  10. 0:28And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:32Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:35Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  13. 0:37I'm your host, Abraham Hamilton III.
  14. 0:40Joined by the cornet contingent right across from me,
  15. 0:42my man 100 grand Mr. Bobby.
  16. 0:44Ha-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra.
  17. 0:47And in the screening, we're producing extraordinaire,
  18. 0:49often imitated and never duplicated the real Jay Mac,
  19. 0:52ladies and gentlemen, and we are ready to rock and roll
  20. 0:54with today's edition of the program
  21. 0:57to get this work week kicked off.
  22. 0:59We are excited to be with you.
  23. 1:01We are planning a few remote broadcasts this week.
  24. 1:05I voter guide is having a conference
  25. 1:08on the Patriot Academy campus this week.
  26. 1:11Rick Green, our colleague here is hosting
  27. 1:16the I voter guide and planning the broadcast
  28. 1:18from there later this week.
  29. 1:19So it's gonna be an exciting week of programming
  30. 1:22and excited to confer with you all,
  31. 1:26share information and most importantly to encourage you to
  32. 1:29continue to fight the good fight of faith at this very moment.
  33. 1:33Many of you, if not most of you are making your transition from
  34. 1:36your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full
  35. 1:40time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want
  36. 1:42to remind you to do so with intentionality, I will continue
  37. 1:47to stress this. Because the story of America secularization has
  38. 1:52not been the effective evangelistic circuit writing of the
  39. 1:56Atheists, no, no, it has been, unfortunately, the phenomenon articulating the Colossians
  40. 2:06too, in that the old deluder has been able to infiltrate the homes and ultimately the
  41. 2:15local assemblies and to cultivate a certain affinity for worldliness that rivaled the
  42. 2:22the truth of Christ and over the course of time, because discipleship is a constant, which simply
  43. 2:29means it's going to happen. The only question is who is going to be the discipler and in which
  44. 2:35direction will the discipleship occur? Jesus told us the student when fully trained, he will be like
  45. 2:41his teacher. And much of what is transpired in our country, the spirit of the age has infiltrated
  46. 2:50at the family level in many instances and ultimately into the local assembly to kind of twist following the way of Christ into something that is foreign.
  47. 3:05And over time, as a proverb warned a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, our nation went from Mr. Gorbachev tear down that wall to New York City's Islamianist mayor,
  48. 3:23which increasingly large contingents of younger people,
  49. 3:29who at least by name would say they prefer socialism,
  50. 3:35which of course the illogical underpinnings of socialism
  51. 3:37is atheism.
  52. 3:39And as Marx posited, socialism is simply
  53. 3:43and a step en route to full on communism.
  54. 3:47How does that happen?
  55. 3:50That's how it happens.
  56. 3:52But by God's grace, we have the wherewithal to recognize
  57. 3:56as transpired and turned the tide.
  58. 4:00And thanks be to God that he is still in the business of using crickets sticks to paint
  59. 4:06straight lines.
  60. 4:08What began as a small movement in Israel grew to the place to where these people have shaken
  61. 4:19up the entire world have now come here.
  62. 4:22And it's not over until God says it's over.
  63. 4:27that he has determined and articulated in his word that he makes himself known through his
  64. 4:32people. Hence my encouragement to you. What goes on in your house is far more important
  65. 4:40than what goes on in the White House. We can, if we will, what do I mean by that? We can
  66. 4:48see the Lord's hand and turn in the tide. If we will obey what he's commanded, you and
  67. 4:53I individually, instead of looking over there, I said, what they're not doing with somebody
  68. 4:58is not doing, let's look at ourselves and see what has God required of me. And am I being faithful in
  69. 5:05what God has required of me? At this very moment, many of you have not most of you, as I mentioned,
  70. 5:10you're making your transition from part-time work to full-time. Let's do it with intentionality.
  71. 5:16Let's be about our Father's business. To the Word of God we go. 2 Peter chapter 1 again.
  72. 5:22I want to go back to 2 Peter chapter 1 in this conversation here from the Lord's Word is going
  73. 5:29to frame and shape the remainder of the program. In 2 Peter chapter 1 verses 12 through 15,
  74. 5:38Peter writes and is keenly aware that the time of his, the expiration of his natural life
  75. 5:45is at hand and not just expiration. He ultimately is martyred under Nero. But he says this,
  76. 5:502 Peter chapter 1 verse 12, therefore I will always be ready to remind you of these things
  77. 5:54things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth, which
  78. 6:03is present with you.
  79. 6:05I consider it right as long as I am in this earthly dwelling to stir you up by way of reminder,
  80. 6:14knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent.
  81. 6:19As also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me, and I will also be diligent that at
  82. 6:26And any time after my departure, you will be able to call these things to mind.
  83. 6:32I pointed out before from this text that Peter was keenly aware that the time of his demise
  84. 6:38was near.
  85. 6:39I mean, he said it plainly in verse 14, knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling
  86. 6:43is imminent.
  87. 6:44It's imminent.
  88. 6:45It's here.
  89. 6:46I'm about to be out, y'all.
  90. 6:47That's what Peter is saying.
  91. 6:49The time of my earthly engagement as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ is coming to an end.
  92. 6:56I'm going to use the remainder of my time that God has given me here. I'm going to diligently use that
  93. 7:06so that you will be able to thrive in what God has called you to, the life of Christ following,
  94. 7:13even after my departure. The point I want to convey to you now is that the principles that are
  95. 7:23articulated to the Christ follower, they exceed the span, they
  96. 7:30exceed one's temporal lifespan. They exceed one's temporal
  97. 7:35lifespan. The principles and the commands of Jesus to its
  98. 7:41offspring, they are anchored in eternity. I've gone through
  99. 7:48details before explaining how the revelation concerning this,
  100. 7:54this inalienable right phenomenon is a revelation that flowed from the idea that mankind is made
  101. 8:01in the image of God. The things that this is where, and you've heard me say this before,
  102. 8:07we need to make a decision whether or not we're going to be partisans or we're going to be Christians
  103. 8:11because if partisans are the affinity that the partisans will inevitably stray away
  104. 8:18from biblical truth. Inevitably, we'll stray away from biblical truth. But if it is Christ over
  105. 8:26everything, you don't have to worry about you straying anywhere because you're anchored in principles
  106. 8:31and truth that transcends your temporal lifespan. I've shared with you all my testimony in regards to
  107. 8:39civic engagement and things of that nature, that I had no clue what conservatism was or what it meant
  108. 8:45meant to be a part of him and all that is what I knew,
  109. 8:47is that Jesus saved me.
  110. 8:48That's what I knew.
  111. 8:50And as I studied the scripture,
  112. 8:52there were certain things that Jesus required in scripture.
  113. 8:54For example, the sanctity of human life
  114. 8:56was not a political talking point that I arrived at.
  115. 9:00You know, the Lord gripped me by the truth of his word,
  116. 9:02by the power of his spirit concerning the fact
  117. 9:04that he is the author of life.
  118. 9:07That when you have passages like Malachi,
  119. 9:09I'm sorry, Psalm 139 in Jeremiah,
  120. 9:16when the Lord talks about, and so I'm wondering,
  121. 9:19knowing all of your days before one came to fruition,
  122. 9:23Genesis one, Genesis two, man con being made
  123. 9:28in the image of God, seeing how God treats life
  124. 9:32and its value and how he responds to those
  125. 9:35who would take innocent life.
  126. 9:38That came from biblical conviction.
  127. 9:39I never saw a political debate on this.
  128. 9:44This is what the Lord gripped me by,
  129. 9:46respecting people and being remained in violent in their property.
  130. 9:52It flowed from the reality that all good and perfect gives flow from the Father of
  131. 9:55lights that when man has anything, it's only been afforded to him as a steward placed
  132. 10:01in their stewardship by God Almighty.
  133. 10:05And the reality of not only you shall not steal being a sin, but the Lord ups the
  134. 10:11ante say, you shall not even covet in the in the legal context.
  135. 10:16That is an in co hate crime and in co hates and, but that flows from the character
  136. 10:20and the person of God.
  137. 10:23That's not some, that I didn't arrive at that conclusion
  138. 10:26from some, you know, white paper from some think tank,
  139. 10:33you know, understand in the right functioning
  140. 10:36of government even, recognizing that government
  141. 10:39is not merely the innovation of man's mind,
  142. 10:42that government comes from God, which reveals the reality
  143. 10:46that there's a biblical anchor for legitimate government
  144. 10:50and there is an illegitimate government.
  145. 10:52That is the idea from which our declaration articulated
  146. 10:58that government exists to serve the ends
  147. 11:01to protect to the person made in God's image,
  148. 11:06those rights that are inalienable,
  149. 11:08that government doesn't bequeath rights to people,
  150. 11:10they protect God given pre-political rights.
  151. 11:15That, I didn't get that from any white paper.
  152. 11:18So my point in saying these things
  153. 11:22is that a part of the challenge in this moment
  154. 11:24I don't know if you noticed yet, but, um,
  155. 11:29there's a bit of that dare I say, um,
  156. 11:33an identity crisis going on, especially right now,
  157. 11:38amongst those who profess to be, you know, participants in the GOP.
  158. 11:44What does it really mean?
  159. 11:47This is one of the major reasons why I often describe my, um,
  160. 11:51position as being more of a constitutionalist simply put because they've been
  161. 11:56people saying and doing things in an amosocall conservatism that I remotely
  162. 11:59close to being conservative. You know, I'm not going to go on a big deal about this now,
  163. 12:06but the government shutdown boil came right down to the reality of Obamacare. Well, why
  164. 12:11didn't Republicans, when they had majority repeal Obamacare, we wouldn't even have to
  165. 12:14have this issue because Republican will be in the garbage dump. But if you recall, there
  166. 12:20were Republicans that kept Obamacare from being repealed. Is that conservative? You
  167. 12:28know, and the point of this is not to spend a whole lot of time highlighting the various
  168. 12:34iterations of partisanship, but to reorient us to the fact that, wait a minute, we should
  169. 12:38seek to anchor our positions for engagement on notions that are endure that are durable,
  170. 12:47that are eternal. That is why I would argue that we've enjoyed the longest standard republic
  171. 12:55in the history of the world, because that republic has been founded upon principles that
  172. 13:00are eternal. They're not subject to the temporal, fickle nature of the ever-changing winds of a
  173. 13:07perpetually confused society. It's one of the major reasons why our founders established
  174. 13:14the constitutional public because it was an anticipation of man's fickle nature. Say, even
  175. 13:19when man gets blown to and fro, that there was a transcendent objective standard that aids
  176. 13:26doesn't know on wait, murder is murder because it is and always will be because God has established
  177. 13:32it as such. When Peter is explaining this, the time of my temporal dwelling, as he says
  178. 13:38in the verse 14, my earthly dwelling, the time of me laying aside, my earthly dwelling
  179. 13:43is imminent. And he is more specific as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
  180. 13:49I will be, I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure, you will be able
  181. 13:56to call these things to mind.
  182. 14:02With all of the uncertainty of this moment brothers and sisters, we have the opportunity
  183. 14:07to root our positions in the transcendent, unchanging truth of God's Word and the principles from
  184. 14:16God's Holy Word will drive our outward facing public facing engagement and enable us to
  185. 14:28advocate for mankind to embrace the only sound source.
  186. 14:33For us to enjoy what the scripture has revealed
  187. 14:35is available to us, and that is through God's holy word.
  188. 14:39This is one of the major reasons why I firmly object to it
  189. 14:43and resist efforts to try to recast positions
  190. 14:48in view of the current cultural climate.
  191. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker,
  192. 15:03Proverbs 15 verse 1.
  193. 15:06A soft word turns away wrath,
  194. 15:09but a harsh word stirs up anger.
  195. 15:12Proverbs 16 verse 24.
  196. 15:14Gracious words are like a honeycomb.
  197. 15:17Sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
  198. 15:21Words are powerful.
  199. 15:23Our words can do things far beyond what we seem to realize.
  200. 15:27Words can make someone's day
  201. 15:29and words can ruin someone's day.
  202. 15:32words can give people hope and words can help people feel hopeless.
  203. 15:37As the scripture says in Proverbs chapter 18 verse 21,
  204. 15:41Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
  205. 15:44Those who love it will eat its fruits.
  206. 15:47We are wise to pray the prayer found in Psalm 141 verse 3.
  207. 15:52Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth.
  208. 15:54Keep watch over the door of my lips.
  209. 16:00So right now may be the perfect time for you to rethink how you

  237. 17:00Shining light into the darkness, this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  238. 17:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton III.
  239. 17:15Here I am delighted to have my next guest on the program because many of you may know, some
  240. 17:20of you may not be aware.
  241. 17:22Operation Christmas Child's National Collection Week is underway.
  242. 17:27continues now all the way through to November 24th.
  243. 17:30And my guest is one of the representatives of Operation
  244. 17:33Christmas Child, none other than Miss Lita Geed.
  245. 17:36Miss Geed, thank you for joining me here on the Hamilton
  246. 17:39Corner on American Family Radio.
  247. 17:41It's a pleasure for to join you tonight.
  248. 17:44Oh, the pleasure is absolutely mine.
  249. 17:46And I am confident it is our listeners and viewers as well.
  250. 17:50Would you just share a little bit of your background?
  251. 17:51I know that you are from Cambodia originally.
  252. 17:55Would you share a little bit of your background
  253. 17:57and how you've encountered Operation Christmas Child
  254. 17:59ultimately in your own life?
  255. 18:01Sure, thank you.
  256. 18:03So my name is Lida Gitt,
  257. 18:05and I'm originally a shoe buck recipient,
  258. 18:08come from Cambodia.
  259. 18:10And I would like to share a little bit of my childhood.
  260. 18:15Before I received the shoe buck gift,
  261. 18:18when I was a kid, everyone in Cambodia was poor
  262. 18:21because they had been a war, the genocide.
  263. 18:24And I was hard, it was hard to find food,
  264. 18:27was hard to find a place to live and not every child could go to school. And as a child, I
  265. 18:33had no toy to play with it. And my dad was hardly ever around. And so my mom had to work
  266. 18:39so hard just for food. And there was no money for nice clothes or even by toys. And in fact,
  267. 18:47I never owned a pair of shoes and only a rubber flip-flop. And when I was around four years
  268. 18:55So, usually my mother took me to work with her,
  269. 18:59but one day she took, she left me home alone
  270. 19:03and that day I got kidnapped and I was so too a brothel.
  271. 19:07Child trafficking was a big problem at that time
  272. 19:10and I was only four, so I was so scared and terrified.
  273. 19:14And but fortunately I got rescue
  274. 19:19from a Cambodian Christian couple
  275. 19:22and they told me back to my mother on the same day,
  276. 19:25It was a miracle.
  277. 19:26And later on in life,
  278. 19:30I hardly ever saw my father,
  279. 19:32and all I know about him is that he was a gambler
  280. 19:34and womanizer, and he never took the responsibility
  281. 19:38over my mom and I, and he even gambled away our house.
  282. 19:42And so both of us had no place to leave.
  283. 19:44We were homeless, hopeless and loveless.
  284. 19:47And would you tell me, how would you respond
  285. 19:51and handle all this at a young age?
  286. 19:54And I, it was soon clear that I, my single mother
  287. 19:59could not protect and provide for me at the same time.
  288. 20:03So I was sent to leave with my uncle family
  289. 20:05and where he become like a true father to me.
  290. 20:08And I'm grateful to him for taking me
  291. 20:11into his Christian family.
  292. 20:13And he's a kind-hearted man.
  293. 20:15He took the responsibility for me.
  294. 20:17He provide for my basic needs,
  295. 20:20allowed me to go to school
  296. 20:21and took me to church every Sunday with the family
  297. 20:26where as soon it's become my favorite place to be at.
  298. 20:30And so my life at that time,
  299. 20:34if you can imagine it's like a dark cloud
  300. 20:36and I was not a happy child,
  301. 20:38I thought that I was not so special.
  302. 20:42I don't feel somebody, anyone can't for me
  303. 20:47me and I felt like I'm not even exist. So I always wonder where is the true love and why
  304. 21:02my life is like there's no color in my life's only dark and gray color. And one of the
  305. 21:10a favorite hobby that I used to do when I was a child.
  306. 21:15When I went to church, it's doing coloring.
  307. 21:18But when you go to church and do the coloring,
  308. 21:21you have to leave the stuff there.
  309. 21:23You cannot, you cannot, can never take it home.
  310. 21:27And that was it.
  311. 21:28And so I always love to draw in color,
  312. 21:31but I never get to own an art supply.
  313. 21:36So one day when I went to church,
  314. 21:38I was invited to check for kids' events with my cousins.
  315. 21:41And when I was in the room, there was a lot of kids.
  316. 21:46And then I noticed that there was a lot of boxes
  317. 21:50coupled with white cloths, but I can see the sparkly
  318. 21:56color paper wrapping around that boxes.
  319. 21:59It's just so, I was so curious what was inside it.
  320. 22:03How old were you at this point?
  321. 22:05So that's when I was around 12 years old.
  322. 22:10Okay.
  323. 22:11Yeah.
  324. 22:12So that I've been...
  325. 22:13That's interesting.
  326. 22:14Yes.
  327. 22:15So, yes.
  328. 22:16So when I was around 12 when I joined these kids, it went.
  329. 22:21And at the end of the program, after we hear the gospel presentation and all these stuff,
  330. 22:27they told our people going to receive a shoe buck gift.
  331. 22:31And I could not believe with my own eye that I was going to receive my very first gift ever
  332. 22:39from Operation Christmas Child.
  333. 22:41It brought tears to my eyes.
  334. 22:43They handed me my very own shoe bar gift.
  335. 22:46I remember it was a Robbie colorful paper.
  336. 22:49It was heavy.
  337. 22:51And the one thing, the first thing that caught my attention, it was the smell of the shoe
  338. 22:57bar.
  339. 22:58I did not know what you guys put in there.
  340. 23:00But even a toad brides also smells so good.
  341. 23:04And I remember I received school supplies, hygiene items, and like a toy, a doll, a
  342. 23:12jumbro.
  343. 23:13But one thing that stood out to me the most, it was a color, a very good quality color pencil.
  344. 23:23And you know, I told you that I all would love to draw, but I never get to own one.
  345. 23:30And so, having my very own ass supply inside the shoe bar, it made me feel careful and special.
  346. 23:38It was the moment that I realized that God is real and He came for me.
  347. 23:42And I was wondering where the shoe bar came from and who gave it to me.
  348. 23:46And when I asked, I was told that it came from people who love God.
  349. 23:51And I was amazed that someone who did not know me live across the world from me who
  350. 23:56cared enough to practice shoe bar.
  351. 23:58for me. I wanted school supply. I wanted a olive pencil and it was, they were there inside
  352. 24:06my shoe bar that made me felt that there's somebody out there who loved God and then I
  353. 24:13can receive God, tangible love that I can touch that I can feel and I can smell the love.
  354. 24:20I call a foreign smell, a role model, love that I can feel it.
  355. 24:27And so this show brought, it's really changed my life.
  356. 24:32It brought the color into my life layer on.
  357. 24:36And it was the moment that I realized that God is real and he cared for me.
  358. 24:41So, this, you know, even though life will feel with so much pains and many hardships,
  359. 24:50but I can clearly see Scott's hand protect for me over again and again.
  360. 24:55And the show about give was one of those seeds that got planted in my heart to remind
  361. 25:00me that I am not forgotten.
  362. 25:02I struggle to forgive those who hurt me, especially the one who was supposed to care for me like
  363. 25:09my own parent. But then I let her I learn in Isaiah 49 15 said, can a mother forget the baby at her
  364. 25:17breath and have no compassion to a child she has born, though she may forget, I will never forget
  365. 25:25you. And this scripture is reminded me that I have not forgotten God used many situations in my life
  366. 25:33to remind me that I am not forgotten.
  367. 25:36Amen.
  368. 25:37And the show about give,
  369. 25:39I planted seed in my heart
  370. 25:41and to experience God's tangible love.
  371. 25:45And because of experiencing this love, God's love for me,
  372. 25:49I learned this important life lesson
  373. 25:52is to forgive the whole hurt me,
  374. 25:54just ask Christ for giving my sin.
  375. 25:57Now let me ask you this,
  376. 25:58because I know you eventually become a teacher
  377. 26:01at the greatest journey.
  378. 26:02How did you accomplish your faith in Christ Jesus for salvation?
  379. 26:06Yes. So after I received my shoe bag, give a few year letter, I decided to put my faith in Christ.
  380. 26:13And I became so passionate about children ministry.
  381. 26:17And I got involved with that because of involving with the children ministry, I got to,
  382. 26:24I got the opportunity to reconnect it with our present Christmas child again.
  383. 26:28And then I had the opportunity to distribute shoeboxes to other children myself.
  384. 26:34Wow.
  385. 26:34And yeah, it was incredible being on the other side of the shoebox and witness the joys on
  386. 26:39the children faces just as I felt when I received mine.
  387. 26:43And also, yes, God told me to be more involved with the office in Christmas shop and by becoming
  388. 26:49the great best-year teacher.
  389. 26:51And this is a 12 discipleship program,
  390. 26:55offer to children after they receive the Shubak gift.
  391. 27:00We invite them back and have the discipleship program
  392. 27:03together with us.
  393. 27:05And I just want to tell you, I witnessed the impact
  394. 27:08of the gospel in the life of children.
  395. 27:12Not only as they heard the gospel before they received
  396. 27:14the Shubak gift, but as we went through
  397. 27:16the discipleship program together.
  398. 27:19And today, many of them I taught and now do one teaching
  399. 27:23and serving other children themselves.
  400. 27:26So the shoe box give Israeli an open door for evangelism,
  401. 27:31discipleship and multiplication.
  402. 27:34That is fantastic.
  403. 27:36And for those who may not be aware,
  404. 27:38as Ms. Gee shared, the greatest journey is a program
  405. 27:43that accompanies the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box gift
  406. 27:46because each child that receives the shoebox gift
  407. 27:50is invited to participate in the greatest journey.
  408. 27:53And I wanna ask you, Lita.
  409. 27:56Yes.
  410. 27:57And you described it a little bit.
  411. 27:59Can you just expound a little bit more
  412. 28:01of how it was for you after having received the shoebox
  413. 28:04such an early age, after having suffered?
  414. 28:09I mean, I know you only,
  415. 28:10you didn't even hit the tip of the iceberg
  416. 28:11and the things that you suffered.
  417. 28:13But to be on the other side, packing the shoeboxes
  418. 28:17and then teaching the greatest journey
  419. 28:20for children who receive gifts, shoebox gifts,
  420. 28:23just as you received.
  421. 28:26How would I feel?
  422. 28:28Yeah, how did it feel for you to be the one packing
  423. 28:30those shoeboxes?
  424. 28:31Oh, I mean, it was incredible.
  425. 28:34I cannot, when I received my shoebox gift,
  426. 28:36I never imagined that one day I would be also giving
  427. 28:40shoeboxes to other children.
  428. 28:41And now that I am America, I, myself and my family, are packing shoebox in force.
  429. 28:47Incredible.
  430. 28:48Being on the other side of the shoebox and, you know, it just made me feel that.
  431. 28:56And looking back, I can clearly see God's hand as he was guiding me through in a way that I could be here today.
  432. 29:03and to practice your body's children and then also to witness the impact of the eternal impact
  433. 29:14in that simple shoe box you can make the transformation in the children's lives around the world.
  434. 29:22You never know that the shoe box, that you pack can make the eternal impact in the life of the
  435. 29:27children around the world. You mentioned that you went through the struggle of
  436. 29:33learning to forgive those who hurt you and including, you know, your parents.
  437. 29:40My parents.
  438. 29:41Yeah.
  439. 29:42How did the shoebox gift relate to the love of Christ being revealed to you and then how
  440. 29:47did that impact your ability to grow to the point where you could forgive?
  441. 29:51Yeah.
  442. 29:52So I mentioned I struggle to forgive.
  443. 29:56Don't hurt me.
  444. 29:58I mean, not just my own parent, there were so many other people who hurt me and wrong me.
  445. 30:05And forgive, forgive someone who wrong, I wrongers and embarrassers or hurters. It's not easy.
  446. 30:12And sometimes it sounds impossible. But then after receiving this shoe bag,
  447. 30:17like I said, it's one of those seeds that got already planted in my heart to show me that I'm
  448. 30:24not forgotten and that he's care for me and I experience his love and that I learned that
  449. 30:31God love us so much that he said he beloved son to die on the cross for me and that I am a sinful
  450. 30:41person and God can forgive me so why I cannot forgive other people and so it's with this it's
  451. 30:51really changed my life to help me to really
  452. 30:57transform my life that I God can forgive me so I also can forgive. I mean
  453. 31:07forgiving someone is hard. I and then God called us to forgive not just one in
  454. 31:13Matthew 1822 Jesus said to forgive 70 times seven right that's me he asked us to
  455. 31:20will give again and again up until today my life hasn't always been easy. But then my
  456. 31:26country felt me, my family felt me. I didn't have a choice where I was born into. I was
  457. 31:32born into a poor and broken family. But I can still choose Jesus because he has seen me,
  458. 31:40he has chosen me. And before I was born, I was in my mother's, well, he already know my
  459. 31:46name. And so, but when I, when it's hard to forgive, I ask, I look up to Christ and I ask him for the
  460. 31:58strength to do so for others. And that is how I can moving forward and I practice this forgiveness
  461. 32:06again and again.
  462. 32:08And it's so profound. I mean, you're sharing something that really is unfathomable for many
  463. 32:12people listening and watching right now because to be sold to a brothel at four years old.
  464. 32:17I mean, this is amazing, but packing these shoeboxes, praying over them, that's something
  465. 32:24my family and I, we do as we pack, we pray, even though we may not know the name of the
  466. 32:28child who's going to receive the gift, God knows and we pray for impacts just like you experienced.
  467. 32:34Where can people go if they want to get more information and they want to be a part of packing
  468. 32:38a shoebox and make it available for National Collection Week? How can they do so?
  469. 32:41So you can go to SamaritanPurse.org slash OCC for more information about packing shoe
  470. 32:51box and today is the beginning of the National Collection week until November 24th. So you still
  471. 32:59have time, grab a box and pack a shoe box and when you go to the website you can find your
  472. 33:06a near-restrop of location, you can drop off there.
  473. 33:09And then you never know that shoe buck gives
  474. 33:12is mean a lot to the children.
  475. 33:15It might seem small and simple,
  476. 33:18but it could mean the world to the child
  477. 33:20who never received a gift before.
  478. 33:22Amen.
  479. 33:23Yes.
  480. 33:24Amen folks, you definitely wanna be a part of this.
  481. 33:27This is one small way, even if you never are able
  482. 33:30to participate in a foreign mission trip,
  483. 33:32you can be a part of ministering to someone
  484. 33:34in the foreign country by just packing a simple shoebox.
  485. 33:37Simply go to samaritanspurse.org slash OCC.
  486. 33:42That is samaritanspurse.org slash OCC.
  487. 33:46Your small gift could very well be for a child,
  488. 33:49exactly what Ms. Lita Geed experienced,
  489. 33:52a tangible deposit to show the love of Christ.
  490. 33:55Thank you, Lita.
  491. 33:56Amen.
  492. 33:57Thank you so much.
  493. 34:00The radical left will stop at nothing
  494. 34:02to find a way to end life in the womb.
  495. 34:04They're now using the mail to ship abortion pills
  496. 34:07straight into homes across America,
  497. 34:09even in states where abortion is illegal.
  498. 34:12It's not healthcare and it must be stopped.

  543. 36:15Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton,
  544. 36:17the third here.
  545. 36:18I am delighted to have on the show with me
  546. 36:20a woman who usually probably helps you
  547. 36:23in getting to work in the mornings.
  548. 36:24And we help you get home from work usually in the evenings.
  549. 36:27For most of you, I'm speaking of none other than Jenna Ellis,
  550. 36:30host of Jenna Ellis in the morning right here
  551. 36:32American Family Radio also host of On Demand with Jenna Ellis, the podcast made available
  552. 36:38through the American Family Radio podcast network.
  553. 36:41And I have her on because she just published a new article available at AFN.net titled The
  554. 36:47Future of Conservatism.
  555. 36:49Now when question is not behind us.
  556. 36:52Jenna, thank you for joining me here this evening when you normally would be chilling.
  557. 36:56Thank you for joining me here on the Hamilton Corner.
  558. 36:57Well, thanks.
  559. 36:58It's fun to chill with you.
  560. 36:59I love joining in the evening and listening to you
  561. 37:02in the evenings as well.
  562. 37:03Oh, it is a pleasure to have you on.
  563. 37:05And I'm grateful that you were willing to even come on
  564. 37:07to talk about this, because I know I asked you to come on
  565. 37:09very late, but you were gracious in being willing to come on.
  566. 37:14Now, I also listened to the piece that you sent me,
  567. 37:17the audio from your show.
  568. 37:18When you pin this article, what are you attempting to convey
  569. 37:23that is absolutely necessary for, I would argue,
  570. 37:26the entire body politic to understand,
  571. 37:28but also Christians,
  572. 37:29constitutionalists and conservatives.
  573. 37:31Mm, that's a big question that right now,
  574. 37:35when we are at the midst of,
  575. 37:37in the midst of possibly the fourth turning,
  576. 37:39we're seeing that the Trump era is coming to a close.
  577. 37:43We're on the brink of more modern technology
  578. 37:46dealing with AI.
  579. 37:47I mean, you have so many questions
  580. 37:49that are what does the future hold?
  581. 37:51My attempt at this article was to answer the question
  582. 37:55of why conservatism, when defined and articulated correctly,
  583. 38:01is still relevant.
  584. 38:03And not only is it relevant, it is premised
  585. 38:06in a foundational eternal truth,
  586. 38:09because what we are really conserving
  587. 38:13is what God ordained.
  588. 38:15And we have so much focus on the failures of institutions.
  589. 38:20And we hear this all the time that young men,
  590. 38:23especially have lost trust in institutions,
  591. 38:27they're tired of the establishment GOP,
  592. 38:29all of those things true.
  593. 38:30And we can and should criticize and critique men
  594. 38:34and their man-made institutions.
  595. 38:36But what we should be preserving and conserving
  596. 38:40is what is true throughout all of human history,
  597. 38:44which is the person of God himself and his authority
  598. 38:47and his three ordained institutions,
  599. 38:50which are the church government,
  600. 38:51the family government and the civil government.
  601. 38:53So the future of conservatism, as I say in the piece,
  602. 38:57isn't behind us, it's above us.
  603. 39:00Oh, I love that so much.
  604. 39:02And even when talking to you about this, I said,
  605. 39:03when you included that in the piece,
  606. 39:05the future conservatism isn't behind us, it is above us.
  607. 39:08It's such a profound reality because there has been
  608. 39:12kind of komingud, if you will,
  609. 39:14with the intense and continued secularization
  610. 39:19of America, generally speaking,
  611. 39:21there's been an effort even to kind of secularize
  612. 39:24the so-called conservative movement.
  613. 39:26And so what we're witnessing really is a lot of people
  614. 39:29who have become exhausted by the failures of the efforts,
  615. 39:33but may not be aware of exactly why the efforts have failed.
  616. 39:37And what is it that we should be drawing toward
  617. 39:40in order to reestablish ourselves in a much more sound footing,
  618. 39:45instead of only being identifiable what you oppose,
  619. 39:48what are the ideals of principles and frankly,
  620. 39:51the truth that we should be ascribing toward
  621. 39:53that would further anchor our society.
  622. 39:55And then you referred to it just now,
  623. 39:57but how would you articulate that
  624. 39:59to kind of flesh it out a bit more for people
  625. 40:01that are kind of floundering in the midst of the current million?
  626. 40:04Yeah, and you know, I think that what you've articulated
  627. 40:07is also true for how so many young people feel about church
  628. 40:11as well, when they say, you know, look,
  629. 40:13I look at all these different denominations, these factions,
  630. 40:16I look at the mega churches that aren't doing XYZ.
  631. 40:19I look at the theological milieu,
  632. 40:21and so the response is to abandon church altogether.
  633. 40:25Well, what you're doing is actually abandoning
  634. 40:28an institution that God tells you to be a part of.
  635. 40:31The same thing with the family.
  636. 40:32We see the rise of divorce, we see relationships
  637. 40:35that don't work out.
  638. 40:36We see tragedy, you know, with people who lose their spouses,
  639. 40:41like Erica Kirk, lost Charlie Kirk.
  640. 40:43We see abuse.
  641. 40:45We see so many other ways that the family has broken down.
  642. 40:48And so then the future is well, redefined it all together, right?
  643. 40:51Well, no, that's not the response.
  644. 40:54It's that we need and what I articulate in the piece is a revitalized church that preaches
  645. 40:59truth without fear, strong families capable of withstanding cultural collapse.
  646. 41:04And then for our current political milieu, as you put it, legitimate civil government
  647. 41:10that protects life, liberty, and property, not that manages speech, faith, or parental
  648. 41:15rights, but the term legitimate means understanding that the source of civil government authority
  649. 41:24is God himself, and therefore we cannot do anything separate and apart from what he
  650. 41:29has delegated to the civil government and also the church and the family.
  651. 41:34If we truly want to conserve the institutions that God has ordained and we want to go into
  652. 41:41the next part of the American experiment that is ahead of us, we have to always look
  653. 41:48above instead of reducing the political question to either the future or what's in the past.
  654. 41:57Man, it is so profound.
  655. 42:00You write in the piece on this point, you say this quote, when conservatives act like,
  656. 42:05when conservatives act like saving the GOP brand or restoring the Reagan coalition or
  657. 42:09defending norms is the goal, they missed the point.
  658. 42:12Reagan didn't succeed because he happened to govern during the 1980s.
  659. 42:15He succeeded because his leadership aligned with timeless, transcendent principles that
  660. 42:20reflect the God-ordained institutions that actually matter.
  661. 42:26I mean, that is such a true statement
  662. 42:28because with the disintegration of the family, for example,
  663. 42:31and this is a point that I try to illustrate for people,
  664. 42:34it's one thing when you don't know what you don't know,
  665. 42:37it's one thing to be ignorant.
  666. 42:39It's another thing to be ignorant
  667. 42:41of that which you are ignorant of.
  668. 42:44So when you have people who say,
  669. 42:47well, we need to talk about family values,
  670. 42:49but the majority of people, younger people,
  671. 42:51Gen Z, millennials, and even younger,
  672. 42:54when you talk about family values,
  673. 42:55Well, the majority of those people, many of whom are adults now, they come from families
  674. 43:00where divorce was the norm, not the exception, the norm.
  675. 43:03So when you say family values to them, they hear something completely differently than
  676. 43:07what others in other generations might say.
  677. 43:10And to that point, you are this explaining that we need to begin to once again proclaim
  678. 43:16what the truth is concerning family, not merely reflecting on some nostalgic idea of
  679. 43:22days gone by, but affirmatively present the good, the true and the beautiful concerning
  680. 43:28what family is as God has ordained it.
  681. 43:30Did I explain that right?
  682. 43:31Yeah, absolutely.
  683. 43:32Amen.
  684. 43:33And this goes to this rising question of how the Reagan generation is quote unquote out
  685. 43:40of touch because the American dream is not possible right now for Gen Zers.
  686. 43:45And so they're saying, well, yeah, well, maybe you got to buy a house and you had a nuclear
  687. 43:50family you lived in the era that you're dreaming about of, you know, the 80s and 90s and so forth,
  688. 43:56but that's just not reality anymore. If that's the goal that we are articulating to the next
  689. 44:02generation that the American dream is about a moment in time or is about a quality of life,
  690. 44:09then we are totally missing the point because those are surficycles. Those are a reflection
  691. 44:14of the principles that transcend far longer than just the last greatest generation that's
  692. 44:21currently surviving can articulate the American dream.
  693. 44:24The true American dream actually has nothing to do with living specifically in America.
  694. 44:30It's that this country was the first country literally founded on a recognition that our
  695. 44:36rights are pre-political and every human being who has ever existed at any time, place, or
  696. 44:41culture has the same rights that God gave them, the same inherent dignity and value and
  697. 44:46worth, and the same mission to have a family, to be part of a church, to come into a saving
  698. 44:53knowledge of Jesus Christ, and have the freedom and liberty that is protected by their civil
  699. 44:58government to pursue the things of God.
  700. 45:00The American dream is inextricably intertwined with the truth of God.
  701. 45:06And if we are conserving the American experiment, then what we absolutely are doing is preserving
  702. 45:13and protecting the biblical worldview that is timeless.
  703. 45:17You say this plainly, now I'm not going to read the whole piece on the air because everybody
  704. 45:21needs to go to AFN.net and get this piece, read it, share it with your friends, Jeff, please
  705. 45:26put it in the show notes so that people can circulate this.
  706. 45:29I mean, you say it plainly, quote, the future of conservatism will not be secured by reliving
  707. 45:341776 or 1980. It will be secured by returning to the God-ordained institutions that existed
  708. 45:40long before America and will outlast every political cycle you go on to say in mentioning
  709. 45:46a revitalized church, preaching the truth without fear, strong families capable with standing
  710. 45:50cultural collapse, legitimate civil government that protects life, liberty and property,
  711. 45:55that these aren't old-fashioned ideas. They're the only framework strong enough to rebuild
  712. 46:01a free society. Jenna, you were in the kitchen with your chefs at all because you were cooking.
  713. 46:07You know, which is exactly where a woman should be, right? Because I'm baking my Christmas cookies
  714. 46:12tonight, in fact. So I love it. And we can say that because I love the God ordained traditional
  715. 46:19rules, right? Like women, I want to be a wife and a mother someday. And so if you're listening
  716. 46:23and you have a recommendation, Abe is accepting applications for vetting for my future husband.
  717. 46:28And so just putting that out there.
  718. 46:29But this is so true that it's like we have this conception
  719. 46:34as patriotic Americans that somehow this notion
  720. 46:39of pre-political rights and everything about America
  721. 46:42began in 1776 and these were new ideas.
  722. 46:46Well, now our founders understood these principles
  723. 46:49from the Bible.
  724. 46:50They understood them from generations passing
  725. 46:53in the history and tradition of the law,
  726. 46:55of understanding how civil governments rose and fell
  727. 46:58throughout history and what they had come from,
  728. 47:01from England that didn't protect religious liberty.
  729. 47:03I mean, all of these things,
  730. 47:05this wasn't some brand new idea that spawned the greatest
  731. 47:09nation that has ever existed on the face of the earth.
  732. 47:11It was a recognition of the truth of God
  733. 47:15and his view of what a moral and upright society
  734. 47:20that is truly fashioned in liberty actually means
  735. 47:24and what it provides for the family and the church,
  736. 47:28which is protection ultimately to raise our children
  737. 47:31in the fear and admonition of the Lord
  738. 47:33and to worship God freely and do exactly what we're doing
  739. 47:35right now, Abe, which is speaking together
  740. 47:38about truth and the things of God,
  741. 47:40which is exercising our first freedoms,
  742. 47:42freedom of speech, freedom of association,
  743. 47:44free exercise of religion,
  744. 47:45and also freedom of the press,
  745. 47:46because hey, we're in a radio network.
  746. 47:48Absolutely.
  747. 47:49I'll give you one more,
  748. 47:51because these quotes are just so profound.
  749. 47:53You wrote, quote, the left builds institutions intended to replace God's authority.
  750. 47:59Conservatives must stop trying to conserve those.
  751. 48:02Our mission is not to protect the status quo, but to protect the eternal order.
  752. 48:08End quote.
  753. 48:08That is, is spot on because as you, as I read that, I immediately thought the
  754. 48:14progressive movement, the progressive movement literally thought the moved to
  755. 48:18entrying institutions to rip our nation away from God's authority.
  756. 48:23and to supplant God's authority with man-made, and I would argue, an insufficient replacement
  757. 48:29for God's authority, I think you rightly diagnosed that in the piece.
  758. 48:33Yeah, and the right is just as guilty of holding up institutions as if they are the final authority,
  759. 48:40like saying, as long as we have a Christian president, then anything that he does, or a Republican
  760. 48:47president, even anything he does is without being subject to criticism. And no, the president
  761. 48:53actually is a man-made institution because the Bible does not require a president, the
  762. 48:58Bible does not require a constitutional form of government, and yet we preserve some of
  763. 49:04these institutions which I think are worth preserving like the US Constitution, but it
  764. 49:08has to be for the reason that they are the best expression of God's authority that ultimately
  765. 49:14those institutions were founded and established and man-made because they're the best vehicle
  766. 49:19to ultimately protect the eternal order and limited delegated authority that comes from
  767. 49:26God himself.
  768. 49:27And the moment that those institutions run afoul of God's eternal order, like what our
  769. 49:32US Supreme Court is doing right now by not overturning the horrific same sex marriage decision,
  770. 49:39that needs to be called out.
  771. 49:40We don't just say, well, because you are the US Supreme Court, you're infallible.
  772. 49:44It doesn't work like that.
  773. 49:46The only institutions that are worth preserving 100% are the institutions that God ordained.
  774. 49:54So well said.
  775. 49:55So well said.
  776. 49:56So as you are laid it out, the way forward is not harkening to nostalgia.
  777. 50:03The way forward is transcendent.
  778. 50:05It's eternal.
  779. 50:06It's above us.
  780. 50:07If we're seeking for and grappling for how do we find our footing in this, you know, the
  781. 50:13torrential winds of modern society in our nation, what we need to do is grasp upward to what
  782. 50:19what God has already established.
  783. 50:21You mentioned them already, revitalized church, strong families, legitimate civil government.
  784. 50:25How can we do exactly what you prescribe for us to do in your article?
  785. 50:30By keeping God at the center instead of transforming our national religion into a worship of politics,
  786. 50:39the moment that we do that and we worship a movement or we worship politics or so focused
  787. 50:45on that and we lose sight of the eternal person of truth, then we get off track in so
  788. 50:50many different directions. We have to keep the main thing, the main thing, which is God
  789. 50:54at the center. Well said, Jenna Ellis, ladies and gentlemen, if you are not tuning in in
