  10. 0:29and now the Hamilton Corner.
  11. 0:34Well, good evening.
  12. 0:35Alex McFarland here.
  13. 0:36Very honored to be sitting in for attorney, pastor, broadcaster Abe Hamilton III.
  14. 0:43We've got a great show tonight.
  15. 0:45We're going to be talking about Israel.
  16. 0:47And we're going to meet the producer of a documentary film on why stand with Israel.
  17. 0:52And there's just a lot of accolades and things we could say about that film.
  18. 0:57So you'll meet Brian Sanders in just a moment.
  19. 0:59I want to welcome you. I've got the great privilege of being on the Hamilton corner,
  20. 1:04kind of frequently. And by the way, this week, as Abe Hamilton is doing some traveling,
  21. 1:09later on in the week, we've got an interview with Christian Briggs, who's an economist and
  22. 1:16is a consultant to the Trump White House about tariffs, what do tariffs mean, what about the
  23. 1:21state of the economy. A lot of good content this week on the Hamilton corner and tonight is no
  24. 1:28exception. By the way, if you recognize my voice, such as it is, my southern voice, you
  25. 1:35might have heard me on a show called Exploring the Word that we do live five days a week on
  26. 1:41the American Family Radio Network, four to five Eastern time and in the time zone of your
  27. 1:46choice. Bert Harper and I on Exploring the Word have been teaching the Bible for a lot
  28. 1:52of years. And it's a great privilege to sit in on the Hamilton corner and talk about
  29. 1:57issues from a biblical perspective. And so I want to queue up the guests that we've got,
  30. 2:04and I'm going to throw out a number. And the number is 16. And you say, well, what is that
  31. 2:10about? 16 awards. I'm on the page, why stand with Israel.com. And I will tell you, I've interviewed
  32. 2:21people that have done a lot of projects, been a part of a lot of video and audio and publishing
  33. 2:27projects myself and the documentary film
  34. 2:32inspiring the global church to stand more
  35. 2:35with the apple of God's eye. Oh these awards just
  36. 2:39on and on film festival after film festival
  37. 2:43after competition after so many things
  38. 2:48around the world. This documentary has one
  39. 2:52that I can see 16 major film
  40. 2:56awards. The accolades are just incredible. So we're going to visit with, we're going to
  41. 3:02learn about this from the producer Brian Sanders and the challenge is to stand with Israel.
  42. 3:10And so I'm excited to talk with the person behind this documentary. It's endorsed by our
  43. 3:18longtime friend David Barton of Wall Builders, Michelle Bachman, so many others. But the
  44. 3:23The director is Brian Sanders.
  45. 3:26And so Brian, I welcome you to the American Family Radio Network and I thank you for what
  46. 3:31you're doing to encourage and inform people that they might stand with Israel.
  47. 3:36Hey Brian, are you there?
  48. 3:43Brian?
  49. 3:45Okay, we're trying to get Brian Sanders on.
  50. 3:49Brian, are you with us?
  51. 3:52Hey, crew, do we have Brian?
  52. 3:58Do we have Brian Sanders?
  53. 4:02I don't know. Hey, let me know when we get Brian Sanders.
  54. 4:06One of the people that endorses this documentary is a friend of mine for many, many two decades
  55. 4:13plus Dr. Michael Brown. And Dr. Brown says of the film, Why Stand With Israel? He says,
  56. 4:21this is why you need to see the film. It will be your, it will open your eyes to God's heart
  57. 4:26in a refreshing new way.
  58. 4:29Somebody else that endorses it is a person I've had the privilege of being interviewed
  59. 4:34by many, many times, which is Sid Roth of the TV show.
  60. 4:39I'm sure you've seen Sid Roth.
  61. 4:41He's a born-again Jewish man himself.
  62. 4:44He said, the reason I participated in this film, the reason I'm endorsing this film,
  63. 4:49is when you invest in the Jewish harvest, I believe many are going to come to the Lord.
  64. 4:55You know what the Bible says in Genesis 12, God told Abraham, I will bless them, bless
  65. 5:02the and curse those who curse you.
  66. 5:06And I've often said this that the greatest favor any president could do the American
  67. 5:11people is to stand with the nation of Israel.
  68. 5:14Even right now Israel is in the news.
  69. 5:18It's amazing how whenever Israel engages in self-defense, the secular world will accuse
  70. 5:28Israel of genocide or things like that.
  71. 5:32Even right now, Israel is being accused of having broken this ceasefire.
  72. 5:39Here's the thing, the strikes in Gaza are because Hamas did not keep their word.
  73. 5:49But you know, I'm old enough.
  74. 5:50I don't know if you remember.
  75. 5:51Let's go back and lay down a little bit of history.
  76. 5:53Do you remember the, in 1978, the Ayatollah Khomeini deposed the Shah of Iran?
  77. 6:03Now many of you will know this, but just for those that don't.
  78. 6:06And it seems like Islam and violence in the Middle East has been in the news like every
  79. 6:13day of my life for years.
  80. 6:16Well in 1978 the Shah of Iran sought sanctuary here in America.
  81. 6:21And at that time, I mean you should google the pictures.
  82. 6:24I ran in the 70s.
  83. 6:28They're pictures of college girls walking around with an arm load of books being educated.
  84. 6:35But what happened, the Ayatollah Khomeini, there was a revolution and the imposition
  85. 6:40of Sharia law.
  86. 6:42And Iran, which had been fairly westernized to be a Middle Eastern country, predominantly
  87. 6:49Islamic, Middle Eastern country, the Shah, the leader, was thrown out for his life ran
  88. 6:58to America.
  89. 7:00And then Sharia law had been imposed ever since.
  90. 7:05And of course, during the Carter years, humor me as I lay a little bit of groundwork.
  91. 7:10I don't know if you remember the last year or so of Jimmy Carter's administration instead
  92. 7:16of statesmanship.
  93. 7:18They called it blinkmanship.
  94. 7:20And I'll never forget the debate in 1980.
  95. 7:24It was Reagan versus Carter.
  96. 7:27And Reagan said, look, we've got to end this thing.
  97. 7:32And they asked Jimmy Carter in the debates.
  98. 7:35They said, President Carter, if you get reelected, what are you going to do to end the hostage
  99. 7:42situation?
  100. 7:43And I ran the violence and not only were the Muslim jihadists then, they were at death to
  101. 7:53America, death to Israel, death to any infidel that opposed the Sharia.
  102. 8:00I will never forget, and I was just like 14.
  103. 8:03I didn't know much about anything.
  104. 8:04But I remember Carter said in the debate,
  105. 8:08well if we could just sit down and talk to this Ayatollah,
  106. 8:13I'm sure we could figure something out.
  107. 8:16We just need to sit at the table and talk.
  108. 8:20And it reminded me of what I had heard of Neville Chamberlain.
  109. 8:24Do you remember Neville Chamberlain?
  110. 8:26He went and brokered a peace deal with Adolf Hitler.
  111. 8:31and Churchill, they said Churchill, you're a warmonger.
  112. 8:36Neville Chamberlain comes back to England
  113. 8:38after having met with the Third Reich,
  114. 8:40and he says as he's getting off the plane,
  115. 8:43he said, all in London may sleep peaceably tonight.
  116. 8:48This Hitler, I find him to be a likable chap
  117. 8:52and we can trust him.
  118. 8:54Now meanwhile back in Berlin,
  119. 8:57Adolf Hitler told the press about Neville Chamberlain,
  120. 9:00He said, tell that old man, if he ever comes back here again,
  121. 9:04I'll jump up and down on his stomach for the photographers.
  122. 9:09And of course, the ink wasn't dry on a treaty
  123. 9:14between Germany and England, and Hitler continued his role
  124. 9:20across Europe.
  125. 9:21So in the debate in 1980 between Carter and Reagan,
  126. 9:26and I was just a kid, but I just remember things,
  127. 9:30and they said well candidate Reagan, Governor Reagan of California, if you become the president,
  128. 9:35how are you going to address the hostage situation?
  129. 9:38And Reagan, they called him the great communicator.
  130. 9:41He looked into the camera, I'll never forget.
  131. 9:44And of course, the snowflakes nearly had a brain aneurysm.
  132. 9:49Reagan said, you listen to me, Mr. Ayatollah, if I'm elected president, I will mop the floor
  133. 9:55with you.
  134. 9:57Everybody is...
  135. 9:58Oh my goodness, it's World War III.
  136. 10:00I remember I had an English teacher, I was in 9th grade, and she called him Ronald Reagan,
  137. 10:06not Ronald Reagan, but Reagan.
  138. 10:08Oh, Reagan will get us all killed.
  139. 10:10Well, if you remember, January of 81, the inauguration day, Reagan had barely said the
  140. 10:18oath of office, and all the hostages in Iran were on an airplane ride home, because they
  141. 10:24knew there was an adult in the room who meant business.
  142. 10:29And in a way, when I think about Churchill, when I think about Reagan, in the very same
  143. 10:34vernacular, you may disagree with me, but it reminds me of Donald Trump.
  144. 10:40But we're talking about Israel, and Hamas has broken the ceasefire countless, endless
  145. 10:47times over the last 47 years, whether it be, you know, on more sadot getting assassinated
  146. 10:56for trying to negotiate peace with Israel and working with America.
  147. 11:01The Islamic fundamentalist assassinated Sadat, you know,
  148. 11:04who was sitting right there at a public function next to Lady Dai.
  149. 11:11Go all the way back to Nadir in 1948,
  150. 11:16when Israel became a nation again.
  151. 11:19And that's thanks to Balfour, who was a Christian,
  152. 11:23Eisenhower, who was a Christian, Churchill, who I believe was a Christian from everything
  153. 11:30I studied, and Chaim Weitzman and David Ben-Gurion, who was the first Prime Minister.
  154. 11:39Well, one of the leaders of Syria was a Muslim.
  155. 11:45His name was Nadir.
  156. 11:47Even to this folks, and you tell me if you believe that terrorists can be trusted.
  157. 11:55When Israel was going to be reconstituted as a nation in May of 1948, there's a letter,
  158. 12:01there's a documentary that CBN produced.
  159. 12:04Nadir of Syria wrote a letter to Ben-Gurion and Vitesman and said, once again, he said,
  160. 12:16We welcome the Jews back to their ancestral homeland and how good it will be once again
  161. 12:25when the children of Ishmael sit down and break bread in fellowship with the children
  162. 12:31of Isaac.
  163. 12:34And about six weeks later Nadir was dead.
  164. 12:38He was poisoned.
  165. 12:39They said his stomach and intestines turned to concrete and he was killed.
  166. 12:46There was of course the six day war in 67, there was the Yom Kippur War in 73, there have
  167. 12:53been endless conflicts and conflagrations.
  168. 12:58And that's why, you know, Brian Sanders and the film, the award winning film, and I'm looking
  169. 13:04at the endorsers of I stand, or why, why stand with Israel.
  170. 13:10Dr. Michael Brown, Michelle Bachmann, who I've interviewed on this network, Sid Roth, who we love.
  171. 13:18David Barton, who I've known since the late 90s, folks, you need to know this incredible film.
  172. 13:26When we come back, we're going to meet with Brian Sanders. Mr. Sanders, are you there, sir?
  173. 13:31Yes, I am. Can you hear me?
  174. 13:33I can hear you. Thank you. I've been laying a little bit of groundwork, and even as we speak,
  175. 13:39Hamas is being fired upon because they broke the terms of the ceasefire
  176. 13:45agreement. I look forward to really picking your brain. Before we take a quick
  177. 13:49break into first segment, give us the website. How can people be involved? Why
  178. 13:57should America invest their attention in this film? Why stand with Israel? Yes, thank
  179. 14:04you Alex and first of all, thank you so much for having me on the program. They
  180. 14:08We can find out more about our film on our website at YStandWithIsrael.com.
  181. 14:15We also have, I would love for you to check out our YStand with Israel Facebook page, our
  182. 14:20Instagram, our Twitter, our X page and also our LinkedIn page.
  183. 14:26You know, the intent of our film was simply to educate and inspire the global church to
  184. 14:31live out its biblical responsibility to stand with Israel.
  185. 14:35So, hey, hold up.
  186. 14:36Forgive me.
  187. 14:37Hold that thought.
  188. 14:38We've got to take a brief break.
  189. 14:39We're going to come back with Brian Sanders, executive producer, director, Ystand with Israel,
  190. 14:44a film with incredible accolades and awards and endorsements.
  191. 14:49You want to learn about this film and we'll stand with Israel.
  192. 14:53Stay tuned.
  193. 14:54More after this, plus your calls.
  194. 14:56Don't go away.
  195. 15:00A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
  196. 15:03You know, often schools have mascots of animals that reflect a certain air of strength or boldness
  197. 15:10or something to be admired.
  198. 15:12You know, you think of schools with a mascot of the lions, the tigers, the bears, the bulldogs,
  199. 15:17the wildcats, all kinds of mascots.
  200. 15:20As I think about it, I've never heard of a school with a mascot that's a sheep.
  201. 15:25Because sheep don't strike fear or terror or great admiration in their ability to lead to
  202. 15:32to conquer, to overcome.
  203. 15:34Sheep are very, very helpless animals.
  204. 15:38So many places in scripture.
  205. 15:40God alludes to people as being like sheep.
  206. 15:44Obviously, that's never an insult on God's part.
  207. 15:46It's a statement of reality.
  208. 15:48And the fact is sheep desperately need a shepherd.
  209. 15:52And we are like sheep.
  210. 15:53We desperately need our shepherd, our good shepherd,
  211. 15:56the Lord Jesus Christ.
  212. 15:58Shiting light into the darkness.
  213. 16:08This is the Hamilton Corner, on American Family Radio.
  214. 16:13Hey, welcome back to the show.
  215. 16:14Alex McFarland here, always honored to sit in for Abe

  254. 18:50We really do because folks we're in a battle not only for of course the soul of people,

  266. 19:39that Brian, I want to thank you for being on with us.
  267. 19:42Brian is the producer of a film.
  268. 19:45It's got the endorsement of some of our most respected leaders,
  269. 19:4916 awards I counted on the page here, and, or no, 20, I guess it is.
  270. 19:58But why stand with Israel.com?
  271. 20:03The one who brings this film to the world, Brian Sanders is our guest now.
  272. 20:08brian thank you so much for being with us
  273. 20:10well it's an honor alexa be on your program thanks so much for having me
  274. 20:15how did you
  275. 20:16how did you
  276. 20:17become interested in israel and u s israel relations
  277. 20:23and uh...
  278. 20:24give us your journey and how you came to create this resource
  279. 20:29well uh... in twenty thirteen i was working full-time uh... with the christian
  280. 20:34broadcasting network and i was asked to
  281. 20:37cover president obama's only visit to israel
  282. 20:40and after president obama left
  283. 20:43uh... i uh... always want to go to israel
  284. 20:46uh... but i i i when i got my mike what my name was called to
  285. 20:51to uh... film this uh...
  286. 20:53one once in a lifetime event it was a great honor for me
  287. 20:56so after president obama left
  288. 20:58i had a great uh... theological conversation with a good friend of mine
  289. 21:03and after we were
  290. 21:05talking
  291. 21:06He just said to me, I think you have some replacement theology in you.
  292. 21:11And at the time, Alex, I had no idea what that was.
  293. 21:15And I, I loved Israel, but I wasn't a strong supporter.
  294. 21:20I knew the Jewish people were the chosen people at the time.
  295. 21:24And I knew God had made all these promises and covenants with Israel.
  296. 21:28But when he said to me, I think you may have some replacement theology in you.
  297. 21:31I wonder, did I add or subtract from God's Word that scripture tells us not to?
  298. 21:37Did I take God's Word out of context?
  299. 21:39Or perhaps maybe I somehow blatantly just spoke in the Word of God's Word.
  300. 21:44And then when he shared with me what replacement theology was, I knew I was an error.
  301. 21:48I completely and automatically, instantly just repented.
  302. 21:54And so for your audience that may not know what replacement theology is, I know you do.
  303. 21:58You're a pastor.
  304. 21:59It's this notion that the church believes that God replaced His covenantal people and land
  305. 22:06with us the church, and that is completely in error.
  306. 22:10Now when God makes a covenant with somebody or a nation, it says not for a season, it's
  307. 22:15eternal, it's everlasting.
  308. 22:18And so I think of Numbers 23-19 and it says that God is not a man that should lie or
  309. 22:24change his mind and unfortunately I twisted scripture because the church I was going to
  310. 22:30at the time, I won't mention the name of the church, we did say that. We said where the
  311. 22:35new Israel, you know, we took the scripture out of context when God said that they were
  312. 22:40stiffnecked. We took that that God moved from them and replaced them with this new people
  313. 22:47group known as the Gentile Christians because they accepted his son. And so I wasn't ever,
  314. 22:53I immediately repented and at that time Alex I asked the Lord to give me a burden
  315. 22:59For his covenantal people the Jewish people and the nation of Israel and since then
  316. 23:04Yeah, I guess the rest is a you know as I say is the rest of the story
  317. 23:07You know what happened and so this journey led not only to this film
  318. 23:12But now it's a film series and so it took us about eight and a half years to make this film and I got its perfect timing
  319. 23:19we were able to international lease it on Israel's birthday last year on May 14th and since then
  320. 23:26we were 19 awards we're up for a couple more but you know the the bigger thing that gets me excited
  321. 23:32and is that the church is waking up they're standing up more for the people and nation that
  322. 23:39God sent his only son to you know the guy talks about no other nation more in his word than the nation
  323. 23:45of Israel approximately 2,400 times from Genesis to Revelation.
  324. 23:51I mean it shows how much God loves the Jewish people in the nation of Israel.
  325. 23:55And there's no other nation or people that he has these loving endearment nicknames like
  326. 23:59the apple of my eye, my treasure possession.
  327. 24:03I mean even Jesus we know said that I come to the law sheep of the house of Israel.
  328. 24:10It wasn't America, it wasn't Palestine, it wasn't Rome or the Vatican.
  329. 24:14He said, I come to the law sheep of the house of Israel.
  330. 24:18And he even said that salvation comes from the Jews.
  331. 24:21He was talking about himself because he was fully Jewish.
  332. 24:25I think sometimes in the church,
  333. 24:26we kind of want to paint this narrative.
  334. 24:29And I know Hollywood kind of depicts him
  335. 24:31as this blonde hair blue eyed surfer,
  336. 24:33you see sometimes in films, but he was fully Jewish.
  337. 24:37And you know, his last name wasn't Christ,
  338. 24:41it's just the title.
  339. 24:42And his, a break equivalent, we all know, is the Messiah,
  340. 24:46which means the anointing one, the holy one of Israel.
  341. 24:50And so I think, yeah.
  342. 24:52Yeah, I gotta ask you a question because your film,
  343. 24:55and by the way, if you're just tuning in,
  344. 24:57Alex McFarland here, we're talking with Brian Sanders
  345. 25:00about the wonderful film,
  346. 25:02why stand with Israel?
  347. 25:05About five years ago, we had an award-winning video producer
  348. 25:09working with us. This individual is a Jewish lady and she's won awards doing cinematography
  349. 25:17for Fox, for NPR, decorated filmmaker. And we had hired her to help us edit some video.
  350. 25:26She was great. And, you know, inevitably we came around to the subject of Christianity
  351. 25:32in Jesus, she's Jewish, she may be listening right now. And I asked her, I said, what do
  352. 25:40you know about Christianity? And it was kind of piecemeal. And she looked at me because
  353. 25:47we had been working on some Christian apologetics videos. And we hired her because she was incredibly
  354. 25:54talented. And she said, Matt, ask you a question. And I said, yeah, she said, do Christians
  355. 25:59hate Jews. And I said, Oh my goodness, no. I said, true Christians love Jewish people.
  356. 26:09True Christians, now I said, you know, we believe Jesus is Messiah. But I got to tell you, Brian,
  357. 26:15it almost made me cry because there was just this look on her face of like, help me understand,
  358. 26:26Do Christians hate the Jewish people?
  359. 26:29Very highly educated lady.
  360. 26:31And so all of that to you, why would Christians hate Jews, which true Christians don't?
  361. 26:41And isn't it tragic?
  362. 26:42Doesn't it just pierce your heart that the precious apple of God's eye the Jewish people
  363. 26:48would think that followers of Jesus hate them?
  364. 26:54to that sentiment and what we as Christians might do to address it and eliminate that sentiment.
  365. 27:01Yeah, I'd be happy to. First of all, that is, I'm really sad to hear that when you shared that,
  366. 27:08it was almost gut-wrenching to hear that, to which people still believe that today, but
  367. 27:14honestly, can we blame them for the history of the Church and how we persecuted them,
  368. 27:19how we have are still unfortunately still anti-Semitic. We've accepted this replacement theology teaching
  369. 27:29that has been rampant for centuries. We have a survey in our film, Alex, that Life We Christian
  370. 27:35research gave us. And the numbers are staggering of why the church is still riding the fence on where
  371. 27:41they stand with Israel. And so to her point, you know, I can understand why she might be a little
  372. 27:48defensive, but I would think after the last maybe 10 years or so with all the Christian evangelical support
  373. 27:55coming to Israel, I would think that narrative maybe has changed a little bit, but you know,
  374. 28:02we didn't really do a good service as Christians to the Jewish people in our history.
  375. 28:06You know, we've labeled them as Christ-killers. I mean, just hearing that title alone. Who wants
  376. 28:14to be called that. But here's the truth of that, as you know, Yeshua Jesus said I lay my life down
  377. 28:21for no man. But He said I do only what I see the Father doing. It was His Father's will that He
  378. 28:28would lay His life down for us. So that narrative or that label for us to call them Christ killers
  379. 28:36doesn't even line up what the Scripture wouldn't you agree? Oh exactly. And let me say this,
  380. 28:42Jesus was crucified on a Roman cross.
  381. 28:46It was ours, my sins put him on that cross.
  382. 28:50And so, yeah, I mean, the Bible says he came unto his own and his own received him not,
  383. 28:58but it wasn't complete.
  384. 28:59I mean, there were many Jewish believers.
  385. 29:01In fact, my friend Dr. Michael Brown, I'm so glad you've got Dr. Brown into a brilliant
  386. 29:08guy.
  387. 29:09and born again Jewish believer. But for the first two centuries, the vast, vast majority of Christians
  388. 29:19were Jewish. Listen, it was Gentile and Jew that were complicit with the Lord's crucifixion, wasn't it?
  389. 29:29Yeah, well, that goes to Ephesians 2 that I know Dr. Brown teaches very well,
  390. 29:34called the one new man that wall of separation was broken so Jew and gentle in Gentile in Messiah
  391. 29:42can have a relationship with the Father and that that veil was torn when Yeshua Jesus was crucified
  392. 29:50on La Crosse so there is no veil of separation anymore so Jew and Gentile can now come together
  393. 29:55in Messiah known as the one the one new man in Ephesians 2 so I totally agree with that 100%
  394. 30:02And to your point, what we were talking about before,
  395. 30:06just the labels that we have given them
  396. 30:10and the things we have done as a church, we as believers, as evangelicals
  397. 30:14that love God, we love His Word, we know the covenants that God made
  398. 30:18with Israel and the Jewish people. Matter of fact, we owe them
  399. 30:22a great honor. They're the ones that wrote the Bible.
  400. 30:26You know, how would we know God? You know, how would we know the scriptures
  401. 30:30or no God personally and Yeshua, Jesus, if we didn't have the Bible that they wrote,
  402. 30:35they were written by Jews and even Jewish believers that were called away back then,
  403. 30:42the disciples and the apostles.
  404. 30:44And so we owe them a great deal of gratitude.
  405. 30:47And I would hope that would be the first thing Christians would do when they see the Jews,
  406. 30:51people or at least even meet Jewish people.
  407. 30:54First of all, apologize for how we've been in the history of the church, but also to
  408. 30:58to thank them for giving us the word of God.
  409. 31:01Like the scriptures that they wrote.
  410. 31:03And you know what's fascinating.
  411. 31:06And some of you will know what I'm talking about.
  412. 31:08And by the way, if you're just tuning in,
  413. 31:10we're talking with Brian Sanders of Why, Stand With Israel.
  414. 31:15Just the accomplishments of the Jewish people
  415. 31:17throughout history, the accomplishment of the nation of
  416. 31:21Israel since 1948, just the 76, 77 years Israel has existed.
  417. 31:28It is just miraculous.
  418. 31:31The only word is miraculous.
  419. 31:34All of the inventions, the accomplishments, contributions to medicine, contributions
  420. 31:40to technology, contributions to intelligence, making the world a safer place.
  421. 31:47Brian, as I do this program with you, I'm just a few miles from NORAD.
  422. 31:52I've got a lot of friends in the military and many men that are, you know,
  423. 31:59colonels and high intel, they talk about how it is Jewish intelligence, the best in the world,
  424. 32:07that helps make the world and the USA a safer place.
  425. 32:12Amen.
  426. 32:13The blessing of God on the Jewish people.
  427. 32:16Hey, we got to take a break. We're going to take calls.

  451. 34:00The Hamilton Quarter Podcast and One-Minute Common Terrence are available at AFR.net.
  452. 34:11Back to the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
  453. 34:15Hey, welcome back to the program.
  454. 34:18Alex McFarland here is so honored to be with you this evening talking about a very important
  455. 34:23subject, the nation of Israel, American-Israeli relations, and how I believe the church needs
  456. 34:30to stand with Israel.
  457. 34:31We're going to take your calls and again the number will get right to it in just a moment.
  458. 34:35But the number if you have a question for myself or film producer Brian Sanders, the number is
  459. 34:39triple eight, five, eight, nine, eighty eight, forty.
  460. 34:43And again, if you want to join me for lunch next week in Myrtle Beach, just email me Wednesday
  461. 34:49on Wednesday and Thursday 2627 email me contact at alexmickfarlane.com. Before we pick up the
  462. 34:57phones Brian website social media platforms how can people follow you the vital work you're
  463. 35:04doing and the why stand with Israel film. Well thank you Alex well they can simply just
  464. 35:12go to our website why stand with Israel dot com or they can go to our why stand with Israel
  465. 35:18Facebook page, our Twitter page, our X page, our Instagram page, and LinkedIn. Our film is
  466. 35:28available on DVD in North America and some parts in South America like Columbia. And
  467. 35:35it's also we have it on a digital download. We have it translated in six languages. We
  468. 35:40a transatlantic Indonesian, Romanian, Farsi, Portuguese, Spanish, and Chinese Mandarin.
  469. 35:52We just finished our Chinese Mandarin translation, so I'm not sure if it's even up on the website,
  470. 35:59but give it a few days or so. But we're hoping to get this in almost every language, because
  471. 36:04Because I believe not only the gospels for everybody, but I believe the bride of Christ,
  472. 36:10the global bride of Christ needs to fully stand with God's first betrothed bride.
  473. 36:16And that's the Jewish people in the nation of Israel.
  474. 36:18And we need to do something about these numbers that are so staggering in this survey that
  475. 36:25the Life Way Christian research gave us of how much the majority of the church is riding
  476. 36:32the fence and where they stand with Israel. And really, the numbers are truly staggering.
  477. 36:38And if you can, if it's okay, can I share some of these numbers with you, Alex?
  478. 36:42Yeah, please. I read them myself, Brian, they are pretty eye opening, but please elaborate.
  479. 36:49Yeah. So 32% say they have no strong views about the state of Israel. 63% don't believe
  480. 36:58the promised land belongs to the Jewish people.
  481. 37:01And this one.
  482. 37:02This is Christians, right?
  483. 37:03This is Christians.
  484. 37:03This is a survey with Christians for Christians.
  485. 37:06And this one is the big one.
  486. 37:08This one was mind-boggling.
  487. 37:10It was hard to wrap around this number
  488. 37:13when we received it.
  489. 37:1496% have not been influenced by their church about Israel.
  490. 37:20So what does that tell you?
  491. 37:22To me, it tells me that there's no real importance
  492. 37:26and sharing why God shows that Jewish people in the nation of Israel to be a light unto the nations.
  493. 37:33That's their prophetic calling to be a light unto the nations. There's only one people group
  494. 37:38in nation on planet earth that God made an everlasting covenant with, and that is the Jewish
  495. 37:44people in the nation of Israel. Thus, Christians, we weren't the first choice. We were grafted into
  496. 37:50this olive tree that the Apostle Paul illustrates so beautifully in Romans 11,
  497. 37:56And this olive tree, olive tree represents God's family, represents Israel.
  498. 38:00And the, there is this natural olive tree known as the, where the Jewish people are,
  499. 38:05they're on this natural olive tree.
  500. 38:07And we were this wild olive tree that a branch was separated and
  501. 38:12grafted into this cultivated olive tree with the Jewish people in the,
  502. 38:18and the nation of Israel with the, she would Jesus be in the roots of this olive tree.
  503. 38:22So we owe a great gratitude for the Jewish people,
  504. 38:27not only for giving us the scriptures,
  505. 38:30but this is where Yeshua, Jesus was, He was fully Jewish.
  506. 38:35And so we have a lot of gratitude, we owe them.
  507. 38:39And we hear a lot about in the scriptures,
  508. 38:43like the most popular scripture to bless Israel
  509. 38:45is Genesis 12, three, I will bless those who bless you.
  510. 38:49And wherever it curses you, I will curse.
  511. 38:51And through you, all the nations and in some version, say families on the earth will be blessed.
  512. 38:57I believe the New Testament known as the Britadashiah in Hebrew.
  513. 39:01There's a compliment scripture known as Romans 1527.
  514. 39:05The Apostle Paul says, you know, we owe it to the Jews.
  515. 39:09He says, for I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God.
  516. 39:13I'm sorry, this is Romans 1 16.
  517. 39:14Forgive me.
  518. 39:14Yeah, yeah.
  519. 39:15I'm getting mixed up.
  520. 39:15Romans 1527.
  521. 39:17I'm still trying to get over my cold.
  522. 39:19Romans 15, 27 says, we owe it to the Jews who blessed us spiritually.
  523. 39:24Well, how did we, how did they bless us spiritually?
  524. 39:26They gave us the word of God.
  525. 39:28It says we owe it to them to bless them materially.
  526. 39:31So hang tight.
  527. 39:33Forgive me.
  528. 39:34I want to get to some calls we've got some people holding, but I'm with you, man.
  529. 39:37The old and New Testament tells us to stand with Israel and there is a blessing in that.
  530. 39:44Let's first of all, we're going to go to Ohio, Tim in Ohio.
  531. 39:47By the way, if you have a question folks, the number
  532. 39:49triple eight, five, eight, nine, eight, eight, 40.
  533. 39:53Thank you for holding.
  534. 39:54Welcome, Tim from Ohio.
  535. 39:57I appreciate you taking my call.
  536. 40:00Before I get to my question, Alex, one thing I think you ought
  537. 40:02to explain to people is when God makes a covenant with the
  538. 40:06people, what exactly does that mean?
  539. 40:08I covered that with some of my students a couple of weeks ago
  540. 40:11because I think that's critical in understanding this.
  541. 40:14But what I've my original question is, compare this presidential administration support of
  542. 40:20Israel versus the previous administration support of Israel.
  543. 40:23Very good.
  544. 40:25Well yeah, a covenant, the word, fascinating word folks, it means to make a cut, to cut
  545. 40:33a cut.
  546. 40:34And you say, what does that mean?
  547. 40:35You remember when God made the covenant with Abraham and Brian, you were mentioning that,
  548. 40:40I'm going to give you land, I'm going to give you descendants, I'll send them a
  549. 40:44Messiah." So we often talk about soil, seed, and
  550. 40:47Savior. Well, to ratify the covenant, they cut,
  551. 40:52they sacrifice some animals, and they passed between the pieces. And essentially,
  552. 40:57folks, a covenant, it's meaning, may that be what happens to me if I bail out on my
  553. 41:04side of the contract? And at the wedding altar, every one of us that's ever been
  554. 41:09married, we say, till death do us part. Marriage is covenant. So, Brian, to Tim's question, isn't
  555. 41:16it true that of course God is not going to betray His covenant promises? Agree?
  556. 41:24Absolutely. He makes a covenant, a promise. Like I said earlier, it's not just for a season,
  557. 41:30it's eternal, it's everlasting. And so, there are so many scriptures that even back that up.
  558. 41:37So yes, and I guess the answer that the other question that Tim had was you know to compare
  559. 41:45President Trump's administration with the Biden administration it is kind of like night and day
  560. 41:50We're already seeing a lot of changes since he took office and I don't think he's been in office not even quite a hundred days yet and
  561. 41:59But anyway, he
  562. 42:01days. 57. So, you know, we see what he did with the Abraham accords and see how he is
  563. 42:07a true friend of Israel. He's standing with Israel and then you see what happened with
  564. 42:12the Biden administration. Now, did they help Israel, the Biden administration help Israel
  565. 42:17during the war? Yes, they did, but they also gave a lot more to Israel's enemies. That's
  566. 42:21not what a friend does. Yeah, we forget that, you know, so, but you know, the other thing
  567. 42:29that we saw on February 4th when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to the White House.
  568. 42:36We saw how both of these leaders, they love each other and President Trump truly stands
  569. 42:42with Israel.
  570. 42:43But President Trump did say something that I don't know if it caught your attention and
  571. 42:47that is that he said the United States is going to control and own Gaza.
  572. 42:53Now that's not our position and it's not our land to own or take at all.
  573. 42:59of all, it's God's land. You know, and he gave it to as a deed as Michelle Bachmann says in our film,
  574. 43:05and he gave it to the Jewish people. Joel 3 2 is abundantly clear about not dividing his land. And so
  575. 43:14I love that we support and defend Israel. And but we have no right to be taking over or controlling,
  576. 43:22we're saying that we're going to own it. You know, a lot of people say that President Trump just throws
  577. 43:27these things out there to get you to come to the table and that's probably true. I mean,
  578. 43:31we kind of seen his tactics, but I mean, he does love Israel, but my caution and concern
  579. 43:37is I pray that we don't follow through on that, that we're going to own the land because this
  580. 43:42is God's land. He says it so many times in Scripture and there's other blessing and there's
  581. 43:48questions to that.
  582. 43:49I want to get to forgive me. I wish we had so much time, but I want to get to Linda in
  583. 43:54Georgia Linda are you there yes I'm here hey thank you for holding welcome yes I
  584. 44:01love your show I listen to you every day on wherever you pop up at and hi Brian
  585. 44:09I was listening to you too you have so much information I was all thank you
  586. 44:14Linda listen to you I was always taught in high school and I'm trying to witness
  587. 44:20to my son and my husband also. And it always comes up about that Jewish people were murdered
  588. 44:29by Hitler because they stole all the money and kept all the, drained the economy of Germany
  589. 44:38because they would just buy and sell for kosher and for their own economy. And that was one
  590. 44:47of the reasons why Hitler wanted to get rid of them and I just think that's false. What
  591. 44:52do you say?
  592. 44:53Do you want to answer Alex or is that question to me?
  593. 44:59It's you. I've got some thoughts on that but go ahead.
  594. 45:02Well, I was just going to say I agree that it's totally false. I wouldn't say I'm a
  595. 45:07subject matter expert in that area but I would say that was I just think he had just Hitler
  596. 45:13had this diabolical hatred toward the Jewish people that he was rooted in anti-Semitism.
  597. 45:20And we share a little part in our film of how he was influenced.
  598. 45:26Do you know the reason or maybe one of the people that was very influential in Hitler's
  599. 45:31life of why he wrote Mein Kampf and why he carried out the final solution?
  600. 45:37Well, part of it was, and psychologists have written a lot about Hitler, that he was
  601. 45:42part Jewish. And, you know, there was kind of almost this self-loathing. I will say this,
  602. 45:49two things that hugely influenced that, Al-Filler, one was Charles Darwin. And Charles Darwin's
  603. 45:56belief that we evolved and some people were less evolved. And, you know, with Goebbels and
  604. 46:03the ministry of propaganda, some of the othering, in other words, to ostracize and marginalize
  605. 46:10the Jews in Germany that made these horrible cartoons and there was just this rising, for
  606. 46:19one thing, the demonizing of Jews.
  607. 46:22But then the rise of this belief that we're the master race and so it kind of was a perfect
  608. 46:29storm.
  609. 46:30I do not believe that the Jews wrecked the German economy.
  610. 46:34I don't think it was that at all.
  611. 46:35I think it was ideological and philosophical and frankly I think it was spiritual.
  612. 46:39Let me say this, I'm going to throw it back to you, Brian, but in Revelation 12, it says
  613. 46:44that Satan hates Israel, the dragon made war on the woman, that's Israel, that delivered
  614. 46:53the man-child, Jesus.
  615. 46:55I truly think anti-Semitism is a spiritual slash demonic issue, but Brian Sanders, take
  616. 47:03it away.
  617. 47:04Well, I 100% agree with that. It is very demonic, very diabolical. But to answer her question also,
  618. 47:11I would say that one of the reasons beside what you said Pastor Alex, I totally agree with that,
  619. 47:17is that Martin Luther, the great reformer, he was very influential in Hitler's reasonings
  620. 47:24and why he wrote mine comp, you know, he, you know, some of the things that Martin Luther said in his
  621. 47:31latter years in his ideology, he was very anti-Semitic and through that truly influenced Hitler to
  622. 47:38write Mynkomphe and we kind of know the rest of the story after that. And so that's something we have to
  623. 47:46bring into play also. Yeah, and we actually share that in our film too.
  624. 47:51That's good. That's what this is why you need to see the films, why stand with Israel. I want to
  625. 47:56I want to try to squeeze in one more question, Deb,
  626. 47:58from Mississippi.
  627. 47:59Deb, quickly, if you could please.
  628. 48:03OK, thank you for taking my call.
  629. 48:06Could you explain Ashkenazi?
  630. 48:08Do you just think it?
  631. 48:10Ashkenazi, yes.
  632. 48:12Ashkenazi, you can explain that.
  633. 48:14You're probably a little bit more in depth than I am.
  634. 48:19I might be getting this wrong.
  635. 48:21The Sephardic Jews, I believe, came from Spain.
  636. 48:24and Ashkenazis, I believe came from Europe.
  637. 48:27Am I right?
  638. 48:28I could be wrong.
  639. 48:29You probably know a little bit more than I do.
  640. 48:30Yeah.
  641. 48:31They call it the Dyspora, the dispersion of the Jews.
  642. 48:35This was in March of AD 70.
  643. 48:40And in the Middle Ages, Jews went to Western Germany.
  644. 48:46And then, of course, Central and Eastern Europe.
  645. 48:48So the Ashkenazi Jews are the Jews that trace their ancestry
  646. 48:53to that and really their descendants of Noah.
  647. 48:57Isn't that amazing?
  648. 48:58From Shim.
  649. 48:59But hey, Brian Sanders, we gotta get you back.
