  1. 0:00Darkness is not an affirmative force.
  2. 0:03It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light.
  3. 0:06This is the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.

  6. 0:18And the philosophies of this world.
  7. 0:20God has called you and me to be His ambassador.
  8. 0:24Even in this dark moment.
  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:38And this is your host tonight, Bishop E.W. Jackson.
  12. 0:42Great to be with you folks.
  13. 0:44Sitting in for the inimitable April Ham Hamilton the third.
  14. 0:49And it's a pleasure and an honor to do so.
  15. 0:52Merry Christmas, everybody.
  16. 0:54Hope that all of you are into the season.
  17. 0:57And again, I know there's a lot that goes on during Christmas.
  18. 1:02But I think we've got to really stay focused on what the meaning of the season is, which is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  19. 1:12You know, we can really get so caught up in the materialism of the season, and under such pressure to spend money that we don't have, to go into debt,
  20. 1:22and just deal with all kinds of stuff that's not really going to be helpful to anybody in the end,
  21. 1:29because it really misses the whole point.
  22. 1:31Relax, take it easy, enjoy yourself.
  23. 1:35Do what you can, do what's comfortable.
  24. 1:38You know, in fact, my son and my daughter-in-law
  25. 1:40were telling me they just stopped giving gifts
  26. 1:42during Christmas, they'd say,
  27. 1:43because it just gets all caught up in that
  28. 1:47rather than in the true meaning for the season.
  29. 1:50Well, I haven't gone quite that far yet,
  30. 1:52but I understand the spirit of it,
  31. 1:54because it's a way of sort of divorcing yourself
  32. 1:58from all the hustle and the bustle that comes with it
  33. 2:02and really centering on the true meaning
  34. 2:05of what Christmas is all about.
  35. 2:06So however you choose to deal with it, do so.
  36. 2:10I just want you to enjoy the time
  37. 2:12and have it be a time of rest and reflection
  38. 2:15there's at a time of pressure and stress
  39. 2:20and just a whole lot of trouble
  40. 2:23rather than just a lot of enjoyment
  41. 2:29and a lot of spiritual satisfaction.
  42. 2:31Remember the story of Mary and Martha,
  43. 2:35when Jesus had his whole autorodge there,
  44. 2:39and Martha was responsible for,
  45. 2:41well actually both of them responsible for hosting,
  46. 2:44and they were in the process of preparing a meal,
  47. 2:48but Mary got caught up in what Jesus was saying,
  48. 2:53was sitting at his feet just basking in what Jesus was saying, just drinking it in. And Martha
  49. 2:59was busy trying to figure out in the world, am I going to take care of all these people? I got
  50. 3:03to fix food for all these people. And look at Mary, she's sitting there acting like she doesn't
  51. 3:07ever care in the world. And Martha complained and said, you know, make Mary get up. I'm paraphrasing,
  52. 3:14but you know, make Mary get up and help me. And Jesus said, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and
  53. 3:22and troubled about many things.
  54. 3:24But one thing is needful,
  55. 3:26and Mary has chosen that better part,
  56. 3:28and it shall not be taken away from her.
  57. 3:31So let's choose that better part, shall we?
  58. 3:34Because Jesus won't take that away from us.
  59. 3:37And the rest of it, it'll take care of itself.
  60. 3:42Faith without works is dead, that's true.
  61. 3:44There's some things we have to do,
  62. 3:45but I'll tell you something.
  63. 3:47The corollary is works without faith will make you dead.
  64. 3:52What would you, you'll kill yourself, try to keep up with all the stuff that, that, that
  65. 3:58we're expected to keep up with, rather than taking time to just rest in the presence of
  66. 4:04God.
  67. 4:05You know, Jesus said, one of my favorite passages at the end of my Mark chapter, Matthew chapter
  68. 4:1111 where Jesus says, come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
  69. 4:19my yoke upon you and learn of me. If I am meek and lowly of heart, you shall find rest for your souls,
  70. 4:25but my yoke is easy and my burden is light." I'm teaching a series right now on Christmas and I'm
  71. 4:33talking, well, I actually finished it up now, just a two-part series talking about the season of the
  72. 4:37supernatural. And I basically just talked, walked through all of the supernatural manifestations that
  73. 4:48God did in order to bring about the result he wanted.
  74. 4:53You know, people have been waiting for the Messiah for thousands of years.
  75. 4:58From the time of Genesis 3.15 where God says to the serpent, your seed shall bruise the woman's
  76. 5:07heel, but her seed shall bruise your head.
  77. 5:14In other words, the seed of the woman would destroy the serpent.
  78. 5:22The serpent would bruise him and Jesus was bruised on the cross.
  79. 5:25He was bruised for our iniquities.
  80. 5:29But he put his heel on the serpent and stomped him.
  81. 5:36He basically annihilated him.
  82. 5:39He's done.
  83. 5:40It's all over, except for the casting into hell and the lake of fire.
  84. 5:49It's all over.
  85. 5:50Well, that was the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah, the first prophecy of the coming
  86. 5:54of the Messiah, the prophetic word that God gave when he told the serpent what was going
  87. 5:59to happen to it.
  88. 6:01And it would be the seed of a woman.
  89. 6:02Well, women don't have any seed, do they?
  90. 6:05Men had the seed, but this would be a very special man because he would not be born of
  91. 6:11the seed of a man, he would be born of the seed of the word of the living God which lives
  92. 6:17in abides forever.
  93. 6:20So God had a virgin have a baby, God sent an angel to speak to Zechariah's, God sent an
  94. 6:29angel to speak to Mary, God sent angels to speak to the shepherds, God spoke to Anna, the
  95. 6:37The prophetess, God spoke to Simeon, the prophet.
  96. 6:40God spoke to Joseph in a dream.
  97. 6:43God had a star lead the wise men all the way from somewhere
  98. 6:48in the East, probably Persia or somewhere in that area.
  99. 6:51800 to 1000 miles across the known world to witness
  100. 7:00the coming of a king.
  101. 7:03So look, when God is ready to do something in our lives,
  102. 7:06when the moment has come that would God foreordained for you?
  103. 7:15All the devils in hell can't stop it.
  104. 7:19Herret and the slaughter of the innocents
  105. 7:21tried to kill every child two years old and under,
  106. 7:24but he couldn't stop it.
  107. 7:27And so, yeah, the devil can rise up in rage
  108. 7:31and do everything in his power to try to stop you.
  109. 7:35But when God is ready for what he has in store,
  110. 7:39for you to be fulfilled, nothing can stop it.
  111. 7:45And God will move heaven and he will supersede
  112. 7:50all natural order and law in order to get it done.
  113. 7:55You know, stars don't lead people around.
  114. 7:58Stars don't do that, but this star did.
  115. 8:04And so when God is ready, it's coming to pass.
  116. 8:09So this is the season for the supernatural,
  117. 8:14expect wonderful things from God.
  118. 8:16We ought to have our next stretched out
  119. 8:18in white, hot expectation of good things from the Lord
  120. 8:21because that's what he wants to do for us.
  121. 8:24Jeremiah 33, 3 says,
  122. 8:26"'Call to me and I will answer you and show you great
  123. 8:28and mighty things which you do not know."
  124. 8:32And Ephesians 3, 20 says,
  125. 8:35he is able to do the exceedingly abundant above all
  126. 8:39that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
  127. 8:44That's what God's desire is for us,
  128. 8:46the exceedingly abundant things that we don't even know.
  129. 8:52And that's what he did that first Christmas season.
  130. 8:56He did the exceedingly abundant.
  131. 8:57He had a plan for the redemption of mankind,
  132. 9:00which he ordained before the foundation of the world.
  133. 9:03And after thousands of years,
  134. 9:07the first earthly tangible step was made to fulfill that plan, the birth of the Christ
  135. 9:15child. Mary's baby, meek and humble lamb, the lily of the valley, the great I am. Well, look,
  136. 9:24I am as you can see in the Christmas spirit. And I trusted all of you are too. There's
  137. 9:31some news that I do want to cover today though. We have some good news. It just broke just
  138. 9:36a couple of hours ago, the president is planning to create a golden fleet of American warships.
  139. 9:46And I'll tell you, I love this idea because folks, I've been terribly concerned over the
  140. 9:51last, oh, I don't know, decade or so, that China was outstripping us on the high seas,
  141. 9:59that China was just battleships left and right,
  142. 10:07and would be in a position to completely dominate us
  143. 10:11on the high seas.
  144. 10:13And I wondered, would President Trump
  145. 10:17or any other president seek to do what only Americans can do
  146. 10:22which is to just absolutely leave our adversaries
  147. 10:26at a dust when it comes to out-building
  148. 10:29without creating and out inventing anybody.
  149. 10:32Nobody does it better than Americans, nobody.
  150. 10:36When we have the leadership and we put our minds to it,
  151. 10:40and we put our hands to the plow, just forget it.
  152. 10:44We found that out in World War II.
  153. 10:45The world found that out in World War II.
  154. 10:48When our naval fleet was practically destroyed,
  155. 10:51I forget the exact time, but it was not about six months.
  156. 10:54It had been rebuilt.
  157. 10:56In about six months, we were ready to go.
  158. 11:00Americans don't play.
  159. 11:02That Judeo-Christian ethic of faith in God, hard work,
  160. 11:08commitment, determination, relentlessness,
  161. 11:13it is a combination that no one can beat, no one.
  162. 11:19And again, as I put faith in God in the forefront of it.
  163. 11:24Monte de de, whatever one may say about
  164. 11:27Franklin Delano Roosevelt and there's a lot of negative things we could say about him,
  165. 11:35but on D-Day as our troops were landing in Normandy, he was on the radio praying across
  166. 11:45the nation, his voice heard in prayer before God to be with our troops.
  167. 11:51I'm not saying, I don't know exactly what that says about Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but I
  168. 11:55I can tell you what it says about America.
  169. 11:58Says about America that we are people of faith
  170. 12:01and that we will not be count
  171. 12:03and we will not be subjugated
  172. 12:05and we will not be forced to bow to anyone.
  173. 12:09Not Adolf Hitler, not Ho Chi Minh, not Mao Tse-Tung,
  174. 12:15not Xi Jinping, not Vladimir Putin, nobody.
  175. 12:23Nobody.
  176. 12:23We bow to no one but God.
  177. 12:27No king but Jesus, no sovereign but God.
  178. 12:31And so I am so, this is what I continually say
  179. 12:36about President Trump.
  180. 12:39You know, we can certainly quibble with some of the things
  181. 12:42he says and some of the ways he says them.
  182. 12:45But I'll tell you, his policies,
  183. 12:48I don't believe that you could have 100%,
  184. 12:51at least I probably couldn't because I have some very
  185. 12:54specific ideas about things that ought to be done.
  186. 12:56And, you know, I don't think I'm going to agree 100%
  187. 13:01with any president, but I'll tell you what,
  188. 13:04President Trump probably comes about as close
  189. 13:08as any president there's ever been.
  190. 13:13I mean, in fact, when I ran, there were things I was saying.
  191. 13:16I talked about, I really believe that I was the first person
  192. 13:19to talk about, even though the press didn't amplify
  193. 13:23what I had to say about it,
  194. 13:24but I think I was the first candidate
  195. 13:26to talk about mass deportation, that it was going to be an absolute necessity in order
  196. 13:33to try to undo the terrible damage done by the Biden administration.
  197. 13:37And President Trump comes up and says, yeah, we're going to mass deport people.
  198. 13:41We're getting people out of here.
  199. 13:43Apparently, we've had 2 million who have self-deported because the president has made clear we're
  200. 13:51going to find you and we're going to get you out.
  201. 13:52We're dealing with the criminals right now and people don't like the fact that we might
  202. 13:56be sweeping up other people. But we ought to sweep up everybody who is here illegally.
  203. 14:01If you're here illegally, you've got to go. So now the president is doing something else
  204. 14:08that I always had in the back of my mind. We've got to rebuild our naval fleet so that
  205. 14:13we are the most dominant force on the high seas. This is E. W. Jackson and for Abraham
  206. 14:20Hamilton the third, stand by coming back in just a moment.
  207. 15:10lighting, lighting to the darkness.
  208. 15:12This is the-
  209. 15:13Let me know when it's hot.
  210. 15:14An American Family Radio.
  211. 15:20Well, we're back, folks.
  212. 15:22Look, it's the Christmas season.
  213. 15:25And, you know, of all seasons,
  214. 15:28we certainly want to be gracious, right?
  215. 15:31Of course.
  216. 15:32But I'll tell you what,
  217. 15:34there's never a moment when we can be less than vigilant
  218. 15:39about the safety and security of our country.
  219. 15:41It's just that plain and simple.
  220. 15:44This is Christmas week and the president is announcing
  221. 15:47a golden fleet of ships that are about to be built.
  222. 15:50And he's talking about the quality of these ships
  223. 15:52and talking about the overruns that have happened.
  224. 15:55In fact, I think he mentioned the Gerald Ford aircraft carrier.
  225. 16:02I believe it's an aircraft carrier.
  226. 16:04And he talked about the cost overruns
  227. 16:06that just absolutely plagued that project.
  228. 16:09So this president is a builder.
  229. 16:11And I really believe that he is going to be meticulous
  230. 16:14about making sure that these vessels cost what they cost
  231. 16:20and that the American people aren't being gouged
  232. 16:23and taken advantage of, you know,
  233. 16:26with $1,000 toilets and all this kind of nonsense
  234. 16:29that we've heard about in the past.
  235. 16:31But you know, it was George Washington,
  236. 16:32my favorite American figure who said,
  237. 16:35to be prepared for war is one of the most effective means
  238. 16:39of preserving peace.
  239. 16:42I believe that with all my heart.
  240. 16:45Folks, thank God, I have never seen combat.
  241. 16:49I thought I was going to,
  242. 16:50because I joined the Marine Corps in 1970,
  243. 16:53thinking I was going to Vietnam,
  244. 16:55and I did voluntarily join.
  245. 16:58And I thought that I was going to see combat.
  246. 17:01We were certainly trained for it and prepared for it.
  247. 17:04In fact, the radar I was trained to work on
  248. 17:06was a bomb-dropping radar that was intended to be used
  249. 17:09in the bush to help airplanes fly above any ground to air
  250. 17:15mortars or missiles that might be launched against them.
  251. 17:20But I never saw a day of combat.
  252. 17:25But I know people who did.
  253. 17:28And I tell you, it's no joke.
  254. 17:31It's no joke.
  255. 17:32And I think anybody who makes light of sending people potentially
  256. 17:38to their death, sending them to fight and potentially die for our country.
  257. 17:43Anybody who makes a light of that is a fool.
  258. 17:45However, that's what is needed in an evil and
  259. 17:50sin-sick world.
  260. 17:52It's unavoidable.
  261. 17:55We don't make light of it, but we can't pretend it's not necessary at times.
  262. 18:01And so if we want to really live in peace, we've got to understand that there are
  263. 18:06evil forces out there who would love to subjugate us or love to use us.
  264. 18:10love to destroy us and we've got to be prepared to stop them with force if necessary.
  265. 18:15And I appreciate that about President Trump that he, I think he understands that on a visceral level.
  266. 18:22And so he's taking steps to do something that I've thought needs to be done, has needed to be done for a long, long time,
  267. 18:30which is reassert American naval dominance in the world.
  268. 18:36because I think that in many ways we have lost that dominance to communist China
  269. 18:40so that we can meet them and they know they're going to meet the most effective
  270. 18:47naval fleet ever known to mankind and that's the way we should be seen as a
  271. 18:53country the most effective the most powerful naval fleet ever known in the
  272. 19:00history of mankind so they understand you mess with Americans you're
  273. 19:05force them to fight, you're going to regret you ever did. So, God bless you, President Trump,
  274. 19:13for taking steps to do something that I believe is needed to be done for a long, long time. I think
  275. 19:20things like testing are nuclear arsenal. That's something that needs to be done. God forbid that
  276. 19:25we would ever have to use it. I mean, again, Lord knows, I mean, these are weapons of mass destruction,
  277. 19:31weapons of annihilation. These are genocidal weapons, but our enemies have them. And we've got to make
  278. 19:39sure that God forbid in the event of a nuclear confrontation, they understand they will be facing
  279. 19:45a nation whose nuclear arsenal is second to none with the effectiveness and the accuracy of it is
  280. 19:52second to none. So even during Christmas, these are things that we have to be aware of and just have
  281. 20:00have to deal with. I'm going to be taking your calls after the next segment, and I'd love to have you weigh on, you know, on this.
  282. 20:06Now, let me come back to something that I happened to mention earlier today, because I'll be on again tomorrow with substituting, substitute hosting for Jenna Ellis, and I'll be on again tomorrow night substituting for Abe.
  283. 20:19But I mentioned this morning, I want to come back to it, you know, America Fest is happening, turning point USA is the largest they've ever had 30,000 people showed up.
  284. 20:28I couldn't do it.
  285. 20:29My schedule simply would not allow me to be there.
  286. 20:34But, but I have nothing but admiration
  287. 20:37for the life and work of Charlie Kirk
  288. 20:39and those who are carrying it on.
  289. 20:41I would sound a couple of notes of caution.
  290. 20:44However, a couple of notes of caution today,
  291. 20:46earlier today I mentioned,
  292. 20:47I thought JD Vance speech,
  293. 20:49I had a lot of good stuff in it.
  294. 20:51Boy, it sure did sound to me like a presidential speech,
  295. 20:54like a campaign speech.
  296. 20:56I just thought it's just too early for that.
  297. 21:00And we've got three years to go in the Trump administration.
  298. 21:05And we can only have one president.
  299. 21:08Let's kind of lighten up on the campaign speeches.
  300. 21:12And I did feel like a lot of that was kind of a campaign speech.
  301. 21:17But the other thing is, I just think it's too early
  302. 21:20to be making these kinds of choices.
  303. 21:22And with all due respect to Erica, Kirk,
  304. 21:25I don't think we should be endorsing anybody at this stage of the game because there are
  305. 21:29a number of good candidates out there.
  306. 21:32And, and frankly, we need a chance to get to know them.
  307. 21:34You know, we're just getting to know JD Vance.
  308. 21:38And we're now now going to chance to get to know Marco Rubio in a more mature way than
  309. 21:43we ever had before.
  310. 21:44Because I think Marco Rubio is coming into his own.
  311. 21:48My good friend Ted Cruz, I think that he still has presidential aspirations.
  312. 21:54He may throw his hat into the ring and then Ron DeSantis is another one that people think
  313. 21:59has a real future that the White House is in that future.
  314. 22:04So let's not rush.
  315. 22:07And by the way, I'm not endorsing any of the people I've mentioned and maybe who knows,
  316. 22:11there may be somebody else waiting in the way that I haven't even thought about.
  317. 22:14But I'm not endorsing anybody at this stage.
  318. 22:16I'm waiting to see how this all unfolds and waiting for the leading of the Lord.
  319. 22:21I just think it's a little bit too early to be carnating JD Vance or anybody else.
  320. 22:29The second thing I would say about this whole thing is, there are two organizations, well,
  321. 22:37really three is turning point action, but it's also turning point faith.
  322. 22:40Haven't heard a lot about turning point faith since the deaths of Charlie Kirk, but turning
  323. 22:44point faith is, I shouldn't say was, is sort of their faith arm.
  324. 22:50And I guess they're primarily working with pastors.
  325. 22:54I would say that there's a little bit of focusing that's going to need to be done because this
  326. 23:04woman that they had as a big guest on Nicki Minaj, the rapper.
  327. 23:13And I don't know who Nicki Minaj is to be very honest folks.
  328. 23:16I mean, I know who she is in terms of she's an entertainer and I know she's a rapper or
  329. 23:20singer or something like that. I've never heard a lick of our music. I wouldn't know it if I heard it
  330. 23:26and without seeing her on television, I wouldn't know her if I ran into it. But you know, I decided
  331. 23:33since she played such a prominent role, or at least was prominently featured, I don't know that she
  332. 23:39played a big role, but she was prominently featured at Turning Point USA. I thought I'd look her up,
  333. 23:44see what she's about. She is of course one of the, she may be the top female rapper of the entire
  334. 23:51their entertainment history of rap,
  335. 23:55and one of the top entertainers in the industry today,
  336. 24:00but she's apparently a very nasty woman.
  337. 24:03Now, I'm seeing, I don't mean nasty in terms of mean,
  338. 24:07but her rap is apparently filled with profanity
  339. 24:12and sexuality and she even does some gangster rapping.
  340. 24:17And, you know, when I, when I saw that, I thought,
  341. 24:26didn't we just kind of go through this?
  342. 24:32Aren't we kind of this right now with Candace Owens
  343. 24:35and even Tucker Carlson to some extent?
  344. 24:38In other words, you know, we elevate these people
  345. 24:42and they have celebrity status.
  346. 24:46And then one day you turn around
  347. 24:48and they've kind of gone off the rails.
  348. 24:50The reason I said there's a little bit of focusing that needs to happen is if turning point USA
  349. 25:00is going to be an organization of faith, right?
  350. 25:03And we're going to emphasize our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and God and God bless
  351. 25:08them for doing so.
  352. 25:11I don't think Nicki Minaj is somebody that you want to be elevating and not based upon
  353. 25:18everything I've learned in the brief time.
  354. 25:21I did some research on it and, oh boy, I'll tell you.
  355. 25:24Yeah, I mean, it's not the kind of stuff you want your young,
  356. 25:30anybody for that matter adults either,
  357. 25:34but certainly it's not the kind of stuff you want young people
  358. 25:38to be exposed to.
  359. 25:40And people like me, for example,
  360. 25:43and probably a lot of young people maybe raised in Christian homes
  361. 25:45or in Christian environments,
  362. 25:47I could be naive about this because maybe they're seeing and hearing this stuff
  363. 25:50because of their age and what's circulating
  364. 25:53in their circles and all of that.
  365. 25:56But I have to believe there are some people
  366. 25:57raised in a Christian environment
  367. 25:59who'd never heard of her, but they have now.
  368. 26:03And probably never listened to her music.
  369. 26:06Who knows?
  370. 26:07They may now and would wonder why in the world
  371. 26:12is she on stage at turning point USA?
  372. 26:14Oh my goodness gracious folks.
  373. 26:16I mean, ooh, yeah, I, you know,
  374. 26:19There are some rappers who, sort of,
  375. 26:22are inspirational rappers, you know what I mean?
  376. 26:24And they're, obviously, there's some Christian rappers
  377. 26:27and I love that.
  378. 26:28I mean, I love it.
  379. 26:29You know that they're reaching young people
  380. 26:31with a clear, uncompromising message
  381. 26:34of the lordship of Jesus Christ
  382. 26:36and the importance of salvation.
  383. 26:37In other words, they're using rap to proclaim the gospel.
  384. 26:41Praise God for them.
  385. 26:42I have no problem with that whatsoever.
  386. 26:44I know some people do, I don't.
  387. 26:46If the message is crystal clear,
  388. 26:49then to me, the style of the music,
  389. 26:51and I know there's some prominent people
  390. 26:53who have disagreed with me on this,
  391. 26:55but to me, the style of the music is irrelevant
  392. 26:58because if the message is absolutely unequivocally clear,
  393. 27:02it's that word is going to get into the hearts of folks
  394. 27:05and they're gonna be people to say
  395. 27:06because it's the message is just crystal clear.
  396. 27:09The trumpet is giving a certain sound
  397. 27:11and people can prepare for the battle.
  398. 27:15But that's not what Nicki Minaj is doing.
  399. 27:18Let me tell you, not even by, I mean,
  400. 27:22not even inspiration is really ugly stuff
  401. 27:26from a Christian perspective.
  402. 27:27So I just thought that's a couple of notes that were hit.
  403. 27:33And you know, we're in that aftermath of, you know,
  404. 27:37Charlie Kirk's assassination.
  405. 27:38And I realize people are reluctant to look critically
  406. 27:42at almost anything associated with him.
  407. 27:45But I don't think we should ever turn off
  408. 27:47our sense of discernment, right?
  409. 27:50We should always be looking with some discernment.
  410. 27:53And again, I am not in any way debunking
  411. 27:56or devaluing or diminishing the work of turning point USA.
  412. 28:00I think it is magnificent.
  413. 28:02I really do.
  414. 28:03But I think again, young people,
  415. 28:07a lot of stuff going on, a lot of accolades,
  416. 28:12a lot of fame, a lot of influence.
  417. 28:16And even some of the biggest celebrities
  418. 28:20want to be in your orbit because so many people
  419. 28:23are paying attention to you right now.
  420. 28:26But that doesn't necessarily mean it's the healthiest thing
  421. 28:30to do.
  422. 28:31Billy Graham used to do this quite effectively.
  423. 28:34But my understanding is that Billy Graham, when
  424. 28:37I say do this effectively, Billy Graham would get celebrities
  425. 28:40and he would bring them on stage and use that
  426. 28:43to help attract the crowd.
  427. 28:44But my understanding is Billy Graham would get Christians,
  428. 28:48Christian baseball players, Christian football players,
  429. 28:50Christian basketball players.
  430. 28:52He would bring them out to give their testimony,
  431. 28:59not just while this person's a celebrity
  432. 29:01and therefore I'm gonna bring them out to attract people.
  433. 29:03And that person just loses a duck and a hailstorm.
  434. 29:09The other danger of this is that somebody like this
  435. 29:14who's just been put up on stage
  436. 29:16of it's the people talking about Christianity and America being a Christian nation and then goes out
  437. 29:21and does something that is absolutely a shock to the nation and people say, well, wait a minute,
  438. 29:28this person was just on the stage at turning point USA. What is that all about? And it has a way of
  439. 29:37casting aspersions on an organization that is really seeking to do good. So just my note of caution
  440. 29:45there because again, you know, the Bible warns us against making a novice of Bishop, lest
  441. 29:52they be lifted up with pride and fall into the sneer of the devil.
  442. 29:54Now, there's a woman, Nicki Minaj, who's already a celebrity in her own right.
  443. 29:57So it's not like, you know, you're giving her some great platform that she didn't have
  444. 30:03in terms of her renown, but you are giving her a platform to some people that didn't perhaps
  445. 30:09know about her over certainly weren't following her.
  446. 30:12I'm one of them.
  447. 30:13I didn't know about her.
  448. 30:14I mean, I think I've heard the name, but again, I don't listen to pop music.
  449. 30:18I listen to gospel music, a little bit of country here and there, you know, but I'm very,
  450. 30:26very selective on what I let myself listen to.
  451. 30:30Every now and then, I'll go back to some oldie I listen to as a kid, just kind of refresh me
  452. 30:36at, well, that's what we're listening to then. But I stay away from stuff that is
  453. 30:42pre-entenacity and filthy and encouraging people to do something. I mean, I don't need it. I just
  454. 30:48don't, you know, I'm not interested. But I, because I love hearing about the praises of Jesus. I love,
  455. 30:54I love hearing. I mean, man, that music never, ever did for me what gospel music does for me,
  456. 31:02what hymns do for me. So just a little note of caution there. And of course, somebody will say,
  457. 31:11say, well, who is he to be giving advice to people who are
  458. 31:14attracting 30,000 people to a stadium?
  459. 31:17Yeah, well, you know, it might have been 30,000 listening to
  460. 31:21Jesus at one point. But when it came time for his crucifixion,
  461. 31:27it was a different kind of crowd, wasn't it? So the crowd is
  462. 31:31really not to be all in end all. Listen, this is E. W. Jackson.
  463. 31:35This is E. W. Jackson. I am in for Abraham, Hamilton the third
  464. 31:41here on the Hamilton Corner. Great to be with you.
  465. 31:44Stand by. I'll be taking your calls when we come back.
  466. 31:46The numbers 888-589-8840.
  467. 31:50Back in a moment.
  468. 31:51The Hamilton Corner podcast and one-minute commentaries are available at
  469. 32:18eFR.net. Back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  470. 32:23This is Bishop E.W. Jackson and Faye Bram.
  471. 32:33Hamilton the third. Great to be with you.
  472. 32:35The numbers 888-589-8840. That's 888-589.
  473. 32:418, 8, 4, 0, I'm thinking your calls.
  474. 32:44Anything you want to talk about is fine,
  475. 32:45it can be subjects I've raised,
  476. 32:47it can be something else.
  477. 32:48By the way, I'm watching my news feed,
  478. 32:50it's a program unfolds.
  479. 32:51And one headline that just came up is China
  480. 32:55is in a major missile building operation right now.
  481. 33:02Just as I was saying earlier,
  482. 33:04we have got to send a message to the world
  483. 33:07that while America is a nation that wants peace,
  484. 33:11we will not be trifled with and we will not be subjugated and we will not be second place in anything.
  485. 33:21And so I am pleased that we are in a ship building move right now and it's been needed for a long,
  486. 33:31long time and I'm glad President Trump is doing it and I'm glad that he is also testing our nuclear
  487. 33:38Arsenal, something that we've needed to do for a long, long time. I don't think we've
  488. 33:43seen that yet, but I think that is what he's planning to do to make sure that everything
  489. 33:46is up to snuff, because we have not test fired any missiles, test fired are Arsenal in a long,
  490. 33:58long time. And we, you know, mainly political correctness sake, I'm convinced more than anything
  491. 34:04else, certainly not for self-defense, certainly not for the safety and security of our nation.
  492. 34:10We've done it because, you know, well, we don't want to stir up the protesters and people who don't
  493. 34:16like us and people saying, you know, look at those Americans, they're messing up the environment
  494. 34:21and all this nonsense. And so, you know, we bow to that crowd and instead of doing what we know,
  495. 34:29we need to do to serve the American people.
  496. 34:32And the first obligation of government
  497. 34:35is to provide for the safety and security of our country
  498. 34:39and our people that we cannot do on our own
  499. 34:43as individuals that we need as our collective representative
  500. 34:49to do that for us.
  501. 34:51And that's what they ought to be doing first and foremost.
  502. 34:54And frankly, particularly when Democrats have been in charge,
  503. 34:58It's the last thing they do.
  504. 35:00It's the least important thing they do.
  505. 35:02They want to spend money on social welfare
  506. 35:04and they want to provide health care to illegal aliens
  507. 35:07and they want to do all this other stuff
  508. 35:08and provide operations to people who want to try
  509. 35:12to transition from one gender to another.
  510. 35:15But when it comes to our national defense
  511. 35:17and our sovereignty and the security of our borders,
  512. 35:19oh, that stuff's not important.
  513. 35:21That's folks, you want war?
  514. 35:24That's the way to get there.
  515. 35:27Convey to the world weakness, convey to the world fecklessness and fickleness and a lack of will and a lack of determination.
  516. 35:37And I guarantee you, you're on your way to conflict because that's exactly how you get there by convincing people.
  517. 35:44We can pretty much do anything we want to the United States of America and they won't do anything.
  518. 35:49And before you know it, you're backed into a corner where you've got to do something because your weakness invited that conflict.
  519. 35:55888-589-8840 is the number.
  520. 35:59All right, let's get to your calls.
  521. 36:02We've got Rob from Mississippi.
  522. 36:06Rob, welcome to the program.
  523. 36:09Brother Jackson, I have to talk to you in a few years.
  524. 36:13Merry Christmas, man.
  525. 36:15Well, same to you, Rob.
  526. 36:16So I got a few names for these ships
  527. 36:23that President Trump wants to build.
  528. 36:25Are you ready?
  529. 36:27Okay. Okay.
  530. 36:29Power one is. Yeah.
  531. 36:32So the first one is I don't think he would mind, but probably the USS Trump.
  532. 36:38The second one is in light of his previous celebrity show that he had USS
  533. 36:46caught on quote, you're fired.
  534. 36:48And then the third one, because I was born in Arizona and was right there,
  535. 36:54I would like to see USS Arizona the second.
  536. 36:57Well, Rob, listen, I think the first suggestion, thanks for the call, by the way, Rob, I appreciate
  537. 37:05that. I think the first suggestion he would love. I think the president knows more and
  538. 37:17influence and impact of that name. And he doesn't mind using it. As a matter of fact, since
  539. 37:22you said that, let me just get in here quickly that you know he's adding his name to the
  540. 37:26Kennedy Center is going to now be the Donald J. Trump. I don't know whether Kennedy's name
  541. 37:30will be first, maybe John of Kennedy and Donald J. Trump Center. And the left is just going
  542. 37:39crazy. There, we're not going to appear there and just that and the other. But you know what,
  543. 37:45I am glad that he's doing it because it says that that center belongs to the American people
  544. 37:51not to a bunch of leftists because for all practical purposes, they might have called it,
  545. 37:56might as well called it the sodomite center because the homosexual community had just taken it over.
  546. 38:04And that's the they're the ones who are most resentful of the president now bringing
  547. 38:08traditional American entertainment back to it. So good. So yeah, USS Trump, I'm in,
  548. 38:15and you know I mean Rob thanks let's go to Tim I believe in Arkansas Tim welcome
  549. 38:25yes sir pastor are you still a pastor I most certainly am I'll leave you alright
  550. 38:33anyway I was blessed to play music in the club for 25 years and God did it for me
  551. 38:39so I'd see what it was about and out lasted about 10 years in the big clubs
  552. 38:45and then I just couldn't handle it anymore. So I started doing karaoke shows and
  553. 38:50It worked out a whole lot better. I got real singers, but it was still
  554. 38:56Music that I just couldn't hardly bear to play faster and of course Nick and I say I can tell you all about her and her songs
  555. 39:02and her butt implants and her other implants and
  556. 39:07You know, it's just amazing what how they curse and that's the hardest part of it is the cursing and
  557. 39:13And they do it intentionally and it's an easy way to have control over the younger generation
  558. 39:20because it's the bread and circus pastor and the bread and circus is continuing.
  559. 39:25Yes, sir.
  560. 39:27Anything you do about it, I sure appreciate.
  561. 39:30Well Tim, thank you so much for the call.
  562. 39:33Look, in fact, she has defended the profanity.
  563. 39:37She says, in fact, in one of you, they say, you know, there's a lot of profanity in your
  564. 39:42music.
  565. 39:43Well, you know, you sometimes you need profanity to make the point and kind of last like, you
  566. 39:50know, that's just part of her music.
  567. 39:52So once again, you're right.
  568. 39:54What's the word of God says?
  569. 39:56Let no corrupt communication come forth from your mouth.
  570. 40:00That's the odd thing.
  571. 40:01That's what I find a little bit, shall we say, incongruous with all the faith talk.
  572. 40:08And I'm not in any way disputing anybody's authenticity in terms of their faith.
  573. 40:12I think this is just a matter of wisdom and judgment
  574. 40:15and putting somebody like that up on stage,
  575. 40:18which some people there, maybe who have experienced
  576. 40:20their music are thinking, whoa, do they know about the song
  577. 40:24in which she said, bleep, deep, bleep, deep, bleep, deep,
  578. 40:28bleep, and believe me folks, there are a lot of them.
  579. 40:30And I mean, really, really,
  580. 40:32and that's just talking about throwing out an occasional
  581. 40:35curse word for effect, you know, or to express anger
  582. 40:39or to express emphasis, still wrong.
  583. 40:42Don't get me wrong.
  584. 40:42That's still wrong.
  585. 40:44I'm talking about some pretty prcient, nasty,
  586. 40:49really disgusting stuff.
  587. 40:50So I don't think that that was a highlight of the fast.
  588. 40:55Let me put it that way.
  589. 40:57All right, let's go to Ed in Texas, Ed, welcome.
  590. 41:03Well, thank you, Bishop Jackson.
  591. 41:04How are you, sir?
  592. 41:05I am blessed.
  593. 41:06How are you, my friend?
  594. 41:08Likewise, I just wanted to come on and say,
  595. 41:10first of all, it is such a pleasure
  596. 41:12to hear you back on the air so many times I've been a longtime listener at AFR and of your
  597. 41:18show when you were here and I love tuning in and hearing when you come back. So thank you
  598. 41:23for all that you do. Thank you. I also appreciate your service. Obviously my father was a World
  599. 41:29War II veteran. My oldest son is now 15 years in the Navy still serving and so I appreciate
  600. 41:36that effort as well. Well, thank them for thank thank your son for his service and and
  601. 41:43Now you come, you come from a great family.
  602. 41:45That's, that's the wonderful thing about this country that we keep producing these heroes
  603. 41:49over and over and over again to meet the time of need for our country.
  604. 41:54So thank you so much.
  605. 41:57All right.
  606. 41:57Appreciate your call.
  607. 41:58It, God bless you.
  608. 42:01Let's go to Susan in Virginia.
  609. 42:02Susan, welcome.
  610. 42:08Susan, you there?
  611. 42:12Oh, Susan.
  612. 42:13Okay.
  613. 42:14Well, let's hold Susan.
  614. 42:15Maybe we can get back to Susan.
  615. 42:16the numbers 888-589-8840.
  616. 42:21And again, folks, I trust that all of you
  617. 42:26hear this in the spirit in which I'm saying it.
  618. 42:28I mean, I'm not nitpicking, but you know,
  619. 42:33my reading of the Old Covenant particularly
  620. 42:35where the children of Israel were often felt
  621. 42:38they would strengthen themselves by entering
  622. 42:40into an agreement with some idolatrous godless ally,
  623. 42:45ally, a king, uh, jahasha fed, for example, he went to, he went to, um, uh, as a riot,
  624. 42:54I believe the king was and he also tried to consort with a habit. And on both occasions,
  625. 43:00he was rebuked by God for doing so. The numbers eight, eight, eight, five, eight, nine, eight,
  626. 43:05eight, four, zero. Let's come back to Susan. Susan, do we have you now?
  627. 43:10Um, can you hear me?
  628. 43:12I can hear you just fine.
  629. 43:14Welcome to the program.
  630. 43:15Okay.
  631. 43:16Thank you.
  632. 43:17Yes, I agree with what you said about platforming somebody that I don't even know if she is supposed
  633. 43:27to be a Christian.
  634. 43:28I also didn't know anything about her but heard about it.
  635. 43:33And it's concerning to me because so many churches and the faith out there, it's like
  636. 43:41They don't read the Bible. They don't know what it says. It's just kind of like feel good churches.
  637. 43:47And we're losing our kids because of that. We want to be different than the world. That's the whole point.
  638. 43:54And Jesus said, you know, we're going to be hated. Well, why are we hated? Because we're supposed to be different.
  639. 44:02And Charlie Kirk always spoke with anybody,
  640. 44:08and he didn't care who they were, what their beliefs were,
  641. 44:12but that's different than using them as a platform.
  642. 44:15Like you said, Billy Graham didn't do that kind of thing
  643. 44:18unless he knew they were a believer.
  644. 44:20And it does concern me as well.
  645. 44:23I'm so glad you brought that up.
  646. 44:27Hey, man, Susan.
  647. 44:29Well, thank you.
  648. 44:30Thank you, dear, for the call.
  649. 44:31We appreciate that.
  650. 44:33Look, again, we're not trying to disparage in any way,
  651. 44:3720 point USA, but what I've said about,
  652. 44:42I've said this about a number of people.
  653. 44:44These are young people, and they have not lived a long time
  654. 44:48and had an opportunity to really learn wisdom
  655. 44:56through the word of God, of course, first and foremost,
  656. 44:58but through their experiences.
  657. 45:00And I just don't want to see them get burned by doing something that they consider to be helpful and then have it
  658. 45:07Turn back on them and and maybe undermine the great work that they're trying to do. So that's a spirit in which this is said
  659. 45:15the number again is
  660. 45:17888 589 888 4 0 we're almost out of time. I think
  661. 45:24We can get to Jerry in Louisiana Jerry
  662. 45:28Welcome. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm here. You're on. Okay. I'm really well
  663. 45:38conservative and I am also disturbed about President Trump making marijuana
  664. 45:44schedules for you know, thanks for coming to hurting politically. What are you
  665. 45:48telling? Well, you know, I'll be very honest, Jerry. I have not given that a
  666. 45:54great deal of thought except to say, and this is the general, thank you for the
  667. 45:59called to Jerry appreciate you.
  668. 46:02I don't look boy, there are a lot of factors involved
  669. 46:05in this and I say I haven't given it a lot of thought.
  670. 46:07I haven't had time to really sit down and think this through
  671. 46:09because marijuana today is different
  672. 46:11than it used to be 20, 30, 40 years ago.
  673. 46:14Because now it's laced with all kinds of stuff
  674. 46:16and it's enhanced and it can be hallucinogenic.
  675. 46:20I mean, apparently it is a very different deal
  676. 46:23than it once was, that's number one
  677. 46:26that I don't want to be taken into consideration.
  678. 46:29Thinking about it when it sort of became popular,
  679. 46:35you know, you don't wanna see a person's life
  680. 46:37completely ruined because they smoked a marijuana cigarette
  681. 46:41or as it was referred to once, at least it joined,
  682. 46:43I don't know what they call them today,
  683. 46:44but you don't wanna see a person's life destroyed
  684. 46:46because of that, because frankly folks,
  685. 46:48my life would have been destroyed if that was the case.
  686. 46:51But on the other hand, you don't wanna encourage people
  687. 46:55to use drugs at all, at all.
  688. 46:58and that's from marijuana to anything else you can think of.
  689. 47:02The Bible says, don't not be drunk with wine,
  690. 47:04which is excess, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  691. 47:06I believe that that can also be read,
  692. 47:09do not be drunk with wine, with marijuana, with cocaine,
  693. 47:12with crack, with with methamphetamine, with LSD,
  694. 47:17or anything else you can think of.
  695. 47:20Don't, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  696. 47:25That's the key to our nation's future, by the way.
  697. 47:27Well, listen, I gotta go.
  698. 47:28It's been great to be with you.
  699. 47:29I'll be back tomorrow night.
  700. 47:30In the meantime, stand up, step up, speak up, refuse to back up.
  701. 47:33We cannot be defeated if we will not quit because we are on God's side.
