  10. 0:51During Share-a-Thon.
  11. 0:56Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:58Welcome to the Fall Day One Share-a-Thon edition
  13. 1:03of The Hamilton Corner.
  14. 1:05We are in the thick of Sherathon, the very beginning,
  15. 1:09I should say, today many of you know
  16. 1:12if you've been listening to American Family Radio
  17. 1:15for any length of time that Sherathon occurs twice a year,
  18. 1:19once in the spring and once in the fall.
  19. 1:22It is those two times per year that we appeal directly
  20. 1:26to our listeners and our supporters to provide
  21. 1:29the material resources that enable us to continue
  22. 1:32pressing forward with the work and the ministry that is done through American Family Radio
  23. 1:38and the American Family Association.
  24. 1:41The number to call to make your gift is 877-616-2396.
  25. 1:48That number again is 877-616-2396.
  26. 1:52Or if you prefer, you can give securely online at aFR.net.
  27. 1:59at us, AFR.net for American Family Radio.
  28. 2:03And we will be here today, we'll be here tomorrow,
  29. 2:06and we'll be here Thursday with the Shareathon three days,
  30. 2:11as I mentioned, that we will be here.
  31. 2:13At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you,
  32. 2:16are making your transition from your part-time jobs
  33. 2:19where you generate an income to your full-time jobs
  34. 2:22where you cultivate an outcome.
  35. 2:23And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so
  36. 2:26with intentionality, understanding the primacy
  37. 2:28God places on family and welcoming his view to govern to God and to guard your view.
  38. 2:38As usual, I'm joined by the corner contingent right across from me, my man 100 grand, Mr.
  39. 2:43Bobby, who's probably still trying to recover because we weren't expecting Freddy Jack to
  40. 2:48come on during the break.
  41. 2:51That hit me.
  42. 2:52I was surprised.
  43. 2:53the wrong button.
  44. 2:54And in the screening room, produce extraordinary often imitated, ever duplicated.
  45. 3:02The real JMac is in the screening room.
  46. 3:05Once again, the number to call is 877-616-2396.
  47. 3:10That number again is 877-616-2396.
  48. 3:16Or you can make your gifts securely online by going to AFR.net.
  49. 3:22as AFR.net. Now to begin the program we're going to do as we always do. Even during
  50. 3:27Charathon we begin the show with the Word of God. First Corinthians chapter 16
  51. 3:32verses 13 and 14 is where we're going to go. First Corinthians chapter 16
  52. 3:37verses 13 and 14 is where we are going to go. Just for context for those who may
  53. 3:44not be aware of the Apostle Paul, pin this epistle to the Corinthians during a
  54. 3:49latter part of his missionary journey to Ephesus. So Paul is in Ephesus in writing a letter back
  55. 3:57to the believers in Corinth. And as you know these letters are inspired, divinely inspired
  56. 4:05by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And this happens to be the theme verse for this year's
  57. 4:11Shareth on 1 Corinthians chapter 16 verses 13 and 14 and this is what the text says
  58. 4:17be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Act like men. Be strong. Let all that you
  59. 4:31do be done in love and a couple things I want to point out to you from this
  60. 4:36verse. First of all where it says be on the alert I'm reading from the NASB 95.
  61. 4:41Some translations say be watchful and others render that differently, but they all
  62. 4:47communicate the same notion being attentive, being sober-minded, being alert.
  63. 4:52Then the then the exhortation is to stand firm. Stand firm. You might think why would
  64. 5:00that be necessary to include in the epistle? Why would the stand firm exaltation
  65. 5:05need to be included? Well the simple reality is similar to the way it's
  66. 5:08happening today. Similar to the way it's happening today, that there is a great
  67. 5:12temptation because of the press of the culture, because in many instances
  68. 5:16staring down the barrel, so to speak, a persecution, because of isolation. You know,
  69. 5:22we're gonna get into it later. Justice Samuel Alito is doing some interviews and
  70. 5:25he said, one of the things he said in the interview was that the Obergefell
  71. 5:29decision from 2015 was the turning point for overt hostility, governmentally and
  72. 5:35in society towards religious liberty in our country.
  73. 5:39You know, that was a turning point because of that decision.
  74. 5:43Well, there's a great temptation to become flimsy,
  75. 5:47concerned in the faith, you know,
  76. 5:48to allow the culture to press in upon us
  77. 5:52to where we become hesitant to state the truth.
  78. 5:55We become reluctant to proclaim the truth
  79. 5:57and that reluctance and hesitance then
  80. 6:00burge into an unwillingness to live the truth.
  81. 6:05That's why you see, unfortunately, in various iterations,
  82. 6:08people who profess to be Christ followers,
  83. 6:11but they embrace things, like same six mayors,
  84. 6:13they embrace things like, you know, shacking up.
  85. 6:16And that's what the season thinks you'd call it,
  86. 6:18but the Bible calls it for an occasion.
  87. 6:20Embrace things like adultery,
  88. 6:22embrace things like pornography, all while professing
  89. 6:24to be believers, that is not standing firm in the faith.
  90. 6:27You know, faithfulness to God is not confined
  91. 6:30even to church attendance.
  92. 6:31It's not how much you can, you know,
  93. 6:33I'm sorry, not how much you can attend the worship gatherings.
  94. 6:36It's how much of Christ's word do we live in submission to,
  95. 6:40hence the exhortation to stand firm, stand firm.
  96. 6:44And then it says to act like men.
  97. 6:48This is a command.
  98. 6:49The Greek word here is a command
  99. 6:50that will be often given to soldiers,
  100. 6:52to say to operate with a courage and a strength
  101. 6:57and a resolve, a requirement for your faith-filled commitment
  102. 7:02to be undergirded by courage, undergirded by valor, to practice biblical clarity for a
  103. 7:10biblical worldview to not merely be ideological responses to questions, but it would be the
  104. 7:16defining characteristic for how one lives our lives.
  105. 7:21Be strong.
  106. 7:23And those cascading exhortations are then underlined by the very next phrase in verse 16, let
  107. 7:32all that you do be done in love. See, what the Lord is attempting for us to understand
  108. 7:38is that this command, this exhortation to act like men, to be strong, to be courageous, to be
  109. 7:45valorous, to refuse to wilt, or to be flimsy, to be to be fickle, to be weak, that all of that
  110. 7:54is done through love. You want to talk about counterculture, none of those characteristics are viewed
  111. 8:02in our culture as characteristics that are anchored by love.
  112. 8:06But guess what? In Christ they are.
  113. 8:09It is the love for Christ and the love of Christ
  114. 8:14that causes us to love our neighbors as ourselves
  115. 8:17that drives us toward this.
  116. 8:19Be sober minded.
  117. 8:21That's why I was warning yesterday
  118. 8:22about that middle school in Burlington, Massachusetts,
  119. 8:25Marshall Simon's Middle School,
  120. 8:27the hyper-sexualization of children,
  121. 8:29The reason why we want to be strong and vigilant and firm in our faith is because we love people.
  122. 8:35And it's love for people, flows from our love for God.
  123. 8:39And that love for people includes loving our neighbors as ourselves.
  124. 8:43One time somebody said to me, hey, well, you homeschool your children.
  125. 8:45Why do you care what's going on in these schools?
  126. 8:47Because I love other people's children too.
  127. 8:49And I don't want them to go to a place where they're required to submit to the authority figures
  128. 8:56while they're being inundated with anti-Christ messaging.
  129. 9:02It is love that compels this stance.
  130. 9:05It is love, but there's a concerted effort
  131. 9:09by demonically-inspired forces to penetrate
  132. 9:14into sectors of our society where young people
  133. 9:17are developing and it encroaches upon their development
  134. 9:21to break them early, to bend them early,
  135. 9:24to cause them to embrace anti-Christ ideologies
  136. 9:26and have their entire growth and upbringing to be bent by wickedness.
  137. 9:36It's because I love Christ.
  138. 9:38That Christ love compels me to love people.
  139. 9:43And is that love that compels us to stand up and to say something.
  140. 9:50And this is what we're seeking to accomplish through American Family Radio
  141. 9:54and through the American Family Association.
  142. 9:56There's a quote that's attributed to Billy Graham,
  143. 9:59that in the context where there's coward is being displayed.
  144. 10:02And he says that all that it takes is for one person to be willing to stand up.
  145. 10:09And what ends up happening when one person is willing to stand with a strengthened and
  146. 10:13stiffened neck, that that courage becomes contagious and others become willing to stand.
  147. 10:21And that is what we're seeking to do.
  148. 10:22Yeah, we can read the headlines.
  149. 10:24Yes, we can read the society.
  150. 10:26We can see what's going on around us.
  151. 10:27But guess what?
  152. 10:28We don't take our marching orders from that.
  153. 10:30Our marching order comes from the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords who says to us, be alert,
  154. 10:35firm in the faith, stand firm in the faith, stand firm in the faith. Again, why would
  155. 10:43Paul say that? Why would the spirit of God move Paul to say that? Because the potential
  156. 10:46exists for you to press to have faith, but you become weakened. You become afraid. You become
  157. 10:53fearful. And listen, I'm fleshing blood just like you. I live in this world just like you.
  158. 11:00A lot of the attacks come from penetrations and family. You know, to be polite, you don't
  159. 11:10discuss politics and religion. Religion, it just means a well
  160. 11:18held set of beliefs. What is politics the external application
  161. 11:21of what one really believes that belief system applied to
  162. 11:25policy? There are a lot of people that are afraid to talk
  163. 11:29about these things because they want to be polite. Well, how do
  164. 11:32you how are you polite when souls hang in the balance? And let
  165. 11:38me remind you the number to call is 8776162396 8776162396
  166. 11:47is the number to call. That is where you will speak to a person and you make your gift, you
  167. 11:53can make your pledge by calling that number. Or if you prefer, and if you're comfortable
  168. 11:58with it, you can do the same thing by going to aFR.net. You no need to converse to someone
  169. 12:02by phone, but you'd make it get your gifts right there online at aFR.net. Because this,
  170. 12:10these are the kinds of conversations we have to have folks. These are the types of conversations
  171. 12:15we have to have. I was on last hour with Alice McFarland, he brought up a new mom who
  172. 12:20stated that the express goal is to make the United States of America an Islamic state by
  173. 12:262050. That's the express goal. But the word of God tells me, be alert, stand firm in the
  174. 12:37faith, act like men. Be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. A part of the reason
  175. 12:45why I'm contending is because image bears of God who believe wrongly are still image
  176. 12:52bears of God and God is in the business of saving souls.
  177. 12:58And yes, I want to see the individual, the individual who professed to be a Muslim to
  178. 13:03be born again.
  179. 13:04Oh, what a glorious testimony.
  180. 13:08And while at the exact same time, I can say unflinchingly that Islamic ideology is evil,
  181. 13:13unflinchingly because of what they seek to accomplish because of how they treat bears of God's
  182. 13:20is an anti-Christ ideology.
  183. 13:25And here's the worst part of it,
  184. 13:26those who believe it without repentance
  185. 13:29will face eternal damnation.
  186. 13:32That's what the scripture teaches.
  187. 13:35So I'm not hesitant or a bashful in inviting you to call
  188. 13:38877-616-2396 to aid us in continuing the mission
  189. 13:44of this ministry to continue contending for the faith.
  190. 13:47That has been once and for all passed down to the saints
  191. 13:49to do what the scripture says, be on the alert.
  192. 13:53One of the things I endeavor to do on this program is to sound the alarm, to help you remain informed
  193. 13:59of the various things that are happening in our society.
  194. 14:04Because we all have lives that are busy, we have things going on, and you can't follow
  195. 14:09every little thing at every point of the day.
  196. 14:11Well, that's why we're here to help in that regard.
  197. 14:13Be on the alert.
  198. 14:15Stand firm in the faith.
  199. 14:18Christ following and cowardice are mutually exclusive.
  200. 14:23You cannot be in the disciple of Jesus Christ and be a coward at the same time.
  201. 14:27Cannot do it.
  202. 14:28Cannot do it.
  203. 14:31Act like men.
  204. 14:32Be strong.
  205. 14:33And let all that you do be done in love.
  206. 14:36And this is what must remain our anchor.
  207. 14:39That we don't get hopped up in the flesh.
  208. 14:41The apostle James told us the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.
  209. 14:46But it is the love of God that compels us to compel men to be reconciled to God.
  210. 14:54What is what we're going to be about here on American Family Radio?
  211. 15:00American Family Association founder Don Wildman saw signs of the times long ago.
  212. 15:06At the turn of the century, he wrote these words, which ring even more true today.
  213. 15:12A dark cloud has descended on America.
  214. 15:16This cloud has left us unable to tell right from wrong.
  215. 15:20In pursuit of what is called politically correct, tolerant and diverse, we have not only permitted
  216. 15:26but promoted a way of life that should we continue to follow it,
  217. 15:31will ultimately destroy this grand experiment we call America.
  218. 15:36There is a way to live this cloud of darkness,
  219. 15:39a light to show the way.
  220. 15:41Jesus said, I am the light of the world.
  221. 15:44Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
  222. 15:48but will have the light of life.
  223. 15:51We need to do the best we can to follow that light
  224. 15:54and share him with others.
  225. 15:56a reminder from the American Family Association.
  226. 16:32Hello, I'm Abraham Hamilton III. Did you know that this content is listener supported? Without
  227. 16:37people like you, this podcast would not exist. That's why we need you. A generous monthly gift of any
  228. 16:43amount will help sustain American Family Radio and specifically this podcast. Please consider
  229. 16:48becoming a monthly financial partner today by visiting aFR.net slash give. That's aFR.net slash
  230. 16:55give.
  231. 17:02Shari Thon continues on American Family Radio.
  232. 17:06Let's stand firm in the faith and do everything in love.
  233. 17:20Call now at 877-616-2396 or give online at aFR.net.
  234. 17:28And thank you for partnering with AFR during Shari Thon.
  235. 17:33Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner.
  236. 17:36This is the Shareathon Edition, day one of the fall Shareathon 2026 Abraham Hamilton the
  237. 17:42third is my name, the number to call to make your pledge is 877-616-2396.
  238. 17:51Again the number to call to make your gift is 877-616-2396 or you can give securely online
  239. 18:01at aFR.net, that is aFR.net.
  240. 18:06You know, I was listening during the break and the voice who was describing AFR's founder,
  241. 18:13Don Wildman, was our brother, Mark Ose.
  242. 18:15And he was talking about Brother Don's clarity and the vision that God gave him.
  243. 18:20And I remember listening to one of the spots where he said that if we don't contend in this
  244. 18:26spiritual war that's described as a cultural war, we're going to have a hedonist, godless
  245. 18:3186 society. Now he said this in the 80s, in the 80s, in the 90s, and then look at where we are
  246. 18:40today. It was clear that he could see what we would face and which is why one of the things
  247. 18:46that God moved him to do was to start the radio network so that we would have a direct source
  248. 18:52to communicate a biblical worldview. That is why this radio ministry began in 1991,
  249. 18:58And by God's grace, it continues to this day in your material support by calling 877-616-2396
  250. 19:09is one of the things that God uses to keep this radio ministry afloat and continuing.
  251. 19:16Not just afloat, but thriving 877-616-2396 is the number to call or you can give securely
  252. 19:25online by going to a fr.net. Well, there were some things that happened just today. Some
  253. 19:34of you might recall back in 2009, November 5, 2009, when then major Nadal Hassan, who
  254. 19:45was a U.S. Army major and also a psychiatrist, right? Psychiatrist, mental health professional.
  255. 19:56I can't remember a psychiatrist, a psychologist, but I believe he's a psychiatrist.
  256. 20:02And he took it upon himself at Fort Hood to discharge his firearm into a crowded space
  257. 20:15filled with our soldiers, killing 12 U.S. Army soldiers and one civilian, wounding 32 others.
  258. 20:24And some of you might recall that then President Barack Obama refused to describe it as a terrorist
  259. 20:29attack, even though witnesses testified, and when I say testified, I literally mean immediately
  260. 20:36during the incident and at a trial thereafter because Nadal Hassan was ultimately tried by,
  261. 20:42tried in military court and was sentenced, in fact, to death in 2013.
  262. 20:48But even with all of that, Barack Obama called it workplace violence.
  263. 20:52Remember that?
  264. 20:53violence even though the witnesses testified that he was yelling I want my
  265. 20:58snack bar while he's murdering American soldiers. Well today as a result of
  266. 21:07Secretary of War Pete Haggsess prompting and President Trump agreed to the
  267. 21:15president has now greenlit the firing squad for the Dow Hassan listen to and
  268. 21:22Watch clip number three, clip three, go.
  269. 21:25Chris, this news broke on social media just a couple of hours ago.
  270. 21:29I want you to take a look at what the chief Pentagon spokesman posted.
  271. 21:32Sean Parnell said Secretary Pete Haggset has recommended
  272. 21:35and President Trump has approved death by US Army firing squad
  273. 21:40for convicted terrorist, Nadal Malik Hassan.
  274. 21:43His post went on to say that the Secretary of the Army
  275. 21:46will set the time and place of the execution.
  276. 21:49In 2009, Adal Hassan was an army major at Fort Hood in Central Texas.
  277. 21:54He opened fire on unarmed fellow soldiers.
  278. 21:57He killed 13 people, wounded 32 others.
  279. 22:00In 2013, he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death.
  280. 22:04He has been in a federal prison in Kansas ever since.
  281. 22:08What is good money?
  282. 22:10Yes.
  283. 22:11So even though he had a conviction, criminal conviction, an assentance had to be applied,
  284. 22:18The assentants had been delivered.
  285. 22:21The application of that sentence has not been carried out to date.
  286. 22:25Well, that changes now as you heard in the clip there.
  287. 22:29Acting US Army Secretary Adam Tell is responsible for determining the date
  288. 22:35of the fire and squad execution.
  289. 22:38And according to military law, the execution date must fall within 60 to 150 days
  290. 22:44from the date of the president's approval.
  291. 22:46All right.
  292. 22:47So I'm sharing that with you for a couple of reasons.
  293. 22:50Let me mention, as I'm discussing this,
  294. 22:52the number to call is 877-616-2396.
  295. 22:57That is the number to call to make your gift 877-616-2396
  296. 23:03is the number to call, or you can give securely online
  297. 23:06by going to afr.net.
  298. 23:09That is afr.net because we wanna share truth.
  299. 23:13We wanna be alert.
  300. 23:15We wanna encourage you to stand firm.
  301. 23:17we want to encourage you to act in love, never allow your engagement to be divorced
  302. 23:22from the love of Christ and what Christ commands of us.
  303. 23:25But it is because we love God that we love our neighbors.
  304. 23:28And I love for God and our neighbors what compels us to engage.
  305. 23:31Now getting back to Nadal Hassan, some of you were surprised to know that he was still alive.
  306. 23:38You know, I didn't know he was still alive.
  307. 23:40And that means that the US taxpayers have been footing the bill for him,
  308. 23:45even though we clearly know that he had acquitted himself as an enemy of our nation, as a terrorist.
  309. 23:52And I wanted to bring a couple things to your attention because, as I was mentioning earlier,
  310. 23:58the effort to kind of encroach upon the body of Christ to get us to embrace ungodly ideologies
  311. 24:04to where their people say, well Abraham, how can you be pro-life and yet you support the
  312. 24:08death penalty?
  313. 24:09First of all, because of the scripture.
  314. 24:11That's why.
  315. 24:13there's a distinction between murder and killing. Murder as commanded, as prohibited,
  316. 24:19I should say, by the ten commandments, the sixth commandment particularly, prohibits the
  317. 24:25unlawful termination of innocent human life. When you have the adjudication of criminal penalty
  318. 24:34for one who has taken the life of one, let alone thirteen image bearers of God, that criminal
  319. 24:41So penalty being adjudicated is not biblically speaking murder.
  320. 24:47All right.
  321. 24:48So going all the way back, starting in the book of Genesis, and this is why biblical worldview
  322. 24:52is important.
  323. 24:53Genesis chapter nine.
  324. 24:55All right.
  325. 24:56Genesis chapter nine, verse six tells us, and this is after the flood account.
  326. 25:03Genesis chapter nine, verse six, and this is important.
  327. 25:05You may want to share this with your friends and loved ones, but this is God, not me.
  328. 25:09this is God saying this. Genesis 9, 6, whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be
  329. 25:17shed. In the name, sorry, in the image of God, he made man. For in the image of God, he made
  330. 25:25man. See what's happening in our society, there's been such a devaluing of human life.
  331. 25:32There's been a diminishment of an understanding of the sacredness of human life. And the purpose
  332. 25:38of this as the scripture bears us out was not merely to protect society from the murderer.
  333. 25:43Known the purpose of this was to drive the notion of slaying God's image bearers from
  334. 25:50the midst of his people to drive that evil out.
  335. 25:54All right.
  336. 25:55Then from Genesis from Genesis from Old Testament to New Testament, you see that consistency.
  337. 26:00Then in Romans 12, particularly verses 19 to 21, the inspired word of God through the
  338. 26:05Apostle Paul, the Lord prohibits vigilante justice.
  339. 26:10This is where the Lord says, don't repay evil for evil.
  340. 26:13Vengeance mind says to the Lord, I will repay.
  341. 26:17Well, then you go into chapter 13,
  342. 26:18remembering there's no chapter and verse demarcations
  343. 26:21in the original manuscripts.
  344. 26:24While the Lord says, vengeance mind says to the Lord,
  345. 26:26I will repay no vigilante justice, no vigilantism.
  346. 26:30Then from his 13, the Lord says, government is my
  347. 26:34minister to reward righteousness and to punish the wicked.
  348. 26:39And you get to Romans 13, verses 3 and 4, the Lord says that if you want no fear of government,
  349. 26:44then do what is right.
  350. 26:46Because government is an avenger of God to bring God's wrath upon the evil doer, for it
  351. 26:54does not bear the sword in vain.
  352. 26:56What do you think the sword was used for in first century Rome?
  353. 26:59So Abraham, how could you entrust such a task to fall in human beings?
  354. 27:05Guys, do you realize that the Romans 13 text was articulated in the time period where Nero
  355. 27:10was the head of the Roman government?
  356. 27:12You think God was unaware that Nero probably is not the best person to have the responsibility
  357. 27:17at the head of government that is tasked with carrying out justice as a minister of God?
  358. 27:23God establishes this in spite of man's fallenness.
  359. 27:29Then you have text in Ecclesiastes chapter 8, and I want to read this to you because this
  360. 27:35is what's kind of been lost upon us, but that you want to talk about in an injustice.
  361. 27:40This is something that has the capacity to cause our society to lose our bearings.
  362. 27:49In Ecclesiastes chapter 8 verse 11, look at what the text says, because the sentence against
  363. 27:55an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are
  364. 28:01are given fully to evil.
  365. 28:04Guys, if Nadal Asan had an adjudication of guilt
  366. 28:07with the sentence of death in 2013,
  367. 28:09why did Taxpayer still pay for him?
  368. 28:12And make no mistake, I'm not saying this should be
  369. 28:13entered into callously, I'm not saying this should be
  370. 28:16entered into rashly, but the scripture, not me,
  371. 28:20not my opinion, the scripture says.
  372. 28:24The failure to execute a sentence,
  373. 28:26because the sentence is not executed readily,
  374. 28:29therefore the hearts of the sons and men among them
  375. 28:31are given more fully to evil.
  376. 28:33What I'm saying, folks, is that we have to get beyond being really emotional about things.
  377. 28:37We have to be biblical.
  378. 28:39I would argue and submit to you that the delay of the application when the death penalty is
  379. 28:44rightly and justly, meet it out.
  380. 28:46All right.
  381. 28:48And the people will say, well, Abraham, what about when they make a mistake?
  382. 28:50Guys, that is so rare.
  383. 28:53It's so rare.
  384. 28:54It does happen, but it's rare.
  385. 28:58But God is one who says government is a minister of justice on this behalf.
  386. 29:01So the decision to re-institute the application of the sentence that Nadaha Saan himself earned
  387. 29:07by his wicked conduct is actually an exercise in righteous justice.
  388. 29:13Again, the number to call is 877-616-3996, that number is 877-6162-396.
  389. 29:23This is not something that should be weighted into casually.
  390. 29:28This is not something that should be haphazardly pursued.
  391. 29:31If you would say that you're uncomfortable with the death penalty, you can have that opinion,
  392. 29:35but you just need to understand that that is not a biblical opinion.
  393. 29:38Don't try to put that on the scriptures because the scriptures does not support that perspective.
  394. 29:43All right?
  395. 29:44And if we're going to be biblical, we need to be biblical thoroughly and comprehensively.
  396. 29:48877-616-2396 is the number to call 877-616-2396 or you can give securely online by going
  397. 30:00to a fr.net a fr.net. Let's take a few moments to listen to this testimony from a fellow listener.
  398. 30:09Go. As a female mom, a poor girl, foreign to me daily without even realizing it. I listen
  399. 30:18on my way to work on the rural male care here and it gives me hope for my morning time.
  400. 30:26And when I start my daily rail, I listen all day long.
  401. 30:29When I get off work, I listen on the way home.
  402. 30:33You are on my radio all day long.
  403. 30:36I am so thankful for all the warnings that y'all contribute to.
  404. 30:42You are winning total pride and won't know exactly the impact until we all just live
  405. 30:50I just pray that God continues to live.
  406. 30:54Give her one at AFR.
  407. 31:01Wow, praise God.
  408. 31:02Man, that is, again, what you're supporting when you support this work.
  409. 31:06Here you have this woman who's a single mom and the Lord has allowed her to get connected
  410. 31:12with AFR and it becomes a support line for her and her family has been serving to raise
  411. 31:17her four girls.
  412. 31:1887616-239-6 is the number to call 877-616-2396 is the number to call or you can give securely
  413. 31:31online at aFR.net.
  414. 31:34That is aFR.net.
  415. 31:37This is a great opportunity to do so.
  416. 31:39Fall Shareathon 2026, this is day one of the Shareathon just getting started with this falls
  417. 31:49Sharethon. All right. One other thing that is just in the news, several things really,
  418. 31:55and I want to spend some time on this as we continue to discuss the reality of Sharethon.
  419. 32:00I'm going to talk a little bit on the other side of the break, some of the things that are available
  420. 32:04as a thank you from us to you for your gifts because we recognize that you work hard for what you earn,
  421. 32:13and we don't take for granted the people who join us in supporting the work here. So we want to say
  422. 32:19we thank you in addition to doing what we do,
  423. 32:22and we'll get to that on the other side of the break
  424. 32:24in the next segment.
  425. 32:25But one of the things I wanted to bring to your attention,
  426. 32:27and I alluded to it earlier,
  427. 32:29is from Justice Samuel Alito.
  428. 32:32And so he has a book coming out,
  429. 32:34and the title of the book is so ordered,
  430. 32:36and the book consists of a 19 speeches
  431. 32:39he's delivered over the years.
  432. 32:41And he says that by reading this book,
  433. 32:44you get a clarity concerning his judicial philosophy,
  434. 32:48and his outlook on
  435. 32:50uh... our country now as you know
  436. 32:52uh... he is one of the most consistent
  437. 32:55and reliably consistent
  438. 32:57constitutionalists on the u-s supreme court
  439. 32:59and as
  440. 33:01uh... he was describing his book
  441. 33:04he talked about one of the speeches he delivered back in twenty eighteen three
  442. 33:07years after the obrigo felt decision was made
  443. 33:10during which he said
  444. 33:11that the turning point the turning point
  445. 33:15uh... towards hostility against religious liberty in our country
  446. 33:18came directly as a result of same-sex marriage.
  447. 33:22His argument was that it is because of the Obergefell decision that we saw following that
  448. 33:29overt hostile displays by governments primarily against religious freedom that led to a bevy
  449. 33:36of litigation before the U.S. Supreme Court listened to and watched this clip from Justice
  450. 33:42Alito.
  451. 33:43It's clip number two, clip two.
  452. 33:44Go.
  453. 33:45Before the pandemic, there was growing hostility to the expression of unfashionable views.
  454. 33:51And that too was a surprising development.
  455. 33:53Here's a marker.
  456. 33:54In 1972, a comedian George Carlin began to perform a routine called, The Seven Words You
  457. 34:00Can't Say On TV.
  458. 34:03Today you can see shows on your TV screen in which the dialogue appears at time to consist
  459. 34:08almost entirely of those words.
  460. 34:11Carlin's list seems like a quaint relic.
  461. 34:14But it would be easy to put together a new list called things you can't say if you're
  462. 34:19a student or professor at a college or university or an employee of many big corporations.
  463. 34:25And there wouldn't be just seven items on that list.
  464. 34:28Seventy times seven would be closer to the mark.
  465. 34:32I won't go down the list, but I'll mention one that I've discussed in a published opinion.
  466. 34:37You can't say that marriage is a union between one man and one woman.
  467. 34:42Very recently that's what the vast majority of Americans thought.
  468. 34:47Now it's considered bigotry.
  469. 34:49That this would happen after our decision in Obergefell should not have come as a surprise.
  470. 34:55Yes, the opinion of a court included words meant to calm the fears of those who cling
  471. 35:01to traditional views on marriage.
  472. 35:03But I could see, and so did the other justices in dissent, where the decision would lead.
  473. 35:09I wrote the following.
  474. 35:11I assume that those who cling to old beliefs will be able to whisper their thoughts in the
  475. 35:17recesses of their homes.
  476. 35:19But if they repeat those views in public, they will risk being labeled as bigots and treated
  477. 35:24as such by governments, employers and schools.
  478. 35:30Executive Vice President Ed Bittagliato
  479. 35:32I came to AFA in 1996.
  480. 35:36Now I have been paying attention to politics and culture since I had been in like the seventh
  481. 35:41grade.
  482. 35:42What I discovered when I came here to AFA is what a lot of people, I think,
  483. 35:47discover when they start listening to American Family Radio or start reading
  484. 35:51the magazine or they familiarize themselves with the content produced by AFA.
  485. 35:57I found out what a lot of those folks find out.
  486. 36:00And that is there were serious issues,
  487. 36:04even back in 1996, serious cultural trends
  488. 36:09and serious spiritual trends which were posing an existential threat to liberty in this country
  489. 36:19and our foundational principles and to the Christian faith.
  490. 36:24And so as I began to do research and read and pay closer attention to what was going on,
  491. 36:32I realized that the threat was dire and the future could be grim if Christians did not
  492. 36:40get involved.
  493. 36:41The fact that American Family Radio is a Christian minister, we're not just a political
  494. 36:46ministry, we're not just a cultural ministry, we are a Christian ministry.
  495. 36:52So the calling for people who work here, who listen, who follow the prompts of our action
  496. 37:01and alerts online who get involved in the culture around them.
  497. 37:05This is a Christian endeavor.
  498. 37:07We care about the souls of the people around us, and we care about the soul of our nation.
  499. 37:13So yes, these kinds of things that are happening in our country can weigh on folks.
  500. 37:21But the fact that this ministry is bathed in prayer, that it is focused on the Word of
  501. 37:27God gives great encouragement even in the midst of the battle.
  502. 37:32So we ask people to come alongside American family radio and in a sense work with us.
  503. 37:38It's kind of shoulder to shoulder on the battle line, loving our enemies but also standing firm
  504. 37:45for the truth.
  505. 37:46So we depend on people supporting us financially.
  506. 37:51I always loved what Brother Don always said on the air during Sharethon.
  507. 37:55would say, we're not going to treat our listeners like kids, they're adults and they understand
  508. 38:02it takes money to fund a ministry like this. But I can't think of anything more worthy of
  509. 38:11the support of Christians other than the work of the church itself. As a non-profit organization,
  510. 38:20and family radio is on the front lines.
  511. 38:23And we go, we go where no one else wants to go a lot of times.
  512. 38:28And we talk about things that nobody else wants to talk about
  513. 38:31because it's important.
  514. 38:32These things are important to discuss.
  515. 38:35And as people kind of tune in to AFR,
  516. 38:38they find out what's really happening.
  517. 38:41And we take that responsibility seriously.
  518. 38:53Five and a half years ago, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
  519. 38:57They told me 30% chance of making it five years.
  520. 39:00So I'm in my second five now,
  521. 39:03and for the last five years,
  522. 39:05I've been medically retired, unable to work.
  523. 39:08During that time, here at 4U of all been remarkably
  524. 39:14faithful companions for me.
  525. 39:16I had the pleasure of getting to Tupelo with my wife,
  526. 39:19and we got to meet some of the folks
  527. 39:22behind the voices I hear every day.
  528. 39:24And I thank you for the encouragement that you are to so many.
  529. 39:31I thank you for your devotion to God's work.
  530. 39:35I thank you for your accountability for our culture.
  531. 39:42I thank you for being brothers and sisters that make not just me proud, but you do our
  532. 39:50Lord proud.
  533. 39:51Christ is my firm foundation.
  534. 40:01It's Share-a-Thon on American Family Radio,
  535. 40:04and we're standing firm in the faith
  536. 40:06and doing everything in love.
  537. 40:08Call now at 877-616-2396,
  538. 40:12or give online at aFR.net.
  539. 40:15And thank you for your support of AFR during Share-a-Thon.
  540. 40:20Wow, welcome back to Share-a-Thon,
  541. 40:22Fall, 2026, day one edition of the Hamilton Corner,
  542. 40:28what a testimony, the scripture talks about mourning with those who mourn and weeping with
  543. 40:32those who weep and seeing an application of that in a sense where this brother suffered
  544. 40:39a severe diagnosis and was declared medically unable to work about how he found comfort and
  545. 40:47collegiality through the radio.
  546. 40:50That's just an amazing testimony.
  547. 40:52The number to call is 877-616-239-6.
  548. 40:57That number again is 877-616-2396.
  549. 41:02You can call, you will not be transferred to someone overseas.
  550. 41:09When you call, you will get someone right here
  551. 41:12in our home office at Chanton Central,
  552. 41:15which is right in our devotions room.
  553. 41:17And I mentioned in the previous hour,
  554. 41:19one of the things that we get the benefit
  555. 41:20to participate in here in American Family Radio
  556. 41:23is that each workday begins with the time of devotion
  557. 41:27where we turn to God's word and to pray to begin our workday
  558. 41:31to anchor ourselves in God's word
  559. 41:33before we start engaging in our various tasks.
  560. 41:37And so, Sheraton Central actually is in our devotion room
  561. 41:41right now, 8, 7, 7, 6, 1, 6, 2, 3, 9, 6,
  562. 41:45is the number to call
  563. 41:46or you can give securely online at a f r dot net now i was referring to justice
  564. 41:53samuel elito's
  565. 41:54uh... assertion
  566. 41:56that the obriga felt decision
  567. 41:59was the launch point for
  568. 42:02all manner of hostility towards religious liberty in our nation so as a
  569. 42:06counterpoint someone puts back and say
  570. 42:09but there's been such a a s
  571. 42:11a spade of religious freedom cases
  572. 42:13that have been favorable towards
  573. 42:16religious practitioners people of faith in this country
  574. 42:19and so they would say
  575. 42:22just as a lead-o's
  576. 42:24position is much to do about nothing to which i would give you this gentle push
  577. 42:28back
  578. 42:30that if you haven't noticed
  579. 42:31that it was a burger fell that precipitated all of the litigation and
  580. 42:34made it up to the spring court
  581. 42:36and if
  582. 42:37our constitutional freedoms
  583. 42:40are a supreme court decision away
  584. 42:43from being eviscerated
  585. 42:45i think the justices opinion is validated in that
  586. 42:49because our constitutional republic was never meant
  587. 42:52to have the supreme court continuously
  588. 42:55adjudicating our domestic policy positions
  589. 42:59never was meant to be that
  590. 43:01that's why you have been fed over seventy eight for example
  591. 43:03alexander hamilton saying that the judiciary the federal judiciary
  592. 43:07having neither force nor will
  593. 43:08will be the least threatening source of government government of power in our
  594. 43:12country
  595. 43:13well how that
  596. 43:14how's that
  597. 43:15federal 78 assertion aged
  598. 43:18now i would say that the fact that you have so many things that had to be brought
  599. 43:22into the supreme court
  600. 43:23is evidence
  601. 43:24of what just as elito said
  602. 43:26actually coming to fruition
  603. 43:29i found it's never intended for all about the the freedom that we enjoy to hang by
  604. 43:32thread
  605. 43:33the threat of a five to four decision
  606. 43:36the u.s. supreme court
  607. 43:38so i think
  608. 43:39justice elito
  609. 43:41has been proven right
  610. 43:43just as he said in
  611. 43:45his descent in a burger fell just as he said in the speech we played a clip of
  612. 43:49just now
  613. 43:50and just as he said in interviews that he had just
  614. 43:53just recently again the number calls eight seven seven
  615. 43:56six one six
  616. 43:57two three
  617. 43:59nine six we get to another listening testimony in a few minutes
  618. 44:02get by the queue up for me eight seven seven six one six two
  619. 44:06three nine six is the number to call
  620. 44:09we will be here until six p.m. central time it's just about
  621. 44:12eleven minutes and fifteen seconds
  622. 44:15until we're done with day one of the spring, sorry, the fall, 2026,
  623. 44:21Sherathon here on the radio, 877-616-2396, or you can make your gift securely online by going to
  624. 44:33afr.net, that is, afr.net. I'm going to continue with some of the things that Justice Alito was
  625. 44:42saying because just as I stated here before when you had the
  626. 44:48Dobbs decision back in 2022 before the Supreme Court opinion,
  627. 44:52the final opinion was leaked. A draft of that. Sorry, before
  628. 44:56the final opinion was released. A draft of that opinion was leaked.
  629. 45:04And there's lots of questions. I had questions. How could it be
  630. 45:07leaked? There's only a very few amount of people who could have
  631. 45:11had access to it. So I don't think the investigation should be that difficult. You know, you had one
  632. 45:20of the justices who had a close, shall I say, confidant that had media access, you know.
  633. 45:30But Justice Alito was interviewed about this recently and he said that one of the things
  634. 45:36that has been most jarring for them as justices,
  635. 45:40is that the release of that opinion,
  636. 45:42for the justices that were in the majority,
  637. 45:44meaning who voted to overturn Roe versus Wade
  638. 45:46and Planned Parenthood versus Casey,
  639. 45:48that leak immediately made them targets for assassination.
  640. 45:53So much so to where one justice,
  641. 45:56Justice Alito's colleague Brett Kavanaugh,
  642. 45:59literally became the target of an assassination attempt.
  643. 46:05I want you to hear Justice Alito discussing this,
  644. 46:08Listen to and watch this video. It's clip number one, clip one, go.
  645. 46:38the most extreme forms. And I never dreamed that the draft of the opinion would be leaked.
  646. 46:46That was totally unprecedented in the history of the country. It was a grave breach of the trust
  647. 46:54that everybody who worked in this building had before that point. And it very predictably made
  648. 47:02the five of us in the majority targets for assassination and nearly resulted in the assassination of my
  649. 47:10colleague Brett Kavanaugh. Do you have an opinion about who you think the leaker was? I do have an opinion, but the evidence
  650. 47:21available at this time is not strong enough for the court or for me to say this is the person who was responsible.
  651. 47:29Very, very, very interesting.
  652. 47:33One of the things that struck me from this, and again, the number to call is 87761623968776162396
  653. 47:45to make your gift, or you can give securely online by going to AFR.net.
  654. 47:51That is AFR.net.
  655. 47:54One of the things that struck me from Justice Alito's interview was that he said that the
  656. 47:57The leak was a, quote, grave breach of the trust that everybody who worked in this building
  657. 48:04had before that point had what is it like now?
  658. 48:13Well, in quote, I should have said, what is it like now working in the court?
  659. 48:17Well, you know, with the reality of our nation, he said it was quite predictable that the justices
  660. 48:26in the majority would be made targets for assassination.
  661. 48:29you had one of your colleagues on the bench presumably or a staff member for one of your
  662. 48:34colleagues on the bench who might not have done that unless they felt like the justice
  663. 48:40for whom they worked what is okay with it.
  664. 48:42I don't know that speculation but at a minimum either one of the colleagues on the bench or
  665. 48:47one of the staffers for one of your colleagues on the bench thought so little of your life
  666. 48:52that they were willing to leak this opinion.
  667. 48:55What do you think that's like?
  668. 48:58You think they get in tea and going,
  669. 48:59you think they're playing a, what do you call it,
  670. 49:02pick a ball, you think they're playing pick a ball together?
  671. 49:06You think the pick a ball partnerships might have changed?
  672. 49:09After that, that is interesting to me
  673. 49:12because he is publicly discussing the deterioration
  674. 49:15and the erosion of trust amongst the Supreme Court.
  675. 49:19Guys, that's a small group of people.
  676. 49:22That's a small group of people.
  677. 49:23Then in addition to that, he went on to say that,
  678. 49:25yeah, I know, I think I know who it is.
  679. 49:27You know how translate right?
  680. 49:29I think I know who it is.
  681. 49:33Now though he said the evidence doesn't seem to be
  682. 49:35of the substance to be able to do something formally,
  683. 49:41yet is what he said.
  684. 49:44What do you think is like working with somebody
  685. 49:45when you hit him with the Sophie Cunningham finger?
  686. 49:49I know you did it.
  687. 49:51I know you, you the one.
  688. 49:54I know you did it.
  689. 49:55I gotta have more calories.
  690. 49:56You did it, you did it, you did it.
  691. 50:00I know you did it.
  692. 50:01What do you think is like working with them?
  693. 50:03You know?
  694. 50:06You, you did it, you, say what you want, you did it.
  695. 50:11What do you think is like having Supreme Court deliberations
  696. 50:15when they're having their meetings,
  697. 50:16when they're discussing these cases and backing them out,
  698. 50:18you know, this is the joke right here.
  699. 50:20This joke was cool when I was getting shot.
  700. 50:23Zip tie.
  701. 50:24This one right here, this one right here,
  702. 50:27Him, right? Yeah. Him or her. They're the ones who did it. Guys, this is a very, very wild,
  703. 50:34wild thing to have this kind of insight into what's happening in the courts. 87616-239-6
  704. 50:44is the number to call 877-616-239-6, or you can get securely online by going to aFR.net.
  705. 50:54is aFR.net. Let's take a few minutes now to listen to another listener testimony as they
  706. 51:00share how AFR and what AFR has meant to them.
  707. 51:04Hi, this is Lisa McEw. I'm calling from Hutchinson, Kansas. I regularly turn on American Family
  708. 51:10Radio when I'm working in the kitchen or I'm driving in the car. I'm also a monthly supporter
  709. 51:16and I just really needed some encouragement. I am a widow with an adult daughter with special
  710. 51:22who's gone through a particularly difficult year.
  711. 51:25So I turned on the radio yesterday afternoon
  712. 51:27to Dr. Nershwama who was interviewing
  713. 51:30Bida Rosenberger with Hope for the Caregiver,
  714. 51:33which I regularly listened to.
  715. 51:35But it was just what I needed to hear at just the right time.
  716. 51:38And I had prayed like,
  717. 51:39well, I just need to encourage him.
  718. 51:40And I turned the radio on and below it provided encouragement
  719. 51:44to that program.
  720. 51:45So often he does that when I turn on the radio station
  721. 51:49and just lift my heart and helps me to keep moving forward with the Lord.
  722. 51:53Wow, that really, wow, what an encouragement.
  723. 51:59That testimony was encouraging.
  724. 52:00Here she was, you know, a widow with an adult daughter with special needs and really crying
  725. 52:06out to the Lord almost like Hannah, you know, in the Scripture and saying she just really
  726. 52:12needed some encouragement.
  727. 52:13So she turns on the radio and I know everybody listening may not know the AFR lineup, you
  728. 52:20know, back to back or know it by memory. But Peter Rosenberger's program, Hope for the
  729. 52:26caregiver, usually airs on the weekends. And to be able to turn in during the week. And
  730. 52:32God within his divine providence would have Dr. Nurse Mama's guest that day to be Peter
  731. 52:39Rosenberger during the week. At that afternoon time slot, it's just, it's just providential
  732. 52:45and it ended up being exactly what this system needed.
  733. 52:49That's just amazing.
  734. 52:50I love hearing testimonies like that.
  735. 52:54In being here, I get to hear them quite frequently.
  736. 52:57And listen to testimonies that we're playing.
  737. 52:59I have not heard them in advance.
  738. 53:01So I'm reacting to them in real time.
  739. 53:04But to just see how good our God is
  740. 53:06to where he is transcendent,
  741. 53:08that he is the majestic, awesome, omnipotent omniscient God
  742. 53:12while simultaneously being imminent.
  743. 53:15He is Emmanuel God with us.
  744. 53:17And for this sister, he provided exactly what she needed
  745. 53:20right at that very moment.
  746. 53:23It is a wonderful, wonderful thing to hear
  747. 53:26and to be reminded of that God knows the cries of our hearts.
  748. 53:31And so by having programming available like this,
  749. 53:34that it's beyond really the ability to describe
  750. 53:39that we're able to be there for one another in such a way
  751. 53:41to where God uses programming like that show
  752. 53:44for this sister to give her exactly what she needed.
  753. 53:47Because many of you are just listening right now,
  754. 53:49we all experience times when we're just like,
  755. 53:51man, we just need a little bit of encouragement.
  756. 53:53We need a little push.
  757. 53:55We need a little bump, if you will, to move us forward.
  758. 54:00And what we know to be true intellectually,
  759. 54:02but it's not always easy to put into practice.
  760. 54:04But God gives us these moments of encouragement
  761. 54:07to hearten us and to strengthen us,
  762. 54:09to go forward and do what it is that we know we need to do.
  763. 54:14And I want to remind you as well, as we're definitely soliciting support, material support
  764. 54:19for the work of AFR.
  765. 54:20Man, if you have caregivers in your lives, please keep them lifted up before the Lord.
  766. 54:25Pray for the caregivers in your lives that you know of who are caring for others, loved ones,
  767. 54:32adult children, spouses, parents.
  768. 54:36Please lift them up.
  769. 54:37And if you are able, not if as you are able, offer them a bit of support as well.
  770. 54:42877-616-2396 is the number. Lord willing, we'll be back tomorrow.
