Welfare is Welfare No Matter Which Side of the Aisle It Originates

Politics & Policy

Show notes

Abraham highlights the necessity of assessing our resources and capabilities to engage effectively in our communities, rather than relying on external solutions. He passionately critiques a recent proposal from Vice President JD Vance regarding the Child Care Net and Development Fund, arguing against the dangers of expanding government welfare as a solution to societal issues.

  10. 0:28And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the third is my name.
  13. 0:38I am the host of the program joined by the Corner contingent.
  14. 0:42Right across from me, my man, 100 grand Mr. Bobby,
  15. 0:45on the road side, he's pondering whether or not.
  16. 0:50The New York City Islamianists will be allowed to attend
  17. 0:55Ground Zero, September 11th.
  18. 0:59Observations and solemn ceremonies.
  19. 1:04I mean, he is the mayor of New York City.
  20. 1:08Somebody explained that to me how you have Muslim extremists who crash planes into the towers,
  21. 1:17and yet New York City turns around and what, about 25 years later and say,
  22. 1:21hey, why don't we welcome somebody that into the mayor's office, a little bit of that.
  23. 1:27I hear, and I heaved, so round and more round, didn't run a plane to anybody.
  24. 1:32I get it, I get it.
  25. 1:36I guess it's just peaceful iftar dinners in the mayor's office.
  26. 1:41And it's amazing how many globalized
  27. 1:47intafada adherence just so happened to comprise
  28. 1:54Mom Donnie's office and advisors and staff
  29. 2:01and things of that nature.
  30. 2:02I guess it's just coincidence.
  31. 2:04And by the way, do you know what Mom Donnie's parents,
  32. 2:06But they wrote and supported and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
  33. 2:13I'm sure he's nothing like his parents, all right?
  34. 2:15No.
  35. 2:18In addition to Mr. Rosa, we have our friendly neighborhood
  36. 2:22Willaholic who can leap tall stacks of birch in a single bound,
  37. 2:27perpetually in recovery.
  38. 2:29Mr. Marty Sparks lightened up the dark from the screening room
  39. 2:32and we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition
  40. 2:35of the program.
  41. 2:36At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part-time jobs
  42. 2:40where you generate an income to your full-time jobs, where you cultivate an outcome.
  43. 2:44And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family,
  44. 2:52and welcoming God's view to govern, to guard, and to guide your view.
  45. 3:01If we would welcome the Lord to grasp a hold of us and our families, there is no question as to what could happen.
  46. 3:07in our societies and I want to remind you and this is going to carry over into what we're
  47. 3:11going to talk about from the Lord's Word from Mark chapter 6 today. But I want to remind
  48. 3:16you guys that you are not alive today by mere happenstance. That God has sovereignly and
  49. 3:23divinely orchestrated for you to be alive right now. The majority, the overwhelming majority
  50. 3:29of this audience is here that we have some people who listen from overseas and other
  51. 3:34But American Family Radio is housed right here in these United States of America, the greatest
  52. 3:40nation in history and human history.
  53. 3:43And it is by God's divine providence that you and I are alive and our citizens in this country
  54. 3:48at this moment.
  55. 3:51With all of the insanity that's swirling about, I mean, you got James Tallifrico all of a sudden
  56. 3:57one in the act like he's a Texan.
  57. 3:59You know, now he likes, you know, staking.
  58. 4:02Trucks, I got a truck.
  59. 4:04Now, now he does.
  60. 4:06When before he just wanted, you know,
  61. 4:07I'm a Christian who hates Christianity
  62. 4:09and God is non-binary and I hate barbecue
  63. 4:14and why do you need big trucks and,
  64. 4:16oh yeah, yeah, yeah, oil, oil is destroying our environment.
  65. 4:22But now he's in the general election,
  66. 4:24all of a sudden, well, I mean, come on,
  67. 4:27it's not beauty and the beast is more beastly than beauty,
  68. 4:31but it's tail as old as time, you know?
  69. 4:33It's general election time,
  70. 4:34I see we can get a few people to act like all I have been up at this moment is completely
  71. 4:38irrelevant and now all of a sudden I've moderated every position I had like yesterday.
  72. 4:45It's crazy.
  73. 4:46Then you have, I was laughing at this with Bob, you know, you had the socialist 2026 conference
  74. 4:52in Chicago, September 4th through the 7th which concluded on Labor Day.
  75. 4:57Yes.
  76. 4:58And they're so socialist they charge $155 a ticket to get into their socialist party,
  77. 5:04socialist conference and if you are you're a solidarity participant you pay 255
  78. 5:09and then of course if you're a lowly student that's low income you still got
  79. 5:14to pay 65 dollars to get to the socialism conference no why did they just spread
  80. 5:20the wealth of the conference attendance you know how you got a you got a pay to
  81. 5:23come up on this thing you know is and then at a time of which and I'm going to
  82. 5:27say this and some of you guys going to think I'm making this up but one of their
  83. 5:30grand presentations was on the fascist reality of GOP ones because these types of drugs are
  84. 5:37meant to genocide fat people.
  85. 5:39Guys, I'm not joking.
  86. 5:40I wish I was.
  87. 5:41I wish I was.
  88. 5:43How the objective to make Americans healthy is an exercise in oppression in fascism.
  89. 5:52Oh my gosh.
  90. 5:55But this is the time that God is doing for us to be alive folks.
  91. 5:58So let us be about our father's business.
  92. 6:00So the word of God we go, Mark chapter six,
  93. 6:03verses 30 through 38.
  94. 6:08Yes, 32, 38 is where we're gonna go today.
  95. 6:13And this is a portion of scripture
  96. 6:15where Jesus had sent out his disciples two by two
  97. 6:23and then they came back and report to him
  98. 6:25what all transpired.
  99. 6:26Pass across and say, what?
  100. 6:27Yeah, I'm telling you, y'all, I'm gonna play audio.
  101. 6:29I got audio for that one.
  102. 6:30I had to bring evidence because if I told you they said that the GLP wants is fascism.
  103. 6:37You ought to be like, what?
  104. 6:39I'm getting through it.
  105. 6:42But to the word of God, Mark chapter 6 verse 30, and this is what God's word says, the
  106. 6:48apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught.
  107. 6:53And he said to them, come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.
  108. 6:58many were coming and going and they had no leisure even to eat. And then, I'm sorry,
  109. 7:03and they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves. Now many saw them going
  110. 7:09and recognized them and they ran their own foot from all the towns and got there ahead
  111. 7:14of them. When he went ashore, when he went ashore, he saw a great crowd and he had compassion
  112. 7:21on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd and he began to teach them many things.
  113. 7:28And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said,
  114. 7:32this is a desolate place.
  115. 7:33And the hour is now late.
  116. 7:35Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages
  117. 7:39and buy themselves something to eat.
  118. 7:42But he, Jesus answered them, you give them something to eat.
  119. 7:46And they said to him, shall we go and buy 200 denari-worth of bread
  120. 7:51and give it to them to eat?
  121. 7:53And he, Jesus said to them, how many loaves do you have?
  122. 7:58Go and see and when they had found out they said five loaves and two fish
  123. 8:07Alright
  124. 8:10Man this this passage has been just resonating within me
  125. 8:14Staring me and I pray to will be an encouraging source for you first thing
  126. 8:18I want to point out notice in verse 30 the scripture says the apostles returned to Jesus and told them all that they had done and
  127. 8:24taught
  128. 8:25One of the things that we need to revisit and to normalize within the body of Christ
  129. 8:30is that the expectation for the believer is not merely to pontificate, not merely to be
  130. 8:39didactic in presentation, but our presentations must accompany action. The Apostles told Jesus
  131. 8:49all they had taught, yes, this is what we instructed, this is what we talked, but also this is what
  132. 8:54we did. That proper sound doctrine and instruction and teaching must always be accompanied by
  133. 9:03Sound gospel centered practice and engagement. It is the interaction between orthodoxy and orthopraxis
  134. 9:11Right believing right instruction and right engagement right action. Let me keep going
  135. 9:18Then I want to go a little further
  136. 9:21Notice in verse 34
  137. 9:23The scripture records that Jesus when he saw the great crowds. He was moved with compassion
  138. 9:30He had compassion on them
  139. 9:32but notice how he responds in light of his compassion.
  140. 9:37His compassion didn't just move him to say,
  141. 9:39Oh, well, let me just sit where you sit.
  142. 9:42Let me empathize with you.
  143. 9:45Empathy is good, but it's not the end of the story.
  144. 9:47Empathy, and let me say it better.
  145. 9:50Empathy is only good if empathy moves us
  146. 9:53to biblical compassion.
  147. 9:55Well, what is biblical compassion?
  148. 9:56Notice Jesus had compassion upon them,
  149. 9:59and what did he do with that compassion?
  150. 10:01He taught them many things.
  151. 10:04Jesus' compassion compelled him to offer them corrective engagement.
  152. 10:11The compassion was not merely reciprocal emotion.
  153. 10:16It was ultimately compassionate engagement typified by his instruction to the masses.
  154. 10:26Go further to verse 37.
  155. 10:29The disciples rightly note, man, it's been a long day.
  156. 10:32The day as far as spent, we way out here in the desolate place.
  157. 10:38We need to dismiss the folks so they can go and get something eat because they're probably
  158. 10:41going to be hungry.
  159. 10:42Jesus says you feed them.
  160. 10:44They respond shall we go and by 200 to narrow eye worth of bread.
  161. 10:49Just by way of a reminder, the narratives was a day's wage.
  162. 10:53The narrow eyes, the plural form of a dinnarius, 200 to narrow eye was representative more
  163. 10:58than a half of years worth of wages.
  164. 11:02All right?
  165. 11:04But then Jesus' response to them in light of that question
  166. 11:06was not no go and purchase this amount of food
  167. 11:10or amount of bread with that amount of money.
  168. 11:12His question to them was, what do you have?
  169. 11:17How many loaves do you have?
  170. 11:19And this, all of it, is what has been resonating within me,
  171. 11:23but especially this component.
  172. 11:25What do you have?
  173. 11:27Jesus' instruction was to, before you sought to go
  174. 11:31and try to secure resources from an external source,
  175. 11:34begin your necessary orthopractic,
  176. 11:38necessary engagement with an assessment with what you do have.
  177. 11:43When Jesus asked what you have,
  178. 11:44and they did not have a ready answer available to him,
  179. 11:46Jesus said go and see, go and evaluate,
  180. 11:51take inventory of what you do have.
  181. 11:54This is something that I believe the Lord
  182. 11:55would compel us to do in this day and age
  183. 11:58as we survey the landscape.
  184. 11:59We see that the darkness surrounding us,
  185. 12:02and many of us are moved by it.
  186. 12:03I don't believe you will be listening to this program
  187. 12:06if you weren't concerned about the things
  188. 12:07that you see happening around you.
  189. 12:10Well, if your eyes are open, God doesn't want you
  190. 12:13just to see so you can opine and wax eloquent
  191. 12:16and have more information than a person next to you.
  192. 12:18God has your eyes open so that you can respond
  193. 12:21as his hands and feet.
  194. 12:25And because the Lord comprises his body of many members
  195. 12:28who are not identical to one another,
  196. 12:31first Corinthians 12, they're many members.
  197. 12:33It's one body, but we have many members,
  198. 12:35many different operations, many different gifts,
  199. 12:38many different functions.
  200. 12:40What has God given you to respond to what you see?
  201. 12:45It's very easy to think, man, if I just had this,
  202. 12:48or if I just had that, if I just had this,
  203. 12:50if I just had these other things,
  204. 12:51then I can go and do A, B, C, D and E.
  205. 12:55But the Lord would cause us to stop and say,
  206. 12:57wait, what is it that you do have?
  207. 13:00Some of us don't even realize it, that we have one of the greatest tools available to
  208. 13:05engage our immediate communities as Salt and Light.
  209. 13:09You want to know what that is?
  210. 13:10It's where we live.
  211. 13:13That the gracious utilization of hospitality can be one of the most potent tools in your
  212. 13:19arsenal to be able to break down the barriers of separation and the bulkanization in our
  213. 13:27communities that allows for bad ideas to fester.
  214. 13:30the downsides of the technology age is that we have basically digitized, advocated, uh,
  215. 13:37organization to what algorithms repeatedly feed people over and over and over the stuff
  216. 13:42that they've already seen in the same type of stuff that they've already seen and created
  217. 13:46perception that the algorithm is reality when it's not, when it's not.
  218. 13:52I was reading a story earlier that says that due to the digital age that we have people
  219. 13:56who speak fewer words today on average than we used to speak previously.
  220. 14:03And how interpersonal interaction, you guys know it that so much of our communication is
  221. 14:09not verbal, but it's in person.
  222. 14:12So as we engage verbally, in person we pick up on additional cues.
  223. 14:19What I'm saying, man, what do you have?
  224. 14:21What has God equipped you with?
  225. 14:23What abilities do you have?
  226. 14:25and let us use what we have in light of the fact that God planted us in this time, in this day on purpose.
  227. 14:34This is the moment that God has ordained for us.
  228. 14:38Brothers and sisters, let's not miss that moment.
  229. 14:41Let's not miss our moment.
  230. 14:43Use what we have, the life stage that we're in, the resources that are available to us, the time that we have,
  231. 14:49and live full out for the glory of the Lord.
  232. 14:52Because after this, eternity is our own.
  233. 15:03Shining light into the darkness,
  234. 15:05this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  235. 15:10Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner,
  236. 15:12Abraham Hamilton the third here.
  237. 15:14Before we get to a lot of the shenanigans,
  238. 15:18I wanted to have a conversation with you about something.
  239. 15:22And this is indicative of something
  240. 15:24that's been concerning to me for quite some time.
  241. 15:27And we're seeing this, in this instance,
  242. 15:30I'm gonna share with you now and in other instances.
  243. 15:33So what I'm talking about is over the weekend,
  244. 15:37Vice President J.D. Vance began to speak about a policy
  245. 15:42prerogative that he's, that really the White House
  246. 15:44is seeking to implement now.
  247. 15:46I mean, the typical things that they are in favor of,
  248. 15:49the White House began to leak.
  249. 15:51And so various media outlets got copies of the policy
  250. 15:54that the white house is seeking to push
  251. 15:57push for
  252. 15:59and
  253. 16:01i understand why they're doing
  254. 16:03i believe their intention
  255. 16:05and doing this is really really really good
  256. 16:08and i can see a lot of
  257. 16:11uh... won't say a lot but several things that are quite positive in light of
  258. 16:15the policy that's being presented while at the exact same time
  259. 16:18i think i think the policies of bad idea very very bad idea so what am i
  260. 16:23talking about
  261. 16:24so over the weekend vice president vans
  262. 16:27uh... present the idea
  263. 16:29of changing
  264. 16:31the eligibility requirements
  265. 16:34for the child care and development fund
  266. 16:37to allow for
  267. 16:39that so the child care and in development fund is an existing fund that
  268. 16:42already has twelve billion dollars in it
  269. 16:46and it is the fund it is a fund i should say that is used
  270. 16:51to
  271. 16:52help
  272. 16:54american citizens to shoulder
  273. 16:56child care costs
  274. 16:58to date
  275. 16:59that fun is only used
  276. 17:01it
  277. 17:03for single parents primarily
  278. 17:05you know eighty percent of the fund uses in comparison
  279. 17:08so the idea that vice president of a sense is presenting which actually is built
  280. 17:11upon legislation
  281. 17:12that mark arubio wrote when he was still in the senate in the u s senate
  282. 17:16what he's seeking to do is pro propose a change to the fund that creates a new
  283. 17:20category
  284. 17:22of
  285. 17:23childcare called parent based childcare. The whole thrust is to, to use funds from that,
  286. 17:31use money from that fund to provide money to married couples to where one spouse works
  287. 17:4035 plus hours a week and the other spouse is to stay at home spouse, right? That's what
  288. 17:46the policy is presenting to do. So I know why the White House is considering it. I think
  289. 17:55their intentions are right. Their intentions are right. But just because your intentions
  290. 18:01are right doesn't mean that you should pursue the policies. So first things first, certainly
  291. 18:06one of the major reasons that the White House is motivated to do is because they are aware
  292. 18:11that a lot of President Trump's most successful policy advancements have been on the foreign
  293. 18:18policy front and not as much on the domestic policy front. Secondarily, lots of conversations
  294. 18:23are happening about affordability and how that's created a vulnerability for the GOP facing his
  295. 18:28midterms and all of those kind of things. I get that. But beyond that, the idea of incentivizing
  296. 18:34marriage and incentivizing parents to care for our own children is good. And that is right.
  297. 18:45As it stands currently, the CCDF usually allocates about $9,000 per child on an annual basis. Now
  298. 18:52You guys know I have six children.
  299. 18:54If I were to qualify for that fund,
  300. 18:55I'm looking at a pretty penny that I could use
  301. 18:58as a result of it.
  302. 18:59So I want you to understand that my concerns
  303. 19:02about this policy and my objection to it
  304. 19:05is not because I wouldn't benefit from it,
  305. 19:07because I would benefit from it potentially.
  306. 19:10Well, there may be some other qualifications
  307. 19:12that I wouldn't mean but potentially I would benefit from it,
  308. 19:15but I want you to know I'm objecting to it
  309. 19:17on a principal basis, all right?
  310. 19:20So here's some details that people need to be made aware of.
  311. 19:25So the child care and development fund,
  312. 19:29as is stands to accomplish this policy objective,
  313. 19:32there would be no need for a new bill to be passed.
  314. 19:35They would simply change eligibility criteria
  315. 19:39to now include married couples where one of the spouses
  316. 19:46stays at home and cares for the children,
  317. 19:48while the other works 35 hours plus per week.
  318. 19:53That is as it applies today because reality is the child care and development fund requires
  319. 20:05allocations annually from Congress.
  320. 20:08So the 12 billion that's in the fund, it's in the fund because it's already been allocated
  321. 20:12by Congress.
  322. 20:13But 70% of the fund thereafter requires annual appropriation from Congress.
  323. 20:2430% of the fund is provided annually through mandatory annual funding related to the Social Security Act.
  324. 20:32So 30% of the fund will be available annually.
  325. 20:35But 70% of it requires congressional appropriation every single year.
  326. 20:44Now this is why I'm concerned about it. While I mention those things, it would incentivize marriage, no doubt.
  327. 20:49praise God for that. It would help provide, you know, a bit of assistance in this, the affordability
  328. 20:55concerns. Yes, absolutely. But here's the problem guys. Welfare is still welfare. Welfare
  329. 21:03is welfare, no matter who does it, no matter who does it. And when you consider this year
  330. 21:11that it would not require additional congressional action, the next years it will require congressional
  331. 21:19Here's another component. Have you ever seen a federal welfare program when it starts that
  332. 21:27it stays in the same place in terms of how its money uses? I'm sure that this program
  333. 21:33wouldn't grow annually. I'm sure it wouldn't grow annually. And here's the other components.
  334. 21:43I've said this numerous times. And I've said it, but the late Dr. Walter E. Williams, who
  335. 21:50was a guest on this program, the economist and teacher at George Washington University
  336. 21:57made the remark that welfare was able to do to the black family what slavery, Jim Crow,
  337. 22:08and the harshest partiality based on skin color was never able to do, which was destroyed
  338. 22:13a black family. Because here's the reality guys, $9,000 per child from the government,
  339. 22:22one spouse stays home guess what that's called folks socialism that's what socialism is that's
  340. 22:30what socialism is now what I would propose in lieu of this and this is something I would
  341. 22:38propose over and over and over again is you make an additional exclusion from taxable income
  342. 22:46because welfare is welfare no matter where it comes from but we should be seeking to accomplish
  343. 22:51And I don't care what government is in office, what political party is in office, what we
  344. 22:58should be seeking to accomplish is get the government out of our families.
  345. 23:02We don't need to expand the nanny state just in another direction.
  346. 23:05We don't need to expand the nanny state because we want to incentivize marriage.
  347. 23:09I want to incentivize marriage.
  348. 23:11I want to incentivize parenthood.
  349. 23:13Sure.
  350. 23:14But not to government handouts.
  351. 23:15This guys is just another government handout.
  352. 23:18while those things I mentioned before. It incentivizes marriage, no doubt. It encourages
  353. 23:24a family to care for our own children. You know I support that, no doubt. But we
  354. 23:30don't want, we should not want the government. I've said before that I am not
  355. 23:35co-parenting with the government, co-parenting with the government when it
  356. 23:38comes to my children's, the cultivation of my children's mind, and I'm also not
  357. 23:41co-parenting with the government when it comes to providing for my family.
  358. 23:44Socialism is still socialism and it shouldn't matter to us where it's coming from in the
  359. 23:51concerned that I'm raising here that I've said before that I was concerned about is that
  360. 23:55there are people who are attempting to assert a a we see the regressives in the Democrat
  361. 24:02the Democrat Party are seeking to have a godless government there are some who are seeking
  362. 24:06to establish a godless conservatism we don't need government for this when Dr. Williams
  363. 24:14talked about the impact of welfare on the Black family and our welfare has impacted families
  364. 24:23regardless of ethnicity and how you had policies incentivizing fatherless homes and things of
  365. 24:28that nature. What do you think is going to happen if you get millions of Americans connected
  366. 24:33to the government dole for this? Some of the unintended consequences. How do you think it's
  367. 24:38going to impact work ethic? How do you think it's going to impact responsibility that the
  368. 24:43we husbands have as husbands and fathers to provide and care for our families.
  369. 24:48Because make them mistake about it, if this thing becomes active, it is going to be a
  370. 24:52great temptation to many to sign up for it.
  371. 24:56It's going to be a great temptation.
  372. 25:00But don't fall for it.
  373. 25:01They have been previous presidents and referred to government welfare as a narcotic.
  374. 25:09We don't need the government.
  375. 25:10We don't need to co-parent with the government.
  376. 25:12We don't need the government to help shoulder to shoulder the responsibilities for providing
  377. 25:18for our families, guys, this is socialism.
  378. 25:21And I don't care if it's coming from a Republican vice president,
  379. 25:24it's socialism.
  380. 25:26We have to understand socialism is bad no matter who is advocating for it.
  381. 25:31This is a horrible idea, guys.
  382. 25:34This is a horrible idea.
  383. 25:37And it needs to be rejected.
  384. 25:41What we should want from a policy standpoint is for government to get out of our way.
  385. 25:47For the nanny state to get out of our way.
  386. 25:49Get rid of ridiculous regulations.
  387. 25:51get rid of overburnts and taxation and let the american family thrive independent
  388. 25:56of government meddling
  389. 25:58so while i understand why they do it why why they would propose something like
  390. 26:02this while i understand
  391. 26:04the motivation and desire to want to incentivize
  392. 26:07you know marriages and families and parents care for our own children
  393. 26:10this is not the way
  394. 26:12creating a new government welfare program creating an annu
  395. 26:17uh... x and another iteration of the welfare states expansion
  396. 26:21Because here's the other thing we don't realize.
  397. 26:23Right now, you don't really have very much in terms of
  398. 26:28a socialistic camel under the tent, so to speak,
  399. 26:32in terms of intact married families.
  400. 26:34But guess what this will be?
  401. 26:39No, my objection to this is principle.
  402. 26:43It is biblical.
  403. 26:45Proverbs, chapter 13, verse 11 tells us what?
  404. 26:48Wealth, gotten by vanity, shall be diminished.
  405. 26:53What is wealth, gotten by vanity?
  406. 26:54Wealth accumulated without any type of sweat equity,
  407. 26:57without any type of personal investment.
  408. 27:01Wealth that is completely detached
  409. 27:07from any personal investment of sweat equity.
  410. 27:09Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished,
  411. 27:11but he that gathers by labor shall increase.
  412. 27:17Guys, there is value to earning our way.
  413. 27:22My grandmother, you say earn your keep.
  414. 27:24There's value to pressing forward.
  415. 27:26One of the things that God has prepared us as men to be
  416. 27:29and to do is that we push through the difficulty.
  417. 27:32We all face difficult times, absolutely.
  418. 27:36But one of the reasons why God has given us as men,
  419. 27:39broader shoulders, higher bone dissities,
  420. 27:41the increased musculature is so that we lead the way
  421. 27:44in pressing through difficult times.
  422. 27:52We need to revisit the consistent advocacy
  423. 27:56that has been employed over the years,
  424. 28:00against the corrosive impact of welfare upon families, man.
  425. 28:07Listen, I know what it's like.
  426. 28:08I grew up in the hood.
  427. 28:10I know what it's like to have people who got food stamps.
  428. 28:12Remember?
  429. 28:13And there was a time when they were actually real stamps.
  430. 28:15They looked like monopoly money.
  431. 28:17And there was a limit and a prohibition on using food stamps
  432. 28:21to buy other things like alcohol and other things.
  433. 28:24You couldn't use that thing, you know?
  434. 28:27And I know what it's like to have people
  435. 28:29with certain drug habits and things being on my block,
  436. 28:31selling at food stamps.
  437. 28:33I think I $500 worth of $500 worth of food stamps.
  438. 28:35I'll sell it to you for $200.
  439. 28:36seven two for three hundred
  440. 28:38and what that's like
  441. 28:40and what it's like i know people personally who had a generation of heritage
  442. 28:43living in the project
  443. 28:47and now what this is proposing is to invade the province
  444. 28:52of the mario to home with his uh... there's a there's a there's a what they said
  445. 28:55that spouses
  446. 28:58you know why they say spouses instead of saying a husband and wife you know you
  447. 29:01realize that right
  448. 29:03this is this is the the proverbial camel under the camels nose under the tent
  449. 29:07to gaining access to introduce the socialistic narcotic
  450. 29:11into an intact marital family.
  451. 29:15Because one of the criteria to get the money
  452. 29:17is that it's for a married couple.
  453. 29:21Nah man, this has to be rejected.
  454. 29:23I appreciate the intention.
  455. 29:25I appreciate the awareness of the need to incentivize
  456. 29:29and to encourage marriage and family.
  457. 29:34But we don't need this.
  458. 29:36We don't need this.
  459. 29:38We don't need this.
  460. 29:39I've shared on the show before.
  461. 29:41You know, God's view of provision in the family was so profound and robust that when we talk about,
  462. 29:47you know, the church's responsibility to care for widows and orphans.
  463. 29:51Yes, the Apostle James articulates that, but the Lord through the Apostle Paul provides a qualifier, first in the chapter 5.
  464. 29:57The church has no obligation for all widows and the church only has an obligation for those who are poor widows indeed.
  465. 30:05For those who are truly widows, who are those that were truly widows?
  466. 30:08the truly widow description with those for whom the church would aid and provide
  467. 30:11material support to. A defining delineation was first and foremost if there's a widow who needs
  468. 30:19assistance the first thing that that widow must do is go to our own family. This is the context from
  469. 30:26which we get the text that says that he would doesn't provide for his own household is worse than an
  470. 30:30infidel. The family, the widow's own children and grandchildren were responsible before you ever get
  471. 30:41to the church having a responsibility that the widows own children and grandchildren were
  472. 30:46first responsible for caring for their mother and grandmother. Then the scripture goes on to say,
  473. 30:54and the widow who was eligible to be careful by the church who was the widow indeed is one who has
  474. 30:58no family to aid her and one who was given herself to gospel ministry work throughout her lifetime
  475. 31:04and being hospitable to things of that nature. But my point is that we have got to reject notions
  476. 31:11to link the family to be dependent upon the government.
  477. 31:15That is not the way.
  478. 31:16And just as we've seen welfare have corrosive effect upon other segments of our society,
  479. 31:23rest assured, if this is employed within the marital home context,
  480. 31:30you will see a similar corrosive effect upon marital unions in this country.
  481. 31:35This needs to be rejected.
  482. 31:36I appreciate the intention, but this is a bad idea.
  483. 31:39And by God's grace I hope they go back to the drawing board and look for other ways.
  484. 31:46And my suggestion is if you want to help the family, maybe use that dollar-mount target
  485. 31:51to exclude taxable income, but we don't need another handout from the government.
  486. 31:59The mission of AFA is to inform, equip, and activate individuals and families to strengthen
  487. 32:04the moral foundation of America culture and give aid to the Church here and abroad, and
  488. 32:09it's tasking for filling a great commission.
  489. 32:11The Vision of America Family Association is to be a leading organization in biblical worldview
  490. 32:16training in the interest of cultural transformation.
  491. 32:19Thank you for standing with the American Family Association as we seek to stop the erosion
  492. 32:25of godly values.

  510. 33:35You know what follows is the truth.
  511. 33:37Your news from a Christian perspective.
  512. 33:39Hundreds of teachers are going to have to walk into that school building and therefore
  513. 33:43to swallow political ideology, then in many cases,
  514. 33:47the highlights are very safe and constant.

  520. 34:10Back to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  521. 34:15Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner.
  522. 34:16Abraham Hamilton III here. The other thing I was going to say about this is that there would be income threshold
  523. 34:23Requirements that apply to determine who's eligible those things would be the same
  524. 34:27But what do you think something like this this expansion of this welfare benefit will do to the debt and the deficit especially you consider in this fiscal year?
  525. 34:35That would not require additional congressional appropriation, but next year and every year after that
  526. 34:4070% of the CCDF fund would have to be appropriated by Congress
  527. 34:43You know, and it's just it's a bad idea. It's a bad idea. So I'm hoping the White House hears this.
  528. 34:50I get little misses from time to time that tell me, hey, by the way, you said this on your show and
  529. 34:59by the way, we're doing this and I by no means mean to to suggest that I'm the only one saying this, but
  530. 35:04welfare is welfare, man. I don't care where it comes from. And welfare's growth of effect is the same.
  531. 35:09It's the same.
  532. 35:10It's the same.
  533. 35:15We need to get government out of the way.
  534. 35:18And this is also why once again that charity is a person, the responsibility that God gives
  535. 35:23to Christ followers, let the people closest to those in need lead in aiding those in need.
  536. 35:31The Lord never told us to launder our compassion for people who are suffering through the government.
  537. 35:35Oh, by the way, at the force of compulsion, give me your money.
  538. 35:44Oh, I mean, Texas or else.
  539. 35:48Nah, that's a bad idea.
  540. 35:51I share this very sad update simply because I introduced this topic last week.
  541. 35:55It's been confirmed that this mom in Illinois is now facing first degree murder charges concerning
  542. 36:06her two-year-old son, a little boy's name, Barrett.
  543. 36:11They called him Bear.
  544. 36:15This woman, the mom, y'all know where I stand.
  545. 36:19I don't say the names of murderers on the show if I can avoid it.
  546. 36:24This woman just three hours after texting her friends about the murder trial in Massachusetts,
  547. 36:33three hours later, her two-year-old son was found dead.
  548. 36:39When police officers arrived at her home, she was in a bathtub fully clothed in bloody
  549. 36:43water, although the reports indicate that she had non-life threatening injuries.
  550. 36:50And according to investigators, she said she killed her son because he was the devil, he
  551. 36:56was the antichrist.
  552. 36:58Upon arrival, police officers found a two-year-old boy hanging from the rafters in her basement.
  553. 37:05Ligerture wounds around his neck, the little boy was pronounced dead on the scene.
  554. 37:13Guys, this is heartbreaking.
  555. 37:17At the time, his mom, who was standing murder charges for killing this two-year-old boy,
  556. 37:22as I mentioned, she was his texting friends about the Massachusetts trial just three hours
  557. 37:26before her very own son was found dead.
  558. 37:32The jury was deliberating on that case at the time,
  559. 37:39which and I have to say that what we've learned now
  560. 37:43is that this trial in Massachusetts
  561. 37:44that it ended in a hung jury,
  562. 37:48which led the judge to declare a mistrial
  563. 37:50was due to one man,
  564. 37:52one man in a jury saying,
  565. 37:53I will not let this murdering woman off the hook.
  566. 38:00So it's because of that one man
  567. 38:02that justice still may be served in that case. As the mistrial
  568. 38:06simply sets the stage for the case to be retried if the
  569. 38:08prosecutors and Massachusetts decide to do so. Or they get into
  570. 38:16some type of plea agreement, you know, to where there's some
  571. 38:19type of sentence. But we we've we in Kansas anymore, Dorothy, I
  572. 38:29have a list. I'm not gonna do that program today. But as a
  573. 38:31result of this, there have been multiple other seemingly copy
  574. 38:38cat murders of children all around the country to which you can't help but
  575. 38:47consider man if we as a society have been saying for well over 40 years now that
  576. 38:51you can kill a child in the womb what's the difference between killing a child
  577. 38:53in the womb or outside of the womb sick sick I mentioned this earlier just cuz
  578. 39:05I want you to have the information these people had their socialism 2026
  579. 39:12conference in Chicago and I kid you not the socialist but they're charging to go
  580. 39:18of the conference. They had multiple tiers of ticket levels, you know. The average ticket
  581. 39:30was $155 a ticket. Then the solidarity ticket was $250. Then the low income student price
  582. 39:38was $65. You had the self-described socialists all uniting, you know. When you think if you
  583. 39:48would think that these people are joking, they're not, man. They're not these people's
  584. 39:53Those ideas are laughably ridiculous, but they're gaining ground in certain areas.
  585. 40:03Angela Davis is one of the speakers, and he went on and on and saying that we as the socialists,
  586. 40:12we need to come to the place where we're able to have the position where it's no longer
  587. 40:18okay to say someone should go to prison.
  588. 40:21Listen to and watch clip number one, clip one, go.
  589. 40:24The abolition movement, we can now no longer act as if it's okay to say somebody should
  590. 40:35be sent to prison.
  591. 40:41Look at that applause.
  592. 40:43Man.
  593. 40:44So you don't think pedophiles need to go to prison?
  594. 40:49You don't think murderers need to go to prison?
  595. 40:51You don't think armed robbers need to go to prison?
  596. 40:52You don't think people who, I mean, this is just stupid, man.
  597. 40:57stupid but this is what these people really believe folks this is what they
  598. 41:01really believe this is what they really believe and I alluded to this and I had
  599. 41:06to listen to this twice because I was like oh are you serious man this dude
  600. 41:13DeShawn Harrison who DeShawn you see look y'all definitely gonna want to clip
  601. 41:21this nip this send this to your friends because they probably won't believe you
  602. 41:24said this, but this dude literally had a prepared speech to describe the political deployment
  603. 41:33of GOP ones and saying that GOP ones, their, their, their rollout was fascistic.
  604. 41:41It's an indicative of fascism because there's an effort to genocide fat people.
  605. 41:49I am not joking.
  606. 41:50Listen to and watch clip number two, clip two, go.
  607. 41:54the political deployment of GOP ones is fascistic,
  608. 41:57not because individuals take them,
  609. 41:59but because the conditions under which they become necessary
  610. 42:02are shaped by a world fixated on genociding fat people.
  611. 42:06This is a structural critique that asks
  612. 42:08what happens when the conditions produced by capitalism,
  613. 42:11by public health, by the state apparatus,
  614. 42:13and by anti-black desire align around a single bodily ideal
  615. 42:18that leaves little to no room for divergence
  616. 42:20and punishes any body that does.
  617. 42:24Whereas earlier diet drugs were often associated with vanity or addiction, GOP ones are positioned
  618. 42:29as responsible medicine, promising relief rather than restraint.
  619. 42:35Now if you are watching the show, you saw Odishone was the one talking and then to his,
  620. 42:43if you're watching the show, to his left, you're right on the screen for the second time when
  621. 42:49I'm playing her clip.
  622. 42:50But she goes on and on and on and saying that the effort to make America healthy again
  623. 42:55is an effort to to genocide fat people.
  624. 43:02And we shouldn't be so focused on warning Americans
  625. 43:05to be healthy.
  626. 43:07Why she got a mask on?
  627. 43:08And you saw Deshawn had a mask over his face.
  628. 43:10If y'all don't want people to be healthy,
  629. 43:12what you got masks on for?
  630. 43:14Which oh, by the way, I don't know if you read anything
  631. 43:16in the last five years.
  632. 43:22The mask ain't doing nothing, chief.
  633. 43:25But letting you get a taste of what that breath
  634. 43:27be like on a regular.
  635. 43:29All right?
  636. 43:29That's what you got going on.
  637. 43:32Guys.
  638. 43:34Genocide and fat people, genocide and people who are overweight.
  639. 43:45This is insane.
  640. 43:48These people must be kept as far away as possible
  641. 43:53from the levers of influence and potency in our society.
  642. 43:58This is absolutely absurd.
  643. 44:04Like where do you begin when you have a person sitting
  644. 44:07in Chicago?
  645. 44:08I don't know this to be sure, but I guarantee you
  646. 44:11they had a Chicago dog or two during the conference who actually say with a straight
  647. 44:20face, you do not, you do know this capitalist structure exists because it wants to genocide
  648. 44:25fat people and having ready access, you know, to these drugs.
  649. 44:30And I'm not saying you need to take these GOP ones and not take them, you know, this is
  650. 44:34America.
  651. 44:35You do your research, you feel like I can help you?
  652. 44:36You do what you want.
  653. 44:37I would recommend probably doing something without using the drugs.
  654. 44:40regardless like that that that's the structure you're trying to tell now the
  655. 44:44glp one structure as we was created that there people giving out hats hossan
  656. 44:52piker was found in his dog on conference walking around with showing uh...
  657. 44:56satanic socialist for gays
  658. 44:59i'm there serious
  659. 45:02when you say by the best oxymoron satanic socialist you you wasted a word
  660. 45:06overdundant was redundant not actually more redundant
  661. 45:10Yeah, redundant.
  662. 45:11Do plik-a-tiv.
  663. 45:12Do plik-a-tiv.
  664. 45:13Yeah, do plik-a-tiv.
  665. 45:15But while I'm saying all of this,
  666. 45:17a part of the thing that drew my attention
  667. 45:21was that these people are planning
  668. 45:22what they call a Mayday, 2028 action.
  669. 45:27Now, Mayday is, you know, the May 1st day
  670. 45:30where the socialists of the world,
  671. 45:33the Marxists of the world, won a unite,
  672. 45:35but they're working to build toward having a day
  673. 45:37where there's massive strikes,
  674. 45:40even to the point to where they're blackouts
  675. 45:43in the electrical grade across the country
  676. 45:45to where economic resources are inaccessible.
  677. 45:50This is what they're planning.
  678. 45:53And this is not my opinion.
  679. 45:56This is why we have to do our due diligence.
  680. 45:58We have to reroute this study.
  681. 45:59But Marx and Engels themselves
  682. 46:02said that socialism is a necessary intermediary step
  683. 46:05towards communism.
  684. 46:07Themselves, that's what they've said.
  685. 46:11That socialism doesn't become any less socialism
  686. 46:13because you have democratic in front of it.
  687. 46:18and i'm presenting this to you because
  688. 46:22in their own words the reason why we keep doing these mayday organizational
  689. 46:26things is because we want to test whether or not we have built a sufficient
  690. 46:30infrastructure this is what the market is a month's house
  691. 46:33so they're planning to see just how strongly gotten by twenty twenty eight
  692. 46:39they're debating whether or not it's time for them to just be their own
  693. 46:44political party whether or not the democrat party has
  694. 46:46outlived its usefulness because they've admitted publicly
  695. 46:50that they've been socialist all along and they simply use the Democrat party
  696. 46:54because they already had the infrastructure and apparatus to allow them to access
  697. 46:58the levels of power. But
  698. 47:05because the GOP ones are fascistic you see
  699. 47:11door to we are not in Kansas anymore and as I said in the very beginning of this
  700. 47:15program
  701. 47:16uh...
  702. 47:20goddess of dainters for this moment
  703. 47:23you know what's going on
  704. 47:24where you live or do you know what's going on where you live
  705. 47:27as we're talking about it
  706. 47:29as you listen to this program can you start a world view class
  707. 47:32Just stop for you with your own church.
  708. 47:36Can you start an examination of the various worldviews
  709. 47:42that compete for the allegiance and loyalty of our society?
  710. 47:45Can you do that?
  711. 47:48Can you, as we lament, I've lamented publicly,
  712. 47:51then I teach in economics and our government
  713. 47:53indoctrination systems.
  714. 47:55Can you teach economics in your neighborhood?
  715. 47:57Will your church allow you to use your church facilities
  716. 48:00during the week?
  717. 48:04What I have found is that young people wanna know what's true.
  718. 48:09And what I've also found is the banker principle,
  719. 48:12if you expose people to the truth,
  720. 48:14you don't have to teach them all of the iterations
  721. 48:16of the lie because it'll be so akin, so tuned into the truth
  722. 48:19that the lie sticks out like a sorta.
  723. 48:24A lie will stick out to a truth adherent,
  724. 48:30just like cigarette smells to a non-smoker.
  725. 48:36What do you have?
  726. 48:38What resources are available that you have?
  727. 48:41Now what you don't have, but you don't have,
  728. 48:42but what do you have?
  729. 48:45What can God use through you to be his hands and feet
  730. 48:50right where you live?
  731. 48:54Pass us through listening to me, would you host a homeschool
  732. 48:56co-op in the church where God is planning you to serve?
  733. 49:03Because cultivation of the mind is
  734. 49:05intrinsic to disciple making.
  735. 49:08Making disciples includes the cultivation
  736. 49:10of spiritual discipline, but it also
  737. 49:13includes the cultivation of the mind.
  738. 49:17Professionals in local church, can we
  739. 49:19Re-institute apprenticeships programs with we what we have, you know, small business owners guys we can be something like in this time if we
  740. 49:30would open ourselves up for our Lord to help us to recognize what we have. The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the
