Then Jesus goes on in his explanation and said, and others are sown among the thorn.
  162. 12:46those who hear the word, but the cares of the world, the cares of this life, and the deceitfulness
  163. 12:57of riches. So that's not even the acquiring, the obtaining of riches. It is the deceitfulness
  164. 13:05of riches, as well as the desires or the lust for other things. They choke the benefit of the
  165. 13:16the word in our lives, making it unfruitful. I want to ask a question. Why are you following
  166. 13:30Jesus? You remember when Jesus had performed miracles and specifically he turned the little
  167. 13:39boys, fish po' boy, into food for thousands where they had leftovers? He crossed to the
  168. 13:46other side and next thing you know he gets on the other side of the body of water? The crowds
  169. 13:50continue to harass him. And Jesus turns to his disciples. Don't trip. Look, this is the
  170. 13:55the Abe translation.
  171. 13:57Don't trip.
  172. 13:58They just want to sandwich.
  173. 14:01These people are not following me
  174. 14:02because they are invested in me as a Messiah.
  175. 14:04They want me to feel their bellies.
  176. 14:09They want me to be the genie from the Aladdin movie
  177. 14:12so they can rub me whatever they want
  178. 14:14and so they can get another poll board.
  179. 14:17But I'm asking you, are you following me
  180. 14:22because of your investment in who I am as a Messiah?
  181. 14:27Because folks, we're living in a time
  182. 14:29where everything that can be shaken will be shaken.
  183. 14:33And your allegiance will be exposed in this hour.
  184. 14:38So I want you to encourage us to not be those
  185. 14:41who merely have an emotional affinity
  186. 14:44for the resurrected Christ,
  187. 14:45but we welcome the Lord to give us girth and depth
  188. 14:49in that we are grounded and rooted in Him.
  189. 14:53Because without the Messiah,
  190. 14:54where else will we go for the words of eternal life.
  191. 15:02And now your two-minute health and prayer is update
  192. 15:05from the Presidential Prayer Team,
  193. 15:07a ministry of the Pray First Radio Network.
  194. 15:11Rather effective today,
  195. 15:12requiring all counties to close their indoor activities,
  196. 15:17their indoor operations in the following sectors,
  197. 15:21restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms,
  198. 15:23movie theaters, family entertainment centers,
  199. 15:26zoos and museums, card rooms,
  200. 15:29and the shuttering of all bars.
  201. 15:31This is in every county in the state of California.
  202. 15:35Let me just close by soberly saying that we lost
  203. 15:39another 23 lives to this pandemic in the last day,
  204. 15:4623 human beings that family members have lost loved ones.
  205. 15:52Being torn apart, it's a reminder of the deadliness
  206. 15:55of this disease.
  207. 15:56We had 72 individuals on Saturday.
  208. 15:59Hello, this is Jim Boldhouse, President of the Pray First Radio Network.

  210. 16:08COVID-19 virus, as well as important prayer points to guide you in prayer at a time when
  211. 16:14our country needs it most.
  212. 16:16Psalm 27-1 reminds us of the love and strength we receive from God.
  213. 16:21The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear.
  214. 16:25The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid.
  215. 16:29We'd like to invite you right now to join us in prayer.
  216. 16:33Dear Heavenly Father, strengthen and help us to stand strong in our daily battle.
  217. 16:38Lift up our hearts and our spirits and guide us as we navigate an uncertain path.
  218. 16:44Keep us focused on your love for us.
  219. 16:47We ask these things in Jesus' name.

  222. 17:00His Capital Punishment Biblical.
  223. 17:02Brian Fisher here with today's Life in Liberty Minute.
  224. 17:04White supremacist Daniel Lewis Lee was executed Monday
  225. 17:08for the torture and murder of an Arkansas family,
  226. 17:10including an eight-year-old girl.
  227. 17:12In 1996, Lee shot them to death, put plastic bags over their heads,
  228. 17:16weighed down their bodies with rocks, and dumped them in an Illinois bayou.
  229. 17:21God says in Genesis 9,
  230. 17:22who ever sheds the blood of man by man shall his blood be shed for God made man in his own
  231. 17:29image.
  232. 17:30Taking the life of an innocent human being is such a severe breach of the law of God and
  233. 17:35man that the murderer must be required to forfeit his own life in the interest of justice.
  234. 17:40The only question is why did our government take 24 years to put this guy to death?
  235. 17:46If justice delayed is justice denied, the families and friends of these victims were denied justice
  236. 17:51for far too long. Catch Brian Fisher on focal point weekday afternoons at 105
  237. 17:56Central on American Family Radio. Shining lightning to the darkness this is
  238. 18:07the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio. Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner here
  239. 18:12on American Family Radio. There's a lot a lot a lot going on in the world and I
  240. 18:21I just, I'm not gonna explain this.
  241. 18:27Talking to people, and I've heard people say some things,
  242. 18:30and my ears perk up, and it's in conversations,
  243. 18:38especially with members of the family of God.
  244. 18:41And I'm hearing, I have heard something said repeatedly,
  245. 18:49and in my heart, I've had like,
  246. 18:53whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what exactly are you saying?
  247. 18:57And what I'm referring to is I'm hearing people repeatedly say things, you know,
  248. 19:06we got to fight for God in country.
  249. 19:07You know, we got to fight for God in country.
  250. 19:08You know, we got to fight for God in country.
  251. 19:10And I'm saying, you send out a little too quickly for me.
  252. 19:15You guys know, if you've listened to the program I've explained,
  253. 19:17idolatry biblically has been the communication, especially using the Old Testament
  254. 19:23examples that when it wasn't complete rejection of Yahweh worship,
  255. 19:28was simply the elevation to the same level of Yahweh as everything else.
  256. 19:35Other things.
  257. 19:36You know, throw a little Yahweh on top, a little Ba'al, Asterith, we put them all in a pot together.
  258. 19:41And I want to be clear, everybody understands this.
  259. 19:44I remember when I, on the 4th of July, I tweeted out,
  260. 19:49I am grateful to live in the land that God has ordained for me to be born.
  261. 19:54When I quote Act 1726, that before time,
  262. 20:00God established the boundaries of our habitation and the times that we would live in.
  263. 20:05I mean that.
  264. 20:08And the United States of America, I say it unabashedly.
  265. 20:12I say it with my chest is the greatest nation in the history of the world.
  266. 20:20Having said that, the United States of America is not my God.
  267. 20:28I would just let that set in for a second.
  268. 20:32my commitment to God supersedes and transcends any other commitment or affiliation in my life.
  269. 20:41And I would pray that you have the same standpoint. The reality is, it is, our allegiance is to God.
  270. 20:50And because of God and is sovereign ordinance of the place of our birth and our rearing or the place
  271. 20:56place where we have migrated to legally, then we as the Lord commissioned the Hebrew
  272. 21:06boys, we seek the peace and the betterment of the place where God has planted us.
  273. 21:13And my wife, actually my wife was first, you know, I have a, I got a lot of books from
  274. 21:18my house.
  275. 21:19And now on my nice stand, I got a stack of the books, those are the ones in queue at the
  276. 21:21moment.
  277. 21:22And I had one in queue and my wife kind of pulled it out before me, so she read it first, and
  278. 21:27and we were kind of discussing it together and I have it now.
  279. 21:30But it's a book I've had for a while
  280. 21:31that's titled Hitler's Cross,
  281. 21:34written by Erwin Lutzer,
  282. 21:36you know, the pastor, emeritus,
  283. 21:38at Moody Bible Church.
  284. 21:40And as I'm reading this book,
  285. 21:43I cannot help but recall conversations
  286. 21:46that I've had with people, things I've read,
  287. 21:49and that's all, I do stuff kind of seems similar in some way.
  288. 21:53Now let me be clear about something else.
  289. 21:57I don't want anybody to take anything about this conversation to try to project it on to an issue
  290. 22:02about presidential elections or anything of that nature. What I am driving at today is
  291. 22:10really an introspection invitation to where our loyalties lie because there are some people
  292. 22:16who are saying we need to contend for God and country. What they're saying is that they want to fight
  293. 22:22for the American way of life. There are some people, not all. I know that many people use the phrase,
  294. 22:27I'm not and I'm not even coming at the phrase. They don't think I'm trying to get people to stop using a phrase
  295. 22:31But they are some who when they use that phrase their highest allegiance is to wanted to preserve the ability to have a 401k
  296. 22:38Or the ability, you know like Jeff to go golfing
  297. 22:42Or the ability, you know to continue to have you know manual
  298. 22:46I mean automatic transmissions air condition and the type of
  299. 22:51Existence where you know if you don't want to go to a restaurant the restaurant come to you with uber eats and these kind of things
  300. 22:56Y'all get what I'm saying?
  301. 22:58And if we're not careful, and what I mean careful,
  302. 23:03I mean we should be students of history,
  303. 23:06but more importantly, students of the word of God.
  304. 23:09Because in the parable of the soils, you notice Jesus explained,
  305. 23:14oh, you know what that was that choked the word?
  306. 23:17The cares of this life.
  307. 23:19It wasn't that it was an overt hostile military action.
  308. 23:22It was simply the cares of this life mounting to such a degree
  309. 23:26to where it captured our attention and it boiled over to the
  310. 23:31lust of other things that it caused the word of God to be
  311. 23:34unfruitful.
  312. 23:36For us now, what am I driving at? One of the things throughout
  313. 23:40history, most of the time when you have dictators, the people that
  314. 23:43are subjugated by the dictators usually, usually, usually hate the
  315. 23:51dictator. But you know, and exception to that was Adolf Hitler.
  316. 23:56Do you realize that Adolf Hitler was beloved by the German people, including the church?
  317. 24:08Yes, there were some in the church who resisted Adolf Hitler, but many of them did so only
  318. 24:14after it was too late, and they were an extreme minority in the church.
  319. 24:21If you know anything about the Hitler's ascendancy, you know that the German people were reeling
  320. 24:30from World War I, they felt like their nation had been crushed, their national identity had
  321. 24:34been crushed, and they were almost craving, you know, a strong man to come to power.
  322. 24:40They had even concluded, you know, with the Wyoming Republic that their experiments, even
  323. 24:44in democratic participation, only resulted in weak government.
  324. 24:49So they almost craved a strong man.
  325. 24:54And one of the things that they sought was for economic stability and security.
  326. 25:05The cravings were so strong that they even penetrated the church.
  327. 25:14And I'm going to give you an example of what I mean.
  328. 25:16What I mean.
  329. 25:17I have a couple of things that I'm just going to pull out.
  330. 25:18I'm not going to read the whole book.
  331. 25:19I don't want to pull out a couple of things for your benefit.
  332. 25:24So first in his book, and many of you remember this, many of you have heard about it, but
  333. 25:33Erwin Lützer recalled his conversation with a man who was a Christian living in Germany
  334. 25:40during the Holocaust.
  335. 25:42And the man shared his testimony and he said this, quote, I lived in Germany during the
  336. 25:51Nazi Holocaust.
  337. 25:52I consider myself a Christian.
  338. 25:55We heard stories of what was happening to the Jews, but we tried to distance ourselves
  339. 25:58from it.
  340. 25:59Because what could anyone do to stop it?
  341. 26:01A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning we could hear the whistle
  342. 26:06in the distance, and then the wheels coming over the tracks.
  343. 26:10We became disturbed when we heard the cries coming from the train as it passed by.
  344. 26:17Jews like cattle in the car.
  345. 26:20Week after week the whistle would blow.
  346. 26:22She dreaded to hear the sound of those wheels because we knew that we would hear the cries
  347. 26:27of the Jews en route to a death camp.
  348. 26:30Their screams tormented us.
  349. 26:33We knew the time the train was coming and when we heard the whistle blow we began singing
  350. 26:37him.
  351. 26:40By the time the train came past our church we were singing at the top of our voices.
  352. 26:47If we heard the screams we sang more loudly and soon we heard them no more.
  353. 26:57have passed and no one talks about it anymore, but I still hear that train whistle in my sleep.
  354. 27:02God forgive me, forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians, yet did nothing to intervene.
  355. 27:10Now I know many of us have heard that before and even many of us have heard the comparisons
  356. 27:18to the Holocaust in Germany, to the silent Holocaust in our nation, with children who were
  357. 27:34being slaughtered and then mothers will. And, and hear me well, not everybody agree with
  358. 27:43this, but those who opposed it were in the minority. By and large brothers and sisters,
  359. 27:48I'm going to tell you the reason why large swaths of the church at that time failed to
  360. 27:57oppose Hitler's not suffocation of Germany, including the church, to where he replaced
  361. 28:03the cross of Christ with the broken cross of the swastika was because under Hitler, they
  362. 28:11had full tummies. Under Hitler, they were able to have an elevation of their national
  363. 28:21patriotic identity. And opposing Hitler ultimately was a risk of your life. But earlier on,
  364. 28:33they saw it as a way to make Germany great again. Just as this man's testimony says,
  365. 28:42they increased the volume of their voices.
  366. 28:46And as I said, they didn't want to mess up the good things
  367. 28:49that came under Hitler.
  368. 28:50You had many churchmen who marveled after Hitler
  369. 28:54became chancellor and seized all political power
  370. 28:57for himself that he did things socially
  371. 29:03that helped the Germans live better lives.
  372. 29:09So like this Christian, they were willing to sing
  373. 29:14a little louder because the economic status
  374. 29:19the country was increasing. And isn't it remarkable? One of the primary reasons that are offered
  375. 29:30to normalize the intentional annihilation of children in the womb is that they're willing
  376. 29:36to sacrifice the child or the mother. It's remarkable. Well, I'll save that later. And
  377. 29:49I want you guys to hear this because we know many of them. And again, I'm not trying to
  378. 29:54paint with the barber's. There were some who opposed this, but they were a gross minority.
  379. 30:00Do you realize that many of the SS troops who committed the atrocities, do you know most
  380. 30:10of those people went to church?
  381. 30:13Christian churches?
  382. 30:16They could be involved in untold atrocities during the weekend, gather for worship on
  383. 30:19Sunday because they had invested into a severance of morality.
  384. 30:29They, what we were describing as biblical morality
  385. 30:33was merely a private matter in Germany.
  386. 30:36This is what their churches were teaching.
  387. 30:39But in his role, in their roles as soldiers,
  388. 30:42there was a separate morality for the state.
  389. 30:46Does anybody notice in the United States of America
  390. 30:48there's a continuous push to make
  391. 30:50faithfulness to God a private thing?
  392. 30:58Some of these church attending soldiers
  393. 31:00would say things like this.
  394. 31:04As Hermann Goring said, quote,
  395. 31:07I have no conscience.
  396. 31:09Adolf Hitler is my conscience.
  397. 31:12It is not I who live, but the fuhrer who lives in me.
  398. 31:24On August 30th, 1933, now remember, 1933, this is before the true fangs of Hitler were revealed.
  399. 31:34But on August 30th, 1933, Pastor Julius Luthers Sir gushed about Adolf Hitler.
  400. 31:40He said this quote, Christ has come to us through Hitler.
  401. 31:45Through his honesty, his faith, and his idealism, the Redeemer found us.
  402. 31:51We know today that Savior has come.
  403. 31:53We have only one task, be German, not Christian."
  404. 32:09This is what the pastor said.
  405. 32:11We have one task.
  406. 32:12See, many of us may not be aware, but Hitler presented himself to the German people as a
  407. 32:16messianic figure.
  408. 32:18He would represent himself as if he was sent to be the savior of the Germanic people.
  409. 32:27In early on, many Christians agreed with him.
  410. 32:35Erwin Lützer made this observation following this quote from Pastor, excuse me, from Pastor
  411. 32:41Julie Lertzer.
  412. 32:42Erwin Lützer said this quote, today pictures of this holy union between the German church
  413. 32:51and Hitler.
  414. 32:52Startle us, but in Hitler's day, being a good Christian involved being a good German nationalist,
  415. 32:59God and country were practically one and the same. Hitler said, if you want to serve God,
  416. 33:08you must serve the German state. I'll give you this quote. Erwin Lützer is making an observation
  417. 33:14here. Quote, the humiliating tree of Versailles, the communist and the liberal elite who believed
  418. 33:21in democracy, all of these were seen as threats to Germany's recovery. Even for those who call
  419. 33:25call themselves Christians, a strong Germany was more highly valued than a strong gospel
  420. 33:31witness. Unless the gospel, as was often the case, was reinterpreted to be a plea for loyalty
  421. 33:39to the German cause. The churches were so enamored with Hitler's successes, now this is
  422. 33:47talking about, let me explain, this is talking about soon after Hitler was made the Chancellor,
  423. 33:52and when he became Chancellor, he started making all kinds of changes that increased early
  424. 33:56on the socioeconomic status of the nation.
  425. 33:59Ermoulouza says this quote,
  426. 34:01The churches was so enamored with Hitler's successes that they did not pause to ask in
  427. 34:06whose name these benefits had come.
  428. 34:09They spoke of the political resurgence as a revival, a time of renewal and spiritual strength.
  429. 34:16The churches derived strength from the improved economy and giddy optimism about a new day
  430. 34:22for Germany.
  431. 34:25I am asking you brothers and sisters, when we are engaging, when we are defending, when
  432. 34:33we are persuading, where do our allegiances lie chiefly?
  433. 34:38It doesn't mean that there has to be a rivaling between God and America, but I can tell you
  434. 34:44this, if God and country comes up off of our tones a bit too quickly, I would urge you to
  435. 34:50to re-prioritize that to where it's God, then country.

  466. 37:01Hello Americans! I'm Todd Starns with News and commentary next.
  467. 37:05My goal as a teacher is to impart knowledge and then be able then for them to take it and
  468. 37:14turn it into wisdom. As we teach, I think, okay, five years down the road, how will the
  469. 37:20material that I am teaching them really affect their lives and their careers.

  474. 37:40The governor ordering restaurants and bars, fitness centers and churches to shut their
  475. 37:44doors.
  476. 37:45In Los Angeles County, all non-critical offices have been told to close.
  477. 37:49The governor says that's the only way to stop the spread of the China virus.
  478. 37:54Many schools will not reopen in the fall.
  479. 37:56Atlanta and New York have also decided to keep classrooms closed in Memphis.
  480. 38:01More than 70% of parents favor educating their kids at home.
  481. 38:06We are quickly approaching a dangerous point in American history where state governments
  482. 38:10are dictating how you earn your money, how you educate your kids, and how you worship.
  483. 38:15Freedom is literally under assault.
  484. 38:18the broader question Americans must now consider. How long are you willing to stay locked inside

  489. 38:46Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  490. 38:49The number to call is 888-589-8840.
  491. 38:53That number again is 888-589-8840.
  492. 38:57You are welcome to call and weigh in on today's program.
  493. 39:02And it's just one of those where I'm like,
  494. 39:05let's have a little bit of introspection
  495. 39:07because there's much about not only the fawning.
  496. 39:13I mean, the reality is people in Germany
  497. 39:15worshiped Hitler. He required worship, including many in the church, including
  498. 39:26many in the church. There's one more, I got a couple more, I got so much stuff I
  499. 39:32could share from this, but I won't have time to get to all of this. I'll share
  500. 39:38another quote with you from Erwin Luther. He wrote this, while making overtures
  501. 39:45publicly in the beginning that Hitler wanted to support the church's ability
  502. 39:54to be independent. In the beginning, he would privately have these kinds of conversations.
  503. 40:00This is what Erwin or Lutus says.
  504. 40:02Hitler spoke of both Protestants and Catholics with contempt, convinced that, and listen to
  505. 40:07this closely, convinced that all Christians would betray their God when forced, when they
  506. 40:12were forced to choose between the swastika and the cross. Hitler said this, quote, do you
  507. 40:19You really believe the masses will be Christian again?
  508. 40:22Nonsense.
  509. 40:24Never again.
  510. 40:25That tale is finished.
  511. 40:28No one will listen to it again, but we can hasten matters.
  512. 40:32The Parsons will dig their own graves.
  513. 40:35They will betray their God to us.
  514. 40:39They will betray anything for the sake of their miserable jobs and incomes."
  515. 40:45You see why I'm asking the questions that I'm asking here today?
  516. 40:54was able to seize on the Germanic people's hunger, literal hunger, seize on their desire
  517. 41:04for national identity and seize on their affinity for Hitler. Hitler's for an Alfred Rosenberg
  518. 41:26literally blasphemed the church in proposing a national Reich Church of Germany. He had a 30
  519. 41:3530-point program, but these are just a couple of the points from it that I want you to consider.
  520. 41:41Set, the National Reich Church of Germany categorically claims the exclusive right and
  521. 41:48the exclusive power to control all churches within the borders of the Reich.
  522. 41:53It declares these to be the National Churches of the German Reich.
  523. 41:56It goes on.
  524. 41:58The National Church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the
  525. 42:02Bible in Germany.
  526. 42:05The National Church declares that to it and therefore to the German nation, it has been
  527. 42:09decided that the purest mind comps is the greatest of all documents.
  528. 42:14It not only contains the greatest, but it embodies the purest and truest ethics for the present
  529. 42:20and future life of our nation.
  530. 42:24The National Church were clear away from its altars, all crucifixes, Bibles, and pictures
  531. 42:29of saints.
  532. 42:31On the altars there must be nothing but mind comps, to the germination and therefore to
  533. 42:35God the most sacred book and to the left of the altar of sword.
  534. 42:42One more.
  535. 42:43On the day of its foundation, the Christian cross must be removed from all churches, cathedrals
  536. 42:48and chapels, and it must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the swastika.
  537. 43:01You see why I'm having this conversation today?
  538. 43:04Do you see?
  539. 43:06And again, there were a minority of Catholics, there were a minority of Protestants, and
  540. 43:13who resisted Hitler. I don't want to make it like it was everybody in the church, but they were a minority.
  541. 43:20Many saw Dietrich Bonhoeffer as a troublemaker. Many saw Martin E. Moller as a troublemaker
  542. 43:32who redeemed enemies of Germany because of their resistance to Hitler's notcification of the church.
  543. 43:42And I want to reiterate, many of them, they felt the economic instability that followed World
  544. 43:54World War I.
  545. 43:55Many of them wanted protection.
  546. 44:00I had Jeff to do a little digging for me because I remember reading it.
  547. 44:05Do you realize among voters across the board in 2016, the top two issues that were issues
  548. 44:10for the voters were economic stability and national security?
  549. 44:16Now that would be one thing is that was if that was limited to voters in general.
  550. 44:19you want to know what some of the top two issues were for Christian voters in 2016,
  551. 44:23economic security, I mean economic stability and national security. Now listen,
  552. 44:30I'm a man, I'm a husband, I'm a father. I want my economics to be stable. Don't
  553. 44:35misunderstand me. And yes, you guys know how I talk about the threat to our national
  554. 44:40security. But the moment those things become equally as important to me as
  555. 44:46as religious freedom, I have a problem.
  556. 44:49Now see what I'm saying.
  557. 44:53Now before we get high in our horses,
  558. 44:55wagging our fingers at the German church,
  559. 45:01remember when I was having the conversation
  560. 45:04a couple of weeks back, maybe I don't remember the exact day,
  561. 45:06but I was talking about the normalization of Godlessness?
  562. 45:10You know, I've talked about the silent holocaust
  563. 45:17with abortion, but remember when we had the conversation,
  564. 45:21The Bible teaches us that fear of the Lord is a beginning of knowledge, right?
  565. 45:26But we have accepted as normative a standard of education that excludes the knowledge of God.
  566. 45:36And many of us, why do we do it? Because we want our children to be smart. Many of us know the God,
  567. 45:43know about the godlessness that reigns on most of the college campuses in our country. But we still
  568. 45:51So send our children with our money.
  569. 45:55Why?
  570. 45:56Because we want them to have successful life, prosperous life.
  571. 46:14Have we not witnessed what the godless brainwashing has done to our country?
  572. 46:24But we continue it.
  573. 46:26Folks, that is an example.
  574. 46:28That gives you a little indication.
  575. 46:30I still want many of, and they called them the church members who embraced and
  576. 46:39endorsed and supported the notification of the church in Germany.
  577. 46:42They called them quote German Christian, unquote.
  578. 46:47So the ones like Bonhoeffer and Nemoler and others,
  579. 46:50they weren't German Christian, but the, the mainstream,
  580. 46:53they were called German Christian. Don't get me wrong.
  581. 46:59I'm not anti education. I understand, you know,
  582. 47:05But I want you to understand.
  583. 47:09These are how these things happen.
  584. 47:11Remember when Jesus described in the parable of the soils?
  585. 47:15When he described the seed, the word that fell, that was choked,
  586. 47:24it was the cares of this night.
  587. 47:26It wasn't a full-on blitzkrieg of an assault.
  588. 47:30It was more tacit.
  589. 47:33It was more subtle.
  590. 47:35It was more, but this is important too.
  591. 47:38Which I understand these things are important, but they're not more important. They're not more important
  592. 47:46I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we were talking about the wicked BLM organization, right?
  593. 47:54And I asked him I said now if there was an organization
  594. 47:59That's that said they wanted to do a feeding program, but you knew it was a Nazi program
  595. 48:05Would you spout Nazi phrases just so you can get your children in neighborhood fed?
  596. 48:10He said no. I said then why would you spot Marxist phrases? They have told us that
  597. 48:21they're trained Marxists. They have written about their Marxism on their
  598. 48:29website. Yet our nation is bending over backwards right now to try to prove that
  599. 48:37it's like it's like I'm not a partial I'm not partial tag right? Man if you're not
  600. 48:43partial why do you have to prove it to anybody? What I'm saying folks you have
  601. 48:49these subtle incursions, these subtle incursions, these subtle incursions until they're no longer
  602. 48:56subtle, until they're no longer subtle. Think about how for generations in our own nation,
  603. 49:12instead of the church standing up with one voice condemning the subjugation of fellow
  604. 49:17image bearers, you had a church split and I can tell you much of the concern was not theological.
  605. 49:27It was economic.
  606. 49:33I'm not trying to start a pot.
  607. 49:34I just want you to understand.
  608. 49:36It was economic.
  609. 49:38But you had an entire secession that was so potent
  610. 49:46that today you'll have people that would say,
  611. 49:48oh Abraham the Civil War wasn't about slavery.
  612. 49:52It was about states rights.
  613. 49:57States rights to do what?
  614. 50:01So it had nothing to do with it.
  615. 50:04Then if that's the case, and I remember I asked this question,
  616. 50:06if that's the case, then if slavery had nothing
  617. 50:08to do with the Civil War, then why?
  618. 50:11Was Jim Crow such an immediate response
  619. 50:14once Southerners were able to reestablish themselves
  620. 50:17in authority in the South?
  621. 50:19Did Jim Crow just spring out of nowhere?
  622. 50:24Did Vice President of the Confederacy,
  623. 50:31Stevens just happen to make up that it was the only nation
  624. 50:34that would be built on the cornerstone
  625. 50:39that the so-called white man was superior
  626. 50:42to the so-called black man?
  627. 50:43Did he just make that up?
  628. 50:51Folks, what I'm talking about, what I'm talking about,
  629. 50:54and I know I gave the phone number,
  630. 50:56I'm not gonna get to, I'm not gonna have time for call.
  631. 50:59I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
  632. 51:03But I want you to understand,
  633. 51:05I want you to understand,
  634. 51:06the encroachments are never a blitzkrieg initially.
  635. 51:10They're always incremental
  636. 51:14to the point where they're nearly imperceptible.
  637. 51:17And then the next thing you know, you have Jim Crow.
  638. 51:24The next thing you know, you have German Christianity.
  639. 51:27The next thing you know,
  640. 51:28you have Dean Bonhoeffer, an enemy
  641. 51:32of German Christianity.
  642. 51:38It doesn't mean that economics is not important,
  643. 51:41but economics are not more important than the Lord.
  644. 51:44You had German theologians who argued
  645. 51:48for eliminating the Old Testament
  646. 51:50because of its Jewish influence
  647. 51:53and described Apostle Paul's teaching
  648. 51:55as a perversion of Christianity.
  649. 52:02You had German Christians who,
  650. 52:05in spite of Bonhoeffer's pleading with them,
  651. 52:12They would sign documents of allegiance to Adolf Hitler
  652. 52:22because they did not want the greatness to serve.
  653. 52:32And in case you haven't noticed yet,
  654. 52:35things are getting hot in our own country
  655. 52:39against the cross of crime.
  656. 52:45And my question for the remnant,
  657. 52:47this is a real question for the remnant,
  658. 52:50is will we be able to stand, or will we be like those
  659. 52:55who Jesus discussed, who received the word with joy,
  660. 52:59The receptivity was merely emotional
  661. 53:03but having no root so that when persecution comes,
  662. 53:07because of the word, because of the word,
  663. 53:14they were not able to stand.
  664. 53:19What I'm saying folks is that if we find ourselves
  665. 53:25saying we are standing for God and country,
  666. 53:27a little too quickly together,
  667. 53:28I would encourage you to slow that down.
  668. 53:31I love this country.
  669. 53:34I will continue to fight for this country,
  670. 53:36but this country is not my God.
  671. 53:38And guess what?
  672. 53:39The moment this country
  673. 53:43can turn this ire on the truth of what my God preaches,
  674. 53:47guess what you will find me?
  675. 53:49My God's grace.
  676. 53:51I'm not trying to talk like I'm some big guy,
  677. 53:53but I'm saying by God's grace,
  678. 53:54may I be found standing on his word.
  679. 53:58Because if you haven't noticed yet,
  680. 54:00homosexuality's being mainstreamed,
  681. 54:02abortion has been mainstreamed,
  682. 54:04a whole lot of other things have been mainstreamed,
  683. 54:06but where will we stand?
