  1. 0:00Darkness is not an affirmative force.
  2. 0:03It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light.
  3. 0:07This is the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  4. 0:11It should be uncomfortable for a believer to live as a hypocrite.
  5. 0:15Delivering people out of the bondage of mainstream media.
  6. 0:18And the philosophies of this world.
  7. 0:20God has called you and me to be His ambassador.
  8. 0:24Even in this dark moment.
  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good morning everyone, welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  12. 0:36Abraham Hamilton III is my name and I am joined.
  13. 0:42As usual by the corner contingent right across from me my man a hundred grand Mr. Bobby.
  14. 0:47Ha-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra,
  15. 0:50and in the screening room produced extraordinaire often,
  16. 0:54imitated but never duplicated the real J. Mac.
  17. 0:57Ladies and gentlemen we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition
  18. 1:00of the program at this very moment. Many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition
  19. 1:07from your part-time jobs where you generate an income to your full-time jobs where you cultivate
  20. 1:13an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding
  21. 1:20the primacy that God places on family and refusing to allow the things that transpire
  22. 1:26nationally, internationally, to encroach upon or divert your attention and focus away from
  23. 1:33what must remain central, what must remain primary, all too often we allow the world to
  24. 1:41establish what is our prerogatives, what are our primary time investment, resource investment,
  25. 1:49emotional investment.
  26. 1:50Now I simply want to say that what goes on in your house is far more important than what
  27. 1:55goes on in the White House. We'll never be able to out-church or out-politik deficiencies
  28. 2:01that abound in the home. We're confronted with one of these moments where cognitive dissonance
  29. 2:10can set in with the tragedies, with the tragedy, I should say, of the fires in California. Because
  30. 2:19on one hand, you have, frankly, a worldview. And I want to talk about it in terms of worldview,
  31. 2:26not limited to ideology, but a worldview that produces certain types of results. And the
  32. 2:37question that should be asked is whether or not we are willing to not only assess the results,
  33. 2:45but are we willing to delve down into the mindsets that produce the results? And I'll explain what
  34. 2:50I'm talking about as we get on into the program, but it's very, very important.
  35. 2:56I know I've been talking a lot about how are we going to use and take advantage of the reprieve
  36. 3:00that God has given us.
  37. 3:02And if you want to understand how we've gotten to this place where we are in the United States
  38. 3:06of America, and the simple question, I'm sorry, the simple answer to the question is we've
  39. 3:10decided put our way into it.
  40. 3:13Some of it by affirmative pedagogical offerings, much, much more of it by the combination of neglect
  41. 3:20and apathy and trusting an idolatrous trust for experts.
  42. 3:31And I hope to unpack that when I'm talking about now as we go through the program,
  43. 3:39but I want to go back to the Word of God because you've heard the adage,
  44. 3:43ideas have consequences.
  45. 3:45I've added ideas not only have consequences, bad ideas create casualties.
  46. 3:50And my assessment of that derives directly from the Word of God,
  47. 3:55The Word of God, the Book of Colossians.
  48. 3:57Colossians chapter 2, Paul wrote,
  49. 4:00I'm writing so that you would not be deluded,
  50. 4:02that you would not be beguiled,
  51. 4:04that beguignment unimpeded,
  52. 4:06metastasizing the full-blown captivity in the scripture.
  53. 4:13We have to get back to the basic foundational work
  54. 4:18of cultivating hearts and minds,
  55. 4:22not just hearts and minds.
  56. 4:25How do we think?
  57. 4:26How do we reason?
  58. 4:27Is our rationality based upon God's word?
  59. 4:30Or does it rival?
  60. 4:32Does it rival God's word?
  61. 4:35When we're considering those who hold themselves out,
  62. 4:38or election as servant leaders,
  63. 4:39and I'm stressing that servant leaders,
  64. 4:42we are citizens, and it's important to remember that.
  65. 4:47We are citizens, not subjects.
  66. 4:49We have no monarchs here.
  67. 4:50We are citizens of a constitutional
  68. 4:52Republican Democratic features.
  69. 4:55We have a article for guarantee
  70. 4:57of a Republican form of government, representatives, the people that we place in positions we do
  71. 5:04to serve us.
  72. 5:06Let's never forget that.
  73. 5:09Never.
  74. 5:11Let's go to the Word of God.
  75. 5:12Genesis chapter 1, verses 26 to 28, this is foundational to our existence.
  76. 5:19It's foundational to our function as a society.
  77. 5:23I will remind you of the wisdom of Dr. Renton Rathbun, Director of World View of Bob Jones
  78. 5:28universities provided the best, in my opinion, definition of what a biblical worldview is.
  79. 5:35Dr. Rathman explains that a biblical worldview is God's explanation of his world through his word
  80. 5:43for his image bearers. I'm going to read that again. A biblical worldview is God's explanation
  81. 5:48of his world through his word for his image bearers. God's image bearers then use God's word to interpret
  82. 5:56his world and align ourselves with God's explanation. One of the great travesties of modern American
  83. 6:03society is that we've given access to the levels of societal power in the halls of government,
  84. 6:11but not only in the halls of government, in the halls of academia, that is primary, former,
  85. 6:17primary education, all the way up through university, graduate and postgraduate education.
  86. 6:22We've given access to the whole of influence and entertainment and every sector of our society
  87. 6:32to people who do not adhere to a biblical worldview.
  88. 6:37The consequence of this is that our entire nation has been shaped in a particular direction
  89. 6:44and it's not a good direction.
  90. 6:48When we're considering who we give access to the levers of power in our society, when
  91. 6:53we're considering who we give access to the levers of influence in our society.
  92. 6:57And I'm telling you, influence and powers not limited to government,
  93. 7:00it includes government, but it's not limited to government.
  94. 7:03We need to ask, what is their worldview?
  95. 7:07Their worldview should determine whether or not we are willing to grant them that
  96. 7:11access because God's word says this, Genesis 1, 26th and God said,
  97. 7:20let us make man in our image according to our likeness and let them rule over the
  98. 7:26the fish of the sea over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth.
  99. 7:30And over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
  100. 7:35God created man in his own image.
  101. 7:39In the image of God, he created him male and female.
  102. 7:44He created them, God blessed them, and said to them, be fruitful, multiply, and fill the
  103. 7:50earth and subdue it, and rule or have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds
  104. 7:55of the sky, and of every creeping thing that lives on the earth.
  105. 8:01When we're considering whether or not we grant people access to the halls of power, the levels
  106. 8:06of influence in our society, in a broad sense all the way down to the micro level, we need
  107. 8:13to ask, is this a person who is committed to God's explanation of his world through his
  108. 8:21word for his image bearers because there is no such thing as neutral.
  109. 8:27It's no such thing as neutral with the tragedies that have consumed a portion of our nation
  110. 8:38in California.
  111. 8:42So many people are running climate change, climate change, climate change, climate change.
  112. 8:48And I'm going to get into this as we go into the next segment.
  113. 8:50But fires in Southern California ain't something new.
  114. 8:55We have data that shows that fires inside the California predate the industrial revolution.
  115. 9:05So the alarmism concerning climate, is that really what's going on?
  116. 9:09Or is that something else?
  117. 9:10And I'm going to tell you very plainly, the reason why there's such a prevalent and consistent
  118. 9:16alarmist greed of climate change is because many of the zealots who would use climate as
  119. 9:26another vehicle to administer Marxism, frankly, they want you to stop and say, who me?
  120. 9:31I do it under the tree.
  121. 9:34They don't want you to look and say, wait a minute.
  122. 9:38What are the things that we've adopted
  123. 9:41in terms of decision making that's contributed to this?
  124. 9:45I'm gonna show you some data
  125. 9:47from a meteorological standpoint.
  126. 9:50Thanks to our friends at the Cornwall Alliance,
  127. 9:54Anthony Watts provided an article.
  128. 9:56It's not a surprise that there are fires
  129. 9:59in Southern California.
  130. 10:02So why is something that is historically predictable?
  131. 10:07causing such chaos.
  132. 10:10I'm gonna give you a very short answer.
  133. 10:15You may see my, like an oversimplification,
  134. 10:19but you're not gonna hear this from Gerbil Zinc.
  135. 10:23When man rejects God's explanation of his world,
  136. 10:28we do so to our own detriment.
  137. 10:30Let alone our own demise, our own demise.
  138. 10:37We need to ask ourselves,
  139. 10:39and I was having the conversation with somebody not too long ago.
  140. 10:41I'll never forget this is long before.
  141. 10:43And then and I don't mean any ill
  142. 10:47To this man individually, but I'm a I'm a teller truth about it. I'll never forget when I was in college
  143. 10:53There's some dudes on my floor on my dorm room. They're cracking up laughing watching Tyler Perry VHS
  144. 11:00Recordings, you know some of the youngsters are know what I'm talking about
  145. 11:04You know the things you had to put the devices into the
  146. 11:08The machine you played it and it wasn't or wasn't any movies it was plays
  147. 11:12it was plays in
  148. 11:16and they were laughing and I stood up in the door
  149. 11:19and I said, man, listen, do y'all recognize
  150. 11:21what's going on here?
  151. 11:23They're like, what, hey?
  152. 11:25I said, that's a man, a grown man
  153. 11:27who's dressed up as a woman.
  154. 11:29Now he is putting this confusion in a comedic form
  155. 11:33to make it more pollitable,
  156. 11:34but make no mistake about it,
  157. 11:36his offering is to normalize something the Lord says
  158. 11:41is abominable.
  159. 11:43And of course, y'all can imagine that I was like 17
  160. 11:45at the time and he was like, oh, there they even go
  161. 11:47I'll say listen, I understand and I look, I like to laugh.
  162. 11:51I crack a jokey joke every now and then,
  163. 11:54but I'm not gonna laugh my way into embracing
  164. 11:56a demonic offering.
  165. 11:58So I said listen, y'all, if y'all wanna watch this,
  166. 12:01y'all go watch this, but y'all ain't watching this
  167. 12:03in my room, because it's not funny to me.
  168. 12:07Now this is in the late 90s.
  169. 12:11And look at where we are now.
  170. 12:13Look at where we are now.
  171. 12:14We just had a oral argument in the Supreme Court,
  172. 12:18and they wasn't laughing.
  173. 12:21When the young lady, Strangio took the lectern to argue,
  174. 12:28clearly a woman sounds like a woman,
  175. 12:29but dressed up as a man.
  176. 12:31And making the case, as she said in her CNN interview,
  177. 12:35you know, children as young as two years old,
  178. 12:36no whether or not they're in the wrong bodies.
  179. 12:41We need to ask ourselves before we allow certain messages,
  180. 12:46and I can hear, no, he's just a joke.
  181. 12:48I don't know, look, I like the joke.
  182. 12:51But some somethings are not funny.
  183. 12:55in the laughter was a means to cause widespread acceptance
  184. 13:02for the Lord says it's a denominator.
  185. 13:03We need to ask ourselves a question
  186. 13:05from which view do you convey your ideas?
  187. 13:10Because God has given the mankind
  188. 13:11as I just read to you from Genesis one, verses 26 to 28,
  189. 13:14he has delegated his authority
  190. 13:16to manage his earth to mankind.
  191. 13:18But we have lots of people who have access
  192. 13:20to the levers of power and influence in our society,
  193. 13:23where they instead of worshiping the Creator
  194. 13:25who should forever be praised,
  195. 13:27they are actually worshiping his creation.
  196. 13:31You know, they do things like,
  197. 13:32in order to protect certain fish,
  198. 13:33we're gonna keep people in California from using water
  199. 13:36and ration their water usage
  200. 13:37and make sure we pour it all out in the ocean.
  201. 13:39Somebody explain to me,
  202. 13:41how people who live right next to the Pacific Ocean
  203. 13:44don't have water in their fire hydrants.
  204. 13:46Explain that to me.
  205. 13:48Y'all explain that to me.
  206. 13:49Explain that to me.
  207. 13:51How we in the year of our Lord,
  208. 13:532024 would have a modern city,
  209. 13:55one of the largest in the United States of America.
  210. 14:01And you don't have water in the fire hundreds
  211. 14:04in a place where fire is predictable and man, my heart breaks.
  212. 14:09Y'all know what most of y'all know I'm from New Orleans.
  213. 14:10I lived through Hurricane Katrina.
  214. 14:13To this day, I don't have baby pictures
  215. 14:15because they were all destroyed
  216. 14:17in the flood.
  217. 14:17My heart breaks for people whose lives
  218. 14:20have been upended by this.
  219. 14:22But I wanna say something
  220. 14:24and this is not intended to be provocative.
  221. 14:27The fires in California are tragic.
  222. 14:30But guys, I wanna tell you something.
  223. 14:31They are not unprecedented.
  224. 14:33They are not unprecedented.
  225. 14:36I'ma say it like Dave Ramsey.
  226. 14:37If you can anticipate it happening,
  227. 14:39it should not be considered an emergency.
  228. 14:44But what's happening is we have people
  229. 14:46whose world views are skewed,
  230. 14:51and they be given access to authority
  231. 14:55and responsibility in certain sectors.
  232. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  233. 15:04Here are seven ways to use the Word of God every day.
  234. 15:07Daily we can read it, hear it, believe it, speak it,
  235. 15:12obey it, pray it and meditate on it.
  236. 15:15All of these uses are related,
  237. 15:18but none of them are quite the same.
  238. 15:20You can read the Word of God, but not hear it.
  239. 15:23You can read the Word of God, but not choose to obey it.
  240. 15:26You can believe the Word of God,
  241. 15:28but not choose to pray it, et cetera.
  242. 15:31We'd be wise to strive to use the Word of God
  243. 15:33in our lives in all seven ways daily.
  244. 15:36The written Word of God is a book of faith.
  245. 15:39From Genesis to Revelation,
  246. 15:40we are called to hear, believe, and obey the Word of God.
  247. 15:44If we hear the Word of God but don't obey it,
  248. 15:46we deceive ourselves as James chapter one, verse 22,
  249. 15:50let's us know.
  250. 15:51The Word of God is a book full of truth.
  251. 15:53Your truth is always meant to be learned and applied.
  252. 16:05Shining light into the darkness,
  253. 16:07this is the Hamilton Quarter,
  254. 16:09on American Stanley radio.
  255. 16:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton
  256. 16:13the third year.
  257. 16:15Boys, I'm good questions.
  258. 16:17Fires in the dead of winter.
  259. 16:21Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
  260. 16:23Well, let's get into it since we are already here.
  261. 16:28So a couple, it's just heartbreaking to see what's happening,
  262. 16:38but see what has happened and is still continuing to happen.
  263. 16:48To date, and thanks to an update from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the death toll has now reached at least 24 people.
  264. 16:58At least 16 people are still deemed missing, and the fires, and I'm sure many people know this, but some may not be aware.
  265. 17:09The fires in California is not just one fire, it's four separate fires, but happening all swirling at the same time.
  266. 17:19largest of the fourth, the largest two of the four of the Palisades Fire and Eaton, EATON.
  267. 17:30There also was a warning by the National Weather Service issuing a red flag warnings concerning
  268. 17:38sustained winds through to Wednesday this week that could result in this is a term that I'm
  269. 17:43learning now called spotting where new fires caused by blowing embers could cause some of the places
  270. 17:49that have already been burned to reignite.
  271. 17:54This is a new warning that has been issued.
  272. 17:59The four fires have consumed more than 62 square miles,
  273. 18:05which is an area larger than San Francisco.
  274. 18:08And the last update that I saw is that the Palisades fire
  275. 18:12had only 11% containment.
  276. 18:15The Eaton fire had reached 27% containment.
  277. 18:22Listen to this brief clip. It's clip number two. Listen to and watch clip number two. Go.
  278. 18:32The largest of the raging Los Angeles wildfires shifted direction on Saturday,
  279. 18:38triggering more evacuation orders and posing a new challenge to exhausted firefighters.
  280. 18:44The Palisade incident is now at 21,596 acres and 11% contained.
  281. 18:52The Palisades Fire on the city's western edge was reportedly heading east towards the Brentwood
  282. 18:59neighborhood and San Fernando Valley foothills. It is one of six blazes that have ripped across
  283. 19:04LA County since Tuesday, killing several people and destroying thousands of structures. Together
  284. 19:11with the Eaton Fire in the Pasadena area, the flames have consumed more than 35,000 acres, or 54
  285. 19:19square miles two and a half times the land area of Manhattan.
  286. 19:26That that is just that that is just wild. That is just wild. Now I
  287. 19:37alluded to this, Anthony Watts who wrote this piece as post posted
  288. 19:41at the Cornwall Alliance's website. It just mentions by way of
  289. 19:48historical observation that according to the US Geological
  290. 19:52Survey, the frequency of large wildfires in Southern California
  291. 19:56has remained relatively consistent over the last century.
  292. 19:59Now, I'm not saying what seasons,
  293. 20:02because I would be curious to find out how often fires
  294. 20:09spark and spread in the winter.
  295. 20:12That would be an interesting fact.
  296. 20:15To learn, but the history of recorded wildfires
  297. 20:18since Southern California date back,
  298. 20:20I mean, we have data that date backs to 1878,
  299. 20:26but all of the climate zealots,
  300. 20:29The alarmist are yelling climate change. They don't want you to be aware of that information
  301. 20:35before the phrase climate change was even
  302. 20:38coined we have data of this
  303. 20:42but the things that many
  304. 20:44alarmist don't want to point to is the prevalence or the occurrences of human activity
  305. 20:55Not related to the con the proverbial climate change could have impacted this
  306. 21:00Things like oh, I don't know arson
  307. 21:02poor land management, perhaps a combination of factors, the buildup of dense fire-prone
  308. 21:15vegetation in areas that stem from overgrown landscapes. None of those things have entered
  309. 21:23much of the popular discourse. Another thing, and many people, especially
  310. 21:29Californians who are listening to show you're familiar with the Santa Ana winds, you know,
  311. 21:35which are dry gusty winds that are recurring weather phenomenon caused by high pressure systems
  312. 21:41over the great basin that force hot, dry air down through Southern California's mountain
  313. 21:45passes.
  314. 21:51And one thing that Mr. Mr. Watts wanted to point out was that there needs to be a distinction
  315. 22:02between weather and what's known today or what's described today as so-called climate change,
  316. 22:11weather deals with immediate atmospheric conditions. Alright, land management. Let's talk about it.
  317. 22:23Decades of fire suppression policies, this is Mr. Watts saying, have allowed dry brush,
  318. 22:29dead trees, and dense vegetation to accumulate. And guess what those things create folks? You guessed
  319. 22:34it. A perfect condition for catastrophic fires. The Palisades fire, for instance, was fueled
  320. 22:43by dense vegetation that had built up over years.
  321. 22:47Has anybody talked about this publicly?
  322. 22:55About the buildup of vegetation in palisades?
  323. 23:01Has anybody talked about that?
  324. 23:03And I'm gonna show you something that I found to be odd.
  325. 23:06And I wanna show it to you just because I want you
  326. 23:09to be able to witness it.
  327. 23:12But I'm gonna continue this explanation
  328. 23:13before I get to that.
  329. 23:16You also have construction in areas that are known
  330. 23:20to be prone to fires in those areas.
  331. 23:24And there's a report from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection that indicates
  332. 23:30that poor planning and a lack of defensible space around structures are also key contributors
  333. 23:35to what's happening.
  334. 23:43And as I stated already, the tragedy is certainly tragic, but it's not unprecedented.
  335. 23:54And I believe with everything in me, and I don't even have to say a belief, well I'll
  336. 23:57I'll say it that way because it is a belief.
  337. 23:59I don't know every single person,
  338. 24:01but I believe very strongly that the consistent
  339. 24:04turns to climate change is an intentional distraction
  340. 24:09from the issues because they don't wanna look at land
  341. 24:13management, forest management, historical factors
  342. 24:19and things of that nature.
  343. 24:22Now I saw this and I just thought it was odd.
  344. 24:25This is from a local news report.
  345. 24:29And in Gavin Newsom is talking, the governor of California, and he's talking about a conversation
  346. 24:36he had.
  347. 24:37Now, he introduced this.
  348. 24:38I didn't introduce this.
  349. 24:39He's looking at the conversation he had.
  350. 24:42He's talking about the conversation he had with the governor of Hawaii and discussing the
  351. 24:51notion of speculators coming in to want to purchase property.
  352. 24:57I want you not merely, and this is, this is going to be a challenge for those who are
  353. 25:00listen by radio or just listen to the audio podcast because I want you to look at Gavin
  354. 25:06Newsom's face and his body language as he's speaking.
  355. 25:10And I want you to assess for yourself what you think is going on here.
  356. 25:18Listen to and watch clip number one.
  357. 25:19It's only about 21 seconds.
  358. 25:21Listen to and watch clip number one.
  359. 25:24Go.
  360. 25:25We're dealing with a myriad of issues.
  361. 25:26I'm just talking to Josh Green, the governor of down in Hawaii, you've had some ideas about
  362. 25:32some land use concerns he has around speculators coming in, buying up properties and the like.
  363. 25:39So we're already working with our legal teams to move those things forward and we'll be presenting
  364. 25:43those in a matter of days, not just weeks.
  365. 25:46Now, I know y'all heard the words that he said, but for those of you who are able to watch
  366. 25:55the clip. Why is he rocking like that side to side? Like what grown man in the middle of
  367. 26:00a tragedy like this, when he's discussing the tragedy that has befalled in his state. Right
  368. 26:08now as I'm talking to you over 150,000 people from Los Angeles are in shelter or evacuated,
  369. 26:13I should say. And he's discussing the conversation he had with the governor of Hawaii about speculators
  370. 26:19is coming in to purchase burned out properties.
  371. 26:24The fires are still burning folks.
  372. 26:27And he's rocking, he's rocking side to side.
  373. 26:32What does that tell you?
  374. 26:33And I know a lot of people who respond a lot of different ways,
  375. 26:41especially during difficult circumstances.
  376. 26:47But what is that not a bit odd?
  377. 26:50I wanna play it one more time guys.
  378. 26:51I want you to see this.
  379. 26:53What grown man does this, first of all,
  380. 26:56during the conversation about anything, let alone,
  381. 27:01speculators coming in to buy land.
  382. 27:06What is that?
  383. 27:09Play it one more time.
  384. 27:10Listen to and watch clip number one, go.
  385. 27:12We're dealing with a myriad of issues.
  386. 27:14I'm just talking to Josh Green, the governor of down in Hawaii.
  387. 27:19You've had some ideas about some land use concerns he has
  388. 27:22around speculators coming in, buying up properties and the like.
  389. 27:26So we're already working with our legal teams
  390. 27:28to move those things forward and we'll be presenting those in a matter of days, not just weeks.
  391. 27:33Why is he rocking like that side to side?
  392. 27:38For those who weren't able to watch the clip, as he's discussing the speculars, he's, and
  393. 27:47if you can see me, he starts rocking like this.
  394. 27:53I truly hope that is nothing.
  395. 27:54I hope it's benign.
  396. 27:55I truly hope so.
  397. 28:01But I don't know how to go to a new Selini.
  398. 28:09Does it seem like he was happy?
  399. 28:13Did he seem a bit giddy at the prospect?
  400. 28:18Did it seem like he was?
  401. 28:24Looking forward to the concept or he could have just been nervous. I don't know. I mean did he have to use the restroom?
  402. 28:32I mean, I mean, I don't want to speculate, but that that is quite odd
  403. 28:43That is quite odd and then it's the vall of this that's happening and so you have a
  404. 28:54City located where it's located with the history that it has
  405. 28:59as yet. Decisions are made that allows for dense foliage to collect over years in an area
  406. 29:14that you make decisions policy wise to allow your fire hydrant to have no water. You slash
  407. 29:30the city's fire department's budget. You know, just 17 million a big deal. Man, this,
  408. 29:42And again, I don't want to speculate, but this doesn't sit right with me.
  409. 29:47This does not sit right with me.
  410. 29:53And as we're talking, the fires are raging.
  411. 30:02Ideas have consequences and bad ideas create casualties, folks.
  412. 30:14This is this this.
  413. 30:17And when I'm saying I don't want to speculate, I don't want to speculate as to his motivation,
  414. 30:21but I can tell you that him kind of gleefully rocking back and forth as he as he well, let
  415. 30:32me just say it this way, he's rocking side to side, left to right with the seeming smile
  416. 30:35on his face while he's discussing the concept of speculators entering the state to purchase
  417. 30:40property as the fires rage.
  418. 30:47That's not strange.
  419. 30:52Great question Bobby asks why is he even talking about that?
  420. 30:56Why is he in the midst of everything that's happening?
  421. 30:59Why is that an issue that he's discussing with reporters?
  422. 31:02And you have people who have lost homes and I don't know a lot of people like to focus on
  423. 31:09the celebrity team that live there.
  424. 31:11It's not all celebrities that live in that area.
  425. 31:13You know I was listening to one guy's heartbreaking testimony that he inherited the home from his
  426. 31:17his mom, he's been living there since the 60s.
  427. 31:25I wanna invite you to pray for the people in California,
  428. 31:29those who are, man, I know what it's like
  429. 31:34to start from scratch, from zero.
  430. 31:41I understand that, I have lived that.
  431. 31:49And as we pray for them, I pray that their eyes
  432. 31:52be open to the fact that worldview matters, man.
  433. 31:56Because one of the things that we've seen happen
  434. 31:58in different parts of our country,
  435. 32:00where people would begin to realize the effect of
  436. 32:03wicked ideology, but not the cause for it.
  437. 32:05So you have some Californians who'd leave
  438. 32:08Southern California in particular,
  439. 32:10moved to other places like Florida and Texas,
  440. 32:12but then they come to Florida and Texas
  441. 32:13and want to reenact the same types of policies
  442. 32:15that they had in California.
  443. 32:17And it's like, well, why did you want to leave?
  444. 32:19If you don't want something different,
  445. 32:21and I want to paint with a broad brush
  446. 32:22to some who literally want to leave,
  447. 32:24because they know it's crazy.
  448. 32:26Don't forget that there was a potent effort
  449. 32:28to recall Gavin Newsom that got scuttled, unfortunately,
  450. 32:34when the Constitutionless on the ground got overwhelmed,
  451. 32:38really by national flood,
  452. 32:43and it undercut, undermined their efforts to recall
  453. 32:46Gavin Itto and New Selena.
  454. 32:50It's a heartbreaking tragedy.
  455. 32:52It's heartbreaking.
  456. 32:53A Hamilton Quarter podcast and one-minute commentaries
  457. 33:08are available at aFR.net
  458. 33:10back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  459. 33:15Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham, Hamilton.
  460. 33:17the third here just a reminder February 14th, double date night sponsored by the
  461. 33:23culture proof ministry is gonna be an amazing time my wife Maria Hamilton and I
  462. 33:27will be joining Willamie, Madison for time to celebrate, encourage and buy God's
  463. 33:33grace an effort to strengthen marriages as we have a good time doing so I simply
  464. 33:39go to culture proof dot net to register it's gonna be an amazing time and love to
  465. 33:44You see you there. Now I want to cover something that I mentioned before. I mentioned before.
  466. 33:53Oh, I don't see it on here. That's all right. We warned you this was coming. And now we're
  467. 34:03here. So beginning in July, Minnesota's new standards for effective practice are going
  468. 34:12to take effect. What are those standards for effective practice? Well, these are the new
  469. 34:19requirements for teachers in the state of Minnesota, the entire state that governs all
  470. 34:26licensed teachers of the school and private schools, that in order to receive your license
  471. 34:36or to have it renewed, Minnesota's new standards for effective practice require teachers to
  472. 34:42quote, foster an environment that ensures student identities, including sexual orientation,
  473. 34:49historically and socially contextualized, affirmed, and incorporated into a learning environment
  474. 34:55where students are empowered to learn and contribute as their whole selves."
  475. 35:01To simply translate what the state of Minnesota is requiring, and that will be under its Marxist
  476. 35:07governor Tim Walz, is that you will have to affirm a firm homosexuality and transgenderism
  477. 35:20in order to be licensed, or to have your license renewed in the state.
  478. 35:27Now, this certainly does trigger challenges for some member
  479. 35:31freedoms and things of that nature.
  480. 35:33But I told you before that this was the governor's commitment and these
  481. 35:43standards go into effect this July, this July.
  482. 35:48Thankfully, there are Christian, Christian attorneys who are standing
  483. 35:52the ready to represent Christians in educational system. But it's just it's it's quite galling
  484. 36:01that this is another fight you're going to have to wage in the state of Minnesota. If you intend
  485. 36:12to honor the Lord as you work in the in the vein that he's given you the opportunity to work it's
  486. 36:21It's just, it's just another one.
  487. 36:29And they got another one for you on the way out of the door.
  488. 36:32Mr. Ice Cream Man, Mr. Joseph Robin Ed Biden
  489. 36:35in his administration.
  490. 36:36And they just waited till this past Friday.
  491. 36:41Yes, yes, this past Friday, yes.
  492. 36:46Just a few days before Mr. Trump is inaugurated
  493. 36:49as the 47th president of the United States.
  494. 36:56Mr. Joseph Robin Ed Biden has decided to announce
  495. 36:58and impose the most aggressive sanctions
  496. 37:03to date against Russia.
  497. 37:10And in his words, it's intended to cut off Russia's ability
  498. 37:14to generate funds to advance their war against Ukraine.
  499. 37:17Listen to it, watch this.
  500. 37:20This is something, boy, I tell you.
  501. 37:22It's clip number three, clip number three, go.
  502. 37:25You talked about gas prices coming down.
  503. 37:28You made today's decision about sanctions against Russia.
  504. 37:32Are you concerned that that decision will perhaps lead to gas prices going up?
  505. 37:36And can you explain why those sanctions were imposed today and not earlier in the term?
  506. 37:41The sanctions imposed today because they will have profound effect on the growth of the Russian
  507. 37:47economy and make it more difficult for Putin to conduct his wars.
  508. 37:52It is probable that gas prices could increase as much as three-four cents a gallon, but it's
  509. 37:58going to have a more profound impact on Russia's ability to continue to act in the way it's
  510. 38:02acting in the conduct of war.
  511. 38:04Now, now here is the question.
  512. 38:08What was the question that the reporter asked?
  513. 38:12The reporter asked, why did you wait to do this now?
  514. 38:16Did you notice that?
  515. 38:19And I like that.
  516. 38:20Pastor Carl on live shoot said, yeah, Mr. Ice Cream Man, Master Bee.
  517. 38:24make them say oh that was funny boy y'all are hilarious y'all are hilarious the reporter
  518. 38:35asked him why did you wait to do this now y'all been honest you cray Hung for years
  519. 38:42you haven't done this in the entire chief administration why are you doing this now
  520. 38:48He completely dodge balls that one.
  521. 38:51Oh, even if you're gonna stop Putin's ability to work.
  522. 38:55Dude, you going in three days, seven days, you out of here.
  523. 38:59Seven days, you're out of here.
  524. 39:04And then he says, oh, yeah, it's not gonna affect gas.
  525. 39:06Much is gonna send gas prices up about three or four
  526. 39:08cents per gallon.
  527. 39:10Lie, lie, you're lying pants on fire.
  528. 39:13Open up, yo, that nose fits the growth.
  529. 39:17That is just so, I told you guys,
  530. 39:26that the people that are handling the weekend at Bernie's.
  531. 39:29They are attempting to make things
  532. 39:31as difficult as possible.
  533. 39:35They're trying to spark up as many different things.
  534. 39:41If you are leaving office in seven days,
  535. 39:44why do this?
  536. 39:45You know he can reverse this in seven days,
  537. 39:48but you know what he won't be able to do?
  538. 39:50You know Mr. Trump will be able to rescind
  539. 39:52this executive action in seven days,
  540. 39:54should he choose to do so.
  541. 39:55But you know what he won't be able to do in seven days?
  542. 39:58cause all of the oil and gas speculators
  543. 40:00to rescind their adjustments and their expectations
  544. 40:04and causing the price of oil to increase
  545. 40:07and the cause gas prices domestically to increase.
  546. 40:15Russia has been doing this.
  547. 40:20And I'm not laughing because this is funny.
  548. 40:23I'm laughing because this is plainly obvious.
  549. 40:26And I know, and I'm bringing this to your attention
  550. 40:28because I know they're not gonna be a lot of mainstream
  551. 40:31out in the center that are gonna cover this.
  552. 40:34And they're not going to cover when he's asked directly, okay, you want to do this.
  553. 40:37You're trying to make it more difficult for Russia.
  554. 40:40Why didn't you do this?
  555. 40:42Six months ago, a year ago, two years ago, three years ago.
  556. 40:55This is going to result in an increase in energy costs across the board.
  557. 41:03What is the biggest driver of inflation guys rising energy costs?
  558. 41:08If you are endeavoring to accomplish something,
  559. 41:14sound on the policy front, you simply confer
  560. 41:17with the incoming president, you will be gone in seven days.
  561. 41:26Over the Thanksgiving break, my family and I took a trip.
  562. 41:28We were in Washington, DC.
  563. 41:29We were able to see firsthand the U-Haul trucks
  564. 41:32outside of the White House.
  565. 41:37But I want you to get a clear picture.
  566. 41:40And you know, we can have Bernie's who's calling the shots.
  567. 41:44You know, you determine who you think.
  568. 41:47There's still a mansion five miles from the White House that there still hasn't been a
  569. 41:51reporter who's coming and going from it.
  570. 41:57Boy, boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
  571. 42:04So on his way out of the door, he pulls, he pulls this.
  572. 42:08It's sad.
  573. 42:13It's sad.
  574. 42:16Another update on the Lake and Riley Act.
  575. 42:17I reported on this before it passed the House of Representatives.
  576. 42:20I was, it's made its way over to the Senate.
  577. 42:22We talked about the necessity of having several Democrats to join the Republican voting block
  578. 42:31in the Senate in order to pass the legislation.
  579. 42:33I told you the bill, one of the most potent components of it that's not necessarily a headline
  580. 42:40grabber is that the bill gives states the authority to directly sue federal officials who
  581. 42:46refuse to enforce federal immigration law.
  582. 42:49That's a big deal.
  583. 42:50That's a big deal. In addition to requiring the detention of illegal aliens who are
  584. 42:57detained upon suspicion of theft or burglary, things of that nature, I don't know why they limited
  585. 43:04to those crimes. I understand the politics of it, but anyway, I think the lawful authority to
  586. 43:12directly take action against federal officials who refuse and force immigration law, federal
  587. 43:18immigration law is a big, big enough deal to support the measure.
  588. 43:25But the U.S. Senate voted to invoke cloture.
  589. 43:28What that is is a vote to overcome the filibuster hurdle and get to be able to debate the bill
  590. 43:35on the merits, which also gives the indication that the bill will be voted on the floor of
  591. 43:41the U.S. Senate.
  592. 43:42And interestingly enough, the vote to invoke cloture on the bill passed 84 to 9, well over
  593. 43:55the 60 vote threshold.
  594. 43:58So this was a procedural vote.
  595. 44:01But in many, many ways and many times, and this is why you have to pay attention to the
  596. 44:04Senate, man, because you have a bunch of people who would vote against invoking cloture, meaning
  597. 44:09they would, their vote is to allow the filibuster to keep the bill from coming to the floor
  598. 44:13on the merits and they were fused a lot of people to come to the floor in the
  599. 44:18merits and then they'll go home and tell like a situation as you I supported that
  600. 44:21bill but it died in the process what they don't reveal is that yeah they voted
  601. 44:27to oppose the invocation of cloture they never got to vote on the bill in the
  602. 44:31merits because they voted against voting on the bill on the merits so then they
  603. 44:34get through the rock and hide their hand you'll say see that we never got to
  604. 44:37vote that that bill never made it to the floor but it did make it to the floor
  605. 44:41because you wanted people to prevent it from coming to the floor but you go
  606. 44:44and tell your people, yeah, you know, I supported a measure, but a diet in the process, plain
  607. 44:50old lying. It is an encouraging step. However, that the Lincoln-Riley act has passed this procedural
  608. 45:01hurdle and I will pay attention to what's happening with it in the Senate and I will
  609. 45:06report back to you as to what's going on because it's vitally important that we have
  610. 45:13have things like this that are passed with bipartisan support.
  611. 45:22The American people are sick and tired of partisanship, crushing sound things.
  612. 45:29And for the most part, frankly, I want to keep government out of the way.
  613. 45:34Stay out of the way.
  614. 45:37And the things that are necessary, let's make those things happen.
  615. 45:42Coming full circle to the conversation we started the program with, the necessity of making sure
  616. 45:46So we understand the worldview of those we grant access to levels of power and influence
  617. 45:52in our society, not just in the general sense, but even to influence us, our homes, our families,
  618. 45:58our children.
  619. 46:00We need to assess their worldview in terms of our body politic.
  620. 46:07Our body politic, as John Adams said, that our constitutional form of government, the
  621. 46:12U.S. Constitution is only adequate for the governance of a religious and moral people.
  622. 46:19So John Adams said he said it's wholly inadequate for the governance of any other.
  623. 46:24So when you see these worldview clashes, it is people who are attempting to rest what
  624. 46:32our nation is, what has been founded upon and to move it away from that founding into something
  625. 46:36else because our system of government requires a people who are self-governing.
  626. 46:46You know, I've said it before and I'll say it again, George Washington said the exact
  627. 46:51same thing in his farewell address to the exact same thing. Religion and morality are indispensable
  628. 46:58supports. In vain with that man claim the virtue of patriotism who would work to subvert those
  629. 47:06supports. He said a lot of other things that are good for America, but he said these two things
  630. 47:11are indispensable. The expectation, even when Benjamin Franklin has asked what if he brought
  631. 47:18old Benjamin leaving Independence Hall in Philadelphia, a republic, if you can keep it,
  632. 47:23the keeping of our republic is not merely about preserving the Bill of Rights, not merely about
  633. 47:29preserving constitutional freedoms. It is about the propagation of a populace that is
  634. 47:36meet for the constitutional freedom. That is the component that doesn't take place in Washington,
  635. 47:47D.C. It doesn't take place in the state legislature. So that takes place in the highways and byways
  636. 47:55and in the homes of our Republic.
  637. 48:00If we are going to take full advantage of this reprieve,
  638. 48:02it has to start at home, shaping the minds and hearts
  639. 48:07of the populace that will embrace servant leaders
  640. 48:11who understand that a biblical worldview
  641. 48:15is God's view of his world.
  642. 48:18And the last thing I'm gonna say in this point,
  643. 48:21before you attempt to become despondent is don't reject
  644. 48:25or minimize the potency of prayer.
  645. 48:31The effectual and fervent prayer avails much.
  646. 48:39The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the American
  647. 48:44Family Association or American Family Radio.
