  9. 0:26Let's not miss our moment.
  10. 0:28And now, the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:33Good evening, everyone.
  12. 0:34Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio.
  13. 0:37My name is Abraham Hamilton the third.
  14. 0:40Joined by the corner contingent, right across from me,
  15. 0:44right across from me, my man 100 grand.
  16. 0:47Mr. Bobby.
  17. 0:48And in the screening room,
  18. 0:50reduce extraordinary, often imitated,
  19. 0:53but never duplicated.
  20. 0:54Y'all know the drill is the real.
  21. 0:56Jay Mac, ladies and gentlemen,
  22. 0:58we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition of the program.
  23. 1:01At this very moment, many of you,
  24. 1:03if not most of you are making your transition
  25. 1:05from your part time jobs where you generate an income
  26. 1:08to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome.
  27. 1:11Outcome cultivation is the order of the day.
  28. 1:15As you do so, I want to remind you that
  29. 1:17As you do so, I want to remind you to make this transition
  30. 1:22with intentionality, recognizing the primacy
  31. 1:24that God places on family and allowing that,
  32. 1:28allowing the primacy that God places on family
  33. 1:31to drive your engagement.
  34. 1:33There are lots of things that we can do.
  35. 1:35And I may talk about this more going forward,
  36. 1:38but I feel like one of the major things
  37. 1:40that the Lord has impressed me to continue to point out
  38. 1:43is that we must be vigilant in the civic engagement sphere,
  39. 1:48civic engagement sphere, no doubt about it,
  40. 1:51sure we need to be vigilant in other areas,
  41. 1:55but if we attend the civic engagement,
  42. 1:58and if we contend and attend to, I should say,
  43. 2:02things like fiscal responsibility,
  44. 2:03but we are not making disciples,
  45. 2:06we are missing the core of what is necessary.
  46. 2:09I've been referring quite a bit lately
  47. 2:11to John Adams' quote, you know, when he says that our Constitution of Republican form of
  48. 2:17government is wholly inadequate for the governance of any other people, but a religious and moral
  49. 2:21people.
  50. 2:22He in that same statement, in his letter to the Massachusetts militia, he says that our
  51. 2:27government is incapable, incapable of bridling human, of navigating human passion unbridled
  52. 2:38by religion and morality.
  53. 2:40He said humans with passions unbridled by religion and morality will go through our government
  54. 2:45like a whale goes through a net.
  55. 2:47That's what he said.
  56. 2:49That's what he said.
  57. 2:51And so I want you to recognize when you see Zora Momdani leading in New York City, you
  58. 2:56know, when you see these things happening, it's a reflection of a people who are no longer
  59. 3:01adequate for a constitutional Republican form of government.
  60. 3:05So then what is the answer?
  61. 3:06What is the remedy?
  62. 3:07is not to usher in a fundamental transformation of the United States of America.
  63. 3:14Sit down, Michelle. Way in the back. You all the way. All the way. You too.
  64. 3:19No, that's not the answer. The answer is that there must be boots on the ground engaging with
  65. 3:24the hearts and minds of the American people. Simply put, our form of government anticipates a robust,
  66. 3:31evangelizing and disciple making church, because without a people who are self-governed this
  67. 3:39experiment of self-government, well, it's inevitable what will transpire, because a wicked
  68. 3:46people will not endure godly governance.
  69. 3:50So we must be about our Father's business.
  70. 3:52So as you are making your transition, the most important thing you can do with your day
  71. 3:57today is to make your home a sanctuary for the presence of God, to make your home a place
  72. 4:03where the name of Jesus is exalted for your home, your dinner table, your area.
  73. 4:09I don't care how lavish or simple it may be.
  74. 4:14Let me just say this for a moment, point of personal privilege, your honor.
  75. 4:21Homes are made to be lived in.
  76. 4:23Some people want to treat their homes like museums.
  77. 4:26And I told my wife, I am far more concerned with you presenting our children with the word
  78. 4:32of God than I am concerned with you fluffing the pillows on our couch before I get home.
  79. 4:39Please, we have to keep the main thing, the main thing.
  80. 4:45All right, back on schedule.
  81. 4:49What goes on in your homes?
  82. 4:51What goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White House because
  83. 4:54there are lots of things that can be done.
  84. 4:56There are lots of things that are transpired that are vitally important, the presidents, negotiations
  85. 5:01with China and in South Korea and other nations concerning the tariffs, those things are vitally
  86. 5:06important, but they are not more important to you than what happens in your home. They're
  87. 5:10not more important to me than what happens in my home. And there's all things in my home
  88. 5:15that I am the only one who can respond to it. And you and I are accountable for what we do
  89. 5:23with the time that God has given us within the jurisdiction that God has assigned us to.
  90. 5:29All right, to the word of God we go.
  91. 5:31Proverbs chapter 17.
  92. 5:36Proverbs chapter 17.
  93. 5:38This is another point of personal privilege to start.
  94. 5:43Guys, read your Bible daily.
  95. 5:47Read your Bibles daily.
  96. 5:53The word of God should become to you
  97. 5:56as absolutely necessary as food, water, and oxygen.
  98. 6:05Read your Bibles.
  99. 6:10If we are a people who are not consistently reading the word of God,
  100. 6:16we are actively putting ourselves in a position for a lack of discernment.
  101. 6:20To say it differently,
  102. 6:21differently we're putting ourselves in a position to be easily deceived.
  103. 6:25In this era of AI, you know, I'm telling you all,
  104. 6:28I robot with all of the things that are happening,
  105. 6:32we cannot afford to be a people who lack discernment.
  106. 6:36The primary mechanism of developing discernment is feasting,
  107. 6:44on God's word and seeking the Lord through his word, not, well, I got to get a
  108. 6:52void today. I got to get a void. If I got my void, no, no, no. No, we seek our Lord
  109. 6:58through his word so that we are transformed and that we encounter him in
  110. 7:03his word. I can tell you the number of times I've read passages and read over
  111. 7:11things and I've read it 10, 20, 30, sometimes a hundred times before but that
  112. 7:18And one hundred and first time, man, the Lord opens my eyes in a way.
  113. 7:24And it just draws me once again to the reality and the conclusion that I cannot
  114. 7:30live without him.
  115. 7:32Proverbs chapter 17, one verse, Proverbs 17, 10.
  116. 7:38Proverbs 17, 10.
  117. 7:41And this is what the Lord says in his word, a rebuke goes deeper into a man of
  118. 7:47understanding than a hundred blows into a fool.
  119. 7:52You want to talk about profound.
  120. 7:57A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding
  121. 8:01than a hundred blows into a fool.
  122. 8:07The question I have for us to ponder today
  123. 8:10is are you a man of understanding or are you a fool?
  124. 8:19When we mature to becoming men and women of understanding,
  125. 8:26we grow to appreciate the efficacy of love based rebuke.
  126. 8:33from a position of immaturity.
  127. 8:37You know, when I say rebuke, let me add a couple components
  128. 8:39to this, what the proverb writer has in view
  129. 8:43is an offering of rebuke that is anchored
  130. 8:46in eternity based love, and that is articulated
  131. 8:51in the solidity of the unchangeable truth
  132. 8:56of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
  133. 8:59This is not, I'm gonna check him.
  134. 9:02I'm gonna check, hey, Bob, you say that, boy,
  135. 9:03but I'm gonna check him.
  136. 9:04Jeff, you saw that mama, sheikah. That is not what the proverb writer is talking about.
  137. 9:10The proverb writer is talking about rebuke in the same sense that the Apostle Paul talks about
  138. 9:16the enduring benefits of rebuke and reproof in 2 Timothy chapter 3. All right.
  139. 9:23So when you understand the quality of the offering that is envisioned by proverb 17 verse 10,
  140. 9:30then the query turns to, am I a man of understanding?
  141. 9:39Because there is reality, and the Hebrew writer says this
  142. 9:46in Hebrews chapter five, and in other chapters,
  143. 9:49actually in the book of Hebrews, first and foremost,
  144. 9:54the Lord loves those whom he chases or corrects.
  145. 9:59To the immature and the uninitiated, a correction
  146. 10:02can seem like a personal challenge or even a degradation.
  147. 10:08But when you mature to become a man or a woman
  148. 10:10understanding you recognize, hmm, if God is offering me this
  149. 10:14rebuke, the offering comes from a place of unfathomable love for me.
  150. 10:25The fact that God loves me so much so that he would don human flesh and
  151. 10:32take the punishment for my sin, that should recalibrate my calculus concerning
  152. 10:38his chastening concerning his rebuke.
  153. 10:40Then it puts me in a posture, what is it that the Lord is attempting to drive me toward?
  154. 10:49What is it that the Lord is attempting to shave off of me?
  155. 10:54Proverbs 17 and 10 says that a rebuke of this quality that I described previously, it goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows.
  156. 11:10I'm going to a fool.
  157. 11:13The picture for the contrasting point with the fool and how the method of attempted attention
  158. 11:20grabbing is physicality.
  159. 11:25A hundred blows, being smitten, being struck, being pummeled, to a fool the pummeling has
  160. 11:34no benefit because the only assessment is the surface level superficial reality of the pummeling.
  161. 11:43anything beyond or deeper than that, which brings me right back to the question again.
  162. 11:48Are we men of understanding or are we fools?
  163. 11:53Now to help us navigate that assessment and with the Holy Spirit being the source of introspection
  164. 11:59and evaluation.
  165. 12:02Have you ever been in a situation where God keeps teaching you the same lesson over and
  166. 12:09over and over and over and over and over and over.
  167. 12:20Have you ever been in a situation where God is teaching the same lesson through different
  168. 12:23people and different verbiage, but the same issue keeps coming up?
  169. 12:30Again, ask on that point, are we men and women of understanding or are we foolish?
  170. 12:35I used to teach a Bible study, started out with young men.
  171. 12:44If you can imagine this on Friday night in the world of Louisiana, it's a bunch of dudes.
  172. 12:48We didn't have any food.
  173. 12:49we just have the Bible. And one of the conversations we would have is from another scripture in Proverbs,
  174. 13:05he who has often reproved yet stiffens his neck will suddenly be destroyed in that without remedy.
  175. 13:13We would often say, I would often say to the brothers, you will never graduate beyond the last
  176. 13:18point of your disobedience. You'll never graduate beyond the last point of your rebellion against
  177. 13:23God because God knows because of the combination of first to sin nature.
  178. 13:33Next, the fallenness that we have.
  179. 13:35Next, the dullness that we have because when we're regenerated, we're born again,
  180. 13:40we're quickened from breathing to death into life.
  181. 13:44And the sanctification journey could largely be described as growing in maturity
  182. 13:49into the fullness of our new nature to say a differently, to learn how to live new
  183. 13:55natural, new natural as something to ponder.
  184. 14:01Are you natural? Are you new? Natural.
  185. 14:03And because of that dullness, sometimes the Lord has to communicate things to us more than once.
  186. 14:12The objective should be for us, though, to get to the place to where we mature and say,
  187. 14:21Lord, I want to become a man or a woman of understanding.
  188. 14:28And I recognize that your rebukes are love expressed to me.
  189. 14:33And I want that to penetrate deeply so that I don't have to
  190. 14:38repeat this lesson over and over and over again.
  191. 14:42So when confronted with the loving embrace of the Lord through His
  192. 14:47chest hysmes, one of the most profound things that we must do is say,
  193. 14:53Lord, show me myself through this.
  194. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  195. 15:03It is in fact relatively easy to bless others and encourage people with our
  196. 15:07words if we wisely and very deliberately seek to do so. Well, what are some words
  197. 15:14that we can speak as a lifestyle that can bless others? What are some words
  198. 15:18that can promote healing grace and encouragement in the lives of others?
  199. 15:23Well here are a few. Thank you. I appreciate you. Please, how can I help you?
  200. 15:31I'm sorry. I apologize. Please forgive me. How can I pray for you? What can I do to
  201. 15:40bless you today? You are awesome. You are a blessing. I believe in you. I believe you
  202. 15:49can do it. You will do great. And obviously these are just a few words, but words that
  203. 15:54can bless and encourage others in their daily lives.
  204. 16:00When you hear the letters AFR, there are a lot of things that could come to mind.
  205. 16:05Automotive finders resource, alligator-frying research, or the association of flying red
  206. 16:11necks.
  207. 16:12All great organizations, no doubt.
  208. 16:14But we hope the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear AFR is American Family
  209. 16:19Radio, a listener-supported network dedicated to sharing the gospel and promoting godly
  210. 16:24values.
  211. 16:25God expects maturity.
  212. 16:29You should not be comfortable living with habitual sins.
  213. 16:34So that's a news cycle item.
  214. 16:37Is it the top news story to God?
  215. 16:39No, because he warned us about all of this.
  216. 16:41Now I don't care how nice you think you are.
  217. 16:46If you're not telling someone the truth,
  218. 16:49you're not being loving to them.
  219. 16:51Make no mistake, we're not anglers from Red Bay,
  220. 16:54but we are AFR, American Family Radio.
  221. 16:58and we're happy you're listening.
  222. 17:05Shining light into the darkness,
  223. 17:07this is the Hamilton Corner, an American family radio.
  224. 17:11Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner,
  225. 17:13Abraham Hamilton III here.
  226. 17:16I'm gonna do something today I haven't done in a while.
  227. 17:19In the third segment, we're gonna open the phone lines.
  228. 17:22And I want to invite you to weigh in on this
  229. 17:26shut down craziness in your assessment of it.
  230. 17:30So I wanted to prepare you for that,
  231. 17:32That's which is why I'm announcing it now
  232. 17:35Because I'd just been man that clock is so disrespectful and I would have it in my heart to get to the calls and
  233. 17:42They all know what happens
  234. 17:44But we're gonna try it. We're gonna do it today
  235. 17:47So in case you forgotten what the number is I know we'll see like I haven't forgotten it
  236. 17:51But I still have it right here. I have it on speed dial the number is 888 589 884 0
  237. 17:58That number is 888 589 884 0 now that will be in the third segment
  238. 18:03But right now we're in the second segment.
  239. 18:07So let's commence the weaving with some of the,
  240. 18:09some of the foolishness, some of it is not so much foolishness,
  241. 18:14but you do have some foolishness, the jure.
  242. 18:18And one of the things that's happening is,
  243. 18:22some of you know this, and I hope to get to this in a moment,
  244. 18:24but CBS News has acquired the free press, right?
  245. 18:30So many of you, some of you may be aware of it.
  246. 18:32I use the free press as one of my sources for show prep.
  247. 18:38And the free press is the media company
  248. 18:41that was founded by Barry Weiss,
  249. 18:44who was a former opinion editor at the New York Times.
  250. 18:48And some of you may recall, she left the New York Times
  251. 18:50in 2020, I believe, 2021.
  252. 18:53And she wrote an extensive letter
  253. 18:57and she published a letter and said basically,
  254. 19:00The New York Times does not embrace diversity of thought.
  255. 19:04If you have an opinion that varies from the accepted narrative
  256. 19:09in the institution, then you are bullied,
  257. 19:12and you are intimidated, and you are harassed,
  258. 19:16and basically extricated ultimately from the places.
  259. 19:22She left the New York Times, started her own outfit
  260. 19:24at the Free Press, which is a subscription media company.
  261. 19:29I don't pay for the subscription though.
  262. 19:31I just get the stuff they put up,
  263. 19:33but that's not behind the paywall.
  264. 19:36But they do a good job.
  265. 19:37And I think Barry Weiss comes from a tradition
  266. 19:42of actual journalistic integrity.
  267. 19:45The Free Press of course, I don't know
  268. 19:46if everything they published,
  269. 19:48but they had some sound journalistic offerings there.
  270. 19:51Well, Paramount, the parent company for CBS,
  271. 19:55purchased the Free Press and in the process
  272. 19:59named Barry Weiss as the new editor in chief for CBS News.
  273. 20:05And I'm not going to a clip yet, don't worry about it.
  274. 20:07I'm just setting this up because I think Barry Weiss's
  275. 20:11new position as editor in chief is CBS
  276. 20:14is sending shockwaves across the media landscape
  277. 20:18and all of a sudden, all of a sudden,
  278. 20:19here we are day 29 of the government shutdown.
  279. 20:23This is literally six days away from tying the record
  280. 20:27for the longest government shutdown
  281. 20:28in American history.
  282. 20:30I presented the question to this audience early on.
  283. 20:35Why isn't the government shutdown the biggest news story?
  284. 20:38Why aren't we talking about this
  285. 20:40the same way we talk about it?
  286. 20:41Oh, let me see it better.
  287. 20:42The same way they talk about it
  288. 20:45when they try to come up with some narrative
  289. 20:47to try to pin the shutdown and the reasons
  290. 20:49for it all on Republicans.
  291. 20:50And I made the point that it's because it's clear
  292. 20:53objectively the issue here is only a Democrat issue.
  293. 20:59It's the Democrats who passed Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, which now
  294. 21:05to Washington Post all of a sudden is admitting, no, it's not affordable. And this is what they
  295. 21:09added, Bobby. It never was affordable. Now, you and I know that on this show, we talked,
  296. 21:16we've talked about that, but the Washington Post spent the previous decade ever since,
  297. 21:24you know, Barack and Michelle wanted to get the Obamacare act, no Obamacare passed.
  298. 21:31They just talking about how wonderful it was and how always great is compassion
  299. 21:35and all that and now they're watching the votes today. It's not affordable. It never was affordable.
  300. 21:39So the Democrats passed Obamacare with no Republican votes, not a one. Then you had
  301. 21:47Schmovitz response. You had the, you know, the American, what was it called? The Restoration Act,
  302. 21:55passed without Republican votes. Then you had the Inflation Reduction Act, passed without Republican
  303. 22:00votes. And I told you before the Inflation Reduction Act had nothing to do with reducing inflation.
  304. 22:05It was a green new scam just paper with a new name and included in it was the expansion of
  305. 22:11Obamacare subsidies. The bottom line of Obamacare was because you had many of the very very Bernie
  306. 22:17Sanders, he said, we need single payer healthcare in America single payer. So our healthcare system
  307. 22:24to be as terrible as candidates. Have you ever noticed how most people from Britain, they look
  308. 22:31like they need braces? I'm not trying to shade them. I'm not trying to shade them, but it's because
  309. 22:37of that single-payer health care. They don't, the single-payer doesn't pay for people to get their teeth
  310. 22:43fixed in Britain. That's why, if you ever wondered, that's why. That's not a spleen, that's not a heart
  311. 22:50brick and that's not a heart stoppage. Nah, you can't get your teeth fixed, chief. And guess what?
  312. 22:56They have no alternative to go to if they want to get their teeth fixed, they have to leave England,
  313. 23:00leave Britain. So getting back to this whole situation, the Obamacare was passed, no Republican
  314. 23:09against votes, American Restoration Act,
  315. 23:11the inflation reduction act passed
  316. 23:12with no Republican votes.
  317. 23:15And guess what?
  318. 23:16In the inflation reduction act,
  319. 23:17it was the Democrats who passed the bill
  320. 23:19that set the sunset date
  321. 23:22for the expanded,
  322. 23:23the enhanced Obamacare subsidies.
  323. 23:26The subsidies are the taxpayers,
  324. 23:30portions of paying for health insurers,
  325. 23:33for people who are deemed to have lower moderate incomes.
  326. 23:37So the Democrats are the ones who passed the bill,
  327. 23:39they could have passed the bill
  328. 23:40to have a latest sunset provision, but they didn't do so.
  329. 23:45And now, when Republicans have regained majorities
  330. 23:48in both houses of Congress and the presidency,
  331. 23:50and they passed a one big beautiful bill,
  332. 23:52and in doing so, they refuse to extend Obamacare subsidies,
  333. 23:59and the government remaining open
  334. 24:01is just a basic funding bill that was passed by
  335. 24:05the House of Representatives that included
  336. 24:07no additional Republican priorities
  337. 24:10and no additional Democrat priorities,
  338. 24:12But the Democrats in the United States Senate said,
  339. 24:16no, we're not gonna pass it.
  340. 24:17And the Democrats in the US House of Representatives
  341. 24:19didn't want to vote for it.
  342. 24:21So you literally have Obamacare
  343. 24:23in the establishment of the subsidies originally,
  344. 24:25passed by Democrats.
  345. 24:26The expansion of the subsidies,
  346. 24:28increasing the amount of money that the taxpayer will pay
  347. 24:31per individual Obamacare participant,
  348. 24:35including the sunset date, all passed by Democrats.
  349. 24:38And now Democrats are saying,
  350. 24:40No, we don't like the bills that we passed previously.
  351. 24:42So until you Republicans agree to our additional policy concerns,
  352. 24:46other than basic funding in the government,
  353. 24:48then we're not going to agree to this basic government funding
  354. 24:50measure.
  355. 24:51That's literally where we are.
  356. 24:53So for the previous 20 days or so with the shutdown,
  357. 24:56you can hear an area of people of this conversation publicly.
  358. 25:00But now that the shutdown is lingered on,
  359. 25:03you're starting to see something change.
  360. 25:06I'll take you through the last three days very quickly.
  361. 25:09First Monday, CNN's.
  362. 25:16Yeah, that's right.
  363. 25:17This literally is the Democrats playing with Obamacare.
  364. 25:21Let me just tell you, and now,
  365. 25:22by some who may not know, this has been the plan all along.
  366. 25:25Obamacare was created to fail in the first place, by the way.
  367. 25:29It was never affordable, as the Washington Post now
  368. 25:31has conveniently decided to say some 20-some-a-year later.
  369. 25:33Welcome to the party, I'll know you're late.
  370. 25:35It was like, you go into the party,
  371. 25:36the DJ at Arden had stopped the music playing
  372. 25:37and the lights are all on, and there ain't nobody in the room.
  373. 25:40But you coming in, hey.
  374. 25:42We had to get down.
  375. 25:45That's what the watch in the post is.
  376. 25:47They not coming to the party late.
  377. 25:49The party literally has ended a long time ago
  378. 25:51and now they want pop and lock, you know?
  379. 25:54That's where they are.
  380. 25:55But Obamacare was created to fail in the first place
  381. 25:57because it was always meant to be a stop,
  382. 25:59an intermediary or an intermediate measure
  383. 26:02in route to single payer.
  384. 26:04That's what it meant.
  385. 26:05It's meant to be revealed.
  386. 26:08College, gee, I'm so surprised.
  387. 26:10You know what Bobby actually is unaffordable.
  388. 26:12So guess what we need to do now?
  389. 26:14That's why the Democrats are saying,
  390. 26:15we have to pay for, we need more subsidies.
  391. 26:20Or single payer, Marty, single payer is available.
  392. 26:25But now the tide is turning.
  393. 26:27Even CNN is getting in on the conversation.
  394. 26:29So Monday night, Jasmine Crockett from Texas, oh Lord.
  395. 26:35She was on CNN with Caitlin Collins.
  396. 26:39And they were having a conversation
  397. 26:41and Jasmine Crockett straight up lied
  398. 26:44right there on TV.
  399. 26:46Usually those kind of lies go unchecked.
  400. 26:48And you have a nod and, yeah, thank you,
  401. 26:50Congressman, for coming on the show.
  402. 26:52Not this time.
  403. 26:56Caitlin Collins said, wait a minute, old Jasmine.
  404. 26:58Jasi, not fresh.
  405. 27:04You said President Trump, his priority is on the ballroom.
  406. 27:08When Caroline Levitt said,
  407. 27:10President Trump's priority is on the ballroom,
  408. 27:13he wasn't talking about not paying attention
  409. 27:14to the shutdown.
  410. 27:16She was specifically asked a question
  411. 27:18about renovation plans.
  412. 27:21to which Caroline Levers said the president's priority concerning renovation plans is on the ballroom.
  413. 27:26You're lying, Jasmine. Listen to this for yourself and watch.
  414. 27:32Kaitlyn Collins, check.
  415. 27:35Order to flow from our first segment, rebuke Jasmine Crockett on live television.
  416. 27:41Listen to and watch clip number four, clip four. Go.
  417. 27:45Do you believe this will be the week that Congress comes to an agreement here?
  418. 27:49I have no idea.
  419. 27:52I mean, you started off talking about the fact that the president is in Japan.
  420. 27:57The president has time to do everything but what he needs to focus on.
  421. 28:01In fact, we heard the press secretary say that his main priority is the ballroom, the
  422. 28:06ballroom that no one asks for, the ballroom that requires him to destroy historic pieces
  423. 28:14of the White House.
  424. 28:15And so it doesn't seem like he's interested.
  425. 28:17And that context of the comment from Caroline Levitt,
  426. 28:21she was asked if the president was working
  427. 28:22on any other renovations when it came to the White House
  428. 28:25and she was saying his focus was the ballroom.
  429. 28:27But to your point about what the president said.
  430. 28:31You heard that?
  431. 28:32This is what I'm gonna play the clip from Caroline Levitt,
  432. 28:35what you can hear it for yourself.
  433. 28:37But how many times have you heard CNN check a Democrat
  434. 28:41elected official on national TV?
  435. 28:43That's the thing that caught me.
  436. 28:44I was like, whoa, I'm used to them lying.
  437. 28:48That ain't new, what's new is the Crescent News Network
  438. 28:54said, huh?
  439. 28:57You know that's not the context.
  440. 28:59Now here's the thing, and I'm gonna play the clip,
  441. 29:01man, this clock is moving fast today.
  442. 29:03If you have somebody that's so willing to lie like that,
  443. 29:05how do you trust them?
  444. 29:08Do you think Jasmine Crockett was unaware of the context
  445. 29:12that the president is focused on the ballroom renovations?
  446. 29:16Do you think she was unaware of the context
  447. 29:18that that statement was made in?
  448. 29:19Or do you think she's depending upon two things?
  449. 29:23One, that the Crescent News Network is her ace,
  450. 29:27Bunkoon, her home girl, a home boy.
  451. 29:30They're gonna support anything she does.
  452. 29:31And two, to depend upon the ignorance
  453. 29:33of the American people.
  454. 29:36So she can say, yeah, she, while people are facing
  455. 29:40or cutting off of their snap benefits,
  456. 29:42the president is focused on his billion,
  457. 29:45his $100 million ballroom renovations.
  458. 29:50Listen to, this is the clip of Caroline Levitt
  459. 29:53when she's asking that question,
  460. 29:54and it's clear that the statement
  461. 29:56that the president is focused on the ballroom
  462. 29:58was specifically in response to a question
  463. 30:00about his renovation priorities.
  464. 30:03Listen to it, watch it, clip five, go.
  465. 30:06Go ahead.
  466. 30:07Thank you, Caroline.
  467. 30:08Thank you.
  468. 30:09Thank you.
  469. 30:09Thank you.
  470. 30:10Thank you.
  471. 30:11Thank you.
  472. 30:12I'm going to the back. Sorry.
  473. 30:13In addition to the ballroom in the Rose Garden patio,
  474. 30:14is the president looking at any other renovations
  475. 30:16or significant kind of projects here at the White House?
  476. 30:19not to my knowledge, no, but he's a builder at heart clearly.
  477. 30:23And so his heart and his mind is always churning
  478. 30:26about how to improve things here on the White House grounds.
  479. 30:28But at this moment in time, of course,
  480. 30:30the ballroom is really the president's main priority.
  481. 30:36Can it be the more clear?
  482. 30:38At this present time, concerning White House renovations,
  483. 30:41the ballroom is the president's main priority.
  484. 30:43He wasn't talking about not being focused on the shutdown.
  485. 30:51But you see, people like Crocodile used to lying like that
  486. 30:53and not being checked.
  487. 30:57And so when the lies are administered unchecked,
  488. 31:00that's how you have friends and family members
  489. 31:01who run around, you problem some of you saying,
  490. 31:03you know, I can't trust the president
  491. 31:05and shut down, because just the other day,
  492. 31:07he said his priority is the ballroom.
  493. 31:11I don't know what you're talking about then, Bobby.
  494. 31:13You know, the president don't care about American people.
  495. 31:16Why you crazy?
  496. 31:18The president said his priority is the ballroom.
  497. 31:21I heard that McRocky said herself.
  498. 31:25She was lying, not only, why are you crying?
  499. 31:28Why are you lying the very next day?
  500. 31:34That wasn't the only one.
  501. 31:36Well, I gotta get this in.
  502. 31:37Do I have enough time?
  503. 31:39Ruben Gallego, I don't have enough time?
  504. 31:42Six, probably not.
  505. 31:45I'll set it up then.
  506. 31:47Look at them, the y'all just see Jeff and Bobby,
  507. 31:48look at me.
  508. 31:53They're looking like disappointed parents in the stands,
  509. 31:56watching their son trying to get the spelling bee
  510. 31:58and then they're in the final round
  511. 31:59and then they misspell able-crombie.
  512. 32:04I said, that's, y'all should have saw him bolt on cue.
  513. 32:07I'm saying, I have enough time there like this.
  514. 32:10I'll set it up.
  515. 32:11Cassie Hunt was interviewing Congressman Ruben Gaiago
  516. 32:15from Arizona.
  517. 32:17Ruben Gaiago was asked about the shutdown.
  518. 32:22He offers this week's sauce answer.
  519. 32:25Then Cassie Hunt leans in.
  520. 32:28Now, wait a minute, Ruben, I've been covering the White House
  521. 32:30for quite some time in the consistent position of all parties.
  522. 32:35In fact, the Democrats cried bloody murder
  523. 32:38if they thought Republicans would do anything like this
  524. 32:40because the conventional understanding
  525. 32:43is that the party's debate policy
  526. 32:46and the party in the House members,
  527. 32:48in the Congress members debate policy
  528. 32:52not doing a government shutdown,
  529. 32:54that's not the time to debate policy.
  530. 32:56The consistent function has always been.
  531. 33:01We get the basic fundamentals of the government
  532. 33:05running through appropriations, and then we debate policy
  533. 33:09in a circumstance where nobody is under the gun
  534. 33:11where the government being shut down.
  535. 33:13That has been the Democrats position up until now.
  536. 33:17How do you embrace this hypocrisy?
  537. 33:20Can't believe Cassie Hill asked that question.
  538. 33:23Not because I don't think it's an appropriate question.
  539. 33:25It certainly is an appropriate question,
  540. 33:27but I'm just not used to seeing the Crescent News Network
  541. 33:32ask those kind of things.
  542. 33:34And then if you thought it was just that one question,
  543. 33:38She leaned in on that.
  544. 33:40We'll get to that on the other side of the break,
  545. 33:42and we will open the phone lines as well.
  546. 33:44The question I wanna ask you is how are you processing
  547. 33:48this government shutdown, the current government shutdown?
  548. 33:51The number to call is 888-589-8840.
  549. 33:55That number is 888-589-8840.
  550. 33:59More Hamilton Corner when we get back from this break.

  562. 34:56God's way of getting your attention.
  563. 34:58On the next, we have our hearts with Nancy DeMoss-Waldamuth.
  564. 35:01Is the ceasefire a setup?
  565. 35:10This is David Wheaton, host of the Christian Royal View.
  566. 35:13President Trump recently brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
  567. 35:18But will this only give Hamas the opportunity to rebuild as Iran is doing now?
  568. 35:23Meanwhile, President Trump wants the Abraham Accord signed by Israel in longtime Arab enemies.
  569. 35:29Plus, there is a strong push for a Palestinian state.
  570. 35:32All these dynamics may be setting the stage for the future invasion of Israel by a coalition of enemies prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39,
  571. 35:41where God miraculously rescues them saying,
  572. 35:43the House of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God from that day onward.
  573. 35:49Here most recent program on this topic with geopolitical analyst,
  574. 35:52Soren Kern, at TheChristianWorldView.org
  575. 35:55and then tune in this weekend as we discuss whether the UK has reached a societal tipping point.
  576. 36:01Listen to The Christian World View with David Wheaton,
  577. 36:03Saturday mornings at 8 Central on American Family Radio.
  578. 36:15are available at AFR.net.
  579. 36:17Back to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
  580. 36:22Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner, Abraham Hamilton III here.
  581. 36:27We will open the phone lines this segment 888 589 8840 is the number to call 888 589 8840 is the number to call.
  582. 36:41I want to know where you are, how are you processing this government shutdown, but I want to continue as promised as a cause are lining up to get to this conversation between Cassie Hunt and Ruman Gallegos. It's amazing. Then I'll tell you just to let you know where we're going.
  583. 36:59Then as recently as last night, Jake Tapper couldn't believe it.
  584. 37:04Jake the snake.
  585. 37:06Jake the snake.
  586. 37:08I can't believe it.
  587. 37:10They lied to us about Biden's mental decline.
  588. 37:14You're like home alone as Jake the snake.
  589. 37:18Boy, that boy is a liar.
  590. 37:20He went in on another Congresswoman saying
  591. 37:22some of the same foolishness.
  592. 37:23Ruben Gallego's first.
  593. 37:25All right, listen to, getting this set it up.
  594. 37:29Ask about the current shutdown.
  595. 37:31Didn't Democrats used to add a buy by the notion
  596. 37:33we address policy issues outside of a shutdown context?
  597. 37:38That's not when we talk policy.
  598. 37:40When the shutdown context, we just talk about
  599. 37:43what's necessary to get the government reopened.
  600. 37:45What happened, Ruben?
  601. 37:47All right, listen to and watch.
  602. 37:48Clip number six, clip six, go.
  603. 37:51I think my question is this.
  604. 37:52I mean, I take your point about these millions of people.
  605. 37:55The cost of living is incredibly high.
  606. 37:57But also, Republicans control the White House.
  607. 38:01They control the Senate.
  608. 38:02they control the house and in the past democrats when republicans have tried to
  609. 38:06do something like this democrats have argued
  610. 38:08that the norms of our government should be
  611. 38:11that you negotiate policy outside of a government shutdown i mean i have i have
  612. 38:15over many years covering washington people said that over and over and over
  613. 38:19again and now i have neighbors in the d c area
  614. 38:22who are both employed by the federal government who are having to use food
  615. 38:25banks we are heading into thanksgiving
  616. 38:27why is it suddenly right to do it this way
  617. 38:30And to do it for this long, when it didn't use to be the right way in Democrats' view.
  618. 38:35Well, that's the easy answer.
  619. 38:37It's Donald Trump.
  620. 38:38You're talking about norms and the time of Donald Trump.
  621. 38:40It's also normal not for you to carry down the media.
  622. 38:42But Democrats have spent so much time arguing about how maintaining those norms is actually
  623. 38:46incredibly important in the face of Donald Trump.
  624. 38:48It's all out the window.
  625. 38:49It's all out the window, Casey.
  626. 38:50No.
  627. 38:51When you're doing that time with Donald Trump, this is the man that is like extorting people.
  628. 38:54He's literally breaking every rules.
  629. 38:57We're not going to go back and play by the norms when we know that what's online.
  630. 39:00on the line is 24 million people are going to have their insurance rates
  631. 39:04pre-unions doubled. That's a new thing by the way. And the fact is the president
  632. 39:08and everyone expects us to play by these war. When people are going to build our youth
  633. 39:13past though that these subsidies were going to expire? When we passed the bills
  634. 39:20and back in the day as part of the inflation reduction act of course we were
  635. 39:22trying to you know maybe hope for the best that this country and our Republican
  636. 39:26colleagues would understand that raising insurance rates on people is a bad thing.
  637. 39:31I'm sorry they don't see it that way, but it's also not my job to make their job easier.
  638. 39:35My job is to make sure that the premiums of 24 million Americans does not double overnight.
  639. 39:40And if it makes it harder on the Republicans that were putting them in a very difficult
  640. 39:44position, that they have to answer for that.
  641. 39:46And hopefully it actually comes with a good outcome, which is America is not having to
  642. 39:50pay higher premiums.
  643. 39:51Then that's good.
  644. 39:52But I'm not going to abide by old norms, especially when you're dealing with this presidency,
  645. 39:56this administration, and how the Republicans themselves have been acting.
  646. 40:00Now I play that whole thing because I wanted you guys to get the full context all right to show that I'm not taking anything
  647. 40:07In a context here. I'm not pulling the Jasmine Crockett
  648. 40:11But did you see his face for those of you who are able to watch the show did you see Ruma Gallego's his face?
  649. 40:17When he tried to say you know it premiums for health insurance have doubled by that have doubled and that is new when
  650. 40:24Cassie Hunt said didn't you Democrats set that up though? Didn't y'all pass the bill for these things to expire?
  651. 40:30Did you see his face?
  652. 40:31He was not expecting that kind of question.
  653. 40:35I want to play the clip again and watch
  654. 40:37for that part of the conversation.
  655. 40:39You can tell how surprised Ruma Gaiegos is.
  656. 40:43He's like, wait a minute, I thought I was on CNN.
  657. 40:45I didn't sign up for that.
  658. 40:47I was just complaining about the premiums increasing.
  659. 40:50I didn't want anybody to point out for the American people
  660. 40:52that we are causing the premiums to increase,
  661. 40:54that we passed legislation that included the sunset
  662. 40:57with expanded subsidies, that was all of these things
  663. 41:00that are happening that I'm trying to lie and say these are caused by the Republicans.
  664. 41:04We actually did this.
  665. 41:06So when Cassie Young says, did y'all do that?
  666. 41:08You saw his face?
  667. 41:09He went, uh, he's tampered.
  668. 41:12He's tampered.
  669. 41:13He's tampered.
  670. 41:14He's tampered.
  671. 41:15Then he got back to his talking point, not even addressing what she said.
  672. 41:18He had to admit, well, yeah, we did pass the bill and yeah.
  673. 41:23Oh, 24 million Americans.
  674. 41:27Watch it again.
  675. 41:28And I'm not going to play the whole thing, but I'm going to play it up to that point because
  676. 41:29I want you all to see up to the point to where she asked the question.
  677. 41:36Didn't you Democrats pass this bill and set these subsidies to expire?
  678. 41:41All right.
  679. 41:41So that is, let me get back on my rundown here.
  680. 41:44Clip six, clip six, go.
  681. 41:48When we pass the bills and back in the day as part of the inflation reduction,
  682. 41:51go back a little bit further before you get to that.
  683. 41:54It's a little bit because I want to, I want to set it up with her question.
  684. 41:57Breaking every rules.
  685. 41:58We're not going to go back and play by the norms when we know that what's online.
  686. 42:01What's on the line is 24 million people are going to have their insurance rates
  687. 42:05premiums doubled that's a new thing by the way and the fact is the president and everyone expects us to play by these
  688. 42:11But didn't Democrats kind of step out of the building?
  689. 42:13When people are going to build our new past though that these subsidies were going to expire?
  690. 42:19When we passed the bills and back in the day as part of the equation reduction
  691. 42:23I think of course we were trying to make hope for the best.
  692. 42:27That boy was shocked that boy was shocked. So just a brief recap dude didn't the Democrats say the norm is
  693. 42:34Policy after the government is shut down.
  694. 42:38What's this response to that question?
  695. 42:39We hate Donald Trump.
  696. 42:41Orange Man Bad, there's no substantive response.
  697. 42:43You know what, the norms are only normals
  698. 42:45as long as we say they're normal.
  699. 42:46When we don't like them being normal,
  700. 42:48we don't want them to be normal anymore.
  701. 42:49So yeah, though, we usually don't want to debate policy
  702. 42:52during a shutdown.
  703. 42:53We're going to debate policy during this shutdown
  704. 42:56because I have no other answer other than
  705. 42:58Trump-Dorainzmann-Drum, that's my only response.
  706. 43:02That's like when a parent has a child,
  707. 43:05Son, why did you jump in the water puddle because because what because
  708. 43:13Son because not answer. Uh-huh answer
  709. 43:17Because no you responded, but that's not an answer
  710. 43:23So why are you breaking norms now Trump?
  711. 43:25Okay, and no because Trump
  712. 43:28Well, why well health insurance up to this going health insurance premiums double didn't y'all do that um
  713. 43:3624 million man go sit down somewhere
  714. 43:39Guys, this is very interesting. I'll give you one more than we'll get to the phone lines
  715. 43:43Jake Tapper.
  716. 43:44Can't believe it.
  717. 43:45Jake the Snake.
  718. 43:47He took on a Congresswoman from New Mexico.
  719. 43:51Couldn't believe it.
  720. 43:53Jake the Snake.
  721. 43:54Conversely, with Melanie Stansberry from New Mexico,
  722. 43:57he straight upset.
  723. 43:58Well, didn't the Democrats cause this shutdown?
  724. 44:00She tried to say it.
  725. 44:01No, he didn't.
  726. 44:02Jake says, yes, you did.
  727. 44:03Listen to and watch clip three, clip three, go.
  728. 44:06Share the Democratic senators from New Mexico,
  729. 44:08your home state vote to open the government
  730. 44:10so that these snap funds are not at risk.
  731. 44:14Let me be clear. The administration is choosing to starve American children with money that they already have appropriate.
  732. 44:27I'm not applauding their tactics. This is a choice by the White House.
  733. 44:34This is also a choice by Senate Democrats to not vote to open the government.
  734. 44:40I understand why they're doing it.
  735. 44:42They're doing it because they want Medicaid funds restored.
  736. 44:44They're doing it because they want Obamacare premiums
  737. 44:48to be extended past the end of the year.
  738. 44:50I understand the reasoning.
  739. 44:51Let me just be clear.
  740. 44:53The money for contingency plans is sitting there.
  741. 44:56That is why the states are suing.
  742. 44:58The White House is withholding funds
  743. 45:00for children to have food.
  744. 45:01Two to three weeks worth of staff funds.
  745. 45:02Yeah.
  746. 45:03It may not be a big deal to you,
  747. 45:05but let's say that's where the grandparents,
  748. 45:07for grants and events.
  749. 45:09the
  750. 45:11children.
  751. 45:12My point is that it's a short-term solution.
  752. 45:13It's a short-term.
  753. 45:14It's a short-term.
  754. 45:15At the end of the day, people need to be able to feed their families.
  755. 45:19And Saturday is when those funds run out.
  756. 45:21And we are fighting to get that vaccine.
  757. 45:23Why not ask the Senate Democrats from New Mexico to vote to open the government?
  758. 45:28Why not get them to vote to open the government?
  759. 45:31Why not get them to open the government?
  760. 45:34You know, and as is this happening, you know, I am mindful of the fact that they are real
  761. 45:38people that are being impacted by this, you know, which is why it's so egregious what's
  762. 45:45happening here because it's literally paying politics.
  763. 45:48These guys are attempting and y'all know I'm an equal to opportunity truth teller.
  764. 45:52If the Republicans are doing stuff that's messed up, I'm going to call it out.
  765. 45:57But in this, in this instance, this literally is a Democrat shutdown.
  766. 46:01You had a clean CR pass in the house and you guys know I don't like CRs.
  767. 46:06But a shutdown is not the time to debate policy.
  768. 46:08See, and here's the thing, Obama said it,
  769. 46:11elections have consequences.
  770. 46:12You have Republican majorities in the House and Senate,
  771. 46:14even though there's slim majorities,
  772. 46:16more slim in the House than the Senate,
  773. 46:18in terms of ratio, but you can't get mad
  774. 46:21that the big, beautiful bill was passed
  775. 46:22and you, jokers, when you had the authority,
  776. 46:24you set the Obamacare expanded subsidies to expire.
  777. 46:28So the doubling premiums are what you have caused.
  778. 46:32That's, you've caused it.
  779. 46:36But there are real people that are being impacted by this.
  780. 46:41And so as usual, we should be as Americans, that if you have neighbors that are impacted
  781. 46:46by this, they have, you know, reduction in funds or whatever.
  782. 46:50And I'm not talking about people that are abusing the social welfare system.
  783. 46:55People that say my lifestyle is EBT, in their able-bodied people, they're in their right
  784. 47:00minds, they're just lazy.
  785. 47:01I'm not talking about that.
  786. 47:02I'm talking about military service members and others that are diligent and effective neighbors
  787. 47:09and citizens, but they're caught in the cross here, so to speak, of this political quagmire.
  788. 47:16To the phone lines, we go, we'll start in Ohio, where Mark is on the line.
  789. 47:19Mark, thank you for calling the Hamilton Corner.
  790. 47:21Welcome to the program.
  791. 47:22Thank you very much for having me on.
  792. 47:25I greatly appreciate it.
  793. 47:28And I enjoy listening, and it's an honor to be on.
  794. 47:33I am a father of six.
  795. 47:36I am married with six kids, single family income.
  796. 47:41And honestly, this is affecting me
  797. 47:46because we have to get our food with our food.
  798. 47:53My wife is like going crazy.
  799. 47:57She's a saint.
  800. 48:02I have to admit, you know, she's at home dealing with kids.
  801. 48:06They're in Catholic school, except for the two youngers,
  802. 48:10but I mean, she has to deal with them on a regular.
  803. 48:15And the way that I see it, you know,
  804. 48:19they need to put up or shut up, to be honest with you.
  805. 48:23And if I can't get my, you know, what I might need,
  806. 48:29what I might need, then maybe they shouldn't get what they need.
  807. 48:33And I believe in term limits as well.
  808. 48:35Quick question, Mark.
  809. 48:37Are you a member of a local church where you are?
  810. 48:40And does your church know what you guys are facing?
  811. 48:43Yeah, yeah.
  812. 48:44We are.
  813. 48:45And my wife has been researching some food banks
  814. 48:49that can be helpful.
  815. 48:51And we definitely have friends, actually,
  816. 48:56I had told my boss at work what's going on and she did a little bit of help with it,
  817. 49:04but it's difficult.
  818. 49:07And I'm probably a little better off than some, but honestly, I know.
  819. 49:19And as soon as I can get back to where I don't need it,
  820. 49:23then it's going back to people who do.
  821. 49:27Mark, thank you for your calling your comments.
  822. 49:28I pray to the Lord meet you in this difficult time.
  823. 49:31And also I would wholeheartedly encourage you
  824. 49:33to lean on your local family for believers.
  825. 49:35That's what the church is there for.
  826. 49:37That's what I would encourage for those
  827. 49:38who I am close to as well,
  828. 49:40to be able to navigate this quagmire
  829. 49:43that is a temporary circumstance.
  830. 49:45We'll go next to Texas where Jerry is on the line.
  831. 49:47Jerry, thank you for calling the Hamilton Corner.
  832. 49:49Go right ahead.
  833. 49:51Yeah, two things real quick.
  834. 49:53One is I'm affected as well.
  835. 49:54I'm a retired military veteran.
  836. 49:56And so come, you know, whenever things
  837. 49:58is ended, no VA benefits, 60%, you know, disability, no retirement
  838. 50:04benefit until they get this figured out.
  839. 50:06I've been blessed not to have to rely solely on that.
  840. 50:09I do have other income coming in.
  841. 50:11We are blessed in many ways.
  842. 50:12Again, we're being affected.
  843. 50:14However, the problem in my opinion is that the government schools don't educate the children
  844. 50:19they indoctrinate in because the people that listen and understand government that were homeschooled
  845. 50:25or have good parents that are the cycle and know that the Democrats aren't voting to end
  846. 50:31the stupid filibuster.
  847. 50:32So they say it's the Republicans because they won't come to the table, but the Democrats won't
  848. 50:36vote to end the filibuster or culture or whatever the term is so that they can go and vote
  849. 50:41on it.
  850. 50:42the problem. You're getting a government school in Dr.
  851. 50:47Nation through what people call public school and I don't even
  852. 50:50use the term. I wish AFR would use government school more
  853. 50:53often. Thank you. I had to be right there. You can hear the
  854. 50:56disrespectful music to explain what Jerry is saying. He's
  855. 50:59absolutely right. The House plastic, past the clean CR,
  856. 51:02there are 53 Republicans in the Senate. The Senate needs 60
  857. 51:05votes to invoke cloture so that the Senate can vote on the CR that
  858. 51:09the House passed. So the Republicans literally only need four or five, no, seven, you need
  859. 51:17seven Democrats to join them. You are resized at four or five because there already been
  860. 51:21two Democrats. There are already two Democrats who said they'll vote with Republicans to pass
  861. 51:26the clean CR. So you really only need like about five more Democrats to join the Republicans
  862. 51:31to pass the bill. So when this is described as a Democrat shutdown, that literally is
  863. 51:36what it is. Don't let anybody tell you anything otherwise that is exactly what this is.
