12. 0:34Alex McFarland here is so honored to be sitting in for Abe Hamilton, the third attorney, pastor,
13. 0:40broadcaster on the Hamilton Corner.

16. 0:46We're going to talk about Israel.
17. 0:49And we've got an expert on whom you'll meet in just a moment.
18. 0:52And we will take calls and questions if you've got some questions about the status of the Middle
19. 0:59released right now and frankly the security of the nation of Israel or other related questions
20. 1:06we will get to calls in a few moments. But I welcome you as you may know if you listened
21. 1:12last night we had a great show Bunny Pound's last night of Christians engaged was our guest.
22. 1:19But I was coming to you not from my home state of North Carolina or Tupola, Mississippi,
23. 1:26the ground zero, the headquarters of the American Family Radio Network.
24. 1:31I was coming to you as I am again tonight from New Jersey.
25. 1:35We're in the final days of our last summer camp of the summer, Biblical World View, and
26. 1:42I appreciate everybody's prayers.
27. 1:44And so I'll be flying out of Edison, no, Newark, New Jersey tomorrow morning early heading
28. 1:51back to North Carolina.
29. 1:53It's an honor to be with you tonight.
30. 1:56And let me kind of queue this up by telling you,
31. 1:58I just got off the stage,
32. 2:00I was in front of 125 middle school and high schoolers.
33. 2:04And it was open Q&A.
34. 2:07And, you know, at summer camp, Christian camp,
35. 2:09they've got all kinds of questions.
36. 2:12But the last 30 minutes, middle school and high schoolers,
37. 2:16were asking about Israel.
38. 2:18And many go to public school.
39. 2:21And some had questions, and it was just precious,
40. 2:24and I was sharing what I believe is a biblical position.
41. 2:28But they were asking, why does it seem like some
42. 2:31of the teachers they have are so against Israel,
43. 2:36and these kids, though they didn't know the term anti-Semitism,
44. 2:41were asking basically, how do we deal with the reality
45. 2:45of anti-Semitism?
46. 2:47And so even teenagers are thinking about the attacks
47. 2:51of last October.
48. 2:52Teenage Girl brought up the Hamas attacks of last October.
49. 2:57So it's important to be informed and to know what's going on.
50. 3:03And with that in mind, I'm very excited
51. 3:05to bring as a guest tonight from the Joseph Project
52. 3:10International.
53. 3:11We're going to talk with Joel Chernoff.
54. 3:14He is the founder of the Joseph Project International,
55. 3:18the founder executive board chairman,
56. 3:21and things like the power grid and the well-being
57. 3:25of the state of Israel, and also questions like this,
58. 3:29because even as we do this program in Chicago,
59. 3:32the DNC has anti-Israel protesters, violence,
60. 3:37one person has died already.
61. 3:40You know, somebody asked me,
62. 3:41because I was at the RNC,
63. 3:42What's the difference between the DNC and the RNC?
64. 3:45Well, there were no homicides at the RNC in Milwaukee a month ago.
65. 3:51But there's a lot of static and so much of what is going on now,
66. 3:56and certainly so much of what hangs on the election in November,
67. 4:00relates to Israel, America's relationship, stability in the Middle East,
68. 4:05and ultimately the safety of the entire world.
69. 4:09to help us weigh in on this and get some insights.
70. 4:12Joe will turn off of the Joseph Project International.

76. 4:30First, what is the Joseph Project International?
77. 4:35The Joseph Project International
78. 4:37is a humanitarian aid society or charity based
79. 4:42headquartered in Israel in the Jerusalem region.
80. 4:47Joseph Project has put over $170 million worth of aid
81. 4:54from Christians all over the world and some Messianic Jews.
82. 4:57Of course, I am a Messianic Jew.
83. 5:01I also serve as the CEO and general secretary
84. 5:06the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, which is the largest organization with the authority
85. 5:13who speak for the Messianic community in the world. The Joseph Project was founded as a result
86. 5:22of a prophetic word the Lord gave me in 1996 when we were a very small organization with no money
87. 5:30really, and not that much strength. But it was a prophetic word that was in the near future. God
88. 5:37was going to bring over a million more Jewish people from Eastern Europe and Russia back to Israel
89. 5:45in a time with great trouble and terror. And that Israel would not be prepared. And Israel
90. 5:53would need help. And so the Lord in this word was saying that he was commissioning the Messianic
91. 6:01Jewish community in partnership with Christians around the world like Joseph prepared for the famine
92. 6:10in ancient Egypt. We are to prepare a blessing on the soil of Israel for this event that is coming
93. 6:19And until that comes, build the infrastructure necessary and meet
94. 6:25urgency along the way, like Ovidi War, other things that are coming up. That was in 1996.
95. 6:34It took us three years to get going. By 2000, we were shipping goods into Israel from Christian
96. 6:42charities. And today we are the largest, the Joseph Patrick International is the largest
97. 6:48importer of humanitarian aid in the state of Israel.
98. 6:53Wonderful.
99. 6:54My goodness.
100. 6:55Well, what an amazing ministry God has raised up through your obedience.
101. 7:00I've got so many questions.
102. 7:02I'm sure many listeners do as well.
103. 7:03But before we go too far and we'll do this a few times in the hour, but what is your website,

107. 7:20You know, for American Christians, you know, some are very dialed in and care deeply about
108. 7:29issues related to the nation of Israel. I do. But what would you, and first of all, let
109. 7:35me say what an honor it is to speak to you as a messianic Jewish individual. I mean, I
110. 7:40think it's great honor. But what should American citizens and American Christians, what would
111. 7:49you want them to know about Israel that maybe they don't know?
112. 7:56Well, I think that it's extremely important that believers, whether they're Jewish or non-Jewish
113. 8:03Christians and Messian Jews need to know the prophetic contour of events leading up to the Messiah's
114. 8:13second comment because you don't want to find yourself on the wrong side of God's purposes and plans
115. 8:22and it's very easy because the world is pushing Christians who bow the knee to a more secular
116. 8:30view into an anti-Israel view, which is quite amazing, this irrational phenomenon. But the
117. 8:39scripture is quite clear. God is quite clear about the end of days, about the days leading
118. 8:47up to his second coming, and that all prophetic events rotate and surround the state of Israel.
119. 8:58promises to restore physically and spiritually the nation of Israel, all of
120. 9:06Israel will be saved and then you show what Jesus is coming back. He says that
121. 9:12himself. He says he will not return until we say,
122. 9:17blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. And so it's very, very important
123. 9:23that believers understand the times and the seasons so they are not
124. 9:29swept up into movements that put them at odds with God's purposes and plan.
125. 9:38You know Joel I know you and I are just now getting acquainted but I just
126. 9:43have an idea you and I would make real good friends. I was debating an atheist at a
127. 9:49college and during the Q&A he said, you know, give me one thing that could persuade me that
128. 9:56there's a supernatural realm. I mean, there's a lot I could say, but he said, just give me
129. 10:01one thing that should make me think there's God in the supernatural. I said, I'll do it
130. 10:06in one word, Israel. I believe Israel and like you said, the trajectory of end times, but
131. 10:14just the trajectory of the Jewish people throughout history, May 14, 1948, the rebirth of the modern
132. 10:21state of Israel. If you agree, and I'm sure that you probably do, that Israel is a miracle, tell
133. 10:32the listeners why that might be so.
134. 10:36Well no other people, no other group of people have ever been historically dispersed out of
135. 10:44their original homeland, let's say, and then brought back and reestablished as a nation again,
136. 10:55has never happened in history until 1948, when Israel was reestablished after being out of the land
137. 11:07for almost 2000 years, they started to trickle back into the land of Israel from Eastern Europe
138. 11:14in the late 1880s, 1890s, and finally the Zionist movement started Herzl, who many believe was
139. 11:21in Messianic Jew. That whole movement happened, but not until 1948 was the nation of Israel
140. 11:31born again. And that was a miracle that has never happened. In fact, it probably would never happen
141. 11:39again, given the state of the United Nations. The United Nations voted the state of Israel back
142. 11:46into existence. That of course took an act of God and was born out of the ashes of the Holocaust.
143. 11:58That tragedy, unbelievable tragedy, put the world in the frame of mind to reestablish a Jewish
144. 12:07homeland in Israel, not in Uganda, not in some other place, but in the historical biblical land
145. 12:16of Israel in fulfillment of prophecy. Just like God said, it would happen in the latter days.
146. 12:25And so that is a miracle that has never happened for that's the first thing that I tell people
147. 12:32what's never happened before in 1948.
148. 12:36At the time of Israel's rebirth in 1948,
149. 12:41did people around the world at that time,
150. 12:43or at least people who believe the Bible,
151. 12:46did they say, oh my goodness, this is prophecy
152. 12:49right before our very eyes.
153. 12:51This, the clock of end times prophecy is now ticking.
154. 12:57Did people recognize the significance back in 1948
155. 13:01to your knowledge? Yes, yes. Many, many believers did, of course. Many, many evangelical believers
156. 13:09in particular, tens of millions were extremely excited because they knew the Word of God.
157. 13:15And they knew that there were certain prophetic events that were to take place only in the
158. 13:23latter days just prior to the Messiah's return. So they immediately locked in on the fact that
159. 13:32this event was prophetic and that they've signaled at the very least nobody knew how long it was
160. 13:41going to be, but signaled that we had passed into the period called the end of days, the latter days,
161. 13:48all of those events that were to take place in that period of time leading up to the Messiah's return.
162. 13:57Now of course a lot of others, a lot of other people in the world really were not operating on that prophetic tangent.
163. 14:06They were thinking, well, you know, six million Jews died in the ovens of Germany,
164. 14:15and they deserve a place to live
165. 14:19and a safe place to call them home.
166. 14:22But those were secular people, not necessarily believers,
167. 14:25but I can tell you, tens of millions of believers
168. 14:28understood what that meant.
169. 14:31Sure, sure.

207. 16:58I'm very much pro-Israel.
208. 17:01I think the church should care about the Jewish people.
209. 17:05And I really do believe, you know,
210. 17:07Joel, I've been privileged to know a lot of people
211. 17:10in the military, not bragging.
212. 17:15It's just a fact I've known quite a few people
213. 17:17that worked at the Pentagon.
214. 17:18I've spoken at Fort Bragg and NORAD out in Colorado, and the folks that I've known that
215. 17:26are in the US military will be quick to tell you the stability of the world depends on Israel.
216. 17:37And by extension, our relationship with Israel.
217. 17:41So I mean, I care about all these issues as a Christian, but I would appeal to citizens,
218. 17:46They should care about Israel and Israel's right to exist if for no other reason just out
219. 17:53of care about the stability of the world and peace in the Middle East.
220. 17:59Would you agree?
221. 18:03Yeah, the Scripture is very, very clear and God is very, very clear throughout the Scripture
222. 18:07that Israel is at the center of his prophetic plan for the entire planet.
223. 18:14The devil understands this Satan, Satan understands this.
224. 18:18And that's why he hates the Jewish people first.
225. 18:22And then a close second are true believing Christians.
226. 18:25But he absolutely hates Israel because he knows that his fate ultimately is tied up in Israel.
227. 18:33Why?
228. 18:34Because Israel's redemption is the precursor event to the second coming of the Messiah,
229. 18:41Yeshua Jesus.
230. 18:43And he wants to destroy the nation of Israel, improve God to be a liar and weak.
231. 18:50He is still contending for King of the universe.
232. 18:54He is still contending for that.
233. 18:57He thinks he can win, but he can't, obviously.
234. 19:01But that's what deception is all about.
235. 19:04You can be self-doubt to see.
236. 19:07So obviously, anti-Semitism, if you think about it, Alex, we have been watching the
237. 19:12unbelievable growth of anti-Semitism through anti-Israel sentiment around the world and
238. 19:20unbelievably even in this country. It's not rational. There's only 8 to 10 million people in Israel.
239. 19:30There's only 7 million Jews and there's 350 million mostly hostile Arab
240. 19:37Muslims that have sought since the foundation of the state of Israel to
241. 19:44destroy it. So it is an irrational situation but that's because it's
242. 19:53spiritual. It's a spiritual situation. You know Joel you know having spoken or
243. 19:59debated or done Q&A at 200 American universities even some Christian
244. 20:04universities. I've often thought about this and you hit the nail on the head. The
245. 20:09animosity against the Jewish people is irrational. Joe, I've been at colleges
246. 20:14all over America and professors just have this visceral anger just about Israel and
247. 20:22if a person like myself advocates for the right of Israel to self-defense or the
248. 20:29the state of visual has the right to exist.
249. 20:32Just this, and I'm not trying to be brazen people,
250. 20:36but it's Jew hatred, and there's no explanation for it.
251. 20:41I mean, not the largest country in the world,
252. 20:44certainly not the largest demographic of people.
253. 20:47And I've often asked audiences, I'm like,
254. 20:51look, why this knee jerk animus against Jewish people?
255. 20:56I mean, it's inexplicable apart from a spiritual explanation, isn't it?
256. 21:02Yes, it is absolutely irrational. Everybody knows it, who is thinking at all, whether they are a
257. 21:11believer or not. I am just amazed at watching different pundits like Piers Morgan and so many others
258. 21:21that are trying to wrestle with it. Why is the anti-Semitism growing like this?
259. 21:27They were just attacking Gaza and slaughtered and babies slaughtered. And obviously, Israel has
260. 21:33to go and clean that out or it's gone to or it's going to happen again and again and again.
261. 21:41Yet it is as if the world wants it to happen again and is siding with the terrorists against
262. 21:48Israel, it makes no sense for any other country. No other country would put up with it, not the
263. 21:56least is the United States. We would not put up with people crossing our border and slaughtering
264. 22:02our citizens without extremely strong response to put that issue away. Yet that is not how the
265. 22:12world is judging the situation in Israel. That shows you right off the bat that this is a spiritual
266. 22:22equation and not a rational political equation. I want to get some calls. Let's go first to Texas.
267. 22:32Mark from Texas, thanks for holding. Welcome to AFR and our conversation with Joel Turnoff.
268. 22:38So much. So as I'm listening to you guys, I'm thinking about America's involvement with
269. 22:46Israel over the last 30 or 40 years. And it brought them on the book, Eye to Eye, by William
270. 22:52Konegg facing the consequences of dividing Israel. And whenever there's a land deal made
271. 22:59where Israel loses land and the US has been involved, there's been a natural disaster that
272. 23:05that has happened in the US, some kind of weather disaster
273. 23:09that can only be explained by God doing something.
274. 23:15And it's always right after one of those deals
275. 23:18has been made.
276. 23:19Have you had any experience with that book
277. 23:23or read the book or heard people talk about it?
278. 23:28Yeah, I know Bill is a great journalist.
279. 23:31But Joel, speak to this because I know the observation
280. 23:35of which the caller speaks.
281. 23:39Yes, Bill is a friend also, to me,
282. 23:43a long time friend of the Messianic Jewish community.
283. 23:48But yeah, I mean, look, we saw it when they gave away Gaza
284. 23:54when Sharon was basically arm twisted by President Bush
285. 23:59to give that Gaza in an attempt to get peace.
286. 24:07And of course the terrorist took it over immediately
287. 24:10and turned it and just destroyed it
288. 24:12and turned it into a terror haven.
289. 24:17And a base to launch terrorist attacks.
290. 24:21And as we see the end result of this in Gaza.
291. 24:24At the same time, as soon as they leveled Gaza,
292. 24:27this is the terrorist leveled it.
293. 24:29and Bill points this out, we were hit with two major hurricanes,
294. 24:36category four or five, I forget which ones it were,
295. 24:39that hit the Gulf Coast and leveled the Gulf Coast.
296. 24:44I mean leveled it to where it looked like Gaza.
297. 24:49So yeah, I see Bill's point.
298. 24:52I don't doubt that there are consequences for people,
299. 24:57people, nations, leaders that force Israel to do things in this period, the latter days
300. 25:09that are against God's purposes and plans.
301. 25:12There will be consequences.
302. 25:15Amen.
303. 25:16Amen.
304. 25:17That's what I've said.
305. 25:18And folks, look, as we go to the polls come November, I've said this, I'll say it to my
306. 25:22dying breath.
307. 25:23greatest favor any president can ever do the american people is to be a good
308. 25:28friend to the nation of israel

311. 25:37well thank you so much for taking my call
312. 25:40uh... i tell you the reason i'm calling
313. 25:42has to do with uh... i was listening to a re-broadcast of exploring the bible
314. 25:46and you mentioned uh... in there
315. 25:49romans eleven twenty five
316. 25:51And I think that just fits so nicely with what you're talking about today.
317. 25:54And you know what that says?
318. 25:59Yeah.
319. 26:00Yeah.
320. 26:01Yeah.
321. 26:02Yeah.
322. 26:03Yeah.
323. 26:04Romans 1125 Paul says this for I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this
324. 26:11mystery, unless you should be wise in your own conceit that blindness in part has happened
325. 26:16to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
326. 26:20And so all Israel shall be saved.
327. 26:24I also mentioned, and thank you for bringing this up,
328. 26:26but in verse 29, speaking of the fact,
329. 26:30because part of this, and Joel, I'll throw it to you,
330. 26:32but I've had younger pastors sometimes
331. 26:35that are like very reformed or replacement theology.
332. 26:38Those that will, when Israel, not all,
333. 26:41but to a large degree, they missed the Messiah.
334. 26:44the promises the Abrahamic covenant was nullified. No, Romans 1129, for the gifts and calling of
335. 26:52God are without repentance. And so one day, I believe this in Joel, you certainly correct
336. 26:59me if I'm wrong or there are gaps in my knowledge of the Scriptures about Israel. One day Israel
337. 27:09will occupy their land in a state of belief. Am I right on understanding the Scriptures
338. 27:16that way? Yes. The spiritual restoration of Israel mimics or parrots the physical restoration
339. 27:28of Israel. As you see with the physical restoration of Israel, God promised our people he would
340. 27:35gather us again. He doesn't say he's going to gather gather us because we are perfect in faith.
341. 27:42Everybody has accepted Yeshua, excepted. No, he says, it's simply, I am going to gather you.
342. 27:50Now that gathering has been a process. It started in the late 1880s. It has been gradually evolving.
343. 27:58There's been a roll call of nations. God has called our people back from all of the era of nations.
344. 28:04He's called him back from Russia.
345. 28:06He will one day call our people back from the United States, but there has been a roll call
346. 28:12of nations where God has brought our people home.
347. 28:16In the same way spiritually, the modern day revival of our Jewish people is a process.
348. 28:24This isn't happening all in one instant.
349. 28:27This is where dispensationalists stumble over this because they think every Jewish person
350. 28:31is going to be saved right at the end.
351. 28:34And they're confused by the outpouring of the Spirit
352. 28:39that has already been happening for 70 years
353. 28:43upon our Jewish people.
354. 28:44And now, even from traditional Jewish sources,
355. 28:49they ask to make just in the United States alone.
356. 28:52There are between 1.5 million to 2 million messianic Jews.
357. 28:56Now, it's not the whole nation yet,
358. 28:58but it has gone from a little tiny remnant
359. 29:01to a substantive minority.
360. 29:04And that minority, which is what I represent,
361. 29:08is now making major contributions to the state of Israel
362. 29:12and its survival through the Joseph Project International.
363. 29:17This is a partnership of Messianic Jews and Christians
364. 29:20from all over the world who are sending goods to us
365. 29:23on 40 foot containers on ships.
366. 29:26Now almost $170 million worth.
367. 29:29This is a partnership, a messianic project with Christians who have such broad shoulders
368. 29:35and a lot of resources are partnering with us.
369. 29:39Our people, as they see that happening, are beginning to see the Jewish olive tree Paul
370. 29:46talks about in the book of Romans 9, 10, and 11.
371. 29:50He talks about that Jewish olive tree.
372. 29:52The root is Jewish, the trunk is Jewish, and the nations are grafted in.
373. 29:56And our people see Jew and Gentile working together, loving each other, and it's Jewish.
374. 30:04It resonates prophetically, and that has the power to change the heart of the nation.
375. 30:10National.
376. 30:11It is a national approach to the revival or the spiritual restoration of Israel.
377. 30:16Indeed, Iris in Texas, by the way, the number of folks is 858-988-40.
378. 30:23you have a question or comment. But Iris from Texas, you're on.
379. 30:28Well, thank you. And I've been a Jewish believer for 44 years over
380. 30:31half of my life. And I was raised in a traditional Jewish
381. 30:37family, both my parents and men to Israel twice. And my question
382. 30:40is, I have heard that the greatest number of Messianic youth are
383. 30:44in Israel now. That's part one is that true. And number two is
384. 30:49and also that the war affect that of people moving to Israel.
385. 30:53And also, is it still very difficult for a Jewish believer to move to Israel?
386. 31:00Good question.
387. 31:02So Joel, what do you say?
388. 31:06Well to the first question, most Messianic Jews and the Messianic Jewish revival really
389. 31:15started outside of Israel, wherever Jewish people were outside of Israel, starting in the United
390. 31:22States with the Jesus people revival of the late 60s and 70s. Tens of thousands of Jewish young
391. 31:31hippie kids came to faith quite supernaturally. Most of them had supernatural experiences. So most
392. 31:40Most of the Messianic Jewish congregations, most of the Messianic Jews are either in Messianic
393. 31:46synagogues or they are in churches or they are just drifting about.
394. 31:51There is a growing movement of Messianic Jews inside of Israel, but its numbers are still
395. 31:57relatively limited.
396. 31:59Might be between 50 to 75,000 in Israel that can be counted.
397. 32:08But we know that they are steadily coming in from Russia, from the United States.
398. 32:16They are immigrating to Israel.
399. 32:19But the other question is it still difficult for Messianic Jews to have great answer can
400. 32:25be yes.
401. 32:26It is still difficult.
402. 32:29There are laws on the books that are directed at us to keep us out.
403. 32:35However, Messianic Joseph find being ways to integrate anyway.
404. 32:39And there's a growing number of Sabra Messianic
405. 32:44that is Jewish people.
406. 32:46Oh, sorry.

435. 35:15Did you ever, were you ever around in the 70s or were you acquainted with the music group
436. 35:22Lamb, L-A-M-B?
437. 35:25I know of them.
438. 35:27Yes, I've heard their music.
439. 35:30That was a little before my time.
440. 35:31I became a believer in the 80s.
441. 35:34But yes, I was familiar.
442. 35:36Tell the listeners about that.
443. 35:38Would you?
444. 35:40Well, I was just curious.
445. 35:42That was actually, there were two of us in the group, Lamb.
446. 35:46Our apex years were in the 70s.
447. 35:49We were probably in the top three groups in the country when we came out with recordings.
448. 35:55It was different.
449. 35:56There was, it was pop.
450. 35:58it was bulk rock, but it was also Jewish sounding. A little bit of Hebrew in there and so forth.
451. 36:06And the kids loved it. And so we were always in the top three groups. We sang all the way through
452. 36:10the 70s and the 80s. And before the group, Lam stopped touring in 1992. But that was actually,
453. 36:21I was full-time in music ministry for 20 years as a professional recording
454. 36:30artist in the contemporary Christian field but being messianic. Sure sure you
455. 36:37know you and I over the break we were talking about some mutual friends we
456. 36:42had like the the late Barry leventh all great Bible scholar when I first went on
457. 36:48the American Family Radio Network, this was way back in 2009 at the privilege of interviewing
458. 36:55Moshe Rosen of Jews for Jesus.
459. 36:58So here's my question.
460. 37:00In the late 60s, in the 70s, many, many, many Jewish people became believers in Jesus.
461. 37:08I really think that was a supernatural work of God that continues on to this day.
462. 37:15If you would, Joel, speak about the miraculous times in which we live.
463. 37:22My friend Dr. Michael Brown says he thinks they're probably more born-again Jewish believers
464. 37:28at this moment than at any time since the first two centuries of the church.
465. 37:34And we're living in incredibly significant, miraculous times.
466. 37:41And I think looking at the Jewish nation and Jewish people help us understand that.
467. 37:49Yeah, well, this is all a part of God's prophetic plan in the latter days.
468. 37:56He says he was going to physically restore the Jewish people to their land, the land of
469. 38:05of Israel, which he has done.
470. 38:07And he was going to spiritually revive our people,
471. 38:13as he says in the book of Ezekiel,
472. 38:17when he talks about the dry bones of Israel in the latter days.
473. 38:21He's gonna breathe his spirit upon the dry bones of Israel,
474. 38:25put muscle and sinu, and et cetera, upon those bones.
475. 38:29He is speaking about a revival,
476. 38:31a spiritual revival of the Jewish people,
477. 38:34as Paul says, that will be resulting in a complete redemption of the nation of Israel.
478. 38:44This is God's plan leading up to the Second Coming.
479. 38:49And that is properly, it is the precursor prophetic event, is the spiritual revival of Israel.
480. 38:56The Messiah is not coming back until we as a people say,
481. 39:01the less it is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
482. 39:04So that revival, it's taking place now,
483. 39:08it's been happening for 50 years,
484. 39:11and it is on a trajectory towards national vavation.
485. 39:17And Michael Brown, who is a longtime friend,
486. 39:21is absolutely right,
487. 39:23they're probably more, more messianic Jews than ever before.
488. 39:28Why? Because that's God's plan.
489. 39:30We are moving towards the revival of the nation of Israel and the return of Yeshua.
490. 39:37Don't be surprised.
491. 39:391967, Alex, there were no messianic synagogues or congregations.
492. 39:45Zero.
493. 39:47And today there are over a thousand messianic congregations worldwide, about 250 to 300 in Israel alone.
494. 39:56And it's growing and expanding.
495. 39:59This is God's prophetic plan in action.
496. 40:03Let's go to Gina from Texas.

498. 40:07Welcome to our conversation.
499. 40:10Yes.
500. 40:11Hello, Alex and Joel.
501. 40:12Thank you both for your awesome ministries.
502. 40:15And yes, amen.
503. 40:19And yes, regarding what you were just talking about in Ezekiel,
504. 40:23I think that there's also prophecy in Ezekiel
505. 40:26that talks about the tooth sticks being rejoined.
506. 40:29And I think that has to do with Israel and Christianity,
507. 40:36which is of course scattered around the world.
508. 40:39But my original question had to do with the fact
509. 40:43that it appears to me from what I've heard in public
510. 40:49this course is coming out of Israel,
511. 40:52that I have not heard, at least I haven't heard,
512. 40:56any public disclosure and belief in God,
513. 41:00the God of Israel.
514. 41:02Burn the Prime Minister or any of the spokesman in that worries me.
515. 41:06What do you think?
516. 41:09Well, understand that the nation of Israel, even though there is a growing messianic community,
517. 41:22and there are many, many Orthodox Jews who actually believe in God too.
518. 41:26But it is largely a secular state.
519. 41:29Now that shouldn't surprise you.
520. 41:32Certainly God does not say he is going to bring us back
521. 41:37as believers in the Messiah.
522. 41:39But he's going to restore us physically
523. 41:43and he's going to restore us spiritually.
524. 41:46How he does that and in what order
525. 41:48and exactly what events trigger that, believe me.
526. 41:53It was a miracle in the late sixties
527. 41:56when God poured out his spirit in the Jesus people revival
528. 42:00and tens of thousands of Jewish young hippie kids
529. 42:03accepted the Lord out of nowhere.
530. 42:05And that's what started the modern movement.
531. 42:07That is a miracle.
532. 42:09And that miracle is continuing through this very day.
533. 42:13Listen, don't be surprised.
534. 42:14Once the revival starts inside of Israel,
535. 42:18in the borders of Israel,
536. 42:19it will spread like wildfire.
537. 42:22It's a small country.
538. 42:24Once it starts, it will spread like wildfire,
539. 42:27and then the law will go forth from Zion
540. 42:30to the world.
541. 42:33So don't be discouraged.
542. 42:34Secondly, Bibi, the prime minister of Israel,
543. 42:39is apt to quote scriptures.
544. 42:42He is apt to quote scriptures.
545. 42:44There are many thoughts.
546. 42:46I know that Bibi and his wife, Sarah,
547. 42:49have heard the good news.
548. 42:51I know people who know him personally, that there is a lot of activity spiritually happening
549. 42:59in Islam that you cannot see, that I cannot see, a lot of messianic activity.
550. 43:07But we just take it a day at a time and let the Lord work his own plan out.
551. 43:13He's careful to watch over his own words.
552. 43:17Yes, and you know what it's interesting we're talking about
553. 43:23Israel Judaism Jewish people there was a psychologist Solomon Ash
554. 43:28And the Solomon Ash
555. 43:31conformity experiments back in the 1950s where they would do things where you know, maybe they would say gee is this
556. 43:39piece of paper, blue or red, and people would conform when the peer pressure was so intense,
557. 43:48people would be quiet on something they knew wasn't true, or because peer pressure is so
558. 43:56strong.
559. 43:57And the reason I'm bringing that up, Joel, is I think there probably are vast numbers
560. 44:03of Jewish people that do believe in Jesus, but maybe they're quiet about it, maybe like
561. 44:09Nicodemus initially was because the pure pressure, the social ramifications can be very strong
562. 44:16if you really, hey look, I grew up in the Bible belt and when I became a full out Christian
563. 44:22as a Gentile southerner, I mean my friends railed me, you know, everybody made fun of
564. 44:28me that my life had been changed by Jesus, so just multiply that times a thousand, the
565. 44:33pressure that's on a Jewish person who comes out as a follower of Jesus.
566. 44:38Yeah, because our people have suffered so much pain and sorrow at the hands of
567. 44:45people that called themselves Christians in the Spanish Inquisition in the Crusades even in the
568. 44:52Nazi concentration camps they would put up signs in the camps
569. 44:56You are being killed in the name of Jesus Christ and they would quote Martin Martin Luther and his
570. 45:03is the anti-Semitic rants.
571. 45:05And of course, our people remember these things.
572. 45:09So there is an emotional barrier.
573. 45:13Even before you get to the theological
574. 45:15or to the prophetic scriptures,
575. 45:17there's an emotional hurt.
576. 45:19There are wounds, deep wounds.
577. 45:22And those wounds, God is now healing
578. 45:25through the Christian Zionist movement
579. 45:28who is putting medicine on those wounds.
580. 45:31That's good.
581. 45:33but at the same time, the Messianic Jewish movement
582. 45:36is saying to our people, it's okay.
583. 45:39It's okay to be Jewish and believe in Yeshua or Jesus.
584. 45:43We were the ones that brought the good news
585. 45:47of the God of Israel and the Messiah of Israel
586. 45:50to the Greek and Roman world and beyond.
587. 45:53The Christian world is the harvest
588. 45:57of our forefather's work.
589. 45:59And our people just need to see that in action.
590. 46:03And it can change the nation very quickly
591. 46:07when they see Christians loving,
592. 46:09not only Israel and the Jewish people,
593. 46:12but also Messianic Jews,
594. 46:14and embracing Messianic Jews as their elder brother,
595. 46:19if you will.
596. 46:21Now there is a movement that they can interact with.
597. 46:26Now there are congregations in institutions
598. 46:28and organizations.
599. 46:30This is a prophetic period,
600. 46:31and it's moving towards the Messiah's deck and coming.
601. 46:36Joel, we've only got a few more moments,
602. 46:39and let me, before time, Fleet's way,
603. 46:40say what a privilege is to speak with you,
604. 46:43and I appreciate you on so many levels.
605. 46:46Before we get out of time, let me just ask you this.
606. 46:50Americans of all strata, and specifically Christian Americans,
607. 46:54what can we do to help Israel at this time?
608. 47:00Well, obviously we can pray for Israel.
609. 47:04The average person really does not have any power
610. 47:08to do something physically other than to pray.
611. 47:12However, if you want to stand with Israel,
612. 47:17you can stand with the Joseph Project International,
613. 47:21go to our website, joseaproject.org.
614. 47:24You can contribute there.
615. 47:27We will then take those funds and move goods
616. 47:30aid to Israel and those hurting in Israel like the terrorist victims and the displaced
617. 47:37Israelis and the idea.
618. 47:40We actually work with the idea helping them with GoPros and with Vests and we are now
619. 47:50helping cities with generators and so forth.
620. 47:53Go there and learn how you could partner.
621. 47:56shoulder under the burden of Israel and what they're dealing with now and show
622. 48:01your love for our Jewish people and for the Messiah in real acts of kindness to
623. 48:10our people in their dark hours as they're fighting the terrorists in the south
624. 48:15and in the north and on several fronts all at one time. This is a great
625. 48:21opportunity to stand with Israel in a tangible way with material goods.
