  10. 0:28and now, The Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Well, good evening America, Alex McFarland here,
  12. 0:36you know, in times like these watching the news
  13. 0:39in the world around us, it can perhaps be agonizing,
  14. 0:42but for a guy like me that gets opportunity to do radio
  15. 0:47and comment on the news and have very insightful guests
  16. 0:52to help analyze the world around us,
  17. 0:54it's actually somewhat gratifying,
  18. 0:57and I welcome you to The Hamilton Corner,
  19. 0:58attorney, pastor, journalist Abe Hamilton is traveling and I have the privilege of sitting
  20. 1:04in as I very often do.
  21. 1:06And there's so much in the news.
  22. 1:08It just seems, you know, I was at the RNC and I've commented on that two weeks ago in
  23. 1:14Milwaukee.
  24. 1:15I was there for the RNC and had a 30 minute conversation, great meeting with Eric Trump
  25. 1:23and Laura Trump and Mayor Giuliani and Cory Lewandowski that was Trump's first campaign
  26. 1:28manager, interviewed Michael and Dale and quite a number of elected officials, Ben Carson,
  27. 1:35that I've had the privilege of knowing for a long time because we do care about the state
  28. 1:40of the country.
  29. 1:42And one of the issues that I have commented on much in recent months has been the rise and
  30. 1:49the toleration in America of anti-Semitism.
  31. 1:54And so last week when Benjamin Netanyahu spoke
  32. 1:58in Washington, presumptive nominee for the Democrat side,
  33. 2:02Kamala Harris was not there.
  34. 2:05But someone who was there that I'm just so privileged
  35. 2:08to be able to call on short notice
  36. 2:11and really pick their brain.
  37. 2:12It's my friend, E.J. Kimball of combat anti-Semitism,
  38. 2:16which is a great organization.
  39. 2:18And I want to get his take on what's going on at least in terms
  40. 2:23of Israel, the Middle East, combating Hamas terrorism,
  41. 2:28but also hearing about the latest
  42. 2:30from the Organization Combat Antisemitism.
  43. 2:34He's with us now, E.J. Kimball.
  44. 2:36Thank you again for making time to join us
  45. 2:38on the American Family Radio Network.
  46. 2:41Alex, it's always great for you to be with you
  47. 2:44and to talk about, unfortunately,
  48. 2:46these dangerous times that we live in,
  49. 2:48but the importance of bringing this information to the people
  50. 2:53so that they understand what's going on.
  51. 2:56Indeed, before we get into some of the issues,
  52. 2:59I want you to give your website out
  53. 3:02and we'll repeat this in the broadcast,
  54. 3:04but what is the organization
  55. 3:07that you represent combat antisemitism?
  56. 3:11Yeah, so we are the combat antisemitism movement.
  57. 3:16you can visit us at combatantismetism.org.
  58. 3:20We're a network of over 850 organizations
  59. 3:24that have partnered together, including you, Alex,
  60. 3:27in this effort to combat the world's oldest hatred.
  61. 3:32And unfortunately, today we are seeing it rising up
  62. 3:36and getting mainstreamed,
  63. 3:38which has only made our work that much more important.
  64. 3:41So that's combatantismetism.org.
  65. 3:46Yeah, and you and I have talked about this on numerous occasions, but it really has made
  66. 3:51my heart heavy.
  67. 3:53It's, E.J., it's really a combination of grief and shock.
  68. 3:58Look, I know, especially in academia, because I've spent a lot of my adult life as a college
  69. 4:04professor.
  70. 4:06And I know in American academia, there's not a lot of support for the nation of Israel because
  71. 4:13There's not a lot of people that recognize the historicity of Israel and what we read
  72. 4:20in the Scriptures about the nation of Israel.
  73. 4:24But I got to tell you, since October of 23 and the terrorist attacks, I have been shocked,
  74. 4:34I mean speechless at not only how, and I'm going to use the term because it's the right
  75. 4:41Jew hatred sadly not only has it been tolerated exacerbated even encouraged
  76. 4:50have you been shocked at just the the the toleration and and almost celebration
  77. 4:58of Jew hatred since last fall.
  78. 5:02Daddly I have not been shocked but many of my friends have been shocked and that
  79. 5:10It also includes people who have recognized the growing danger.
  80. 5:17Because I've been deeply embedded in looking at what's going on around the country and working
  81. 5:25in this space for so long, the seeds have been germinating for years.
  82. 5:31October 7th was sort of a, it wasn't just this attack that Famas launched against Israel
  83. 5:42and the Jewish people.
  84. 5:43It was also an attack that went against Jews around the world while it has not manifested
  85. 5:50significantly in a violent way, and I preface significantly in a violent way because there
  86. 5:56has been violence, but the antagonism and threatening nature of these movements, not
  87. 6:05pro-Palestinian protesters who are protesting for Palestinian rights, but these are pro-Hamas
  88. 6:12protesters.
  89. 6:13They are supporting Hamas and what Hamas sought to do against Israel.
  90. 6:17They're supporting Hezbollah and what Hezbollah seeks to do against Israel in the wrong.
  91. 6:23That is what these protest movements and what has happened on college campuses has been
  92. 6:28brewing for years.
  93. 6:31I'm talking years meaning like decades that has been brewing there.
  94. 6:36After October 7th it exploded.
  95. 6:41This was not just about Jew hatred.
  96. 6:43This was also about anti-Americanism and American support for Israel and the Jewish people.
  97. 6:53I am not shocked by what I saw.
  98. 6:56It is disheartening to see in many cases, cowardice,
  99. 7:03by those who should be in positions of leadership,
  100. 7:07stepping in and doing what they should be doing
  101. 7:10and stopping it.
  102. 7:11That has been the most concerning aspect of it for me.
  103. 7:15Yeah, and cowardice, I mean, that's the appropriate word
  104. 7:19because to be on record unequivocally,
  105. 7:22and not equivocating well this, but maybe, no, it is wrong. And it's a puzzlement to me,
  106. 7:30E.J., that in this world, I mean, we've for years social justice, equality, anti-racism.
  107. 7:37This is the racism that gets sanctioning by, you know, American academia, celebrities,
  108. 7:47Patriot of Jewish people, not acknowledging Israel's right to self-defense.
  109. 7:53I was just blown away the disrespect, not to mention inaccuracy when Prime Minister Benjamin
  110. 8:03Netanyahu was speaking that Tlaib of the squad was holding up a little placard that said war
  111. 8:10criminal.
  112. 8:12I mean, that's ludicrous.
  113. 8:16Folks, this is why, look, be a person of conviction, be a person of courage, be able,
  114. 8:22every listener, to be able to unequivocally say, now I stand for the rights of the Jewish
  115. 8:28people.
  116. 8:29I stand for the nation of Israel, for self-determination.
  117. 8:33It's a sovereign nation.
  118. 8:34It's our longest ally and our only stable, dependable friend in the Middle East.
  119. 8:39EJ, I thought it was moving.
  120. 8:41I was in a car, I pulled over, I listened on the radio,
  121. 8:45and Netanyahu was very clear.
  122. 8:47He said, regardless of who is elected,
  123. 8:52America and Israel have been friends,
  124. 8:55and we will be your friend.
  125. 8:56I thought that was quite moving.
  126. 9:00And look, I'm on record, I'm voting Republican,
  127. 9:05and I wanna talk about the RNC,
  128. 9:07and a group that I spoke with, Jews for Trump.
  129. 9:12But I thought it was very magnanimous
  130. 9:16that he was on record saying,
  131. 9:18regardless of who occupies the Oval Office,
  132. 9:23Israel plans to be America's friend,
  133. 9:26even if America is not the friend that we should be.
  134. 9:31That was pretty powerful, wasn't it?
  135. 9:35Well, the whole speech, I was very fortunate enough to be in that, in the gallery, watching
  136. 9:42his speech.
  137. 9:44And even just being there in the energy in that room and the emotion when he recognized
  138. 9:55the different IDF soldiers, one who was Ethiopian family came from Ethiopia on October 7th,
  139. 10:04He heard what was going on.
  140. 10:07He put on his shoes.
  141. 10:08He put on, grabbed his gun in uniform.
  142. 10:10He didn't have a car.
  143. 10:12So what did he do?
  144. 10:13He ran eight miles to go fight.
  145. 10:18And just seeing the valor that these,
  146. 10:22I mean, someone who lost vision in,
  147. 10:27I believe his right eye and lost his left arm
  148. 10:30and is about to return as a commander.
  149. 10:32I mean, that is the heart of the Israeli army, who is fighting for survival on behalf of
  150. 10:43civilization.
  151. 10:44And the Prime Minister nailed it, where he said, this is not a clash of civilizations.
  152. 10:49This is a clash of civilization versus barbarism.
  153. 10:53Yes.
  154. 10:54So if people can recognize that, there is no question what side the world should be on.
  155. 11:02There is no two sides to this war.
  156. 11:06It is either the side of civilization or you're on the side of barbarism.
  157. 11:11And the speech went over well, and there were some members of Congress who do not like the
  158. 11:16Prime Minister, who were there, who are not fans of what Israel is doing, who were there,
  159. 11:23and they were respectful.
  160. 11:25And I even watched them have time stood up and cheered and clapped, not all the time, but
  161. 11:30some of the time.
  162. 11:31And it shows the strength of the US-Israel relationship, and even in the Democratic Party,
  163. 11:38which is having a challenge right now, I think, is a mild way of putting it.
  164. 11:45What the Prime Minister made the point is, if this becomes a partisan issue where only
  165. 11:51one party supports Israel, that is not going to just be dangerous for Israel.
  166. 11:56That's going to be extremely dangerous for the United States of America because our enemies
  167. 12:01are the same enemy as Israel's enemies.
  168. 12:05For those just tuning in, Alex McFarlane here
  169. 12:07with our frequent guest and colleague and friend,
  170. 12:11E.J. Kimball, of the combat anti-Semitism movement.
  171. 12:16And we've got a lot to talk about.
  172. 12:18But E.J., I would ask you, what would you
  173. 12:21like the average American to know who, I mean,
  174. 12:25when you hear about anti-Semitism and abandonment
  175. 12:29of standing with Israel and somebody says, well, I'm aware of this, but that doesn't really
  176. 12:35touch my life.
  177. 12:36So I'm not terribly invested in that issue because it doesn't really involve me.
  178. 12:42I would argue it does.
  179. 12:44To the person who's non-committal, what would you say?
  180. 12:51I would tell them that there is no non-committal.
  181. 12:56Once you are aware of what is going on, if you choose to ignore it, you are being complicit.
  182. 13:05Now, look, if you don't understand it, I've run into people who are not very religious,
  183. 13:13certainly not Jewish, and I would say about four months after October 7, they really
  184. 13:20had no idea what was going on.
  185. 13:22But then they actually, when they were surprised to hear it from me, they did some research
  186. 13:27and they were shocked because they just didn't know.
  187. 13:30But now that they know that you have to act and if you don't act, you are complicit.
  188. 13:37There is no neutral party in this matter.
  189. 13:44And if you believe in God, if you believe in good versus evil and you don't act, you
  190. 13:54You are helping the other side.
  191. 13:56Your silence is complicity.
  192. 13:59And I'll give you one little anecdote.
  193. 14:03I've been wearing a yellow ribbon pin, symbolizing the hostages, including American hostages
  194. 14:12that are held by Hamas.
  195. 14:14And I wear it on my lapel every time I've got my jacket on.
  196. 14:18And I went to a meeting in Washington, D.C., you know, building and the person, the security
  197. 14:25guard, was looked at it and asked me what that was and I said it's for the hostages.
  198. 14:30He said I thought that was.
  199. 14:31I haven't seen anyone wearing it.
  200. 14:33E.J., forgive me.
  201. 14:34We've only had about 20 seconds to the break.
  202. 14:38You're going to have to conclude this story after this break and I beg your forgiveness,
  203. 14:41but folks, we've got a brief little intermission here.
  204. 14:44Alex McFarland, this is the American Family Radio Network.
  205. 14:47will continue much more on this edition of the Hamilton
  206. 14:51Corner with E.J. Kimball, Carl Kirby, and more.
  207. 14:53Stay tuned.
  208. 14:54We're back after this brief break.
  209. 15:00You've heard a lot about saving babies on this show.
  210. 15:02That's because it's important to me personally.
  211. 15:04And let me just be frank with you.
  212. 15:06We need to save them.
  213. 15:08That's why we've partnered with Preborn, the nation's leader,
  214. 15:11in introducing mothers with unplanned pregnancies
  215. 15:13to their babies.
  216. 15:15And once she hears that heartbeat and sees that precious life
  217. 15:18growing inside of her, she is twice as likely
  218. 15:20to choose life. Now that's a miracle. But quite honestly, if we don't save them, who will?
  219. 15:27Preborn receives no government funding so their work is completely dependent on us. Preborn
  220. 15:32has rescued over 280,000 babies, and that's not all. They provide love, support, and counseling
  221. 15:38for up to two years for free, saving lives and souls. One ultrasound is just $28 or $140
  222. 15:47helps to rescue five babies' lives.
  223. 15:49Abortion doesn't stop, so we can't.
  224. 15:52Together, you and I can save lives.
  225. 15:54Just dial pound 250 on your cell
  226. 15:57and say the key word baby.
  227. 15:59That's 250 baby.
  228. 16:00Or go to preborn.com.
  229. 16:02That's preborn.com.
  230. 16:10Shiting light into the darkness.
  231. 16:12This is the Hamilton Quarter, on American Family Radio.
  232. 16:17Welcome back to the program.
  233. 16:19Alex McRond here, very honored to be sitting in
  234. 16:21for attorney and pastor Abe Hamilton,
  235. 16:24my guest on the phone, E.J. Kimball,
  236. 16:26of the Combat Antisemitism Movement.
  237. 16:30E.J. before the break,
  238. 16:31you were talking about wearing a yellow ribbon
  239. 16:34to show solidarity for the hostages
  240. 16:37and finish that story, if you would.
  241. 16:40Yeah, so I was saying I went to a meeting
  242. 16:43in an office building in D.C. with the ribbon on,
  243. 16:46and the security guard asked me what it was for.
  244. 16:49And I confirmed that it was for the hostages, including the American hostages.
  245. 16:55And he said that he hadn't seen anyone wearing it in the building, and then he pulls out a
  246. 17:00chain necklace that he was wearing that was tucked into a shirt that had a star of David
  247. 17:07with a cross in the middle.
  248. 17:09And he said that he's a Christian, and he supports and loves Israel and the Jewish people.
  249. 17:14And I said to him, I urged him.
  250. 17:17I said, don't hide it.
  251. 17:19Wear it out because there are so many people
  252. 17:22who are on the right side,
  253. 17:25but because of how strong and vocal the opposition is,
  254. 17:29these protesters that are out there
  255. 17:31and threatening Jews and their supporters,
  256. 17:34we need to show solidarity and show the power
  257. 17:37of the numbers who actually are on the right side
  258. 17:40of this issue.
  259. 17:40So I really urge people not to be afraid
  260. 17:44to stand up and speak the truth.
  261. 17:47Well, indeed, indeed, and all of us should and folks, I'm going to say this, that the way
  262. 17:54that Kamala Harris wouldn't attend Benjamin Netanyahu's recent visit to Washington in that
  263. 18:02speech, you know, that to me, that would have been low hanging fruit as an aspiring presidential
  264. 18:12candidate to go.
  265. 18:13I mean, the fact that she didn't go and went to something, a very superficial event that
  266. 18:20she could do anytime, that says a lot.
  267. 18:24And I frankly, I hope it influences a lot of people in the way they vote.
  268. 18:32Let me ask you this.
  269. 18:34Do you think that Prime Minister Netanyahu, I mean, the fact that Kamala Harris, the candidate
  270. 18:42for the Democrat Party, wouldn't even acknowledge his presence in Washington. What do you think
  271. 18:52that message sends to him?
  272. 18:55Well, I think the fact that she did not preside over that joint session of Congress for his
  273. 19:03that joint meeting of Congress for the Prime Minister's address, which is part of her constitutional
  274. 19:09duties as president, not just as vice president of the United States, but also president of
  275. 19:13the Senate was a striking message about her policy on Israel.
  276. 19:20And you can excuse it as politics, but that's the whole point is if you're excusing it, then
  277. 19:26you're allowing it.
  278. 19:28And another thing that has not gotten a lot of attention, but typically when a head of
  279. 19:33state, a foreign head of state is in Washington, D.C., they line the streets of Pennsylvania
  280. 19:39Avenue and the White House with the flags of that country.
  281. 19:43And they didn't do that.
  282. 19:45And this is typical of what's happening in this country.
  283. 19:48When any minority group is threatened, when the Black community is Hispanic, Asian-American,
  284. 19:54any of these communities are threatened, everyone stands up for their rights.
  285. 19:58Everyone is out on the streets.
  286. 19:59When a country has been attacked, you see the support, their flag is waving.
  287. 20:04But when it comes to Jews or it comes to the Jewish state, that's where they draw the line.
  288. 20:12So when the leader of the Jewish state of Israel comes to Washington, because there's
  289. 20:17going to be protesters who may try to rip down these flags and as we saw, be face federal
  290. 20:23property, instead of holding them accountable to the full extent of the law, we then go over
  291. 20:29backwards to give them the ability to impact how we actually act, to impact our freedoms,
  292. 20:38to run our country the way that we are supposed to do it.
  293. 20:41And that's the danger of this type of behavior
  294. 20:46where it's normalizing this Jew hatred.
  295. 20:49As you say, and I'm glad that you use that word,
  296. 20:51not anti-Semitism because that's too hard to understand.
  297. 20:55Jew hatred is what it is.
  298. 20:57And that is the danger that we face today.
  299. 21:00And until people start standing up and our media
  300. 21:02starts calling it out for what it is
  301. 21:05and stops holding everything to a double standard
  302. 21:08when it comes to Jews, and they don't have to mention
  303. 21:11Islamophobia whenever there's an attack on Jews
  304. 21:14that's anti-Semitism.
  305. 21:16Anti-Semitism, Jew hatred, can stand on its own
  306. 21:20and can be addressed individually
  307. 21:24before we deal with other problems,
  308. 21:26because that is the biggest problem we face today.
  309. 21:30Yeah, and I mean, it really does show
  310. 21:33that we're in a battle of worldview.
  311. 21:35It shows the spiritual dynamics.
  312. 21:37Like you say, like Netanyahu said, this is civilization versus barbarism.
  313. 21:45This is dark versus light.
  314. 21:47This is good versus evil.
  315. 21:49And folks, I would just beg of you to have the courage and the conviction to take a stand,
  316. 21:55the Bible Psalm 122 verse 6 says that we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
  317. 22:02EJ when I was at the RNC and there was a group of, I'm going to say at least two dozen men,
  318. 22:09obviously Orthodox Jewish men, and they were holding up signs that said Jews for Trump.
  319. 22:14And I went over there and I was talking with them, just wonderful people.
  320. 22:18And I said, just for the record, and they asked me, they said, what organization are you
  321. 22:24with?
  322. 22:25And I was there doing media for the American Family Association and also VCY television.
  323. 22:31And I said, just for the record categorically, we stand with Israel, we stand against hatred
  324. 22:38of the Jewish people.
  325. 22:40And I mean, they were very moved.
  326. 22:42And one Jewish man, he said, son, you're on the right side of history and you're on
  327. 22:48God's side.
  328. 22:49And I said, well, blessings to you as well.
  329. 22:53But for one thing, and not to be partisan because look, this is human rights.
  330. 23:00This is what is morally right.
  331. 23:02Do you think that the way the Democrat leaders, not all, but almost all, have stood with terrorism
  332. 23:14and not stood for Israel, not condemned anti-Semitism?
  333. 23:19EJ, do you think that really, I don't mean to generalize, but in general, the Democrat
  334. 23:30party has had the jewish vote to a large degree in america
  335. 23:35did you think that's going to really change
  336. 23:37i i personally think it is but what do you think i i think it
  337. 23:41i think it may and i watch the republican convention i plan to watch the
  338. 23:46democratic convention
  339. 23:47and what me truck me about the republican convention
  340. 23:51was the amount of american flags israeli flag to talk about returning the
  341. 23:56the hostages, support for Israel, and I'm going to be very focused in on how that plays
  342. 24:03out in Chicago for the Democratic Convention, because that will tell you what you need to
  343. 24:07know about where the party stands.
  344. 24:10Yeah.
  345. 24:11Well, and let me say this, I heard Donald Trump speak in February, and he was introduced, I
  346. 24:15was in Nashville at a meeting with about 2,000 faith leaders, Christian leaders, and you may
  347. 24:23have been there.
  348. 24:24Were you there at the NRB when Trump spoke?
  349. 24:28I was at the NRB, but I was not there when he spoke.
  350. 24:31Well, he was introduced by David Friedman, of whom you may know.
  351. 24:36And was he the U.S. ambassador to Israel during the Trump years?
  352. 24:42Was that his role?
  353. 24:43Yes.
  354. 24:44Yes, that was.
  355. 24:45And David Friedman came out to thunderous applause, but he introduced Donald Trump and
  356. 24:52And he said, you know, I think we all know this is pretty much verbatim, had Donald Trump
  357. 24:58been in office, the terrorist attacks of October 7th would not have happened.
  358. 25:04And I agree.
  359. 25:06And so my goodness, you know, we're talking about a lot of things here, folks, and we're
  360. 25:14talking about terrorists being emboldened, terrorists feeling like they've got a green
  361. 25:20light to further jeopardize not only the safety of Israel, but the West in general.
  362. 25:30Look, I realize that it's a very volatile time in which we live, but correct me if I'm wrong,
  363. 25:38I really think allowing racism against Jews and allowing, you know, giving terrorists a
  364. 25:48to free pass to attack Israel, that really does jeopardize the safety and the stability
  365. 25:53of the entire world.
  366. 25:57I will agree with that.
  367. 25:59The most important thing that we can see a difference in the recent administration, there's
  368. 26:05a difference of belief in this was with President Obama and President Biden versus President
  369. 26:12Trump and President George W. Bush, that there's a belief that if there is space between the
  370. 26:19the US and Israel, that will help Israel make the tough decisions to bring about peace.
  371. 26:26There's that theory which I completely disagree with and it leads to their enemies feeling emboldened.
  372. 26:33When you saw President Trump and President George W. Bush who maintained no space in that relationship,
  373. 26:40Israel was strong, its enemies speared them.
  374. 26:44If they did attack, Israel responded harshly and quickly and pushed them back.
  375. 26:50And that is the important message that this next administration needs to be hand in hand.
  376. 27:00When President Biden said an iron-clad relationship, it needs to actually be iron-clad.
  377. 27:06Wow.
  378. 27:10And by the way, folks, in March of 26, I'll be helping to lead a tour to Israel.
  379. 27:17And I want to encourage people to go to Israel.
  380. 27:21You will be safe there.
  381. 27:22I was there for 11 days, and I felt absolutely safe.
  382. 27:27E.J., one thing that I think is important and not only is it a spiritual experience, but
  383. 27:34it will just help you understand just what a beautiful nation it is.
  384. 27:40is contrasted with you look across the Kedron Valley and it's pretty bleak. It is important
  385. 27:48in talking about our relationship that people go to Israel and people visit and see that
  386. 27:54nation and I think their feelings of solidarity will only increase if they do.
  387. 28:01A hundred percent correct if you're thinking about visiting Israel, go. There's no better
  388. 28:08time to be there than now.
  389. 28:12The country needs the visitors.
  390. 28:13I mean, the tourism industry is what helps drive that country's economy.
  391. 28:18It's very important for people to visit, but also the spiritual basis of being in Israel
  392. 28:23and actually seeing these areas.
  393. 28:27And bearing witness to the atrocities on October 7th will change you.
  394. 28:32Whether you watch the videos or physically go to the Nova Festival site, to the Kibbut
  395. 28:37seen in the south, visiting with residents from the north that have been out of their
  396. 28:43homes almost this entire war.
  397. 28:47Because on October 8, the day after Hezbollah started firing rockets at Israel.
  398. 28:52So to be there and to talk to the people there and to understand what they're going through,
  399. 28:58the world doesn't care about what's happening in Israel.
  400. 29:01But there's 100,000 internally displaced Israelis and not just Jews.
  401. 29:09These are Muslims, these are Christians, these are people of all faiths, ethnicities.
  402. 29:17Israel is not a white country of Jews.
  403. 29:20It is a mixture, primarily Jews, but it is a mixture of all religions that live side by
  404. 29:26side in peace.
  405. 29:28And that's the message that the world has not been sharing and not recognizing.
  406. 29:35And it is vitally important for people to support Israel and to visit.
  407. 29:41EJ Kimball, we appreciate you so much and we've got to change gears here.
  408. 29:44But before we do, give us your website again, please.

  418. 30:15and bring on another colleague and friend.
  419. 30:18By the way, I want to make an announcement
  420. 30:20before I really change gears.
  421. 30:22On my own website, we have got a page

  425. 30:34If you're a first time voter, or maybe you haven't voted,
  426. 30:38I talked to a man last night, 24 hours ago,
  427. 30:40I was having dinner with an individual.
  428. 30:42He said, Alex, I've never voted,
  429. 30:45but because you insist on it, I registered, I'm gonna vote.
  430. 30:48So there are a lot of things at play
  431. 30:51and religious freedom, so many things
  432. 30:54that hang in the balance, our nation with relationship
  433. 30:57with Israel, by the way.
  434. 30:59So check out AlexMcFarlane.com slash vote.
  435. 31:03Well, folks, a longtime colleague and friend is Carl Kirby.
  436. 31:07He is the leader of Reasons for Hope, a ministry
  437. 31:11that I have the privilege of collaborating with
  438. 31:14on a lot of levels.
  439. 31:15And it's been a great summer because at youth camps,
  440. 31:19all summer long, I've seen Carl Kirby.
  441. 31:21He's with us now for a few moments.
  442. 31:23Carl, welcome. Thanks for holding in. Welcome to the American Family Radio Network.
  443. 31:28Alex, thank you for letting me be here. It's a blessing always to get to speak with you.
  444. 31:34Well, hey, the 10th Commandment says thou shalt not covet, but every time I see the debunked
  445. 31:40videos that you make, I'm jealous because, you know, we make some videos. We put some things
  446. 31:46on social media. But you guys, you do stuff that is like world class quality and graphics.
  447. 31:55But I'm not too jealous. I'm happy because you make all these debunked videos that address
  448. 32:02issues like, you know, moral issues, evolution, the truth of the Bible. We got a break, but
  449. 32:09we're going to unpack this and get into this. Carl, what is your website? What is your app?
  450. 32:15Where can people find the debunked videos?
  451. 32:45it there and when we come back I'll tell people how they can even get the ones
  452. 32:48we're getting ready to release early before we release into the general public.
  453. 32:52Yay, hold that thought. It's Carl Kirby, Alex McFarland on AFR. A brief break, we'll
  454. 32:58be back after this. Don't go away.
  455. 33:00The Hamilton Quarter podcast and one-minute commentaries are available at
  456. 33:14AFR.net. Back to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  457. 33:19Welcome back to the program. We're talking with Carl Kirby, a long-time friend in
  458. 33:25colleague. And Carl and I, we share a real passion for reaching young people. And we also
  459. 33:31share the conviction that one of the most powerful ways to share the gospel in this day and age
  460. 33:37is using apologetics. And Carl, I don't know if I've ever asked you this, but how did you
  461. 33:43get into apologetics? You know, I had no clue what it was, Alex. I got
  462. 33:49saved as a brand new Christian. And I was passionate about my faith. I was sharing it.
  463. 33:54but I really didn't have an understanding of the Word of God.
  464. 33:58And so the Bible was just to me, the good book,
  465. 34:00you know, like I got saved at 26,
  466. 34:03and I had grown up in church and I knew ritual.
  467. 34:06I knew stand-up, sit down, kneel.
  468. 34:08I knew when the offering plate was coming.
  469. 34:09So I knew ritual, but I didn't know Jesus.
  470. 34:11So I get saved and I'm passionate
  471. 34:13and I'm telling people about Jesus,
  472. 34:15but I'm in, I was an air traffic controller for a long time.
  473. 34:18And so I was riding in the continent of an aircraft
  474. 34:20for training.
  475. 34:22This is all pre-9-11 when you could do that kind of a thing.
  476. 34:24I witnessed the pilot and the co-pilot, they both turned out to be Christians.
  477. 34:29They started talking about evolution and I told them what my first Sunday school teacher
  478. 34:33taught me, which was you take evolution, you put it in the Bible, God used it, God directed
  479. 34:37it.
  480. 34:38It's the same sequence.
  481. 34:39The co-pilot corrected me.
  482. 34:41He lovingly turned around and said, Carl, I'm sorry, but that's incorrect.
  483. 34:45He took the Bible out and he went through Genesis 1 and he said, here's a dozen work, doesn't
  484. 34:52work, doesn't work.
  485. 34:53I was blown out of the water.
  486. 34:54I had never seen anybody use the Bible like that.
  487. 34:57I grew up with, well, I think I think I think, you know, people always telling you that.
  488. 35:00And if you push them, they might show you a Bible verse somewhere, but then you read
  489. 35:03that Bible verse and say, well, you can take that a couple of three ways.
  490. 35:06This guy used a Bible as an authority.
  491. 35:09And he introduced me, I said, where'd you learn to think like that?
  492. 35:11And he introduced me to a book that when I got back, I got saved in Salt Lake City,
  493. 35:16and I was flying out to Portland, Oregon.
  494. 35:18When I got back to Salt Lake City, I ordered that book.
  495. 35:20I read it when I got it. I read it one night. I am 80 D to the max if you didn't you couldn't tell and
  496. 35:27Amen when you hook me I hyper focus everything disappears. I read it in one night and I was like this is it
  497. 35:33This is why I never trusted the Bible
  498. 35:36Because it was I look it's a good book, but I've got to ask this
  499. 35:40But it doesn't mean that and man after I saw that you could trust the Bible is real my whole faith change
  500. 35:46So apologetics was introduced to me by two pilots in a cockpit
  501. 35:49Wow. And what book was that that really arrested your attention so strongly? It
  502. 35:55was called The Lie Evolution by Ken Ham who I then started working with him and
  503. 36:01he was my mentor. I traveled with him and was with him for over 20 years and he's
  504. 36:05the reason I'm in ministry today. You know it's interesting because I got saved
  505. 36:11when I was 21, I was in college and two books that really got me on the
  506. 36:17apologetics track were by Josh McDowell evidence that demands a verdict and more than a carpenter
  507. 36:23But you know the funny thing Carl I guess I was a believer
  508. 36:27I don't know probably like a few weeks and I was it was a Wednesday night
  509. 36:31I was going to church because the church where I became a Christian
  510. 36:35Had a Wednesday night service and I was thinking and I'm a college student and I was like I wonder where dinosaurs fit in the Bible
  511. 36:44It didn't take me long and I probably couldn't have phrased it, but I realized, wait a minute,
  512. 36:54Genesis and what I've been taught in science class, middle school, high school, college,
  513. 37:00they can't both be true.
  514. 37:04Amen.
  515. 37:05That's a fact, isn't it?
  516. 37:06Look, it was either Moses or Darwin, but they can't both be right, can they?
  517. 37:12Amen.
  518. 37:13the youth yesterday or last night and then again this morning
  519. 37:16a medicare match at a camp right now
  520. 37:18out in the cedar falls iowa
  521. 37:20and last night we did the talk
  522. 37:23uh... is genesis important
  523. 37:25and here's a point that i make come
  524. 37:27uh... there's a movie it's a science fiction movie
  525. 37:29called uh... the fifth wave and in the fifth way this young lady writes in her
  526. 37:33diary
  527. 37:35you know you have to read the humans
  528. 37:39or how do you read the earth of humans
  529. 37:42you rid them of their humanity because everybody's turned against each other
  530. 37:46and you know it's just as the horrible battlefield anymore right it's not
  531. 37:49fiction
  532. 37:50and here's a thing that struck me on that
  533. 37:53well if you want to read earth of human to rid them of their humanity how do
  534. 37:56you read them of their humanity
  535. 37:57it is very simple
  536. 37:59rid them of their history
  537. 38:00and if you replace their history that in the beginning got created them and you
  538. 38:04are created in the image of god you are fearfully wonderfully made
  539. 38:07the god loves you so much to see major in his image
  540. 38:10that he came and he died on a cross for you and you replaced that history with over the
  541. 38:13course of 14 billion years, nothing turned into something to turn into everything that we see.
  542. 38:18That's absolutely the way that you rid earth and humans of their humanity.
  543. 38:24You replaced their history.
  544. 38:25And so I went through that last night and then showed them the consequences of removing God
  545. 38:31from your history.
  546. 38:32If Genesis isn't true and you weren't created the way that God said that you were created
  547. 38:36and this worldview is true, then we see this, this, this, and this and now look at the lives
  548. 38:40we see suicide number one killer now they'll see number two no it is number one
  549. 38:45because it classified as accidents and accidents is the number one killer of
  550. 38:48teenagers in america the most christian nation on the planet
  551. 38:51they're like how can that be how can you have such hopelessness
  552. 38:56you can have that if you know who you are in christ and so this is why i say
  553. 39:00it has been very smart let me change their history
  554. 39:03and then you can destroy their future
  555. 39:06you know carl i was working on an article for uh... a book
  556. 39:10and uh... last week the cdc says that of ninth
  557. 39:14through twelfth graders
  558. 39:16ten percent
  559. 39:17have attempted suicide in the last twelve months
  560. 39:20is that so crazy
  561. 39:22yet and hard
  562. 39:24and and and and and and i think that we talked to these kids and let them know
  563. 39:27who they are
  564. 39:28you can feel like turn on and so that's what we have to do
  565. 39:33Listen to this folks. And by the way, one of the reasons Carl and I were very close. We
  566. 39:38collaborate. We work on biblical worldview camps along with our colleagues like Dave Glender and Frank
  567. 39:44Figueroa and Massey Compass. And you've got your staff with reasons for hope. And then I've got
  568. 39:51my staff with Truth for New Generation. By the way, I want to say a big thank you to Tim
  569. 39:55Weilman and the American Family Radio Network, the millions of listeners of AFR. They hear us
  570. 40:03promote the camps and aFR gives me the green light to do that to God be the glory
  571. 40:09But here's the thing
  572. 40:12All right last week I was in South Carolina and it was in a way. It was kind of cool. It rained every day
  573. 40:19I don't mean it a shower. I mean it was like downpour of rain
  574. 40:22So we had more classes we got to you know
  575. 40:25You can only play checkers so much and with all the kids we had more and more times to talk about
  576. 40:33God's word and apologetics.
  577. 40:36But a young man comes up, great looking,
  578. 40:38all American kid, and he said,
  579. 40:40Mr. McFarland, do you remember me?
  580. 40:42And I said, I don't.
  581. 40:44He said, you led me to Christ last year
  582. 40:46at Temple, Georgia, and that's one of our camps.
  583. 40:50And then I remembered, he was confused about his gender.
  584. 40:53He had long hair, lip gloss.
  585. 40:57Thought he was a girl.
  586. 40:58And very respectfully, and with my post-grad training
  587. 41:03developmental psych, I know that mindset.
  588. 41:07And we talked, he said 14 months ago, you led me to Christ.
  589. 41:12And he said, God's really changed my life.
  590. 41:15I said, I see that.
  591. 41:16He had a haircut.
  592. 41:17He's living as the all-American young man that God made him to be.
  593. 41:23But here's my point, folks.
  594. 41:26In your Sunday school, in your youth group, in your outreach to people of all ages, but
  595. 41:32especially youth, they need the truth of God's Word.
  596. 41:36They need Carl's debunked videos because Carl, we're talking about souls and lives and the future of people.
  597. 41:45And God does use truth to make a difference, doesn't he?
  598. 41:49He absolutely does. As a matter of fact, this can't fit him out right here.
  599. 41:53When we started working it four years ago, they might have had 10.
  600. 41:57Might have had 10 people in it. Maybe 15 if we're going, you know, big, big number.
  601. 42:02members and is totally transformed. I had one of the workers come to me today to say,
  602. 42:07you guys have totally transformed this camp. It's not one of our equips, but it's one of
  603. 42:10the camps that we work at. Alex, I can tell you that out of the original people that were
  604. 42:17there, I think 90% of them are still coming. It is unbelievable to see how much it's grown
  605. 42:23and how engaged they are. When adults think, and I hear them tell me this, kids just don't
  606. 42:30care anymore so hard to reach them unlike man
  607. 42:33i disagree in the wrong stuff
  608. 42:35yet you're thinking the wrong stuff
  609. 42:37because i find a hungry group
  610. 42:39that is looking for people that look at the idea be straight beyond it and deal
  611. 42:43with issues that they're being confronted
  612. 42:45because they are being challenged
  613. 42:48and they want to know how to deal with it and we have answers
  614. 42:51amen
  615. 42:52uh... let me ask you about your app and the debunk videos because folks are not
  616. 42:57No kidding. You have not seen anything like the debunked videos. They're so good. They really are.
  617. 43:04That's why I said I'm a little bit envious. I got to make some videos like this. What are some of
  618. 43:10the topics you cover in these, Carl? Well, I'll tell you the brand spanking new one that is getting
  619. 43:16ready to come out and the folks want to get it. I'll tell you how to do that before we release it
  620. 43:20to the general public is biblical faith is blind faith debunked because we hear that all the time.
  621. 43:26Although all you Christians all you have is faith.
  622. 43:29Oh my, you have no clue.
  623. 43:32If you think that's bad, that's really good
  624. 43:34because biblical faith is not the way
  625. 43:36that the world tries to depict it.
  626. 43:38And if people want to get that,
  627. 43:39if they've got a smart device,
  628. 43:41all they have to do is send a message.
  629. 43:43It is so simple.
  630. 43:44You send a message to the recipient,
  631. 43:47the number 51555.
  632. 43:52That's who you're sending the message to, 51555.
  633. 43:56And the message is very simple.
  634. 43:57It's F, B, B, C.
  635. 44:01So in the message you just put F, B, C,
  636. 44:04and when you send that, you're gonna get a response back
  637. 44:06and it has a link.
  638. 44:07If you hit that link and fill that out,
  639. 44:09you automatically become a debunk defender
  640. 44:11that shows us where to send the debunk to.
  641. 44:14All the future ones that get released,
  642. 44:16you're gonna get them before they get released
  643. 44:18to the general public,
  644. 44:19because we don't have any marketing money,
  645. 44:21so we've just hired you as our marketing team,
  646. 44:23So you can take those things and show them everywhere.
  647. 44:26And then you can also get on our app like Alex talks about,
  648. 44:30all the 26 current ones are on there.
  649. 44:33And the 26 current ones are dealing with topics like,
  650. 44:35well, there's no hell, debunked, abortion.
  651. 44:38There's nothing wrong with abortion, debunked.
  652. 44:41The Bible full of mistakes and errors, and debunked.
  653. 44:45You couldn't fit all the animals on a boat.
  654. 44:47So we cover a broad gambit of ideas.
  655. 44:50Nobody loves you.
  656. 44:51That is a big one with this generation.
  657. 44:53I mean, they are looking for someone that cares,
  658. 44:56and the Satan's big tool is, well, you're nothing special.
  659. 44:59Nobody loves you.
  660. 45:00Well, I beg to differ.
  661. 45:02We debunk that.
  662. 45:04And so it's a broad spectrum,
  663. 45:06and we're continuing to make them as we can financially.
  664. 45:10We keep making them.
  665. 45:11Yeah.
  666. 45:12And what about your speaking tour?
  667. 45:14Where can people find you as you travel around the country?
  668. 45:19And the other speakers too.
  669. 45:19Oh man, thank you for that.
  670. 45:22Yeah, yeah, if they go to our website, R-F-O-R-H.com,
  671. 45:27they'll see events, they hit that events tab,
  672. 45:30and it has all of our speakers, schedules up there,
  673. 45:32and it's on the app as well, under events,
  674. 45:34you can hit that and you'll see all the speakers.
  675. 45:37And then as well on the app,
  676. 45:39if they go down to the very bottom,
  677. 45:40there's a word that says speakers, if they hit that,
  678. 45:43like I think it's like 17 of my full-length talks
  679. 45:46are up under my tab that you can watch,
  680. 45:49and it's all free.
  681. 45:50I mean, we give away so much on that,
  682. 45:51because we want people to have tools
  683. 45:54so that you'll get out and talk about Jesus Christ.
  684. 45:57In a world gone crazy, that needs to know
  685. 45:59there's another way.
  686. 46:01You know, the evidence, I believe, is compelling.
  687. 46:04But one of the most, for creation, the existence of God,
  688. 46:08the trustworthiness of the Bible, Jesus, morals,
  689. 46:12it doesn't matter any issue, folks.
  690. 46:15There is a biblical position
  691. 46:18and compelling evidence to support it.
  692. 46:21But Carl, I want you to comment on this
  693. 46:24with the time we have left.
  694. 46:25I showed this Sunday night as I spoke to youth
  695. 46:28in Eastern North Carolina.
  696. 46:30On the screen, I had the 60 Minutes interview
  697. 46:34with Dr. Mary Schweitzer, the kind of forensic paleontologist,
  698. 46:40bottom line fossils that look like rocks
  699. 46:43that were said to be 68 million years old
  700. 46:47And in 300 different fossil samples,
  701. 46:51she found wet tissue, moist tissue, blood vessels,
  702. 46:57collagen, I mean that.
  703. 47:00And interestingly, they said,
  704. 47:02this couldn't last more than six to 10,000 years.
  705. 47:06And they said, what about this?
  706. 47:09And the narrator says the rules of science
  707. 47:13are gonna have to be rewritten.
  708. 47:15comment if you would on that or any of the other evidence that shows the cracks in the
  709. 47:22foundation of Darwinian evolution are growing.
  710. 47:27Oh, absolutely.
  711. 47:28I would encourage people to come with us on our dinosaur dig.
  712. 47:30I just finished it up two weeks ago.
  713. 47:33Next year, second week in June, we'll take you.
  714. 47:35Glendive Montana, you'll dig your own dinosaur bone.
  715. 47:38First time I went there, I found a bone and two years ago, I took that bone that I found
  716. 47:44down to uh... pauluxy river
  717. 47:47and lindrose taxes and they have two electron microscopes down there
  718. 47:50they cut off a very thin slice of the bone that i found
  719. 47:54put it under the electron microscope and they found inside my bone
  720. 47:58collagen
  721. 47:59blood plots
  722. 48:00it's not an abnormal thing now to find
  723. 48:04uh... blood cells
  724. 48:06uh... to find blood vessels
  725. 48:08to find collagen that is very normal in almost every dinosaur bone that is
  726. 48:13discovered if they do the testing they will find that there and that truly is a
  727. 48:18death male to millions of years. These dinosaurs that have millions of years ago
  728. 48:22because those were almost out of trouble.
  729. 48:25Forgive me I'm so sorry to buddy and but the earth could not be millions of years
  730. 48:30old. Well it's Carl Kirby of reasons for hope. Alex McPherl and here saying thanks
  731. 48:35for listening. Tell somebody about Jesus, stand strong, stay bold because God's word
  732. 48:41The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the American
