  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good, even everybody.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  13. 0:36My name is Abraham Hamilton III.
  14. 0:38Fresh from the great state of Michigan.
  15. 0:42Glad to be back at home with you.
  16. 0:46I'm joined in studio by my man, 100 grand.
  17. 0:49Mr. Bobby, Rosa.
  18. 0:52We're talking about some of the basics of the faith that have.
  19. 0:57Unfortunately, in our day and age seem to have become not so foundational, unfortunately.
  20. 1:06But in the screening room we joined as well by produce extraordinaire, often imitated, never
  21. 1:11duplicated the real J. Mac. Ladies and gentlemen, we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition
  22. 1:16of the program. At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you, are making the transition
  23. 1:22from your part-time jobs where you generate an income to your full-time jobs, where you cultivate
  24. 1:28an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding
  25. 1:33the primacy that God places on family in welcoming God's view to govern, guard and to guide your
  26. 1:42view and you engage from the position of strength because you are anchored in the truth of God's
  27. 1:50holy word. This is the most foundational and fundamental necessity in our society. As you're
  28. 2:02making your transition, I say this daily because it is so necessary to do so. I want to remind
  29. 2:08you that what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White
  30. 2:13House. Not because the things in the White House are unimportant, but you and I are directly
  31. 2:18accountable and responsible for exercising obedience to the king of glory in the places
  32. 2:24where he's given us direct impact.
  33. 2:28This shouldn't nullify our willingness to obey the scriptural command to pray for our
  34. 2:33leaders and things of that nature.
  35. 2:35But we have an obligation to be obedient to the Lord and the command to make disciples.
  36. 2:41God has given to his followers, starts first and foremost in our families.
  37. 2:47Much of what has transpired in our nation is really the byproduct of what has not transpired
  38. 2:55in our homes.
  39. 2:56If you look at the areas where the Leviathan state that is government having, it has encroached,
  40. 3:03what you see is that it corresponds with a contraction in the family.
  41. 3:09of the fervent iterations of second-way feminism.
  42. 3:13You know, I've explained the whole push, I don't need a man, oh, I can be a man, kind
  43. 3:20of phenomenon.
  44. 3:21Well, oftentimes what has happened, they've just exchanged a real man for the government
  45. 3:26to serve in the role that a man should be functioning with them, in many instances, in
  46. 3:30some instances, generally speaking, in places where the family should be involved.
  47. 3:35You know, one of the major reasons why we have these outsized, massive entitlements
  48. 3:40governmentally is because we haven't taken to heart the biblical admonition of a man
  49. 3:45doesn't care for his own household.
  50. 3:47He's worse than an infidel.
  51. 3:49You know, when the scripture gives instruction for how to deal with, you know, as the Apostle
  52. 3:52James said, pure religion and undefiled is to care for widows and orphans.
  53. 3:57People will often forget that the Apostle Paul inspired by the Spirit of God gave us some
  54. 4:01additional guidelines as to how widows who are widows indeed should be cared for.
  55. 4:06The scripture admonition is that widows who are not widows indeed are not the responsibility
  56. 4:10of the church.
  57. 4:12I don't know if people don't want to talk about that.
  58. 4:14In the Lord through the Apostle Paul said the first line of provision should come from the
  59. 4:18widows immediate family members.
  60. 4:20That's what the scripture says.
  61. 4:22That's what the scripture says.
  62. 4:23So I'm just explaining that.
  63. 4:25Now we have digressed to the place.
  64. 4:28We have regressed to the place to where now it's more normalized for people to demand their
  65. 4:37neighbor to care for, for example, their aging parents.
  66. 4:41Whereas we should be the ones who look for our, look out for our parents and provide for
  67. 4:49them on a foundation or an initial level.
  68. 4:52And this is not merely my opinion, this is Bible, this is Bible.
  69. 4:58But isn't it interesting how our society has become so normalized in things that run contrary
  70. 5:05to what the scripture teaches.
  71. 5:07And the scripture admonitions have now become estranged, become the exception that become foreign.
  72. 5:14We talked a couple of weeks ago about the formation of marriages in our country and how so much
  73. 5:20such a change in such a short amount of time from 1972 till today to where the scriptural
  74. 5:27norm is no longer the practical norm in our society, but it's actually the exception.
  75. 5:34This is why I say consistently that our greatest emotion during need is repentance.
  76. 5:41It is repentance.
  77. 5:42To the word of God we go.
  78. 5:43Isaiah chapter 39 is what we're going to go today.
  79. 5:45Isaiah chapter 39, it's only eight verses in the chapter on Isaiah 39.
  80. 5:53And this chapter is what immediately follows when King Hezekiah, the king of Judah, he's
  81. 6:04granted an extension of life by the Lord.
  82. 6:09It follows from Isaiah's recording in chapter 38 when this portion of scripture begins with
  83. 6:15the Lord sending Isaiah to Hezekiah to tell him, Hey, yo, get your house in order, chief,
  84. 6:20because your time is up, my boy.
  85. 6:22Some people don't realize is that that follows the Lord's identification of pride being one
  86. 6:29of the major problems in Hezekiah's life.
  87. 6:32This instant transpires very early in Hezekiah's reign.
  88. 6:35And the reason why I know that, he reigned in June of 697 to about 715 BC.
  89. 6:41When the scripture says he was granted an additional 15 years of life, it shows that this instant
  90. 6:50transpires in about the third year of Hezekiah's reign. And the scripture bears that out. Well,
  91. 6:55a couple chapters I wanted to give you as cross references to Isaiah chapter 39, and they would be
  92. 6:59second kings, chapter 18, verses 7 through 37. They would also include second kings, chapter 20,
  93. 7:07and second chronicles, chapter 32, verses 34 through 41, for additional context for what we discuss
  94. 7:14here, but not as they had 39, what you have is what happens after Hezekiah
  95. 7:20recovers. There's a dispatch at this time that comes from Babylon. This is 50
  96. 7:25years before Nebuchadnezzar is on the throne in Babylon, and this is what the
  97. 7:29Word of God says. Isaiah 39 verse 1, at that time, Maradoc Baladon, son of
  98. 7:35Baladon, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard
  99. 7:40that he had been sick and had recovered.
  100. 7:42Hezekiah was pleased and showed them all his treasure house, the silver and the gold and
  101. 7:50the spices and the precious oil and his whole armory and all that was found in his treasure.
  102. 7:58There was nothing in his house nor in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.
  103. 8:03Then Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah and said to him, what did these men say?
  104. 8:08from where have they come to you?"
  105. 8:12And as Akiah said, they have come to me
  106. 8:14from a far country from Babylon.
  107. 8:19He said, what have they seen in your house?
  108. 8:22So as Akiah answered,
  109. 8:23they have seen all that is in my house.
  110. 8:25There's nothing among my treasures
  111. 8:27that I have not shown them.
  112. 8:29Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah,
  113. 8:31"'Here the word of the Lord of hosts,
  114. 8:33"'Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house
  115. 8:35"'and all that your fathers have laid up in store
  116. 8:37"'to this day will be carried
  117. 8:40married to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord. And some of your own sons who
  118. 8:48will issue from you, whom you will be get, will be taken away from you. And they will become
  119. 8:53officials in the palace of the King of Babylon. Then as the Kiah said, to Isaiah, the word
  120. 8:59of the Lord which you have spoken is good, for he thought for there will be peace and
  121. 9:04truth in my days. Man, this is one of the most egregious demonstrations of a lack of discernment,
  122. 9:18a self-centeredness, and I would say fatherly forfeiture and it's noted in scripture. A lot,
  123. 9:30some of the things, and this is where some people get in trouble, sometimes people conflate things
  124. 9:36in scripture that the Lord includes merely to illustrate what has transpired, to describe events
  125. 9:42that have transpired versus what God prescribes for us, meaning things that God dictates to
  126. 9:52us. It's a matter of command. Here is an illustration. No one should take from this.
  127. 9:58Oh, well, it's certainly fine for you to have a disposition to say, well, it's good.
  128. 10:01And at least it'd be peace and truth in my day. Oh, man, Jesus told us, great as love
  129. 10:07has no man in this that he leaned down his life for his friends. But what's happening here?
  130. 10:17Here Hezekiah is lost in the sauce of him having this extension of life.
  131. 10:23In the very thing that was problematic to him before Isaiah initially confronted him, reared
  132. 10:28its ugly head again.
  133. 10:31Hezekiah entertained a dispatch from Babylon.
  134. 10:38At this time, Babylon didn't pose any threat to Judah.
  135. 10:42So that Hezekiah's spidey senses, so to speak, were not pricked.
  136. 10:47And they came with, as the scripture said,
  137. 10:51Maradak Baladon sent letters and a present Hezekiah.
  138. 10:56Now you got a person who's already got a pride
  139. 10:59for disposition and now he's being acknowledged
  140. 11:04by a foreign country.
  141. 11:05Ooh, they know me all over there.
  142. 11:08They heard about your boy all the way over there
  143. 11:10in Babylon from that far country.
  144. 11:14So then what happens next?
  145. 11:15Well, let me show y'all a right to come and write letters
  146. 11:18to me and bring a present to me
  147. 11:19and honor me because I've had my health restored.
  148. 11:21Let me show you why that's right for you to do.
  149. 11:23Come and check out all my treasuries.
  150. 11:25Ooh, y'all see how I'm stacked up, I'm goin' up.
  151. 11:28Look at my gold, my silver, my spices.
  152. 11:30Look at my oil.
  153. 11:33Well, if you like my grandmother, she said, my Earl.
  154. 11:36Look at my Earl.
  155. 11:38And then he doesn't stop there.
  156. 11:39He just said, oh, and by the way,
  157. 11:40let me show y'all a right to wanna come and honor me.
  158. 11:42Look at my weapon, look at my armory.
  159. 11:45I know y'all and got the things like this in the Babylon,
  160. 11:47but this is how we rollin' over here in Judah.
  161. 11:51And as this is all happening, Isaiah goes back to him and say,
  162. 11:56man, what are you doing?
  163. 11:57What are these people?
  164. 11:58Where have they come from?
  165. 11:59What have you shown them?
  166. 12:00As a guy goes ahead, they've come all over there in Babylon.
  167. 12:03And I've shown them everything.
  168. 12:05There's nothing in my house that I haven't shown them.
  169. 12:07I've shown them everything.
  170. 12:10And Isaiah has to tell him, as a Lord, moves in the same man,
  171. 12:14you are tripping these same people, the same people group.
  172. 12:19They're going to come back here.
  173. 12:21and they're gonna way lay everything in Judah.
  174. 12:26And if that's not enough for you,
  175. 12:28even your own descendants will be enslaved by these people.
  176. 12:33And the Lord gives us a glimpse of Hezekiah's
  177. 12:36outside external appearance of piety, I'm sorry.
  178. 12:40The word of the Lord is good, that ye old prophet Isaiah.
  179. 12:43But internally, internally, his disposition is,
  180. 12:48well, at least he'll be cool
  181. 12:49while I was long as I'm alive.
  182. 12:52Guys, that is so egregiously sad.
  183. 12:55And I'm presenting this to you because we are in a stage where people are clamoring for, you
  184. 13:02know, leadership, and I've said before, regardless, regressiveism and godless so-called conservatism
  185. 13:09will lead us in the exact same position.
  186. 13:12That we have to get out of the mindset to where all we want is somebody who has our favorite
  187. 13:19policies because there is a necessity to have the type of discernment that will enable us
  188. 13:28to function in such a way, to where our service, and I'm talking about everything in our homes
  189. 13:34and our families all the way through to the White House, to where we operate with the type of discernment
  190. 13:39where the Psalm 78 phenomenon becomes real for us, to our children and our children's children and
  191. 13:45our children's children's children and the generation not yet to be that have not yet been born that they
  192. 13:51will know that a war horse is a false hope for salvation. Blessed is the man whose God is the Lord.
  193. 14:01And what I'm concerned about is that what we're reeling in right now and I think China is one
  194. 14:06great example of that is a lack of discernment in our leadership has led us to open the doors
  195. 14:14to people who mean us ill, which is why examples like Bill Clinton, and I guess he was otherwise
  196. 14:20distracted, establishing permanent normal relations with China, has opened the door to where the truth
  197. 14:26is, the US dollar is what has created a Chinese power. Because prior to permanent normal relations
  198. 14:34with the United States of America, China was not what it has become. And Xi Jinping's, we're going
  199. 14:41We're going to get into this in the second segment, reference to the Thucydides trap.
  200. 14:46Really seems to be a notion that we're confronting today.
  201. 14:50That's the by-product of has a kia-like bluntness that's at the stage for our own challenges
  202. 14:57down the line.
  203. 14:58A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  204. 15:04What should a pro-life church look like?
  205. 15:07What are some of the priorities, attributes, and perspectives of a local church which seeks
  206. 15:11to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our nation today as it addresses life issues.
  207. 15:16A pro-life church needs to be a praying church.
  208. 15:20Through prayer, they help to usher in the presence of God into their church and they share the
  209. 15:25heart and the mind of God with the culture.
  210. 15:28It can help a church family and an individual believer to both ask and receive the answer
  211. 15:33to another important question.
  212. 15:35The question the Apostle Paul asked immediately after he met Christ in Acts chapter 9 verse
  213. 15:416.
  214. 15:42Lord, what do you want me to do?
  215. 15:44And a very important companion question is this, am I really seeking to honor the Lord
  216. 15:50in doing what he would have ME to do as an individual disciple of Christ to help stand
  217. 15:56for life?
  218. 16:04Shiting light into the darkness, this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  219. 16:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton, the third here.
  220. 16:15No rest for the weary, fresh from Michigan.
  221. 16:20Don't worry.
  222. 16:21We'll still be hitting the road this summer.
  223. 16:23We will next be in Richmond, Virginia at the H.E.A.V. convention.
  224. 16:29That is the Home Educators Association of Virginia, June 4th through the 6th in Richmond, Virginia.
  225. 16:37You do have to register to attend this convention.
  226. 16:41H-E-A-V dot org is the website.
  227. 16:44This will be my second time participating in this convention.
  228. 16:47And I'm really looking forward to that.
  229. 16:50We also will be broadcasting live from Richmond, Virginia
  230. 16:54for the time that we're there.
  231. 16:55You see the one on my buddies.
  232. 16:56Yeah, yeah, we're going to see what hang out with Bobby's homies,
  233. 16:59you know, especially those who are upset
  234. 17:01with the Supreme Court in Virginia, you know.
  235. 17:03That's right.
  236. 17:04They're quite upset.
  237. 17:06Yeah, some say, oh, no, Bobby, Bobby fled from Virginia,
  238. 17:09kind of like Xi Jinping, fleet fled from China.
  239. 17:12And Bobby was rejoicing when he got his passport
  240. 17:14to leave there to come to United States of America.
  241. 17:17You see, you know.
  242. 17:19I tell Bobby, going back to your grounds
  243. 17:20where you stomped as a child, Bobby.
  244. 17:22Amen.
  245. 17:23He's like, give them my lack of regards.
  246. 17:25I got him on cowbell.
  247. 17:28Well, we will be there looking forward to that.
  248. 17:31Then the immediate next week, we will be in Pennsylvania
  249. 17:36at Elizabethtown College specifically,
  250. 17:39in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania,
  251. 17:41at the Christian Homes School Association
  252. 17:43of Pennsylvania's Convention.
  253. 17:45That will be July, July, June 11th, 12th and 13th.
  254. 17:51So back to back weeks, we will not broadcast
  255. 17:54from Pennsylvania, though,
  256. 17:55and that's simply due to the travel arrangement
  257. 17:58and travel schedule, but those are the next two iterations
  258. 18:03of being out on the road Richmond, Virginia,
  259. 18:05June 4th through the 6th in the very next week.
  260. 18:08And Elizabeth Town, Pennsylvania at the CHAP Convention,
  261. 18:12Christian Home Educators Association,
  262. 18:15Home School Association of Pennsylvania.
  263. 18:16You have to go to chapponline.org to register for that one.
  264. 18:21We are really, really excited about it.
  265. 18:24It's going to be a powerful, powerful time.
  266. 18:26I'll be sharing some things that I have not shared publicly
  267. 18:29yet in convention settings that I'm looking forward to doing.
  268. 18:34So Virginia, then Pennsylvania, and then we'll keep rolling.
  269. 18:40That's not the end of the travels.
  270. 18:41Oh no, we kind of just getting started.
  271. 18:44All right, I alluded to this while we were in Michigan
  272. 18:48and I didn't get to kind of unpack it with you
  273. 18:51because with all of the reporting concerning
  274. 18:56President Trump's meeting with Xi Jinping in China,
  275. 19:01You know, he said something that soon as I noticed, I was like, oh my goodness.
  276. 19:10I wonder if people realize what he's saying.
  277. 19:15And what I'm talking about is at the beginning of their meeting, President Trump was doing his
  278. 19:21normal Trump thing.
  279. 19:22And then for what is worth, I think it's wise for President Trump to establish kind of a
  280. 19:27baseline with China, but also you have to do so with the wisdom that doesn't allow you
  281. 19:32to be, you know, willfully ignorant about who it is that you're really dealing with.
  282. 19:37And like one of the things that lets me know they know what they're dealing with, because
  283. 19:40when they leave China, President Trump gives the instruction, by the way, don't take any
  284. 19:44of those gifts that the Chinese gave you, put them on this plane.
  285. 19:47And the President's, the delegation, President Trump and all of the business leaders, they
  286. 19:51didn't bring any cell phones, they didn't bring any digital devices, they didn't bring
  287. 19:54anything that could be tapped, which lets me know what they know who they're dealing with.
  288. 20:00And all of the gifts because the Chinese gave them all kind of like phones and pens and not
  289. 20:04even buttons.
  290. 20:06Anything that came from the Chinese leave right here in China.
  291. 20:09Right?
  292. 20:10So that lets me know they know who they're dealing with.
  293. 20:12But it does provoke the question.
  294. 20:14If you know these are the type of people you're dealing with, there must be a wisdom and a
  295. 20:19shrewdness that's employed that if you're going to deal with them.
  296. 20:22But what I'm talking about is in response to President Trump's kind of effusive recognition
  297. 20:29and saying things like, you know, quote, to Xi Jinping, you're a great leader.
  298. 20:33Sometimes people don't like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it's true.
  299. 20:36It's an honor to be your friend, friend.
  300. 20:38The relationship between China and the USA is going to be better than ever before.
  301. 20:41And quote, these are the kind of things that Trump said, you know, that's normal Trump
  302. 20:44fair.
  303. 20:45Well, Xi Jinping was not responsibly effusive to President Trump.
  304. 20:54Now I've seen this imprint reported, but I haven't heard much conversation around this,
  305. 21:00which doesn't surprise me because it was this thing called journalism that you might find
  306. 21:04in a museum somewhere, but it is not a consistent feature of the day.
  307. 21:10But I want to invite you to first understand what the reference means and then think through
  308. 21:14some of its implications because I think that many Americans perceive China to be more potent
  309. 21:24than it truly is.
  310. 21:25Now, I don't miss going through what I'm saying.
  311. 21:26I don't think China is a little weakling over here, but China has issues and they work overtime
  312. 21:35to try to conceal their issues to present an appearance publicly that doesn't necessarily
  313. 21:43hold true at home.
  314. 21:45For example, they're having demographic issues.
  315. 21:46You can't have a one-child policy for 50 years and then all of a sudden say, oh, by the way,
  316. 21:50we don't mean that anymore and people's behavior automatically changes.
  317. 21:53We also have the reality that while it's a communist nation, but they're allowing certain
  318. 21:59features of capitalism in order to generate money, but the status is that the government
  319. 22:04can nationalize any industry whenever they want to at any moment.
  320. 22:11So any money you make, that's our money, whatever you want.
  321. 22:14And so you have kind of commercialism and consumerism rising in China, but wages aren't
  322. 22:20necessarily reflecting that.
  323. 22:21You have master strikes, master things that are happening.
  324. 22:24And then you also have the reality of China's dependence on others for like foreign oil.
  325. 22:30China has to import oil.
  326. 22:32And it's a very narrow strait.
  327. 22:33I think it's called the Strait of Malaki, or, or, or, forgiving about mispronounced that,
  328. 22:39to very narrow strait.
  329. 22:40That is somehow that strait ends up being put in a strait.
  330. 22:44Then China's in a bad way.
  331. 22:46And right now, the major sources of China's oil provisions just so happen to have a significant
  332. 22:54United States of America thumb on them at the moment.
  333. 22:58So all of that kind of undergirds what I'm talking about.
  334. 23:01But the expression that Xi Jinping employed and then the Chinese Foreign Minister built
  335. 23:09on thereafter was Xi's reference to saying, quote, he hopes that the US and China can avoid
  336. 23:16conflict where two countries, whether the two countries can transcend the Thucydides trap
  337. 23:25and forge a new model for relations between major powers.
  338. 23:30Now, this reference to Thucydides trap, this dates back all the way to the fifth century
  339. 23:39B.C.
  340. 23:40So, this is what we have to do a little history to understand what's going on.
  341. 23:43And it shows many people say these things.
  342. 23:48It gives you an indication as to what their mindsets are.
  343. 23:52All right?
  344. 23:53So building up to understanding
  345. 23:55what this Thucydides trap is.
  346. 23:57First, I've skipped forward to about 480 BC, right?
  347. 24:04And this is actually the same time period
  348. 24:07that corresponds with the book of Hadassa,
  349. 24:09in scripture, the book of Esther.
  350. 24:11Esther's Hebrew name is Hadassa.
  351. 24:13all of the events concerning the Greek kings, Xerxes and him putting away his first wife.
  352. 24:24That was following frustration because the Spartans were putting a whoop to the Persians
  353. 24:30during the battle of Thermopylae.
  354. 24:32All of that is contemporaneous.
  355. 24:34All right.
  356. 24:36So with the Spartans leading to the ultimate victory over the Persians, and this is the
  357. 24:44transition of power that ultimately the transition from the Persians later to the Greeks as prophesied
  358. 24:49by the book of Daniel, by the way, prophesied by Daniel and recorded in the book of Daniel,
  359. 24:55the whole movie 300 with King Leonidas, that is depicting a historical event. All right?
  360. 25:00Well following that, following that from 480 BC, 50 years thereafter to about 431 to 404
  361. 25:10BC, there was tension between the Spartans and the Athenians that culminated in the Peloponnesian
  362. 25:18wars.
  363. 25:20This is a series of wars, but prior to war actually being instituted, Sparta was the established
  364. 25:28dominant Greek city-state power, ultimately Greek power, the Grecian power there.
  365. 25:36following the battle of Thermopylae, we have the Greeks that put the whoop to Xerxes and
  366. 25:40the Persians. Well, what ended up happening over time, because the Spartans had their emphasis
  367. 25:45on the agogae, military war, for things of that nature, the Athenians were more shrewd politically.
  368. 25:50Over time, the Athenians ascended in socio-political power and status in Greece. And that ascension
  369. 26:00began to rival Sparta. So Sparta had allies on one side, the Athenians had allies on the
  370. 26:06the other side. The Athenians arose to the point to where their cultural influence and
  371. 26:13cultural dominance was reflected in about the 5th century as the leader what was called
  372. 26:18then the Delian League, the Delian League. So with this tension continuing to ascend, this
  373. 26:25leads to the Peloponnesian Wars. Wars over, as I mentioned, from about 431 to 404 BC, decades
  374. 26:34a warfare between the Athenians and the Spartans.
  375. 26:38Thucydides is a historian who is widely regarded as the progenitor of scientific history recording
  376. 26:46because this history didn't include a lot of the pagan mysticism and things of that nature.
  377. 26:50You just kind of just the facts may have kind of thing.
  378. 26:53Well Thucydides recorded the history of the Peloponnesian Wars right up until about 411
  379. 27:00BC.
  380. 27:01Thucydides' famous quote was this, quote,
  381. 27:05it was the rise of Athens and the fear
  382. 27:08that this instilled in Sparta that made war inevitable.
  383. 27:12End quote.
  384. 27:13So that is Thucydides' quote.
  385. 27:14He's making the observation that Athens' ascension
  386. 27:18is what made Sparta uncomfortable,
  387. 27:21and he articulated that uncomfortability
  388. 27:23that Sparta had made war inevitable.
  389. 27:27All right.
  390. 27:28Now, I'm gonna pause for a moment.
  391. 27:30with that backdrop.
  392. 27:32One of the first things that came to my mind,
  393. 27:35that came to my mind was,
  394. 27:42I wonder which one she thinks China is.
  395. 27:49Does China think that they're Sparta
  396. 27:52in this Thucydides metaphor?
  397. 27:55No, I don't think so.
  398. 27:56I think she is attempting to say
  399. 28:00that the Chinese are the ascending Athenians in that the United States of America are the
  400. 28:09established Spartans in this metaphor. Here's the thing that is the oval, overarching communication
  401. 28:20that I believe that Xi Jinping is making. I think his reference to an effort to avoid the
  402. 28:26the Thucydides trap is his way of saying, Mr. Trump, United States of America, the era of
  403. 28:34his terminology, unipolar global leadership is over. The era of you guys being at the top
  404. 28:42all by yourselves is over. That's what I think he's trying to say. Now, here's the question
  405. 28:48I have for the president and for our country and for you at home. Are you cool with that?
  406. 28:55What do you think about that?
  407. 28:56All right, all right, all right.
  408. 28:58And isn't it amazing that all of a sudden
  409. 29:00you have all these talking heads
  410. 29:01and a lot of them who quote unquote
  411. 29:03on the political right talking about, yeah, we can't,
  412. 29:05we no longer can't have unipolar leadership.
  413. 29:07We no longer can't unipolar leadership.
  414. 29:09I don't just like, we need to have a real conversation
  415. 29:15about what's really going on here
  416. 29:16because first of all, like I said before,
  417. 29:18in the first segment, I think it's inescapable
  418. 29:22in the assessment in recognizing that prior to China
  419. 29:26granted permanent normal relationship permanent normal
  420. 29:28relations with the United States of America. That's an
  421. 29:30economic term of art that granted China direct access
  422. 29:34perpetually without having to reapply to American markets,
  423. 29:37to American manufacturing and ultimately American American
  424. 29:40dollars is what gave rise to China's ascension. Without that,
  425. 29:44you don't have China with the capabilities they have now. And
  426. 29:51similar to what I said about his achiah, I believe there were
  427. 29:56people in our country from Wall Street to K Street, all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,
  428. 30:03that was so shortsighted that they did not have the wherewithal to see.
  429. 30:07Do you realize that you are suing the seeds for your own rivalry down the line?
  430. 30:13I think now is a little bit easier to see.
  431. 30:16You know, when certain things pop off like schmovet, and by the way that came from where?
  432. 30:21Jaina.
  433. 30:22What was the last time Trump said that, by the way, public Jaina?
  434. 30:26gives the Wuhan, the Wuhan virus because it came from Wuhan, China.
  435. 30:31And they know it comes from there.
  436. 30:35They will allow travel from Wuhan to the United States of America,
  437. 30:39but they would not allow travel from Wuhan to anywhere else in China.
  438. 30:43It is like that for months.
  439. 30:45And they won't tell us anything about what's going on.
  440. 30:52So these are things, when I hear this through Citi's Trapped Reference,
  441. 30:56this is what I think of going a little bit further with historical background.
  442. 31:02So decades later, the Thucydides trap reference is a term that was coined by the American author,
  443. 31:08Graham Allison.
  444. 31:11And what Graham did is he conducted a study at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science
  445. 31:16and International Affairs from 2012 to 2017 to where he evaluated within the last 500 years
  446. 31:22of history up to 2017 that he found 16 historical instances of an emerging power rivaling a ruling
  447. 31:29power.
  448. 31:30And of those 16 instances, 12 ended in war.
  449. 31:34Following that study, he published a book titled,
  450. 31:36quote, Destin for War, Can America and China Escape
  451. 31:40the Ducidity's Trap that was published in 2017?
  452. 31:43So Xi Jinping's reference tells me one,
  453. 31:45and he read Graham Alice's book,
  454. 31:49two, that he sees himself and sees his nation
  455. 31:54as being either Spartan or Athens.
  456. 31:58My question for us is how do we see ourselves?
  457. 32:02And do we recognize what it is we're dealing with when it comes to China?
  458. 32:09I'm gonna say it like my grandmother used to say, I don't trust them as far as I can throw
  459. 32:12them.
  460. 32:15And for too long, we've had regressive leaders in our country who trusted them with no hesitation
  461. 32:21while at the exact same time they stated over and over and over again that we are war with
  462. 32:25them.
  463. 32:26We're not popping off any firecrackers, we're not shooting bullets, we're not a ballistic
  464. 32:28kinetic war, but in every other way we're at war with them.
  465. 32:32I'm explaining all of this, first of all, for your own edification to invite you to
  466. 32:37pray along these lines, but also, but also to encourage a proper assessment and understanding
  467. 32:46as to what it is we're dealing with.
  468. 32:48And so when they say that for them, Taiwan is a bridge too far, what does that truly mean
  469. 32:54for us?

  490. 34:05The Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Commentaries
  491. 34:08are available at eFR.net.
  492. 34:10back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  493. 34:16Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner,
  494. 34:17Abraham Hamilton the third here.
  495. 34:20One of the points I'm driving toward,
  496. 34:22and Bobby and I would just have this conversation
  497. 34:23doing the break, is that I think President Trump needs
  498. 34:26to dispatch some of his more effective communicators
  499. 34:28to articulate the efficacy of some of the things
  500. 34:31that are happening.
  501. 34:32So the significance of Taiwan economically
  502. 34:36will, over time, diminish somewhat
  503. 34:38because a lot of the chip in industry
  504. 34:40and things that are happening there currently
  505. 34:42is their their their their foundation being set in place,
  506. 34:45concrete being poured so to speak to bring some of that back
  507. 34:49stateside not trying to rinse back everything that China does but
  508. 34:53some of these things with with critical technological related
  509. 34:58and other related infrastructure is being built and I think there
  510. 35:03needs to be a more clear communication of our unwillingness
  511. 35:09to how shall I say this, share priority globally with them. Because here's a major thing, you can't
  512. 35:19share potency with a Communist force. Can I do it? Can I do it? Can I do it? Their flirtation
  513. 35:32with the features of market forces is simply because they got tired of being behind economically.
  514. 35:37It has nothing to do with the true value that they enjoyed.
  515. 35:41They want to simply have a funding engine for their communist ideations, which is why she
  516. 35:48had himself enshrined as president for life.
  517. 35:52So there's something I want you to be aware of.
  518. 35:54I wanted you to be able to understand what the Thucydides trap is and what it reveals as
  519. 36:01to how she perceives himself and their nation to be and how we should respond accordingly.
  520. 36:11And yeah, it's funny. I don't know what the radio was calling, Shmovel with the kung flu.
  521. 36:19YouTube didn't like that too much. All right, now I want to go to a story and this happened over
  522. 36:24the weekend at the United Kingdom rally in London. And Tommy Robinson was leading that.
  523. 36:31And it is that's exactly right and you how can two walk together unless they be agreed bottom line
  524. 36:38bottom line bottom line
  525. 36:44Another one Dolly says we never should have gotten
  526. 36:48connected with a communist nation
  527. 36:52Absolutely right like how can we go from mr. Gorbachev tear down that wall to say yeah
  528. 36:56We want poor permanent normal relations with red China. It's just that's just foolish. That's why I'm saying that a lack of discernment
  529. 37:03Remember, she should never be president.
  530. 37:04Let's get the red button out and have a restart with Russia.
  531. 37:08Remember that?
  532. 37:09I mean, the lack of discernment.
  533. 37:13All right, back to the United Kingdom rally.
  534. 37:16And I want to point this out to you for several reasons.
  535. 37:19What happened there?
  536. 37:20First, it is nauseating and exhausting all at the same time to show just how sick the talking
  537. 37:34can stake media truly is. So over and over and over and over and over and over and over
  538. 37:38and over and over and over and over again. There are reports that are trying to say, oh,
  539. 37:42it was only about 50,000 people should have all about 60,000 people should have all about
  540. 37:4650,000 people showed up. It's like, why are y'all so eager to say that? Did any of you
  541. 37:52guys count? Did any of you have anybody there to count? There's an effort really to marginalize
  542. 38:00what was happening there. And then here's another thing. There's a consistent effort
  543. 38:04to paint, to paint Tommy Robinson and the United Kingdom rally as anti-Muslim bigotry,
  544. 38:17because Tommy Robinson has the audacity to say, hey, you know what? Muslims are slaughtering
  545. 38:21Christians in Nigeria. Muslims are raping in Europe and in England in particular, and
  546. 38:31saying that, not saying that every Muslim is doing it, but saying these are things that
  547. 38:35happening, saying that the massive, you know, regressive immigration policy has been disastrous
  548. 38:44for Europe and saying it out loud, being willing to say it and say, you know what? England has
  549. 38:51a heritage. England's future shouldn't be tied to saying that, oh, well, everything about our history
  550. 38:58is bad. We have to wear a thought to say if there are things that are bad on history to identify
  551. 39:02those things that are bad, but not to throw the baby out with the bath water. No. And that's
  552. 39:11That's another one.
  553. 39:12And that's a great point.
  554. 39:13I have no doubt about it.
  555. 39:14The connection between the United States and China on the Clinton, cemented on the Clinton,
  556. 39:20was no doubt in my view and effort to move the United States from America closer to communism.
  557. 39:25No doubt, closer to Marxism.
  558. 39:26No doubt about it.
  559. 39:28No doubt about it.
  560. 39:29But getting back to the United Kingdom rally.
  561. 39:31Now, I didn't count.
  562. 39:33There's no way I could count.
  563. 39:34But looking at the videos that I saw and the reports that I saw, it sure looked like a
  564. 39:38lot more than 50,000 people to me.
  565. 39:41the previous rally that time of Robinson did, the reports where there were 150,000 people
  566. 39:46at that rally. This seemed to be bigger than that one. I didn't count. I couldn't count.
  567. 39:55But it sure looked like it was way more than 50,000 to 60,000 people. And then this is another
  568. 40:00thing, which is why I'm going to show you video and audio from the rally because you have
  569. 40:07all these people talking about, Oh, yeah, I got some. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. You know, see it
  570. 40:13on the run down? Oh, yeah, we got it. Uh huh. See Bobby surprise. He, you know, we had this
  571. 40:18on the run. He knows Jeff. He know. He know. We have some video for you because Tommy Robinson
  572. 40:23invited Nigerian Bishop, Shouan Jumez, to share at the rally. And I'm saying all of these people
  573. 40:33that are report reporting these things and they're just copying and pasting the same
  574. 40:37reports and 50,000 and anti-Muslim bigotry, 50,000 anti-Muslim bigotry, racism, racism,
  575. 40:43and racism, this is a racism, this is a racism, I'm saying that any of these people listen to
  576. 40:47the African bishop, that any of them, to which the clear answer y'all know what the answer is.
  577. 40:54No, they couldn't be bothered to actually evaluate what truly happened and report truthfully and
  578. 41:02objectively. And if you want to add your editorial commentary there after condemning it at least,
  579. 41:07report the facts correctly, no, but they can't afford to do that because their effort, they want to
  580. 41:12not report facts, they want to shape narratives.
  581. 41:17And the purpose of the narrative shaping
  582. 41:19is to influence culture.
  583. 41:24I have two primary clips I want you to listen to
  584. 41:27from the Nigerian Anglican Bishop, Juan Zumbes,
  585. 41:31who is literally telling what he's encountered in Nigeria
  586. 41:35and communicating to the British and to the English
  587. 41:39that God, you need to protect your society
  588. 41:43From this becoming your norm and your reality.
  589. 41:46Listen to and watch.
  590. 41:47This is the first of the two clips I'm gonna show
  591. 41:49from the United Kingdom reality.
  592. 41:51Listen to and watch clip number five, clip five.
  593. 41:54Go.
  594. 41:55My name is Joanne Zumbes,
  595. 41:59and I'm the Anglican Bishop of Bucharud, Dices.
  596. 42:04The gospel came to us from England specifically.
  597. 42:08So I am at home right now at home,
  598. 42:14But it will see what is our parents have abandoned the faith
  599. 42:19and left the faith towards Nigeria.
  600. 42:24And as a result, we see situations that are beyond our capacity
  601. 42:34to contend with.
  602. 42:36For years, pro-tructuredly, the church in Nigeria
  603. 42:40has been under severe persecution.
  604. 42:44Christians in Nigeria are persecuted in different ways,
  605. 42:49Different dimensions, communities which are predominantly Christian communities are daily
  606. 42:59attacked.
  607. 43:02People killed, churches raised down and whole communities sucked.
  608. 43:09That's the situation we live in Nigeria today.
  609. 43:13So, Christian persecution Nigeria, you know, is a reality because the Bible tells us that
  610. 43:18the church is a body, is a single body, but with different parts.
  611. 43:23A part of your body in pain leaves the whole body in pain."
  612. 43:29That's the first of the two I want to share.
  613. 43:32Now listen to the second clip I pulled from the United Kingdom
  614. 43:35Rally, Bishop Junbei is speaking, clip number six,
  615. 43:39clip six, go.
  616. 43:40In fact, mandatory, keep napping every day.
  617. 43:45Personally, an attempt has been made on me to kidnap me.
  618. 43:50The Lord saved me that night.
  619. 43:53Full of the young people that come to my house,
  620. 43:56attempting to break into my house,
  621. 43:58they couldn't just get in there.
  622. 44:00At the end of the day, with AK-47,
  623. 44:04they had to leave because they couldn't just
  624. 44:06penetrate my house, and then went to my next door
  625. 44:09and kept napping on, took him away.
  626. 44:12Now, so they are brothers in the West,
  627. 44:15particularly those of you in England, the United Kingdom.
  628. 44:18If you do not stand with the race of the
  629. 44:20I want to assure you, friends, that what is happening to us is no static.
  630. 44:28It's migrating.
  631. 44:30The truth of the gospel has made you who you are today.
  632. 44:33You dare not abandon the gospel.
  633. 44:35You need the gospel.
  634. 44:37The gospel has become part of your culture.
  635. 44:40It's ingrained in you.
  636. 44:41No one should come and rob you of that culture.
  637. 44:45It gives you all of the privileges you today enjoy.
  638. 44:48So please, it's my desire, my prayer, that you hold onto that gospel.
  639. 44:54Never let it go.
  640. 44:56May Christ reign in your life.
  641. 44:58May Christ reign in England.
  642. 45:00May Christ reign in every single community in England.
  643. 45:04Thank you very much for the privilege.
  644. 45:06God bless.
  645. 45:10Now, I wonder if all of the reporters
  646. 45:12have talked about how this racist, bigoted, rallied.
  647. 45:17Did they listen to the more melanated bishop?
  648. 45:19before they came to the conclusion of course not, of course not.
  649. 45:24And he hit the nail on the head, you know, he explained to them what you are viewing as
  650. 45:31a social political phenomenon really is evident because England has abandoned the gospel and
  651. 45:38he's warning them.
  652. 45:39And he's talking about anti-Muslim bigotry, he's saying, no, the Philani showed up at my
  653. 45:44house.
  654. 45:45The Philani with the AK-47s was trying to kick in my front door to kidnap me.
  655. 45:52I'm not telling what I heard.
  656. 45:54I'm not telling what I read on BBC.
  657. 45:59I did not read this on BBC.
  658. 46:03I'm telling that they tried to kick in my door and when they couldn't get in my house,
  659. 46:07they kidnapped my neighbor.
  660. 46:09Then he warned them this way, if you abandon the gospel, England, what is happening there
  661. 46:16is going to happen here.
  662. 46:18It's going to happen here.
  663. 46:23I am sharing this with you, as I mentioned, to correct the record so you can have something
  664. 46:29that you're never going to get from the lying media to report on.
  665. 46:35But also to heed the words that what we know, this is why I have Bill Federer on this show
  666. 46:42to talk about the history of Islam.
  667. 46:44When we talk about the spread of Islam, it didn't spread through like proselytizing,
  668. 46:51it was spread by force.
  669. 46:54spread by conquest. It's amazing when you talk about colonial powers, nobody discusses Islam.
  670. 47:04Why? In the warning that he gave to England is a warning that applies to us. If we abandon the
  671. 47:14gospel in our nation, if we abandon the gospel in our nation and he made the contrast, everything
  672. 47:24that you are is based on the gospel. The gospel saturates your culture. He's basically saying,
  673. 47:30The gospel is so foundational to England.
  674. 47:32You guys take it for granted.
  675. 47:34You guys take it for granted.
  676. 47:38The same warning is to us.
  677. 47:41England is further along the road of regressive despotism
  678. 47:45than we are, but we're not too far behind them.
  679. 47:49We're not too far behind them.
  680. 47:51We have the things we've talked about,
  681. 47:54the no-go zones in Dearborn, you know,
  682. 47:59portions of Michigan, the sea that just came from.
  683. 48:02You saw in the Dallas area,
  684. 48:04Well, we're going to have a Muslim only party at the pool.
  685. 48:10Nobody else can come.
  686. 48:12You know, in San Diego today, you have a shooting at an Islamic center today.
  687. 48:20I didn't go into a lot of detail on it because I had that in my stack.
  688. 48:23I want to get more information before I come out.
  689. 48:26This is happening, guys.
  690. 48:28This is happening.
  691. 48:31And the word of God is true.
  692. 48:34The account of His Sakai is not included there for us to repeat it.
  693. 48:39In the fundamental reality is that discernment is the byproduct of submitting ourselves to
  694. 48:44the transformation of the Lord through His Word.
  695. 48:48And if we are not a people who will submit ourselves to the transformation of the Lord
  696. 48:52through His Word, we are rejecting critical discernment.
  697. 49:00And we'll see blunders repeated like the permanent normal relations with China.
  698. 49:08We'll see that repeated.
  699. 49:10Thankfully, some people blew the whistle on the pool party in Dallas, but do you think the
  700. 49:18efforts there will stop the epic city phenomenon in the North Dallas area?
  701. 49:22Do you think that's going to stop?
  702. 49:23What do you think is going to consistently continue?
  703. 49:26Also, we can't forget about the New York Islamianist mayor, Zoram, the Mo-Ram.
  704. 49:40The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the American
  705. 49:45Family Association or American Family Radio.
