  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:29and now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:31Good evening everyone. Welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  12. 0:37Here on American Family Radio, I'm your host Abraham Hamilton III.
  13. 0:41I am delighted to be with you live and direct from the beautiful campus of Olivette Nazarene
  14. 0:47University, where we are at the ICHE 2025 Home School Conference that is Illinois Christian
  15. 0:56home educators. They're 2025 conference. They invited us to join them this year and we are
  16. 1:02elated to do so. So far I have been a part of one workshop. I have a keynote address.
  17. 1:10Tomorrow morning, 9am and another workshop. Tomorrow as well and I'm just excited to be on the program.
  18. 1:16with you here again today you will be as I was last night you will be delighted
  19. 1:25to hear the guests I have scheduled today here at the conference it's just it's
  20. 1:32just an amazing and amazing and amazing event to be a part of and I'm delighted
  21. 1:38to be here at this very moment many of you if not most of you are making your
  22. 1:43transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time jobs
  23. 1:48where you cultivate an outcome.
  24. 1:50And as you do so, I want to remind you to make your change, make that transition with intentionality,
  25. 1:56recognizing the primacy that God places on the family.
  26. 2:02No matter what's transpiring and I know right now, there's a there's quite a bit of, shall
  27. 2:06I say jousting going on between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk and that is while that is
  28. 2:17entertaining to a degree, what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on
  29. 2:24in the White House. Very simply, my point in saying that not is to denigrate or to detract from
  30. 2:30the significance of the events that transpired in the White House, but simply to accurately convey
  31. 2:36to you the significance of what happens in your home. We will never be able to out
  32. 2:41politic, outvote, even outchurch the deficiencies that abound in the home and
  33. 2:47simply put God established the family as the primary unit for multi-generational
  34. 2:53fidelity to him. God has established the family as the primary unit to expand
  35. 3:00his kingdom. It's not exclusive mechanism for doing so but it is in fact a primary
  36. 3:05mechanism, which is why you have the consistent admonitions in
  37. 3:09scripture as to what should transpire, which is why you have
  38. 3:12the great commission's admonition, but it starts right in our
  39. 3:17home. So as you are, as you are making your transition, I want
  40. 3:24to encourage you to do so with intentionality at this very
  41. 3:29moment. Many of you, if not most of you are making that
  42. 3:34transition, I'm encouraging you to do so recognizing what God has done in the family.
  43. 3:40We have all kinds of contexts, all kinds of things that are transpiring, but we must be
  44. 3:45must be must be must recognize what God requires of us in our families.
  45. 3:50And we've been talking a lot about what our grandparents are called to do.
  46. 3:54We talk a lot about the other portions and other investments and involvement in family.
  47. 3:58We have to recognize this and we all should be able to see and understand what it is that
  48. 4:06God is doing.
  49. 4:07I'm doing this because I'm here and ringing.
  50. 4:09I'm trying to address it.
  51. 4:12But nevertheless, it's no problem.
  52. 4:15We'll begin the day's program the way we begin every show and that is by turning to the Word
  53. 4:21of God.
  54. 4:22We're going to begin today in Hebrews chapter 2.
  55. 4:23Hebrews chapter 2 verses 14 and 15.
  56. 4:27I want to present something to you from that past from from from those verses Hebrew chapter
  57. 4:32two verses 14 and 15.
  58. 4:37It may be another booth.
  59. 4:39I don't know if another booth.
  60. 4:41I do.
  61. 4:42Hebrew chapter two verses 14 and 15.
  62. 4:43The sound you hear guys we are in the exhibit hall at the ICHE convention.
  63. 4:48We're at the exhibit hall.
  64. 4:49And so what you hear in the background if you hear that is all of the hustle and bustle
  65. 4:53that's going on I believe it's 1500 to 2000 people at this event.
  66. 4:59and so there's lots of things going on.
  67. 5:00People are displaying curriculum,
  68. 5:03selling curriculum, aiding families.
  69. 5:05One of the things I love about the exhibit hall
  70. 5:08is many of these, much of the curricula here
  71. 5:10has been created by homeschool families themselves.
  72. 5:14Many homeschool moms have been working
  73. 5:16with their own children and realize,
  74. 5:17hey, maybe I should package this
  75. 5:19and make it available for other people to use it.
  76. 5:22And they have it right here.
  77. 5:25Like I'm right across from all of these different families
  78. 5:28what they've done and it's amazing to see.
  79. 5:31Man, God has truly provided us all the resources that we need to follow Him.
  80. 5:35But as I was mentioning, Hebrews chapter 2, verses 14 through 15,
  81. 5:39I want to present something to you from that passage, from these verses,
  82. 5:44that really, really resonated with me.
  83. 5:46And I pray that it resonates with you as well.
  84. 5:48By way of reminder, they see pistol to the Hebrews as promulgated to convey to an
  85. 5:55and to break audience the necessity and the recognition
  86. 5:59that they are not waiting any longer for Messiah,
  87. 6:01that Messiah has come.
  88. 6:03Yeshua is in fact Messiah, Yeshua Hamashiyok,
  89. 6:08and that is what is meant to be conveyed,
  90. 6:09that Jesus is in fact the Messiah
  91. 6:11that the Jewish people had been waiting for,
  92. 6:14the prophet like Moses has articulated
  93. 6:15in that Exodus chapter, sorry,
  94. 6:17do it around in chapter 18,
  95. 6:18but Hebrews chapter two, verses 14 through 15,
  96. 6:22And this is what the Word of God says, therefore says to children share in flesh and blood,
  97. 6:30he himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death he might destroy him, or
  98. 6:37some translation there said he might render powerless him who had the power of death, that
  99. 6:41is the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all
  100. 6:50their lives. The thing I wanted to point out that the scripture
  101. 6:54bears us out, this is one portion of scripture that erects us in this
  102. 6:57in this manner, but there are other portions that affirm this reality
  103. 7:01and that is that the fear of death produces life long slavery. That's what
  104. 7:08verse 14 says, am I free those who through the fear of death were subject
  105. 7:12to slavery all their lives? Now all their lives is life long slavery.
  106. 7:21Jesus came to destroy that bondage.
  107. 7:26The sinless life, the incarnation, the death barrier,
  108. 7:29resurrection of Christ Jesus destroyed that lifelong bondage
  109. 7:34to slavery.
  110. 7:37One of the major impediments, especially in this day and age,
  111. 7:41how many times have you heard people kind of stave off
  112. 7:44the conviction after having heard the gospel proclaim
  113. 7:46by saying, well, I'm a good person.
  114. 7:48I'm a good person to which the astute Christian responds.
  115. 7:52There's none good, but Jesus Christ upon what standard do you assess yourself as good?
  116. 7:56But what is being said often is that,
  117. 8:00no, what do you mean I need to say?
  118. 8:03I'm good in my own eyes, right?
  119. 8:05And one of the major impediments, especially for people who are talented,
  120. 8:07for people who are gifted, for people who have ability, for people who have skill,
  121. 8:11for people who are entrepreneurial, people who are who are a business driven,
  122. 8:16people who have all of these talents is that they have a very difficult time
  123. 8:20recognizing, oh, wait a minute.
  124. 8:21I too have need of a Savior.
  125. 8:25One of the biggest stumbling blocks for people like that often coming to faith in Christ is
  126. 8:30that they cannot fathom surrendering control.
  127. 8:35If you're watching the show, you see me with the air quotes, control of their lives.
  128. 8:39They cannot fathom surrendering control of their lives.
  129. 8:43And so because of fear for what life looks like, surrendering to someone other than yourself,
  130. 8:51surrendering to someone other than you, it produces a bondage.
  131. 8:56And with the Hebrew writer is pointing to a slavery is not just a general bondage, but it's a specific,
  132. 9:02it's a specific, it is a specific bondage that results in eternal damnation.
  133. 9:07It is a bondage that leads to a rejection of the finished work of the cross,
  134. 9:12in an effort to make one their own, you know, sortereological figure.
  135. 9:18Jesus came to destroy that slavery, but the incapacity to recognize man, you know, as much
  136. 9:27as I might think, as good as I might view my life to be, I'm in bondage based off, based
  137. 9:36on, I should say, a fear of death.
  138. 9:40No doubt about it.
  139. 9:41The Scripture has clearly in view here a physical mortality, but I want you to understand that
  140. 9:46but not only a physical mortality is in view here.
  141. 9:50In addition to a physical mortality,
  142. 9:52what is also in view is a notion of bondage
  143. 9:58to where one is made nervous, made afraid of,
  144. 10:08oh, what will my life look like now?
  145. 10:10What will it look like if I fully surrender?
  146. 10:13Which is why they often use phrase,
  147. 10:15but I don't think people really consider
  148. 10:16what this phrase means.
  149. 10:18often use phrase within Christian circles that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord,
  150. 10:23a lot of people want to secure fire insurance. Not as many people are willing
  151. 10:28to embrace the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Because of this verse here, an inability
  152. 10:33to fathom. What does it look like? When I say that Jesus is Lord, I'm saying that I
  153. 10:36am surrendering the leadership, the headship, the direction of my course of life.
  154. 10:41What does that look like? And for too many people that becomes a hindrance. That
  155. 10:47That becomes an impediment.
  156. 10:49That becomes a means by which the gospel is staved off, which is why I'm pointing us to
  157. 10:57the scripture.
  158. 10:58Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he himself, Messiah, this is referring
  159. 11:03to likewise, also particularly the same, that through death he, Messiah, might destroy, might
  160. 11:11render powerless him who had the power of death, that is the devil.
  161. 11:15This is why it's vitally important that we understand that among the things that Jesus
  162. 11:19conquered is that Jesus conquered death.
  163. 11:23The believer is a beneficiary of the conqueror of death.
  164. 11:28It is because we have no need any longer to fear physical human mortality.
  165. 11:36The things that they make movies about.
  166. 11:37The things that Marvel is trying to show all these superheroes.
  167. 11:39The believer is the only one who enjoys true immortality.
  168. 11:43It is because Christ has conquered death and that we have eternity as our anticipatory
  169. 11:50home that it infuses our life and the here and now what outsides meaning and significance.
  170. 11:55Y'all have heard me explain this before, the tension that the Apostle Paul articulated in
  171. 11:59Philippians chapter 1, right?
  172. 12:01I don't know which to choose to live on is fruitful labor.
  173. 12:04But to be in the presence of the Lord is far better for me.
  174. 12:07I don't know which to choose.
  175. 12:08No one will be able to convince me, be able to successfully convince me that Paul was
  176. 12:13confused which way did he go which way did he go which one is better to be in
  177. 12:17heaven of the owner I don't know no Paul was confused what he was articulating is
  178. 12:21a recognition that he loved Jesus so much that he loved Jesus purposes for him
  179. 12:26and he recognized that Jesus his purpose for him included him being the
  180. 12:32apostle to the Gentiles so as much as he loved the Lord and yearned to be in his
  181. 12:36hands with presence he equally loved Jesus his purpose for him in serving him
  182. 12:41until his temporal clock expired.
  183. 12:46That's what he was saying.
  184. 12:48Jesus conquered death.
  185. 12:51And he, verse 15, Hebrews 2, 15, and he might free those
  186. 12:55who through fear of death were subject to slavery,
  187. 13:00all their lives.
  188. 13:03Brothers and sisters, we have people in our lives
  189. 13:06who are wrestling and maybe have wrestled
  190. 13:10with the reality of coming to faith in Christ Jesus
  191. 13:13because the wrestling is, what will my future look like afterwards?
  192. 13:20At a young boy one time I was sharing a gospel with that says,
  193. 13:23what does it mean?
  194. 13:24I mean, if I get my life to Jesus in salvation,
  195. 13:26does that mean now I have to get a bull horn
  196. 13:28and go on the corner and evangelize every week?
  197. 13:31To what I said, maybe.
  198. 13:36What was he asking?
  199. 13:37This simple thing I'm saying now,
  200. 13:38what will my life look like after the fact?
  201. 13:41It's important that we recognize
  202. 13:44that lifelong slavery is the satanic objective.
  203. 13:48When the scripture says John Ten Ten,
  204. 13:50the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.
  205. 13:54The fact of the matter is whenever the thief is involved,
  206. 13:58hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe.
  207. 14:00Whenever the thief is involved, his objective is the same,
  208. 14:03theft, murder, and destruction.
  209. 14:05No matter what the initial presentation appears to be,
  210. 14:07the ultimate objective is theft, murder, and destruction.
  211. 14:11Now, how many thieves, murderer, and destroyers ever present themselves
  212. 14:14initially as that. Normally the poison sellers coax their poison or couch their
  213. 14:23poison I should say in something appealable like chocolate. Yeah poison but I'm
  214. 14:28putting the chocolate wrapper. What they really trying to get you to ingest is
  215. 14:31the poison. We need to recognize that sin is not only sin sin is slavery sin is
  216. 14:38bondage and Jesus is the bondage breaker. If you are listening to listening to me
  217. 14:43and the impediment has been in you receiving Jesus Christ,
  218. 14:48is that you don't know what your life will look like
  219. 14:49thereafter, let me just tell you.
  220. 14:51Jesus Christ is the bondage breaker.
  221. 14:53You will never experience liberty, as you will, in Christ Jesus.
  222. 15:01A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  223. 15:04In the tragic abortion debate today,
  224. 15:07with people who say that they love the Lord
  225. 15:09on both sides of the issue, who is right?
  226. 15:12A bigger question is, who decides what is right or wrong?
  227. 15:16Who decides what pleases the Lord and what does not please him?
  228. 15:21God does.
  229. 15:22God tells us his perspective and thoughts.
  230. 15:25He tells us what is right and what is wrong in his word.
  231. 15:29In the present cultural landscape, we can actually determine who is right and who is wrong.
  232. 15:34We can see who is on the Lord's side and who is not.
  233. 15:38It's not a matter of who is God's siding with.
  234. 15:41God doesn't take sides.
  235. 15:43He gives us his word.
  236. 15:45And if we line up with his word, we end up on the right side of an issue.
  237. 15:49Let's rise up and faithfully stand for light and help end the tragedy of abortion in our
  238. 15:55culture and world.
  239. 15:57Hi, this is Jim Scudder with today's Moment in Grace.
  240. 16:05Ever wondered why there are always so many potholes on the road?
  241. 16:10Life feels the same way.
  242. 16:12We hit bumps and wonder, why can't the path be smooth?
  243. 16:17The Christian life isn't meant to be easy.
  244. 16:20When trouble comes, where do you turn?
  245. 16:23God's word is the only place with real answers.
  246. 16:27In scripture, we promise that if we seek, we will find.
  247. 16:32Maybe you're feeling the weight of a financial burden, or you're facing a rebellious teenager.
  248. 16:38God uses each trial to shape us into better followers of Christ.
  249. 16:45So the next time you hit a pothole, don't ask why.
  250. 16:49Turn to God's word and let Him grow you through it.

  252. 17:05Shiting Light into the Darkness, this is the Hamilton Corner, an American Family Radio.
  253. 17:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton III here and I am delighted to have
  254. 17:15on the program with me live and direct from Olivet Nazarene University. We're live at the
  255. 17:21Illinois Christian Home Educators 2025 home school conference, the executive director of
  256. 17:26ICHE that is Illinois Christian Home Educators. None other than Kirk Smith. I have to say this
  257. 17:33guys. I had the privilege of hearing this brother speak last night at the speaker's dinner
  258. 17:39And I went up to him afterwards and I said, I'm home.
  259. 17:42I'm home.
  260. 17:44He sounds like my heart.
  261. 17:48And when I heard him and I went up and told him that last night.
  262. 17:51So thank you, first of all, for inviting me to be a part of this conference.
  263. 17:54And also thank you for agreeing to come on to the program here this evening.
  264. 17:58It's an absolute joy to have you, Abraham, as well as your team here.
  265. 18:01We loved your ministry.
  266. 18:02We loved your words.
  267. 18:03As I said last night, I heard you last year at HSLD at the National Conference.
  268. 18:08and just absolute joy and I said, we've got to get this guy.
  269. 18:12Well, praise God for that.
  270. 18:14And my heartbeat as you heard last year,
  271. 18:18and I was sharing a little bit at the workshop today,
  272. 18:21but you should love the Lord with your mind,
  273. 18:23is one, mind cultivation is central to disciple making.
  274. 18:27Amen.
  275. 18:28The root word of repentance, the Greek word is metanoia,
  276. 18:31compound word with the mind to turn.
  277. 18:34And for too long, the believer has ceded mind cultivation
  278. 18:38to the unbeliever yet waxed surprised
  279. 18:41that we're seeing a generational movement
  280. 18:43in a particular direction unimpeded.
  281. 18:45That's not the product of coincidence,
  282. 18:47that's not merely the spirit of the age in advance,
  283. 18:49it's the product of an intentional effort
  284. 18:51that has been effective in our generation.
  285. 18:53And I know this is the core to your heart.
  286. 18:56So I want to begin this conversation
  287. 18:57by inviting you to simply share a bit
  288. 19:00with our audience here.
  289. 19:02What is ICHE and what is your mission?
  290. 19:05ICHE has been around for 40 years.
  291. 19:08It stands, as you said, for Illinois Christian educators.
  292. 19:11It began with just three couples around the table,
  293. 19:1440 years ago.
  294. 19:15And by God's grace, the vision has stayed the same
  295. 19:19if not even intensified over the last few years.
  296. 19:22And that is that we want to use home education
  297. 19:25just as a method, just as a means Abraham
  298. 19:28of glorifying Jesus Christ.
  299. 19:30And while again, we do stress academics for us,
  300. 19:34It's about knowing Jesus Christ.
  301. 19:36If our kids gain the whole world,
  302. 19:38get a six-figure job, go to Harvard,
  303. 19:40what does that matter if they lose their soul in the process?
  304. 19:43It really is galling.
  305. 19:47And one of the things that's unfortunate
  306. 19:49within the body of Christ, many of us substitute good,
  307. 19:53I would even add godly intentions
  308. 19:56with being synonymous, with being effective
  309. 19:58in accomplishing the purpose.
  310. 20:00When Jesus cursed the fig tree, and I know you know this,
  311. 20:02The Bible tells us that when Jesus approached the fig tree,
  312. 20:06the fig tree was in leaf, which gives us the indication
  313. 20:09that the external appearance represented the fact
  314. 20:13that it might have been fruit on the tree.
  315. 20:15And then it was at a time and in a location
  316. 20:18where food should have been and could have been expected
  317. 20:20based on it being in leaf, but upon close examination,
  318. 20:23there was no fruit on the tree.
  319. 20:24And so many times we have people who may be genuine
  320. 20:27in intention and have a golly intention,
  321. 20:31but I'm not looking to see the implementation vehicle,
  322. 20:33a mechanism, and are then surprised when the fruit
  323. 20:37is not on the tree.
  324. 20:38Is that something you might have made this experience?
  325. 20:40You know, education matters.
  326. 20:42How we learn, what we learn matters so much.
  327. 20:45And as you said so perfectly earlier on,
  328. 20:48is we've got to love go with our minds.
  329. 20:50And that includes education.
  330. 20:51And I fear that in the name of keeping up with culture,
  331. 20:56that we have been absorbed into the culture as well.
  332. 21:00And we must stay distinct in not just our individual
  333. 21:04callings, but especially with our organizations and our
  334. 21:07ministries.
  335. 21:08There's too many people that are trying to accommodate the
  336. 21:10world within the Christian context.
  337. 21:13And it's like what an oil brother, it just, it will not mix.
  338. 21:16No matter how much we try to put those two together, they
  339. 21:20just can't do it.
  340. 21:21But yet we keep on trying to take what God has and put
  341. 21:25man's twist on that as well.
  342. 21:26and it's either God or man's and man's always fails.
  343. 21:30Yeah, it's almost like it's a discomfort with peculiarity.
  344. 21:34Yes, amen. That's good words.
  345. 21:38Okay, let's talk about this conference a bit.
  346. 21:40We're in the exhibit hall now, I believe there were 1500 plus people here.
  347. 21:43If not more, I think that was the number pre-registered.
  348. 21:46Yes.
  349. 21:47What is the purpose of this conference and how does this conference help to,
  350. 21:52I would say two-fold, serve the families who are members of ICHE
  351. 21:55and also accomplish ICAQ's purpose.
  352. 21:57Or basically a vision organization, Abraham,
  353. 22:00and all we want to do is keep people back to Christ,
  354. 22:03back to Christ, back to Christ.
  355. 22:05Because like I said, that vision's getting lost,
  356. 22:08even among Christian organizations now.
  357. 22:10And so we're that voice crying in the wilderness,
  358. 22:13go back to Jesus Christ,
  359. 22:14you know, seeking first the kingdom of God
  360. 22:15and his righteousness, and on that, everything else builds.
  361. 22:19And it's so easy to get the cart in front of the horse
  362. 22:22and to worry about our kids' education,
  363. 22:25their academics rather than worried about their character and their Christlike.
  364. 22:28We believe we get Jesus Christ right.
  365. 22:31All those other things will come together.
  366. 22:34And we've seen that in our own life.
  367. 22:35We have 11 kids and we have seen although we've not maybe been the best academically.
  368. 22:40Our kids have all done well in college and we just give all glory to Jesus Christ.
  369. 22:46And we also think the method is a part of that process.
  370. 22:49You mentioned your children.
  371. 22:51Would you tell us a little bit about your family?
  372. 22:52I know that you have 11 children.
  373. 22:55You and your wife would just speak a little bit about that.
  374. 22:57Maybe their ages and where they are, their life stages.
  375. 23:00Well, what's ironic about this whole thing
  376. 23:02in my position as the executive director,
  377. 23:04Abraham, I used to preach against homeschooling.
  378. 23:07When I was a senior pastor at the age of 23, 24,
  379. 23:11my thing was real life, sink or swim, live or die,
  380. 23:14and most of them were sinking and dying.
  381. 23:16And I just started looking practically
  382. 23:18at what homeschooling looked like.
  383. 23:20And then when we came to our first conference in 1999,
  384. 23:2326 years ago, we heard those two words.
  385. 23:27I was a pastor, serious about my faith, brother,
  386. 23:30but those two words we heard rang in our spirits,
  387. 23:33and that was home discipleship.
  388. 23:36And that's when we saw it,
  389. 23:38and it captivated our hearts.
  390. 23:40And so we've been the blessed, we were done,
  391. 23:42we had four kids at the time, and we were done.
  392. 23:44And the first conference somebody said,
  393. 23:59You can't win a football game if you're playing by baseball rules.
  394. 24:03And Dr. Tony Evans says the same is true for Christians.
  395. 24:07He'll explain today as we spend two minutes with Tony.
  396. 24:11You know they call Disneyland the Magic Team.
  397. 24:14You gave your children so you have the 11.
  398. 24:15That's different from the world you left.
  399. 24:16When you go with the Disneyland.
  400. 24:18Spung into your heart from a conference just like this.
  401. 24:21This actual conference.
  402. 24:23This actual conference.
  403. 24:24Now that is amazing from being an attendee at this actual conference.
  404. 24:28and now being executive director of the organization
  405. 24:30that puts it on, isn't that an amazing?
  406. 24:33We used to come up here just to get away from everybody.
  407. 24:37We're from Southern Illinois, about four hours from here.
  408. 24:39And so we'd come up here, nobody knew us,
  409. 24:41it was our time to get it.
  410. 24:43Only time while you're, everybody knows us now.
  411. 24:50Yeah, and your children are here and are involved.
  412. 24:54So how then, as an attendee to this conference,
  413. 24:57how do you view this conference as casting that vision
  414. 25:01families but enable the families to implement what they need to take on the mantle of home
  415. 25:06discipleship. Absolutely. Well the thing that I love about this conference and this group that I
  416. 25:10work with, it's our DNA. The discipleship, the centrality of Christ, it is our DNA. It's not
  417. 25:17something that we do on top of or instead of our mission statement. It's who we are. And so our goal
  418. 25:23is just to cast the vision, cast the vision because there are so many competing voices out there,
  419. 25:28there, you know that Abraham.
  420. 25:29And there's not enough people hearing this,
  421. 25:33even in the church, they're not hearing Christ's center
  422. 25:35that we should get our lifestyle choices,
  423. 25:39our academic choices from the scriptures
  424. 25:42and not from some other place.
  425. 25:44And that's where we go.
  426. 25:45We go to the scriptures first,
  427. 25:46and those are some great curriculum out there.
  428. 25:48And I think the curriculum and the homeschool movement
  429. 25:50is the best because it's based on capitalism, not cronyism.
  430. 25:53And so if it's not good, it goes.
  431. 25:55And so we are so grateful for that aspect,
  432. 25:58but it must be again with God and it must end with God.
  433. 26:02And that's what we just preach time and time again.
  434. 26:05It's all about Jesus Christ.
  435. 26:07What is, if you don't mind sharing the age range
  436. 26:09of your children?
  437. 26:10Yes, our Otis is 31 and she just gave us
  438. 26:14our third grandchildren four days ago.
  439. 26:16Hey, congratulations.
  440. 26:18Oh, we're excited, our first grandson.
  441. 26:20So goes 31 and our youngest is 13.
  442. 26:23Wow.
  443. 26:24are in the middle 17 to 25. And boy, we are blessed Abraham. When we started this, we did
  444. 26:32it by faith. There were no homeschoolers around us for all practical purposes and definitely
  445. 26:36no one had the vision of home discipleship like ours is. And we sit back, sometimes Abraham
  446. 26:42and we marvel at God. And I hesitate to say this, but I also want to get this vision out
  447. 26:47there. We have not had a bad day. We've had a few bad moments here and there, but our kids
  448. 26:54are all serving God. They're all baptized believers. They all have fruit that remains.
  449. 26:58I'd heard a speaker years ago, had 15 kids and all of them were serving Lord and I told
  450. 27:04my wife, that's what I want for us. And by His mercy and by His grace we have that now.
  451. 27:10And now we're getting to that point in life where we don't just talk to our kids. We talk
  452. 27:15with our kids. And that is such a joy to hear our kids sharing back, maybe not in absolute
  453. 27:24totality, but in the general vision of how they've been raised.
  454. 27:28We want to be an intergenerational testimony to our kids.
  455. 27:34And my goal, as I've said before, my goal as a dad is to be the worst dad for the next
  456. 27:39ten generations.
  457. 27:40I want each of my sons, each generation to become successively better and more godly in
  458. 27:45the process.
  459. 27:46So that's the vision that we push out.
  460. 27:48That every generation we better than this generation.
  461. 27:51You said, I've said a similar thing in a different way.
  462. 27:53I've said, two of my sons and my wife are right there.
  463. 27:56I've said, may my ceiling be my children's floor.
  464. 28:00Yeah, absolutely.
  465. 28:01We prayed that.
  466. 28:02My wife and I prayed that together.
  467. 28:03We prayed together and we are ceiling be our children's floor.
  468. 28:07And that is, and you shared that even last night,
  469. 28:10may I be the worst dad.
  470. 28:12You said in the Smith line, that the Smith fathers that come
  471. 28:16after you, that they each would be,
  472. 28:20I would say exponentially better,
  473. 28:22generationally, generationally.
  474. 28:23That is the vision, I believe, of the God in his words.
  475. 28:27Psalm 78, Psalm 127, Psalm 128, generation,
  476. 28:31one of the things that is intrinsic to Biblical masculinity
  477. 28:34is a generational view.
  478. 28:36While we have the reality that we live,
  479. 28:39and I have to say this will live from eternity,
  480. 28:41for eternity, but we also have the disposition.
  481. 28:44Should the Lord teary, this is what our temple engagement
  482. 28:46should look like in by God's grace,
  483. 28:48what we should seek to produce.
  484. 28:49Absolutely.
  485. 28:50And having that type of vision is something clearly
  486. 28:52that's not often discussed in the world,
  487. 28:55but unfortunately too often, not even in the church.
  488. 28:58Well, and you see that in the scripture,
  489. 28:59so clearly Abraham, I just did a session on Beniah,
  490. 29:02one of David's mighty men.
  491. 29:04Oh, yes.
  492. 29:05And I just told them in there, I said,
  493. 29:06you understand the only reason we know about Jehoida
  494. 29:10was because of Beniah.
  495. 29:12And I challenged the fathers that if your name would live on
  496. 29:16only through your son's deeds,
  497. 29:18How would that affect how you raise them right now?
  498. 29:21You wouldn't make work the end all.
  499. 29:23You wouldn't make your name the end all.
  500. 29:24You would say yourself or what you are,
  501. 29:27intergenerational figure to make the next generation
  502. 29:32better and more godly than you.
  503. 29:34And when you say the word vision,
  504. 29:36there is no vision people perish,
  505. 29:38but when people do have a vision, wow,
  506. 29:42what can happen?
  507. 29:43These kids, they wanna be meaningful.
  508. 29:46They want their lives to matter.
  509. 29:47And when you give a generational vision like that,
  510. 29:51man, that's something to lay down your toys for, right?
  511. 29:53That's something to lay down your desire for wealth
  512. 29:57to make sure the next generation has that vision
  513. 30:00and perpetuates that vision to the generation
  514. 30:02after that like Psalm 78.
  515. 30:04I want to run an underline under that.
  516. 30:07Would you just connect that step between Baniya
  517. 30:10and Johoita for the people who are listening?
  518. 30:13What is the relationship between the two
  519. 30:14and how do we know about the lion chaser,
  520. 30:18you know, the snowy day, explain that connection for us.
  521. 30:22Well, for me, I look at Jehoida and I look at Baniya.
  522. 30:26They had the same two qualities.
  523. 30:28They were both priests and warriors.
  524. 30:32And we tend to think in dichotomous terms of either or,
  525. 30:36rather than both and.
  526. 30:38And I think our young men can be lion slayers,
  527. 30:41but also men who are prostrate before the Lord,
  528. 30:44seeking his face, his guidance, his blessing, his favor to pass on to the next generation.
  529. 30:49Oh, so profound. When we were talking last night, you mentioned the conversation you had with a pastor
  530. 30:55from another country and he came and he visited what is the so-called top churches in America
  531. 31:02and his observation after that experience. Would you mind sharing that?
  532. 31:05I would be glad to, as I said last night, a guy who had been in prison in for his faith in China
  533. 31:09was supernatural released. He came to America and was taking some of the biggest and best
  534. 31:14churches in America. And after his six-month furlough over here, his guide asked him,
  535. 31:21sir, you've been in some of the biggest and best churches in America, he said, what's your take home?
  536. 31:26What's your biggest impression? And by the way, as I told you last night, this has defined my ministry,
  537. 31:32this story. He said, the thing that amazes me the most about the church in America is how much you
  538. 31:39can do without the presence of God.
  539. 31:42And I tell you, my friend, that is where we're at.
  540. 31:44We have the smoke machines, we have the full bands, we have all the power points, but the
  541. 31:50question is, do we have the Spirit of God willing in our midst that people can not just have
  542. 31:56information on Sunday, but be transformed by the Word of God.
  543. 32:00I've seen that Abraham.
  544. 32:02We've lived that in our own ministerial lives.
  545. 32:05And I want everyone to have that experience to know God is not just a great historical
  546. 32:10character that we know is true.
  547. 32:12He's someone involved with your life every single day.
  548. 32:16And I wanted you to share that story not only for the popular ecclesiastical understanding
  549. 32:22of that, but how does that even apply to our navigation of our families?
  550. 32:27Yes.
  551. 32:28You know, every day we cannot not teach our kids.
  552. 32:31where every parent is teaching their kids something,
  553. 32:34the question is, what will we teach them?
  554. 32:37And it's so easy to get a unholy mixture of the world
  555. 32:40and the word together.
  556. 32:42And so for dads means that we have to open the word of God.
  557. 32:45Every man, I challenge every man,
  558. 32:48lead devotions in your family.
  559. 32:50Because number one, your sons need to see
  560. 32:53what a godly man looks like.
  561. 32:55And I said, as a dad of six daughters,
  562. 32:59your daughters need to know what a godly man looks like as well.
  563. 33:03After that's one of the things I'll call it.
  564. 33:05That's how you bust to proof your girls by giving them a great picture of what biblical
  565. 33:09man looks like because your girls become aware of, wait, I know what godly manhood looks
  566. 33:15like because I've had a father who modeled that for me.
  567. 33:17And so I may not know everything but I know that over there is a counterfeit that looks
  568. 33:21nothing like my father.
  569. 33:23Our boys and our girls need to see what Godly headship looks like in practice, in practice,
  570. 33:30and what we do in our homes.
  571. 33:33Man, it's far more important than what goes on in the highways and biowatts of life.
  572. 33:38And simply put, we are shaping our nation's culture and we are building the future of our
  573. 33:42families based on what we do day by day.
  574. 33:44More with Brother Kurt Smith on the other side of the break because you've had an amazing
  575. 33:49legislative victory in the state of Illinois.
  576. 33:50I'm going to talk about that when we come back.
  577. 33:53off the with us.
  578. 33:59AFA action takes attacks on the family seriously.
  579. 34:03The enemies of the family constantly
  580. 34:05employ new tactics to try to sneak past our radar.
  581. 34:08They know if we stand together, their evil plans will fail.
  582. 34:12Your gift to AFA action allows us to stay vigilant
  583. 34:15against their onslaught.
  584. 34:16And if you give this month, you'll receive access
  585. 34:19to the Cultural Institute video when your faith is illegal
  586. 34:22by Frank Harbor on AFA Stream, as our thanks.
  587. 34:25You can make your gift today at AFAAction.net.
  588. 34:29Life can be hard,
  589. 34:31but we have to keep our eyes focused on Jesus.
  590. 34:33I'm Kristi Graham,
  591. 34:34host of On the Ground with Samaritan's Purse.
  592. 34:37And I want to encourage you in your walk with God.

  596. 34:46as you hear how God is actively changing lives.
  597. 34:50Join us for On the Ground with Samaritan's Purse,
  598. 34:53Sunday's at 830 a.m. Central.
  599. 34:56Right here on American Family Radio.
  600. 35:03The Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Common Terrets
  601. 35:07are available at EFR.net.
  602. 35:09Back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  603. 35:14Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton III.
  604. 35:17We are all ready in the final segment.
  605. 35:19I didn't let everybody know.
  606. 35:20We still have the corner contingent.
  607. 35:22Produce extraordinaire often imitating up duplicated
  608. 35:24to my right, Mr. Bobby Arrosa is back in the home base man
  609. 35:28in the controls and we are on site at Olivet Naz
  610. 35:49victory this last session in the state of Illinois, House Bill 2827, which was a draconian, abominable
  611. 35:59measure that sought to reverse the freedom to disciple our children in our homes and your
  612. 36:04home state, the land of Lincoln.
  613. 36:07And thankfully by God's grace it was stopped in its tracks.
  614. 36:10I want to have a conversation with you about that.
  615. 36:12What was that experience like?
  616. 36:14And at first before we do that, what was in the bill that ICHE and others found so objectionable?
  617. 36:23Yeah, it took Illinois maybe the one of the best two or three states presently in the nation
  618. 36:29when it comes to homeschooling laws.
  619. 36:31And this bill would have made us one of the worst three overnight.
  620. 36:35There were several penalties, possible jail time attached to this bill.
  621. 36:41The sponsor did a couple of occasions, but it was a bad bill.
  622. 36:46They wrapped it around, of course, right now across the nation.
  623. 36:49It's about taking care of abused kids.
  624. 36:51That's just a smoke string.
  625. 36:53One of our ladies in our ICHE family was talking to one of the sponsors and had a great conversation
  626. 36:59all of a sudden.
  627. 37:00The sponsor's demeanor changed and she said, you will report to us.
  628. 37:06It wasn't that.
  629. 37:07We're doing this for the kids.
  630. 37:08That was a state legislator telling a homeschool mom that you homeschool mom will report to us
  631. 37:14what you're doing in your home.
  632. 37:16That was word for word.
  633. 37:17This is one of the major sponsors of the bill and again they were having a very pleasant conversation
  634. 37:22all changed.
  635. 37:23That's where we know this is all about ideology.
  636. 37:25This has nothing to do with abused kids.
  637. 37:27If that were the case, they didn't want to start in Chicago public school system.
  638. 37:31That's a travesty going on there but yet nothing ever changes there.
  639. 37:36with every, I know you're associated with HSLDAA,
  640. 37:39but with every attempt we see at regulation right now,
  641. 37:44they're using abused kids, abused kids.
  642. 37:47And every one they've used, every example they've used so far,
  643. 37:51without exception, have all been public school parents
  644. 37:55who were abusing their kids and then came home.
  645. 37:58And that's not reported near now.
  646. 38:00This is not a homeschooling problem.
  647. 38:02This is a public school parental problem.
  648. 38:04problem and also it's a problem with DCFS. Now my heart does go out for DCFS,
  649. 38:09they're overworked, they're under man, they're underfunded and all these kids
  650. 38:14are just falling through the cracks but to sit back and blame homeschooling is
  651. 38:19total hypocrisy and a total fallacy. Because you mentioned and it is true all
  652. 38:25across the country when you have a legislative effort to really curtail
  653. 38:30homeschooling freedom and in various points the reasoning for it is because
  654. 38:37well we have to look out for the circumstance where a child could be abused
  655. 38:42in the home but as you mentioned that the cases that have been cited are
  656. 38:47children whose families have sent in the public schools and the abuse already is
  657. 38:53transpiring while they're public school students and they often removed their
  658. 38:57children from the schools the abusive parents removed their children from the
  659. 39:00schools in order to conceal their abuse in many instances.
  660. 39:03Amen.
  661. 39:04That's exactly right.
  662. 39:05And what's even sadder, I don't know of one exception to where whatever state we're talking
  663. 39:10about, whatever their DCFS or CFS, what every family service organization goes by, they were
  664. 39:17in the system already.
  665. 39:19The big push is this, we want to get people registered to where we know where kids are
  666. 39:22at.
  667. 39:23These kids were already in the public school system.
  668. 39:25They weren't even more specifically in the children family services system.
  669. 39:29So they knew where they were at and this still happened.
  670. 39:34And so more regulation is not the problem.
  671. 39:37It never, or never the solution.
  672. 39:38It never will be the solution.
  673. 39:41Brian Ray, who's kind of the George Gallup of the homeschool community, has had study
  674. 39:45after study, after study, proven this to be true.
  675. 39:49And no one who are the proponents of this bill from CRHE, the Alum, Massachusetts, to the state
  676. 39:55legislators will argue with his statistics because they're solid. They just don't care.
  677. 40:02So if the stated reason is not the actual reason, what do you think is motivating these legislators
  678. 40:10and these organizations that are really enemies of, I'll say it plainly, home discipleship,
  679. 40:17what do you think they're really motivated by?
  680. 40:19They're elitist. And the good thing about this is not all of them are, even on the party
  681. 40:25who would be the least supportive of us.
  682. 40:26They're so grateful to the Black Caucus in Illinois
  683. 40:30and numerous Democrats have stood with the Republicans
  684. 40:33on this issue because they understand,
  685. 40:35they see it for what it is.
  686. 40:36And so what our people understand is freedom can be gone
  687. 40:42so easily.
  688. 40:43And I think our folks are realizing that
  689. 40:45and that's what we keep on pushing to our congregation,
  690. 40:47to our family here.
  691. 40:49And they understand that.
  692. 40:50There's two rules with homeschoolers, Abraham.
  693. 40:52Number one, mama bears love their kids.
  694. 40:55number two don't mess with mama bear and that's what these folks have done in
  695. 40:59coming out and again some of the folks who have stood with us especially on the
  696. 41:02democrat side they've taken political backlash for it one just got removed
  697. 41:07from the democratic caucus last week another one his bills were not heard on
  698. 41:11the committee floor of one of the sponsors it's just Chicago and Illinois
  699. 41:16dim politics at their worst and we hate to see that because the good of the
  700. 41:22the individual, the will the people should rise above everything else.
  701. 41:25And that simply has not happened here.
  702. 41:28And it just makes Illinois look bad.
  703. 41:30And I really hate this.
  704. 41:31This is my home state.
  705. 41:32I've been here all my life.
  706. 41:34And I want to see our state flourish.
  707. 41:36But right now with the ideology at hand, that's not going to happen.
  708. 41:40God cannot bless a nation nor a state who sticks kids to abort kids, who do what a physician
  709. 41:48assisted suicide here has been a bill that didn't make it through this session as well.
  710. 41:52It's like we are hell bent on doing everything we can to destroy this state.
  711. 41:58Now, you refer to serving your family here, you're referring to ICHE members, right, when
  712. 42:04you say your family, not your biological family.
  713. 42:06Amen, yeah.
  714. 42:07You said congregation in the family.
  715. 42:08I'm going to make sure everybody at home is following us.
  716. 42:11I want to ask you to share how can people who may not be here support the work of ICHE
  717. 42:18and how can they connect with ICHE and follow what all the great where you're doing there?
  718. 42:22Well, again, we're blessed. The first thing we come to, whenever I was high with ICHE, it's been 13 years
  719. 42:28ago. Now, the very first day I met, we established a monthly day of prayer and fasting. Yes, the horses
  720. 42:35made ready for battle, but victory comes from God. And we had people praying and fasting throughout
  721. 42:41this whole semester. They're already praying for the next spring section, and all honest that we'll
  722. 42:45won't come back up. But we started with prayer. Secondly, we had our people show up in droves.
  723. 42:51We had, we set a new record to Capitol. We had 7,000 show up one day. We had-
  724. 42:56We're talking about 7,000 people who are homeschool families and homeschool supporters to oppose
  725. 43:02this horrible legislation. They came to the Capitol.
  726. 43:04In your state Capitol in Springfield. Yeah. I'm not, I'm pretty sure that they don't see
  727. 43:097,000 citizens show up concerning one piece of legislation at one time.
  728. 43:14So these folks, they were in the end of 2011, the last time we had this problem, we had
  729. 43:185,000 show up.
  730. 43:20And so these folks for the most part were ignorant.
  731. 43:23They kind of prayed on some freshmen.
  732. 43:25Meaning the legislators.
  733. 43:27Yes, I'm sorry, the legislators prayed on some freshmen, legislators took advantage of them.
  734. 43:32They had no idea what they were getting themselves into.
  735. 43:35So we had 7,000 show up.
  736. 43:36We have a cherry pie day as just our own group.
  737. 43:40I say, she went 2,000 short for that two weeks before.
  738. 43:44And what's really amazing is we had over 50,000 witness slips
  739. 43:49filed against this bill in less than 18 hours.
  740. 43:52Wow.
  741. 43:53Yeah, people really came out.
  742. 43:55And that's again, this is for all the marbles.
  743. 43:57We understand where this thing's going.
  744. 43:59We want, we expect, we are freedom lovers.
  745. 44:02We expect that God has given our kids to us,
  746. 44:05not the state to raise.
  747. 44:07And so we're gonna stand by that,
  748. 44:09and we are not gonna go.
  749. 44:10Legislators come and go, but homeschoolers stay forever.
  750. 44:14So you mentioned that there were
  751. 44:17freshmen and legislators, new legislators
  752. 44:19who were taking advantage of some people
  753. 44:20to get this bill passed and you referred to earlier,
  754. 44:23that it was a bipartisan effort
  755. 44:26that it wasn't just Republicans,
  756. 44:27what just Democrats that opposed the bill
  757. 44:29was a bipartisan effort, but a lot of the Democrat
  758. 44:32legislature members who opposed this legislation
  759. 44:36ultimately ended up paying a price from their own party.
  760. 44:39Yes.
  761. 44:40As a result, supporting your efforts
  762. 44:43to fight against this wicked piece of legislation.
  763. 44:45Yes, there is no loyalty in politics
  764. 44:47when it comes into Illinois.
  765. 44:49It's about strong alarming, twisting people's arms
  766. 44:52to get what they want out of them.
  767. 44:54But fortunately we had some Democrats
  768. 44:56who were so good to stand up with us
  769. 44:58and the black caucus was amazing
  770. 45:01because this bill would affect all homeschoolers,
  771. 45:04but especially the African American community
  772. 45:06Latino community because they don't have the place to go.
  773. 45:09The first six women who signed on, they were all women,
  774. 45:12and I don't want to make this a racist thing,
  775. 45:13but they're all quite often the suburbs.
  776. 45:15They don't understand how difficult it is
  777. 45:18when people are basically shackled
  778. 45:20to Chicago Public School System.
  779. 45:23They don't have charter schools.
  780. 45:24They don't have all these private and Christian schools there.
  781. 45:27Homeschooling makes the best sense for them,
  782. 45:30not just academically, but also financially.
  783. 45:34It's all they can afford to do,
  784. 45:35but yet it's the best thing to do.
  785. 45:37And so I think these women,
  786. 45:39whatever their motivation was from the suburbs,
  787. 45:41really didn't I?
  788. 45:42You're saying these are women who sponsored the legislation.
  789. 45:44So they were a suburban female legislators
  790. 45:49that are telling these, you know, these urban parents,
  791. 45:53though this is what you're gonna do with your children.
  792. 45:55Yes, and they had later on,
  793. 45:56I can think they figured that out,
  794. 45:57so they started to get a couple,
  795. 45:59one of them was a minority freshman first year.
  796. 46:01Wait a minute, you said they started to figure that out.
  797. 46:03Yeah, they did.
  798. 46:04I don't know how, and I don't know if anybody wants to say it,
  799. 46:07but for me, you've got to say what's reality.
  800. 46:08You've got six white ladies from the suburbs,
  801. 46:11and they're trying to tell folks in downtown Chicago,
  802. 46:14what, you know, again, sanctuary cities,
  803. 46:16if these folks had to register,
  804. 46:18that list would go to Trump in D.C.
  805. 46:21So everything they were wanting to do,
  806. 46:23it's just the opposite of what they really should have done
  807. 46:26if they were really concerned about
  808. 46:28what they said they were concerned about.
  809. 46:29It's just totally backwards,
  810. 46:31but our prayer was, during his time, Abraham,
  811. 46:33I was praying some of the Psalm prayers, you know,
  812. 46:36the Precadore prayers with David,
  813. 46:38and that God would send them confusion.
  814. 46:40God would divide their tongues, and God did that.
  815. 46:44God did that.
  816. 46:45And that's why though we worked hard.
  817. 46:47Will has trotted from HSLDA.
  818. 46:49I joke I saw him more than my wife in the last four months.
  819. 46:53We were together a lot, but with all that work
  820. 46:55that was done, it is still the Lord that gave us the victory.
  821. 47:00This should have been a slam dunk.
  822. 47:01It should have been in the blue state that we are,
  823. 47:03and with the radical isn't that we have as well,
  824. 47:07but God showed up.
  825. 47:08And so, while we say yes, we worked hard,
  826. 47:10we give him all the glory and the praise
  827. 47:13for what he did here.
  828. 47:14Now, you know as well as I do,
  829. 47:16that there will be another effort
  830. 47:18to try to push this thing forward,
  831. 47:21and you refer to really, you know,
  832. 47:23the Psalm, the War Horse is made for battle,
  833. 47:24but it's the Lord who brings the salvation, you know.
  834. 47:29What are you expecting and preparing for going forward?
  835. 47:32And how do you plan to approach it then?
  836. 47:34I suspect I have an idea of how you want to do so,
  837. 47:36but I want to invite you to answer that.
  838. 47:38Well, we do expect to come back.
  839. 47:39That doesn't mean it will.
  840. 47:40We're starting to pray in fast already.
  841. 47:42It'll die.
  842. 47:43They'll just, they've had enough of this,
  843. 47:44and they'll just let it go because of how controversial
  844. 47:47build is and how it goes against the will of the people.
  845. 47:50This is a few ideologues who are saying, no,
  846. 47:53we don't care what you want.
  847. 47:54This is what we're going to do.
  848. 47:56And so what we're seeing happen already,
  849. 47:58I mean, this is almost organically.
  850. 48:00There are counties now come out of sanctuary counties.
  851. 48:04We're going to start talking to Lord and Willings
  852. 48:06to some lawyers to see if they will enforce this.
  853. 48:09If it were passed, I would love to see 80, 85% of the counties
  854. 48:12say, we're not going to do this.
  855. 48:14We don't care what bill you pass.
  856. 48:16And I think that would hopefully take some of the teeth
  857. 48:18out of this.
  858. 48:19But that's going to be our next stage.
  859. 48:21What can we do to prepare for next year?
  860. 48:23We are doing it for prayer and with fasting.
  861. 48:26We're also going to start getting our arguments together for what comes around next time.
  862. 48:30They'll have to be some more amendments because they haven't carved enough people out.
  863. 48:34They had tried to carve out a place for the Catholic Prokeal Private Schools, brick and
  864. 48:38mortar, so they got them out, but there was still too much opposition.
  865. 48:43So that's where we're headed to.
  866. 48:44I've got to say this too on the air, that this was not just ICHE and HSLDA.
  867. 48:50It was an ad hoc committee of all different groups as well.
  868. 48:54individuals and numerous individual groups also and it was a true team effort across the board.
  869. 49:00And grassroots, you know, it was people coming. They weren't, you know, high-powered paid lobbyists,
  870. 49:06he's dads and moms and families coming together to really protect themselves,
  871. 49:12protect their family and protect their posterity and their engagement of this day and time.
  872. 49:16Yeah, it was the will of the people. That's all you can say. The people grew up, we are not a deep
  873. 49:21pocketed organization, HSLA, HSLA is not, none of the groups are.
  874. 49:26This is moms and dads giving their fives and tens, fifties and a hundreds,
  875. 49:31spending, taking time off of work, time off of regular school to go to real school at Springfield.
  876. 49:36This is what we call sacrifice and that's what we do and that's what we will continue to do
  877. 49:42until this bill is defeated once and for all.
  878. 49:44Mmm Kirk Smith ladies and gentlemen I see he is the organization the website is I see he
  879. 49:51dot org I encourage you to go check out the website peruse what's available to you there
  880. 49:57if you are in the place and the Lord is drawing you to make a contribution financially to the
  881. 50:03work that I see he is doing and I would invite you to do so and I want to thank you for what
  882. 50:08you've done here as I mentioned earlier stopping this bill here is instrumental in stopping
  883. 50:14it all around the country.
  884. 50:15There are efforts and other places to try to curtail the freedom to disciple our children
  885. 50:20in a home to cultivate their minds, to rear our children, and the nurture and admonition
  886. 50:24of the Lord, the Pidea and the Uthizia of the Lord.
  887. 50:27And I am grateful for your work here.
  888. 50:29And as members of the Body of Christ, I'm looking forward to eternity, brother.
  889. 50:32We are already having a good time.
  890. 50:34It's going to be a party.
  891. 50:35And it's going to be a party.
