  1. 0:00Darkness is not an affirmative force.
  2. 0:03It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light.
  3. 0:06This is the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  4. 0:11It should be uncomfortable for a believer to live as a hypocrite.
  5. 0:15Delivery people out of the bondage of mainstream media.
  6. 0:18And the philosophies of this world.
  7. 0:20God has called you and me to be his ambassador.
  8. 0:24Even in this dark moment.
  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:31Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:35Welcome to the Hamilton Corner.
  13. 0:37My name is Abraham Hamilton the third broadcasting live from Constitution City, Texas.
  14. 0:44I am in the home of Rick Green, founder and president of the Patriot Academy, also co-host
  15. 0:50of At the Core, heard right here on American Family Radio each day in the afternoon.
  16. 0:56I am so delighted to be here and the broadcast for you live here.
  17. 1:00We are here because I voter guide, which is a division of American Family Association
  18. 1:05action, a F.A. action is having their meeting.
  19. 1:10Excuse me here on campus.
  20. 1:12And so my wife is involved in some translation things there.
  21. 1:15She's in studio, so I'm looking over there.
  22. 1:17And so that's why we're here.
  23. 1:19Man, I am so excited.
  24. 1:21I have to tell you being here has been the only word I can use to describe it has been inspirational
  25. 1:28For me, we're planning to have our brother Rick green in a few moments starting in the second segment to have a conversation with him
  26. 1:34The things God is moving in him to do the vision he has for Patriot Academy
  27. 1:38The things that God has moved him to do in the run up to
  28. 1:43The 250th anniversary of the United States of America, which if you're unaware the Declaration of Independence is the birth date of
  29. 1:50of our nation I have said many times that the vision,
  30. 1:54the charter for the United States of America,
  31. 1:56is in fact the Declaration of Independence.
  32. 1:59Our Constitution is the implementation vehicle
  33. 2:02for the vision articulated in the Declaration.
  34. 2:04Great tragedy has befallen our nation
  35. 2:08because there have been efforts to navigate
  36. 2:09our Constitution estranged from our Declaration of Independence.
  37. 2:14So we're gonna get into all of that
  38. 2:16as we progress throughout the program today.
  39. 2:17At this very moment, many of you,
  40. 2:19if not most of you are making your transition from your part time jobs, where you generate
  41. 2:24an income to your full time jobs, where you cultivate an outcome.
  42. 2:28And as you do so, I want to remind you as we do on a daily basis to do so on a daily basis
  43. 2:33to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family.
  44. 2:40What goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White House.
  45. 2:45The purpose of that statement is not to minimize or to denigrate what transpires in the White
  46. 2:50House, but it's simply to accurately punctuate what goes on in your home.
  47. 2:55Simply put, you are directly responsible.
  48. 2:57I am directly responsible for the things that happen in my home, for the things that happen
  49. 3:01within my control.
  50. 3:02I am directly responsible for that.
  51. 3:05And all too often, many people have, so to speak, gaze into the sky.
  52. 3:10Sky, sky, sky.
  53. 3:12and what's going on in Washington, Washington, Washington.
  54. 3:15And we don't even know what's on our teenager's cell phones.
  55. 3:20That's a problem.
  56. 3:21That's a huge problem.
  57. 3:22But by God's grace, you and I will be a part of reversing that.
  58. 3:26And we take full advantage of the opportunities we get to
  59. 3:29in our homes, starting in our homes
  60. 3:31that we refuse to be manipulated by national headlines,
  61. 3:34international headlines, but we will live locally,
  62. 3:37executing our King's Commission starting first
  63. 3:39in our home and working outward from there.
  64. 3:43And this, just in case you thought,
  65. 3:44I forgot, I haven't forgotten.
  66. 3:46We still have my man, 100 grand, Mr. Bobby,
  67. 3:49ha-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra.
  68. 3:51Behind the board, but he's not with me here
  69. 3:54in Constitution City, unfortunately.
  70. 3:55But you gotta come, you gotta come, man.
  71. 3:58It's quite a sight to be here.
  72. 3:59And we have produced extraordinary, often imitated,
  73. 4:01never duplicated the real Jay Mac
  74. 4:03is making sure we can bring the video
  75. 4:08portion of the program to you as you can see. We're in Rick Green's
  76. 4:11tavern. We're in the tavern and he explains to his audience all the
  77. 4:16time that the tavern was a place where during our founding era,
  78. 4:19much business was transacted. Communication, articulation of the
  79. 4:23views for liberty and freedom. And so he'll be here to explain all
  80. 4:27of that. I am delighted and really it is a privilege and an
  81. 4:31honor for me to be broadcast from these grounds. I am confident
  82. 4:37that as we go forward, Constitution City, Texas,
  83. 4:40home of the Patriot Academy will be a critical outpost
  84. 4:47for the execution of God's will for our land going forward,
  85. 4:50and so I'm delighted to be here.
  86. 4:52As we do on a daily basis, we are going to now turn
  87. 4:55to the word of God.
  88. 4:55If you're new to the program, welcome.
  89. 4:57Especially to those in Des Moines, Iowa,
  90. 5:00the listening area, KJMC, 89.3 FM.
  91. 5:03That's the newest station added to the ARF R fold.
  92. 5:06we are glad to have you. But each day we start the program, we do so by turning to God's word,
  93. 5:11because we want to make sure that our hearts and minds are lined accordingly with God's word
  94. 5:17before we endeavor to navigate the issues of the day. All too often people attempt to address
  95. 5:22the issues of the day by setting God's word aside, which is frankly how we've gotten to where we
  96. 5:28are as a country. It's like we have become the person described in scripture, the man that's
  97. 5:35It's a hearer only of God's word, but not a doer.
  98. 5:39It's forgotten what sort of man he ought to be,
  99. 5:42but we're gonna turn to the Lord's word.
  100. 5:45And today we're gonna start in the Gospel recorded by Levi,
  101. 5:47also known as Matthew.
  102. 5:49Matthew chapter 16, verses 13 through 18.
  103. 5:52Matthew chapter 16, verses 13 through 18
  104. 5:55is where we're gonna begin the program today.
  105. 5:57And I'm gonna read the text and then kinda dig into it
  106. 5:59a little bit and this is what God's word says here.
  107. 6:02Now, when Jesus came into the district
  108. 6:04of Caesarea Philippi, he was asking his disciples,
  109. 6:08who do people say the Son of Man is?
  110. 6:12And they said, some say John the Baptist,
  111. 6:15and others Elijah, but still others Jeremiah,
  112. 6:20or one of the prophets.
  113. 6:22He, meaning Jesus said to them,
  114. 6:24but who do you say that I am?
  115. 6:27Simon Peter answered, you are the Christ,
  116. 6:31the Son of the living God.
  117. 6:33And Jesus said to him, blessed are you, Simon Barjona,
  118. 6:38because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you,
  119. 6:40but my Father who was in heaven,
  120. 6:43I also say to you that you are Peter,
  121. 6:46and upon this rock, I will build my church,
  122. 6:50and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
  123. 6:56This portion of scripture is profound
  124. 6:59for a number of reasons.
  125. 7:02Chief among them, Jesus communicates with clarity,
  126. 7:08no ambiguity whatsoever,
  127. 7:11concerning his articulation of the destiny
  128. 7:14for what he describes as his church.
  129. 7:19The gates of hell will not prevail.
  130. 7:22The gates of Hades will not prevail against his church.
  131. 7:26In the process of doing so,
  132. 7:28Jesus being a wordsmith refers to Simon,
  133. 7:31who's almost like a nickname referred to as Petros or Rock,
  134. 7:35and a bit of a wordplay when Jesus says,
  135. 7:38flesh and blood has not revealed this to you.
  136. 7:40But my Father in heaven has revealed this to you.
  137. 7:43Notice the term this has translated into English.
  138. 7:45You see the tones and tenses in the Greek.
  139. 7:47You see it very clearly.
  140. 7:49Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you.
  141. 7:53And upon this revelation, Peter, I will build my church.
  142. 7:57Jesus was not saying that Peter was the rock.
  143. 8:00all throughout scripture, Jesus is the chief cornerstone
  144. 8:04from the Hebrew scriptures, the messianic prophecies,
  145. 8:07of the stone of stumbling all throughout the New Testament,
  146. 8:10Jesus is consistently described as a chief cornerstone.
  147. 8:13The rock that the church of Jesus Christ is built upon
  148. 8:17is the revelation that he is in fact Messiah.
  149. 8:20He is in fact the promised Messiah.
  150. 8:22He is the fulfillment of Deuteronomy 18.
  151. 8:24He is Yeshua Hamashiyok.
  152. 8:27Peter is not the rock.
  153. 8:29He's using word play there.
  154. 8:31That describing Peter, Petros,
  155. 8:34but he said, but on this rock,
  156. 8:35the revelation that I am Messiah,
  157. 8:37I will build my church.
  158. 8:39Great misunderstanding has unfolded.
  159. 8:43Frankly, bad doctrine has unfolded
  160. 8:45because of a mischashrul of this one portion of scripture,
  161. 8:49but the rock is the fact that Yeshua is Messiah.
  162. 8:52There's no longer any need to look for Him for He has come.
  163. 8:56We are approaching the time and frankly,
  164. 9:00it really really bugs me that we kind of drive by,
  165. 9:02thanksgiving in terms of celebrations of holidays
  166. 9:05in our country, even because of the commerciality
  167. 9:07concerning Christmas and all of these things.
  168. 9:11And December 25th is not his birthday
  169. 9:14and all this kind of stuff.
  170. 9:16The fact is, Messiah was incarnated.
  171. 9:19He is the incarnate Messiah who lived a sinless life, died,
  172. 9:24not for his own sin, but for the sins of humanity.
  173. 9:29And the reality of the incarnation has his greatest efficacy in the fact of the resurrection.
  174. 9:35The incarnation is what leads to the crucifixion of the spotless lamb as foreshadowed by the Passover.
  175. 9:44And the spotless lamb that was crucified for the sins of the world,
  176. 9:50Intumned, resurrected on the third day as the Scriptures foretold that the entirety of the gospel punctuated,
  177. 9:59or should I said, fulfilled in the resurrection? Well, the incarnation is a vital component of that.
  178. 10:05And as we have the wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incarnation of Messiah on our national holiday schedule,
  179. 10:13following Thanksgiving, there should be a seamless flow from Thanksgiving into the
  180. 10:19worship-filled town where we regard the Holy One in full reverence and awe and
  181. 10:26appreciation for the incarnation. But the destiny that Jesus proclaimed here is
  182. 10:31very clear it is unambiguous that the gates of Hades will not prevail against
  183. 10:36the Lord's Church. I've talked before about the reality that gates are defensive
  184. 10:41structures they're meant to keep an advancing affirmative force out. It is Hades
  185. 10:46that is on the defense but what often we fail to recognize and y'all know I say
  186. 10:51it all the time darkness is not an affirmative force but it merely reoccupies
  187. 10:54the space that is vacated by the light but one of the unique things I won't say
  188. 10:58unique things one of the features of darkness however it has a good
  189. 11:01marketing team and the ubiquity of the darkness is often conflated with the
  190. 11:06potency of the darkness but Jesus said the gates of Hades will not prevail against
  191. 11:11his church. And so what I'm driving towards with this is a simple reminder of the fact that
  192. 11:15this is what Jesus said. This is not the opinion of some talking head on some television network.
  193. 11:20There's not somebody on talk radio given their opinion. This is what Jesus said about his church.
  194. 11:25And I've been saying lately consistently, we can if we will. If we would recognize that as Jesus
  195. 11:32commanded his offspring to execute his commission, he commanded us to do so upon his authority.
  196. 11:38His authority is the authorizing force for us executing his commission.
  197. 11:43And it is upon his authority that we advance in expanding the Lord's kingdom being established
  198. 11:49in the hearts and minds of people.
  199. 11:51And the Lord has blessed us, who are citizens of this great nation, to inherit a nation to
  200. 11:57where our founding charter recognizes that man's rights that are inalienable, that inalienability
  201. 12:03is directly due to them being given to us by the Creator.
  202. 12:07This is a pre-political observation.
  203. 12:11And with this pre-political observation,
  204. 12:13we can, if we will, if we would recognize
  205. 12:17who we are in Christ Jesus
  206. 12:20and respond to what He called us to,
  207. 12:22not responding on our own zeal and our own emotion
  208. 12:26and our own humanistic natural potency,
  209. 12:28but we respond in humble submission
  210. 12:30and obedience to what Jesus commanded us.
  211. 12:34You know, I said previously,
  212. 12:36of regressive force in our country,
  213. 12:38forces in our country, tries to wield terms
  214. 12:40like Christian nationalism to cause the Christian
  215. 12:44to be afraid in our country to live according
  216. 12:46to what we profess to be true.
  217. 12:48You know, and to try to destabilize and entire
  218. 12:51and swath the members of the Lord's bride in our nation.
  219. 12:53And then the Crescent News Network let the cat
  220. 12:55out of the bag that had an old girl on TV
  221. 12:57who finally defined what she meant by Christian nationalism.
  222. 13:02She said, oh, can you believe it?
  223. 13:04these people actually believe that rights come from God and not from government.
  224. 13:10Yeah, kind of like Thomas Jefferson wrote our declaration.
  225. 13:15Yeah, kind of like our nation was founded upon.
  226. 13:17And we've become so, we've drifted so far away from where we were formed to be, that
  227. 13:24you even have people like Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia that will say, oh, rights don't
  228. 13:29come from God, rights come from government.
  229. 13:32And this is a sitting US Senator that was a former candidate for the Vice Presidency.
  230. 13:39I highlight that to show how far a field we've fallen.
  231. 13:42And for those that would say, well, you know, Abraham, the Kingdom of God is establishing
  232. 13:49the hearts and minds of people who says that has any relationship to government.
  233. 13:57And I would simply say, very simply, the same God who is described in Acts 17, that he determined
  234. 14:05the boundaries of our habitation.
  235. 14:06He determined the times in which we would live.
  236. 14:08And he did so so that men should seek God.
  237. 14:11And he expects from us and our day in the 21st century in the nation where he's planted
  238. 14:15us to be and do no less than the Apostle Paul did in his day.
  239. 14:18That it was the Apostle Paul's knowledge of the civic appellate process as a Roman citizen
  240. 14:24that led to the gospel invading the upper echelons of Roman society.
  241. 14:29It is how we got the concluding salutation of Paul C.
  242. 14:33Pissle to the Philippians when he says,
  243. 14:35the saints of the Lord Jesus Christ greet you, including those in Caesar's household brothers
  244. 14:41and sisters, we can if we will.
  245. 14:44God has ordained you and I for this moment.
  246. 14:48With all of the craziness swirling around us, let's not miss our moment.
  247. 14:52Jesus said the gates of Hades won't prevail against his church.
  248. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker,
  249. 15:03not being alert, making unwise decisions,
  250. 15:06moving without a sense of urgency,
  251. 15:08any and all of these actions in wartime
  252. 15:11can literally cause someone to get killed.
  253. 15:14Psalm 91 is a unique weapon in scripture
  254. 15:17that addresses many of the perils in life.
  255. 15:19Using this weapon daily helps us to be prepared
  256. 15:22from many of the attacks.
  257. 15:24The devil may utilize consistently against us.
  258. 15:27Our encouragement to you is to pray Psalm 91 every single day
  259. 15:33over yourself and over your family.
  260. 15:35Because remember, in the dangerous crazy world
  261. 15:37we live in, no one can protect you.
  262. 15:39Like the Lord, King Lord,
  263. 15:40anointed so fresh with a spirit of grace and mercy
  264. 15:43that would empower us to be warrior minded believers
  265. 15:47who are absolutely every day, praying Psalm 91
  266. 15:50as well as putting other weapons to work
  267. 15:52Fruitfully and wisely in Jesus name we do pray. Amen.
  268. 16:04Shining light into the darkness. This is the Hamilton corner on American family radio.
  269. 16:10Welcome back to the Hamilton corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I'm delighted as I've already mentioned I am in the honorable Rick Green's Tavern
  270. 16:18the former Texas state legislative
  271. 16:21legislator
  272. 16:22founder and president of Patriot Academy also one half of the at the core hosting dynamic duo
  273. 16:28I'm speaking of none other than my brother in Christ man a man who I respect and revere
  274. 16:34Also who we share the same bar my first bar admission was in Texas by the way. Yeah
  275. 16:38Is none of them than Rick Green we are at in his studio on his campus that the Lord has entrusted his stewardship
  276. 16:46It is a pleasure and an honor and I've already said it has been such an inspiration to me just to be here
  277. 16:59we do here and always glad to be on the program with you.
  278. 17:02Oh man.
  279. 17:03Just occurred to me.
  280. 17:03You're the third and I'm a second.
  281. 17:05So you know, because I'm junior.
  282. 17:07Yeah.
  283. 17:07And my son is the third.
  284. 17:08So yeah, I was just talking about that.
  285. 17:10So yeah, my dad likes to think that means he gets to be called ACE.
  286. 17:15And that's a new one for me.
  287. 17:17Now I want to start with this because I introduced today's show
  288. 17:21broadcasting live from Constitution City, Texas.
  289. 17:25What is Constitution City, Texas?
  290. 17:27what can the audience here learn about that phenomenon?
  291. 17:30Yeah, we decided that we wanted that be an actual municipality.
  292. 17:34We're in an unincorporated area of the county.
  293. 17:36So you can form a new municipality if you have enough people
  294. 17:39in the geography and everything, and you do everything, right?
  295. 17:42And we just thought it'd be cool.
  296. 17:43First of all, just from a marketing perspective,
  297. 17:45it sounds cool, right?
  298. 17:46It does.
  299. 17:46It's the constitution in, the constitution city, Texas.
  300. 17:48But also, we've got students that come here year round,
  301. 17:51and it gives them a chance to participate in city government,
  302. 17:53to actually do real government, not just do the legislative
  303. 17:57you know, simulations that we do, but actually be a part of serving on the council or in some way
  304. 18:03just, you know, monitoring or at least figuring out here's how city government works, here's how
  305. 18:07you interact with the county and the state, and it's just a really good practical applied civics
  306. 18:12lesson for the people that come here and our students here. But I just love the idea that once we get
  307. 18:16independence all built, you go to study the Constitution and independence all in Constitution City, Texas.
  308. 18:21Oh, that's fantastic. Well, since you mentioned that, well, let's talk about that,
  309. 18:25of the vision that you have to really construct,
  310. 18:29reconstruct, I should say, independence hall right here
  311. 18:32in Constitution City, Texas,
  312. 18:33as part of the vision you have for this place.
  313. 18:35Yeah, you know, the main goal here,
  314. 18:37we can do it in metal buildings, whatever, you know,
  315. 18:39is just to bring people here and study
  316. 18:41and actually get fired up and get equipped
  317. 18:44and then go back home and be good citizens,
  318. 18:46just be good salt and light wherever they live.
  319. 18:49So we don't have to have something like independence hall,
  320. 18:52but that's my favorite room in all of history.
  321. 18:53I mean, I love Independence Hall and being able to step back in time.
  322. 18:57And I know from experience of taking people there and teaching the
  323. 19:00Constitution in that room, you just learn more.
  324. 19:02Whenever you feel like you're a reliving history, you pay attention more.
  325. 19:07You know, there's something about it.
  326. 19:09And so it's going to be the crown jewel of the campus.
  327. 19:12And the reason is to give people that chance to step back in time, do some
  328. 19:16real study and go home inspired to be like the fountain father.
  329. 19:20It's fantastic.
  330. 19:20While we were here, and I mentioned earlier that the iVotogai team
  331. 19:23having this training session right here. My wife and I were just wandering around the committee room.
  332. 19:29Yes. Yes. And we stumbled on a class that was actually taking place at the mall. I'm like,
  333. 19:34hey, we need to be quiet because they're actually in class. No, you should have gone in and taken
  334. 19:37over and done some teaching. You would have been great, man. No, somebody else is teaching. And
  335. 19:41this dude's like, you're okay. You're okay. But it's phenomenal what's happening here. Among the
  336. 19:45things that have been so inspirational to me are simply those young people that we were able to see
  337. 19:50learning the proper understanding of the Founders Constitution, the proper interaction
  338. 19:54between the Declaration of Independence and the Founders Constitution. I've said
  339. 19:57repeatedly on this program that the vision and mission statement for the nation is
  340. 20:01the Declaration, that the Constitution is the implementation mechanism, that there's
  341. 20:04no way we can arrive at proper constitutional interpretation if it's severed from the
  342. 20:09Declaration of Independence. And here we are now literally a stone's throw just a year
  343. 20:13away from the 250th anniversary of that Declaration of Independence. What a neat
  344. 20:17It's time to be alive, man.
  345. 20:18I mean, we get to be kind of the rebirth of that freedom,
  346. 20:21right, that rekindling on the 250th of all of those ideas,
  347. 20:25everything that you just said.
  348. 20:27I know I shouldn't ask you this on the air,
  349. 20:28but you know, actually, you think I'd get in much trouble
  350. 20:31with Debbie and I voter if we pulled you out tomorrow
  351. 20:33for an hour and gave you some time with the students,
  352. 20:35because I'd love for them to hear from you.
  353. 20:36No, I don't think so.
  354. 20:37We have any problem.
  355. 20:38We have one thing to do at 11 in the morning,
  356. 20:40but other than doing a devotion to the morning.
  357. 20:42Then at 11 I have one deal, but I have a free reign.
  358. 20:44Let's talk for you right here,
  359. 20:45I just think they're showing the evening again.
  360. 20:47Okay, good, good, good, good, because you know, they get to hear from a lot of different people
  361. 20:51who had Frank Gaffney here a few weeks ago.
  362. 20:53He's the Center for Security Policy Founder and now he's doing some new stuff.
  363. 20:57But in fact, we're sitting there talking, I got Frank in front of the kids and I'm asking
  364. 21:00him about all kinds of stuff, you know, China and the whole meeting with between Trump and
  365. 21:05Xi Jinping.
  366. 21:06And he was saying, you know, this could be Reykjavik, this could be where Reagan and Gorbachev,
  367. 21:09you know, and Reagan had to say no in order to get to the point.
  368. 21:12And he's telling me stories and all of a sudden I realized
  369. 21:15as the way that he was telling the story,
  370. 21:16I went, wait, Frank, were you at Reykjavik?
  371. 21:19And he's like, oh yeah, I was part of that.
  372. 21:21I was a sister, you know, I was like,
  373. 21:22we're gonna hear from a guy that was in the room.
  374. 21:25Yeah.
  375. 21:26With Reykjavik and Gorichob.
  376. 21:27So anyway, the kids got to hear from Frank
  377. 21:29and Daniel Horwitz and all these other people.
  378. 21:31So I would be thrilled if you'd be willing
  379. 21:33to talk home for a bit.
  380. 21:34I'd be honored to do so.
  381. 21:35I'd be honored to do so.
  382. 21:36Now I tossed the question your way
  383. 21:38because I listened as you addressed
  384. 21:39that I have a older guy team this morning
  385. 21:41and you made a point that is worth echoing, emphasizing, underscoring and highlighting that
  386. 21:46250 years usually are a telling time in any nation's history.
  387. 21:52What's the significance of 250 years of story?
  388. 21:54And unfortunately, it's usually when you fall apart, it's just kind of that cycle of nations
  389. 21:59that kind of lines up with the laws of nature and nature as God.
  390. 22:01It's the nature of man to get lazy when you have freedom and you've had it good and you've
  391. 22:05had success.
  392. 22:06And so it's that old meme of tough times make tough tough times make good tough men, tough
  393. 22:10men make good times, good times make soft men, and then soft men lead you back into tough
  394. 22:14time. So usually at about 250 great civilizations fall apart. And of course we saw that in the
  395. 22:20last 20 years, America was headed just like Robert Bork said 40 years ago, slouching towards
  396. 22:26Gamora, right? We were starting to crumble because we gave up the principles that made
  397. 22:30us strong in the first place. But we've got a real chance here at a resurgence because there's
  398. 22:36an interest like never before and because our declaration does give us the philosophy,
  399. 22:42very easy to understand if we'll teach it and the Constitution gives us the tools to be
  400. 22:47able to revive the Republic.
  401. 22:49And I don't know yet.
  402. 22:50I'm trying not to be overly optimistic.
  403. 22:51You know, if I'm a, you know, glasses half full guy and sometimes I'm too optimistic too
  404. 22:55quickly.
  405. 22:56So I'm trying to be measured in my analysis, but it feels like right now to me we're in a
  406. 23:02a revival and enough people are waking up that we have a really good chance instead of
  407. 23:07falling apart at 250 to actually have a revitalization.
  408. 23:10And if the Lord terries have another 250 years now, hope it comes back next week messes up
  409. 23:14all my plans, but no man knows today, right?
  410. 23:16So we have to do our duty and if when he comes back be found working and try not staring
  411. 23:22at the sky clouds and hoping he goes back.
  412. 23:24So I want to do everything I can to if it's 250 if he's not, you know, maybe a thousand
  413. 23:30for what comes back.
  414. 23:31I want to make sure I hand my kids and my grandkids a nation
  415. 23:33that could last another 250 years.
  416. 23:36What are some of those things you mentioned
  417. 23:37that may be indicative of a form of revival
  418. 23:42that I'll just tell you plainly,
  419. 23:44if you don't mind, just get it out of the way.
  420. 23:46What are some of the things that you recognize
  421. 23:48as principals in the declaration that can aid us
  422. 23:50charting our course appropriately to not fall prey
  423. 23:53to what is befall in almost every other nation
  424. 23:55that comes into you?
  425. 23:56That's a great way to do it too,
  426. 23:57is like the declaration we can say, okay,
  427. 24:00we owe these truths, well, we know in Second Thessalonians
  428. 24:03that if you aren't a lover of truth, if you hate truth,
  429. 24:06then God sends the delusion,
  430. 24:08and then you end up making a lot of really stupid decisions.
  431. 24:11Seems like America's made a lot of stupid decisions lately,
  432. 24:13right?
  433. 24:14And we definitely see a lot of delusion in the country, right?
  434. 24:17So just that part of the deck arts,
  435. 24:19just coming back to say, we love, we want truth.
  436. 24:22We're gonna have civil discourse to find that truth,
  437. 24:24and then we're gonna hold on to it,
  438. 24:25we're gonna stand for it, we're gonna fight for it,
  439. 24:26that alone is a great sign of revival.
  440. 24:30And I think there is a big chunk of that happening
  441. 24:32in the country right now.
  442. 24:32I think there's a lot of people that have become,
  443. 24:35and even this new generation,
  444. 24:37they're kind of sensitive to being gas-lighted.
  445. 24:40They're sensitive to deception.
  446. 24:43They want you to be blunt with them
  447. 24:44and be honest with them.
  448. 24:46And so that to me is a sign of revival.
  449. 24:48I think loving liberty and being willing to work hard for it.
  450. 24:52Like we were joking about this morning,
  451. 24:54it's not a redistribution or a guarantee of happiness
  452. 24:56It's a pursuit of happiness.
  453. 24:58I think those are signs that we wanna be the two servants
  454. 25:01that really worked hard.
  455. 25:02They weren't the wicked and slothful servant
  456. 25:04that just took it for granted or was lazy,
  457. 25:06but they were willing to go out there and risk.
  458. 25:08And so all of those things are good signs.
  459. 25:10But I think I will say there's a danger here
  460. 25:12in that we do another Jesus revolution kind of revival
  461. 25:15where we don't do discipleship.
  462. 25:17You know, get a lot of people walking the aisle,
  463. 25:19walking the beach and making the decision,
  464. 25:22but then we don't disciple all nations
  465. 25:25and teach them to obey everything that he commanded.
  466. 25:27So I'm hearing a lot of people with the same warning right now,
  467. 25:30which tells me that's a good healthy sign
  468. 25:33that we're going into this with eyes wide open
  469. 25:34and saying, you know, there's a lot of hard work
  470. 25:36that's required in a revival if you want it
  471. 25:38to be a reformation and see our true great awakening
  472. 25:41where at the end of the day people act different
  473. 25:43and you see a difference in the culture.
  474. 25:45Yeah, one time I did a program on one of the concerns
  475. 25:50when you have zealous evangelism without disciple making
  476. 25:55because following the second grade awakening,
  477. 25:58it was the actual genesis of many of the, frankly, cults
  478. 26:01that we have now, it followed the second grade awakening.
  479. 26:04We had fervent zealous evangelism,
  480. 26:06but it was not accompanied by discipleship.
  481. 26:09And you saw all kinds of things
  482. 26:11starting to follow from that.
  483. 26:12And the simple reality is,
  484. 26:15the whole adage would have you wrought old Benjamin
  485. 26:17from one of your favorite rooms,
  486. 26:18your favorite room in all of history,
  487. 26:20a republic if you can keep it,
  488. 26:22The founders understood that the structure was put in place,
  489. 26:26put in place, but there had to be another vehicle
  490. 26:29to cultivate the type of populace to sustain that.
  491. 26:32And that mechanism, frankly, is disciple making.
  492. 26:35As John Adams put it, our governmental structure
  493. 26:38is only adequate for one kind of people.
  494. 26:40But the kind of people that are needed for our government
  495. 26:42structure can't be produced by our government.
  496. 26:44That's right.
  497. 26:44Ooh, that's good, man. Yes.
  498. 26:46So you don't get moral and religious people
  499. 26:48from government schools that are void of morals
  500. 26:50and religion.
  501. 26:52you do not, and in fact, to the delusion you refer to,
  502. 26:55we have now a juriscedent now on the highest court
  503. 26:59in our land who publicly stated she was conveniently ignorant
  504. 27:03of what a woman was.
  505. 27:04How do you have that and have something that you sustained
  506. 27:07that is based and that's enduring upon truth?
  507. 27:10So I was stirred by what you shared this morning.
  508. 27:14And again, you hit a string on my heart
  509. 27:17when you talked about the decorations relationship
  510. 27:20to the Constitution, approaching the 250th anniversary
  511. 27:23of that hallowed document.
  512. 27:26How do you think our nation should approach that?
  513. 27:29Man, more than just celebrations,
  514. 27:31but we wanna have a lot of celebrations.
  515. 27:33Our goal is 5,000 celebrations on July 4th next year.
  516. 27:35That's one fourth of the communities in America
  517. 27:38that are 500 or more people.
  518. 27:40But doing that celebration with an understanding
  519. 27:42of what we're celebrating.
  520. 27:43Even on that day, which I'm hoping we do a lot more work
  521. 27:46between now and then, but even on that day,
  522. 27:48reading through the declaration.
  523. 27:50actually having a blown up copy of the decoration and having everybody come up and sign and pledge
  524. 27:54their lives fortunes in a sacred honor so that they spend the whole year of the 250th between the
  525. 27:58you know july 4th 2026 and july 4th 2027 actually live in this thing out and studying these things
  526. 28:04so i think the key is is is civic literacy you know most all of our problems are biblical and civic
  527. 28:09ignorance and they can be solved with biblical or civic literacy but we have to we have to teach
  528. 28:14these things and i think we have a real good a very good chance at that because so many people
  529. 28:18talking about it, we just have to keep hammering at it and give people easy tools to dive in.
  530. 28:23The technology is going to help with that. The White House is even helping with a lot of this,
  531. 28:27pushing out a lot of these education programs with PragerU and with Wall Builders and all these
  532. 28:33different organizations. So the opportunities there, I think the right energy is there to do it.
  533. 28:38I guess you could say it this way, the bricks are there for us to rebuild Liberty with and the mortar
  534. 28:42and the right mindset is there as well. We just got to see if enough people are going to be willing
  535. 28:46to do the hard work because freedom's not easy. It takes hard work. And I said we can if we will.
  536. 28:52The will part has been much of the question and you mentioned biblical and civic ignorance
  537. 28:58being increasingly problematic. One of the unfortunate realities that biblical and civic
  538. 29:03ignorance tends to move faster than biblical and civic literacy. Yeah, it's harder to. And frankly,
  539. 29:09it is harder. But I was talking earlier from Matthew 16, the authority and the potency
  540. 29:17of the move of God's people, which Jesus said,
  541. 29:20the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it,
  542. 29:23is that we're not operating merely in humanistic,
  543. 29:27in humanistic potency.
  544. 29:29That's right.
  545. 29:30But that we have access to something even divine,
  546. 29:31and you asked the question this morning
  547. 29:33about evidence of America's founders being Christian
  548. 29:37and you shared from memory, much of Benjamin Franklin's speech
  549. 29:43that day, and the context of it is so profound
  550. 29:46that I'd love you to share.
  551. 29:47We have a couple minutes where we had to break that he as the elder,
  552. 29:5281 year old Ben Franklin,
  553. 29:54who had already been through Independence Hall during the Revolutionary
  554. 29:57Area and the Revolutionary War.
  555. 29:58But now as the Constitution of being drafted,
  556. 30:00he drew a line of comparison that highlighted a bit of negligence that
  557. 30:05had transpired just in that short time between 1776 and 1787.
  558. 30:08Would you share a little bit about that?
  559. 30:09Yeah. And I would say everybody out there listening, if you're over 60,
  560. 30:13you need to be a Ben Franklin to some young patriots in your life.
  561. 30:16You need to be willing to remind them of what God has done.
  562. 30:18Almost a Psalm 78 thing where we're saying,
  563. 30:21hey everybody, we need to be reminding the kids
  564. 30:23and teaching kids what God did in our nation.
  565. 30:25Even for generations yet to be born.
  566. 30:27Yes.
  567. 30:28That's a Psalm 78 talks about it.
  568. 30:29Yes, exactly.
  569. 30:30And for Franklin, it was like you said,
  570. 30:31it's only 11 years.
  571. 30:32I mean, we're talking a decade here.
  572. 30:33And they had already forgotten what God had done for them.
  573. 30:36And so he gives us great, elegant speech, quotes 11,
  574. 30:38Bible verses and wakes everybody up,
  575. 30:40basically shakes them out of their slumburns,
  576. 30:42says we can't do this without God.
  577. 30:43And Washington said what was amazing about that moment
  578. 30:45was they broke, they went to church, they prayed together,
  579. 30:48and it broke the conflict that was keeping them
  580. 30:51from being able to reach an agreement
  581. 30:53and actually come to terms.
  582. 30:54So even to your point about the supernatural side of this
  583. 30:57and God intervening in this, I believe he will do that.
  584. 30:59If we'll take these steps, he'll do that.
  585. 31:01But we've got to be willing to step out right now.
  586. 31:04We've got to be willing to fill this vacuum.
  587. 31:06Where so many people in the church receded from the arena.
  588. 31:10And if we do that, I think we can be the Franklin's,
  589. 31:12you know, be willing to say,
  590. 31:14Hey, don't forget what God did in our nation.
  591. 31:16We cannot do that.
  592. 31:16In fact, one of his lines was,
  593. 31:18have we now forgotten this powerful friend?
  594. 31:20Do we imagine we can succeed without his assistance?
  595. 31:24I know we can't succeed without his assistance at all.
  596. 31:27And I believe he's willing,
  597. 31:29his laws of nature and nature is God's say,
  598. 31:31if we call on him, if we follow his laws,
  599. 31:33the blessings will be on the other side of that.
  600. 31:34So that's our opportunity here at the 250th.
  601. 31:37Yeah, and you pointed out that how Ben Franklin said
  602. 31:39in that speech, every day in this room,
  603. 31:42while the bullets are flying.
  604. 31:43Yeah.
  605. 31:44in this room, we cried out to the Lord and bring it all those proclamations they did in those
  606. 31:49early Continental Congresses, the governors, even the presidents in the first 50 years of
  607. 31:55our country, I mean they were constantly saying get on your face man, prayer, fasting humiliation
  608. 32:00is what they call the nation too. These were public acts. These were from official government
  609. 32:06positions saying to the people we need to be that moral and religious people. Yeah.
  610. 32:10And then during the constitutional convention at the early parts of it. He said we have not even once
  611. 32:16Sawed out this divine friend that helped us previously with all of the acts of providence the the smog on one day
  612. 32:22The ice melting on another day the lack of vision for the for the red coat another another day
  613. 32:26That evidence is of divine providence enabling the the revolutionary founders to be victorious then how then?
  614. 32:34Can it if a sparrow can't fall to ground without his awareness? How can an empire arise?
  615. 32:38and it led to a prayer meeting right there in the end of it's hall that changed the course
  616. 32:43of our nation's destiny and from that came our Constitution.
  617. 32:46You'll listen to the Hamlet's in the corner.
  618. 32:48My guest is Rick Green, more from Constitution City, Texas on the other side of this break.
  619. 33:01Coming up this weekend on the stand radio, Alex McFarland and Bert Harper join us to talk
  620. 33:05about Bible prophecy and the return of Christ.
  621. 33:08It's hard for me to believe anybody with look at scripture, it's like God's through with
  622. 33:13a nation of Israel.
  623. 33:14It seems to be we're reaching that point in history as the Bible says that the times of
  624. 33:19the Gentiles have been fulfilled.
  625. 33:22Not completely, but we're getting there.
  626. 33:24The Stand Radio, Saturday's at 4 in Sundays at 8 PM Central on AFR.
  627. 33:30Jerusalem, O Jerusalem, how many times I would have taken you under my wings.
  628. 33:35They had everything that was necessary for them to know Jesus and follow Him and they
  629. 33:42went their way.
  630. 33:43I think for nations, for individuals, there is a day that you have to make the decision
  631. 33:49to respond to the Lord, and it might be that the door of opportunity after that shines.
  632. 33:55Exploring the word weekdays 3PM Central on AFR.
  633. 34:00What if health care could be more than bills and bureaucracy?
  634. 34:04What if it could reflect faith, foster community, and offer spiritual support?
  635. 34:09At Redeem Health Share Ministry, the mission goes beyond medical bills.
  636. 34:14It's about honoring Christ and embracing health care that aligns with Christian values.
  637. 34:19Redeem members share medical expenses through monthly contributions, supporting one another
  638. 34:24in a Christ-centered community.
  639. 34:26It's not insurance, it's believers helping believers through financial support and prayer.
  640. 34:32And Redeem Health Share provides freedom for members to select the doctors, hospitals, and
  641. 34:37treatments that are right for them. No networks, no restrictions, just faith-driven care.
  642. 34:43From everyday checkups to unexpected medical emergencies, Redeem offers flexible programs
  643. 34:49and encouragement rooted in scripture because your health care should reflect your faith,
  644. 34:55not compromise it.

  646. 35:05Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Comment Terrets are available at AFR.net.
  647. 35:10to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  648. 35:15Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the third here
  649. 35:18with the founder, president, visionary for Patriot Academy, none other than Rick Green
  650. 35:23also. One half of the dynamic duo that hosts at the core on American Family Radio.
  651. 35:28One of the things that you offer through the Patriot Academy is a constitutional
  652. 35:32defense training course.
  653. 35:35Would you just speak to that a little bit to let people know what's available here and
  654. 35:38then why do you find that to be something that's intrinsic to what you offer through
  655. 35:42Patriot Academy?
  656. 35:43Yeah, you know, I became really passionate about this when I got a whole
  657. 35:46Proverbs 27-12, a wise person for seized danger and takes precaution of simpleton or a fool,
  658. 35:51walks blindly on and suffers the consequences and then put that in the context of our culture
  659. 35:55today where, you know, there's six million violent crimes a year in America and it's getting
  660. 35:59worse in a lot of our blue cities and if you're not prepared to defend yourself, then your family
  661. 36:03will be a victim and I just, I didn't want my family to be a victim and, and if I was the
  662. 36:07I was a guy in the legislature when I was in Texas legislature.
  663. 36:09I mean, people would joke about that and I passed all the gun legislation, I passed all the
  664. 36:13god legislature.
  665. 36:14That was just my stick.
  666. 36:16But I didn't carry my weapon because I wasn't trained.
  667. 36:18And so even the guy saying I'm pro second amendment, I have my bumper stickers and everything,
  668. 36:22I wouldn't have been ready.
  669. 36:23And my son, Trey was only 16 and when he turned 16, somebody invited us to this training.
  670. 36:29And I was like, well, I grew up on the ranch.
  671. 36:30I don't need any of that.
  672. 36:32But I'll go for him.
  673. 36:33Bro, three hours into that thing.
  674. 36:35eyes were wide open and I realized I didn't know what I didn't know and after four days
  675. 36:39of training I felt more competent and confident than ever in my life. It really changed the
  676. 36:44way I look, walked, sat and all of it and I just became passionate. So now we've trained
  677. 36:5110,000 people through that course, our version of that course. And it's really cool because
  678. 36:57we combine the Constitution with the physical training. So we want them to understand what
  679. 37:00the Second Amendment is really all about, why this is what the Founders called the first
  680. 37:04law of nature that God designed us to defend and that you could sign away your right to
  681. 37:09defend but in the moment when your kids being threatened you're going to step up and defend
  682. 37:13your kid.
  683. 37:14And so we combine that and so you get the physical training but then you also learn the history
  684. 37:19of the Second Amendment why this is important.
  685. 37:21And also being intellectually ready, thinking through the moral and ethical questions before
  686. 37:28you're in the moment because if you're struggling with that in the moment, let's say you got
  687. 37:31trained with a weapon or somebody just goes out and buys a weapon and somebody breaks
  688. 37:35in their home and then all of a sudden they never really thought about it. Am I willing
  689. 37:38to press the trigger and end a life in order to protect the lives that God's put in my responsibility?
  690. 37:43If you're struggling with that question in the moment, you're going to end up having that
  691. 37:46weapon taken away from you and used on you. It's not the time to be thinking about it. So we spend
  692. 37:49a lot of time going through those mental, you know, the moral and ethical questions, the mental
  693. 37:55struggle that a lot of people have in that. And then even talking about the criminal and
  694. 37:58on civil liability. If you press the trigger, you could very likely be sued by the family
  695. 38:02of that person. You could very likely have criminal charges against you. If it depend on
  696. 38:06the jurisdiction that you're in and what might happen there. So it's a thorough training so
  697. 38:11that by the time you come out of those four days, you're no longer questioning those things
  698. 38:15and you're very well trained. You're better trained than most law enforcement actually
  699. 38:19by the time you finish our four day course. I've had SWAT officers actually tell me it's
  700. 38:23the best training they ever had. And so we've honestly taken a lot of flack over it.
  701. 38:27You know, I've lost supporters and donors and people saying, man, we just don't like
  702. 38:31the gun stuff or we don't think Christians should do that sort of thing.
  703. 38:34So we're actually coming out with a book called the Biblical Right of Arm Self Defense and really
  704. 38:37lay in the foundation for that.
  705. 38:40But I just haven't been willing to give it up because I've watched these mass murder events
  706. 38:43and, you know, people walk around, they're able to walk crazy, people are able to walk
  707. 38:47around killing people for five, six, ten minutes before the police are able to get there because
  708. 38:51you can't have police everywhere.
  709. 38:52It's not their fault.
  710. 38:53It's just the nature of this thing.
  711. 38:56You need sheepdogs, you need trained good people.
  712. 38:59It's not enough to have a good guy with a gun, you gotta have a trained good guy with a gun.
  713. 39:02Or as I like to say, sheepdogs with ponytails, I trained good gal with a gun.
  714. 39:08And we've seen that, you know, even when you've already happened here in Texas, that awful
  715. 39:13event where the guy, you know, killed a lot of kids because the officers waited 77 minutes
  716. 39:19to go in, horrible situation.
  717. 39:21The next day in West Virginia, guy goes into a party, he's going to shoot up a bunch of,
  718. 39:25kill a bunch of people, sheepdog with a ponytail takes her weapon out of her
  719. 39:28purse and she puts down the threat before he's able to kill any innocent people.
  720. 39:33I would much rather have that scenario than a scenario where a guy walks around
  721. 39:37Walmart killing people for 10 minutes before the police can get in there.
  722. 39:40So I don't mean to be more bitter or anything like that but it's true in our
  723. 39:43churches too, you know we've seen these horrible examples. Yeah and and that one
  724. 39:47here in Texas, white settlement, a perfect example if you watch that video,
  725. 39:50there's a good guy without a gun. Guy's literally serving communion. Yeah, he's
  726. 39:54killed good guy with a gun but not trained. He's trying to get his gun out fumbling around.
  727. 39:58He's killed, trained good guy with a gun from across the room, a guy named Jack Wilson, 72
  728. 40:03years old, presents his weapon and stops the threat in about 1.8 seconds. It was exactly
  729. 40:10what we trained people to do. It's amazing. And I was going to mention that we're now firmly
  730. 40:15fixed in the era where the same murderous threats
  731. 40:21are finding churches.
  732. 40:22Oh yeah.
  733. 40:23And people are being made victims
  734. 40:27in the place that should be the House of Prayer.
  735. 40:29Amen.
  736. 40:30It's really jolting to consider that.
  737. 40:34How can people find Patriot Academy?
  738. 40:35How can people support the work that you're doing here?
  739. 40:38You have all kinds of plans and things you're already doing,
  740. 40:40the things you want to do to expand.
  741. 40:41How can people support that?
  742. 40:42Yeah, we're teaching young people,
  743. 40:44That's our flagship. That's really what we started 25 years ago was teaching young people,
  744. 40:48training them to be good citizens. But now we're teaching people of all ages. We got 30,000
  745. 40:51constitution coaches across the country using our constitution classes to do that locally.
  746. 40:56We're doing a course on campus, the full one year institute and then one week programs that
  747. 41:00people want to just come for a week and get trained. So there's lots and lots of ways for
  748. 41:03people to train. If you want to donate to the cause, sponsor a student maybe, whatever you
  749. 41:07want to do, patreonacademy.com. If you want to take one of our classes, we give our constitution
  750. 41:10Class is way for free.
  751. 41:12Even our hang on defense training and that sort of thing
  752. 41:14is super cheap compared to what it would cost anywhere else.
  753. 41:18We do that because it gets subsidized by donors
  754. 41:20because we just want to train as many people
  755. 41:21as we possibly can.
  756. 41:22But all of it, patreon.com.
  757. 41:25Guys, I can't emphasize that enough
  758. 41:27for you guys to support this work.
  759. 41:31It's one thing to hear about and talk about it.
  760. 41:32This is my first time here.
  761. 41:34It's another thing to put my feet on the ground here
  762. 41:37and walk around and drive around
  763. 41:38and to see everything that's happening.
  764. 41:40the cottages that are available for people
  765. 41:42for the one year program.
  766. 41:44Guys, this is good soil.
  767. 41:45This is good ground.
  768. 41:46And I encourage you to do what you can to support this work.
  769. 41:51This is one, I said this in first segment,
  770. 41:52you wanna hear it in here then.
  771. 41:53This is one of the places that will be a beach head
  772. 41:55against the darkness that is mounting in our country.
  773. 41:58And I've been talking quite a bit on my show lately
  774. 42:00that we have the Marxist Islamianist elected in New York City.
  775. 42:04We have, I think the record is 42 Muslim elected officials
  776. 42:09It was just last election cycle
  777. 42:11we're elected across the country.
  778. 42:12We have Dearborn Michigan, Hamtramic Michigan,
  779. 42:16the Twin Cities area combined with additional domestic threats
  780. 42:21like treating truth as if it's irrelevant.
  781. 42:25We have all of these things mounting.
  782. 42:28Many in view of all of that would say,
  783. 42:33is it too late?
  784. 42:35We haven't hit 250 yet, it's 249,
  785. 42:37but the barbarian to at the gate, is it too late?
  786. 42:42The wolf is at the door and in some places actually in.
  787. 42:44The house.
  788. 42:45And I for one am never gonna be one to lay down
  789. 42:49and give up no matter what the odds are.
  790. 42:50I think we do our duty no matter what
  791. 42:52and leave the results to God.
  792. 42:53Let's pause on that for a second.
  793. 42:55Yeah, sure.
  794. 42:56Because you're speaking my language.
  795. 42:57You know, it is, you know, I remember the old Booby program
  796. 43:01kill them all at the paramedics sort them out kind of thing.
  797. 43:03But really, I mean, I'm looking at my wife over here,
  798. 43:06I've got six children, my youngest is three-oh before this year.
  799. 43:08I'm unwilling to voluntarily seed what God is entrusted to our kid.
  800. 43:13I think we have to be like Churchill, man.
  801. 43:15We're going to fight him on the streets.
  802. 43:16We're going to fight him on the beaches, fight him in the air.
  803. 43:19And frankly, I think in some areas we're winning.
  804. 43:23Last year, if we'd had this conversation, I'd have said, hey,
  805. 43:25they own every major institution in America.
  806. 43:28We have to start thinking of ourselves as the insurgency at this point.
  807. 43:31we're gonna have to be willing to lose a lot of battles
  808. 43:36and just stay in the fight and Lord willing, it will turn.
  809. 43:39But at this moment, a year later, I'm going,
  810. 43:42man, we got a lot of victories happening right now.
  811. 43:44Trump's giving us a lot of air cover
  812. 43:46and getting the Buddha government off our neck in many ways.
  813. 43:48It's all temporary, which is why you gotta have long term
  814. 43:50change, not just temporary change,
  815. 43:52but I'm seeing some really good things.
  816. 43:53And I would say this way, elections are report cards
  817. 43:58on how well the church is discipling.
  818. 44:01And if we're discipling well, the report card comes out better at the election and then
  819. 44:05you get policies that reflect the discipleship of the community.
  820. 44:10Salt and lights actually happening.
  821. 44:11The chemical reaction of the salt and the meat is actually preserving the meat and then
  822. 44:17bringing out the best flavor of the meat.
  823. 44:18So if we'll do the things we were talking about earlier, then I do believe we can still win.
  824. 44:23I'm an optimistic guy, but I think the data is there.
  825. 44:26Now the data is discouraging if you just look at a moment in time and say, like I was talking
  826. 44:30to Barna earlier today, George Barnan.
  827. 44:32And you talking to Barnan, you go, man, that dad is bad.
  828. 44:3511% have a worldview.
  829. 44:37I mean, that's really bad, right?
  830. 44:38Well, he's down quite a few people in the corner
  831. 44:41over the years as well.
  832. 44:42He's a friend and he'll have his guitars in the back.
  833. 44:45Yes, I was just looking at that.
  834. 44:46Why he's dropping a bass line that's not coming
  835. 44:48from Motown, if you get what I'm saying.
  836. 44:50Oh, that's good.
  837. 44:51Oh, man, it's so true.
  838. 44:53It's so true.
  839. 44:54But I told George today, I was like, okay,
  840. 44:56you give me my reality check.
  841. 44:57And now I know how hard I need to go work.
  842. 44:59but I think just like the founders,
  843. 45:01because you were saying it earlier,
  844. 45:02all those times where God intervened.
  845. 45:05And imagine being Washington
  846. 45:07and you're crossing the Delaware
  847. 45:10to go take on the people that just kicked your tail
  848. 45:12two months ago.
  849. 45:13They just mopped the floor with you.
  850. 45:15And you're gonna do this in a snowstorm,
  851. 45:18you're gonna take on a better force.
  852. 45:20It'd be like you and me going and trying to take
  853. 45:21on the Navy SEALs.
  854. 45:22I mean, these were the Hessian soldiers that were pros, man.
  855. 45:25They were the best of the best.
  856. 45:27And yet he had been on his knees enough to know,
  857. 45:30I can do this if God blesses it, then we're gonna win.
  858. 45:33And it turned the whole thing around.
  859. 45:35And you get to a point where no nation was willing to help,
  860. 45:38his troops had dropped from 25,000 out of 2,500.
  861. 45:41I mean, it was bleak.
  862. 45:43I don't think we're that bleak right now.
  863. 45:45I think we're in a much better position
  864. 45:46than Washington was when he did that.
  865. 45:48So why not do some moves like Washington?
  866. 45:50And take what is, I think, fertile soil out there
  867. 45:54where people are hungry and willing to listen.
  868. 45:56and let's give this thing our best shot.
  869. 45:58And then it's up to God.
  870. 45:59You know, I do think God's not done with America.
  871. 46:03If I'm wrong, then we do the best we can
  872. 46:05with what we got, where we are,
  873. 46:06and we're good stewards of what we had.
  874. 46:08But if I'm right, then we have a chance
  875. 46:10to turn this thing around and not just play defense
  876. 46:13and stop the slouch towards comorps.
  877. 46:15We have a chance to take ground back.
  878. 46:17We have the chance to win communities back.
  879. 46:19We have the chance to restore private property rights,
  880. 46:22restore the proper role of government,
  881. 46:24restore religious liberty in this country
  882. 46:26the way the founders, as you and I were talking this morning offline, the way the founders
  883. 46:30envisioned it to be.
  884. 46:31Man, I think we could have some big victories in the next few years.
  885. 46:34We can if we will.
  886. 46:35We can if we will.
  887. 46:36I love that.
  888. 46:37And with all of that, I don't think the scripture gives us the wherewithal to employ a humanistic
  889. 46:45calculus concerning how we think it will end to answer the question whether or not we will
  890. 46:49obey.
  891. 46:50Where obedience is the key.
  892. 46:51That's it.
  893. 46:52It's the thing about the servants coming in and, you know, does the master just say,
  894. 46:56Hey, go ahead and enjoy yourself.
  895. 46:58You worked hard today or is it your work's not done yet?
  896. 47:00Make dinner, do your thing.
  897. 47:01You know, I mean, that's what we mean to be.
  898. 47:04We need to be joyful in this fight.
  899. 47:05No matter how many hours a day we got to put into it and we got to be more willing to put
  900. 47:09more time into it.
  901. 47:10I think that's part of the deal.
  902. 47:11We've had it so easy for so long, you know, this 40 hour a week American idea of a dream.
  903. 47:17No, six days shout out labor.
  904. 47:19supposed to be in the fight providing for our families,
  905. 47:22defending our families, defending our country,
  906. 47:24defending our faith, six days a week out there working hard,
  907. 47:27and then on that seventh day, working hard,
  908. 47:29worshiping the Lord.
  909. 47:30Yeah, and rest is only needed for people who are working.
  910. 47:33Yeah.
  911. 47:34You don't need rest if you live at rest.
  912. 47:36And I think what you describing the human nature cycle
  913. 47:40with strong men, weak men, and all of that,
  914. 47:42one of the unspoken, I guess you would say,
  915. 47:45mortars in that brick, if you will, is when we've been weak
  916. 47:49protractively, we lose muscle memory. Yeah. Yeah. We forget
  917. 47:55what vigor rigor, an internal capacity to say, you know what,
  918. 48:00I'm uncomfortable being lazy. Yeah. I'm uncomfortable being
  919. 48:04negligent. I'm uncomfortable being lethargic. We lose some of
  920. 48:07that. And unfortunately, the only remedy for that, I had a high
  921. 48:10school basketball coach who said this, this profound proverb,
  922. 48:15pain stimulates the brain.
  923. 48:16That's good.
  924. 48:17Yes.
  925. 48:18And I think we're experiencing a bit of that until your point that God has blessed us in
  926. 48:22our nation with the reprieve.
  927. 48:24I mean with this recent, you know, turn of events, President Trump, 45 and 47 and all
  928. 48:30that kind of stuff.
  929. 48:31And I've been saying it's been beating this drum on my show that guys, that's a reprieve.
  930. 48:34We can't misconstrue what a reprieve is a reprieve is not the promised land.
  931. 48:38A reprieve is an opportunity to inhale and exhale so you can put your nose to the grindstone
  932. 48:42in full view of what has transpired.
  933. 48:44I've been reading my own devotional time in the book of Ezekiel when the Lord rebukes the older sister and the younger sister
  934. 48:51Ahola and a holaba, you know Judah and Israel and the Lord was even more stringent in rebuking Judah
  935. 48:57Because that you watch what happened with Israel
  936. 48:59Yeah, and then you go and repeat the same thing. Yeah, like you are exponentially even more wicked for that phenomenon. So
  937. 49:06So, let me tell this story quick.
  938. 49:10Go, please.
  939. 49:11We are at that same point where the reprieve is God's gotten us out of Egypt and he's already
  940. 49:17performed a miracle for us.
  941. 49:20And now we're standing on the other side and the Egyptians have been drowned and we have
  942. 49:23a choice.
  943. 49:24Are we now going to go do the hard work of scratching and clawing for every inch of the
  944. 49:28promise land?
  945. 49:29Are we going to say, oh, it's too hard, the giants are too big, the fortified cities,
  946. 49:33and then we get depressed and we all got to die in the wilderness and wait for a
  947. 49:36new generation to come along good. That's the choice we're faced with right now.
  948. 49:39Rick, that's it man. That's it guys. That is the choice we're faced with. We can if we
  949. 49:46will. We need people who are sober minded. You refer to the sons of Isecar before
  950. 49:51who understood the times. That was a time of great tension in Israel. Yeah. Saul's
  951. 49:56house. House of David. What are we gonna do? But they understood what what needed
  952. 49:59to be done and the scripture goes on to explain that a particular amount of
  953. 50:03soldiers that were dedicated to fight yes the isacarian answer was armament
  954. 50:08preparation to fight your description from the Red Sea being parted to being
  955. 50:15faced with the promised land in front of God's people is a great description as
  956. 50:20to where we are I pray that the listeners and viewers can hear what God has
  957. 50:25saying to them beyond our words and please support the work
  958. 50:29PatreonAcademy.com. This is one of the beachheads that I believe God has established for this very moment.
