  10. 0:29And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:35Welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  13. 0:36My name is Abraham Hamilton the third.
  14. 0:38I am the host of the program joined by the Corner contingent right across from me, my
  15. 0:43man, 100 grand to Mr. Bobby, and in the screening room produced extraordinaire.
  16. 0:52Often imitated, never duplicated the real J. Mac, ladies and gentlemen, and he is accompanied
  17. 0:57at the moment by.
  18. 0:59The Every Elegant soon to be published author,
  19. 1:05vlog entries of course.
  20. 1:08No, I are soon to be departing in turn Kennedy Green
  21. 1:14at the privilege last week of reviewing an article
  22. 1:16she's written for AFA's website.
  23. 1:18She probably didn't even want me to say anything.
  24. 1:20She is such a shy person,
  25. 1:23but man I so enjoyed reading an article
  26. 1:25and as soon as it's up,
  27. 1:28I definitely make sure I share it on all my social media
  28. 1:31channels because it is greatly encouraging having to do with waiting as you're trusting
  29. 1:38God in prayer, facing life circumstances.
  30. 1:42It's an amazing, amazing piece.
  31. 1:44I definitely look forward to sharing it with you once it is available.
  32. 1:48And we will have the Woodaholic.
  33. 1:50Our friendly neighborhood Woodaholic will be in the screening room shortly as we will open
  34. 1:54the phone lines because we want to continue our conversation with voluntary familial
  35. 1:58estrangement and we had the phone bank filled with people and I want to give you an opportunity
  36. 2:05to share what was on your mind and hearts as we dove into that conversation. As you see,
  37. 2:10this won't be the only time we discuss this issue because I'm learning. The more I study
  38. 2:17this issue, the more research I do, I'm learning how prevalent it is and it is a combination both
  39. 2:23of its prevalence and an unspoken reality facing it because lots of people who are dealing with
  40. 2:30it are dealing with all kinds of guilt, some instances, shame, embarrassment.
  41. 2:36And so you have lots of individuals and families that are kind of suffering and silent.
  42. 2:41And one of the things I want to do is to break false perceptions surrounding that so that
  43. 2:46we can bring this issue into the light and then deal with it with the truth of God's
  44. 2:51word with the counsel of his spirit at this very moment. Many of you, if not most of you,
  45. 2:56are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full
  46. 3:01time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with
  47. 3:06intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family. This is one of the things
  48. 3:12we're going to get into this today. This is one of the reasons why this estrangement issue is coming
  49. 3:17up is because Satan hates family. Satan hates family. That's why there's such a voracious attack
  50. 3:25on identity, such a voracious attack on marriage, as well as an attack on family.
  51. 3:32Because the chief counterfeiter wants to try to undermine God's work. God has designed the family
  52. 3:40to be the core, if you will, of his church. He's designed the family to be the core of society.
  53. 3:50But by undermining the family, causing divisiveness within familial units and causing people to abandon
  54. 4:01their formational families in favor of other allegiances, man, it's quite demonic in its design.
  55. 4:11And it's meant to further bulkenize our society just as the efforts to reduce fathers and mothers to, you know,
  56. 4:19parent one and parent two to reduce mankind into an amalgamation of human-human goo.
  57. 4:24There is a desire to do the same with familiar relationships.
  58. 4:27It struck me.
  59. 4:30I wouldn't even plan on talking about this yet, but a lot of you saw there was an interview just yesterday
  60. 4:37when Shannon Brienne interviewed a co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of America.
  61. 4:40And if she let something slip, oh yeah, we have this a long-range goal for this agenda
  62. 4:46item because we want to make it conducive to international norms.
  63. 4:51Yeah, so we want to eradicate borders and eradicate the concept of illegal immigration.
  64. 4:57And it's amazing how there's such a consistent effort to try to eliminate borders and language
  65. 5:07in culture in order to kind of make us fit for a one world kind of deal.
  66. 5:14Isn't that interesting how that keeps happening over and over and over again?
  67. 5:19And it's no surprise that one of the things that Moses, Mordecai, and Mark's Levysau to
  68. 5:24destroy was the family.
  69. 5:28We'll get into it.
  70. 5:29But before we do, let us turn to the Word of God.
  71. 5:32Psalm, chapter 128.
  72. 5:35It's just six verses in this Psalm, Psalm 128, and I want to go here because in this brief
  73. 5:43Psalm we see God leading with divine inspiration to articulate various spheres of us, kingdoms
  74. 5:53of our team, which shows his view for unfolding and constructing society.
  75. 6:01Unsurprisingly it starts with a transformed individual.
  76. 6:06128 verse 1, how blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.
  77. 6:15When you shall eat the fruit of your hands, notice that I say the fruit of your hands
  78. 6:24subjected to a governmental centralized pullet bureau who confiscates and redistributes
  79. 6:32from many according to their ability, too many according to their need. You notice that's not in
  80. 6:36in there, you know, you know, that's not it.
  81. 6:39No, it says, when you shall eat the fruit of your hands,
  82. 6:42you will be happy and it will be well with you.
  83. 6:47Your wife, verse three, shall be like a fruitful vine
  84. 6:50within your house.
  85. 6:52Your children, like olive plants or olive shoots
  86. 6:57around your table, behold, for this shall the man
  87. 7:01be blessed who fears the Lord.
  88. 7:07The Lord bless you from Zion.
  89. 7:10And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
  90. 7:13all the days of your life.
  91. 7:15Indeed, may you see your children's children
  92. 7:21peace be upon Israel.
  93. 7:24We've talked about this on before.
  94. 7:25If you notice the movement in the Psalm,
  95. 7:27it begins with an individual,
  96. 7:30a transformed individual who submits himself
  97. 7:33holy to the lordship of Yahweh.
  98. 7:37Blessed is every individual, every one who has reverence, respect, and fear of the Lord.
  99. 7:46Most of your texts you'll recognize that the Lord is all capital, all capitalized.
  100. 7:50This is a reverence to the sovereign creator, King of glory.
  101. 7:54All right?
  102. 7:55Blessed is everyone who walks in his ways.
  103. 7:59Verse 2, it notices that it is a blessing of God for an individual to be able to eat
  104. 8:05the fruit of our labor.
  105. 8:07is a blessing that is provided for us by God. Then it presses from the transformed individual,
  106. 8:13what's in vision here is a man because the next verse 3, it says, your wife shall be like
  107. 8:17a fruitful vine. So he goes from the transformed individual serving as an anchor for ultimately
  108. 8:22building a transformed family being joined in God's divinely designed and ordered primary
  109. 8:29institution which is marriage and ultimately family. The transformed individual is then joined
  110. 8:35by his wife, the two of them.
  111. 8:38Kind of like the Lord says that you're equal,
  112. 8:40bearers of my image qualitatively
  113. 8:42while being complimentarily distinct from one another,
  114. 8:45the two of them progressed to the latter part of verse three
  115. 8:49that now the wife is a fruitful vine within your house
  116. 8:54and your children like olive plants around your table.
  117. 9:01So the transfer of individuals joined to a wife,
  118. 9:03wife then joins a husband and founding a family, the family bears children together,
  119. 9:10the place of fruitfulness and cultivation and nurturing and admonition is around the table,
  120. 9:17is within the family, not outsourcing to secondary sources, not outsourcing to tertiary sources,
  121. 9:23but around the table. This forms a foundation for what is then referenced in verse 5 with a spiritual
  122. 9:32reference to the Israeli society in which he says the Lord bless you from Zion. The Lord bless you
  123. 9:40from Zion referencing it being the location if you will for spiritual oversight, provision, and well-being.
  124. 9:48Then correspondingly may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem. This is a civic reference to
  125. 9:57the city. You have the spiritual reference verse, then the civic reference. This transform
  126. 10:01individual, joined to a spouse. This husband and wife together,
  127. 10:04form a family with children around their table. This husband
  128. 10:07wife or children around their table are now invested into the
  129. 10:10spiritual community with a reference to the Lord blessing
  130. 10:13from Zion and the spiritual community, then is invested in
  131. 10:17the civic society. May you see the prosperity, the well-being of
  132. 10:21Jerusalem. How long? All the days of your life. Indeed, may you
  133. 10:27Notice his intergenerational connectivity.
  134. 10:29May you the blessed man, well, it started with the blessed wife
  135. 10:33would join together to form a family.
  136. 10:35May you see your children's children.
  137. 10:42God always connects societal development with generational
  138. 10:47cultivation.
  139. 10:48And then it concluding reference, peace be upon Israel, the nation
  140. 10:53as a whole.
  141. 10:54This is the way that God envisions the ordering of society.
  142. 10:57But what we are witnessing is an atomization of society, a stratifying of our society,
  143. 11:06even within families with this not too recent phenomenon to where we have created a false
  144. 11:15representation, a lie that has been passed on for long, for far too long in our society,
  145. 11:20as if there is such thing as a right to murder one's own child.
  146. 11:28We finally have the correction that that's not in the US Constitution, but as the scripture
  147. 11:34prophesied, wicked men love darkness rather than light.
  148. 11:40When the light had been passed on as law for too long at the federal level, gave room to
  149. 11:46create this fiction that led people to actually fight for the right to kill their own children
  150. 11:51at the state level.
  151. 11:54Not only that, you have this horrendous dullness of mind and heart as Romans one prophesied
  152. 12:07that has men abandoning women and burning in lust for one another, women doing the same,
  153. 12:14abandoning men, burning lust for one another, so much so that we've now regressed to the
  154. 12:20place where you have men and women confused about what is a man and what is a woman.
  155. 12:26And with the cumulative result of all of those heinous realities, the birth rate in our country
  156. 12:36is plunging towards a demographic winter.
  157. 12:43you not only have that on the earlier end of the spectrum
  158. 12:47concerned of the decimation of one's own children, then we now
  159. 12:49have this phenomenon. Instead of a descriptor says, children
  160. 12:53arising to call their mothers blessed, sons heating their fathers
  161. 12:57counsel, you know, sons having their mothers wisdom around their
  162. 13:01garland around their neck as a garland. Well, we now have this
  163. 13:06familial estrangement. Often times what what we are experiencing
  164. 13:14is a weaponization of verbiage with kind of the the cycle babble speak to kind of
  165. 13:22Lesson the significance of words like trauma to now say everything is trauma
  166. 13:26And I don't in any way want to diminish the reality that in this fallen world we have people who have suffered traumatic
  167. 13:34Things traumatic instances traumatic circumstances where they've been sending it send against horribly. I have witnessed it firsthand
  168. 13:41just anecdotally my own life. I've experienced it firsthand in my professional life, but not everything
  169. 13:49that the psychobabble community today is saying is trauma is trauma, guys. That's not the case. That's
  170. 13:54not the case. And then some things that are traumatic instances and experiences would not historically
  171. 14:01have had the enduring impact that oftentimes it has now because we are cultivating a society that is
  172. 14:08not that is lacking in resilience in many ways.
  173. 14:12In many ways.
  174. 14:14In terms of this is strange with the data shows
  175. 14:17that it's most frequently perpetuated
  176. 14:19by adult children cutting themselves off from their parents
  177. 14:22and not the other way around.
  178. 14:25That we have allowed in many instances disagreement
  179. 14:29to metastasize into the inaccurate perception
  180. 14:35that we're incapable of having relationships with one another.
  181. 14:42What I want to tell you that it is not merely a phenomenon of modernity.
  182. 14:47What I want to say is that it is a demonic scheme.
  183. 14:51And we want to expose the demonic scheme and be reminded of Jesus's instructions.
  184. 14:58Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall see God.
  185. 15:09A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  186. 15:13Time reading and meditating on God's work is so valuable.
  187. 15:17It blesses you in ways that you and I don't fully comprehend.
  188. 15:21But remember this, when you're reading the Word of God,
  189. 15:23you're spending time with Jesus.
  190. 15:25You're spending time in the presence of Jesus.
  191. 15:28Jesus is touching you, ministering to you, giving you wisdom,
  192. 15:31insight and the knowledge of God.
  193. 15:34And let me say to every parent listening again,
  194. 15:36having your child to read the word out loud to you every day,
  195. 15:39I can't overemphasize how important that very important
  196. 15:43spiritual habit is in your home for you and your family as well.
  197. 15:46Remember when the child is reading the word of God out loud to you.
  198. 15:50They're spending time with Jesus. Jesus is touching their life.
  199. 15:55He's ministering to them. He's pouring grace, peace, and light into your child's heart and mind.
  200. 16:00Nothing will bless your child more than the powerful word of God.
  201. 16:06Shiting light into the darkness. This is the Hamilton Corner, on American Family Radio.
  202. 16:19Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. I wanted to correct my quotation from the Matthew 5 reference
  203. 16:24They're blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called
  204. 16:27Sons of God it is God who calls his people to be ministers of reconciliation and so
  205. 16:34this is a part of our inheritance as
  206. 16:39Disciples of the king of glory, you know, and it's and I just want to point out, you know, this is
  207. 16:44If you're watching the show you look I'm holding up communist manifesto
  208. 16:48I'm reading for you divides this demonic
  209. 16:52screed into separate books I am in.
  210. 16:57This is on page 780 of this edition because it was published in many languages and many
  211. 17:06different fonts and things of that nature.
  212. 17:10So the pages don't always line up depending on what edition you have.
  213. 17:15But marks and angles, man, they just said plainly what they thought, just like the
  214. 17:21the democratic socialists of America are starting to say,
  215. 17:23and people will say, hey, Abraham,
  216. 17:26you didn't, you're saying Mark said this?
  217. 17:28No, he didn't, and I'm like, have you read it for yourself?
  218. 17:31You know, I'll read directly from the book.
  219. 17:32It says this quote, abolition of the family
  220. 17:37with an exclamation point.
  221. 17:39You see, the bourgeois family will vanish
  222. 17:41as a matter of course, when it's compliment vanishes,
  223. 17:44and both will vanish with the vanishing of capital.
  224. 17:47In quote, Mark's specifically sought
  225. 17:52to destroy the family.
  226. 17:53He viewed the family as an agent of oppression.
  227. 17:57He wanted children to be severed from their nuclear families
  228. 18:02and to be made children of the state,
  229. 18:04to be children who value the state,
  230. 18:06even above their personal families.
  231. 18:09And Kennedy, you'll find this interesting
  232. 18:11because among his objectives, Marx and Engels,
  233. 18:14their objectives, I should say,
  234. 18:16Marx and Engels also said specifically, oh yeah.
  235. 18:22But you will say we destroyed the most hallowed relations
  236. 18:24when we replace home education by social education.
  237. 18:29End quote, yeah.
  238. 18:30Yeah, so he also wanted to destroy the family
  239. 18:34because at his time, the family was a primary unit,
  240. 18:38institution responsible for the education of our own children.
  241. 18:42Isn't that interesting?
  242. 18:43And it's funny one of the most consistent questions
  243. 18:45I get all the time.
  244. 18:47But hey, what about socialization?
  245. 18:51Oh yeah, yeah, Moses Mordecai, Mark's left.
  246. 18:52wanted them socialized, all right? Can't make this stuff up. Can't not make this stuff up. And so
  247. 19:02but we're seeing this manifests itself at a later stage. You know, when we think about it, one of
  248. 19:07the things I want to de disabuse this audience of is the unbiblical notions of understanding
  249. 19:20children and parent relationships, you know, because I'm my my father and my mother's son for
  250. 19:24for the remainder of my life.
  251. 19:26That doesn't mean I'm in perpetuated adolescence,
  252. 19:29but I am a son for the remainder of my life.
  253. 19:31My children will be my children
  254. 19:33for the remainder of my life and their lives
  255. 19:36should the Lord Terry.
  256. 19:39This concept of, you know, when it turned 18,
  257. 19:43they got a fitting for themselves.
  258. 19:44I just challenged anybody.
  259. 19:45I know that's what our culture says,
  260. 19:46but I'll just challenge anybody in the scripture.
  261. 19:48And see, whether or not that ideology
  262. 19:50lines up with scripture.
  263. 19:52Now, I'm not an advocate for perpetuated adolescence,
  264. 19:54not at all.
  265. 19:55I've said before, I tell my sons this, that my responsibility in their lives is to train them to be men
  266. 20:01and to help them understand that by God's design, they will be men far longer
  267. 20:05should the Lord bless them with long life than they ever were boys.
  268. 20:08Tell my daughters my responsibility to train you to be women, but they will always be my children,
  269. 20:15the mechanisms and the details and the context of our interactions will change as they mature
  270. 20:23and as I grow into various life stages. But we've got to get out of this notion where we're
  271. 20:30to be able to really allow the culture to dictate to us
  272. 20:32what our standards and expectations are.
  273. 20:34And one of the major things is the scripture provides
  274. 20:38an expectation of children's involvement
  275. 20:41in our parents' lives and our parents' later stages.
  276. 20:44The Bible talks about this.
  277. 20:46The Bible talks about this.
  278. 20:48But I wanna read this to you.
  279. 20:50This was provided by a woman by the name of Hera,
  280. 20:53Estrath Marano, and I'm sharing this as one anecdote,
  281. 20:56and I'm sharing this with permission.
  282. 20:58But I'm telling you all of the people who are waiting on the phone bank.
  283. 21:05I can't tell you how many messages I've got from other people sharing their stories of suffering
  284. 21:13in this voluntary familial estrangement, familial estrangement, phenomenon.
  285. 21:18And it is heart-rending.
  286. 21:22It is heart-rending.
  287. 21:24And I want to tell you now if just as we did, I guess now it's about two weeks ago, we're
  288. 21:28going to open the phone lines in the third segment. For those of you, if you are willing
  289. 21:32to share what your experience has been with this, because as I shared then the data that
  290. 21:38I've been compiling consistently shows that about 27% of US adults are experiencing familial
  291. 21:48estrangement, 27% of US adults.
  292. 21:52So that exceeds 68 million people.
  293. 21:58Guys, that's a lot of people that are experiencing,
  294. 22:01and this is a relatively new thing that has been experiencing.
  295. 22:06And as I share it with you from the data that it dates back
  296. 22:10largely about 2015.
  297. 22:13And that's that, and that's that.
  298. 22:17But Hera, Ezra of Morano, wrote this,
  299. 22:24and her testimony reads that sleeve.
  300. 22:28My 20 year old daughter stopped talking to me.
  301. 22:34Her father and her sister two years ago.
  302. 22:38This has been devastating for us all.
  303. 22:41She moved to another state with her boyfriend,
  304. 22:44and they may have married.
  305. 22:46We were so close before she left.
  306. 22:48This still makes no sense.
  307. 22:49We tried reaching out through letters, emails,
  308. 22:52and even gifts.
  309. 22:54The only response was that she needed to do this
  310. 22:56and to please respect her decision.
  311. 22:58The pain I experienced is unbearable at times.
  312. 23:02I want to visit her, but my husband and the others
  313. 23:04think I shouldn't.
  314. 23:06What can I do?
  315. 23:11Those are the kinds of things that are happening
  316. 23:15and so many of the testimonials that I've
  317. 23:19read from others that were not a part of an empirical study
  318. 23:25They line up with those that were parts of empirical studies that you often have an adult
  319. 23:31child who just one day decide no more contact and it's with no warning, with no build up,
  320. 23:41and it's just, man, it's said, it's greevingly said.
  321. 23:46Then there's a professor who published a book titled Fault Lines, Fractured Families
  322. 23:55and How to Men Them.
  323. 23:56His name is Dr. Carl Pelimer and he also works in the Medical Department of Cornell University.
  324. 24:04And he is talking about this same phenomenon and he said something, when I'm saying he
  325. 24:11said something, he wrote an article about this.
  326. 24:15And he mentioned that there are some features that are consistent when reconciliation takes
  327. 24:24place.
  328. 24:26And one of the things is that there is an in humility that is exhibited on both ends of
  329. 24:35the estrangement spectrum.
  330. 24:40And then he says, quote, reconciliation clearly isn't for everybody, but I found that no one
  331. 24:46regretted being reconciled, end quote.
  332. 24:50And this is, I would say, a secular confirmation or affirmation of what is articulated biblically.
  333. 25:03That oftentimes, reconciliation is hard, man.
  334. 25:09It's hard.
  335. 25:11But it's so worth it.
  336. 25:13Then in one of his concluded remarks, and this is something that I drew great encouragement
  337. 25:17from, he said, quote, what I learned from studying the estranged and the reconciled is how important
  338. 25:22the family still is.
  339. 25:24that in a world where things are fluid, the relationships with our families of origin are
  340. 25:28the most stable and important that most of us will ever have."
  341. 25:32End quote.
  342. 25:42You have this consistent thread that again, and I don't want to overuse the reference to
  343. 25:48a demonic scheme, but that's what it is, man.
  344. 25:52That's woven, you know, throughout human history where efforts are to infiltrate and usurp and
  345. 26:01and then to divide the family to be the, the, the, the
  346. 26:06antithesis to Psalm 78 coming to fruition or even Psalm 128,
  347. 26:11when it starts with the transformed individual, the blessed man, it concludes
  348. 26:16with he, his wife, he and his wife seeing his children's children.
  349. 26:20And peace being upon Israel.
  350. 26:23You have marks, abolition of the family seeking to accomplish that,
  351. 26:29as well as the supplanting and replacing of home education with what he called social education,
  352. 26:36which is always pronounced in my mind.
  353. 26:41We have people who would challenge the concept of home-based discipleship by saying,
  354. 26:45what about their socialization?
  355. 26:46They don't realize and they're walking right into Marx's trap.
  356. 26:53But one of the things I want to mention is that the God that we serve is a reconciler.
  357. 26:59You know one of the things that we have in scripture you read John chapter 10 and 11 the Bible explains that Lazarus was
  358. 27:08dead four days dead, you know in fact when his
  359. 27:14Sisters Martha and Mary learned
  360. 27:18That Jesus says show me where you laid him, you know and they say no my lord if you'd come early you certainly could have done something about this
  361. 27:25But now he's dead, man.
  362. 27:28He's four days thinking.
  363. 27:30And then when they rolled the gravestone away, the odor filled, the atmosphere.
  364. 27:38And it is in that condition, that specific condition Jesus says Lazarus come forth.
  365. 27:45One thing that we can sometimes miss in the face of the miraculous display of God's power
  366. 27:55in the Lazarus account is that when you have Lazarus
  367. 27:59who comes basically hopping forth from the burial site,
  368. 28:05he still comes out with his grave clothes on.
  369. 28:08And then they had to have others to come
  370. 28:11to loose Lazarus from his grave clothes.
  371. 28:14And I'm saying this to say that there's a reality
  372. 28:17that a resurrection can't occur,
  373. 28:18but oftentimes the Lord requires his people
  374. 28:20to be his hands and feet to remove the grave clothes.
  375. 28:23From a situation that's been resurrected,
  376. 28:25but it still bears the markings of death.
  377. 28:29But it requires intentionality, clarity, discernment,
  378. 28:32to recognize, oh no, no, it's not dead any longer,
  379. 28:35but it sure has the markings of death.
  380. 28:38And there needs to be a loosing of the grave clothes.
  381. 28:40But the Lord includes that encounter scripture
  382. 28:42to convey first and foremost that Jesus is the resurrection
  383. 28:47and the life.
  384. 28:50What is death to him who is the resurrection and the life?
  385. 28:53But I would add that the most important desire that would even exceed the human desire for
  386. 29:04a restoration of relationship is for relationship with Christ first.
  387. 29:10That the foremost objective should be for Christ to be glorified.
  388. 29:14There's a reason why when you have in 1 Peter chapter 3, the seminal apologetic scripture,
  389. 29:19when we are to always be ready to give a reason for the hope that we have.
  390. 29:23What does the Lord say to the apostle Peter that should proceed that?
  391. 29:26Sanctify Christ in your hearts as Lord,
  392. 29:30that has to be the prerequisite because our desire is not merely,
  393. 29:33should never be merely to win an argument.
  394. 29:37Our desire should be to win a person, to win a person.
  395. 29:43And what is death to him who is the resurrection and the life?
  396. 29:53Based on what I know personally,
  397. 29:56the stories I've heard directly, the messages you've sent me,
  398. 30:00the callers who've tuned in,
  399. 30:01I know that the circumstances are very difficult
  400. 30:03in some instances.
  401. 30:05I want to encourage you to refuse to lose heart,
  402. 30:11to refuse to lose heart,
  403. 30:15to welcome the Lord, to give you a Holy Spirit-induced
  404. 30:21stamina to pray without ceasing.
  405. 30:24There's so many circumstances that I think about our dear sister Laura Perry, who's now
  406. 30:32Laura Perry Smalls, and the nine years she spent living as a man, living as a Jake, you
  407. 30:38know.
  408. 30:39How many times during that time period do you think that Laura's parents were tempted
  409. 30:45to give up, you know, to stop praying for her, to stop loving her, to stop declaring
  410. 30:50truth to her?
  411. 30:51Not in a belligerent flat fashion, not attempting to bludgeon her with it, but remaining a
  412. 30:55a consistent and compassionate source of both love and truth.
  413. 31:00In fact, love requires truth.
  414. 31:04It consistently communicating the necessity,
  415. 31:08or not the necessity, but the reality
  416. 31:12that she, Laura, was still important to her parents.
  417. 31:14And I'm not saying this to say
  418. 31:16that this is the model that everybody should follow it
  419. 31:19and everybody is guaranteed the same results.
  420. 31:21I am not saying that at all.
  421. 31:24But what I am saying is that our God is a healer
  422. 31:26and is a restorer.
  423. 31:30And while I appreciate the offerings of people like Dr. Palerma,
  424. 31:38Palerma, and others, that there's a great physician who
  425. 31:43supersedes their knowledge base.
  426. 31:47And then I'm telling you, I don't want anybody to think I'm
  427. 31:49saying this on this microphone in a cavalier, disconnected,
  428. 31:53and distant fashion.
  429. 31:56Because you could easily say, but hey,
  430. 31:57you don't know about my circumstance.
  431. 31:59And I don't know all of the details
  432. 32:01of every individual circumstance,
  433. 32:03but what I do know to be true,
  434. 32:05comprehensively and across the board,
  435. 32:08is that the God that we serve does not change.
  436. 32:15And so at the moment where you may be tempted to give up
  437. 32:18and kind of having all this lost disposition,
  438. 32:23I would encourage you with the words of scripture.
  439. 32:27Do not grow weary in well-doing.
  440. 32:31Do not grow weary in well-doing.
  441. 32:34Because God is the one who knows what the due season is.
  442. 32:38And one thing I've learned in my own experience
  443. 32:40is even in people who would shout me down
  444. 32:43in front of groups, that when life hits in a peculiar way,
  445. 32:47people tend to seek out those who would direct them to truth.
  446. 32:54Do not grow weary and well doing.
  447. 32:56Continue to cry out to the Lord for your loved ones.

  471. 34:23Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the third.
  472. 34:26Here, the phone number to call if you'd like to join us this segment is 888 589 8840.
  473. 34:34That number again is 888 589 8840.
  474. 34:39We're opening the phone line specifically for those who would like to share their own experiences
  475. 34:44with this voluntary familial estrangement
  476. 34:47where a family member has made determination
  477. 34:51the sever relationship.
  478. 34:53And I wanna tell you that the purpose of these conversations
  479. 34:57is one of the things I want to accomplish
  480. 34:59is to help others to understand that you're not alone.
  481. 35:03This is something that is far more common
  482. 35:05than many people are familiar with.
  483. 35:07Frankly, I was not aware of how prevalent this was
  484. 35:11until I started digging into this.
  485. 35:13And this is an evil thing that needs to be exposed.
  486. 35:17Secondarily, I wanted to say very plainly
  487. 35:21that there is hope in Christ.
  488. 35:23So if you would like to share,
  489. 35:25especially those of you who are on hold,
  490. 35:27we did this before and you didn't get to come on the air,
  491. 35:30I wanna invite you to call in again,
  492. 35:32and we'll try our best to get you on.
  493. 35:34The number to call is 888-589-8840.
  494. 35:39The number again is 888-589-8840.
  495. 35:43I'm inviting you to share your experience
  496. 35:47with familial estrange, but it can be directly
  497. 35:49or with a family member, 888-589-8840.
  498. 35:55As the callers are making their way in,
  499. 35:57and it's already starting, just over the weekend.
  500. 36:05And I'm going to share these stories
  501. 36:07because I'm not trying to paint with an overly broad brush
  502. 36:10to try to present this in the wrong light, but there were two attacks. One early this morning,
  503. 36:16one yesterday, in Europe, one in Paris, France, where, where, wasn't a lack of gun control,
  504. 36:23but it was, you know, a guy who hit the streets of Paris with two kitchen knives,
  505. 36:28butcher knives, and he stabbed three women, one of them was pregnant, a 19 year old, a 24 year old,
  506. 36:37and a 36 year old and witnesses on the scene said the men repeatedly stated that
  507. 36:44he did this because Allah commanded him. That's why he was stabbing women in
  508. 36:51Paris and the day before I guess less than 40 hours before you haven't had
  509. 36:56another Muslim who ran his vehicle into a bunch of people who were going to a
  510. 37:07pride parade in Germany. Then he hops out of his vehicle with a machete, hacks a person
  511. 37:14to death, leaves more than leaves more than 29 others injured. Turns out this this this dude
  512. 37:21had already been arrested for trying to join ISIS. No, by the way, he was 21 years old, by
  513. 37:26the way. He'd already been arrested for trying to join ISIS in Syria. He is Lebanese ethnically,
  514. 37:34as mom became a German citizen two years prior to these three years prior to these attacks.
  515. 37:42But remarkably, in Paris when they detained the knife-wielding, Allah commanded me a sealant,
  516. 37:55they said that they weren't sure what the motivation was.
  517. 37:57I'm not, investigation is still underway.
  518. 38:00I'm not sure what the motivation was.
  519. 38:01And in both instances, I just want to ask, is this consistent with or in violation of
  520. 38:10what Muhammad and Hadiz taught?
  521. 38:16Is it consistent with or is it in violation?
  522. 38:19Listen to how I'll start first in Paris, listen to him, watch clip number four, clip
  523. 38:23four, go.
  524. 38:24French police have detained a man after he attacked three women with knives in Paris.
  525. 38:31according to the interior minister.
  526. 38:34She says that the man tacked the three women who are 19, 24, and 36 years old, attacking
  527. 38:41the three women with two kitchen knives and severely wounding two of them.
  528. 38:46Now there was a video that was airing on X. It was verified by Reuters. It showed a man
  529. 38:52with long black hair wearing a cream tracksuit and wielding a large knife in each hand, stabbing
  530. 38:59and attempting to attack a young woman, it is unclear whether that specific woman was
  531. 39:05injured.
  532. 39:06And then there's another part of the video that shows the same man lying on the ground
  533. 39:10immobilized by bystanders with those two knives lying nearby.
  534. 39:16According to the man, he said, quote, it is Allah who commanded me.
  535. 39:21So that is what the man is quoted to have said as he was on the ground.
  536. 39:26The French interior minister said that the man had been detained by an off-duty police officer.
  537. 39:34But the investigators wasn't sure what his motivation was.
  538. 39:37I'll give you the next one in Germany.
  539. 39:41Clip number five.
  540. 39:42Clip five.
  541. 39:43Go.
  542. 39:44So from overseas, big story over the weekend, the suspect in that deadly Berlin pride attack
  543. 39:49shot and killed in a confrontation with police.
  544. 39:53He's accused of killing one person, injuring 29 others.
  545. 39:55Could have been a lot worse.
  546. 39:57The suspect, a German citizen with Lebanese roots, authorities say it ties with Islamic
  547. 40:02extremism and by all accounts, he was on the radar of some sort.
  548. 40:10Jeff Paul's got more from London and Jeff, what have you learned?
  549. 40:16Investigators say the attack happened on Saturday, they believe the suspect Abdul Balat intentionally
  550. 40:21drove a van into a crowd at the Berlin Pride Festival.
  551. 40:24Police say he then got out and started stabbing others, with a machete.
  552. 40:28He was on the run for a day and when officers found the suspect, they say he ran towards
  553. 40:33them with a knife.
  554. 40:35Police then fired at least one shot, killing the suspect on the scene.
  555. 40:41I mean, dude has already been arrested for trying to join ISIS.
  556. 40:46Somebody don't want to explain to me why they still had him in the country.
  557. 40:50I mean, you trying to join ISIS, you've already been arrested and served time for doing so.
  558. 40:57Then you just let him back out in the country to the phone lines.
  559. 41:00We'll start in North Carolina.
  560. 41:01Pam is on the line.
  561. 41:03Pam, welcome to the Hamilton corner.
  562. 41:05Go right ahead.
  563. 41:09We gotta get Pam on.
  564. 41:10There we go.
  565. 41:11I just wanted to.
  566. 41:18I tried to, I thought about calling last time,
  567. 41:20but I didn't feel led to do it, but I do tonight.
  568. 41:24And I just know that for my experience,
  569. 41:27once I became a believer as an older person,
  570. 41:31I was in my, I got baptized when I was 28.
  571. 41:35I always say I got my fire insurance
  572. 41:38at a Southern Baptist Church in New Orleans, right?
  573. 41:41At the road from OPW.
  574. 41:43Oh.
  575. 41:45But anyhow, what I know now is that when I did that later
  576. 41:51in life, I wasn't really discipled.
  577. 41:54And I was still on the milk
  578. 41:55and I really didn't understand that the devil
  579. 41:58was gonna be on me like, why don't I?
  580. 42:00And he really was and he proved himself to
  581. 42:07how can I put this?
  582. 42:09I was married in my marriage, I was unequally out.
  583. 42:14And my husband at the time decided to cheat on me
  584. 42:17with a 19 year old Sunday school teacher.
  585. 42:21The whole point of that exercise was
  586. 42:23because the devil wants us to think poorly of God's people,
  587. 42:28not just of God, but God's people.
  588. 42:31And so I know now that even though I've gone through
  589. 42:35with my daughter from that marriage,
  590. 42:38he was estranged from me, ghosted me for eight plus years,
  591. 42:42but by the blood, by the grace of God,
  592. 42:45we have a pretty good relationship.
  593. 42:48Still not, she's still not saved yet.
  594. 42:52Notice how I say yet, but we are in good relationship.
  595. 42:58Perfect, no.
  596. 43:00Also, I have found that where the scripture says,
  597. 43:04bear with, we test the spirits
  598. 43:08because not every spirit is a good spirit.
  599. 43:11And even those who are in the church,
  600. 43:13unfortunately, have what I call a Phariseeical spirit.
  601. 43:18And that goes with our family.
  602. 43:21My family who claims to be Christian
  603. 43:25definitely has a Phariseeical spirit
  604. 43:29where I've learned that they have,
  605. 43:32I get tested a lot by them.
  606. 43:34I might have missed this when you explain this.
  607. 43:36Did you say that you became a Christian
  608. 43:39after you were already married?
  609. 43:43Well, I got baptized.
  610. 43:45Well, you were already married before you did that.
  611. 43:48Yes, yes, yes.
  612. 43:50And he was a non-believer.
  613. 43:52Okay.
  614. 43:53And from what I understand, he still is a non-believer.
  615. 43:57but my daughter who is a product of that marriage
  616. 44:03was very
  617. 44:05a mostly abused because of that situation.
  618. 44:10And now, you know, I see, I can see
  619. 44:14that the devil was trying, and he still does,
  620. 44:17try to make her think poorly of God's people.
  621. 44:21And that is something that is a consistent effort.
  622. 44:24You know, when you say something key,
  623. 44:26which is why we as a body of Christ have got to understand
  624. 44:29that the Great Commission is to make disciples
  625. 44:31not merely converts, that as we have people
  626. 44:34who come to faith in Christ,
  627. 44:36that we commit to investing in our new and younger believers,
  628. 44:41and I don't mean young in terms of age chronology,
  629. 44:43but in terms of time spent in walking with the Lord
  630. 44:47and making disciples as Jesus commented us to.
  631. 44:50We'll go next to Texas where Randy is on the line.
  632. 44:53Randy, thank you for calling to him,
  633. 44:54we're going to welcome to the program.
  634. 44:56and you've got to handle the border.
  635. 44:58Time to read it out, Lee, Randy, so we can reduce that going.
  636. 45:03Oh, I did not realize that.
  637. 45:06OK.
  638. 45:07Go right ahead, sir.
  639. 45:10Well, Abraham, I'll try to make this quick.
  640. 45:14First, thank you for all you do.
  641. 45:16I am a believer.
  642. 45:17Like the last call, I came to faith in life quite a bit
  643. 45:20later than her.
  644. 45:21I was 49.
  645. 45:22I'm currently 61.
  646. 45:24Married a woman about a year later.
  647. 45:26Also a believer.
  648. 45:27Also came to faith in life.
  649. 45:29And we have been estranged from my mother, who's not a believer.
  650. 45:36And her second husband, not my father, also not a believer for nine years now.
  651. 45:43We had a good relationship before I became a Christian.
  652. 45:46After I became a Christian, it got a little weird because they're not, but still
  653. 45:51maintained a good relationship.
  654. 45:53Uh, when I met who was to be my future wife, we also all had a great relationship.
  655. 45:59She loved her, she loved the family.
  656. 46:02As soon as a year later, when I proposed to my wife,
  657. 46:06as soon as we announced an engagement,
  658. 46:08my mother had a 180 and became a different person
  659. 46:12and started becoming very hostile
  660. 46:14in a passive-aggressive way to my future wife.
  661. 46:18Kept getting worse and worse, we got married,
  662. 46:21it got really bad.
  663. 46:23A lot of interference in our marriage,
  664. 46:25a more passive-aggressive behavior with my wife,
  665. 46:29constantly wanting to visit calling us at all times, called us repeatedly on our honeymoon.
  666. 46:37I started setting boundaries, you know, tried to keep the relationship, but said some boundaries.
  667. 46:43She never honored the boundaries. And then after months and months of that and my poor wife,
  668. 46:51you know, dealing with all this, I had to set a permanent boundary and break contact. It's been
  669. 46:58in nine years every once in a while my wife and I talk about it and she's frankly even nine
  670. 47:04years later traumatized and not very pleased with the idea of being in touch with my mother
  671. 47:11and pastoral advice that this is a legitimate boundary. But I wonder sometimes and wondering
  672. 47:19what your take is, Helen, Abraham.
  673. 47:22Well it's very challenging. Obviously gave me a summation. I don't know all of the details
  674. 47:26and things that are going on and I definitely wouldn't want to rival pastoral council.
  675. 47:34And it seems like it's something that you initiated on your end.
  676. 47:38I do wonder, as you just said, you wondered if there could be some kingdom of God related
  677. 47:46impetus to seek some level of restoration at certain level and if that could be done in
  678. 47:51a healthy manner.
  679. 47:52I tend to think at a minimum, at a minimum, that you and your wife can, and I'm not saying
  680. 47:59you're not because you didn't say you're not, but if you're not, or if you are, continue
  681. 48:04spending time in prayer for your relatives, because as I mentioned at the very beginning
  682. 48:09of this program, that God is a restorer, and it would be a wonderful situation if you and
  683. 48:15your wife's testimony of life lived before the Lord would be something that would be an
  684. 48:21evangelistic tool for your relatives. We'll go next to Iowa where Ann is on the line. And
  685. 48:27thank you for calling the Hamilton Corner. Go right ahead. Hi, thank you. For what you
  686. 48:34do and it's a strange minute. My two daughters, they got an eraser in the church and they both
  687. 48:41and supposedly Christian colleges became lesbians and now when they kept a good decent relationship
  688. 48:50but them loving them and their partners, even though they knew I believed in Christ and still,
  689. 48:57when they get engaged, I said I couldn't come to the wedding, I had to obey God and not celebrate,
  690. 49:04but I loved them and they won't let me. They cut me off completely, they won't talk to me,
  691. 49:09and it's because I won't come to the wedding. They said I had to put them before God. And
  692. 49:14I think it's in fact, how does this happen when I raise them?
  693. 49:18Oh, and oh, I'm so sorry.
  694. 49:21It is disrespectful music.
  695. 49:23It is disrespectful clock.
  696. 49:25But as so much I want to say, I wanted to contain that conversation with you longer.
  697. 49:34I can sense your heartbreak as you're sharing this.
  698. 49:36Guys, this is a real phenomenon.
  699. 49:39It's a real phenomenon.
