  33. 2:42all these other things that do not edify you spiritually to stimulate your mind, why not
  34. 2:48consider a subscription to American Family Radio 877-616-2396 is the number to call for
  35. 2:56or a one-time gift, or should I say in response

  48. 3:36book from Brother Don while I'm in volume two,
  49. 3:39as well as an insulated AFR embossed lunch bag.
  50. 3:45I guess that's what it is, you call it a bag,
  51. 3:47what do we call it?
  52. 3:48These are kind of things I use
  53. 3:50to make sure you keep the grocery budget
  54. 3:51where it needs to be, you know what I'm saying?
  55. 3:538, 7, 7, 6, 1, 6, 2, 3, 9, 6 is the number to call, 8, 7, 7, 6, 1, 6, 2, 3, 9, 6, or you
  56. 4:04can make your gift securely online at aFR.net.
  57. 4:08To the word of God we go, as I was praying about today's program, the Lord really directed
  58. 4:12me to Psalm 1, just as a way of reminder, this is a familiar passage of Scripture, but the
  59. 4:20Lord makes a clear distinction between the righteous and the wicked.
  60. 4:24And often when I reflect on that, our world would say, and it's amazing, we have a world
  61. 4:30that is largely biblically illiterate, but you have some seducers and wicked people who
  62. 4:37would try to use the word of God against those of us who adhere to God's word to cause us
  63. 4:44to self-center, if you will, in calling us pay to spade.
  64. 4:48You know, but in order to obey what God requires of us, in order to qualify to become a blessed
  65. 4:55man as Psalm 1 says, we have to make certain distinctions.
  66. 4:58And this is what the scripture says.
  67. 4:59Psalm 1 verse 1, blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked nor stands
  68. 5:08in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of
  69. 5:15the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night. A couple of things to note from this passage.
  70. 5:22First of all, the psalmist is articulating this as inspired by the Spirit of God via inspiration
  71. 5:29from God the Holy Spirit. And then he explains this is the criteria, a part of the criteria
  72. 5:36that is necessary in order for you and I to be found among the ranks of the blessed man.
  73. 5:43All right? The blessed man is one who walks not in the counsel of the wicked.
  74. 5:48The description of walk there means, it doesn't just mean that you're going on a stroll.
  75. 5:54It literally means that you are living your life, your pattern of life,
  76. 6:00your manner of living is characterized by what will be described next.
  77. 6:04when he says, blessed is a man whose life is not characterized
  78. 6:10and what he's going to describe next.
  79. 6:11Blessed is a man who walks not in the council of the wicked
  80. 6:17in the council of the wicked.
  81. 6:18So the Lord is telling us by his divinely inspired word
  82. 6:22that if we want to be people who are blessed by him,
  83. 6:26we must refuse to allow our lives to be characterized
  84. 6:31by receiving council from the wicked.
  85. 6:34Now in order to live up to the script,
  86. 6:37you guess what that requires of us?
  87. 6:38We have to be able to distinguish.
  88. 6:42We have to be able to identify what is and what is not wicked.
  89. 6:47We have to be able to identify and distinguish who is
  90. 6:51and who is not wicked.
  91. 6:54Brothers and sisters, that is what's called judgment.
  92. 7:00So when people say, well, you're a Christian,
  93. 7:02you're not supposed to judge, I say, objection.
  94. 7:05I disagree.
  95. 7:07Not just opinionatedly.
  96. 7:09I disagree biblically.
  97. 7:10I have an obligation to judge.
  98. 7:14See with people's conflict, biblically, I have no authority to condemn.
  99. 7:20I am not the one who puts anybody in heaven or hell.
  100. 7:24I am not the one to sentence anybody to any type of conclusion.
  101. 7:29However, I have a biblical responsibility to judge and not just make a judgment in kind
  102. 7:35of a compartmentalized, separated fashion.
  103. 7:39I have to make a judgment and a just my life to accommodate that judgment.
  104. 7:45So as I'm living, how do I distinguish weakness from righteousness?
  105. 7:48There's one book that gives you a great evaluative mechanism.
  106. 7:51That's the book of Proverbs.
  107. 7:52How do I make that assessment?
  108. 7:53Do you make that assessment according to God's word?
  109. 7:56Well once I make that assessment, I likewise have to make the judgment, make the assessment
  110. 7:59as if whether or not I should be walking in their counsel.
  111. 8:08Now that's wickedness there.
  112. 8:09I probably shouldn't take their advice.
  113. 8:11Oh, that's wickedness there.
  114. 8:14I probably shouldn't heed their policy prerogatives.
  115. 8:18You know, that is if I want to be blessed.
  116. 8:20If you want to be blessed,
  117. 8:23do not walk in a council of the weekend.
  118. 8:26Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
  119. 8:29North sit, sorry, North stands in the way of sinners.
  120. 8:33So now you have this metaphor for walking, then standing and sitting.
  121. 8:38And you notice a, a, a declension, right?
  122. 8:42A decrescendo happening, walking in the council of the wicked, nor standing in the
  123. 8:48way of sinners.
  124. 8:48It's like you have a stroll occurring.
  125. 8:51Remember to say metaphor for a manner of living.
  126. 8:54And then you settle a bit.
  127. 8:56The way of the wicked becomes a bit more comfortable.
  128. 8:59You settle a bit to the point where now you're standing in the way of sinners.
  129. 9:03Then that selling goes a bit more.
  130. 9:05Then you sit in the seat of the scoffer.
  131. 9:07It is a decrescendo to where the person becomes increasingly
  132. 9:14ingratiated to the wicked.
  133. 9:18But the blessed man does not do so.
  134. 9:20The blessed man in contrast, his delight is the law
  135. 9:23of the Lord.
  136. 9:25Have you considered that you can delight in the law
  137. 9:29of the Lord, delight in the law of the Lord?
  138. 9:35We invite you to call 8776-16-2396 or make your gift online at aFR.net.
  139. 9:43It makes me think about the scripture in the back and when Habakkuk says in response to his dialogue with Yahweh back and forth,
  140. 9:49he said, oh my gosh, the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth just as the waters cover the seas.
  141. 9:58Oh my goodness.
  142. 10:00We seek to cascade the law of our Lord throughout the entirety of our nation.
  143. 10:07That is what we're trying to accomplish.
  144. 10:09I was on last hour with Brother Alex McFarland who was on his way to lead a Biblical worldview
  145. 10:16seminar in Pennsylvania.
  146. 10:18And he was sharing that he does that because he is endeavoring as the Lord has given him
  147. 10:23strength as long as his breath in his lungs to execute our king's commission as often and
  148. 10:29as broadly as God gives in that opportunity.
  149. 10:32877-616-2396 is the number to call. 877-616-2396, or you can make your gift online at aFR.net.
  150. 10:44That is AFR.net. Getting back to the scripture, the blessed man's delight is the law of the Lord.
  151. 10:49Then look at this part. And on his law, does he meditate day and night?
  152. 10:59Psalm 119, the Psalmist says, oh Lord, how I love your law.
  153. 11:02It is my meditation day and night brothers and sisters which you help us to continue to
  154. 11:10build sufficiently to where the law of the Lord is what is presented all across this country.
  155. 11:16There are a lot of places you can go to hear talking heads.
  156. 11:19There are a lot of places you can go to get commentary on various things.
  157. 11:23There's very few places you can go where you have people that are willing to lift up God's
  158. 11:29word and apply it to what we're facing as opposed to merely offering the musings of one of one's
  159. 11:36humanistic opinion vis-a-vis or versus another person's personal opinion, but we seek to have the law of
  160. 11:42the Lord exalted and most importantly not merely the law of the Lord but having the Lord Himself
  161. 11:48exulted and brought to bear on the various issues we confront. 877-616-2396 is the number to call.
  162. 11:59This is day three of the fall, 2026, Sharathon. This will be the last day that we're doing this.
  163. 12:07The last opportunity you'll have to contribute and participate in this fashion. Would you call?
  164. 12:13We have people standing by to hear from you. They will field your call directly.
  165. 12:18They will aid you in processing your transactions. This is not being outsourced to anyone overseas,
  166. 12:24that we have Chirathon Central still at the waning hours of the Chirathons waning hours.
  167. 12:30We have people there standing by to hear from you to aid you in processing your transactions.
  168. 12:36877-616-239-6 is the number to call 877-616-239-6 or you can make your gift securely online
  169. 12:48at afr.net that is afr.net to give you kind of a window where we're going to go because
  170. 12:55we're getting close to a break.
  171. 12:58You think Satan is sheepishly hiding in the background?
  172. 13:04Well, we're going to take a trek to Atumwa, Atumwa, Iowa,
  173. 13:10where you're going to get a glimpse into a particular
  174. 13:14invocation at a city council meeting.
  175. 13:16Guys, I am not kidding.
  176. 13:17I am not joking at all where you are going to hear
  177. 13:22one of the most audacious displays of evil
  178. 13:26that I've seen recently.
  179. 13:28And I want to share it with you not merely for shock purposes,
  180. 13:33but so that we can be like the Sons of Istacar,
  181. 13:35understanding the times that we're in
  182. 13:37and knowing what we should do.
  183. 13:39In addition to that, we'll also hear a few listener testimonies
  184. 13:43as we come around the bend.
  185. 13:45We're rounding third base, if you will,
  186. 13:47to conclude Shareathon this fall.

  224. 16:41Good evening everyone.
  225. 16:43Welcome back to the Shareathon edition of the Hamilton Corner Day 3 of the Shareathon.
  226. 16:50We are getting close to wrapping it up, but you still have time to make your gift would
  227. 16:56you do so by calling 877-616-239-6. The number again is 877-616-2396. That is the number
  228. 17:09to call to make your gift. You can also make your gift securely online by going to aFR.net.
  229. 17:16That is for American Family Radio. AFR.net is the website you can give securely there online
  230. 17:24should you choose to do so now as I mentioned I want to take a trip to autumn
  231. 17:30wall atum wa aside of her now said I believe atum wa Iowa atum wa atum wa
  232. 17:36atum wa Iowa City Council meeting that is I believe in the southeast portion of
  233. 17:45Iowa you would think I wouldn't think you would have these kind of displays
  234. 17:52certainly not in the middle of our country yet, we nevertheless do. And in
  235. 17:58order to assess what's happened there, we have to go back to January of this year.
  236. 18:04In January 2026, January 20th, specifically, this Southeast Iowa City Council adopted a
  237. 18:13policy allowing for invocations to be given at the start of official city
  238. 18:18Council meetings. Now here's the problem the policy according to the
  239. 18:23I will the a Tom Wai. I've you said better than me a Tom Wai is that it?
  240. 18:29You're fine. Close. I mean am I in the ballpark a Tom Wai a Tom Wai. Thank you. You said it better.
  241. 18:35The policy is intended to acknowledge and express the city's Council respect
  242. 18:42That food diversity of both organized and unorganized religious denominations.
  243. 18:51Now right now all of your body senses should be triggering because everyone just reading
  244. 18:54this.
  245. 18:55I got all kind of horns blaring flags flying fire raging.
  246. 19:00This is not the way.
  247. 19:02This is not the way.
  248. 19:04They go on to say as well as other face belief systems or the lack thereof represented and practiced
  249. 19:10among the citizens of the city of Atamwa. According to the policies,
  250. 19:15invocation speakers are to be, quote, selected without preference to any specific religion,
  251. 19:21belief, faith, or ideology from amongst a diverse pool of Atamwa citizens. In our
  252. 19:28ass not to proselytize, disparage other beliefs and to keep their invocation under two minutes in
  253. 19:34length. All right. That's, that's what it's supposed to accomplish. Despite the sense that
  254. 19:38should already be going off. Your discernment should already be kicking in saying,
  255. 19:43do not pass gold, do not collect $200. Like what's going on? The problem didn't start
  256. 19:49with the City Council meeting. The problem started with the deliberation concerned in this policy
  257. 19:54back in January. Now I want to remind you the number to call to make your gift is 877-616-2396.
  258. 20:02That is the number to call 877-616-239-6 is the number to call or you can make your gifts securely online by going to
  259. 20:13AFR.net that is AFR.net. Now, I'm going to share this with you
  260. 20:19And I really debated as to whether or not how much I should share
  261. 20:23But sometimes we have to look at the depths of the ugly and in this instance
  262. 20:29I'm going to tell you playing this is demonic straight up. This is demonic
  263. 20:32so that we can really grasp what's happening.
  264. 20:36Because if I just describe this to you,
  265. 20:38some of you might say, come on, surely, surely not.
  266. 20:42Because I want you to see not only the demonic presentation,
  267. 20:46but I want you to see the response, the immediate response.
  268. 20:49I would argue the feckless response
  269. 20:52to this demonic presentation.
  270. 20:54So what you're gonna hear is a man by the name of Matthew Dalby,
  271. 20:57who is himself a former member of the same city council.
  272. 21:03Think about this. This man that you're about to hear is a former member of the same city council.
  273. 21:08All right. And he now is in addition to being a former member of the same city council.
  274. 21:15He's also a member of the Iowa chapter of the Satanic Temple.
  275. 21:23I would encourage if you have young children, you may want to move them away.
  276. 21:26I want to give you some time to do so because I would prefer for you to share this with your
  277. 21:34children at your discretion when you think it's appropriate and then we have a wide array of
  278. 21:39ages of children. I know if I were listening, I would prefer to be the one to approach this
  279. 21:45topic with my children as opposed to having them here first and foremost on the radio. So having
  280. 21:50given you that that warning, listen to and watch if you're watching the show because I want you to
  281. 21:56see here and see what he says but also I want you to hear and see the response of the City Council
  282. 22:02members. Listen to and watch clip one, clip one, go.
  283. 22:16It was 530.
  284. 22:17I'm going to this meeting to order. We will start with the
  285. 22:19invocation and the pledge. So those that would like to participate
  286. 22:22in the invocation, please stand.
  287. 22:31This is a Tom. Thank you, Air Council. Let us pray. Dear
  288. 22:35Dark Father, let us stand now unbound and unfed by arcane
  289. 22:38doctrines born of fearful minds and darken times. Let us embrace
  290. 22:42the loose fairy and impulse to eat of the tree of knowledge,
  291. 22:45and dissipate our blissful and comforting delusions of old.
  292. 22:48Let us demand that individuals be judged for their concrete actions, not their
  293. 22:52frailty to arbitrary social norms and illusory categorizations.
  294. 22:57Let us reason our solutions with agnosticism and all things, holding fast only to that which
  295. 23:02is demonstrably true. Let us stand firm against any and all arbitrary authority that threatens
  296. 23:06the personal sovereignty of one or all. That which will not bend must break, and that which
  297. 23:11can be destroyed by truth should never be spared its demise. It is done. Hail Satan.
  298. 23:16Now, look at the response.
  299. 23:20Look at the response.
  300. 23:23What is the meaning of the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for
  301. 23:29which it stands one nation, another God, individual with liberty and justice for all?
  302. 23:38Now I played that because me describing it as one thing, but for you to witness it is
  303. 23:44an entirely different thing. Now, again, we're in the middle of the Shareathon, the number
  304. 23:51is 877616236. That is the number to call because this is the, this is one place where
  305. 24:00you would get the clear presentation of something like this and the necessity of objecting to
  306. 24:09it. Is this not an indication of the state of our nation? Because when you have such a
  307. 24:16demonic display that takes place. A clear effort to be provoking, a clear effort to provoke
  308. 24:24idolatrous disposition, a clear effort. And then we're going to just say, okay, let's
  309. 24:28go forward and say our pledge. Let's go on and just say our pledge. Let's continue with
  310. 24:37the normal order of events. To which I would say, like David, when you hear the Goliath,
  311. 24:48uncircumcised Philistine taunting the armies of God, David came down and was like, is that
  312. 24:55not a cause?
  313. 24:56You not hear this?
  314. 24:59But it's an indication of how do we become generally speaking to where even that won't
  315. 25:05provoke a necessary response.
  316. 25:07And you think that is something, then I want you to see what happens next because thankfully,
  317. 25:13there is a pastor who was in the audience who stands up and says, wait a minute, wait a
  318. 25:18minute. We can't just go on what business as usual and let that just go on unchecked. Listen
  319. 25:24to and watch clip two, clip two, go.
  320. 25:27So it looks like we have a citizen that would like to. So that would be an E or at the end,
  321. 25:33correct? Yes, that's correct. So yeah, Rick, if you could just reverse that curse that was
  322. 25:40just put on our city that ending with hail city and hail dart God. That's a that's not
  323. 25:46the well here.
  324. 25:47This should be done at the end.
  325. 25:50That needs to be done now.
  326. 25:52Okay.
  327. 25:55I appreciate what Ms. Galloway saying,
  328. 25:57but that was a curse put on a city
  329. 25:59when he said, hey, all Satan and old dark God,
  330. 26:01and most of you know that,
  331. 26:04and we need to just stop and reverse it.
  332. 26:06All right, so I'm gonna do right now.
  333. 26:11I'm gonna invite us into a 30 second time of prayer,
  334. 26:13or time of silence.
  335. 26:14Time of silence.
  336. 26:15No, we are at the consent agenda.
  337. 26:17I'm sorry, but it's time to move forward.
  338. 26:19So is mayor of the city of Etamol?
  339. 26:22Is mayor of the city of Tumol?
  340. 26:23On the one rolling this, running the meeting.
  341. 26:26I'm gonna ask right now that we do a moment of silence
  342. 26:29to reflect on whatever it is we need to reflect on it this time.
  343. 26:33And then we will move to the consent agenda.
  344. 26:35So with that, we'll go into a moment of silence.
  345. 26:40Now, I'm going into a moment of silence.
  346. 26:43Yeah, I hear that I'm talking over
  347. 26:44because I don't want one to go dark on the airways,
  348. 26:46but let's have a prayer.
  349. 26:50Oh, no, let's have a moment of silence.
  350. 26:52So that's what's happening right now
  351. 26:53for those who are listening,
  352. 26:54only you don't have the video in front of you.
  353. 26:56This is their moment of silence I'm talking through
  354. 26:58and then watch how they conclude.
  355. 27:00Okay, thank you.
  356. 27:03And that's it.
  357. 27:04That's it.
  358. 27:05Thankfully, that you have a pastor in the crowd
  359. 27:08who say, wait a minute.
  360. 27:09Y'all wanna just move on like nothing happened?
  361. 27:12No, no, no, we need to address this.
  362. 27:15And the mayor, that was his Benjamin Foote,
  363. 27:17was the mayor who's conducting the city council meeting.
  364. 27:21And my point in bringing this to your attention, guys,
  365. 27:23is to look, think about this,
  366. 27:25not only in the microcosm of that one city council meeting,
  367. 27:28expand out to the status of our nation,
  368. 27:31to where it was difficult for the mayor to say,
  369. 27:36no, wait a minute, we gonna pray right now,
  370. 27:38I can't say prayer.
  371. 27:40Why is he stumbling over his words at that point?
  372. 27:43Because that we've been so conditioned
  373. 27:46to say that, oh, wait, we have to treat everybody the same.
  374. 27:49We've allowed our first amendment to be twisted
  375. 27:52to such a degree to where it's unrecognizable.
  376. 27:55There is not a person alive who can tell me
  377. 27:57that our first amendment was created,
  378. 27:59so somebody can stand up on the City Council meeting
  379. 28:01in the middle of America and pray to Satan.
  380. 28:07No, no, absolutely not.
  381. 28:10But we've become so transformed fundamentally
  382. 28:16that the mayor himself can't even say,
  383. 28:19Now we need to pray to Jesus right now out of fear of what litigation out of fear of what I'm presenting that to you
  384. 28:28To consider where are we as a nation that's it
  385. 28:32What have some other folks join us in a few minutes?
  386. 28:34The number to call and you should have a few minutes if you want to get in to participate in shareathon this year
  387. 28:40The number to call is eight seven seven six one six two three nine six that numbers eight seven seven six one six two
  388. 28:48Thank you to every single individual,
  389. 28:51thank you to every single family who has come
  390. 28:55alongside us during this Sharethon,
  391. 28:57who says, along with us and several of the listeners
  392. 29:01you've heard throughout the day, that this is something
  393. 29:04that is worth committing to even with my material resources,
  394. 29:08because this is something that I want to make sure
  395. 29:10is available for myself, I want to make sure
  396. 29:12it's available for my children, I want to make sure
  397. 29:14it's available for my grandchildren, 8, 7,
  398. 29:16877-616-2396 is the number to call or you can give securely online by going to AFR.net.
  399. 29:23Next, let's take a few moments and listen to a listener testimony.
  400. 29:26If we are ready, Mr. Arrosa, fire away.
  401. 29:33Yes, my name is Gordon and from Kansas, AFA saved my life.
  402. 29:39Thank you, Jesus, for all AFA staff.
  403. 29:41I'm a truck driver.
  404. 29:43I had an old homemade stereo in my jump seat.
  405. 29:47Every night at 1130-ish my stereo would only pick up 88.3 for about a half hour.
  406. 29:52I was not happy to hear Tony Evans or Alan Jackson preaching Jesus.
  407. 29:56No matter what I did, and it was the only sound I could get.
  408. 30:00Come on, man.
  409. 30:01Pripy and Friday really caught my attention.
  410. 30:02The computer laughter, the goodness, the camera.
  411. 30:03I'm all my stuff.
  412. 30:04Y'all didn't even know what you needed me to move out of the way.
  413. 30:06It was so fun and got me to listening every Friday.
  414. 30:09In one night, Alan Jackson gives his chance for an important double.
  415. 30:12I got a two-legged boat.
  416. 30:14I get a heart check.
  417. 30:17And I have been sober for 22 months,
  418. 30:21and I have been growing in the world ever since.
  419. 30:24And now with the AFR app, I listen to every waking moment.
  420. 30:28Thank you, Jesus, and AFR for being warriors for Jesus.
  421. 30:32I'd add his hand on my radio that I thank him for his grace.
  422. 30:35So don't give up.
  423. 30:37Give your heart to him, and he won't pay off.
  424. 30:39Support AFR.
  425. 30:40Thank you.
  426. 30:41Wow, wow, wow, wow, praise God, man.
  427. 30:48That is what a powerful testimony and what a privilege it is to be a part of a ministry
  428. 30:53that offers that type of ministry to where that brother is going to be ministered to in
  429. 31:01that fashion.
  430. 31:02Well, at this juncture, I'm delighted to have in studio with me seated to my right, just
  431. 31:07physically but not politically.
  432. 31:09None other than AFR President.
  433. 31:11our president now you're a fan of our president which is a Wesley he's probably
  434. 31:15he's to the right of you and me probably
  435. 31:18Wesley my son that is the voice of a a a far president Tim Wildman who is
  436. 31:24he to my right to my left we have the director of American fan of family
  437. 31:27radio Jonathan Koker who has been the quarterback three men for share thought
  438. 31:32I'll give it brother a hand give him a hand you're not sure I'm yeah I'm the
  439. 31:36same I got it and he knows if you ever saw the movie remember the Titans the
  440. 31:40quarterback Sunshine. Yeah, you think he was in Hollywood?
  441. 31:43That is him right here. He was in a movie. I'm joking. He's not
  442. 31:46but I call him Sunshine all the time. Fellas, thank you for
  443. 31:49joining me here in studio. Help us wrap up where we are. What
  444. 31:53a what an amazing time we've had so far. And people are even
  445. 31:57still calling 877 616 23 96 Tim. I'll toss it to you first. Yeah,
  446. 32:02if you want to go first. All right. Then I'll toss it over
  447. 32:04to Jonathan. Sure. I'll tell folks where we are right now. This
  448. 32:09This is of course our fall, Cherathon, our AKA pumpkin spice
  449. 32:14Cherathon.
  450. 32:15I don't know.
  451. 32:19You know, by the time...
  452. 32:20Did he really?
  453. 32:21Yeah.
  454. 32:22Pumpkin spice Cherathon.
  455. 32:24I heard that one.
  456. 32:25He did.
  457. 32:26Maybe he stole my joke or something.
  458. 32:28I don't know.
  459. 32:29But anyway, listen, actually in all seriousness, it's our
  460. 32:33stand firm.
  461. 32:34Cherathon always comes from the scripture.
  462. 32:36We always have a Bible verse that we use
  463. 32:39as our theme, Breed, Shareth, Thine,
  464. 32:40and this one comes from 1 Corinthians 16,
  465. 32:43verses 13 and 14, which Abe has quoted many times
  466. 32:46in the last three days.
  467. 32:48And so we are just right at $4 million.
  468. 32:55We're about $17,000 short of $4 million.
  469. 32:59And we're right at 16,000 individuals or families
  470. 33:04We have pledged to support American family radio.
  471. 33:07And so we're very, very happy and we're very, very grateful.
  472. 33:11Amen.
  473. 33:12Grateful to the Lord God and grateful to His people
  474. 33:16for supporting our ministry.
  475. 33:17And it really blesses us.
  476. 33:20Who knows, we may end up with 4.1, 4.2
  477. 33:23by the time the weekend's over,
  478. 33:24but also to have 16,000 pledges, Jonathan,
  479. 33:28is quite a tribute to our listener.
  480. 33:32Absolutely.
  481. 33:33You know, it never ceases to amaze me every share of thine,
  482. 33:36how God just calls people.
  483. 33:38And these numbers just always amaze me.
  484. 33:41Like how faithful our listeners are to...
  485. 33:44They're all across the country.
  486. 33:45That's right.
  487. 33:46And they support what we do and believe in what we do,
  488. 33:48trust in what we do.
  489. 33:49And we're very, very thankful for that.
  490. 33:51Amen.
  491. 33:52I mean, we pass the virtual offer in plate twice a year,
  492. 33:54what I call it.
  493. 33:55That's right.
  494. 33:56And people respond.
  495. 33:58Hey, you've been with us.
  496. 33:59How many years now?
  497. 34:00It'll be 11 years.
  498. 34:02I'm coming upon 11 years on the area, 11 years.
  499. 34:04Wow.
  500. 34:05Yeah, that's been...
  501. 34:06I remember the first time you and I talked on the phone.
  502. 34:08I remember.
  503. 34:08I remember we talked on the phone after doing devotions.
  504. 34:12Yeah.
  505. 34:13You know, I was invited to devotions on a Wednesday
  506. 34:15and you said, hey, you got a few minutes
  507. 34:16before you leave and head back to Louisiana.
  508. 34:18I want to talk to you.
  509. 34:19Yeah.
  510. 34:19And I thought, oh, what did you not talk to me?
  511. 34:22Yeah.
  512. 34:23I was just visiting.
  513. 34:23I was on my way out.
  514. 34:25Yeah.
  515. 34:25Well, we could talk about this.
  516. 34:27We could get back from the break.
  517. 34:28We got a little break coming up.
  518. 34:29We got a break coming up.
  519. 34:30You're listening to the American Family Radio.
  520. 34:32This is day three.
  521. 34:33The final day of our Sharethon
  522. 34:35used to have a few minutes if you need to get your gift in.
  523. 34:37You hadn't been able to do so yet.
  524. 34:39You can call 877-616-2396, but we are overly excited
  525. 34:46about what God is doing.
  526. 34:47And we are grateful to Him and to you for your faithful
  527. 34:50and continue to support more Sharethon after this break.
  528. 34:59Vice President, Wesley Wildman.
  529. 35:01Yes, regardless of my last name being Wildman or not,
  530. 35:04I prayed specifically where God would have me.
  531. 35:08And so there were opportunities and different areas and things that I'm passionate about that
  532. 35:13I was interested in.
  533. 35:14And I laid the four or five opportunities out there before the Lord.
  534. 35:18I had coaching was an option.
  535. 35:22General business was an option.
  536. 35:23Landscape architecture was an option.
  537. 35:25Being a pastoral was an option.
  538. 35:27And working at a Christian activist ministry like AFA was an option as well.
  539. 35:30And I laid those five or six before the Lord and prayed for three or four months toward
  540. 35:34the end of my college career.
  541. 35:37And one by one over the next five or six months in my senior year of college, God began
  542. 35:43to shut some doors and point me through other areas as a confirmation into the point where
  543. 35:49it could not have been more clear that God was calling me to the work of AFA.
  544. 35:53I had no selfish motive to try to climb a ladder or try to move my way up in any particular
  545. 36:01timeline or anything like that. I was just interested in passionate about the ministry
  546. 36:05that my pop-up all started back in 1977 and wanted to work in the ministry like AFA in
  547. 36:11order to push the mission forward. If you look at our mission statement to inform, equip,
  548. 36:16and activate, I've noticed that there are many, many good ministries that do the informing
  549. 36:24and as it relates to Christian worldview,
  550. 36:27there's some that equip,
  551. 36:28and they do a little better job
  552. 36:30with the equipment side of things.
  553. 36:31And I believe we do both of those at the inception well,
  554. 36:34but I think what really sets American Family Association
  555. 36:36apart and what really inspires me
  556. 36:39is the activate side of things.
  557. 36:41So, the form equipment activate,
  558. 36:43I believe the activate side of what we do
  559. 36:45is an emphasis among the three,
  560. 36:47although we do all three.
  561. 36:49And doing that encourages me, encourages others,
  562. 36:53and it fulfills a hole in a need that many Christians find
  563. 36:57in their journey of growing and discipling as a Christian
  564. 37:00because obviously we wanna evangelize and share God's word.
  565. 37:04We want to see people get saved, but after that,
  566. 37:08we have an opportunity with our time left on earth
  567. 37:12to live out our beliefs and to be a good witness.
  568. 37:16Jesus said to occupy until he returns,
  569. 37:19and that's what we want to do is to occupy until he returns.
  570. 37:22And AFA does that, gives listeners and supporters an opportunity to do that more so than any
  571. 37:29other ministry that I can think of.
  572. 37:31And there's some really good ones out there, but the activates side of what we do is very
  573. 37:34special.
  574. 37:37My name is Lindsay from Hot Springs, Arkansas.
  575. 37:41A friend of mine introduced me to American Family Radio to date issues with Tim, Fred,
  576. 37:49and Ed.
  577. 37:50I also thoroughly enjoy exploring the word with Alex McFarland and Bert Harper.
  578. 37:56My husband has now started this thing to explore the word podcast to become more biblically
  579. 38:03sound.
  580. 38:04I did listen to the 2024 election through the Washington sand which was encouraged through
  581. 38:10American Family Radio.
  582. 38:12has inspired me and Jesus has used it as a growing tool in my faith and I in turn get
  583. 38:22to use it as a witness to other people because I am very frequently referring American family
  584. 38:29radio to others.
  585. 38:32Shearathon continues on American Family Radio.
  586. 38:35Let's stand firm in the faith and do everything in love.
  587. 38:50Now at 877-616-2396 or give online at aFR.net and thank you for partnering with AFR during
  588. 39:00Shareathon.
  589. 39:02Welcome back to American Family Radio.
  590. 39:05Fall Shareathon day three as we are coming to a close here in the last 15 minutes or so.
  591. 39:12Abraham Hamilton the third here, host of the Hamilton Corner, you usually hear at this time.
  592. 39:17AFA and AFR President, Tim Wildman is in studio with us as well as the director of American Family Radio, Jonathan, Koker and Tim.
  593. 39:24Before we went to the break, you were, I don't know if you want to continue.
  594. 39:26Well, yeah, that's okay.
  595. 39:27Yeah, I was wanting to, you and I was talking about when you came to work for us here.
  596. 39:33Yes.
  597. 39:34And that's been 11 years already?
  598. 39:36Yes, it'll be 11 years in January.
  599. 39:38Yeah, you came as a guest friend, Will Addison.
  600. 39:44Brother Will Addison invited you.
  601. 39:46That's right. You guys were childhood friends, were you? Yeah, we went to the same church in the Orleans. Yeah, and so
  602. 39:52You did devotion for us and then I talked to you because we had an opening which I didn't know
  603. 40:00Isn't this how God works oftentimes, you know, we don't have to know everything God knows, but yeah, so God's
  604. 40:05brings you up here
  605. 40:07visiting with Addison's and then come here to share devotion with us and we had an opening for a turny position here because
  606. 40:16Our lead attorney was planning on retiring.
  607. 40:18That's right.
  608. 40:19And so I talked to you about that.
  609. 40:22And you came, you accepted, brought your whole family here.
  610. 40:27And then you said, no, they said,
  611. 40:29yeah, get home, talk to your wife, didn't call me.
  612. 40:30That's what you said.
  613. 40:31That's what you said.
  614. 40:32Yeah.
  615. 40:33Okay.
  616. 40:34That's what you said.
  617. 40:35I did, yeah.
  618. 40:35And we worked out a situation where you could move your family here and come to work for us as our attorney.
  619. 40:42And then Jonathan, what were your, you were,
  620. 40:48no, you were like, I was just the operations manager.
  621. 40:50You were like low on the total of the total.
  622. 40:52Low on the total of the total.
  623. 40:53But not low.
  624. 40:54Low, lower.
  625. 40:56Yeah, you were lower.
  626. 40:57Yes, sir.
  627. 40:58Now you're general manager.
  628. 41:00So that's more responsibility.
  629. 41:02Yes.
  630. 41:03It's a bad, bad.
  631. 41:05Bad.
  632. 41:06That was funny.
  633. 41:09More worries.
  634. 41:10More worries is right.
  635. 41:11But anyway, I was just wondering what you were doing back then.
  636. 41:15So it brought your family here and then the show time became open at five to six o'clock
  637. 41:22central time in the afternoon.
  638. 41:25And Abe said, I said, Abe, be perfect for that.
  639. 41:28And you can you handle that and your lawyer duties?
  640. 41:31And it worked out.
  641. 41:32Yes, that's worked out for us.
  642. 41:34So praise God.
  643. 41:36The Hamilton Corner was birthed.
  644. 41:38How long has Hamilton Corner been going on?
  645. 41:39It's been going on almost 11 years.
  646. 41:41Well, soon enough, it'll be 11 years, 10 years of some change.
  647. 41:45The good thing about it is that Abe doesn't charge per hour to be on the radio.
  648. 41:51Other than that, he charges per hour.
  649. 41:52If I thought, yeah, if I caught him on the phone, he's, excuse me, just a minute, let
  650. 41:56me start my clock.
  651. 41:57No.
  652. 41:58I just don't send the bills to you.
  653. 42:00That's all.
  654. 42:01I'm glad we got a lawyer on the salary format here at American Family Radio.
  655. 42:09No, I'm just teasing.
  656. 42:10So the rest, as they say, is history.
  657. 42:13And you've been doing this show for 11 years.
  658. 42:14And I was wondering how many of you are,
  659. 42:17how many of you are in your tribe now?
  660. 42:19Children?
  661. 42:20Yeah.
  662. 42:20Six.
  663. 42:21Six.
  664. 42:22How many of you have more born here?
  665. 42:24So my last three.
  666. 42:27Yeah.
  667. 42:28Yeah.
  668. 42:29Last three, we're born here.
  669. 42:30Yeah, that's right.
  670. 42:31That's right.
  671. 42:32So three of them are going to probably grow up
  672. 42:33talking like New Orleans people.
  673. 42:35And three of them are going to talk redneck English.
  674. 42:37Like me.
  675. 42:38like me, like job, you know.
  676. 42:40Very confusing family.
  677. 42:41I'm here to interpret whatever Jonathan says.
  678. 42:44I live here long enough to know what he means when he's not.
  679. 42:49He's my translator.
  680. 42:50He and Bert Harper.
  681. 42:52Bert Harper and Alex McFarland, they've developed quite
  682. 42:55in a listening audience exploring the word.
  683. 42:57Yes.
  684. 42:58And so if you listen to Bert long enough,
  685. 43:00you've learned down home, southern English by now,
  686. 43:03at least how to understand it.
  687. 43:06Listen, we are so grateful to all of you who've given donations during our
  688. 43:10Shareathon Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
  689. 43:13It's our fall of Shareathon.
  690. 43:14So we won't be back again, you know, passing off or played until next April.
  691. 43:19Right, Jonathan?
  692. 43:19That's right.
  693. 43:20That's right.
  694. 43:21I got the email from Jonathan giving me the dates.
  695. 43:24Yes.
  696. 43:24Yeah.
  697. 43:24So it'll be first of April.
  698. 43:27We'll ask for donations again and then again in October of 2027.
  699. 43:33Hey, let's hear from another listener.
  700. 43:34How about they got a testimony?
  701. 43:39My name is Fred from Wichita, Kansas.
  702. 43:43I've been listening to AFR Radio since the days of Thomas A.
  703. 43:48In his drive time show, I've been so blessed
  704. 43:51by the combination of biblical and political commentary,
  705. 43:56the news.
  706. 43:57What did you say?
  707. 43:58As a shout out to you.
  708. 43:59Thomas A.
  709. 43:59I've actually met JJ, your friend.
  710. 44:02I'm a man.
  711. 44:02As always.
  712. 44:03And I really love the Todd Herman show.
  713. 44:06So God bless all of you for all of your efforts.
  714. 44:09And I hope to see you someday in Tupelo.
  715. 44:14Welcome back.
  716. 44:14Sorry if you heard me blurt out.
  717. 44:16Who's he talking about?
  718. 44:17I thought you were the translator.
  719. 44:18Well, sometimes I don't blurt out often, but when I do,
  720. 44:24what do you think?
  721. 44:25I'm the most interesting man in the world.
  722. 44:27So anyway, I was trying to think of who that gentleman was
  723. 44:35talking about it and maybe talking about a local broadcaster we've had because we
  724. 44:39didn't we used to have local people on some of our radio stations so that's maybe
  725. 44:43who he's talking about anyway my apologies if you had heard hear me uh...
  726. 44:48yell out there my microphone was owned and did that's all that's a warning to
  727. 44:53you people care for what you say and where you say it how loud you say it
  728. 44:57Allison tells me you know I'll be talking to her about somebody you know in a
  729. 45:02restaurant, she'll say, you know they can hear you, right?
  730. 45:06I didn't say anything bad, I just said.
  731. 45:08All right, so we're just about, I tell you what,
  732. 45:11if somebody will call in and give $11,500,
  733. 45:16we'll be at four million.
  734. 45:18Before we get off the air.
  735. 45:19And it very well could happen, 877616-239-6
  736. 45:23is number to call 877-6162-3996,
  737. 45:27is the number to call or you can still give.
  738. 45:30securely online at aFR.net.
  739. 45:32I wanted to ask Jonathan,
  740. 45:33because he's kind of quarterbacking Sharethon,
  741. 45:36because we have people who travel here from other states
  742. 45:39to answer the phones for us.
  743. 45:41What is it like corralling all of these people
  744. 45:44who contribute in their various ways
  745. 45:46to make Sharethon work for us?
  746. 45:48Well, it's a lot of work from a lot of departments here,
  747. 45:52not just in the radio.
  748. 45:54We have a marketing and HR helps with tons of stuff.
  749. 45:58It takes all of us, you know, two or three months
  750. 46:00to get all this organized, come up with themes
  751. 46:02and scripture verses and volunteers that do travel
  752. 46:05and come in, they'll start emailing us, you know,
  753. 46:08a couple months out in advance, asking if we have
  754. 46:10a availability for them to come in.
  755. 46:12How do you get to Tupelo?
  756. 46:13Yeah, I get to Tupelo.
  757. 46:15Is it a real question?
  758. 46:16Is it a real place?
  759. 46:17Yeah.
  760. 46:18But we tell him it's right below one below.
  761. 46:21Yeah.
  762. 46:22You can find one below, you'll find Tupelo.
  763. 46:24Tupelo, you know.
  764. 46:25That's what it is there.
  765. 46:26Yeah.
  766. 46:27saw what you did there.
  767. 46:28That's all right.
  768. 46:30I do want to say like this,
  769. 46:32for the past three or four share of thorns,
  770. 46:34we've had a ton of volunteers.
  771. 46:36Yeah, we have.
  772. 46:37Side volunteers coming in, which is great to see.
  773. 46:40They're either on way, you know, to get here.
  774. 46:42That's right.
  775. 46:43And we've even got one guy, Bruce Brown,
  776. 46:45from Vincent's, Indiana.
  777. 46:46This is his, I think he told me it's his 11th year.
  778. 46:50Wow.
  779. 46:51And he comes every single share of thine.
  780. 46:52He stays in that room from six a.m. to six p.m.
  781. 46:55A whole three day.
  782. 46:56God bless him.
  783. 46:57He absolutely loves what F-R and F-A does.
  784. 46:59It believes in it.
  785. 47:01And we had a friend from Wayne from Montana.
  786. 47:04That's right.
  787. 47:05Wayne came.
  788. 47:05This was the first time that Wayne came.
  789. 47:07And he's been in there all three days.
  790. 47:09Oh, yeah.
  791. 47:11They come to work.
  792. 47:12Yeah.
  793. 47:13And they're big breaks.
  794. 47:15So he went from Great Falls, I think, to Denver,
  795. 47:19to Memphis and drove down.
  796. 47:20That's amazing.
  797. 47:21That's amazing.
  798. 47:22And it just speaks to the supporters.
  799. 47:24Some of you listening now might want to log out away.
  800. 47:27come around next time around, you may want to be one of the people in
  801. 47:31Sherathon Central, you know, and these are a lot of the people when I
  802. 47:34say on the radio that we don't outsource customer service that you're
  803. 47:38going to meet a person here from a person who's right here on our own
  804. 47:42campus in Sherathon Central. It's usually a lot of these volunteers
  805. 47:47combined with some of our staff, and it's just amazing to see really
  806. 47:50how the body of Christ comes together when we have a concerted purpose and
  807. 47:54task maybe think about when the people had a mind to work, you know, and they were trying
  808. 48:00to gather resources for the temple and then the finally said, okay, we have enough.
  809. 48:04We have enough.
  810. 48:06And God continues to bless us.
  811. 48:08And by God's grace, we are going to continue to be true to the vision, Tim, that started
  812. 48:13with your dad, that you're continuing on a leadership now.
  813. 48:17It's a vitally, vitally important thing.
  814. 48:18In many ways, AFR and AFA is more necessary now
  815. 48:23than ever before in a lot of ways.
  816. 48:24I mean.
  817. 48:25Yeah, that's right brother.
  818. 48:26Well, our Bible verse is stand firm.
  819. 48:29And so that's what we encourage our listeners to do
  820. 48:32is stand firm in a culture that is often hostile.
  821. 48:36You've played that clip from that satanic leader there
  822. 48:40and I will do in a quote prayer before a city council.
  823. 48:44And so, I mean, we face a lot of adversity today
  824. 48:48in the, you know, it's been that way for Christians
  825. 48:51since the faith started, right?
  826. 48:54Okay, so it's not new, but I'm just saying that
  827. 48:58in our country, our beloved America,
  828. 49:00it seems like it's an often ways becoming more hostile
  829. 49:04for us as Bible believing Christians.
  830. 49:06But I tell you what, I have the phone number here.
  831. 49:08That's why American Family Association
  832. 49:10and American Family Radio exist,
  833. 49:12is to educate, communicate, activate, equip,
  834. 49:15give Christians a voice across the country.
  835. 49:18And that's what we do, that's what we've been doing.
  836. 49:21And people believe in us and support us.
  837. 49:23And we appreciate that very much.
  838. 49:24And we take that very seriously.
  839. 49:26You know, we're engaged in politics and government.
  840. 49:29That's a very important role in our society.
  841. 49:30And if Christians abandon that altogether,
  842. 49:33like so many Christians think, well, that's of the devil.
  843. 49:38I don't wanna get involved in that.
  844. 49:40Well, if we abandon that,
  845. 49:42And who's that leave to make decisions for all of us?
  846. 49:44You know, I'm not saying everybody has a run for office,
  847. 49:47but at least vote.
  848. 49:48That's at a minimum.
  849. 49:48The second that you can support people who are good,
  850. 49:52God, the people in office, right?
  851. 49:53The rest are short of the believers don't participate.
  852. 49:56Right.
  853. 49:57And engaged to lead and engaged to vote,
  854. 49:59the unbelievers will, the wicked will.
  855. 50:00Absolutely.
  856. 50:01And then they'll make laws that affect all of us.
  857. 50:02Absolutely right.
  858. 50:03Absolutely right.
  859. 50:04No doubt about it.
  860. 50:05You said about the hostility toward the faith.
  861. 50:07Justice Samuel Alito just came out with a book called So Ordered
  862. 50:11And he posits in his book that the date
  863. 50:16when both governmental and cultural hostility toward
  864. 50:21believers had a precipitous uptick was June 26, 2015
  865. 50:27when the Obergefell versus Hodges decision was made.
  866. 50:29In his book, he says that that is the point
  867. 50:32in which it became, in vogue, so to speak,
  868. 50:35to demonstrate hostility towards faithfulness
  869. 50:38is when the Jack Phillips case came after that,
  870. 50:41various lawsuits that came and some in rebuttal to his notions said well there
  871. 50:45been a host of religious liberty cases that gone before the court that have been
  872. 50:48ruled in favor of religious liberty to which he responded and said yeah that's my
  873. 50:52point you see all of these lawsuits why are there so many lawsuits that are
  874. 50:56going to be filed and you it dates back in in his assertion his estimation back to
  875. 51:00the gay marriage decision from 2015 so Samuel ito what's the name of the book
  876. 51:05so ordered well the book so ordered read that Samuel elito yeah hey what did it
  877. 51:10But thank just a few folks who've called in the last hour or two, Toby and New Iberia,
  878. 51:16Louisiana, Kimberly and McKinney, Texas.
  879. 51:19Thank you to Maria, in Seminole, Texas.
  880. 51:23So we adjusted and called in from West Jefferson, Ohio.
  881. 51:26As you can see, folks, as I'm reading these towns and states, we really are American family
  882. 51:31radio.
  883. 51:32We've got Ronald and Belleville, Ohio, Shirley, and Wichita, Kansas, Janet, and Blue Springs,
  884. 51:39Mississippi, which is the stone throne from where we are.
  885. 51:43So anyway, there you go, just a sample of our fine devoted
  886. 51:47listeners who maybe have never met us, many of them,
  887. 51:50but they listen to us and they believe in what we're doing
  888. 51:53in our ministry and what we're trying to accomplish here.
  889. 51:57So we're about out of time, aren't we?
  890. 51:58What do we get?
  891. 51:59You want to pray for us, my friend?
  892. 52:00Well, we have a couple minutes.
  893. 52:01I definitely would love to pray to close.
  894. 52:04But I want to take advantage of this time,
  895. 52:06because it's not very often we get Jonathan on a microphone
  896. 52:08here.
  897. 52:09We have John as another, he's like,
  898. 52:10why are you gonna ask me another question?
  899. 52:12As general manager for the AFR
  900. 52:15and director of American Family Radio,
  901. 52:17we have all of these, the various personalities,
  902. 52:20different things that we're offering.
  903. 52:22If you were asked to describe what we're seeking
  904. 52:24to accomplish particularly through the radio ministry,
  905. 52:26what would you say?
  906. 52:28I would say it's probably what our mission statement is,
  907. 52:30which is to equip everybody to fulfill the great commission,
  908. 52:35which is bringing people to Christ
  909. 52:37and informing them on what it is that they need to know about today's culture.
  910. 52:41Inform, equip and activate. That's right. That's basically the essence of our mission.
  911. 52:45And I'm so glad you said he didn't know I was going to ask him that.
  912. 52:48No, he didn't. It's why I'm here. You know, part of why I'm here.
  913. 52:52Yeah, no, and it's fantastic. And one of the things I enjoy though from the
  914. 52:57entire tier of our staff here all the way up, including radio hosts and everything,
  915. 53:01we have people who are invested in the mission. Nobody's joining here because like,
  916. 53:06like, oh, we just find this is a cool thing to do,
  917. 53:08that we're invested in the mission.
  918. 53:10And instead of merely being people who identify
  919. 53:13and diagnose the darkness, we wanna be a part
  920. 53:15of the ranks of those who put the light on the lampstand
  921. 53:17to not merely complain about what is happening,
  922. 53:19but we want to work towards building, towards an answer.
  923. 53:24Amen, there's the music.
  924. 53:26That's the music.
  925. 53:27I know we normally head out with that music,
  926. 53:28but I would like to take a few moments and pray for us
  927. 53:30to close out this shareathon.
  928. 53:31And again, thank you to every single one of you
  929. 53:33who's given every family represented,
  930. 53:35we give praise to God.
  931. 53:36Amen.
  932. 53:37and as well as yours.
  933. 53:38Lord, we thank you Father for building this ministry
  934. 53:40and planting us for such a time as this Father,
  935. 53:43I pray that you would aid us as a ministry
  936. 53:45to remain focused on the mission you have set before us
  937. 53:48and that we would have all hands placed the plow
  938. 53:50that you had before us and that we would not look back.
  939. 53:53We're not daunted by the darkness surrounding us,
  940. 53:55but we are committed to following you
  941. 53:57and putting that lamp on the lamp stand.
