  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28and now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:34Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
  12. 0:36It is with a heavy heart that we come to you today
  13. 0:43with the Hamilton Corner program.
  14. 0:46Some of you may be aware.
  15. 0:47Some of you may just be learning this now.
  16. 0:54Husband, father, Christ follower, according to his public witness,
  17. 1:05a man whom I do not know personally, but I know several people
  18. 1:08people who do know him who have affirmed that he is in fact, or he was in fact a godly man,
  19. 1:16a devout Christian man, founder of Turning Point USA. Charlie Kirk was murdered today in
  20. 1:26Utah. He was kicking off his and we'll get into kind of the news of it in a moment, but
  21. 1:33he was kicking off what he called the American comeback tour, his college tours. And I'll explain
  22. 1:39a little bit more about what he what he does and what he did at Utah Valley University. According
  23. 1:45to reports, it is the most populated university in Utah. I didn't know that. I learned that today.
  24. 1:50But at about 1 20 p.m. our central time, he was shot in his neck one shot. And shortly thereafter,
  25. 2:04it was announced that he succumbed to those to that wound and has passed away at the young age of 31
  26. 2:11years old, is survived by his wife and his two children, and many around the country
  27. 2:22are grieving this brother in the faith, this brother in the faith. It is hard to
  28. 2:36grasp the kinds of words that could be appropriate, should be appropriate in this time,
  29. 2:42but I will do my best to do so. To the word of God we go, Romans chapter 12 is where I'm going to
  30. 2:49I'm gonna go, Romans 12 verses nine through 16.
  31. 2:53Romans 12 verses nine through 16.
  32. 2:56That's right, it's two children or two daughters.
  33. 3:01My wife has been deprived of her husband.
  34. 3:06Two precious little girls have now been deprived
  35. 3:08of having their father who was murdered,
  36. 3:14who was murdered today.
  37. 3:18Romans 12 verses nine through 16.
  38. 3:23This is what the word of God says.
  39. 3:26Let love be without hypocrisy, a bore, or hate, hate what is evil.
  40. 3:34Cling to what is good.
  41. 3:37Be devoted to one another, and brotherly love.
  42. 3:41Give preference to one another in honor.
  43. 3:44Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
  44. 3:51Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.
  45. 4:00contributing to the needs of the saints,
  46. 4:03practicing hospitality or endeavoring to show hospitality.
  47. 4:08Bless those who persecute you.
  48. 4:10Bless and do not curse.
  49. 4:13Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.
  50. 4:21Be of the same mind toward one another,
  51. 4:25to not be hardy in mind, but associate with the lowly.
  52. 4:30do not be wise in your own estimation.
  53. 4:39I'm pointing us to this passage of scripture
  54. 4:42for one primary reason.
  55. 4:50The entire epistle of Romans, Paul's Epistle to the Romans,
  56. 4:54is written to believers.
  57. 4:56These are instructions that are given to believers
  58. 5:02because Charlie Kirk, by his public witness
  59. 5:06and by those who know him best, who affirm it is evident
  60. 5:11that he was a passionate Christ follower.
  61. 5:15It is appropriate to say that Charlie Kirk's faith
  62. 5:19has now become sight.
  63. 5:24Charlie Kirk is more alive than any of us could ever hope to be.
  64. 5:28Well, not ever hope to be.
  65. 5:30He's more alive than we can attest to being right now.
  66. 5:34And Lord willing, we will enjoy a similar living prospectively.
  67. 5:42Well, at the exact same time, as I mentioned,
  68. 5:46his wife and those two baby girls,
  69. 5:49His wife also professed to be a believer.
  70. 5:55It is appropriate to be reminded that the scriptural admonition to rejoice with those who rejoice
  71. 6:06and to weep with those who weep, that is a family phenomenon.
  72. 6:14What am I talking about there?
  73. 6:17This is something that the scripture bears out.
  74. 6:20That is what we do within the eternal family of God.
  75. 6:26It's not to say there shouldn't be an appropriate expression of compassion with those who are
  76. 6:32unbelievers, but the scripture is replete with expressions that the believer is to do good
  77. 6:40to everyone, but especially to the household of faith.
  78. 6:48I'm going to talk about this during the show, but I'm going to ask you to do something.
  79. 6:52And I am asking this sincerely that you would pray for the Kirk family and for those two
  80. 7:01baby girls. It's not two girls. Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize for that. A son and a daughter.
  81. 7:14I apologize for that. I know I'm glad I get that wrong. I'm going to explain this more as
  82. 7:22we go to the program. We also need to pray for our country. You have a young man who started
  83. 7:37turning point USA in 2012, who as I understand it, he was in college, but became exasperated,
  84. 7:47that I'm in school, but we not learning anything.
  85. 7:50At a minimum, I'm not learning how to think,
  86. 7:55who truly modeled for the country,
  87. 8:01what used to be a value and a virtue
  88. 8:07that we celebrated in our country, which was,
  89. 8:09and which is civil discourse.
  90. 8:14Civil discourse.
  91. 8:20With everyone, especially with those with whom you disagree,
  92. 8:23within guys of our own Providence, Charlie Kirk's profile in the nation increased as we
  93. 8:35started out as a very small organization and a very small initiative grew over time to where
  94. 8:42he exhibited outsized influence most recently demonstrated in his campaigning efforts on behalf
  95. 8:48of President Trump, who was for the 45th and now 47th president of the United States.
  96. 8:58And we were told, we were always told that the response to poor speech, unreasoned speech,
  97. 9:13bad ideas, it's not censorship.
  98. 9:16It is more speech.
  99. 9:17It is by engaging you expose the flaw in your counterparts.
  100. 9:25Understanding, yet in the process of doing that very thing, Charlie Kirk was shot and
  101. 9:40killed today.
  102. 9:42reports indicating that the shot came from some 200 yards away. Obviously, I cannot confirm
  103. 9:48that at this very moment. That is one of the things that is being reported because this is
  104. 9:53so early in this process. More factual information will be disseminated subsequently. But today
  105. 10:15is a day where a lot of that is being turned on and said, this is rejoice with those who
  106. 10:33rejoice, weep with those who weep. When you have a circumstance like this, and I'm starting
  107. 10:48here in this way intentionally, a lot of the weeping and the mourning are not necessarily
  108. 10:57for Charlie Kirk, as I said, his faith has become sight. But the weeping and the mourning
  109. 11:05is appropriate for his family, for his loved ones, loved ones, his church family, and plainly
  110. 11:22for our nation. Though we were we have been told repeatedly that civil discourse is the
  111. 11:31way forward. I have on my on my show here encouraged a reasoning with people who disagree
  112. 11:38with you. We're also taught that one of the clear evidences of when someone recognizes that
  113. 11:49they are not fairing very well in civil discourse is that they may begin to talk louder, which
  114. 11:57I've often said, just because you're loud doesn't make you right.
  115. 12:04This what I think can be appropriately described as an assassination is the violent iteration
  116. 12:19of shouting louder when you're losing the debate.
  117. 12:24There were people who may very well have disagreed with Charlie Kirk, did not like what he stood
  118. 12:31for, did not like what he represented publicly, but instead of stepping to the microphone to
  119. 12:35express that disagreement. You have a would be assassin would rather allow a bullet to do
  120. 12:53the communicating. This is a sad day, a sad day, but I want to be clear about it. The sadness
  121. 13:06is not for Charlie Kirk personally because the testimony of scripture is clear.
  122. 13:14the sadness for those who mourn his passing and the sadness is for our country.
  123. 13:26I truly pray that this will turn.
  124. 13:35We have the account in scripture.
  125. 13:37We have Joseph who has the revelation from God as to what his future will entail.
  126. 13:42He shares his dreams with his family,
  127. 13:47But he has brothers who just would not abide
  128. 13:52Joseph's dream coming to fruition. So they do what they thought they would could do to thwart
  129. 13:58Division that God had given Joseph in the dream
  130. 14:03capture him sell him into slavery
  131. 14:06Joseph follows slavery
  132. 14:09by
  133. 14:11being a slave
  134. 14:12Falsy accused
  135. 14:13Incarcerated yet nevertheless God purposes off of field and into Joseph's life
  136. 14:18life.
  137. 14:20And the events come full circle to a Joseph serves as a lifeline for not only his relatives,
  138. 14:24but the entire Hebrew people in his lineage.
  139. 14:28And he makes the statement, with you intended for evil, God has turned for good.
  140. 14:38I pray that this will be a moment catalyzes a massive return to our most abiding and enduring
  141. 14:52need as a nation which is repentance.
  142. 15:01A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  143. 15:04Looking in the book of Romans 12, beginning at verse 1,
  144. 15:09I beseech you there for brethren by the mercies of God
  145. 15:12that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
  146. 15:14holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service.
  147. 15:19And do not be conformed to this world,
  148. 15:21but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
  149. 15:25which you may prove what is that good and acceptable
  150. 15:27and perfect will of God.
  151. 15:30For I say through the grace given to me,
  152. 15:32to everyone who is among you,
  153. 15:33not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think,
  154. 15:36but to think soberly as God has dealt to each one,
  155. 15:38a measure of faith, and individually,
  156. 15:41members of one another.
  157. 15:44Father, we thank you once again for the wisdom,
  158. 15:46the powerful grace, the powerful understanding,
  159. 15:48and insight that is ours,
  160. 15:50as we spend time with you one on one in your word,
  161. 15:53each and every day.
  162. 15:54We thank you, and we praise you in Jesus' name.
  163. 15:57We do pray.
  164. 15:58Amen.
  165. 16:00This is Abraham Hamilton III with AFR and we are sending Bibles.
  166. 16:04Here's Michael with Bible League International.
  167. 16:06Say what would you do if you were a new Christian and you didn't have a Bible?
  168. 16:09Probably say well I'd hop in my car, I'd go to a Christian bookstore or have one ship
  169. 16:13to me.
  170. 16:14What if those weren't options?
  171. 16:15You'd say well I'm new to the faith.
  172. 16:16I mean I need to know what it means to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.
  173. 16:20You know you would pray that someone, anyone would bring you a Bible and that's exactly
  174. 16:24the way it is for literally millions of Christians around the world are part of our
  175. 16:28spiritual family. They're new to the faith. They want to know what it means to grow in the grace and
  176. 16:32knowledge of Jesus. But God has them plan a word. It's very difficult to access a Bible. And that's
  177. 16:37why AFR and Bible Eager teamed up this month to bless 4,000 waiting believers all over the world
  178. 16:42at $5 of Bible. Would you consider a dollar a day? A $30 a month pledge will take care of 72
  179. 16:49waiting Christians over the next year. Would you pray about that and get involved today?
  180. 16:52You can give by calling 800 yes word, 800 yes word, or visit sinbiblesnow.org.
  181. 16:59That's sinbiblesnow.org.
  182. 17:06Shining light into the darkness, this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  183. 17:12Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the 30th. You're just tuning in.
  184. 17:18We've started the show by discussing and lamenting the fact that 31-year-old Charlie Kirk,
  185. 17:28husband, father of two children, two children, conservative political activist, founder of
  186. 17:34Turning Point USA, but most importantly, a Christ follower was murdered today. Really an
  187. 17:43assassination. If you look at, it seems to be, I'll say it that way. At about 1.20 p.m. Central
  188. 17:50Times when he was shot. He was shot on the campus of Utah Valley University, where he was
  189. 17:59is endeavoring to kick off his America comeback tour.
  190. 18:05If you are unfamiliar with Charlie Kirk,
  191. 18:08he started his organization, Turnipoint USA,
  192. 18:11after deciding while in college that this is not for me,
  193. 18:16that this place is not helping people learn how to think.
  194. 18:19It is training people to be mind numbed robots
  195. 18:22and I want no part of it.
  196. 18:24He then launched the founding of his Turnipoint USA
  197. 18:29organization in 2012.
  198. 18:31And one of the things he would do
  199. 18:34is to travel to college campuses around our country
  200. 18:38and have conversations with college students
  201. 18:42about civic matters, political matters, history,
  202. 18:47and religion.
  203. 18:48You name it, they would have conversations about it.
  204. 18:50He would give the person in the audience a microphone.
  205. 18:56They would dialogue about an issue
  206. 19:00And oftentimes, almost always, Charlie Kirk
  207. 19:05would be more armed with facts than the people
  208. 19:08he was conversing with.
  209. 19:10And in doing so, he ended up really changing hearts
  210. 19:14and minds all around our country.
  211. 19:17His station and our country grew to the point
  212. 19:20to where he was a significant component
  213. 19:22of President Trump's election in this most recent election.
  214. 19:28And he was in the process of doing that very thing today
  215. 19:32at Utah Valley University, according to reports
  216. 19:37and hearing from the student there at Utah Valley University.
  217. 19:42Charlie Kirk engaged in a conversation with one student first,
  218. 19:46the first student to talk to him had a question
  219. 19:50or really was trying to persuade Charlie Kirk
  220. 19:52to embrace Mormonism, to which according to their all reports,
  221. 19:56Charlie Kirk respectfully declined and simply said,
  222. 19:59listen, I am a Protestant Christian.
  223. 20:01I believe the evidence of firms,
  224. 20:06Protestant Christianity, however, I have love and affinity for everyone.
  225. 20:11You know, and I love people who are Mormons.
  226. 20:14I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, but I am not here to debate or persuade
  227. 20:20you concerning your religion.
  228. 20:22I am all about exulting Jesus Christ, but I respect you.
  229. 20:26And obviously I'm paraphrasing.
  230. 20:28And his respectful conclusion of the conversation led to the crowd to applaud fervently.
  231. 20:38Then there was a second question.
  232. 20:41And when the second question began, according to reports of people who were physically there
  233. 20:50that just learned NPR is trying to say something else, listen, NPR, they lied so much, please.
  234. 20:58The second question, the second questioner asked about transgenderism.
  235. 21:06And according to the reports, as Charlie Kirk was beginning his answer, that is when
  236. 21:13the one shot rang out that struck him in the neck.
  237. 21:18I'm going to show you video of this, but I want to tell you plainly.
  238. 21:22There's lots of, there are lots of videos that are far closer than what I'm going to
  239. 21:28show you because I know there are children who watch this show. I'm not going to show that close video that shows the the profuse blood spilling from Charlie
  240. 21:39Kerchneck. I'm not going to show that video. So I want you to be warned about that. But I am going to show you a video that kind of gives you a perspective as to what transpired earlier today is audio and video, but it's not much dialogue. So I apologize for those who are merely listening.
  241. 21:57But I think you also get an interesting understanding of this event solely by listening
  242. 22:07Listen to and watch this is only about seven seconds long. Let's do a watch clip number one clip number one go
  243. 22:20So you can hear as you'd imagine at an event on a college campus
  244. 22:27There are lots of college students with cell phones and cell phone videos that are taken you heard
  245. 22:33one of the attendees to say, run, you know, it's time to run.
  246. 22:43I can't stop thinking about his wife and his children. I can't stop thinking about
  247. 22:56on the scene. There was and I'm going to cut to some breaking news here right now.
  248. 23:01That's literally breaking as we're on the air on the scene.
  249. 23:04There was a man detained on the campus, but it was quickly determined that the
  250. 23:11immediate person detained was not the shooter. As we are on the air right now, the FBI is announcing
  251. 23:21that they have arrested the man who they suspect is the shooter. As this is breaking right now,
  252. 23:30I don't have the capacity to do any additional research, but this is being reported right now.
  253. 23:34There is a news conference where FBI agents are in orum Utah describing and announcing that they have
  254. 23:43detained who they suspect to be the shooter. The FBI descended upon Utah almost immediately
  255. 23:54after news broke or after information broke of the shooting. It's been announced by FBI
  256. 24:02director, Cass Patel, that the suspect suspected shooter is in fact in custody. I can't stop
  257. 24:12thinking about his wife and his children. I can't stop thinking about it. We understand
  258. 24:24from a legal standpoint when violence is perpetuated, specifically, in furtherance of or response to
  259. 24:34political discourse, it is described as terrorism. This appears to be a domestic exercise of terrorism.
  260. 24:53I've explained to you many times before, many times before, and Moses Mordecai,
  261. 25:00Mark's Levy is not the inventor of
  262. 25:03sociallistic thought. I've shared
  263. 25:05that Mark's actually was a disciple of
  264. 25:08George Waugh Wilhelm Frederick
  265. 25:10Heigle. Heigle. Sorry, Heigle.
  266. 25:13Frederick Heigle from whom the
  267. 25:17Hegelian dialectic comes from. Mark's
  268. 25:19contribution to the sociallistic
  269. 25:21framework of thought was the
  270. 25:24utilization of violence as a
  271. 25:25mechanism to accomplish one's
  272. 25:27political objectives. This is
  273. 25:31This is something we're seeing all too often.
  274. 25:36This is not an exhaustive list, but these are just some of the most prominent violent displays.
  275. 25:42Many of you may recall when family research campaigns offices were invaded by a man who
  276. 25:47brought Chick-fil-A sandwiches because he wanted to shoot everybody in Family Research Council's
  277. 25:53offices.
  278. 25:56Struck the security guard who happened to be on duty, thankfully, he was able to subdue
  279. 26:00the shooter and his wounds were not fatal.
  280. 26:04Remember the shooter who attempted to kill Steve Scalise in Washington DC?
  281. 26:14Last July, 2024, President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania.
  282. 26:27Today, Charlie Kurt.
  283. 26:36Guys, there is a palpable display of evil in our country that is transpiring with repetition
  284. 27:00just this week in North Carolina.
  285. 27:07The brutal murder of arenas is a root scout, brutal murder over the Labor Day weekend, earned
  286. 27:21the shootings all over our country.
  287. 27:23Guys, we are not going to press forward as a society unless we come face to face with
  288. 27:39the objective reality of evil.
  289. 27:44This is very early in the investigation process in Charlie Kirk's murder.
  290. 27:55The governor of Utah is speaking right now as I'm talking to you on television.
  291. 28:00And he said, Governor Spencer Cox, that this is a political assassination, a political assassination.
  292. 28:18When I say there is palpable evidence of evil, I don't want anybody to be misconstrued what
  293. 28:28I'm saying.
  294. 28:30This evil is being spurred by Satan himself.
  295. 28:37I know some people get uncomfortable when we talk about this, but much of the recognition
  296. 28:42has come into understand that we have moved beyond the donkeys and elephants that we're
  297. 28:48talking about good versus evil.
  298. 28:50You've heard me say repeatedly, but a part of the rules, a part of the rub here is you
  299. 28:55You have people who are misunderstanding what exactly evil is.
  300. 29:03And we can ignore reality if we want, but demonic agitation is real.
  301. 29:13It's real.
  302. 29:16The assassins bullet, as Utah's governor described this as a political assassination,
  303. 29:21the assassins bullet to Charlie Kirk's neck is the physical demonstration of your inability
  304. 29:27to overcome what his arguments may be,
  305. 29:30then you want to conclude the conversation
  306. 29:32by shouting him down.
  307. 29:35Or dare I say, shutting him up, shutting him up.
  308. 29:49Guys, we cannot progress forward.
  309. 29:54We cannot, if we try to address the evidence
  310. 30:00of the grotesque spiritual tasm that is in our country,
  311. 30:05solely by political and rhetorical means.
  312. 30:09Let's get another tariff.
  313. 30:10Let's lower some taxes.
  314. 30:12Let's do some funding for this initiative.
  315. 30:13Let's pass another bill and we ignore the fact that men are desperately wicked.
  316. 30:21We're going to miss the whole boat.
  317. 30:24We're going to miss the whole boat.
  318. 30:32I pray as I mentioned earlier, as it was as Joseph declared this, that what
  319. 30:41the wicked enemy intended for evil that God turns us for is good.
  320. 30:47I'm reminded of September 11th.
  321. 30:50I was in college at the time and I remembered the response to the other carnage of September
  322. 31:0111th.
  323. 31:06It seemed like the whole nation recognized, oh, we need God.
  324. 31:15September 12th, you saw full churches, church bells ringing all over our country.
  325. 31:23And I also saw American flags all over our country, but then what happened?
  326. 31:32progressed, we had some, I'll just say it, imprudent servant leaders, and we drifted,
  327. 31:50drifted so far. So we went away from calling on God to embracing a violation of his institution,
  328. 32:01saying, would God declare it to be abominable, should be given legal protection, and is not lost
  329. 32:11on me, that the assassin's bullet was discharged at the very moment, that Charlie Kirk is about
  330. 32:20to tell the truth about transgenderism. That's not lost on me. But the demonic
  331. 32:29screed was shut up. We don't want to hear this. You had despicable persons. I didn't
  332. 32:42even realize Bobby told me this. Like Matthew Dowd on MSNBC. He basically suggests Charlie
  333. 32:50Kurt is his own fault. He had this coming listen to you and watch clip number three go.
  334. 32:56But following up with what was just said, he's been one of the most divisive, especially
  335. 33:01device of younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate
  336. 33:07speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to hateful thoughts, lead
  337. 33:14to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.
  338. 33:26To be fair, he said this before, Charlie Kirk was confirmed dead, but he also said it after
  339. 33:32he learned he had been shot. The only way to describe the willingness to make those kind
  340. 33:39in the comments after man was shot in the neck.
  341. 33:46It's the lovelessness, the waxing cold of hearts
  342. 33:50that the scripture predict.
  343. 34:01At Wesley Biblical Seminary, we believe God is raising up
  344. 34:04a movement across our nation and around the world
  345. 34:06who hold fast to the inerrancy of scripture
  346. 34:09and the hope of holiness.
  347. 34:10We do this through bachelor's, masters,
  348. 34:12and doctoral degrees, certificate programs,
  349. 34:15and even training for laypeople.
  350. 34:17So whatever your next step is in being equipped
  351. 34:19for ministry, we're here for you.
  352. 34:21And if you believe these are the kind of pastors we need leading churches in the future,
  353. 34:25we invite you to think about giving to Wesley Biblical Seminary.

  366. 35:03This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Royal View.
  367. 35:07Recently at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, a young man who was so confused
  368. 35:11that he falsely believed he was a woman, took multiple firearms to the school, and sadly
  369. 35:16killed two children and injured 17 others before killing himself.
  370. 35:21While the media blamed guns, the reality is that this young man's confusion about his gender,
  371. 35:27use of marijuana, and focus on satanic darkness or the contributing factors.
  372. 35:32The answer is not affirmation, but proclamation of God's truth in the gospel.
  373. 35:37Jesus said, If you continue in my word, then you are truly disciples of mine, and you will
  374. 35:42know the truth and the truth will make you free.

  379. 36:02After taking the morning after pill, this mom immediately felt sick and nauseous as she
  380. 36:07tried to end her pregnancy.
  381. 36:09While searching for medical care, she found a pre-born network clinic where she hoped to
  382. 36:14to rule out that she was pregnant.
  383. 36:16I had an ultrasound done right then and there.
  384. 36:18After hearing the baby's heartbeat,
  385. 36:19I instantly thank God and said,
  386. 36:21Mayor will be done.
  387. 36:22Seven months pregnant now,
  388. 36:24I thank God every day for my little miracle.

  403. 37:09are available at AFR.net.
  404. 37:11Back to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  405. 37:16Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner.
  406. 37:17Abraham Hamilton III here.
  407. 37:19Guys, you have to understand that this consistent
  408. 37:22penchant to describe truth-telling as hate speech
  409. 37:24is just a rhetorical device that shuts you up.
  410. 37:27That's what it is.
  411. 37:28And this is made an image of God,
  412. 37:31so I'm not gonna call him any names.
  413. 37:35But this wicked plebeian who's using his mouthpiece
  414. 37:37to be a spout of wicked verbiage,
  415. 37:45to describe an expression of an opinion
  416. 37:47that you disagree with as hateful,
  417. 37:50is nothing more than an effort to silence as well.
  418. 38:04I understand, I understand more than many people
  419. 38:13might even recognize.
  420. 38:16As I mentioned some of the things that transpired
  421. 38:24around the country showing the increase in violence.
  422. 38:29I remember the day when AFA's head of security
  423. 38:32walked in my office and came in with measuring tape
  424. 38:35and I said, what is that for?
  425. 38:36And say, oh yeah, everybody need to measure you
  426. 38:38for a bulletproof vest.
  427. 38:41I was like, what?
  428. 38:43Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  429. 38:46I can see the looks on the faces of people
  430. 38:48as I travel around the country to speak
  431. 38:50and they see who we're traveling with
  432. 38:52and they, hey, who's this guy?
  433. 38:54And they're saying, oh, you have to travel with security.
  434. 39:00I remember having to go home and tell my wife
  435. 39:04we have different travel protocols we have to implement now.
  436. 39:09So what I'm about to say now,
  437. 39:10I don't want anybody to think that I'm unaware
  438. 39:11of what is at stake.
  439. 39:17But I want to encourage you as you're listening to me
  440. 39:19and I'm saying this quite soberly
  441. 39:22and honestly counting the cost myself.
  442. 39:27Resist that temptation to dumb yourself down.
  443. 39:33Resist that temptation not to speak the truth
  444. 39:41because what Satan would love more than anything else
  445. 39:43is for this to be an occasion that results in people
  446. 39:45who have the truth and they now refuse to proclaim it
  447. 39:49because of fear.
  448. 39:52This is one of the main reasons why the Apostle Paul wrote
  449. 39:56to Timothy from his Roman prison,
  450. 39:59that God has not given you Timothy a spirit of fear,
  451. 40:03but He's given you a spirit of power,
  452. 40:07and of love and a sound mind.
  453. 40:08And I want you to notice that Paul doesn't say,
  454. 40:10love and a sound mind first.
  455. 40:12The first thing he says is,
  456. 40:13but God has given you power.
  457. 40:17He's given you love, and He's given you a sound mind.
  458. 40:23I keep reflecting on Charlie Kirk's wife and his children,
  459. 40:30because I think about my own wife and children.
  460. 40:38I think about how we pray when I have to travel
  461. 40:40and speak somewhere, how we pray when we're traveling together and how we, I'm just going
  462. 40:51to keep it all a whole buck with you guys, we firmly believe in the Second Amendment, firmly.
  463. 40:58And not just believe it as an intellectual exercise, but as a practically applied
  464. 41:05right that is God given. Don't allow the enemy to intimidate you into taking yourself out of the
  465. 41:15the game. And I do not say that casually or callously, callously. I say it as one who
  466. 41:31is counting the cost myself. If I would sit here and say the thought didn't cost
  467. 41:38a mind and say, hey, you know, hey, maybe you should, you got some speaking events, maybe
  468. 41:41you should consider. And then the Lord nudged me by his spirit. The very same way I'm talking
  469. 41:51to you, but I haven't given you a spirit of fear. And if God hasn't given us a spirit of
  470. 41:55fear, then why will we embrace it? Of course, we should be sober minded. We should be vigilant.
  471. 42:02should be thorough and thoughtful, above all, prayerful, but one of the features that is
  472. 42:13a byproduct of being indwell by the Spirit of God is boldness, one of the most important
  473. 42:22iterations of boldness.
  474. 42:24And I don't think this is a coincidence because God in his divine providence is never surprised
  475. 42:33the card of God.
  476. 42:36There ain't no such thing as sneaking up on God with a surprise.
  477. 42:43Just Monday, just Monday at the Museum of the Bible, President Trump stood with HUD Secretary
  478. 42:52Scott Turner and he later addressed the attendees at the Museum of the Bible at a meeting of the
  479. 42:59Religious Liberty, Religious Liberty Commission in which HUD Secretary announced the Trump
  480. 43:09administration's America Praise initiative, in which the president of the United States
  481. 43:18and his cabinet is inviting believers all over the country to gather with at least 10
  482. 43:26people once a week from now on through July 4th, 2026, which would be the 250th anniversary
  483. 43:38of our declaration of independence,
  484. 43:47inviting our nation, more specifically
  485. 43:49to believers in our nation,
  486. 43:53to commit ourselves once again,
  487. 43:55you can go to the WhiteHouse.gov
  488. 43:58slash America 250 slash America dash praise
  489. 44:03and see it all for yourself.
  490. 44:05We have the president calling on our nation to pray.
  491. 44:07Now, of course I understand,
  492. 44:08you know, you have all kinds of people
  493. 44:10and the nation, all that kind of stuff,
  494. 44:13but I am talking to this audience.
  495. 44:21Is there no more significant recognition
  496. 44:29than to recognize that we need God?
  497. 44:32Listen to HUD Secretary Scott Turner
  498. 44:35as he announces the America Praise Initiative.
  499. 44:37Clip number five, listen to unwatch it.
  500. 44:39Clip number five, clip number five, go.
  501. 44:43Well, good morning.
  502. 44:45So grateful to be here.
  503. 44:46What an honor it is to stand with this commission
  504. 44:51and with our president.
  505. 44:53You know, we're in the nation's capital.
  506. 44:55We're at the Museum of the Bible.
  507. 44:58We're together and we're talking about faith.
  508. 45:01Did anybody else pick up on that?
  509. 45:03I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
  510. 45:06We're right here.
  511. 45:06So thank you, Mr. President.
  512. 45:08It's an honor to serve under your leadership, sir,
  513. 45:11and to be a part of this tremendous cabinet.
  514. 45:14How many know we have a godly, faithful cabinet?
  515. 45:17And a cabinet that prioritizes prayer.
  516. 45:24On July 3, Mr. President of this year,
  517. 45:26you kicked off the year-long celebration of America's 250th birthday in Iowa, you invited
  518. 45:33America's faith communities to come together to pray for our country.
  519. 45:39Well, Mr. President, America's faith communities are responding with overwhelming enthusiasm,
  520. 45:44as you can see here today.
  521. 45:46Today more than 70 major faith organizations and churches have joined together to participate
  522. 45:53and what we're calling America Praise.
  523. 45:57In fact, many of you are here today,
  524. 45:59including leaders from pray.com,
  525. 46:02hallowed the National Religious Broadcasters,
  526. 46:04the Faith and Freedom Coalition,
  527. 46:06Intercessors for America,
  528. 46:08and many, many others are here with us.
  529. 46:10And I wanna take a moment,
  530. 46:11if you are here today and you have joined this
  531. 46:14faith movement, America plays,
  532. 46:16please stand if you're here just wanna please,
  533. 46:18if you're here stand and let us see.
  534. 46:20Thank you.
  535. 46:27Well, together we have our simple proposition.
  536. 46:33Think about this.
  537. 46:35What if one million people pray for our country
  538. 46:39every single week between now and next July 4th?
  539. 46:45More specifically, what if believers
  540. 46:48all across this great nation got together
  541. 46:51with 10 people, friends, family members,
  542. 46:54colleagues, work associates,
  543. 46:5710 people each week to pray for our country and for our fellow citizens.
  544. 47:03Let that sink in.
  545. 47:04One million people, every single week, 10 people getting together to pray for our country and
  546. 47:12for our citizens.
  547. 47:13Guys, this should be the order of the day.
  548. 47:20This should be the order of the day.
  549. 47:22I can tell you the number of times I've come to this microphone on a National Day of Prayer,
  550. 47:28prayer, prayer, proclamations. I did it again this year. And I want to be clear to everyone
  551. 47:35listening and watching. Prayer is not synonymous with inaction. I want to say that again. Prayer
  552. 47:44is not synonymous with inaction. Prayer is not the only action, but it is a necessary
  553. 48:00action. We have lots of people who have pursued action, not enough who have pursued prayer preceded,
  554. 48:14prayer guided action. We did not get to where we are as a nation overnight. We have walked step
  555. 48:37by step one foot in front of the other in a direction that has consistently for the most
  556. 48:45part until relatively recently in an effort to turn away from God.
  557. 48:56I've presented how do you get from a nation of Israel established by the laws of God tablets
  558. 49:08of stone written by the finger of God as the scripture says to monarchs being constructed
  559. 49:16about the Mosaic law to hand write and retain their own copies of God's law to Josiah, who
  560. 49:27surprised to learn that there is a book of the law.
  561. 49:33We are in a similar station in our lives.
  562. 49:35I often reflect on what happened generationally, what are the practical realities on the ground
  563. 49:42that transpired in biblical Israel that led to this happening.
  564. 49:48Guys we're in a similar place right now.
  565. 49:52And we have a Declaration of Independence that includes the phrasing that we have endowed
  566. 50:00by our Creator with inalienable rights.
  567. 50:03Do you think they just stumbled upon that verb?
  568. 50:09It's like, let's just wax poetically.
  569. 50:13No, man.
  570. 50:16That phrase was included in a list of articulated grievances against King George in England.
  571. 50:25Benjamin Franklin is recorded having said at a moment when the constitutional conviction
  572. 50:31convention was at a quagmire that couldn't get anything accomplished.
  573. 50:37He's recorded as having said, if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without the knowledge
  574. 50:45of divine providence, how then can an empire rise?
  575. 50:53His interjection led to a three-day prayer meeting, the results of which were our Constitution.
  576. 51:05Guys, the time is up for being sidelined spectators.
  577. 51:11You know, whatever metaphor you want to use, Monday morning,
  578. 51:13morning, Monday morning quarterbacks, having a position that,
  579. 51:17well, somebody else will get to it at some point.
  580. 51:23How will we respond to what God is calling us to in this moment?
  581. 51:32Are you willing to be salt and light in the land where God has planted you?
  582. 51:35Am I willing to be salt and light in the land where God has planted me?
  583. 51:41In the wake of this tragedy, my cry and my heart has been.
  584. 51:52But what the enemy has intended for evil,
  585. 51:58pray that you would turn it for your good.
  586. 52:04The order of the day is prayer and action.
  587. 52:11But action, prayerlessly,
  588. 52:15is not gonna get us where we need to be.
  589. 52:21The order of the day is prayer and action.
  590. 52:27It is by prayer who will be guided to effective.
