  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everybody.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  13. 0:37I'm your host, Abraham Hamilton III.
  14. 0:41Joined by the corner contingent today we have right across from me,
  15. 0:46your friendly neighborhood with a haulic, perpetually in recovery, however.
  16. 0:52None other than Mr. Marty Sparks, light up the dark from N studio today.
  17. 0:56And in the screening room, we have double four, your trouble, the lean and mean,
  18. 1:00whatever pristine cold green ladies and gentlemen is in the building and we have Richie Rich
  19. 1:05Man the phone lines for us, and we are ready to rock and roll
  20. 1:09With today's edition of the program at this moment many of you
  21. 1:13In that most of you are making your transition from your part-time jobs where you generate an income
  22. 1:18To your full-time jobs your full-time jobs are where we
  23. 1:23Called to be an outcome and as you do so I want to remind you to do so with
  24. 1:29intentionality
  25. 1:31understanding that what goes on in your house is far more important, far more important than
  26. 1:39what goes on in the White House. Even when we have a White House currently occupied by someone,
  27. 1:43let's just say it plainly. He's not calling the shots. That's just the reality. And we're living
  28. 1:53in precarious times as a nation. And I want to share with you just something that the Lord consistently
  29. 2:02reminds me of, that gives me great comfort in these precarious times.
  30. 2:07We're going to turn to the Word of God today in Matthew chapter 16.
  31. 2:15Matthew chapter 16 verse 18.
  32. 2:18This is where we're going to go.
  33. 2:20And as we're preparing for this, I want to just remind you that the first institution
  34. 2:25that God created was the family.
  35. 2:28He did that intentionally.
  36. 2:31He did that with specificity.
  37. 2:34He did that.
  38. 2:35Not only did it, but he recorded it for our benefit so that we would understand the primacy
  39. 2:40that we should place on family.
  40. 2:46It's very, very significant and especially when it comes down to the reality of being
  41. 2:52a parent, also known as chief, discipler.
  42. 2:58The facts are you don't get to go back and redo adolescence.
  43. 3:03You don't get to redo formation stages.
  44. 3:06So if you are in the place right now, and I know many of you who are listening to me, and
  45. 3:09God knows we're all in various stages of life.
  46. 3:11And we have a beautiful cross section of people from many different walks of life, many different
  47. 3:16stages of life who tune into this program.
  48. 3:18But I want to specifically take a moment to talk to those of you who are chief disciples,
  49. 3:22also known as parents.
  50. 3:25Let us work while it is day.
  51. 3:28You don't get to redo ages five, six, seven, eight.
  52. 3:32You don't get to go back and do 12 over again.
  53. 3:34You don't get to do 15 over again.
  54. 3:37A grandparents who are listening to me, we need you.
  55. 3:40We need you.
  56. 3:42Your children need you, your grandchildren need you.
  57. 3:43I know sometimes there are strange situations
  58. 3:46where grandparents may have a desire
  59. 3:49and the parents may be in a different place,
  60. 3:53in a different space.
  61. 3:54Listen, God knows he can lead you in those circumstances.
  62. 3:57I would never encourage grandparents
  63. 3:58to use cert or undermine the authority of their children.
  64. 4:03But what I have found in many instances
  65. 4:05when grandparents communicate to their children,
  66. 4:06even if the children are on the fence,
  67. 4:08about what they'd like to do with their grandchildren.
  68. 4:10I found that the parents have been grateful.
  69. 4:13I know that's not always the case.
  70. 4:14There are always exceptions.
  71. 4:17But you do not get to go back in, there's no mulligans.
  72. 4:22There's no parental mulligans.
  73. 4:24That's just the facts, you know?
  74. 4:27So let us take advantage of the time
  75. 4:30that God has given us.
  76. 4:32Let us endeavor with everything in us to keep
  77. 4:35the main thing, the main thing,
  78. 4:36and make sure our priorities are properly established,
  79. 4:40that we refuse to allow even important impressing matters
  80. 4:44of the national sort, of the international sort,
  81. 4:48refuse to allow those things to encroach upon you,
  82. 4:51to where they are effective in nullifying the potency
  83. 4:55of your witness that God desires to come,
  84. 4:58to work in you first and secondarily through you.
  85. 5:04To the word of God, Matthew chapter 16, verse 18,
  86. 5:09is the primary text that I want to discuss.
  87. 5:15And this is Jesus speaking.
  88. 5:17He's responding to.
  89. 5:18Well, let me go.
  90. 5:19Let me take a few steps back.
  91. 5:21I'll go back to verse 13.
  92. 5:24All right.
  93. 5:24The script says this.
  94. 5:25Now, when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea, Philippi, he asked his disciples,
  95. 5:31who do people say that the son of man is?
  96. 5:34And they said some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah and others, Jeremiah,
  97. 5:41or one of the prophets.
  98. 5:42He said to them, but who do you say that I am?
  99. 5:46Simon Peter replied, you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
  100. 5:54And Jesus answered him, blessed are you Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood has not revealed
  101. 6:00this to you.
  102. 6:01But my Father who was in heaven, and I tell you, you are Peter.
  103. 6:08And on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against
  104. 6:14it.
  105. 6:17I've discussed this before, the Greek words for Peter and Rock are similar and sounding,
  106. 6:22and so Jesus is using wordplay.
  107. 6:25But the rock that Jesus says he's going to build his church upon is not Peter the person,
  108. 6:29but is upon the revelation that Peter conveyed, that he in fact is the Christ, son of the living
  109. 6:35God.
  110. 6:37The portion of the text that continually rings in my heart as a great source of encouragement,
  111. 6:44especially in these precarious times that we're living in is Jesus said, I will build my church,
  112. 6:56make no mistake about her brothers and sisters. God is still building his church. I talked to a
  113. 7:05brother today who ministered at a camp for young people, 24 young people, wanted to be baptized
  114. 7:15because of their giving their life to Jesus Christ. All over our country is happening in other
  115. 7:20but I want you to know all over our country,
  116. 7:23Jesus is still drawing people to himself in saving faith.
  117. 7:26All over our country, you won't see headlines about this,
  118. 7:30you won't see the Crescent News Network,
  119. 7:33purportantness, you won't see MSDNC, reportness,
  120. 7:38you won't see the talking state media reporting this,
  121. 7:41God is still building your church brothers and sisters.
  122. 7:44And then Jesus not only said, I will build my church,
  123. 7:49He then added and the gates of hell
  124. 7:53will not prevail against her, will not prevail against it.
  125. 7:58I've explained before, largely speaking,
  126. 8:02what our gates, gates are instruments that are
  127. 8:06promulgated by and large to keep things out.
  128. 8:11Jesus says, the gates of hell
  129. 8:13will not prevail against his church.
  130. 8:16So let me be clear about something.
  131. 8:19It is no doubt about it.
  132. 8:20We're living in an age of massive deception.
  133. 8:25We're living in an age
  134. 8:27where the reality of spiritual warfare is evident
  135. 8:29on numerous fronts,
  136. 8:31numerous fronts,
  137. 8:37demonic activity is evident on numerous fronts,
  138. 8:43overt blasphemy all over the airwaves.
  139. 8:47You can't allow your children to watch
  140. 8:51the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games.
  141. 8:55And I saw people trying to argue whether or not,
  142. 8:57I mean, it's hilarious trying to argue it's whether or not,
  143. 9:00oh, well, that wasn't meant to be
  144. 9:01a mockery against Christ and against the Lord,
  145. 9:04the last supper and all,
  146. 9:05I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, stop, stop, stop, stop.
  147. 9:07You got bearded ladies prancing around on TV.
  148. 9:13That's a complete mockery and denial of who God said
  149. 9:15he had made his image bearers to be male and female.
  150. 9:18And stop the presses, man.
  151. 9:21Stop the presses.
  152. 9:21It just amazes me, the, the, the, the, the, the,
  153. 9:24I know I know people like gymnastics and flexibility
  154. 9:27and all, but the amount of elasticity, elasticity people
  155. 9:30who are trying to bend themselves and contort themselves
  156. 9:32out of the saying, no, that wasn't an attempt to mock.
  157. 9:37Excuse me, God is the one who said he made them both male and female.
  158. 9:43Efforts to display men as women and women as men is a direct affront to God's divine
  159. 9:50creational design, in addition to the intentional efforts.
  160. 9:58And I mean, I can go down to show you the receipts, but I'm not going to do all of that.
  161. 10:03One, I'm not going to show the blasphemous stuff on this show.
  162. 10:05Secondarily, you know, discernment is a feature of spiritual maturity.
  163. 10:13You don't have to have, you know,
  164. 10:17green beret level discernment recognized.
  165. 10:20Bearded women and not necessarily an effort to,
  166. 10:26to be welcoming to the Christians who may want to watch this Olympiad, you know,
  167. 10:33but Jesus said not Abe, not Bobby,
  168. 10:37he's not here today. He didn't say it either. You know,
  169. 10:41The Everpresteane, Coke, Green,
  170. 10:44Y'all just see him, the man is always sharp,
  171. 10:45but he ain't said, Jesus said,
  172. 10:47I will build my church and the gates of hell
  173. 10:50will not prevail against it.
  174. 10:52So take heart, I know there are conversations about,
  175. 10:54people say, well, this is a threat to the gospel.
  176. 10:56Can I just tell you plainly?
  177. 10:57There's no such thing as a threat to the Lord's gospel.
  178. 11:00There are efforts to hinder the advancement
  179. 11:03of the Lord's gospel.
  180. 11:04There are efforts to try to destroy the Lord's church.
  181. 11:06There are efforts to persecute the Lord's bride,
  182. 11:09but make no mistake about it.
  183. 11:10And the scripture actually is the primary source
  184. 11:13that we have to confirm the demonstration of what Jesus said.
  185. 11:17This crazy thing by the Lord's bride.
  186. 11:20The more Nero attempted to persecute the Lord's church,
  187. 11:23something amazing happened.
  188. 11:26You know, it's like the Bebe kids,
  189. 11:28the ecclesiastical version, we don't die, we multiply.
  190. 11:35As the world is darkened increasingly,
  191. 11:38what happens is that people who are casualties
  192. 11:44the darkness, they invariably begin to look for a way out.
  193. 11:47That's why you have people like, we talked about Richard Dawkins as rebellious as he is.
  194. 11:53He wants to say things like, well, I'm a culture Christian.
  195. 11:55You know, I like the, you know, he likes to feature the Christianity.
  196. 11:59He just has the problem with Jesus.
  197. 12:00He doesn't realize what he's been working towards his entire life.
  198. 12:04Doesn't allow the cathedrals to stay around, bro.
  199. 12:08Think you've been trying to destroy.
  200. 12:09Now you realize, oh, and you're being overrun.
  201. 12:15Christian heritage is being overrun. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
  202. 12:19Elon Musk talking about he's a cultural Christian. Oh, the cultural Christians now, huh?
  203. 12:24And I pray that the Lord would open their eyes that they fully understand
  204. 12:28to where they come to the place where they're not merely seeking seeking our Lord's hand
  205. 12:31where they seek his face. I want to challenge and encourage everybody who is tuning into this program
  206. 12:38now to refuse to become despondent, to refuse to attempt to, not attempt but to allow the flesh
  207. 12:45to drive your engagement in this time period.
  208. 12:52But remember what Jesus said,
  209. 12:54I will build my church and the gates of hell
  210. 12:59will not prevail against my church.
  211. 13:05And let that statement of inevitable truth
  212. 13:13drive your engagement to where you are apart.
  213. 13:16You are the hands and feet of Jesus.
  214. 13:20will advance his purposes, even in the face of overt hostility,
  215. 13:24even in the face of adverse circumstances, even in the face
  216. 13:30of a world that is revealing Western civilization,
  217. 13:36much like Judah and was confronted by the prophet Isaiah,
  218. 13:40much as we saw throughout the book of Judges,
  219. 13:42much as we see throughout script and various iterations, Western civilization
  220. 13:46has largely turned its back on the Lord.
  221. 13:49But that we loving our Lord so much so that we love what He loved,
  222. 13:53that we are moved by what moves him,
  223. 13:56that we recognize that the harvest is plentiful,
  224. 14:00the harvest is plentiful,
  225. 14:02and we welcome the Lord to drive us
  226. 14:08to be exponents of his will being fulfilled,
  227. 14:12that we are found doing what the Lord has called us
  228. 14:15to be salt and light in every iteration of what that means,
  229. 14:20refusing to be lightly salted.
  230. 14:23And we take advantage of the opportunities
  231. 14:25and the liberties that we still have
  232. 14:27to execute our Lord's commission.
  233. 14:30This is our privilege.
  234. 14:33This is our portion.
  235. 14:35This is our heritage.
  236. 14:37And this is what we must be about in this time period.
  237. 14:40We have the opportunity brothers and sisters
  238. 14:42in this day and age to be what our ancestors in the faith
  239. 14:47was in their times.
  240. 14:48And here's the hallelujah celebration point
  241. 14:52that after faithful labor here, eternal life,
  242. 14:56hours. A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker. Proverbs 31 is a chapter that's
  243. 15:06unique in a number of ways. It's largely what a young man, a young king
  244. 15:11remembered that his mother taught him. And you know sometimes if you're reading
  245. 15:14this passage you just might miss that. But remember this, this young man remembered
  246. 15:20a lot of things his mother taught him. It's so important to understand parents,
  247. 15:25are children are listening.
  248. 15:27They're listening and learning from you every single day.
  249. 15:30You know, often the devil will try to tell you
  250. 15:32your children are listening to you,
  251. 15:34and parents sometimes will say,
  252. 15:35my children don't listen to me.
  253. 15:36Parents, they are listening.
  254. 15:38They're listening sometimes when you want them to,
  255. 15:41and they're listening sometimes when you don't want them to.
  256. 15:42They're picking up on things you didn't mean for them to hear
  257. 15:45because they are listening.
  258. 15:47So may we as parents and grandparents make the most of our time
  259. 15:50of teaching, training, guiding, and molding our children.
  260. 15:55Yes, they are listening.
  261. 15:58While in the emergency room with my wife, as she was struggling with the COVID-19 virus herself,
  262. 16:06and I looked at her, I said, are you scared?
  263. 16:08And she said a little bit, but I've been through worse.
  264. 16:12The certainty of mankind's history with uncertainty, an article by Peter Rosenberger.
  265. 16:17And then, as her fever was approaching almost 103, she started singing in Christ alone.
  266. 16:23alone. I placed my trust and found my glory and the power of cross. And that's how she
  267. 16:29has anchored herself in the certainty of Christ through her huge medical journey that has included
  268. 16:3480 surgeries both of her legs amputated, 100 doctors have treated, 12 hospitals, and now
  269. 16:40the COVID-19 virus. And so when we live with those kinds of uncertainties, anchoring ourselves
  270. 16:46in Christ in Christ alone, that's the only place we can run to where there is certainty.

  314. 20:14display because quite frankly, sorry to me, it's around social media.
  315. 20:28Most of you, many of you have already seen it and I don't want to give a another view of
  316. 20:35that, of that trash frankly is what it was.
  317. 20:37was intentionally promulgated to mock. You know, I often reflect on this is this really goes without
  318. 20:45saying, there's no way they would have done anything like that in Paris mocking Islam.
  319. 20:59Because the opening of the Olympic ceremony would have been the end of the Olympics.
  320. 21:05That is Paris is the same country where they had the Charlie Hebdo affair from not too long ago
  321. 21:10over a cartoon, let alone an event where, according to reports, a billion people watch
  322. 21:16the opening to the Olympic ceremony, a billion people. And it's just further indication of
  323. 21:26the efforts that are being employed really to normalize the rebellion that is prevalent
  324. 21:37currently in Western civilization. It's interesting how easily people would like to enjoy the
  325. 21:45features of Western civilization, but we'll ignore what is
  326. 21:48transpired that created the fulcrum of what Western
  327. 21:52civilization became. You know, there is no Western civilization
  328. 21:58without the revelation of scripture. Oh, thank you, Robin
  329. 22:04is correcting my pronouncement of Darbon is Darbon, Darbon, Darbon.
  330. 22:09All right, Darbon. Thank you. I get it together one of these days.
  331. 22:16But if you're not supposed to use the posture, why is it a
  332. 22:18posh or even the word, you know, I hate, hey, I'm not gonna make a problem. If you're not
  333. 22:23that I'm just saying, Darbon church of Christ in Louisiana, Farmer Villaluisiana. Alright,
  334. 22:30but getting back to this Olympic situation, it's just like many of you, I had a range of
  335. 22:41emotions when I saw it. And in my concern is not limited to, you know, you're from the
  336. 22:53is this is true. I know about words that are not pronounced the way that they are spelled.
  337. 22:58We'll start that. But it's sickening to me the evidence of the scripture's truth.
  338. 23:10Let me explain what I mean. Jesus said to us in the word of God tells us as it was in the days
  339. 23:15of Noah, you know, when men jettisoned any reverence for God and did what was right in their own eyes,
  340. 23:23You know, but I was right in their own eye.
  341. 23:27And it's amazing as many people that want to discount the existence of God,
  342. 23:31how frequently they seek to end to be specific to mock God as if you feel themselves in scripture.
  343. 23:39Now, I know the Last Supper portrayal is a picture.
  344. 23:44That's not a book chapter in verse scripture, but I'm talking about what God said he made mankind to be.
  345. 23:52You see, don't don't don't limit your ire to the depiction of the last Supper.
  346. 23:58Supper, I want you to take a few steps back and look at the mering of the Amago day.
  347. 24:05God has announced who he and how he has designed his image bearers.
  348. 24:12Men continuing the perpetuation of the talking snake are living the reality of what did
  349. 24:21God surely say?
  350. 24:24You won't.
  351. 24:25surely die in the Hebrew there is you want moose moose you won't die die I mean
  352. 24:31which is deceptive in and of itself because when the conversation between the slithering snake
  353. 24:34talking snake and Eve is taking place Eve has no concept for what death is because there's no
  354. 24:39such thing as death prior to Genesis chapter three in the human experience so she is having a
  355. 24:44conversation that violates God's order from the top God said he delegated his authority to mankind
  356. 24:51mankind therefore had the delegated authority to rule over the beasts of the field.
  357. 24:57But the Genesis 3 phenomenon is a rebellion in the entirety because you have the beast,
  358. 25:06the serpent, conversing, and suggesting what is truth to God's image peers. Combined with,
  359. 25:17with the physical presence and functional absence of Adam, who as Genesis 3 lays out,
  360. 25:22was there the whole time. But when I saw that, it immediately made me think,
  361. 25:31well, not immediately, as I pondered it, rather I should say, as I pondered what happened in Paris
  362. 25:39at the beginning of the Olympics. The Lord brought back to my memory the French Revolution of 1789.
  363. 25:48Now, why am I bringing that up? I am bringing up the French Revolution and I'm
  364. 25:53mentioning the French Revolution of 1789 because France had subnumerous, subsequent revolutions
  365. 25:58that were less significant, but the French Revolution of 1789 is one that many who polyver
  366. 26:33seminal work on democracy, where the tokville observed in comparing the American Revolution
  367. 26:41and the downstream consequences to the French Revolution. He said he sought for the genius
  368. 26:49of the American experiment, the impetus of its fight for freedom, the impetus of its nation,
  369. 26:54and its founding. He sought for it, and its banking system didn't find it there. Sought
  370. 26:59for it, and its halls of government didn't find it there. It was not until he entered
  371. 27:03America's churches with the pulpits are flamed in righteousness.
  372. 27:07And there he concluded, America is great because America is good.
  373. 27:15The goodness flowing from the moral foundings of our nation,
  374. 27:21directly being attributed to reverence and submission to all my tall
  375. 27:26mighty God, imperfectly, absolutely.
  376. 27:30But having that as a foundational component led to,
  377. 27:34for to say, America is great because she is good. Then he added the warning, the moment America ceases
  378. 27:40to be good, she will cease to be great. He made that observation in direct contrast to the French
  379. 27:47who sought to achieve la libretté that the Americans enjoyed absent any reverence for God.
  380. 27:56The 1789 to 1799 French Revolution, which led to the ascendance of Napoleon Bonaparte,
  381. 28:05One of the major features of what transpired after the bloody French Revolution of 1789
  382. 28:12was their efforts to establish a work week, but they wanted to abandon any trappings of scripture, any trappings of God.
  383. 28:20And so they realized, well, really, there's only one explanation for the seven-day work week, it is because of the creation narrative.
  384. 28:26Six days of work in the seven-day of rest, well, they had the genius idea, not so genius,
  385. 28:34that we're going to change the work. We're going to have a 10 day work week. Oh, this happened.
  386. 28:4010 day work week, replete with the calendars called a French Republican calendar.
  387. 28:45So, whether or not only we have 10 days in a work week, we're going to have three weeks in a month
  388. 28:48and you have 10 hours in a day. But they did this explicitly because they sought to build
  389. 28:53a nation void of God. Come on, look at the French Republican calendar, a 10 day work week.
  390. 29:02Well, not only was it impractical and didn't work out very well. This is funny thing when
  391. 29:07and men seek to achieve freedom without God.
  392. 29:12It always results in abuse.
  393. 29:16And so I was reminded of that
  394. 29:19after watching the French display.
  395. 29:22And I get it, you know, whenever people want to lie
  396. 29:24in public, they always want to hide behind art.
  397. 29:27You know, you want to lie about
  398. 29:29intimate relationships between men and women.
  399. 29:30Yes, art.
  400. 29:31You know, you're gonna call pornography art.
  401. 29:33It's art, free speaking.
  402. 29:35It's not art, it's filth.
  403. 29:39It's abuse.
  404. 29:41It's corrupting.
  405. 29:44destructive. What we witnessed with the opening ceremony really simply a punctuation of what
  406. 29:55is in society. There are lots of people that object to a public display of a lack of reverence
  407. 30:05for God. When we walk by a lack of reverence for God on display every day, every day, every
  408. 30:12day, and I've said numerous times, man, the world is going to world. So as much as I was
  409. 30:18was called and as much as I was disgusted by the display,
  410. 30:24I was not surprised.
  411. 30:27I was not surprised because the world is going to world.
  412. 30:34Question I have for the believer is how much will we live
  413. 30:42what we profess, what we put into practice,
  414. 30:45what we know to be true, will we function
  415. 30:47as if we believe for the word of God's sake?
  416. 30:51And I know that God has a remnant in our nation.
  417. 30:54what I am speaking to is more broadly.
  418. 30:57Now, where are our true affections?
  419. 31:00Where are our true engagements?
  420. 31:04You know, I find it to be quite puzzling to have a people
  421. 31:09that are concerned, have people that are concerned
  422. 31:12about the public blasming me on display,
  423. 31:15yet they have homes of prayerlessness.
  424. 31:19You know, hire appropriate hire at a public blasming
  425. 31:25display, but we don't necessarily prioritize
  426. 31:29worship of the Lord in our homes, you know, proper rebuke, disdain for the
  427. 31:39blasphemous French display, not as much interesting interest in being obedient
  428. 31:45in what we know God has called us to do.
  429. 31:53And I'm explaining this because the events and there's going to be kind of
  430. 31:56a themes throughout today's show that I believe the Lord is allowing the world
  431. 32:02to see what it looks like when the people become conveniently ignorant of the
  432. 32:09creator. This is what it looks like. This is what it looks like. You have a people who are boldly
  433. 32:17ignorant. You have a people who are brazen, who are brash in their rebellion. This is what it looks
  434. 32:26like. This is what it looks like because ideas have consequences. Bad ideas create casualties.
  435. 32:34people who are intent on rebelling against God, unfortunately, will eat the fruit of the
  436. 32:47seed they've sown unless they repent, unless they repent. So my concern, and I get it, I
  437. 32:57will never try to intrude in anybody's consciences. You know, I was saddened for people who have
  438. 33:05trained their lives to accomplish these athletic feats and things of that nature. But the
  439. 33:13The fact is God will not be mocked.
  440. 33:18It's not that God is slack concerning his promises.
  441. 33:21He's just long suffering.
  442. 33:23When the scripture talks about God not being mocked, it's not communicating some type of
  443. 33:29like God is majoring on retribution.
  444. 33:33It's literally saying, oh, you can't mock God.
  445. 33:38No matter how big you think you may be, you can't mock God.
  446. 33:42You can try that.
  447. 33:43But it's not going to work.
  448. 33:46And it caused me to have sober, urgent concern for the people of France, yes, but more so
  449. 33:56for the people of our own country.
  450. 33:59You know, there are lots of folks that are talking about making America great again.
  451. 34:04Proverbs 1434, just echoes in my heart.
  452. 34:07Righteousness, exols, and nation.
  453. 34:10Sin is our approach to any people.
  454. 34:13And if we are not intentional about what God is requiring of us, our nation, we're not,
  455. 34:21nowhere near where we're not where France is currently. But with anyone object to the fact that we're
  456. 34:26on the exact same trajectory that led to France being where it is currently, we're on a similar
  457. 34:32trajectory folks. We're on a similar trajectory. And those who are seeking to establish some
  458. 34:41penchant of some semblance of American prosperity but void of God, I just want to warn you now
  459. 34:50What you saw with the Blue Man group is where America's headed.
  460. 35:01Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.
  461. 35:03You look at three of the four justices there in Colorado that voted to remove him from the
  462. 35:08ballot.
  463. 35:09They all came from Ivy League schools.
  464. 35:11Schools that had been created as divinity schools.
  465. 35:14What a picture of the apostasy in America when it comes to the church.

  475. 36:01Who am I?
  476. 36:02This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian World of View.
  477. 36:06While asking who am I leads to subjective answers, the far better question is, who does
  478. 36:11God say that I am?
  479. 36:14That question leads to an objective, truthful answer to which we can align our thinking and
  480. 36:19living.
  481. 36:20The psalmist said, know that the Lord himself is God.
  482. 36:24It is he who has made us, and not we ourselves.
  483. 36:28Anchor yourself in who your Creator says you are, rather than the shifting sands of who
  484. 36:34you think you are or want to be.

  491. 36:5980% of the time, an abortion-minded mother who views an ultrasound or sonogram of her baby will
  492. 37:06choose life.
  493. 37:07Here's the story of Canvas.
  494. 37:09The sonogram sealed the deal for me.
  495. 37:12My baby was like this tiny little spectrum of hope.
  496. 37:17I saw his heart beating on the screen, and knowing that there's life growing inside,
  497. 37:23I mean, that sonogram changed my life.
  498. 37:29I went from just Candice to Mom.
  499. 37:32Thank you to everybody that has given these gifts.
  500. 37:37You guys are giving more than money.

  511. 38:08Your news from a Christian perspective.
  512. 38:10Hundreds of teachers are going to have to walk
  513. 38:12into that school building and they are forced to swallow
  514. 38:15political ideology, then in many cases,
  515. 38:18the highlights are very safe and constant.

  521. 38:41Back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  522. 38:45Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham,
  523. 38:47the third here, man, I just want to say as a career major
  524. 38:57felony prosecutor, man, I so appreciate the hard work that law
  525. 39:02enforcement officers do and the diligence that they employ,
  526. 39:06the professionalism that they employ, the stressors on the job,
  527. 39:13it's unimaginable.
  528. 39:14This is why I tell people all the time, there's no such thing as a routine
  529. 39:16traffic style.
  530. 39:17No such thing.
  531. 39:19No such thing.
  532. 39:20isn't as no system as a routine encounter because you have all kinds of
  533. 39:24variables that come into play.
  534. 39:29But when I saw the video of Sonya Massey, who as it's reported, called the
  535. 39:37police because of suspected burglar in her home and she ended up being shot by a
  536. 39:42law enforcement officer.
  537. 39:43And again, I understand the details based on what was present in the video.
  538. 39:48You know, the police officers in the video are announcing commands and she went
  539. 39:53towards a pot I believe they had something hot in the pot.
  540. 39:55But considering the distance they were,
  541. 39:57the police officers were from.
  542. 40:01Massey has depicted in the video
  543. 40:02and I know there are lots of investigation going on
  544. 40:04and I believe the officer who discharged his firearm
  545. 40:07in that instance has been indicted
  546. 40:12based on an unjustified use of, use of deadly force.
  547. 40:18It's heartbreaking.
  548. 40:21And I just, I pray for the Massey family
  549. 40:27and for the family.
  550. 40:30of this officer because this is horrendous, horrendous circumstance. And it's one of the reasons why
  551. 40:41we need to have a society that cultivates appropriate interaction with law enforcement
  552. 40:49officers. And based on the depiction in the video, and I know everything is being investigated,
  553. 40:57but it does call into question whether or not there was a reasonable perception
  554. 41:00and bother to just the firearm discharging officers,
  555. 41:05whether or not they were, whether he was
  556. 41:07under the imminent threat of harm from Sonia Massey.
  557. 41:15It's a heartbreaking scenario.
  558. 41:19Now I wanna continue on with the theme of,
  559. 41:23I believe God is displaying for everyone to see,
  560. 41:26you know, the scripture says over and over and over,
  561. 41:28you have eyes to see, you have ears to heal,
  562. 41:31him who has ears to hear, let him hear,
  563. 41:33evidence of where we are going as United States of America unless we change course. Many of
  564. 41:43you have heard me and I remember presenting this publicly. There's some events with the
  565. 41:50family research council. And when I said Venezuela is a contemporary example of what happens when
  566. 41:57any people embraces, when any people decide to embrace socialism. You know, you have people
  567. 42:03in our country that try to cloak the evil and the evils of socialism behind the term democratic.
  568. 42:12It's like as if that makes it better, you know, like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren,
  569. 42:17I'm a democratic socialist. Like that makes it better. You know, I'd be like,
  570. 42:23like my home was in the West coast of total. They don't make it, they don't make it any better fool.
  571. 42:27That doesn't mean the better fool, you know, calling it democratic socialism doesn't make
  572. 42:31it better, it's like, oh, oh, so this is, this is escrowment,
  573. 42:37but this is designer escrowment, like, that makes it better?
  574. 42:42No.
  575. 42:48And the Venezuela is a cautionary tale.
  576. 42:54And I'm bringing this up because yesterday, Sunday,
  577. 43:00Venezuela had elections for the presidency, right?
  578. 43:06And the first thing that came to my mom's like,
  579. 43:08I'm not scouring the details of Venezuelan politics.
  580. 43:12I'm like, why do I have an election on a Sunday?
  581. 43:15You know, and then I learned a little bit of studying,
  582. 43:17a little bit of learning.
  583. 43:18Oh, they set the election on that date
  584. 43:20because they wanted to commemorate the birthday
  585. 43:22of Hugo Chavez.
  586. 43:26Now, when you tell me that you have an election day dedicated
  587. 43:30to celebrate the birth date of Hugo Chavez,
  588. 43:33I already get an indication of where things is gonna go.
  589. 43:37You know, I kind of already have an idea.
  590. 43:39But the Venezuelan people have suffered, man.
  591. 43:44But I want you to take a few steps back and remember, Venezuela wasn't always a socialist
  592. 43:51nation.
  593. 43:52But, as well, even as we sit today, has the largest deposits of crude oil in the world.
  594. 43:59Used to have the fourth, fifth, third, fourth, and fifth largest economy, largest GDP, GDP
  595. 44:05in the world.
  596. 44:06Then something crazy happened.
  597. 44:10They went for democratic socialism.
  598. 44:16attempt led by Hugo Chavez, similar to Fidel Castro and Cuba, by the way, where a violent
  599. 44:24coup of the existing presidency was attempted.
  600. 44:27Chavez failed the first time, but then shortly thereafter, Hugo Chavez was democratically
  601. 44:32elected by the Venezuelan people in 1998.
  602. 44:36I want you to remember that.
  603. 44:40Hugo Chavez was democratically elected in 1998.
  604. 44:50After he got elected, guess what happened?
  605. 44:52Now, Joe, I know the rest of this story had this unfolded.
  606. 44:55One of the first things that Hugo Chavez did, enjoying the benefit of the oil, the riches
  607. 45:01of the nation because of the prevalence of prevalence of oil, what are the first things
  608. 45:06he sought to do was use something called the Enabling Act for the express purposes of stop
  609. 45:16me if you heard this before, redistributing wealth from the mini according to their ability
  610. 45:26to the mini according to their knee.
  611. 45:28You heard that before?
  612. 45:30Of course redistribution of wealth.
  613. 45:34Followed by, drum roll please,
  614. 45:37Pfffffft, nationalization of industry.
  615. 45:44Followed shortly thereafter by,
  616. 45:48new regulations on the media,
  617. 45:51new laws for prison time for
  618. 45:54slandering public figures.
  619. 45:56Haha, yeah, yeah.
  620. 46:02All the way up to, ultimately,
  621. 46:06was the disarming of the Venezuelan populace.
  622. 46:09Through gun control.
  623. 46:14Prior to the gun control in possession from the government,
  624. 46:18you had the amendment, you know,
  625. 46:21that the Venezuelan people voted for
  626. 46:23of their Venezuelan constitution
  627. 46:25to allow the president to serve
  628. 46:27an unlimited number of terms.
  629. 46:30Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  630. 46:31But remember this started with one vote.
  631. 46:37Hugo Chavez would have continued in power
  632. 46:40had he not passed away in 2013 from cancer.
  633. 46:43But when he passed away, who took power?
  634. 46:47Form a bus driver, his confidant, Nicholas Maduro,
  635. 46:53who now is running for his third term,
  636. 46:54the last election it even caused Bernie Sanders.
  637. 46:57Bernie Sanders is a de-election,
  638. 47:00and Venezuela was less than free.
  639. 47:03Yeah, Bernie, understatement of the year.
  640. 47:10You had massive energy in Venezuela.
  641. 47:15From a people who had just endured such an economic collapse,
  642. 47:19to where thousands of in israelan boulevards the local currency
  643. 47:23not worth anything like toilet paper
  644. 47:25with air using in vin as well american dollars
  645. 47:29because the nation is just gone on
  646. 47:32the government imposed fifteen pound per citizen diet whether trying to break in
  647. 47:35the zoo to try to
  648. 47:36fine food
  649. 47:39as this just happened
  650. 47:41and so there was a massive ground swell
  651. 47:44of support
  652. 47:45for the opposition to nicholas material
  653. 47:47but y'all know how to election pandale right
  654. 47:52but a couple of the other greatest hits.
  655. 47:54That just, I'm like, wow, man, this is happening right now.
  656. 47:56Hope the American people are paying attention.
  657. 47:58The opposition leader was actually a woman
  658. 48:00by the name of Maria Corina Machado.
  659. 48:05But Nicholas Maduro used his Supreme Court to declare
  660. 48:08Ms. Machado could not run for office for the next 15 years.
  661. 48:16So she garnered the support of a man
  662. 48:21by the name of Edmundo Gonzalez.
  663. 48:25And you should have saw, and I know this,
  664. 48:28because my wife and I watched a lot of this in real time.
  665. 48:30The Venezuelan people and Spanish talking about how excited
  666. 48:33they were that they know Gonzalez won the election.
  667. 48:35They won the election.
  668. 48:36They came out in the streets that was celebrating until
  669. 48:39it Monday morning to where the official declaration was.
  670. 48:44Who do y'all think it was?
  671. 48:45Did the player win her?
  672. 48:48Nicholas Maduro and out of Venezuelan people are decimated.
  673. 48:56It was interesting that when my doodle was campaign
  674. 49:03painting, you see. He said some of the quiet parts out loud,
  675. 49:10and that he said, well, I'm the only candidate that has the
  676. 49:12support of the military. Like, wait a minute, the do you say it
  677. 49:17here? But I want you to hear for yourself clip number one, go.
  678. 49:26I am the only candidate who has the support of the people's power
  679. 49:30and the communities. Because I am the only candidate who has the
  680. 49:34strong support of the Venezuelan military.
  681. 49:36And one of the things you need to be aware of, seeing places like Venezuela, the military
  682. 49:45is also the police.
  683. 49:49So he's just saying out loud what everybody already knows.
  684. 49:53That oh, we dare say we don't like, oh Nick, we'll have a visit.
  685. 49:56It's like, that's not the flex you think it is, bro.
  686. 49:59Saying that the military, you don't only have this water military, but you keep them
  687. 50:02on payroll because they're your goonsquad.
  688. 50:04To enforce your will upon the Venezuelan people that was already stripped from their private
  689. 50:09So all that they have now is right to protest,
  690. 50:12which if you know anything about Venezuela's history,
  691. 50:14routinely faces strong government reprisals.
  692. 50:18I'll just say it that way.
  693. 50:21But one of the other things that were interesting,
  694. 50:24that you had dignitaries from different countries
  695. 50:26who wanted to go and see just how free these elections were
  696. 50:31in Venezuela.
  697. 50:33And then something amazing happened.
  698. 50:35It just so happened that they weren't allowed
  699. 50:38to leave their home countries
  700. 50:40because of Venezuelan airports conveniently closed down to some of them.
  701. 50:43Listen to clip number two, go.
  702. 50:46Panama's Foreign Ministry says a plane carrying four former Latin American presidents has not
  703. 50:51been allowed to take off.
  704. 50:53That's after their destination country, Venezuela closed its airspace.
  705. 50:58The former Panamanian, Mexican, Costa Rican, and Bolivian presidents were planning and observing
  706. 51:02Sunday's presidential election in Venezuela.
  707. 51:05Caracas, however, denies that it prevented the former leaders from entering. President
  708. 51:10Nicholas Maduro is seeking a third six-year term in office.
  709. 51:15Now, it's interesting that dignitaries from those countries weren't allowed in, but guess where
  710. 51:21dignitaries from other countries were allowed in to view just how fair their elections were.
  711. 51:28People from Iran and from China and from Russia and from communist leaning, Colombia,
  712. 51:36They're people were allowed in to see just how fair the elections were why am I explaining all of this?
  713. 51:44Similar to the reason I talked to you about what happened in Paris guys make no mistake about it
  714. 51:50this
  715. 51:52Is what is going to transpire in America unless we change course?
  716. 51:57You know you got people talking about cackling camera like
  717. 52:02And you think it's just a game
  718. 52:05Guys, this is where this is the trajectory that we're on currently
  719. 52:09Do I have to remind you about all of the efforts to try to use the courts to toward
  720. 52:15President Trump's reelection bid?
  721. 52:16Do I have to talk about the continuous efforts to implement pieces of the communist manifesto,
  722. 52:24policy, policy plank by policy plank, little by little, get in the country addicted to
  723. 52:30these features of socialism and then to get the American populace more comfortable with
  724. 52:38saying things like democratic socialism.
  725. 52:42Like stop the presses.
  726. 52:43We have people in our own country
  727. 52:45that were lining up ready to vote for a socialist.
  728. 52:49But you know, he put that little democratic modifier
  729. 52:51on the front of it.
  730. 52:52I'll tell you again, like I've said before,
  731. 52:53you only get to vote for socialism one time.
  732. 52:56The people in Venezuela, even in the capital city of Caracas,
  733. 53:00don't want Maduro, but guess what?
  734. 53:03They can't do anything about it
  735. 53:06because they voted for socialism once.
  736. 53:09and once socialism gets in,
  737. 53:12you think socialism is gonna say,
  738. 53:13oh, you know what?
  739. 53:16You think Maduro's gonna go,
  740. 53:17oh, you know what, I realized
  741. 53:19the people that Venezuela don't want me in office anymore.
  742. 53:21You know what guys, I'm going to resign.
  743. 53:25It hasn't happened.
  744. 53:27We better wake up in our country.
  745. 53:30We better wake up because you only get to vote
  746. 53:32for socialism once.
  747. 53:35And once you do, socialism won't allow you to vote again.
  748. 53:41Because as you know very well,
  749. 53:43The underpinning the undergirding worldview of socialism is an atheistic framework.
  750. 53:50The key of Western civilization was individual liberty, the rights and freedoms of the individual.
  751. 53:56The individual liberty and dignity of the individual is something that flows directly
  752. 54:00from the understanding of the Amago Day.
  753. 54:03Reject God the Amago Day is a casualty.
