  5. 0:15Delivery people out of the bondage of mainstream media.
  6. 0:18And the philosophies of this world.
  7. 0:21God has called you and me to be his ambassador.
  8. 0:24Even in this dark moment.
  9. 0:27Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:29And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  12. 0:35My name is Abraham Hamilton, the third I am host,
  13. 0:39the host of the program.
  14. 0:40So glad you have joined us this evening.
  15. 0:43I am joined, as is our custom here,
  16. 0:47by the corner contingent right across from me.
  17. 0:49My man, 100 grand.
  18. 0:56My man, 100 grand Mr. Bobby Rosa is behind the board,
  19. 0:57manning the station there and in the screening room produced
  20. 1:00extraordinaire often imitate and never duplicate it y'all know
  21. 1:04what it is to real J Mac ladies and gentlemen and we are ready to rock and roll with today's
  22. 1:09edition of the really good Bob Bobby don't be messing I don't be best Bobby's trying to bait me
  23. 1:17it was so grateful you've tuned into the program at this very moment many of you if not most of
  24. 1:21you are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time
  25. 1:27jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to make your move
  26. 1:33with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on the family. It is vitally important
  27. 1:39that we understand that what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in
  28. 1:45the White House. I say that not to denigrate the things that transpire at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,
  29. 1:50but simply to convey to you and remind myself that we have work to do, that we have the capacity
  30. 1:57truly to shape nations and to invest in eternity.
  31. 2:02Wow, wow, wow, what's that mockery is going on here?
  32. 2:06Invest in eternity starting right at our starting right in our own homes.
  33. 2:12We will never be able to out politic.
  34. 2:14We will never be able to out church, frankly, the deficiencies that are prevalent
  35. 2:18and abounding in our homes.
  36. 2:20We want to see things transformed at a national level.
  37. 2:25We'll never get there unless.
  38. 2:27We focus in on our homes.
  39. 2:31It is critical that we understand that.
  40. 2:36What happens in your house is what you are accountable for.
  41. 2:39What happens in my house?
  42. 2:41What happens in my home is what I am accountable for.
  43. 2:45So as you are making your transition,
  44. 2:46understand the primacy that God places on family.
  45. 2:49It is the first human institution
  46. 2:51that God established with marriage at the center.
  47. 2:54It's instructive for us that the only human institution
  48. 2:56recorded in scripture that God allows to be illustrative,
  49. 3:00described as the illustrative of Christ's relationship with
  50. 3:03his bride is the marital union.
  51. 3:07It's the center of the family.
  52. 3:10It's not to ignore the fact that we have all kinds of varied
  53. 3:13life stages and familial circumstances.
  54. 3:16But the truth remains to be the truth.
  55. 3:18And I also will add that we have to resist this temptation
  56. 3:22because humankind is known for falling short of God's standards.
  57. 3:25and we all of a sudden amends God's standards.
  58. 3:28No, no, no, no.
  59. 3:29No matter how much we fall short of God's standards,
  60. 3:31God's standards remain His standards.
  61. 3:34It is our honor and privilege to ascribe to,
  62. 3:38to submit to and grow in the direction
  63. 3:40of what God has standardized.
  64. 3:44It's vitally, vitally important.
  65. 3:46To the Word of God, we go every day on this program,
  66. 3:48we start the show by turning to the Word of God.
  67. 3:51And I mentioned what I said about full-time job
  68. 3:53versus part-time job.
  69. 3:55Because we need a mind recalibration.
  70. 3:57I know I work, you 40 hour work, that's a full time job.
  71. 4:01What you do to generate revenue is only a part of who you are.
  72. 4:04It's not synonymous with your identity nor is it your enduring mandate.
  73. 4:09It's important sure.
  74. 4:10It's a feature of what you do sure, but it's not synonymous with who you are.
  75. 4:13Our full time jobs require a commitment that exceeds the income generating function.
  76. 4:20Each day when we start this program, we start with the word of God.
  77. 4:23is for one simple reason.
  78. 4:25Before we navigate the issues of the day,
  79. 4:27we need to make sure that our hearts and minds
  80. 4:30are lined out according to God's holy word,
  81. 4:34the word of God, he described it as being a light
  82. 4:38into our feet and a lamp unto our past.
  83. 4:41So we must refuse to set God's word aside
  84. 4:45as we navigate the issues of the day.
  85. 4:46No, no, no, no.
  86. 4:47We make God's word central to who we are.
  87. 4:51and we utilize God's word to navigate the issues of the day.
  88. 4:54Today we're gonna begin in Ephesians chapter three,
  89. 4:58Ephesians chapter three, verses 14 through 21.
  90. 5:01And I intend to punctuate this time with a verse
  91. 5:05that is very commonly cited and even quoted,
  92. 5:10but usually it's cited and quoted outside of the context
  93. 5:13that God has given it to us within.
  94. 5:16Ephesians chapter three, verses 14 through 21.
  95. 5:19I'm gonna read it first,
  96. 5:20we're going to delve into it on packet a little bit for this reason,
  97. 5:24first 14 for this reason, I bow my knees before the Father,
  98. 5:30from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
  99. 5:35that he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened
  100. 5:40with power through his spirit in the inner man.
  101. 5:46So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith in that
  102. 5:51you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints.
  103. 5:59What is the breath and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ,
  104. 6:07which surpasses knowledge that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God?
  105. 6:13Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or
  106. 6:23think according to the power that works within us. To Him be the glory in the
  107. 6:31church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Now
  108. 6:43this is a portion of Paul's Epistle to the church at Ephesus. You guys have heard
  109. 6:47and we described it before Ephesus is a real city in the modern day area where Turkey is
  110. 6:52today.
  111. 6:53And Paul is writing and he writes for this reason, I buy my knees before the father, that's in
  112. 6:58reference to all of the things that precede verse 14 in Ephesus chapter 3.
  113. 7:04But then he goes on to say from whom every family and heaven and all that is derived its
  114. 7:08name that he would grant to you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened
  115. 7:15with power through his spirit in the inner man.
  116. 7:18In the inner man.
  117. 7:21It is extremely important that we understand
  118. 7:28that Christ is far more concerned with who we are
  119. 7:30than what we do.
  120. 7:31What do I mean by that?
  121. 7:32It doesn't mean he's not concerned with what we do,
  122. 7:34but he knows that what we do outside
  123. 7:37is a downstream fruit production based on
  124. 7:39what is at root within us.
  125. 7:42When we are strengthened in our inner man,
  126. 7:44that inner strength will inevitably be
  127. 7:48displayed externally. The strengthening in the inner man is what empowers you to be an
  128. 7:53overcomer when there's no tangible audience around. When the real you is present, when there's
  129. 7:59nobody outside looking, the real you is evident when there's no external tangible stimuli strengthened
  130. 8:10in the inner man. Christ came not merely to conform conduct because you can train a dog
  131. 8:18to salivate on cue. That's what Pav lost experience for all about. The proper stimuli
  132. 8:23give a treat, popular stimuli give a treat, stimuli, dog salivates, why? Anticipate and
  133. 8:27treat. You can modify behavior, but Christ came to transform us at our heart level. To
  134. 8:32where our conduct is simply the external evidence of having been transformed internally, to where
  135. 8:37not only is our conduct modified, but our desires have been transformed. The things that we
  136. 8:42yearn for, the things that we desire. To where not only is our speech conformed to Christ's
  137. 8:47but our thoughts are conformed.
  138. 8:51Then the Apostle Paul goes on and explains why his prayer is such that
  139. 8:58that we will be strengthened by the Spirit of God in their inner man,
  140. 9:01verse 17, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,
  141. 9:05and that being rooted in grounded in love, and this is where we get
  142. 9:08stick in verse 18, being rooted in grounded in love that you, the believer,
  143. 9:12that I, a member of God's bride, a member of the body of Christ,
  144. 9:15may be able to comprehend that we may be able to comprehend
  145. 9:20not just individually, but with all the saints.
  146. 9:24What is the breath and the length and the height
  147. 9:28and the depths of our inheritance in Christ?
  148. 9:31Paul presenting this by the Spirit of God communicates
  149. 9:33something that as is pleased that we may be able
  150. 9:36to comprehend is presented in this way
  151. 9:38because the possibility exists,
  152. 9:40that you may profess to be in Christ,
  153. 9:43but still lack the comprehension of what that means.
  154. 9:48God knows when he saves us,
  155. 9:49we're all at various stages of growth
  156. 9:51and development and revelation, things of that nature.
  157. 9:55But the Lord's desire is for us to comprehend the breath
  158. 9:59and the width and the depth and the height of his inheritance in us
  159. 10:04and that we may know that we may have an intimate, tangible,
  160. 10:08relationship-anchored knowledge of the love of Christ
  161. 10:13which transcends our human capacity for rationality.
  162. 10:19In verse 19, this guys is all the context
  163. 10:22over when we get to in verse 20.
  164. 10:24In verse 19 is what I have presented for myself
  165. 10:27and my family, and we're even discussing in our local church
  166. 10:30what we should aspire towards.
  167. 10:35And to know the love of Christ,
  168. 10:37which surpasses knowledge,
  169. 10:38that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
  170. 10:43This work, this sanctifying work of Christ is something that is going to continue until Jesus returns you until He calls us home.
  171. 10:53But Paul's plea is for every believer to understand and aspire to war and pursue to be filled up with all the fullness of God that is available to us on this side of eternity.
  172. 11:06Everything that is available to us, we should pursue.
  173. 11:09And just when you thought that that was a humanistic endeavor, look at verse 20.
  174. 11:14Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly and beyond all that we ask or think according
  175. 11:25to the power at work within us.
  176. 11:29Many times you've heard this verse quoted unto Him who was able to exceedingly and abundantly
  177. 11:33and above all that we can ask or think or even imagine how often do people connect that verse
  178. 11:39with the immediate verse that proceeds into verse 19.
  179. 11:42You see, the exceedingly and the abundantly, it has a context that God has given to us.
  180. 11:48And that context is that God's exceedingly and abundantly power is available to us for
  181. 11:55verse 19, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
  182. 12:00I understand that you can apply verse 20 in many different ways, but God has given it to
  183. 12:05us in a particular context for a reason, that we should one recognize that pursuing the fullness
  184. 12:12of God should be on the tip of the tongue and top of the mind for every believer.
  185. 12:18And to recognize that it is not something we pursue as a humanistic, self-willed endeavor,
  186. 12:23but it is something that all of the potency of heaven is available.
  187. 12:28The creator of heaven and earth, the sustainer of heaven and earth has made himself available
  188. 12:34for us to recognize that we should aspire, that we may be filled up to all the fullness
  189. 12:41of God.
  190. 12:43Now to Him who was able to do far more abundantly,
  191. 12:47beyond all that we ask or think,
  192. 12:51according to the power that works within us,
  193. 12:55to Him be the glory in the church,
  194. 12:59and in Christ Jesus to all generations,
  195. 13:02forever and ever, amen.
  196. 13:06Brothers and sisters, this is a worthy pursuit.
  197. 13:09This is an appropriate pursuit.
  198. 13:10This is a proper hungering and thirsting and yearning.
  199. 13:15Lord, fill me up to the fullness, Lord.
  200. 13:20Fill me up to the fullness of you, Lord,
  201. 13:24that I may be filled up to the fullness of you.
  202. 13:26And it's not contingent upon me,
  203. 13:28but unto you who are able to do far more abundantly,
  204. 13:32beyond all that we ask or think,
  205. 13:34now God knows that we as human beings,
  206. 13:36we can be very creative.
  207. 13:38We can be very imaginative.
  208. 13:40And the Lord is reminding us that his power exceeds
  209. 13:43our creative capacities and his power is available to walk us,
  210. 13:48to draw us, to lead us to where the fullness of God
  211. 13:54becomes the saturating point of our lives,
  212. 13:57to where there's no greater desire,
  213. 13:59to where there's no greater fulfillment,
  214. 14:01to where we live as though Jesus Christ truly is the prize
  215. 14:04because he is the prize.
  216. 14:07That we recognize there is no such thing as heaven
  217. 14:09without the tangible presence of Christ Jesus.
  218. 14:13And it is he who not only called us
  219. 14:15and anchored us with the blessed hope,
  220. 14:17blessed hope of eternal living,
  221. 14:19but he's also given us access so that our life
  222. 14:22on this side of eternity,
  223. 14:24now notice this is for the believer,
  224. 14:25that our lives on this side of eternity
  225. 14:27can be lives that are directed toward the fullness of God
  226. 14:32that is available to us as believers.
  227. 14:35We don't evaluate ourselves horizontally
  228. 14:37by comparing ourselves to other people.
  229. 14:39I don't look at Bobby and say based on Bobby's example,
  230. 14:41I am ducking so, no, no, no, no.
  231. 14:43We recognize that we live before the audience of one.
  232. 14:47But we also recognize that all the fullness
  233. 14:50of God is an appropriate pursuit
  234. 14:52because it's not based on us.
  235. 14:54It's unto him who is able to do far more abundantly
  236. 14:56beyond what we can ask or think.
  237. 15:01A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  238. 15:05What if a person says they don't want to be involved
  239. 15:07in spiritual warfare?
  240. 15:09And what if a given person says they don't want
  241. 15:11to have anything to do with spiritual warfare?
  242. 15:14Tragically, none of us have a choice in the matter.
  243. 15:17War has come to us, like it or not.
  244. 15:20Since we have no choice but to face spiritual warfare
  245. 15:23in our lives, this is our choice.
  246. 15:26We can live like civilians and just become victims
  247. 15:28of the killing, abuse and problems
  248. 15:31and difficulties of war, or we can choose
  249. 15:34to become well equipped soldiers and warriors,
  250. 15:37skilled and trained for war and spiritual warfare.
  251. 15:41The most powerful weapon in the world is the word of God.
  252. 15:46Here are seven ways to use the word of God every day.
  253. 15:50Daily we can read it, hear it, believe it, speak it,
  254. 15:55obey it, pray it and meditate on it.
  255. 16:06Shiting light into the darkness,
  256. 16:08this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  257. 16:12Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner.
  258. 16:14We got them all?
  259. 16:16Okay, well, I'll just go ahead and do the intros anyway
  260. 16:19because we're expecting to have on my people.
  261. 16:23The guests, plural you heard me right,
  262. 16:29that I'm planning to have on,
  263. 16:30we're working on making sure they get on to the program.
  264. 16:32So they might not hear this illustrative.
  265. 16:34It's illustrious, I should say, intro that I'm gonna give.
  266. 16:37But I know a lot of you guys know
  267. 16:38about their public facing ministry,
  268. 16:40but I'm gonna start way back and again.
  269. 16:43Two people who I know as long time Christ followers,
  270. 16:46committed Christ followers who dedicated themselves
  271. 16:49to serving the Lord at a very young age,
  272. 16:52They actually met as they committed themselves to the Lord's ministry by being
  273. 16:56a mint missionaries on secular college campuses.
  274. 17:00The Lord then moved them as they enter into Holy Matrimony.
  275. 17:04They are the parents of six amazing children who I know very well.
  276. 17:09They are a homeschooling couple, primarily because the commitment is not to homeschooling,
  277. 17:14but the commitment is to rewining the children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord
  278. 17:17and discipling their children through the home is a contribution to that ultimate objective
  279. 17:23that frankly is a mandate from God for all Christian parents.
  280. 17:27They had been in broadcast ministry for over 15 years and now they've launched a ministry
  281. 17:36of their own called Culture Proof.
  282. 17:38My guests, well I'm planning to have on as soon as technology cooperates are there all,
  283. 17:44none other than Mr. and Mrs. Addison. That would be Will and Miki Addison, co-founders of the
  284. 17:50Culture Proof Ministry, which is a ministry that I am so grateful to God that he and his
  285. 17:56divine providence has sought fit to bring to the fore in this day and age. And one of the
  286. 18:02things that I love most about, and I should have added these are my friends, from my hometown
  287. 18:08in New Orleans, Louisiana, is that they are committed to aiding the body of Christ, to increase
  288. 18:15in discernment so that we may resist, and here's the key, culturally normative rebellion,
  289. 18:25culturally normative rebellion, not just rebellion in the general sense, but the rebellion
  290. 18:32that, if you're not intentional, it could become your default posture.
  291. 18:38I guess our Will and Mickey Addison.
  292. 18:40Are they on?
  293. 18:41I can't hear.
  294. 18:42They're on.
  295. 18:43Will and Mickey, welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  296. 18:45Hey, we're here.
  297. 18:46We're here.
  298. 18:47Thank you so much, man.
  299. 18:48We appreciate you having us on.
  300. 18:50Oh, man.
  301. 18:51I am excited to have you guys on.
  302. 18:54And y'all know me.
  303. 18:55So y'all know I'm telling the truth.
  304. 18:56But I meant every single word.
  305. 18:58I meant every single word that I said,
  306. 19:00because the reality of culturally normative rebellion
  307. 19:05is a pernicious and insidious enemy.
  308. 19:07And I've been talking first in the first segment,
  309. 19:10I was talking about Ephesians chapter three
  310. 19:12and how the scriptures often quoted verse 20,
  311. 19:15he could exceedingly and abundantly and above all,
  312. 19:18we can ask, think we don't recognize
  313. 19:20that verse 19 precedes it.
  314. 19:22And it's actually talking about the believer
  315. 19:24aspiring to all the fullness of godliness
  316. 19:26and not just some type of materialistic acquisition
  317. 19:29or some utilitarian function that God can accomplish,
  318. 19:33but he's talking about his power being available
  319. 19:36to make us who are dirt mounds into his children and for us to reflect his glory.
  320. 19:43And so I know that that is the core of what you all seek to do when you consider the concept
  321. 19:50or the notion of culturally normative rebellion.
  322. 19:53I'll start with Miki on this one.
  323. 19:55Why does that draw why is it vitally necessary for us to train our focus there and not allow
  324. 20:02it to seep into our makeup as believers in 21st century American particular?
  325. 20:05That's a great place to start because we are constantly tempted to create new rulers
  326. 20:13when it comes to measuring ourselves, to see how well we're doing, even as Christians.
  327. 20:19We're tempted to create new rulers and often what we'll do is we'll start with a cultural
  328. 20:23context that we're in and we kind of do the thing that the Holy Spirit said through the
  329. 20:29Apostle Paul that is unwise.
  330. 20:31We compare ourselves among ourselves, right?
  331. 20:33So we're looking kind of horizontally to see how we're doing.
  332. 20:38Am I living a good life?
  333. 20:39Am I doing those things that are pleasing to God?
  334. 20:42And the problem with that is that as the culture declines, as we sink into this, this
  335. 20:48almost is a bit where we are just overrun with rampant sin inside the context of the
  336. 20:54church and certainly in the world, when we start to look at what is culturally normative
  337. 20:59and then we allow that to be our ruler and say, well, I just want to be a little bit
  338. 21:03better than that or well maybe that's okay because everyone is doing it then what happens is we
  339. 21:09start to compromise that which was once and for all handed down to us and that's the gospel we
  340. 21:14have one faith and so what we seek to do is call Christian's attention to what God's word says
  341. 21:22God's word has spoken with finality and with authority on everything that pertains to life
  342. 21:28and Godliness. So if we want to know how to live in 21st century America, then we must return to the
  343. 21:34authority of God's word and not look horizontally to see what our culture is doing. In many cases,
  344. 21:39what we'll actually find is that we should resist what we see happening in our culture today.
  345. 21:44So very well said, and you guys have been consistent before the world got to know you,
  346. 21:52even before you had any access to a broadcasting
  347. 21:57as a component of the ministry that God has called you to.
  348. 22:00But will I wanna direct this question
  349. 22:01in your way and direct this question to you
  350. 22:04because one of the things that you guys consistently
  351. 22:07in your ministry, and let me just say you can find
  352. 22:09the Culture Proof Podcast, which is available
  353. 22:11everywhere you can get podcasts.
  354. 22:13I encourage you to go to the website
  355. 22:15and I'm gonna ask Jeff to make sure
  356. 22:16this is in the show notes, cultureproof.net.
  357. 22:19I know you guys do an annual conference
  358. 22:21directed towards family, the whole family.
  359. 22:23I'm saying you guys, I'm a part of it.
  360. 22:24So we do.
  361. 22:25I'm not gonna ask you.
  362. 22:27Annually, but the question I wanna dirk towards you will is
  363. 22:31the role that we as fathers have in aiding our families
  364. 22:37and frankly society at large for the believer
  365. 22:40to resist culturally normalized
  366. 22:42and culturally normalizing rebellion.
  367. 22:47Yeah, definitely God has set us as men, as husbands,
  368. 22:51you know, as the head of our homes to be able to see what's going on and to protect our families, you know, from those things.
  369. 22:58So I liken it to being a point guard, you know, as a father.
  370. 23:04So the point guard gets the direction, it gets the direction from the coach, you know, and then he makes sure that the plays are run on the court.
  371. 23:11And so you have these other skilled players. I see that as family, you know, you have your, you're shooting guard, you have your, your forward, you have your center.
  372. 23:19And so the point guard is getting the ball to the other players in the position where they can score.
  373. 23:24And so we as fathers, seeing ourselves in that way, we want to set up our children,
  374. 23:30we want to set up our wives to be able to do what God desires for them to do.
  375. 23:35So nurturing the gifts and the talents and the abilities that he's given them.
  376. 23:40You know, the point guard also has to read the defense.
  377. 23:43So as fathers, we read the defense.
  378. 23:45as we know that the enemy has tricks and schemes
  379. 23:48and things like that.
  380. 23:49And so we are aware of what he's doing.
  381. 23:52And we are calling our offense to be able to combat
  382. 23:56what he's doing as well.
  383. 23:58And so as far as we have a real heavy job
  384. 24:01and it does not matter the personality,
  385. 24:04but God has set this as the order that he desires.
  386. 24:07Amen.
  387. 24:08And I want to present this question to both of you.
  388. 24:11I want to invite Will again to jump in first
  389. 24:13and then you add to this question,
  390. 24:16because so often this is near and dear to my heart,
  391. 24:20and most importantly is near and dear to the Lord's heart.
  392. 24:22There are things that God has said in scripture
  393. 24:24specifically assigning them to men to do, you know?
  394. 24:28Spiritual disciplines and other things,
  395. 24:30even coming down to the training
  396. 24:33and the nurturing of children.
  397. 24:35Ephesians 6, 4 is very specific in saying,
  398. 24:37fathers do not exessurate your children,
  399. 24:39rather rear them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
  400. 24:41but so much of quote unquote church life,
  401. 24:44or if you wanna say it, church life in America
  402. 24:46is kinda seated the function of spirituality
  403. 24:51to our wives, to our women and to moms.
  404. 24:55Will, what's going on, man?
  405. 24:56What's going on with that?
  406. 24:58Yeah, I think you have a few things going on.
  407. 25:00So when you have the culture dictating
  408. 25:04to the church, how things should be.
  409. 25:06So if in the culture, it's saying,
  410. 25:08well, women are leading the way,
  411. 25:09and they're the ones that's doing this work and that work.
  412. 25:12And men, you can kind of hang back and just go along.
  413. 25:15Then if you're following that,
  414. 25:17that's what's gonna happen in your home as well,
  415. 25:19rather than following the word of God.
  416. 25:21And I think we have to man our positions as men.
  417. 25:25And it doesn't mean that we step on our wives
  418. 25:27or that we dismiss them.
  419. 25:29Man, we're working together for God's purpose.
  420. 25:32And so again, God has given the man,
  421. 25:36just the mission for the wife to be able to submit to.
  422. 25:42You always say this without a mission,
  423. 25:45how can we ask the submission if there's no mission?
  424. 25:49And so we get that from God and we give that to our families
  425. 25:53and our families are running that way.
  426. 25:56So I think the thing is we have to just get back
  427. 25:58to the scriptures, to what the Bible says.
  428. 26:01And if we follow the word of God, we understand our role
  429. 26:05and we understand our place.
  430. 26:06me keep it yet i get it
  431. 26:09yeah i agree with that i was thinking you know just recently we were discussing
  432. 26:13on our podcast and and i personally i'm reading to the book of daniel and so
  433. 26:16there's some things that
  434. 26:18kind of become glaring you think about antiquity you think about
  435. 26:21how uh... you know
  436. 26:23nations were conquered and how
  437. 26:25king's you know uh...
  438. 26:28over-took nation's and and and taking those
  439. 26:31who would be their captain and you think of the ones who are gonna serve in the
  440. 26:35Kings court and what we know is that, you know, those who are going to serve closest to the
  441. 26:40king, they were usually made eunuch.
  442. 26:42So they were usually emaculated so that they would not be a threat to the king, but that
  443. 26:46they would serve it as be hest.
  444. 26:48And I look at our culture in very much the same way.
  445. 26:51Our culture functions by emaculating men.
  446. 26:54So we have these cultural eunuchs of our day.
  447. 26:56They are the ones who have abdicated the role of leader in the home.
  448. 27:01They've abdicated the role of leader even in the culture.
  449. 27:04I'm not too interested in what people have to say about whether or not masculinity is
  450. 27:10toxic.
  451. 27:11What I'm saying is that God has a design and he has an order.
  452. 27:14And one of the things that I like to encourage wise and I like to encourage women in his
  453. 27:18understanding that submission is a choice.
  454. 27:21That it is not something that you say, well my husband would never make me.
  455. 27:25Well the thing is do we fear God and do we have a reverence for his word?
  456. 27:30we have a reverence for the word of God, then it's our joy and it's our delight to both honor
  457. 27:36God and honor our husbands and painting a picture of what it looks like to be in God's kingdom.
  458. 27:42And so, yeah, when we start talking about masculinity, one of the things that I feel like we are
  459. 27:47witnessing in our culture is a new form of, you know, creating a cultural eunuch. And if
  460. 27:53you imagine or almost personify the culture as that king,
  461. 27:58then it's necessary for the men to be soft.
  462. 28:02It's necessary for the men to not understand their positions
  463. 28:05and not lead.
  464. 28:06Mm, that is so true and it's so profound.
  465. 28:10And I just want to remind everyone, you can listen,
  466. 28:12I urge you to listen to the Culture Proof podcast,
  467. 28:17visit their website, culturalproof.net,
  468. 28:20because Miki, what you said is so profound.
  469. 28:22And one of the things that I love about YouTube and that we share is the commitment to Scripture.
  470. 28:28And we're having the conversation we're having now in light of the necessity of resisting culturally
  471. 28:33normative rebellion.
  472. 28:34We're already talking about one area, as you pointed out, Miki described it as the cultural
  473. 28:38eunuch, making men into cultural eunuchs.
  474. 28:42What are some examples?
  475. 28:43You can include this one or add to it, if you will, Miki, of areas where the culture seeks
  476. 28:48to normalize a comfortable rebellion.
  477. 28:51Yeah, I think in the structure of family. I think in the removal of men from our homes and calling that success
  478. 29:01I don't see anywhere in the context of scripture where God ever called for men as of like, you know
  479. 29:10just it's automatic that men would leave their families and
  480. 29:15And advocate their role as leader. I mean you say it so well, right?
  481. 29:18He talked about what your full-time job is and the reason that resonates with people is because it has been taken from us, right?
  482. 29:27It's it's not something that's normal in the church. So when we hear it, we're like wait a minute
  483. 29:32That is true. And so that's become a normalized rebellion against God's stated order that he's made
  484. 29:39fathers to be the heads of their household. There's a certain amount of
  485. 29:42of temperature checking that has to be done by dads
  486. 29:46that in the current cultural context,
  487. 29:49it can't happen because dads just don't know
  488. 29:51what's going on at home.
  489. 29:53And when dads don't know what's going on at home,
  490. 29:56they don't step in because they feel like
  491. 29:58it's none of their business.
  492. 29:59And so then the enemy swoops in and he upsets
  493. 30:02God's design for family.
  494. 30:04And so that's just one, I mean, just off the top of my head,
  495. 30:06but there are many.
  496. 30:07Also you think about who kids are following,
  497. 30:09where the greatest influencers are,
  498. 30:12who has the lion's share of time
  499. 30:14in the lives of our children.
  500. 30:16And honestly, it's not the parent.
  501. 30:19So well said.
  502. 30:20Will, what are some of the areas that stick out to you
  503. 30:22in addition to what we've already discussed,
  504. 30:25but where culture seeks to normalize rebellion
  505. 30:28against God's Word?
  506. 30:31I think even in just the practical way
  507. 30:33of living and dressing, you know,
  508. 30:37you see some of even like fashion
  509. 30:39and some of the things that we give ourselves to, like, man,
  510. 30:43it's pervasive.
  511. 30:45It's all over.
  512. 30:46And you can see that there's an agenda being pushed to downgrade
  513. 30:51men and masculinity.
  514. 30:53And so the thing is, we have to be able to resist that.
  515. 30:56And we cannot resist those cultural trends that arrive
  516. 31:00with the truth if we're not using the straight-edge of scripture.
  517. 31:03And the reason that we are, well, we are in a lot of churches,
  518. 31:08is because we have abandoned what the word of God.
  519. 31:10We wanna sidestep certain scriptures
  520. 31:13because we feel certain ways that
  521. 31:15all noise should be like this or if I would do it,
  522. 31:18it would be like this.
  523. 31:19And that's sidestep in scripture.
  524. 31:21We've done that and so we have all these issues
  525. 31:24that have come into the church.
  526. 31:25But once we stand up on the word of God,
  527. 31:28those issues are resolved.
  528. 31:29Amen. Amen.
  529. 31:30We've done that to our detriment.
  530. 31:31And we've talked about how your commitment
  531. 31:37is to the authority of scripture, the straight edge
  532. 31:39of scripture, as you said.
  533. 31:41And now I see all the time when they show the world
  534. 31:42is gonna world.
  535. 31:43I'm not talking about or expecting the world
  536. 31:46to stand on the straight edge of scripture,
  537. 31:48but I do expect the church, not because it is my
  538. 31:51abe-willed humanistic expectation,
  539. 31:53but we have examples in scripture, Romans 12,
  540. 31:56Colossians 2 where the spirit of God
  541. 31:58through the Apostle Paul encourages the believer,
  542. 32:00exhorts the believer, refused to be conformed
  543. 32:04to the world around us.
  544. 32:05So we should have an expectation that there will be a worldly press and a worldly push,
  545. 32:10but that shouldn't be where we take our marching orders from.
  546. 32:13Instead of being conformed to the prevalent world around us, we have been commissioned,
  547. 32:17commanded to be conformed and be not to be conformed to the world around us, I'm sorry,
  548. 32:22but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. How are our minds renewed?
  549. 32:27Renewed according to the word of God. My guests, right now, are Will and Mickey Addison,
  550. 32:34founders of the culture proof ministry.
  551. 32:37They have graciously agreed to stay on for another segment.
  552. 32:39And so when we come back, I'm going to continue this conversation
  553. 32:42and talk a little bit about the necessity of strengthening
  554. 32:45the first human institution that God ordained as the family.
  555. 32:49But the fulcrum of it is marriage.
  556. 32:52You don't want to miss the rest of the show.
  557. 33:00This is Bible League International with an urgent plea.
  558. 33:02You know, Christian persecution in the 20th and 21st centuries
  559. 33:05exceeds all previous 19.
  560. 33:07I mean, that tells you that we're addressing
  561. 33:09what is arguably the number one issue facing the global church.
  562. 33:12Christians are paying a heavy price simply for believing Jesus is the way the truth in
  563. 33:16the life.
  564. 33:17This woman in South Africa was hated by her family now that she's come to Christ but
  565. 33:21here's her reaction when she finally got her own Bible.
  566. 33:24We were in the middle of the lady that she learned down and she cried.
  567. 33:29At the age of 60 she never had a Bible.
  568. 33:32AFR listeners you're putting tears of joy on the faces of Bible as persecuted believers
  569. 33:37All over the world you've done that for thousands, we have to wrap up January 31st.
  570. 33:41The need is so great.
  571. 33:42So please add $5 a Bible, $50 sins 10, $500 sins 100, would you pray about it?
  572. 33:48And then call 800 yes word, 800 yes word, or give it sendbiblesnow.org.
  573. 33:55Send Biblesnow.org.
  574. 33:57Would you do it by January 31st?
  575. 33:59And God bless you for caring.
  576. 34:011 million moms wishes to thank you for letting us know about the Wayfair commercial in which
  577. 34:06Kelly Clarkson unnecessarily insinuates profanity.
  578. 34:10It's inappropriate that Wayfair produced a controversial advertisement instead of a wholesome
  579. 34:14one.
  580. 34:15We care about what our children hear, and since children repeat things, let Wayfair know that
  581. 34:20this ad was irresponsible.
  582. 34:23Sign our petition to urge Wayfair to cancel it at 1-million-moms.com.
  583. 34:27That's 1-million-moms.com.
  584. 34:29The Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Common Terrets are available at eFR.net.
  585. 34:40back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  586. 34:45Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the third, and I am on with my people.
  587. 34:50Will Amiki Addison, founders of the Culture Proof Ministry, we've been having a conversation
  588. 34:55so far about the necessity for the body of Christ to resist the culture's efforts to
  589. 35:02normalize rebellion and make it an ease of comfortable rebellion, but the necessity of
  590. 35:07being peculiar.
  591. 35:10and we've been talking about, you can listen to their podcasts, everywhere podcasts are available,
  592. 35:15you can subscribe to their YouTube channel, which I encourage you to do. You can go to
  593. 35:21cultureproof.net, their website. I want to invite you guys now, and I'll toss this to Miki,
  594. 35:26just to describe a bit of what you do under the umbrella of Culture Proof, because the podcast is
  595. 35:32just one of the things that are available that you offer through Culture Proof. What are all the
  596. 35:38of various iterations of the ministry that God has brought forward through you guys through
  597. 35:42culture proof?
  598. 35:44Yeah, so the big thing that we did kind of right out of the gate was to continue to present
  599. 35:49to those who we felt like the Lord had entrusted to us as like kind of keeping our finger on
  600. 35:55the pulse of what's happening in culture is hosting our conference.
  601. 35:59We feel like it's so vitally important for families across generations to come together
  602. 36:04and to understand what's happening in the culture because we can talk about resisting it.
  603. 36:08So often, and I think that people are genuine.
  604. 36:11They're like, I just, I don't know what's going on.
  605. 36:14And I don't understand how what's going on
  606. 36:17seeks to rival the truth.
  607. 36:19So one of the things that we wanted to do was continue on
  608. 36:22in hosting a conference that paid attention,
  609. 36:25not only to the adults, but to the children.
  610. 36:27So we have a kids and we have a teen track
  611. 36:31where we wanna teach our kids apologetics,
  612. 36:33but not just fill their heads with knowledge.
  613. 36:35We wanna teach them how to apply that
  614. 36:38in godly living.
  615. 36:39What does it look like to live out what you're actually learning?
  616. 36:43And so last year, we were incredibly blessed to be joined by about 700 people for the first
  617. 36:50culture proof conference.
  618. 36:52This year will be the second culture proof conference, and we're just as excited about
  619. 36:56that.
  620. 36:57Last year's theme was resist.
  621. 36:59Just wanted to come out heavy.
  622. 37:01This year's theme is worthy of it all.
  623. 37:04So we're going to be exploring all of the ways that we live and how that points to our
  624. 37:10testifies to the reality that Jesus Christ is worthy that we should live holy and set apart
  625. 37:16lives in this world.
  626. 37:18Man, that is wonderful.
  627. 37:20And I've mentioned the podcast and I know I've been talking about it, but would you just
  628. 37:25share a bit about the podcast and where people can tune in to subscribe to be a part of resisting
  629. 37:32the trends that rival the truth.
  630. 37:35Yeah, definitely.
  631. 37:36Anyway, where you get your podcast,
  632. 37:38you can find us just look for culture proof.
  633. 37:40Also, you can go to our website cultureproof.net,
  634. 37:44cultureproof.net, we have the podcast there as well.
  635. 37:48And you can check us out on our YouTube channel.
  636. 37:50Just look for culture proof, where everywhere.
  637. 37:53And the mission is still the same.
  638. 37:55We are really trying to encourage families,
  639. 37:57encourage the body of believers to stand for Christ,
  640. 38:01to stand on the word of God and to not be stained by this world.
  641. 38:05You know, it's just, it's a reality that is, it's hard, you know,
  642. 38:09and it seems like you can be easily stained, but through the power of God and Him protecting us,
  643. 38:16if we desire to, we can walk through this life and not be bombarded by the things of this world.
  644. 38:21So well said. And one of the things, it shouldn't be lost on us and
  645. 38:26we here at American Family Association filed an Amicus brief in this Cermetti case, and this is
  646. 38:31case that came out of Tennessee and just to succinctly describe it, the state of Tennessee
  647. 38:35had the audacious proposition where they sought to protect their minor citizens from transgender
  648. 38:41mutilation and what they are calling medication, but really it's chemical castration drugs.
  649. 38:47And we have reached a place to where the United States Supreme Court is debating as to whether
  650. 38:52or not the state of Tennessee has a lawful constitutional authority to do that.
  651. 38:56No, I know a lot of people have been focusing on that case.
  652. 38:58So as I mentioned, we filed an amicus brief in that case, but it's not lost on me that
  653. 39:04we're debating transgenderism for children in December of 2024. That's less than a decade
  654. 39:11from June 26, 2015, where the O'Bergalfell decision was made. That if you can decide as a society
  655. 39:20that male and a female and this are irrelevant to marriage, why should we care whether or not
  656. 39:25about me onus of female is relevant to breastrooms,
  657. 39:28or actually whether or not children's me onus of female
  658. 39:30is actually designed and authored by God.
  659. 39:35What I'm saying is that we don't get to the questions
  660. 39:38about transgenderism if we don't open the door
  661. 39:41to a perversion of God's institution of marriage.
  662. 39:45Yes.
  663. 39:46Yeah.
  664. 39:47No, that is, yeah.
  665. 39:49What a great connection you're making there.
  666. 39:50I think anytime you look around and see what's happening
  667. 39:53in our culture and recognize that the enemy is driving
  668. 39:58what's happening in our culture as the rebellion
  669. 40:01against God is manifested.
  670. 40:03The root of it is, did God really say?
  671. 40:06And really the deeper question is,
  672. 40:08does God have the authority to say?
  673. 40:09Like does he get to say?
  674. 40:11And I think that so many of us don't recognize
  675. 40:14that these challenges that we're facing,
  676. 40:16they're not just empty calls to political activism.
  677. 40:19It's our opportunity to agree with God publicly.
  678. 40:22It is our opportunity to stand up on the front lines,
  679. 40:26take the blows and say, we agree with God.
  680. 40:29I think that as Christians, we have to remember
  681. 40:31that we are not setting a standard.
  682. 40:33God has already set the standard.
  683. 40:35What we are doing is we are being bold enough,
  684. 40:37we are being willing to lose our lives, to risk it all,
  685. 40:41and to say publicly, we agree with God.
  686. 40:45You know what's interesting?
  687. 40:46I was reading an article this week
  688. 40:49that Richard Dawkins just resigned from the board
  689. 40:53of the Freedom from Religion Foundation
  690. 40:55because he is experiencing like this.
  691. 40:58It seems like he's experiencing like a spiritual crisis,
  692. 41:01right?
  693. 41:02But he's like, how come you guys can not just assert biology
  694. 41:05that men or men and women are women?
  695. 41:08And so he's kind of coming into this time of opposition
  696. 41:11and that it may have begun with him seeing himself
  697. 41:15as a bit of a cultural Christian.
  698. 41:17And what's really the expression there?
  699. 41:19The expression there is that God's morality is good.
  700. 41:24And even though I hate him for no reason,
  701. 41:27I cannot escape the reality that God's morality is good.
  702. 41:33And I think that as our culture has swung,
  703. 41:36if you think of it as a pendulum,
  704. 41:37it's gone so far away from God.
  705. 41:40We've experienced rebellion,
  706. 41:42like we've never seen in the history of our country.
  707. 41:45Now there was no choice man having run to the very end of his desires,
  708. 41:49just chasing after the things of this world, chasing after his flesh.
  709. 41:53And what happens?
  710. 41:54The pendulum has to go back in the other direction.
  711. 41:57And what does that mean?
  712. 41:58It means that man comes to the end of himself.
  713. 42:00And he says, there's got to be more than my desires.
  714. 42:02There's got to be more than me writing the script.
  715. 42:05There's got to be more than me taking charge.
  716. 42:07And God is merciful.
  717. 42:08And what God allows in that swinging back, God welcomes us.
  718. 42:13He forgives our sin and our rebellion,
  719. 42:15and he offers us eternal life.
  720. 42:17And I think that's where we are now.
  721. 42:19And since we're on the topic,
  722. 42:22God is the one who designed marriage.
  723. 42:24His morality is good, his design is good,
  724. 42:27his institution is good.
  725. 42:29There's an event coming up that we are participating in
  726. 42:33this February.
  727. 42:34So if you don't have plans yet, I'm telling you,
  728. 42:36now you have plans.
  729. 42:37It's a double date night.
  730. 42:38Mickey, tell us about it.
  731. 42:40Oh man, I am super excited.
  732. 42:42I'm super excited about this because you guys are just like fun to be around you and Maria.
  733. 42:47And when I tune in and I listen and you are on with Maria and you guys are talking about
  734. 42:52marriage is so practical, it's so down the earth.
  735. 42:55And I think, man, this is just a picture, your listeners are getting a picture of what is
  736. 43:00reality.
  737. 43:01Like this is what we actually sit around talking about.
  738. 43:03How can we glorify God in our marriages?
  739. 43:06think that marriages have something that I call a Lazarus effect. And the Lazarus effect,
  740. 43:12if you read in scripture in the book of John chapter 12 where people are familiar with the
  741. 43:18story that Jesus raises Lazarus to life, but many people overlook what happens after Lazarus
  742. 43:25is raised to life, that you've got the chief priests who now want to kill Lazarus and why
  743. 43:29do they want to do that? Because as he's walking around, people are believing in Jesus because
  744. 43:35of his very public witness that Jesus is who he says he is.
  745. 43:39And I put marriage in a similar category that as we are living and operating in our marriages
  746. 43:44for the glory of God, there is a Lazarus effect that we point to God.
  747. 43:49We say this is a picture of Christ in the church and we have what a humbling opportunity
  748. 43:54to exemplify that, but we live in a culture that wants to kill it, that wants to squash
  749. 43:59that, that wants to say there's nothing to see here.
  750. 44:01We can't do it.
  751. 44:02We can't keep our covenant.
  752. 44:04But what we want to do on February the 14th is we want to say yes we can and yes we will
  753. 44:09because Jesus is worthy so we want to get together, want to have a little friendly couple competition.
  754. 44:14We've done that before.
  755. 44:16People who have come to our date nights in the past, you will know that we will have a grand time
  756. 44:21and there will be encouragement.
  757. 44:22We're also bringing in the smiling homeschooler Todd Wilson who's been married for over 30 years.
  758. 44:28I once served as a pastor, eight kids, he's a granddad,
  759. 44:32And we're just going to have a grand time as we make much of the Lord in living out godly
  760. 44:38marriages.
  761. 44:39It doesn't mean that it's perfect.
  762. 44:40Like we have to ask forgiveness a lot, but we want to take an opportunity to not just lament
  763. 44:45what's happening in our culture, but we also want to celebrate the institution that God
  764. 44:50has entrusted to us.
  765. 44:51Amen.
  766. 44:52And concerning some of those details, Will, will you share with the audience where they
  767. 44:56can go, where they can register, where will everything take place?
  768. 44:59You know, all of the details.
  769. 45:01Yes.
  770. 45:02February 14th, Valentine's Day.
  771. 45:05That'll make sure I get it right.
  772. 45:08Valentine's Day, February 14th,
  773. 45:10it's gonna be at the Cadence Bank Arena Conference Center
  774. 45:13right here in Tupelo, Mississippi.
  775. 45:16And also you can register, you can go to cultureproof.net,
  776. 45:19go to cultureproof.net.
  777. 45:21And registration is until February 5th.
  778. 45:24And so go to cultureproof.net and you know,
  779. 45:27bring your wife, your husband's,
  780. 45:29we're making it easy for you.
  781. 45:31you have to do is get dressed and show up because the food is taken care of whole course meal entertainment
  782. 45:37is you this is major point. Oh, yeah, major point. And you can play like you thought this thing through
  783. 45:43just you just heard it right here on the Hamilton corner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So go to call to prove
  784. 45:50that net and you can register today. And I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so to take advantage
  785. 45:55of it. I just learned that the deadline has been extended to February 5th. So you have until February
  786. 46:00fifth to register and you don't want to miss it.
  787. 46:03And this is the kind of thing, honestly,
  788. 46:06if you're in the local area, what a blessing.
  789. 46:08But it's the kind of thing that really is worth traveling for
  790. 46:12if you haven't had that opportunity.
  791. 46:14Now, I want to make sure I say something here
  792. 46:18that there's a reason why there's such strident warfare,
  793. 46:23strident warfare against marriages.
  794. 46:27And I'm telling you, it is because of the centrality
  795. 46:30of marriage, not the exclusive context, because God knows we're in all various stages, you know.
  796. 46:37But this is a context that requires attention and requires support. And I just want to speak
  797. 46:43to that for a moment and invite you well and then me to jump in on that. I know and I've talked about
  798. 46:48it and I know you've talked about it as well, but would you just share a little bit why you see such
  799. 46:52pernicious and I should say persistent warfare against people in their marriages?
  800. 46:56Oh, yeah, definitely. It's spiritual warfare big time because the enemy hates it. It represents
  801. 47:04something that he despises. So he fights against it all the time. And so the thing is, if he
  802. 47:11can get you at odds with your spouse, if he can bring in different things to try to keep
  803. 47:17you just a little bit off, he loved that. And ultimately, he wanted to end a divorce. He
  804. 47:22He wanted to be destroyed.
  805. 47:23He's trying to redefine what marriage is.
  806. 47:25You cannot do that, you know,
  807. 47:28but you see it happening in our culture,
  808. 47:30trying to redefine what it is because he hates it,
  809. 47:32because of the picture of Christ and the church.
  810. 47:34He hates that picture.
  811. 47:35And so we as husbands and wives,
  812. 47:39we need to make sure that we stand on God's side
  813. 47:42as it concerns marriage.
  814. 47:44You know, the world tries to throw different things at us
  815. 47:47and say, no, you know, if you don't like her anymore,
  816. 47:50You can go have a no fault divorce and switch that would never happen.
  817. 47:53You like all the time.
  818. 47:55All the time.
  819. 47:57Just like God is good.
  820. 47:59But man, we have to stand for.
  821. 48:01We have to stand for what God stands for and what He desires for us to do.
  822. 48:06And as a church, we've been really weak in this area.
  823. 48:09And it may be because of a lack of teaching and understanding,
  824. 48:13the covenant and what is at stake.
  825. 48:16But we've been just like the world in this area.
  826. 48:19So we have to stand for biblical marriage.
  827. 48:21Amen.
  828. 48:22And, Mickey, we have about a minute left.
  829. 48:24Yeah, that's not enough time.
  830. 48:26I will just say, I will just say that Jesus is worthy
  831. 48:30and the Lord has made a promise to us
  832. 48:32that he will never leave us or forsake us.
  833. 48:34And when you think about us having an opportunity
  834. 48:37to exemplify that in marriage,
  835. 48:38you can understand why Satan wants us to renege on that.
  836. 48:41And so we've got to press through,
  837. 48:43we've got to continue to say with our lives
  838. 48:45that Jesus is worthy.
  839. 48:47Amen, because he is culture roof.net is the website,
  840. 48:51double date night, February 14th.
  841. 48:54Your Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day plans
  842. 48:57have already been made for you.
  843. 48:58Love to see you there.
  844. 49:00I heard, I don't know if this is true.
  845. 49:02I heard Will will be there judging all the tire.
  846. 49:04I'm kidding.
  847. 49:04Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
  848. 49:07But we'd love to have you there.
  849. 49:09It's gonna be an amazing, an amazing time.
  850. 49:11Listen, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is worthy.
  851. 49:15When we consider the scripture we started out with,
  852. 49:17Ephesians 3 verses 14 through 21.
  853. 49:19If you look at verse 20, it's often quoted unto him
  854. 49:22who was able to do exceedingly abundantly above all
  855. 49:25that we can ask, think, or even imagine.
  856. 49:27Don't forget that the context of God presented that to us
  857. 49:29within is in that of verse 19, that we would ascribe
  858. 49:33and aspire toward all of the fullness of God,
  859. 49:39the fullness of Godliness available to us,
  860. 49:41that he has made himself available to work it in
  861. 49:46and through us refuse to allow the culture to set the stage and to set the temperature,
  862. 49:52so to speak, to which you and I would live. But let us refuse to be conformed to this world,
  863. 49:57but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. And as a result of being transformed,
  864. 50:04we are agents who become agents of his transformation.
