  10. 0:28And now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everybody.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  13. 0:36I'm your lovable, huggable host, Abraham Hamilton III,
  14. 0:40joined by the corner contingent right across from me,
  15. 0:42my man, 100 grand.
  16. 0:44Mr. Bobby,
  17. 0:45We are ready to rock n roll with today's edition of the program.
  18. 0:56At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you are making your transition from your
  19. 1:00part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time jobs where you cultivate
  20. 1:05an outcome.
  21. 1:06And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the
  22. 1:12the primacy that God places on family,
  23. 1:14recognizing the privilege that you get to enjoy
  24. 1:18and being his hands and feet,
  25. 1:20starting first in your home.
  26. 1:22Because what goes on in your house
  27. 1:25is far more important than what goes on in the White House.
  28. 1:27I know there's conversations right now
  29. 1:29about Trump meeting Putin to address
  30. 1:33the Ukrainian war situation.
  31. 1:36That is certainly an important matter,
  32. 1:38but it's not more important what's going on in your home
  33. 1:40for you. It's not more important than what's going on in my home for me because I'm directly
  34. 1:45responsible what happens in my house. You are directly responsible for what happens in your
  35. 1:50home. We are not directly responsible for what happens in Ukraine, but all too often we
  36. 1:58have succumbed to the siren song of the society to play significance and importance everywhere
  37. 2:05else. I was out yesterday attending in some legal matters on behalf of the ministry,
  38. 2:14but I've been just praying and pondering the status of affairs, the stage of affairs in our
  39. 2:23nation and the state of the church in our nation because simply put, this is not my opinion.
  40. 2:32The Lord told us in His word that He ordained His church to be the pillar and ground of
  41. 2:37truth. The Lord has told us in his word that the manifold wisdom of God would be
  42. 2:42put on display by his church. Like it or not, Jesus has ordained his church to be
  43. 2:50the vehicle through which he asserts himself and establishes his kingdom. And
  44. 3:01I've been honestly lamenting a degree to which lamenting to a degree about the
  45. 3:10reality that I think in many instances the church doesn't understand just how potent God
  46. 3:15has ordained the body to be.
  47. 3:19Secondarily, I don't think many understand the role that God has ordained the body to play
  48. 3:24in the world but in particular in our nation.
  49. 3:27Acts 17 says he determines the boundaries of our habitation and the times in which we
  50. 3:32would live.
  51. 3:33I think this kind of, um, escape this orientation combined by this effort to, we're above the
  52. 3:43fray, you know, it's like, how are you above the fray when you're called to make disciples
  53. 3:48in the culture where God has placed you?
  54. 3:52This, this notion we're above the fray, but at the same time, you have people saying, but
  55. 3:55the church should be a hospital, which is not to be a hospital.
  56. 3:58But we certainly deal with broken people, but not for the purposes of perpetuating the brokenness.
  57. 4:07And so I'm gravely concerned because the whole notion Satan knows is in.
  58. 4:17I've explained before when Jesus enters the Gatorian region in the Demaniac in Gdara before
  59. 4:24Jesus even comes to him, he begins to quake and says, son of man, son of God, have you
  60. 4:31come to torment us before our time, which reveals that the demons know that their end
  61. 4:37is torment. But the devilish scheme is to try to deceive as many as possible so that they would join
  62. 4:46them in eternal damnation. And so Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church
  63. 4:55straight up full stop. So the demonic scheme then is to attempt to nullify and to
  64. 5:07The winner of the church's potency by infiltration.
  65. 5:10And this dates all the way back to the first century.
  66. 5:14The apostle Jude talked about false brethren having crept in unawares in the first century,
  67. 5:19perverted in the grace of God.
  68. 5:22And I'm greatly concerned because the same thing is happening now and not many of us even recognize
  69. 5:27it.
  70. 5:29Not enough I should say of us recognize it.
  71. 5:32Let's go to the word of God, the second king, chapter 23.
  72. 5:35I'll tell you plainly why I'm going there and in the context here.
  73. 5:40This is the portion of scripture that's recorded after King Josiah through Hylkiah's efforts,
  74. 5:48rediscovers the book of the law in the temple.
  75. 5:51The temple had been shut down.
  76. 5:53You've had that there were consistently wicked kings prior to Josiah.
  77. 6:00You had the wicked king, Manasseh, who was exceedingly wicked.
  78. 6:04And he followed, I would call the abandoned man, Cesar Caiya, who when he learned through
  79. 6:14prophecy that judgment was coming because he had opened the war machine and the treasury
  80. 6:23to the Babylonians.
  81. 6:24And the prophet Isaiah said, the same people who you just let roll up in here, they're going
  82. 6:28to come back and they're going to knock down and conquer everything.
  83. 6:31And they're going to carry off your own children.
  84. 6:33And Cesar goes, oh, that's a good word.
  85. 6:35He's not going to happen to me.
  86. 6:37What kind of man would be able to celebrate that his children and his grandchildren and
  87. 6:42his great-grandchildren will be made slaves and eunuchs in a pagan empire?
  88. 6:51Unsurprisingly, his son was exceedingly wicked.
  89. 6:56And so in 2 Kings 23, the Lord records for our benefits some of the reforms that Josiah
  90. 7:03implements after he discovers the book of the law, re-enters covenant with Yahweh, but
  91. 7:08shows you just how bad things have become in Judah in general, but their specific observations
  92. 7:15made about the temple.
  93. 7:17And this is what the word of God says.
  94. 7:19Second Kings 23 verse 4, then the king that is Josiah, commanded He'll Kiah the priest,
  95. 7:25the hide priest and the priests of the second order and the doorkeepers to bring out of the
  96. 7:34Temple of the Lord out of the temple of the Lord
  97. 7:39All the vessels that were made for by all
  98. 7:44for ashara
  99. 7:46And for all the host of heaven
  100. 7:49And he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the kiddran and carried their ashes to bethel
  101. 7:56He did away with the idolatrous
  102. 7:59priests
  103. 8:00Let's say that again. He did away with the idolatrous priests
  104. 8:04whom the kings of Judah had appointed to burn incense in the high places, in the cities
  105. 8:12of Judah, and in the surrounding area of Jerusalem. Also those who burned incense to
  106. 8:19Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the constellations, and to all the hosts of
  107. 8:27heaven. He brought out the asherah from the house of the Lord, from the house of the
  108. 8:34the Lord. Outside the rules of them to the brookhedrin and burned it at the brookhedrin
  109. 8:41and ground it to dust and through its dust on the graves of the common people. He also
  110. 8:47brought down the houses of the male cult prostitutes which were in the house of the
  111. 8:56Lord where the women were weaving hangings for the ashara. Things in Judah, things in
  112. 9:12nation whose very name means praise things in the very nation whose forefather is the direct
  113. 9:25offspring of Israel, a descendant of Abraham whose name was changed to Abraham, things
  114. 9:36degenerated so fervently that upon Josiah's discovery, rediscovery of the book of the law,
  115. 9:50which the Lord had already said, every king of Israel is supposed to have his own copy,
  116. 9:55to make his own handmade copy, to keep this book of the law.
  117. 9:59Josiah was surprised to learn there was such thing.
  118. 10:03And then he had to command the High Priest to bring out of Yahweh's house, the same house
  119. 10:12that was dedicated under Solomon, that the glory of the Lord filled the temple so much
  120. 10:16so that the priests were unable to maneuver because the glory cloud was so thick, that
  121. 10:22same house. But at this stage, they had to remove the vessels that were used to worship
  122. 10:35by all from there. You had to remove idolatrous priests who regardless of what Yahweh ordained
  123. 10:46to be, the way priests are to be selected. Verse 5 shows that idolatrous priests were appointed
  124. 10:54by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places. They were ordained for idolatry
  125. 11:03ordained for idolatry burning incense to buy all in the Lord's temple, worshiping the sun in the Lord's temple, worshiping the moon in the Lord's temple.
  126. 11:16And if that's not enough, verse seven shows that there had to be a removal of cult prostitutes who were plying their trade in the Lord's temple,
  127. 11:28religiously legitimized prostitution in the house of God.
  128. 11:41No, of course, it's very easy to say,
  129. 11:42oh my gosh, what's happened there?
  130. 11:47Well, look at the visible church in our culture today.
  131. 11:49And I'm saying this with the backdrop,
  132. 11:51what did God O'Dane the church to be?
  133. 11:56The pillar and ground of truth.
  134. 12:00There's lots of conversations about,
  135. 12:01oh man, our political discourse has devolved
  136. 12:04to such a place, could it be?
  137. 12:08Because the bride that's O'Dane to be the pillar
  138. 12:11ground of truth has similarly rejected our first love.
  139. 12:20I mean, we just had the most recent phenomenon, unfortunately, with the United Methodist denomination,
  140. 12:28when they're straight up saying, we don't care what the Bible says.
  141. 12:31We not alone, not only are we going to sanction homosexuality.
  142. 12:35Now, I want to be clear, this is what the American United Methodist decided, the many others
  143. 12:40departed from there.
  144. 12:41You have the global Methodist movement that's departed from that, but you have this schism
  145. 12:46in a major American Christian denomination,
  146. 12:49because you have a significant contingent
  147. 12:51that happens to be a moneyed contingent that says,
  148. 12:54oh, we don't remember what the Bible says.
  149. 12:56We're gonna read the Bible the way we want it.
  150. 12:59We not only would accept homosexuality,
  151. 13:01we want to ordain homosexual clergy.
  152. 13:08Some of the same things I've said before,
  153. 13:10dating back to 1973, the Presbyterian denomination
  154. 13:12had a split over the same thing.
  155. 13:16You have rumblings, but those who are endeavoring
  156. 13:20to maintain the biblical inerity
  157. 13:22in the Southern Baptist nomination now, those who are wrestling in the other direction, this
  158. 13:26thing is happening with such consistency.
  159. 13:29We can see things got so bad in Israel's history, in Judah in particular, where you have
  160. 13:34male co-prostitutes in the Lord's house, in the Lord's house.
  161. 13:44And we have this diminishment of the witness and the clarity and the conviction, generally
  162. 13:50speaking, because I don't want anybody to misconstrue what I'm saying.
  163. 13:53I know for a fact that there's a remnant in America.
  164. 13:56But I'm talking about the broad representation, the most popular representations.
  165. 14:11And I'm saying our country and our society has suffered greatly because in many ways the
  166. 14:17church and our country has strayed, has strayed.
  167. 14:26And so we're left with the fallout from that is that we're left with political movements
  168. 14:32that by and large are often simply reactionary.
  169. 14:35Don't necessarily know what we should be pursuing.
  170. 14:37All I know is I don't like that.
  171. 14:39I don't like that.
  172. 14:40And let me just tell you, zealous reactionary dispositions
  173. 14:45are never visionary and are never sustainable.
  174. 14:49If we're gonna have a course correction in America,
  175. 14:53it has to come through the Lord's bride.
  176. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  177. 15:04What should a pro-life church look like?
  178. 15:07It's a church that will prayerfully consider encouraging members to volunteer at local pregnancy centers
  179. 15:12and to volunteer for other pro-life ministries.
  180. 15:16It's a church that would prayerfully consider supporting a baby clothes closet with diapers, clothes, wipes, and other needed items.
  181. 15:25It's a church that will prayerfully consider becoming a sanctuary church.
  182. 15:29They will help moms who find themselves expecting a baby at a difficult time.
  183. 15:33They will come alongside a mother who feels all alone
  184. 15:36and walk with her through her term of pregnancy and beyond.
  185. 15:39It's a church that will learn about important pro-life,
  186. 15:42outreach ministers that are doing vital work
  187. 15:44to in legalized abortion in different ways.
  188. 15:48Am I really seeking to honor the Lord
  189. 15:49in doing what he would have me to do
  190. 15:52as an individual disciple of Christ
  191. 15:54to help stand for life?
  192. 16:04Shiting light into the darkness,
  193. 16:07this is the Hamilton Quarter, an American family radio.
  194. 16:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner Abraham Hamilton the third here.
  195. 16:17I want to explain why I was, I started in second Kings 23,
  196. 16:23because I'm, I'm greatly concerned that, that things are happening.
  197. 16:26And I know they're concerted efforts following, you know,
  198. 16:29American industrialization, which on the one hand, I led to amazing prosperity.
  199. 16:34But on the other hand, it had an impact on the family unit, you know,
  200. 16:38and our lives are so busy in many, in many ways,
  201. 16:43The kind of the perpetual busyness is in and of itself a scheme to keep us distracted to keep us divided to keep us
  202. 16:52stratified and unable to really
  203. 16:55Stop and breathe for a moment, you know
  204. 16:58But I've made this point before the very same people who want to convince us that our nation that the United States of America
  205. 17:05Is the worst place in the world?
  206. 17:07It's you know, it's overrun with you know, you know, racist and all of these things at the exact same time
  207. 17:14These are the exact same people who are saying no no we need to have an open border
  208. 17:18We need to have as many people from other countries to come here as possible
  209. 17:21And and just forget the political rhetoric rhetoric rhetoric for a moment if you just stop it
  210. 17:27I said wait a minute
  211. 17:28Both of these things can't be true at the same time
  212. 17:31because if you if you think that our nation is just
  213. 17:35utterly horrible, right and
  214. 17:37And you have this overwhelming compassion for the foreigner.
  215. 17:44Why would you want to bring the foreigner
  216. 17:46to this horrible place?
  217. 17:47Why would you want that?
  218. 17:50Why would you want that?
  219. 17:53Because they don't really believe that.
  220. 17:57For them, that is a rhetorical device.
  221. 18:00It is a political cudgel that they wield,
  222. 18:02but they're wielding it for a particular purpose.
  223. 18:09One of the things, if you study, you know,
  224. 18:11the cadre of Marxist philosophers and theorizers you'll find for them,
  225. 18:16simply put the issue that is being discussed popularly is never the issue.
  226. 18:21It's never the issue.
  227. 18:23The issue that is being discussed is only being discussed for its usefulness
  228. 18:29to accomplish their ultimate agenda.
  229. 18:32So what is that agenda?
  230. 18:36We're living in a time and I've explained on this show.
  231. 18:39It's amazing that we don't have more conversations about it.
  232. 18:46Like why don't children in American school study pole pop?
  233. 18:49You know, why are American children don't know more
  234. 18:51about Stalin?
  235. 18:52Why don't American children know about Miles State Tongue?
  236. 18:54Why don't they know these things?
  237. 18:55Because there were people who intentionally infiltrated
  238. 18:59our American system of instruction
  239. 19:01who wanted to put a glossy positive for near-arm Marxism.
  240. 19:05That's why, that's why.
  241. 19:09So that you can have a populist
  242. 19:10who when you hear Zora Mamdani declare himself to be a socialist that you don't have immediately
  243. 19:14recoiling and saying, are you, get out of here.
  244. 19:19That's why.
  245. 19:22But for people who are regressive, they tend to know what they're moving toward.
  246. 19:28What I was alluding to earlier, I've talked about on this program, the, the, the, the
  247. 19:32Hegelian dialectical process, George Wilhelm, Friedrich Hegel, who actually was a teacher
  248. 19:39of Marx.
  249. 19:40Marx was a Hegel disciple in the Hegelian dialectical process.
  250. 19:46What is that process?
  251. 19:47Well, first of all, you have to remember that Hegel sought to move in the direction that
  252. 19:53later developed as Marxism, as I told you, Marx was a disciple of Hegel.
  253. 19:58I've explained before that Marx is not the author of socialistic thought, communist thought.
  254. 20:03He advocated for the utilization of violence, the implementation of violence as a tool to
  255. 20:08accomplish his objectives.
  256. 20:09But there were others before him like Hegel, for example.
  257. 20:13And it is from Hegel that we get this idea that, you know, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair and
  258. 20:18George W. Bush end up describing as a third way.
  259. 20:21Remember that the third way?
  260. 20:22What is the third way?
  261. 20:23The third way is the synthesis from the Gailion dialectical process.
  262. 20:27Those who remember our discussion of this, Hegel's assertion was that when you are a,
  263. 20:33I'll just say in my terms, a regressive, you introduce yourself, you introduce into the
  264. 20:38popular conversation into the body politic, the most extreme radical position that you
  265. 20:44truly want, but you expect the populace and not to accept, but you introduce it.
  266. 20:52But the purpose of your introduction is not to get a consensus around that radical position
  267. 20:58initially.
  268. 21:00You introduce the radical notion as a thesis.
  269. 21:05While you are introducing the thesis.
  270. 21:08You have a corollary component.
  271. 21:14Some may say an opponent.
  272. 21:17You heard the term controlled opposition?
  273. 21:19When you are a Hegelian, when you introduce your radical thesis, you are working in tandem
  274. 21:25with the antithesis advocates.
  275. 21:34The Hegelian introduces the thesis.
  276. 21:38The corollary opposition, the controlled opposition offers an antithesis, which is usually the
  277. 21:44opposite of the thesis, then to add into this conversation the allensky-like term of the
  278. 21:51community organizer, the community organizer is the one who introduces the radical thesis
  279. 21:55to stir up discontent around it, then you stir up the antithesis groups to oppose and you
  280. 22:03always present the issue in binary terms.
  281. 22:06There's no gradation, there's no reasonable alternatives, you simply have thesis antithesis
  282. 22:13And then the organizer comes in with the synthesis.
  283. 22:17Caw, come on, let's be reasonable.
  284. 22:19Let's compromise.
  285. 22:20Let's compromise, which is why you have a society that's the only thing,
  286. 22:25I won't say the only thing, but one of the, the, the highest values in our society
  287. 22:28today is what compromise?
  288. 22:32But for the Hegelian, the very moment that you have an arrival at synthesis or
  289. 22:37the, the Bill Clinton, the George W. Bush, the Tony Blair third way, the very
  290. 22:41The moment you have the third way, you introduce a new radical thesis that pushes the dialogue
  291. 22:49even further.
  292. 22:51You've heard the term over 10 window.
  293. 22:53As soon as you get the thesis that synthesis accepted, you introduce a new thesis.
  294. 22:58Then you have another round of thesis and synthesis synthesis.
  295. 23:04Another round, new thesis, which is why in our conversation you've experienced the continued
  296. 23:09leftward drift of both the Democrat party and the Republican party. How many times have
  297. 23:14you heard people say, man, John F. Kennedy can never be elected as a Democrat today. How
  298. 23:18many times have you heard that? How many times have you heard this say, well, Republicans are
  299. 23:21just taking up the most recent position vacated by the Democrats because we are living in the
  300. 23:26Hegelian dialectical process, living in it. And while this is happening, just to summarize
  301. 23:36and this is a very crude summary, no doubt, and a simplified summary.
  302. 23:44But the underpinning from a socialist Marxist communist worldview is atheism.
  303. 23:53The theological underpinning is humanism.
  304. 23:57Man is God.
  305. 23:59So we'll do to use biblical language, whatever's right in our own eyes.
  306. 24:04So it is to rightly describe the Marxist objective.
  307. 24:08It is an effort to establish a godless society
  308. 24:12where man determines virtue.
  309. 24:16Now what is happening in our country right now?
  310. 24:17There is a major push, a major push
  311. 24:22to redefine conservatism in America without God.
  312. 24:30You see?
  313. 24:31You see?
  314. 24:32So what does that end up becoming?
  315. 24:33You end up with two sides of the same coin.
  316. 24:36Now I am not one of these people will say,
  317. 24:38there's not any difference between Democrats or brothers.
  318. 24:39There's lots of differences, no doubt.
  319. 24:41But think about what is happening on our very watch as we're existing.
  320. 24:46You have two sides, both pushing for an establishment of a society based on their vision of virtue
  321. 24:53with a godless definition of it.
  322. 24:58That the fecklessness of the Republican Party is now giving away to MAGA,
  323. 25:02but I simply ask you, what is the guiding principle of it?
  324. 25:08What by and large passes for conservatism today is nothing more than a reactionary response
  325. 25:14to whatever it is the regressives are doing.
  326. 25:18Think about it.
  327. 25:21But what is the guiding principle?
  328. 25:22To be honest, to be fair, if you would be honest and fair, President Trump doesn't have
  329. 25:28a core conviction or ideology.
  330. 25:32In some ways, you can see how there is benefit in being flexible and negotiating.
  331. 25:36But the truth is, what is the core conviction or ideology?
  332. 25:41And I can even hear it now.
  333. 25:42Why do you have to be ideological?
  334. 25:44I'm not saying you have to be ideological, but there is something called truth.
  335. 25:48This is what I'm getting toward.
  336. 25:50There is something, say it better.
  337. 25:55Truth is real, guys.
  338. 25:57Truth is real.
  339. 25:59Zealous reactionary is not synonymous with visionary.
  340. 26:09You've heard me say we talk about the constructive of family.
  341. 26:12There can be no submission of a wife to her husband.
  342. 26:14If the husband has no vision, has no mission,
  343. 26:17submission requires a mission.
  344. 26:20We have lots of people that are in families
  345. 26:25and trying to lead families,
  346. 26:26but they don't even have a vision for what their lives are
  347. 26:28want to be, what their lives are to be,
  348. 26:30what their family should be.
  349. 26:31What is the vision you have for your family?
  350. 26:34Do you have one?
  351. 26:36For most people, if we're honest,
  352. 26:37most people's experiences are we just kind of drift along
  353. 26:40and kind of figure it out along the way.
  354. 26:44But there's not clarity and vision often,
  355. 26:49but should there be?
  356. 26:50Yes, there should be.
  357. 26:54Efforts to employ reactionary political engagement
  358. 26:59engagement without any mooring in truth will ultimately spiral badly ultimately
  359. 27:07ultimately right now I'll say it very simply I strongly believe because of the
  360. 27:17chasm the void left by the church in our society a a a mega ideology has
  361. 27:23just has come to fill the void and why because some of it is because we've
  362. 27:30You've been pushed and pushed and pushed with the Hegelian thesis.
  363. 27:35You pushed us with the deconstruction of the family.
  364. 27:37You pushed us with homosexuality.
  365. 27:39You pushed us with same-sex marriage.
  366. 27:40You pushed us with abortion.
  367. 27:42But then you start saying, but yeah, two-year-olds can tell you if they're boys or girls.
  368. 27:46And we're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute.
  369. 27:50Wait a minute.
  370. 27:52Wait, think about it.
  371. 27:53The one of the most profound ads from the 2024 presidential election was Kamala Harris'
  372. 27:59for they them.
  373. 28:00She should never be president of the remixes for they them.
  374. 28:02Donald Trump is for us.
  375. 28:06Why did that resonate so?
  376. 28:08Because we know we're coming out of the air where you want to tell me Will Thomas who's
  377. 28:12on the pin swimming team for three years was ranked number six hundred fifty second or
  378. 28:17whatever he was two hundred fifty third and then he makes a decision or you know what?
  379. 28:20I'm a girl and now I'm dominating and we supposed to act like yeah this is right.
  380. 28:25We know that's wrong at a core level.
  381. 28:29And how many people are willing to say why it's wrong?
  382. 28:33Not as many.
  383. 28:35Not as many.
  384. 28:37The popular understanding of conservatism has eroded to mere reactionary disposition.
  385. 28:43If you hear the term conservatism, you should ask conserving what?
  386. 28:46What are we conserving?
  387. 28:48Do we know?
  388. 28:50Should there be conserving anything?
  389. 28:53What is the overarching vision?
  390. 28:58The same thing, the reactionary thing, even in media, you know?
  391. 29:03These are the stories to talk about.
  392. 29:04Who determines which stories are the stories to talk about?
  393. 29:07Why don't we have more stories about good Americans that have weapons that are using their weapons
  394. 29:13responsibly to save people?
  395. 29:18We don't hear that very often at all.
  396. 29:21It actually happens way more than what people talk about these so-called gun violence incidents,
  397. 29:27which is so absurd to say gun violence.
  398. 29:30You have automobile crashes.
  399. 29:31Nobody says we have car violence.
  400. 29:35Nobody says that.
  401. 29:38We say we have a problem with intoxicated drivers.
  402. 29:41We have a problem with people driving badly.
  403. 29:43We don't say that there's car violence because there's an agenda.
  404. 29:48And so we even have this binary reactionary terms,
  405. 29:51a disposition in terms of what we discuss and how things are discussed.
  406. 29:56I'll give you an example of what I'm talking about.
  407. 30:00Right now there's lots of conversation about the, you know,
  408. 30:02Sydney, sweet, sweetie American Eagle ad, you know,
  409. 30:04and this people, they're like, hey, why haven't you talked about it?
  410. 30:07I'll tell you plainly, because I don't want to talk about it in terms of the way
  411. 30:09that the world is talking about it popularly.
  412. 30:12The world wants you to say, ooh, Sydney, sweetie, add good.
  413. 30:15I got a big problem with the Sydney Sweeney ad.
  414. 30:22But it's not because anything anybody else is talking about.
  415. 30:25Missed me with all that talking about her reference and skin color, all that kind of stuff.
  416. 30:29You know what I have a problem?
  417. 30:30Because America is addicted to pornography.
  418. 30:33That's why I have a problem with.
  419. 30:35And this is nothing more than another iteration of frankly, soft pornography.
  420. 30:41And there are lots of so-called, I won't even say so-called, lots of people who would identify themselves as conservative.
  421. 30:49conservative that completely missed the fact that they're trying to really do a sex sales thing in a particular way that
  422. 31:01appeals to particular demographics. But the issue that I have is that the scripture compels me to put no unholy thing before my eyes.
  423. 31:11And what we have is a normalization of the objectification of the female body,
  424. 31:17a normalization of lust so much so to where it almost doesn't even register.
  425. 31:22We don't care if it's all porn long as it's soft porn and red, white and blue.
  426. 31:29Remember the whole deal we had not too long ago?
  427. 31:31Conservative women with pinup calendars?
  428. 31:33Remember that?
  429. 31:35What I'm saying guys, I'm just using that as an example.
  430. 31:38I say, what is our governing dynamic?
  431. 31:42What are we aspiring toward?
  432. 31:44What is our positive vision for ourselves, our positive vision for our families, our positive
  433. 31:51vision for our churches, and our positive vision for our nation?
  434. 31:54What are we aspiring to war?
  435. 31:56For too many, the aspiration is nothing more than let's own the lives.
  436. 32:02I want to drink some liberal tears.
  437. 32:04That's only going to get you so far.
  438. 32:08What are we aspiring to as a nation?
  439. 32:11What is good?
  440. 32:13What is beautiful?
  441. 32:15What is true that we're aspiring for?
  442. 32:17What are we seeking to accomplish?
  443. 32:20For too many, it's nothing more than being the opposite of whatever them Democrats say.
  444. 32:26But whatever them Republicans say, guys, that's not going to be that's not a
  445. 32:32sustaining virtue, which is why to come full circle to the point I mean in the
  446. 32:36first segment, at least I've tried to make this is why the church, the living God,
  447. 32:40must stand up to no longer be a sleeping tiger and simply being tossed to and
  448. 32:50fro by whatever political, wind and waves that are rivaling in society.
  449. 32:56Hello, my name is Andy Miller and I'm the president of Wesley Biblical Seminary based

  453. 33:17We do that also through bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
  454. 33:20We'd love for you to learn more about Wesley Biblical Seminary at WBS.edu where we're developing
  455. 33:26trusted leaders for faithful churches.
  456. 33:30Fostering and adoption is not a band-aid for infertility.
  457. 33:35Like it is a calling and God can change the desire of your heart
  458. 33:40and make that so rewarding.
  459. 33:42It's the most beautiful, self-listing, it's pure religion,
  460. 33:45but it's not a fix to desire biological child.
  461. 33:49God has to deal with that in your heart separately.

  465. 34:01Growing in your love of God, this is David Wheaton,
  466. 34:04host of the Christian worldview.
  467. 34:07Loving God means to think and do what pleases and glorifies Him.
  468. 34:11Jesus said that loving God is the great and foremost
  469. 34:15commandment.
  470. 34:17The problem is your unredeemed flesh is constantly
  471. 34:19telling you to love yourself, not God.
  472. 34:22The world wants you to love the things and pleasures
  473. 34:25of the world, not God.
  474. 34:27Love for God must be cultivated through drawing near to Him
  475. 34:31in His word, in prayer, with other believers
  476. 34:34in the local church.
  477. 34:36For when the believer grows in love of God,
  478. 34:38he will enthusiastically want to worship and obey Him
  479. 34:42no matter what.
  480. 34:44Here are most recent programs on growing in your love of God
  481. 34:47at thechristianworldview.org,
  482. 34:49and then tune in this weekend for another topic
  483. 34:51that will sharpen your worldview.
  484. 34:53listen to the Christian worldview with David Wheaton Saturday mornings at 8
  485. 34:57Central on American family radio.
  486. 35:04The Hamilton Quarter podcast and one-minute commentaries are available at
  487. 35:09eFR.net back to the Hamilton Quarter on American family radio.
  488. 35:15Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton the third is my name.
  489. 35:18What I'm saying very simply guys is we cannot perpetually be
  490. 35:22described solely by what we're against.
  491. 35:28But here's the rub,
  492. 35:29but we have to wait to see what they say
  493. 35:31so that we can know what we're against next.
  494. 35:37How absurd is that?
  495. 35:39We need to wait to see what they're gonna say
  496. 35:43to see what we're against.
  497. 35:44Guys, that's absurd.
  498. 35:49What is the positive vision that we have?
  499. 35:52It is a reason guys where the last greatest hope
  500. 35:56of the Earth, the United States of America,
  501. 35:58beacons set on the hill, it follows from a worldview that begins our declaration as to
  502. 36:05why we must be a sovereign nation separated from King George of England that we hold these
  503. 36:11truths be self-evident.
  504. 36:15The man is endowed by the Creator.
  505. 36:18There's a positive affirmative vision.
  506. 36:23What are we ascribing toward?
  507. 36:25What are we endeavoring to build?
  508. 36:27What type of society do we want?
  509. 36:32The reason, no, I won't say V reason, but regressive use these ridiculous tactics like
  510. 36:39the Hegelian dialectical process and they come up with different names for dialectical
  511. 36:43ism and third-wayism and all of these things, because they're trying to run game on you because
  512. 36:49they're trying to move in the same direction.
  513. 36:52Always in the same direction.
  514. 36:54Let's move in a certain way.
  515. 36:56Right now you're my opposition, but in the future you will be a Republican who supports
  516. 37:00same-sex marriage, for example.
  517. 37:06How many times have you been told, wow, now, now, let's not bring the Bible into this.
  518. 37:09Why?
  519. 37:11Who are you to tell me that I need to be my Bible on the side to engage you in discourse?
  520. 37:16But how often have professing Christians done so?
  521. 37:21Oh yeah, you know I don't want to compel someone to believe what I believe.
  522. 37:24You're not trying to persuade someone to embrace Christ by force, but you don't have to apologize
  523. 37:32that the word of Christ is truth.
  524. 37:34You don't have to try to apologize for the fact, well you know what?
  525. 37:40If you're going to have a sustained society, we need husbands and wives to make babies.
  526. 37:45I don't need to apologize for that.
  527. 37:46Well, well, where did it come from?
  528. 37:48It comes first from God's Word.
  529. 37:51And unsurprisingly, the sciences that we have supports,
  530. 37:54what God's Word has already told us.
  531. 37:56I'm not gonna apologize for that.
  532. 38:01And then I'll add this into the conversation.
  533. 38:04The truth has benefited even for those
  534. 38:06who don't believe the truth.
  535. 38:10Whether you agree with it or not,
  536. 38:11that a husband and a wife raising their children together
  537. 38:13in the same home is the best thing for a child,
  538. 38:16regardless if you believe it or not.
  539. 38:18It's true.
  540. 38:20So I'm not gonna apologize because that's true.
  541. 38:22Now you need to be more responsive
  542. 38:24to the multicultural effort to recognize
  543. 38:27that they're all types of families.
  544. 38:28No, no, I don't need to do that.
  545. 38:30What I will do is recognize that they're sin
  546. 38:33and that they're fallen men and fallen men intend
  547. 38:36and attempt to try to make adjustments
  548. 38:39and nip and tuck and accommodate their sin and rebellion,
  549. 38:42but that doesn't change the truth.
  550. 38:45That doesn't change the truth.
  551. 38:49That's why I said you're entitled to your delusions,
  552. 38:51but you cannot compel me to live by them.
  553. 38:54Guys, there's a simple notion in order to maintain
  554. 38:57this experiment and self-governance,
  555. 38:59we have to have individuals who are self-governed.
  556. 39:03Let's add something else to the conversation.
  557. 39:05Self-governance is not an endamically natural phenomenon.
  558. 39:09Guess what?
  559. 39:10Self-governance, also known as self-control,
  560. 39:12is a fruit of the spirit.
  561. 39:20The Spirit of God produces self-controlled men.
  562. 39:23This is why brothers and sisters,
  563. 39:25George Washington said religion and morality
  564. 39:27are indispensable support our government.
  565. 39:33And you simply can be, you can say very simply,
  566. 39:36I'm not trying to compel you to convert to Christ following,
  567. 39:39but I will not deny the truth of what Jesus Christ teaches.
  568. 39:43Guys, it ain't rocket surgery.
  569. 39:44There's a reason they ain't never been
  570. 39:46in the history of the world, an atheist hospital.
  571. 39:50You know why?
  572. 39:51Because compassion for suffering people comes from people
  573. 39:54who have love for the Lord.
  574. 39:56Because it's the Lord who told us that the first commandment
  575. 39:58is to love him with all that we are.
  576. 40:00And the second is like it.
  577. 40:02Love your neighbor as yourself.
  578. 40:04Why is it that it's always the Christians
  579. 40:05opening up orphanages and opening up hospitals
  580. 40:08and feeding the homeless and clothing the homeless?
  581. 40:11But our abe, religion has done all kinds of things.
  582. 40:14I don't care what you say, religion hadn't done more
  583. 40:16than the atheist 20th century,
  584. 40:18which stalling and Hitler and Paul Pot and Mao say tongue.
  585. 40:23Miss me with all of that.
  586. 40:24And here's another thing.
  587. 40:25The people who in the name of religion did this carnage,
  588. 40:27they were violating Jesus' teachings.
  589. 40:29They were not obeying him.
  590. 40:33So miss me with all of that.
  591. 40:36And we have to stop being a man be-pamby church,
  592. 40:39that we're gonna genuflect and apologize
  593. 40:41because we know the truth.
  594. 40:42I'm not sorry that I know the truth.
  595. 40:43I'm grateful and I'm thankful and I love my neighbor enough
  596. 40:47that I'll tell them that.
  597. 40:51But what's happened guys,
  598. 40:52we've allowed ourselves to be dumbed down,
  599. 40:55but we won't talk about Christian
  600. 40:56and what was it, Western civilization.
  601. 40:58What's the folk room of Western civilization?
  602. 41:01Are we gonna talk about Augustine in the city of God
  603. 41:03and how his writings as a Christ follower
  604. 41:05shaped the entire scope of Western philosophical
  605. 41:08and political thought?
  606. 41:09Are we gonna talk about that or not?
  607. 41:11Nah, nah, we ain't gonna talk about it.
  608. 41:13Why? Cause we're embarrassed of Christ.
  609. 41:16Why?
  610. 41:17Why?
  611. 41:19Who has been which does?
  612. 41:20Guys, we have been siren-songed
  613. 41:23and we have been seduced
  614. 41:24and we have been, you know, professionalized
  615. 41:27and we've been de-greed up in all of these things,
  616. 41:30all to get us to the place to become functionally comfortable
  617. 41:33with denying the truth and its application.
  618. 41:39We don't need to apologize that the positive vision
  619. 41:42for our nation is stems from clarity from God's word.
  620. 41:47We're not trying to have theocratic rule compelling people
  621. 41:49to convert to Christ following,
  622. 41:52but I'm not gonna say, I'm not gonna apologize to you
  623. 41:55and lie to you about the fact that I don't care
  624. 41:57how great your life may be here.
  625. 41:59If you die without Christ Jesus as your savior,
  626. 42:01you will suffer eternally.
  627. 42:05And in addition to that,
  628. 42:07the teachings of Christ have great efficacy
  629. 42:09in its application for establishing society
  630. 42:12that's best for maximizing human flourishing.
  631. 42:15That's why you have some of the, you know,
  632. 42:17the atheist, what's old boy named from England?
  633. 42:19I forgot so far.
  634. 42:20He doesn't like Christianity,
  635. 42:22but he likes to coach it, produces.
  636. 42:24What's his name?
  637. 42:26Well, no, it wasn't him, it was the other one.
  638. 42:29The name will come up,
  639. 42:30but y'all know what I'm talking about.
  640. 42:32I don't quite like Christianity.
  641. 42:33No, I don't believe it's absurd to believe in man,
  642. 42:36right?
  643. 42:36It's absurd, but I do rather do prefer the culture
  644. 42:40that Christians create.
  645. 42:43Why, bro?
  646. 42:44Why do you prefer the culture that Christians create?
  647. 42:46Why?
  648. 42:46I kind of like man is exceedingly wicked.
  649. 42:50Kind of like if you reject the culture that Christians create,
  650. 42:54you return to the doldrums.
  651. 42:58That's right.
  652. 42:59And somebody put it in the chat, Dawkins, Richard Dawkins.
  653. 43:03Guys, what we've enjoyed in what the,
  654. 43:05when Western civilization has been an aberration in world history.
  655. 43:10Yeah, that's what he said, cultural Christian.
  656. 43:12What we've enjoyed in Western civilization as a whole
  657. 43:15is an aberration from human history.
  658. 43:19Then you get more specific, what we've had in America,
  659. 43:24there've been generations of human beings
  660. 43:26that could not fathom what we've enjoyed here.
  661. 43:32And with all of our mistakes,
  662. 43:34there's never been a perfect society.
  663. 43:36I say it with my whole chest without successful contradiction
  664. 43:39that the United States of America's the greatest nation
  665. 43:41of the world. Why is it that? Why is it that? We used to understand as the
  666. 43:50Tocqueville told us in contrast in the French Revolution, the bloody French
  667. 43:54Revolution that the symbol of the French Revolution was the bloody guillotine.
  668. 43:59The Tocqueville's question was why did the American Revolution result in their
  669. 44:04society versus what we had in France? And he told us and he told us in his
  670. 44:11twain volume on Democracy in America, he sought for the source of America's
  671. 44:14greatness in his banking systems. He saw it for America's greatness and it's also
  672. 44:17government and it was not until he entered her churches with pulpits, a
  673. 44:21flamed and righteousness. This is his word, not mine. A flamed and righteousness that he
  674. 44:26recognized the source of America's greatness. He said America is great because
  675. 44:30she is good but then he added a warning but the moment she sees this to be good
  676. 44:37she will cease to be great. When Tim Taub was on the show he sat in his chair
  677. 44:44and return to the statistics that when America
  678. 44:48could get pared out of our public schools,
  679. 44:50how do all of the metrics, violence, sexuality, murder,
  680. 44:56they all plummeted.
  681. 44:57You think that's a coincidence?
  682. 44:59Guys, we've got to wake up.
  683. 45:05You've got to wake up.
  684. 45:09Enduring virtue from the word of God, from Jesus directly,
  685. 45:15what is the greatest commandment to love the Lord
  686. 45:17with all that you are?
  687. 45:18Guys, when you love God with all that you are,
  688. 45:20The most immediate evidence of that love is the way you treat your neighbor.
  689. 45:25Love God with all you as you are and love your neighbor as yourself on these hang
  690. 45:31the entirety of the law and the prophets.
  691. 45:35We have got to get to the place where we don't apologize for that and that we're
  692. 45:39willing to live out loud in that fashion.
  693. 45:42What is your vision for yourselves, for your life?
  694. 45:46What is your vision for your family?
  695. 45:49What is your vision for your church?
  696. 45:50What is your vision for our nation?
  697. 45:53The next level of analysis and what are you doing to bring that into fruition?
  698. 45:58Guys, the world is going to world.
  699. 46:04We cannot expect this to come from the world.
  700. 46:07But the thing that I'm greatly concerned about is that among the ranks of the regressive and
  701. 46:11among the ranks of the self-described conservatives, we are both pining for an establishment of
  702. 46:18a society in a godless direction, looking for a godless way to do life and to do governance.
  703. 46:26And I'm telling you, I'm telling you is going to end in the same direction.
  704. 46:33The only way we can get off this hamster wheel of the Hegelian dialectical process to where
  705. 46:37we're simply waiting to see what the other side says so that we can react to it and be
  706. 46:41opposite opposite them.
  707. 46:42And to see what is it that you're striving for?
  708. 46:47What is it that you're aspiring to be?
  709. 46:54As a father, man, I have a desire and a vision for my family.
  710. 46:57I have a desire and a vision for my children.
  711. 47:01But it's my example, aiding that vision coming into reality
  712. 47:05as it's working against it.
  713. 47:09So many instances we're able to identify and criticize
  714. 47:12what's wrong with everybody else,
  715. 47:13but we're not introspective about our own examples.
  716. 47:18A lack of clarity as to the positive vision for ourselves
  717. 47:21as a church, for example, is what led to many places
  718. 47:26being bullied by government to shut down.
  719. 47:30The strip clubs and the liquor stores
  720. 47:32and the Walmart can be open,
  721. 47:33But you better not open your mouth to say Jesus is Lord.
  722. 47:37And if you dare come together to say Jesus Lord,
  723. 47:39you better not sing.
  724. 47:48Guys, we need to wake up, is what I'm saying.
  725. 47:53We cannot simply be reactionary.
  726. 47:55Reactionary is not synonymous with the envisionary.
  727. 47:59These stories that are percolating,
  728. 48:00sometimes I wanna talk about this stuff that's popular,
  729. 48:02sometimes I don't.
  730. 48:03You know why?
  731. 48:04Because what's popular doesn't dictate what's important.
  732. 48:09Sometimes they make stories that are popular
  733. 48:10and the important things go completely ignored.
  734. 48:21Many of us have heard the attitude.
  735. 48:22In our time right now, we're no longer having discourse and disagreements between, you know,
  736. 48:27red and blue.
  737. 48:28We have a conversation about right versus wrong, good versus evil.
  738. 48:32And I agree with that wholeheartedly.
  739. 48:34But this is the thing that people don't say.
  740. 48:36Both sides of the dialogue believe that they're on the side of good and the other side is evil.
  741. 48:42Why?
  742. 48:43Because with the Lord prophesied, it's coming to fruition.
  743. 48:46Good is being called evil and evil is being called good.
  744. 48:54So if you're having disagreements with good versus evil, but both sides of the discourse
  745. 49:00believe they're good and the other side is evil, we'll write back to square one.
  746. 49:05Because instead of merely discussing good versus evil, there needs to be a conversation about
  747. 49:08about what is true, what is true.
  748. 49:18And if we're merely reactionary, we become nothing other than controlled opposition in the
  749. 49:23Hegelian dialectical process.
  750. 49:27The floor for the negotiation, if you will, is always set by the hegalian with the thesis
  751. 49:33The thesis love who you want to love and titthesis. No, that's wrong
  752. 49:46Okay, okay, okay civil union civil unions as soon as people say okay the civil unions was a nice thing. No, no, no
  753. 49:52We want marriage
  754. 49:55There's this wrong
  755. 49:57Okay, okay, I licensed for gay marriage as soon as not even before the dust consider on that little boys are not always boys
  756. 50:04It's just a more recent example of the exact same phenomenon.
  757. 50:11But the people of God must simultaneously be people of truth.
  758. 50:18And the beauty of this is that we don't have to try to develop our own unilateral vision.
  759. 50:25God has always showed us the way in which we are to walk.
  760. 50:31God is good, not because I'm saying so.
  761. 50:33It's because it is truth.
