  8. 0:24Even in this dark moment.
  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:35Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  13. 0:38I'm your host Abraham Hamilton, the third.
  14. 0:40Grateful to be with you as we kick off this brand new week.
  15. 0:46I'm delighted to be with you here in studio.
  16. 0:49Man, so much is happening in the world all around our country.
  17. 0:54Nevertheless, God is faithful at this very moment.
  18. 0:58many of you, if not most of you are making your transition,
  19. 1:02from your part time jobs where you generate an income,
  20. 1:05to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome.
  21. 1:07And as you do so, I want to remind you to do it
  22. 1:11with intentionality.
  23. 1:14Understand the primacy that God places on family.
  24. 1:18Welcome his view, his view to inform your engagement
  25. 1:25in his world.
  26. 1:27You know, one of the major things, a lesson, a lesson that I had to learn at a young age,
  27. 1:34and I'm continuing to learn even as I stand now, the scripture says, the way of the transgressor
  28. 1:39is hard.
  29. 1:41The way of the transgressor is hard, and it is unfortunate that there's still so many
  30. 1:52who stand firmly against the will of God,
  31. 1:58which is actually the best thing for us,
  32. 2:01at every point, in every metric,
  33. 2:06but he is rejected so consistently
  34. 2:10because of misunderstanding,
  35. 2:11because of ignorance, succumbing to deception.
  36. 2:16But we have a fresh opportunity with the new mercies
  37. 2:19that are afforded to us, with a fresh sunrise
  38. 2:22to reverse that phenomenon.
  39. 2:23So as you're making your transition right now
  40. 2:25from your part time jobs, where you generate an income
  41. 2:28to your full time jobs, where you cultivate an outcome.
  42. 2:33Understand what it is you get the opportunity to do.
  43. 2:35You have a fresh privilege, a fresh opportunity
  44. 2:39to be a part of the team that is executing the King's dominion,
  45. 2:44executing the King's commission,
  46. 2:48that is being established, the kingdom of God
  47. 2:50is establishing the hearts and minds of people.
  48. 2:54One of the privileges of being a believer
  49. 2:55that we get to live life in light of eternity, or to say it differently from heaven down,
  50. 3:01with the glorious hope and expectation being the fulcrum and the foundation from which we
  51. 3:06engage in life.
  52. 3:12It gives life to every aspect of our encounters, our interactions, our relationships.
  53. 3:19And as a result of understanding that well, man, we get to bear maximum fruit and enjoy
  54. 3:23the privileges of what the Hebrew writer describes as the peaceable fruit of righteousness.
  55. 3:31So as you're making your transition recognized, man, what goes on in your house is far more
  56. 3:36important than what goes on in the White House.
  57. 3:39Right now we have the shenanigans happening on Capitol Hill.
  58. 3:41What are we in day?
  59. 3:42What?
  60. 3:4432 31 32 34 we had 34 today.
  61. 3:49One more day will tie for the longest government shutdown in American history.
  62. 3:55One more day though the government may be shut down.
  63. 4:01The kingdom of God is not shut down.
  64. 4:05we have a responsibility to function that way.
  65. 4:07For those who may have difficulties in your areas
  66. 4:10and we had a caller last week who discussed this,
  67. 4:15this is a perfect opportunity for the church
  68. 4:17to love on those who are closest to us.
  69. 4:21One of the benefits of being a member of the body of Christ
  70. 4:23is that we bear one another's burdens.
  71. 4:26And that is what we're commanded to do in scripture.
  72. 4:33And my heart breaks for the effectlessness
  73. 4:37in the weakness in many sectors of our society.
  74. 4:42But it is heartening to know
  75. 4:49that no matter what transpires temporarily,
  76. 4:52the God is still in control.
  77. 4:54To the word of God, we go second Corinthians chapter 10.
  78. 4:57Second Corinthians chapter 10 is where I wanna go.
  79. 5:00And this is by way of reminder,
  80. 5:04second Corinthians chapter 10 verses three through five.
  81. 5:08I was reflecting on what Peter wrote
  82. 5:12in the first chapter of his second epistle,
  83. 5:15when he acknowledges that, you know,
  84. 5:16I'm close to having the time of my departure is near,
  85. 5:20but it is no trouble for me to remind you of these things.
  86. 5:24Though you already know them, this is what Peter says,
  87. 5:26you know them, but it's no trouble for me
  88. 5:28to remind you of these things.
  89. 5:30And even he even says, and to comport myself in such a way
  90. 5:33so that after I'm gone, that after I'm gone,
  91. 5:37you will be mindful of these things.
  92. 5:40Second Corinthians chapter 10, verses three through five.
  93. 5:44The Apostle Paul is writing here and he's being moved,
  94. 5:48inspired by the Spirit of God.
  95. 5:52And this is what he says,
  96. 5:53So though we walk in the flesh,
  97. 5:55we do not war according to the flesh.
  98. 5:58Well, the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh,
  99. 6:02but divinely powerful, divinely powerful
  100. 6:07for the destruction of fortresses.
  101. 6:11We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing
  102. 6:15raised up against the knowledge of God.
  103. 6:17And we are taking every thought captive
  104. 6:20to the obedience of Christ.
  105. 6:25The main thing I want to remind us of in this moment
  106. 6:30is really several things, but one overarching thing.
  107. 6:34I want to remind the believer to fight like a believer,
  108. 6:41refuse to adopt the ways of carnality
  109. 6:46to battle carnality, refuse to allow your temporal environment
  110. 6:55to dictate to you new marching orders that are foreign
  111. 7:00to what the Lord has prescribed to us.
  112. 7:04I've long, well, I've long said,
  113. 7:07and I have been saying recently even,
  114. 7:09that one of the great challenges of the moment that we're in
  115. 7:12is that we're looking to often socio-political answers
  116. 7:17answers to spiritual problems.
  117. 7:20We're looking for socio-political answers
  118. 7:25to spiritual problems.
  119. 7:27I will never be one of these people who would say,
  120. 7:32and see because everything is spiritual,
  121. 7:35you don't need to worry about voting
  122. 7:36and you don't need to worry about getting elected.
  123. 7:38Honestly guys, that is, first of all,
  124. 7:40it's counterproductive.
  125. 7:42Second of all, it's unhelpful.
  126. 7:43But honestly, it is an affront to a high and holy God
  127. 7:46who by his divine providence and grace
  128. 7:48place us in this land with the freedom and the access that we have.
  129. 7:51If they'll just say it differently, if the Lord didn't want me to be involved in using
  130. 7:56my civic citizenship to be salt and light, he could have very easily put me in communist
  131. 8:02China.
  132. 8:04Because guess what?
  133. 8:06You have no say so, civically in communist China.
  134. 8:08He could have very easily made me an Iranian.
  135. 8:12So that's just a foolish, Jeff, you got a visitor.
  136. 8:17That's just a foolish thing to say.
  137. 8:20You know, Jeff, then we just doing the show here.
  138. 8:22You know, Jeff got company.
  139. 8:22Hey, hey Marty, we in you, we in you.
  140. 8:24I haven't got even said, look, the corner contingent,
  141. 8:26we got Marty Sparks lighting up the dark end studio,
  142. 8:29you know, Mr. McIntosh.
  143. 8:31I mean, when you ready to show, you just let me know,
  144. 8:33you know, we, you know, all right.
  145. 8:36The real T-Mac, often imitated.
  146. 8:39Maybe somebody got a 3D printer trying to duplicate you.
  147. 8:41I don't know.
  148. 8:43I don't know.
  149. 8:43All right.
  150. 8:45Let me get back on track here.
  151. 8:46The prevalent and abounding issues that we have in our society
  152. 8:53guys are spiritual at the root.
  153. 8:56And so we need people on the front lines in the civic sphere.
  154. 9:03I'm grateful for my brother Tony Perkins and FRC.
  155. 9:06And I'm grateful for our brethren at Alliance of Indian Freedom.
  156. 9:10And my brother Matt Staver, who's got a huge case pending
  157. 9:14before the Supreme Court right now, private conferences this week
  158. 9:18on November 7th, Friday.
  159. 9:22I'm grateful for these brothers.
  160. 9:23But guess what else we need?
  161. 9:26We need the hands and feet of Jesus on the ground
  162. 9:28in our nation, appealing to the hearts and minds of people
  163. 9:31with the gospel and making disciples.
  164. 9:33If we have all of the civic engagement
  165. 9:36and we are not making disciples,
  166. 9:39what is going to be the result and the fruit
  167. 9:41of that civic engagement?
  168. 9:42It's gonna ultimately fall flat.
  169. 9:45It's not either or, it's both and.
  170. 9:47We need all hands on deck.
  171. 9:50And as I mentioned, I'm grateful for our team,
  172. 9:53AFA action engaged in the front line and
  173. 9:55the legislatures across the country and in Capitol Hill.
  174. 9:58You know, I'm grateful for our friends, our
  175. 10:02brothers at First Liberty, you know, killing it.
  176. 10:05I mean killing it. Doing amazing work.
  177. 10:08Our friends at Wall Builders, David Barton and the son Tim Barton,
  178. 10:12we're grateful for all of these people. But guys,
  179. 10:15we have to do our part. This is what I'm saying.
  180. 10:19And we can't be, you know, the kind of, we're just gazing into the sky,
  181. 10:24You know, if somebody is going to do something, no, that somebody is you and me.
  182. 10:27That somebody is you and me.
  183. 10:31The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, are not carnal.
  184. 10:36It's an indictment upon the body of Christ that we have more professing Christians to
  185. 10:39assure up for political rally than we show up at our churches prayer meetings.
  186. 10:43That's an indictment.
  187. 10:45That's an indictment.
  188. 10:48Is indictment when it comes to understanding or should I say considering those who invest
  189. 10:53themselves and sharing with their neighbors that the first people usually come to mind
  190. 10:59are, you know, the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons.
  191. 11:06That's an indictment.
  192. 11:11That's an indictment.
  193. 11:14So for too long, we've had a reductionist understanding of being salt and light and we
  194. 11:22hadn't have not understood the role that the body of Christ was to play in making disciples.
  195. 11:28and I've been referring to John Adams's quote,
  196. 11:30John Adams's quote often in describing that
  197. 11:33because he says, man, we don't have a government
  198. 11:36that's sufficient to contend with an American citizenry
  199. 11:41whose morals are unbridled by morality and religion.
  200. 11:46They'll run throughout constitution
  201. 11:47like a whale goes through a net,
  202. 11:49that's what John Adams said.
  203. 11:54And often we have people who lament the features
  204. 11:59of a should I say the byproduct
  205. 12:01of having a citizenry that has a heart condition
  206. 12:07that is convicted by the Lord.
  207. 12:10Same here, I remember back in the day,
  208. 12:13some of y'all may not have had this experience,
  209. 12:17but I remember growing up in the oilers,
  210. 12:19my grandmother stopped putting burglar bars on her windows,
  211. 12:22and putting up gates and fences,
  212. 12:25and you have to ask yourself,
  213. 12:25is this to keep the burglars out,
  214. 12:27or to keep us locked in?
  215. 12:31And then to visit, this is,
  216. 12:33grown up in Orleans and is burglar bars on everything.
  217. 12:35And I go to other parts of the country and say,
  218. 12:37man, these people don't even have to lock their doors.
  219. 12:40Why?
  220. 12:40Because of some sectors of our country,
  221. 12:43there's some people who don't think stealing is
  222. 12:46the hobby of the day.
  223. 12:50While in some sectors, and I know it
  224. 12:52because I've grown up in the environment.
  225. 12:53Where if you leave your door unlocked,
  226. 12:56unlocked, the criminal says,
  227. 12:57is your fault that your stuff gets stolen.
  228. 13:02Because on the block they'll say, call them slipping.
  229. 13:05guys, y'all think I'm kidding, I'm dead serious.
  230. 13:08Look at this one.
  231. 13:09Left their car door unlocked, caught them slipping.
  232. 13:12Like is your fault if you don't lock your car door?
  233. 13:15And look, I'm not saying being foolish, I understand,
  234. 13:17you have to be wise and all these kind of things,
  235. 13:19but the biggest and enduring need in America's repentance, man.
  236. 13:26And the problem, the major problem that is transpiring
  237. 13:30is that we are in some segments of our society
  238. 13:34willing to abandon biblical fidelity in exchange for political expediency.
  239. 13:42And I'm saying, if we do that, we ultimately will lose.
  240. 13:45We ultimately will lose God said he establishes church to be the pillar
  241. 13:49and ground of truth. And when I say ultimately, we'll lose, what am I talking
  242. 13:53about? I am talking about both and, okay, if we have those who are willing to
  243. 14:01adopt the practices of rebels against Christ,
  244. 14:08but to say, hey, but at least we went in elections.
  245. 14:12You may win the battle, but you lose the war.
  246. 14:14And then even worse than that,
  247. 14:16you have cascading,
  248. 14:17in compounding quantities of our fellow citizens
  249. 14:22who face an eternity without submitting their lives
  250. 14:27to Jesus Christ and saving faith.
  251. 14:32And so instead of being a nation,
  252. 14:34experiencing freedoms that mankind
  253. 14:36when prior generations couldn't even dream of,
  254. 14:39we snatch death, or should I say,
  255. 14:42snatch defeat from a context of victory,
  256. 14:46and not only have a winnering of freedoms,
  257. 14:48but ultimately and even worse,
  258. 14:51we have increasing quantities of people
  259. 14:54that face eternal damnation.
  260. 14:56Vaux.
  261. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  262. 15:04Love gives.
  263. 15:05Love seeks to bless.
  264. 15:06Love seeks to carry out the work and the will of God.
  265. 15:09That's an important truth to understand.
  266. 15:11You know, the world often will say,
  267. 15:12I love you because you're pretty.
  268. 15:15I love you because you give me money
  269. 15:16or all sorts of things.
  270. 15:18But genuine love isn't a love that says I love you because.
  271. 15:22Someone says they love you,
  272. 15:23but they're always asking you for this and that.
  273. 15:26And they say, I love you so you should do this for me.
  274. 15:29Again, that doesn't sound like love
  275. 15:31based on what the Word of God teaches us.
  276. 15:33John 3 16 tells us for God,
  277. 15:35so love the world that he gave
  278. 15:37his only begotten son
  279. 15:38whosoever believes on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
  280. 15:42You know, when we're evangelizing and doing the work of disciple making, we're loving
  281. 15:48people.
  282. 15:49Remember the Word of God and the Spirit of God teach us to live a lifestyle of ministry,
  283. 15:54reaching out to a world that desperately needs to be touched by the love of God.
  284. 16:00So right now may be the perfect time for you to rethink how you pay for health care.

  288. 16:18game changer for a lot of people.
  289. 16:19But what's more, MetaShare members like it.
  290. 16:23We know this from member surveys.
  291. 16:24They like it a lot.

  301. 17:05Shining light into the darkness, this is the Hamilton Quarter, an American family radio.
  302. 17:10Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton, the third here.
  303. 17:15I wanted to share something with you that I saw and it actually is going to relate to
  304. 17:24what we talk about, some of the things we talk about in the show today.
  305. 17:29I saw this minister and he was talking about the cathedral, the Hagia Sophia.
  306. 17:40All right, the Hagia Sophia derives from the Greek words,
  307. 17:43Hagia meaning holy,
  308. 17:45Sophia meaning wisdom, the Church of Holy Wisdom.
  309. 17:48And he was talking about how a modern Presbyterian church,
  310. 17:53its architectural structuring was very similar.
  311. 17:56It was similar to the way that Hagia Sophia was constructed.
  312. 18:03He said, but there was a unique difference there.
  313. 18:07There was a unique difference between
  314. 18:10the modern Presbyterian Church in Hagia, Sophia, currently, currently.
  315. 18:15And I wanted to present this to you just to ponder as we are facing things in our own nation.
  316. 18:22We're seeing things happening all around the world.
  317. 18:26Listen to and watch this is clip number five.
  318. 18:31Listen to a watch clip number five. Go.
  319. 18:34If I showed you photos of the Hagia Sophia, you would think that it's 10th Presbyterian
  320. 18:40And there's a mini Hagia Sophia church, but you know the main difference?
  321. 18:48In the Hagia Sophia there is no pulpit.
  322. 18:52There's not even a single Bible in the Hagia Sophia.
  323. 18:56Do you know why?
  324. 18:58Because the Hagia Sophia today is an Islamic mosque.
  325. 19:05The largest Christian church in the ancient world is today an Islamic mosque.
  326. 19:15The church lost the gospel and how did it lose the gospel because it closed the Bible?
  327. 19:25When a church closes the Bible, it loses the gospel and soon after it loses the church entirely.
  328. 19:38Don't close your Bibles. I saw this clip and I was so stirred and just thinking about
  329. 19:47What has happened, you know for example we think about?
  330. 19:52Think about the church is mentioned in the book of Revelation Revelation 3, you know Smyrna Thyra
  331. 19:57Laodicea, you know it goes on and on and on think about Paul's letter letter to the church at Ephesus
  332. 20:05You know the church at Colossae
  333. 20:08Do you think there's any evidence of a Christian witness in those places now?
  334. 20:12think about what is happening in world history, what's unfolded in these areas.
  335. 20:19And I'll as you're considering that some of you tuned into the program I did with
  336. 20:26my brother, Israel Wayne, who lives in the state of Michigan. And I learned a
  337. 20:31correction to one of the cities is Hamtramic, Michigan. And think about
  338. 20:37Dearborn, what's happening right here in our own nation.
  339. 20:44Israel said that that Sharia has not been formalized in Dearborn, but there is a functional Sharia
  340. 20:55in Dearborn in America, guys, in America.
  341. 21:03The efforts to establish Epic City in North Texas, North in the North Dallas, North of
  342. 21:08Dallas area.
  343. 21:09Am I saying we should have this zealous march?
  344. 21:18No, no, no.
  345. 21:19Open your Bibles.
  346. 21:20Don't close your Bibles.
  347. 21:23Don't close your Bibles.
  348. 21:24I know it's not invoked to the world.
  349. 21:27But guess what?
  350. 21:27It is eternal compassion that compels me
  351. 21:29to share the gospel with my neighbor.
  352. 21:31I'm not trying to bludgeon them with the scripture.
  353. 21:32I'm not trying to browbeat anybody.
  354. 21:35It's because I believe the truth of God's word.
  355. 21:38I believe eternity is real.
  356. 21:43That's right in the DFW area too.
  357. 21:47Think about what's happening.
  358. 21:48And we've been talking about it routinely here.
  359. 21:52We reported the story of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  360. 21:54Christians were rounded up,
  361. 21:58then brought right before the Protestant church in town
  362. 22:00and then be headed in front of the church,
  363. 22:03the church building.
  364. 22:06What's happening currently in Sudan,
  365. 22:10what has been happening for quite some time in Sudan,
  366. 22:13what's happening in Nigeria, you know?
  367. 22:17As this is real, it's very real.
  368. 22:22And the methods are not the same,
  369. 22:24but the intensity is the same,
  370. 22:25that the effort to destroy the Christian witness,
  371. 22:29as for example, demonstrated in Nigeria,
  372. 22:32you think Satan has any less intensity
  373. 22:34is desired accrested Christian witness in America?
  374. 22:38No, no, the intensity of the strategy is the same,
  375. 22:43although the methods are different.
  376. 22:46Again, in 2 Peter, chapter one, Peter wrote,
  377. 22:49you know, if these qualities are yours and they are increasing,
  378. 22:51they will fortify you against being useless and unfruitful
  379. 22:54in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  380. 22:57Think about the majority of the professing church
  381. 22:58in America today.
  382. 22:59Would you say it is fruitful and useful?
  383. 23:04Or would you say something else?
  384. 23:08You see, there are lots of things circumstantially and environmentally that have been foisted
  385. 23:13upon the believer in our country that are generated from satanic launching pads to keep the body
  386. 23:25of Christ, docile and distracted and materialist and concerned about everything but proclaiming
  387. 23:37the gospel and making disciples.
  388. 23:40And the believer to think it's actually an exercise in immaturity if you actually have
  389. 23:50sharp convictions that you abide by, that you're trying to live unstained from this word.
  390. 23:55Oh no, you're immature if you do that.
  391. 23:56You're mature.
  392. 23:57If you can live in such a way where you can, you know, instead of what must I do to be saved,
  393. 24:02how close to the world in this line can I get and still have my social club cards status?
  394. 24:11In just a couple places of introspection and examination, where on your hierarchy of commitments and
  395. 24:18investments, does the souls of men come in?
  396. 24:24Are we concerned about the spiritual condition of the people that we interact with on a daily
  397. 24:27basis?
  398. 24:28Are we concerned that it's appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment?
  399. 24:36How about the elevation of what they call a quote unquote, social gospel?
  400. 24:39Guys, can I tell you, playing it?
  401. 24:40There is no social gospel.
  402. 24:43is the gospel and the fruit that is produced by the gospel.
  403. 24:51If you see a man who's in the cold and you give him a coat, you make warm his body.
  404. 25:01But where does the gospel come in if you're willing to give a man a coat to shield his
  405. 25:03body from the cold and there is not even a hint of consideration for his soul eternally?
  406. 25:14This is what I'm saying when I saw that struck me.
  407. 25:18You close your Bible, you lose the gospel.
  408. 25:21You close your Bible.
  409. 25:23The witness of the church ultimately.
  410. 25:26That's what is compromised.
  411. 25:33Over the weekend, President Trump made two statements about two public statements about
  412. 25:40the wicked slaughter that is transpiring in Nigeria.
  413. 25:44First, he made a statement, then he amplified it.
  414. 25:49First he made a statement and said this quote, Christianity, he posted this on true social,
  415. 25:52by the way.
  416. 25:53He said this quote, Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria.
  417. 25:57Thousands of Christians are being killed.
  418. 25:59Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter.
  419. 26:03I am hereby making Nigeria a country of particular concern.
  420. 26:07But that is the least of it.
  421. 26:08When Christians or any such group is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria, something must
  422. 26:11be done.
  423. 26:13I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations
  424. 26:18Committee to immediately look into this matter and report back to me.
  425. 26:22The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and numerous
  426. 26:26other countries.
  427. 26:27We stand ready, willing and able to save our great Christian population around the world."
  428. 26:33Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.
  429. 26:38Then on Saturday, he ramped it up.
  430. 26:43He ramped it up.
  431. 26:44On Saturday, he says this, quote, if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of
  432. 26:50Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria.
  433. 26:56It may very well go into that now-disgraced country, guns-a-blazing, to completely wipe
  434. 27:03out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.
  435. 27:06I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action.
  436. 27:12If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack
  437. 27:16our cherished Christians.
  438. 27:18Warning, the Nigerian government better move fast."
  439. 27:21That last line was in all caps, by the way.
  440. 27:25President Trump had his true social fingers already.
  441. 27:28And if you know, he doesn't type himself, he dictates what is typed.
  442. 27:33the alt buddy reads it before they press post to which after this one out
  443. 27:41pete hexeth secretary of war
  444. 27:46responded
  445. 27:48he posted this on on the artist form an honest with an ex responded quote
  446. 27:52yes sir
  447. 27:53the killing of innocent christians in nigerian anywhere must and immediately
  448. 27:57the department of wars preparing for action
  449. 27:59either the nigerian government protects christians or we will kill this
  450. 28:02lama terrorist or committing these horrible atrocities in quote
  451. 28:10y'all think he's playing
  452. 28:14Now I have to tell you, I am not a fan of America
  453. 28:17serving as a world's police, you know?
  454. 28:23I'm not a fan of that,
  455. 28:24but I have to tell you this,
  456. 28:25I appreciate the president responding to this issue.
  457. 28:27And I can tell you what I think he's doing.
  458. 28:30I believe, I don't believe the president intends
  459. 28:33to put any kind of boots on the ground
  460. 28:35and Nigeria, anything like that.
  461. 28:38But I think one of the major things he's attempting to do
  462. 28:40is elevate this issue to international importance.
  463. 28:44Because once he's learned about it,
  464. 28:47I've seen him now in two terms as president
  465. 28:50and then in the four years in the intervening years
  466. 28:54where Mr. No Malarkey and his auto pin,
  467. 28:58you know, took a nap together, you know what I mean?
  468. 29:00What auto pin was a wait,
  469. 29:07but I believe he's bringing this to international detention.
  470. 29:10Now, let me say, I do not think he's playing though.
  471. 29:17I do not think he's playing.
  472. 29:19And the thing is a lot of people complain
  473. 29:22to talk about a lot of other things.
  474. 29:23when he talks about the immediate withdrawal of international aid and even just the mention
  475. 29:29of the United States' involvement militarily, especially following what we saw with the B2
  476. 29:37bombers, thinking at this juncture I'm very confident that he knows exactly what he's
  477. 29:46doing.
  478. 29:47And so do not be surprised if all of a sudden you see a slight change.
  479. 29:54here's the thing that I am not certain that the president is aware of.
  480. 30:00And well, let me not say it that way.
  481. 30:01I'm pretty, he probably is aware of is in his pressing this anyway.
  482. 30:05But there has been this kind of wink and nod relationship between the Nigerian government
  483. 30:12and Islamic terrorists on the ground because they know what's going on.
  484. 30:14And frankly, they tacitly support it and not even just tacitly.
  485. 30:19They know what's going on and they intentionally don't try to stop it because many in the government
  486. 30:24of Nigeria want to see Christians eradicating.
  487. 30:31So you have that elevated to international concern.
  488. 30:36And here's another thing that I believe the president is doing.
  489. 30:38Because some of you may recall other than on this program
  490. 30:43and other Christian networks and like Voice of the Martyrs
  491. 30:45and others, the media in our country wasn't discussing this at all.
  492. 30:49But guess who's discussing it now?
  493. 30:53Every media outlet in the country is discussing it now.
  494. 30:57For example, for example, here we go.
  495. 31:10Listen to and watch this video.
  496. 31:12It's clip nine is clip number nine.
  497. 31:16Go president Trump is not mincing words here.
  498. 31:19This is what he said on truth social yesterday.
  499. 31:22If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing
  500. 31:25of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid
  501. 31:29and assistance to Nigeria and may very well go
  502. 31:32into the now-disgraced country at guns of blazing to completely wipe out the Islamic
  503. 31:37terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.
  504. 31:39I'm here by instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible attack.
  505. 31:44If we attack it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished
  506. 31:49Christians."
  507. 31:50Secretary of War Pete Hexeth got the message and says the Department of War is preparing
  508. 31:56for action.
  509. 31:57The response comes as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria has reached crisis levels.
  510. 32:03Islamist militants have burned down churches in Christian schools.
  511. 32:07And international civil rights groups estimate more than 50,000 Christians have been murdered
  512. 32:12in the country since 2009.
  513. 32:15While I'm glad they're covering it, it's more than double that number.
  514. 32:18It's more than 100,000.
  515. 32:20But now they're covering this, you see.
  516. 32:23And when the lights come on, again, there's another lesson from the hood.
  517. 32:27you know, when the lights come on, the cockroaches in the scatter.
  518. 32:32I am just, that's just, that's just what it is.
  519. 32:36That's what it is.
  520. 32:37You know, so I'm exceedingly grateful for that.
  521. 32:39I'll be definitely watching to see the developments
  522. 32:42on that front.
  523. 32:50I'm gonna talk about a new sheriff in town.
  524. 32:52Can you imagine auto pin responding to something like this?
  525. 32:54You know, in fact, it went on under auto pin
  526. 33:00and they didn't say a word about it.
  527. 33:03Didn't say a word about it.
  528. 33:05So I'm heartened in that regard, you know,
  529. 33:08and to have, you know, Pete Hake Seth,
  530. 33:11he could have responded privately,
  531. 33:12you know, he responded publicly.
  532. 33:14Yes, sir.
  533. 33:16We're standing by.
  534. 33:20It's a different day, man.
  535. 33:25Don't put your Bible down.
  536. 33:26Don't close your Bibles, guys.
  537. 33:28Don't close your Bibles.
  538. 33:32We must remain vigilant,
  539. 33:35and we must remain diligent
  540. 33:40and to engage from the eternal perspective.
  541. 33:43Since heaven is our home, what do we have to lose?
  542. 33:48Let's live for the glory of the king.
  543. 33:49More Hamilton corner on the other side of the break.
  544. 33:51Y'all stay with us.
  545. 34:01Children of course are given to parents by God,
  546. 34:06not to the state.
  547. 34:07Children don't belong to the state.
  548. 34:09And we need to make sure that those lines
  549. 34:11are very clearly protected and increasingly
  550. 34:14a secularized culture where the government
  551. 34:17has not only tried to make the church completely irrelevant,
  552. 34:22but basically replace parents.

  567. 35:00This is Franklin Graham and we've got an idea for Christmas
  568. 35:03and that is to fill a shoebox for a child
  569. 35:06somewhere in the third world.
  570. 35:07These children live in poverty.
  571. 35:09And what I'm asking you to do is just take a shoebox
  572. 35:11and fill it with items for a child,
  573. 35:13put toys, school supplies,
  574. 35:14and then we give these boxes out
  575. 35:16and we do this in Jesus' name.
  576. 35:18And put your picture in there,
  577. 35:19your address and then maybe the kids can write you back but we need you to be a part of it.

  579. 35:31The Hamilton Quarter podcast and one-minute common
  580. 35:37territory are available at efr.net back to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  581. 35:44Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton the third here, you know,
  582. 35:48So a wide ranging interview with President Trump on CBS was was aired on CBS yesterday.
  583. 35:56He was interviewed by Nora O'Donnell.
  584. 35:59And there was some interesting things in the interview, but there's something that's very
  585. 36:03important that I want to bring to your attention.
  586. 36:04And basically it's two stories that are related, but they are developments that are extremely
  587. 36:11significant for our nation's trajectory.
  588. 36:14And I'm talking about concerning the 2015 rovers, not rovers the way, the Obergefell versus
  589. 36:19Hodges decision from 2015. Well, the Texas state Supreme Court made a huge move that may not
  590. 36:29seem huge to many people, but it is nevertheless a huge move. In December 2019, there was a local
  591. 36:41justice of the piece. Her name was Diane Hinsley. Let me make sure I got her name right.
  592. 36:50Yes, it was justice of the peace, Hensley, who because of her Christian convictions refused
  593. 37:00to issue a same-sex marriage license.
  594. 37:04She was disciplined by the state commission on judicial conduct.
  595. 37:09In fact, they said her refusal to issue marriage license with same-sex couples was something
  596. 37:19that cast doubt on her quote, capacity to act impartially as a judge.
  597. 37:24End quote.
  598. 37:26So Hinsley in response decided to no longer do any weddings as a judge because she didn't
  599. 37:32want to be accused of acting partially based on her religious convictions.
  600. 37:37However, in declining to do any further weddings, she ended up filing a lawsuit because Texas
  601. 37:45has a state law called Texas's Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
  602. 37:49You have that estate legislatures all across the country that laws really on the books
  603. 37:52in almost every red state all across the country.
  604. 37:54That simply says that their first amendment freedoms cannot be curtailed by the government.
  605. 38:03So she filed a lawsuit on that front.
  606. 38:07Initially, initially she lost.
  607. 38:13But in July of 2004, the Texas Supreme Court reversed the adjustment against her ruling that
  608. 38:19and Hensley's religious freedom claims were clearly sufficient under Texas's Religious
  609. 38:24Freedom Restoration Act and allowed her to continue with her civil litigation.
  610. 38:28Fast forward, Hensley's case made it all the way up to the Texas State Supreme Court and
  611. 38:33last week on October 24th, the court amended its canon for judicial ethics in the state,
  612. 38:39specifically canon four, and said, quote, it is not a violation of these cannons for a
  613. 38:46judge to publicly refrain from performing a wedding ceremony based upon a sincerely held
  614. 38:54religious belief.
  615. 38:56All right, I have a clip for you on this issue in this story.
  616. 38:59Listen to and watch clip number six, clip number six, go.
  617. 39:04The Texas Supreme Court in the national spotlight after it changed the status quo when it comes
  618. 39:08to same sex marriage, issuing an interpretation of the judicial code of conduct that reads,
  619. 39:14quote, it is not a violation of these cannons for a judge to publicly refrain from performing
  620. 39:19a wedding ceremony based upon a sincerely held religious belief.
  621. 39:23The change comes after this ban. Jack County Judge Brian Umpfries filed a federal lawsuit
  622. 39:27against the state over fear he would be punished if he declined to marry same-sex couples, something
  623. 39:32he says goes against his religion. We reached out to Umpfries. He told us he could not come
  624. 39:37in unpending litigation, but the new rule changed from the state's highest court appears
  625. 39:41to settle his case.
  626. 39:43So you heard there, Judge Humphrey is another judge who similarly objected to the practice
  627. 39:50based on his religious freedom.
  628. 39:52Well, the state of Texas, boy, I had to do my arguments, the great state of Texas has said
  629. 40:00that judges have the lawful authority, the lawful authority based upon this sincerely, sincerely
  630. 40:06held religious beliefs to refrain from officiating and issuing same-
  631. 40:13officiating same-sex marriage ceremonies or issuing a same-sex marriage license.
  632. 40:20Now as I say that some of you immediately are remembering, well what?
  633. 40:23Remember what Kim Davis had the state of Kentucky done in 2015 with the state of
  634. 40:33Texas and Supreme Court has just done? Kim Davis would have never had any
  635. 40:36problems. But the opposite happened in 2015. Some of you may remember the story shortly after
  636. 40:44the Obergefell decision was released by the Supreme Court issued by the Supreme Court,
  637. 40:50Kim Davis as a clerk, a court clerk declined to issue same sex marriage licenses.
  638. 40:56Then she's similar to Judge Diane Hinsley in the Justice of the Peace in Texas said,
  639. 41:01I won't do any marriage licenses. All right. Well, some people don't know some don't remember
  640. 41:08some of the gritty details of the case. But the individuals, and I have their names here,
  641. 41:15David Ermold and David Moore sued Kim Davis personally, sued her personally, because they
  642. 41:23were not satisfied with having another clerk being willing to issue their marriage license.
  643. 41:28They wanted to force Kim Davis to put her name on their licenses. Yeah.
  644. 41:36And thankfully our friends at Liberty Council, Matt Staver represents Kim Davis.
  645. 41:39Well, Kim Davis has been involved in litigation for the last 10 years, guys.
  646. 41:46Mm-hmm.
  647. 41:47Because they threw her in jail.
  648. 41:48Remember that?
  649. 41:49She went to jail for six days.
  650. 41:50They fined her.
  651. 41:53Then when these men sued her, they won judgments against her, totaling over $360,000 in judgments
  652. 41:59against her.
  653. 42:01Well, guess what?
  654. 42:03Matt Staver, her attorney, and Kim Davis appealed that civil judgment against her all
  655. 42:12the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court. And guess where that litigation is now? The United
  656. 42:21States Supreme Court is holding a private conference Thursday, this Thursday, to determine whether
  657. 42:30or not the full court needs to hear Kim Davis's appeal. Now the court could do a couple things.
  658. 42:37First, the court could agree that they will hear Kim Davis's appeal. Some of you may be
  659. 42:42aware in order for the Supreme Court to hear a case, it only takes four of the justices to agree.
  660. 42:52We need to hear this case. Only four of the nine need to agree that they will hear the case.
  661. 42:58They are having that private conference on Thursday. And one of the major things,
  662. 43:05major reasons why I'm presenting this to you is because I want to ask you to pray concerning this
  663. 43:09conference. Because what also could occur is that they don't have four justices who agree to hear the
  664. 43:17case. They decline to hear the case and then the appellate court ruling stays in place and
  665. 43:23nothing goes forward. All right. But if the justices agree to hear the case, Matt Staver
  666. 43:30is making two arguments on Kim Davis's behalf and presenting two questions would present
  667. 43:35two questions to the full court. The first question would be whether the First Amendment
  668. 43:39is an affirmative defense to a government official sued in her individual capacity where the claim
  669. 43:45is for emotional distress allegedly resulted from hurt feelings connected to religious expression.
  670. 43:51See, the two men sued and the two classes of plaintiffs, I should say, sued Kim Davis because
  671. 43:58they sought damages for emotional distress related to Kim Davis' refusal to issue marriage licenses
  672. 44:04for them initially.
  673. 44:10The next line, the next line of address is a big one.
  674. 44:19When Davis' attorney, Matt Staver, is asking the court to determine whether or not the
  675. 44:24Obergefell decision was wrongly decided and should be overturned.
  676. 44:32And the specific verbiage employed in the petition is whether or not Obergefell was
  677. 44:37quote, egregiously wrong when decided.
  678. 44:43In quote, if that language sounds familiar to you, it should be because that is exactly
  679. 44:49what the court said when they overturned Roe in Casey.
  680. 44:52They said it was egregiously wrong when decided,
  681. 44:57listen to and watch this clip discussing this,
  682. 45:00the potential of this case being heard.
  683. 45:03And this discussion took place last month,
  684. 45:05but the private conference will transpire Thursday,
  685. 45:09November 7th, listen to and watch clip number 10,
  686. 45:12clip 10, go.
  687. 45:13Well, in recent years, Carol, we've been waiting
  688. 45:16for a case like this as some of the sentiment
  689. 45:18in the country and started to shift a little bit softened rather against same-sex marriages,
  690. 45:23but a lot of talk about whether the justices will get a chance to reconsider the case.
  691. 45:28And as you said there, they are getting that opportunity next month.
  692. 45:32We've learned that Kim Davis, she's that Kentucky clerk from back in 2015 that was at the center
  693. 45:37of international controversy when she refused to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple
  694. 45:42in Kentucky.
  695. 45:43In defiance of the Supreme Court, she spent six days in jail.
  696. 45:47She lost a defamation suit.
  697. 45:49She had to pay $100,000 in damages, $260,000 in legal fees.
  698. 45:54That's what she's appealing to the Supreme Court, but it's the first time, Kira, that
  699. 45:58anyone has technically asked the justices explicitly to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges,
  700. 46:05which was that landmark ruling.
  701. 46:06And she does just that.
  702. 46:08Her counsel in this petition, which was filed last week, says that decision was egregiously
  703. 46:13wrong.
  704. 46:14If that sounds familiar, that's the same type of argument that was made by opponents of abortion
  705. 46:20when they sought to overturn Roe versus Wade just a few years ago.
  706. 46:24So a lot of eyes on this petition, it's unclear whether the court will take it up, but certainly
  707. 46:28a lot on the line.
  708. 46:31So this is here.
  709. 46:36This is here.
  710. 46:38This is happening.
  711. 46:40This is something that is worth your consideration and your prayer because a lot of the conversations
  712. 46:48where having now concerning children being born in the wrong bodies and all of these kind of things,
  713. 46:55do states have the authority to protect their minor citizens from transgender,
  714. 46:59gender, gender, and chemical class, castrating drugs and things of that nature.
  715. 47:02All of those things flowed downstream from the Obergefell decision. The Bostock case
  716. 47:09came to us following the Obergefell decision. This is a big deal. This is a big deal.
  717. 47:15There are lots of things that can be said about legal strategy and what's the approach
  718. 47:23and things of that nature, but this is an opportunity.
  719. 47:32It is an opportunity.
  720. 47:36And so I want to invite you to join me and others around the country.
  721. 47:41That's absolutely right.
  722. 47:42There's child abuse, man.
  723. 47:43There's child abuse.
  724. 47:44It's absolutely child abuse.
  725. 47:47That is the transing of children.
  726. 47:48There's child abuse.
  727. 47:49So I want to invite you to join me and many others around the country in praying for the
  728. 48:02will of the Lord to be revealed in our nation, man, and for us to reject the lie and the rebellion
  729. 48:13that we've embraced years ago.
  730. 48:15All right.
  731. 48:19I mentioned that President Trump was on 60 minutes and it's just a very wide ranging interview.
  732. 48:23It's funny.
  733. 48:24You know, they pre-record the interview.
  734. 48:25So he recorded Friday for the interview to be aired Saturday.
  735. 48:31much stuff that wasn't included like he mock CBS was saying, hey, you guys paid me a lot
  736. 48:36of money because y'all edited that interview with, he said her name, which I don't know if
  737. 48:41she was trying to never be president, the remix. He said, well, but I like your new head of news
  738. 48:46there talking about Barry Weiss who's now head of news at CBS as the editor in chief there.
  739. 48:55But the conversation turned because President Trump just had a meeting with Xi Jinping and
  740. 49:01China and he made some concessions that is China, made some concessions.
  741. 49:06Very interesting.
  742. 49:07But the conversation turned to President Trump on Taiwan.
  743. 49:10And for some reason, Nora O'Donnell thought it was her point, her privilege and her position
  744. 49:15to tell, to get the president to just, you know, say on national television what his plans
  745. 49:20might be should the Chinese attack.
  746. 49:22Listen to this craziness.
  747. 49:23It's clip number seven, clip seven, go.
  748. 49:25Do you order US forces to defend Taiwan?
  749. 49:28You'll find out if it happens and he understands the answer to that
  750. 49:32Why not say it?
  751. 49:33He never even came up yesterday as a subject. He never brought it up
  752. 49:37People were a little surprised that he never brought it up because he understands it and he understands it very well
  753. 49:42Do you mind if I ask when you say he understands?
  754. 49:44Why not communicate that publicly to the rest of us? What does he understand?
  755. 49:48I don't want to give away. I can't give away my secrets
  756. 49:51I don't want to be one of these guys that tells you exactly what's going to happen if something happens the other side knows but
  757. 49:56I'm not somebody that tells you everything because you're asking me a question, but they understand what's gonna happen and
  758. 50:03He is openly said and his people have openly said it meetings
  759. 50:07We would never do anything while President Trump is president
  760. 50:10Because they know the consequences
  761. 50:15And then no Donald try to get President Trump to slam ice
  762. 50:19He didn't take the bait clip a go
  763. 50:23Oh, we don't have enough time.
  764. 50:28I can hear the music.
  765. 50:29The clip is only 30 seconds.
  766. 50:31See, we've been ready.
  767. 50:32Maybe we'll share that with you tomorrow.
  768. 50:34They try to get President Trump to slam ICE.
  769. 50:36He said, what?
  770. 50:38No, ICE hadn't gone far enough.
  771. 50:39You know why?
  772. 50:40Because American people are sick and tired
  773. 50:42of the insanity of illegal immigration.
  774. 50:44That's why.
  775. 50:45So those elites in various media outlets may understand it.
  776. 50:48And you have all of these propaganda stories
  777. 50:51trying to turn the tide of public sentiment on this issue,
  778. 50:55the simple reality is American people feel the weight
  779. 50:58of illegal immigration on the ground.
  780. 51:01And the absorption of at least eight to 10 million people
  781. 51:04in four years is just unsustainable.
  782. 51:10The views and opinions expressed in this broadcast
